The champions of two of the NS multiverse's premier domestic leagues meet in Savojarna, as Nepharim champions AFC Treason host Audioslavia's Cazadores Cathair. This is Nephara's first appearance in the IFCF Champions League final, having won 2 of their four final appearances in the old UICA Champions Cup - indeed, this is only their second appearance in any senior IFCF final, following Sabrefell Moths' losing run in the 3rd IFCF Cup Winners Cup. The Stags have never appeared in a senior final across UICA or IFCF before, but do however have some pedigree to build from, being the only side to have won the IFCF Rising Stars Cup twice. In total, Nepharim sides have appeared in 16 UICA/IFCF finals, winning nine of them. Their opponents in Sjoedrhavn have some pressure to fulfil though, as Audioslavia have fielded a team in the Champions League final for the 5th time already, with Cazadores the third team from Cathair (following 1830 and Shamrock) to appear on the grandest stage - however, Audioslavia have only won one of those four finals, in addition to the 2 victories in 2 appearances in the old Champions Cup. Audioslav clubs have had 10 clubs in 9 IFCF finals so far, winning three of them, with an additional 5 wins in 8 eight finals in the UICA era. Along with appearing in this season's Rising Stars Cup final, these are only Cazadores' second and third appearances in any IFCF/UICA final though, following their loss in the 66th Globe Cup final to Turoki Tide.

Herzegovina City travel to Pasarga, the Banijan club only the fourth from the association to reach an international major club final (Herzegovina's first). However, they have all been in the IFCF era, and the previous three visits have resulted in victory - one in the Champions League and two in the Liga B Champions Trophy. The S-FPL runners-up will face the Pasargan champions CA Paulinthal, playing at a stadium they may not call home but will be all too familiar with. Champions in the Rising Stars Cup two seasons ago, Pasarga's only previous IFCF final, CA Paulinthal last featured in this match as the losing side in the 25th UICA Globe Cup final, with Pasargan sides recording a further win and a loss in Globe Cup finals since, and a further 4 wins and a loss in other UICA competitions.

Valladar sides are no strangers to the big occasion though, having appeared in 23 previous finals and winning 11 of them, including 2 wins and 5 losses in the old UICA Series B Champions' Cup.

Cazadores Cathair have the opportunity to become the first side to win the Champions' League and Rising Stars' Cup in the same season in the IFCF era, a feat only achieved in the UICA era by Earent's Nithgard GU (54th UICA Champions' Cup and 6th UICA Youth Cup). This is Audioslavia's second Rising Stars' Cup final, following 1830's defeat three seasons ago, and following a win and a loss in the UICA era. Facing them will be Valanora's Raynor City United, the legendary 6 time winners of Champions' Cup and League, in a rematch of their First Knockout Round tie in the senior competition. Until last season, the Vanor side had not won an IFCF/UICA final that wasn't the Champions' Cup/League, a run broken when they won the IFCF Cup Winners' Cup last season. This is Valanora's first appearance in the Rising Stars' Cup final, having previously won one and lost one final in the UICA Youth Cup.

CA Paulinthal became the first team in the IFCF era to lift both the Challengers Cup and the Super Cup, following their 3-2 victory over the Champions League winners Cazadores Cathair in Audioslavia. This is Pasarga's 1st IFCF Super Cup as an association, and only their 2nd overall after Santos Luega's lifting of the 34th UICA Super Cup.

The 8th Champions' League: The number of teams allowed is determined according to the association coëfficient ranking, with the following distribution:

Associations ranked 1–4 (Audioslavia, Farfadillis, Kelssek, and Banija) are allowed to enter four teams.
Associations ranked 5–8 (Eura, Nephara, Vilita, and Valanora) are allowed to enter three teams.
Associations ranked 9–33 (Zwangzug, Savojarna, Siovanija and Teusland, Eastfield Lodge, Pasarga, Turori, Valladares, Ko-oren, Brenecia, Chromatika, Squornshelan Remnant States, Astograth, Poafmersia, Crystal Empire, Taeshan, Zeta Reka & Hügeltaldom, Græntfjall, Tequilo, Krytenia, Mriin, Quebec and Shingoryeo, Squidroidia, Equestria, Ethane) are allowed to enter two teams.
Associations ranked 34 and below, and unranked associations, are allowed to enter one team.

