PRIMEIRA DIVISÃO PORTO END BELÉM'S RUN

It was an exciting and dramatic season in which the victors were Porto. Having one of the better starts, they were consistent through and through and reaped the rewards in May. Sporting Clube de Lusitânia came second, due to some slipups that could've been avoided (for example a draw against Faro), leaving them with more draws. Sevilha were third by a point. Requiring a lot from a handful of players, it was a tough season for them and so it's a respectable result. Their loss to Sporting in Nervião by 1-3 probably cost them the runners-up place. Francisco Gama's injury mid-World Cup Qualifiers had affected them, in particular against Braga but third is still a decent classification for the Alvorubros. Next up are Braga and Belém respectively. Now, the defending champions didn't get the best of starts, and had a rollercoaster season. Their draw at Académica (2-2) put them out of the qualifying area, meaning Braga would take it. Braga had a positive season for the most part, but the fact they qualify ahead of the others is interesting and is or probably in the top half of the expectations, as it would be very hard to get in.
Following these teams and already mentioned Belém, we enter the mid-table teams. Next came S.Miguel. The Azorean club did their best efforts at home, but didn't seem to find the same form outside of the archipelago. Managing to get good results at the Sta.Clara, things are looking up for them in this new season. Beira Mar, Académica Coimbra and SCUT all finished on 57 with the same record. Académica were a stone in some teams' foot but could also enter a bad break of form. Either way, they finished in a respectable position, which still continues their recent tendency to get better. Beira Mar were expecting better after a few good seasons but 57 is their final tally. Rafa Guerreiros' injury did not help their efforts in defence. Meanwhile, SCUT have been a very weird club ever since they won the championship. They have had very good innings but have also sometimes been just outside relegation. This season puts them back around their usual location - mid-table. Their new investment in youth has been seen with the Ascension of central midfielder Estevão Eustáquio. Their objective next season should be to better their performance of this one.
União Tomar are mid-table along with Portimão. This is mostly owed to Jaime Virigínia's many saves, despite conceding 60 and ending on a +4 goal differential. Their counter-attacking style suited them well in their first season up from Honra. It'll be interesting to see where this will go next season. As for the Algarvian side, their attack was much superior to the Templars' but they also had a weaker defence. They were in and out of from and it's been a wild ride, depending on what they do this summer, it's a question mark where they'll land next.
The Leiria side managed to stay well afloat this time out, scoring as many as Portimão but only bagging 51 points (6 less than the referred). The young revelation of the year came from Leiria. Young Bernardo Veiga was part of Bemfica's schools but after a transfer to Leiria last season, he has gradually becoming one of their most prolific players, with this season culminating with his Selecção callup.
A gap into the forty points now, with some teams that would usually be up competing for the Globe Cup. Flaviense managed to complete their objective to remain in the top flight however. Things were never certain for the Trás-os-Montes club but it worked out positively for the club. Belavista, Bemfica and Covilhã managed to get 47 Points this season. The eagles of Bemfica are still struggling from the investigation five years ago financially. This is an improvement on narrowly escaping relegation though. The players in their lineup haven't been playing particularly well this season. As for Belavista, they finished with a superior goal difference meaning they led the three in the end. SC Covilhã were in trouble at the start of the season, spending some time down in the relegation area. Their previous manager was sacked and it took them a while to find a new one. Pedro Correia, former Braga and New Lusitania manager and coach, would take on the job in January, with an interim filling the job for one and a half months, doing a decent job of actually getting away from Faro and Bético. As usual, he managed to not only stay afloat, but by a considerable margin aided by the assistant's time ending up over ten points over relegation. Marítimo and Vitória Guimarães both led interesting seasons for the neutral spectator, as they were surprisingly the other two to finish afloat. That part wasn't the surprise, but the fact that they were so low in the table was, with their season was redeemed by their Cup win at the Jamor Stadium. Marítimo had a good home record but their away adventures were absolutely atrocious this season, leading to their 16th position this season. This meant that this year's relegated sides were Sporting de Faro and Real Bético, reducing the number of teams from the South. Both teams had unimpressive seasons and in the end, most would agree that they are the weakest links and should therefore go down.

FLAVOVESPIA FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Image

The 26th season of the Super League proved to be yet another exciting season, with another final day title decider, battles across the whole division and many exciting matches. A new team made their debut this season, and many teams felt optimistic about their results. A season by season review is presented in reverse finishing order, along with the final standings.