Special considerations:

Cazadores Cathair and CA Paulinthal are assured places in the Champions' League group stage. If either fails to qualify through their domestic league, their association will receive an additional place. If either titleholder qualifies for the Challengers' Cup, their Challengers' Cup place will be vacated.
Shango-Fogoa Premier League: Has eight places. Farfadillis and Banija must each enter at least three teams.
V-League: Has five places. Vilita must enter at least two teams and Turori must enter at least one.
United League: Has four places. Equestria and the Crystal Empire must each enter at least one team.
Ancherion Super League: Has two places, which must be filled by their two primary associations.
Because Freeport (ranked 14th) is a secondary association and the United League may only register two primary associations, 33rd-ranked Ethane is allotted a second place in the Champions' League.

The 8th Challengers' Cup: Every association is allowed to enter three teams. Multiassociational leagues with two primary associations may enter six teams, of which no more than four may be from the same association; associations ranked 1–4 (including Farfadillis and Banija) must enter at least two teams each, and associations ranked 5–12 (including Vilita) must enter at least one team each.

The 8th Liga B Champions' Trophy: Every association is allowed to enter three teams. Multiassociational leagues with two primary associations may enter six teams, of which no more than four may be from the same association.

The 8th Rising Stars' Cup: Every association is allowed to enter one team. (The youth teams of clubs which reach the Champions' League group stage will also be entered.) Multiassociational youth leagues with two primary associations may enter two teams, which must be from different associations.

Raynor City United is assured a place in the Rising Stars' Cup. If it does not qualify as champion of its domestic youth league, Valanora will receive an additional place in the youth champions' path. If its senior team qualifies for the Champions' League group stage, it will enter the Champions' League path instead.

Additional Notes:

Participants are reminded to follow the proper entry format for both clubs and final site bids.
Participants are also reminded that if they wish to enter a club with a different name to that which differs from current IFCF records, that they should make a clear note of any such changes along with their submission, even if such a change would alter even one character in the club's name.
With the release of the Super Cup results, the IFCF Council is currently pencilling in a mid-September deadline (12th/19th September) for the next IFCF. This is subject to confirmation, in consideration of other factors such as the timeline of the WCC competitions.
The IFCF Council is currently opening up discussions for codifying the competition regulations and also proposals about the reforms to the competition structure. These discussions will continue right up to the next cutoff, with plans for the full implementation for the 9th IFCF cycle.

Athearan Football League

The Athearan Football League consists of two, and formerly three, divisions for association football in Atheara. They are known as the Athearan League 1 and League 2. Each League consists of 18 clubs, which means 36 clubs in total. Each League has a thirty four matchday season, as each club must play other clubs at least twice, in home and away ground. The Champion of League 1 will participate in the IFCF Champions League, and the Top 4 will participate in the Challengers Cup, excluding the Champion. At the end of the season, the Top 4 of L2 will face off against the Bottom 4 of L1 in a single Best of One play-off match schedule to determine promotion/relegation.

The Athearan Championship is the oldest Cup tournament in Atheara, however only forming in 1982. The Top 8 teams of L1 and the Top 4 of L2 qualify, with the Top 4 of L1 immediately going to the next round. The higher you are in seed overall, the easier opponents you get. The play-offs are (8, L1 vs 1, L2 ; 7, L1 vs 2, L2 ; 6, L1 vs 3, L2 ; and 5, L1 vs 4, L2) the Champion of the League either will face the 8th L1 seed or 1st L2 seed, third seed faces either 7th L1 or 2nd L2 seed, and so forth. The tournament then proceeds as normal.

And now with Atheara's affiliation with Anaia, Atheara can also send the League Champion and Cup Champion to the LigAnaia. However, since the Astena Rangers won both the League and Championship, then the Top 2 will be sent instead. And with a bit of debacle, the League board decided to allow the Top 3 of L2 to participate in the Liga B Champions Trophy.

Kotzellach Football League

The Kotzellach Football League is a three-tiered system comprising of 30 clubs from Kotzellach. The teams are split into three-divisions; namely, the 1.Liga, 2.Liga and 3.Liga. At the end of each season, two teams from each division are relegated and promoted in kind. The ten teams in each division play each other four times, giving a thirty-six game season; the season runs from August to May.

The winner of the league gets the privilege of playing in the inaugural CAFA LigAnaia; and hopefully do better than the national team's shambolic performance there. With the KFF's decision to enter teams into the CAFA LigAnaia, the season numbering was reset; this will be the first season of the CAFA era.

Once again, Kotzellach's oldest football club, 1.FC Kotzellach, overcame the challenges posed by nearby neighbours Hansa and regional neighbours Runtenbach to claim another title. It wasn't all smooth sailing; after all, on the opening matchday, they lost 4-1 to Hansa; but in the end, 1.FC Kotzellach managed to come through using the power of consistency and good goalkeeping. After all, conceding only 26 games across a 36-game season must count for something.

Bregenzer and Axvall went down, to the pity of most; while Koletten and Union Ruysdael, always a thorn in the side of the government for their unabashedly left-wing stance on most issues, were promoted. The two teams were barely able to be touched by the rest of the 2.Liga, with Janholt putting up only a minor challenge.

Kotzellach Challenge Cup

The Kotzellach Challenge Cup is contested by 32 teams; the 30 teams in the league system get an automatic bye to the group stages while the non-league and semi-professional teams must battle it out to reach there. Once they reach there, the format of the Challenge Cup is similar to that of the World Cup; 8 groups of 4, with the top 2 advancing to a single-elimination tournament. There is, however, no third-placed playoff.

This season, the two sides to make it through the gauntlet of non-league teams were Neun Sterne FC, a team playing in lime and based in the Reiss Islands — and with several links to the great green country of Mertagne to the south of Kotzellach — and Kotzellachstadt Salzstätter, a team comprised mainly of Salsteadish immigrants, playing in their country's home colours of red and black. Needless to say, both teams did their own fans proud by reaching the Group Stage; and perhaps there will be more of such teams in the future. With the group stages settled — and with a fair bit of intrigue of its own — Neun Sterne somehow finishing top of their group being the main surprise in Group A, while not many people expected 1. FC Kotzellach to only scrape through on goal difference, nor Lokomotive Munnenstadt to get through the groups; the knockout rounds could begin. The teams finishing first in each group would play at home; the format would be A1 vs B2, et cetera.

1. FC Kotzellach therefore won the Kotzellach Challenge Cup, completing the double; but since they had already earned a berth due to their league performance, the second CAFA LigAnaia berth therefore went to FC Eigengrau, the cup runner-up, who, finishing fourth, arguably earned the right to participate in it too.

And therefore ended another season of Kotzellach football; whether the KFF would send teams to the IFCF competitions in future, nobody knew; but they'd probably want to prove themselves on the international arena before dipping their toes into that gauntlet that was the IFCF.

Procedural Notes:

The entry of Red Eagle SC (Krbustan) was rejected as the club in mention intended to qualify through an end-of-season play-off. Associations are reminded that play-off winners and super cup winners are ineligible to take part in the Cup Winners' Cup.
The entry of Ponyville United (Equestrian States) was rejected as no evidence of results of a domestic cup or league cup competition was found.

Welcome one and all to the fifty-fifth edition of the Cup Winners' Cup, brought to you by the International Federation of Club Football or IFCF for short. This edition of the competition will see 56 clubs from 55 associations participate, as many clubs and associations as the last edition, with Raynor City United entering as titleholders after failing to qualify through the berth allocated to the Vanorian domestic cup system. With 56 clubs taking part in this edition, the titleholders as well as the cup winners from the top 7 ranked associations in the pre-IFCF 7 coëfficients will receive a bye to the first round proper, while the remaining 48 clubs will take part in the preliminary round with the 24 winners advancing to join those 8 clubs in the following round.