Guildwell Football
For Guildwell, their very first Super League campaign ended in acute disappointment. Whilst there will always be fans who will say that they just enjoyed the experience, the reality of finishing with just 2 wins, 17 points and 19 away from safety was much lower than their fans really hoped for. The problem Guildwell faced was a crushing lack of attacking force, just 25 goals all season in the League was 12 lower than the next lowest team. Having stunned many to even reach the Super League, their season ended all too disappointingly, and their cup campaigns were not spectacular either.
Guildwell return to the Challenge League next season, likely without a few of their stand out players from this season. They will look to previous small town teams who have had multiple chances at the Super League, and hope to emulate them. Even with their struggles this season, expect them to be pushing for a play-off spot at the minimum.

Carston Green FC
Promoted as Challenge League champions, there was an air of optimism around Carston Green, as they hoped to re-establish themselves as a Super League. Outside the relegation zone on 12 points at the halfway point, the fans were nervous but cautiously hopeful. Sadly they would not win another game until the penultimate game of the season, a poor run of form consigning them to relegation.
Carston Green return to the Challenge League, but should once again be favourites to win promotion back to the Challenge League. The division however is more and more competitive, and it could take more than one season for it to happen.

Westwood Garden City FC
A team with a “yo-yo” record, Westwood Garden City made the all too familiar descent back into the Challenge League. A spell of 5 consecutive losses in the second half, at a point when other bottom-half teams hit good form, left the team with too much to do with too little time, and the team once again suffered relegation. With the worst defensive record in the league, it was always going to be hard to stay up when it wasn’t possible to keep the goals from going in the wrong end for them.
If Westwood Garden City can fix their defensive woes, then they would be well poised to potentially make an immediate return back to the Challenge League. However that is a big if, and they won’t be the only side expecting to win promotion next season.

Sporting Towerhaite
13th place, but thankfully free from any true threat of relegation, Sporting Towerhaite will be somewhat okay with how the season turned out, even if they had a poor second half. In their distinctive ecru kits, Sporting Towerhaite have always been at risk of relegation anytime they’re in the Super League, but managed to be consistent enough to avoid that this year. Disappointment however came in the League cup when they were upset by Sandneston Rovers of the Western League.
Next season will be another where Sporting Towerhaite look to first and foremost avoid relegation. Moving up the table will definitely be high on the agenda of the team as well.

Vale FC
Promoted via the play-offs, Vale FC looked like a team that would be facing relegation. Initially a relegation fight was feared, despite a good few opening games, but a late run of form left them safe with a handful games of the season left. Beating one of the outer Waldster rivals Sporting Towerhaite in the league also pleased their fans.
Next season looks to likely be another in the fight to avoid relegation, but if they can pull off some competent performances with some consistency, Vale should avoid the second season curse.

Bavingtor FC
Dreams of their unbelievable title win in 24AU inevitably faded as Bavingtor seemed to loiter around the spots just above the relegation zone. For a while it looked like they’d be in a relegation scrap with Westwood Garden City, but turned it around quickly enough to be comfortably clear of the relegation zone, thanks to some impressive goalkeeping performances. They also made the Quarter Finals of the Flavovespia Gold Cup, but a loss to Apsbrooke at home rather took the shine off of their cup run.
Replicating their good defensive form and improving their attack would see Bavingtor go a long way to avoiding any relegation fears, and move back up the table for next season.

St Astons City FC

With ambitions of a Globe Cup qualifying spot, St Astons City had a very disappointing season all around. At no point did they ever put in any sort of form that could lead to them getting into the Top 3 or 4, and at some point pundits wondered if they could fall into relegation. That didn’t come to fruition, but in the Flavovespia Gold Cup Round of 16, they suffered an embarrassing upset to Challenge League side Millsea, themselves based in St Astons. An all round poor season for the Saints.
Next season St Astons City should be aiming for the Top 8 as a minimum, and absolutely not suffer any embarrassing cup upsets, or else their fans will become increasingly worried with the players, management and ownership.

Butterfield Rovers FC
9th wasn’t quite the top half spot Butterfield Rovers looked like achieving for many parts of the season, but for a mid-sized team, they can’t be too disappointed with that result. Reaching the quarter finals of the Flavovespia Gold Cup and semi finals of the League Cup also pleased the fans, even if they couldn’t quite go all of the way. The team haven’t quite reached the heights of the late teen and early twenties era of 5 or so years ago, but consistent performances in the Super League will please them.
Next season looks to be more of the same, with a Top 8 finish being a good goal to aim for, and at least another decent cup run for them.