Final Site Election

Four football associations (Pasarga, Valanora, Kelssek, and Turori) expressed their interest in hosting this edition's final and sent their bids, with all of them being accepted by the Organizing Committee. This time, one delegate representing each of the bids in contention was invited to spend a day as an operator at the contact center of one of Valladares' leading companies...in amount of complaints lodged per hour. There, they had to sit down from 6 am to 8 pm and listen to thousands of annoyed, confused, curious or merely clueless customers and try to solve their problems, questions, complaints, concerns, suggestions or congratulations (albeit the latter ones could be counted with the fingers of a hand) without collapsing to the pressure of the job. At the end of the day, the CEO was satisfied at the record amount of solved queries, however, none of the four delegates wanted to accept a full-time job at the company. And the rights to host the fifty-fifth Cup Winners' Cup final were awarded to the delegate representing the bid that solved the most complaints, which was...Kilmonarch in Stein-los, Pasarga (cap. 72,000).

Named for an inspiring leader who persevered despite tremendous odds, Tlanx-Nulzk Hal Elementary School is nestled in a comfortable neighborhood within the city, only blocks away from two public parks! The school has some of the smallest class sizes of any school within the the district, geared towards fostering a love of learning from an early age. Our teachers love their students, and it’s amazing to see how much their minds grow every day they’re engaged in enriching, challenging, yet age-appropriate, learning experiences. Your little learner will love it here at Tlanx-Nulzk, and we hope you’ll love our happy learning community, too.

Now that you’ve all listened to the new-parent enrollment pitch, if you’re here for the host stadium bid for the inaugural LigAnaia final, we’ve submitted our school playground. It’s not quite as big as the sorts of normal soccer fields I’m sure you’re used to seeing on TV, but we’re a public school, after all. The game would also have to be played on a weekend, or during the summer, during the daytime. I know someone asked about scheduling the final on an in-service, but the teachers will be in the building at that time, so that wouldn’t really work, I’m afraid.

A few other things to keep in mind are that the south end of the playground has a play set, including slides and monkey bars, and it’s filled with wood chips, not grass, but I think the teams play one half on one side and one on the other, so I’m sure it’d even out. And if it doesn’t, I have one or two lesson plans about sharing that I can pass along in case you run into any complainers. Now, if you’d like lines on the grass, I can talk to our custodian to see what we can do, but the play area is bounded by fences on three sides and by the asphalt section of the playground on the fourth side, so we usually don’t need lines when we play.

Also, you asked about spectators? We don’t really allow strangers on school grounds, so the best I can do is say that neighbors across the street could let some people watch the game, but only if they brought their lawn chairs. Maybe a few could sit on the Olsens’ porch, but you’d have to ask them, I don’t know. Does anyone have any other questions?

Notes for Cup Winners' Cup Entry

Each association may enter ONE club into the Cup Winners' Cup, with the exception of Audioslavia which may enter one club in addition to AC Izotz Zubia.
Should AC Izotz Zubia win their qualifying national association or league cup, the spot held over for a second Audioslavian entrant will be vacated.
Clubs can only qualify through ONE domestic cup competition.
Each user may enter clubs from no more than two associations. Puppet nations must be declared upon entry.
With the exception of AC Izotz Zubia, all entered teams must have won a national association or league cup; super cup winners and winners of play-offs cannot be entered.
Entrants must be posted in the International Domestic Soccer NewsWires (i.e. this thread), and at least the last three knockout rounds of the domestic cup tournament (i.e. quarter-finals, semi-finals, and final) must have been scorinated and posted (with a link in the IDSN if it is posted elsewhere).
The deadline for Cup Winners' Cup entry will expire at the same time as the IFCF one.

Stadium bids for the final of the 56th edition of the Cup Winners' Cup are now being invited. Only stadiums with a minimum capacity of 30,000 people will be eligible to bid for the final, and bids should be posted in this thread with relevant details of the stadium and its facilities.