Kings Lunsel FC
8th in the league was a lot lower than expectations for the defending champions, but they won the Flavovespia Gold Cup against Loxthorpe Rovers, who had beaten them in the League Cup final this year. With the Flavovespia Gold Cup victory, Globe Cup football has been achieved for the Kings. Kings Lunsel struggled to achieve anything more than mid-table mediocrity in terms of form, so a title defence and league qualification to worldwide competition fell away quickly, but they’ve qualified via the cup.
Next seasons Kings Lunsel will have worldwide football to focus on, but that shouldn’t stop them from aiming for another top half finish, potentially with the aim of worldwide football qualification again.

Hadford Hill FC
After the difficulties in recent years, Hadford Hill managed to achieve 7th, once considered a poor result for a team of their stature, but now is quietly regarded as a sign of progress by many. For a while a chance of even qualifying for the Globe Cup seemed to be realistic, but the form wasn’t quite there for the Reds. Nevertheless they’ve shown some good performances, and have banished many of their relegation demons it seems.
Top half finishes are pleasing to a team plagued with so many issues the last decade despite being one of the traditional powerhouses. Many however think they need something more than 7th next season to truly re-establish themselves as a powerhouse.

Marthorpe City FC
Marthorpe City aimed for worldwide football qualification, but fell short, spending much of the season in the lower top half of the Super League. Finishing ahead of Hadford Hill somewhat satisfied their fans, but the embarrassing loss in the league cup to Old Marthorpe in their debut Challenge League season and often seen as the little brothers of Marthorpe City disappointed many of their fans. Not the season the fans were hoping for, but certainly not a complete disaster.
For next season, Marthorpe City need to please their fans with better performances in either the league or cups, but with their squad and resources, that should be a realisable goal.

Apsbrooke FC
The stand out team of this Super League. Expected to be in the relegation fight, the were instead in contention for the Globe Cup qualifying places for a long time, reached the quarter finals of the league cup and the semi finals of the Flavovespia Gold Cup. The dreams of the fans didn’t quite come to realisation, but ultimately the season exceeded expectations for everyone.
It’s unlikely to see Apsbrooke replicate 5th place, or even the Top 8 again. On paper avoiding a relegation fight will be the aim, but the team should be comfortably lower mid table, somewhere from 9th-12th. The cup competitions are their best chance for headlines.

Loxthorpe Rovers FC
Winning the League Cup was nice for Loxthorpe, but losing out on Globe Cup football by losing the the Flavovespia Gold Cup final will sting, especially seeing their rivals Langmere Green Rovers play worldwide football. Loxthorpe Rovers had dreams of a very high finish, but had a relatively poor first half of the season. Form picked up in the latter stages, but wasn’t quite good enough to take a Top 3 spot. 4th place takes a Globe Cup spot if a Top 4 team wins the Flavovespia Gold Cup, but Kings Lunsel took that spot from Loxthorpe Rovers, and the Flavovespia Gold Cup trophy.
Next season Loxthorpe Rovers will want nothing more than worldwide football, and will definitely be aiming for that. With their squad it is certainly possible, and the fatigue of more matches won’t be an issue for them.

Waldster FC
Waldster looked uncatchable with 36 points from 45 in the opening half of the season, but couldn’t keep that form going. With 3 games to go, they had a lead, but a catastrophic 6-2 loss to rivals St Astons City in the 28th game, and then a final day 5-2 loss to Butterfield Rovers knocked them into 3rd, a position they were above all season. For the fans, it was an embarrassing capitulation, and even the fact they made worldwide football couldn’t make up for such a pathetic end to the season.
Next season Waldster will want nothing more than to win a title to compensate for such a dramatic collapse. It should be achievable, and the team will also hope to at least be competitive in the Globe Cup.

Langmere Green Rovers FC
Some say 2nd place is the first loser, but as far as 2nd place seasons go, Langmere Green Rovers had a great one. 2nd only became their position after the very last match day, having not looked certain to even get into the Globe Cup. Early cup eliminations, to Challenge League Cartswood in the League Cup were a disappointment, but a strong finish to put them into the Globe Cup and above their rivals more than made up for it.
Langmere Green Rovers surprise many by continued success in the Super League. On paper another season this high is unlikely, but they are not a team to be ruled out.

Stanmorn FC
Stanmorn, after years of being a yo-yo team, years of cup runs but falling away at the top of the league, finally had their dreams come true and became the Super League champions for the first time ever. A moment every player, coach, staff member and fan will always remember at the club, and with it comes a Champions Cup spot. A 1-1 draw in the 27th matchday against Waldster left them 2 points behind, but they held their nerve, beating Guildwell Football, then drawing away at Hadford Hill and confirming their status as champions on the last day by beating Marthorpe City at home in front of their fans, even if Waldster’s capitulation would’ve seen them win regardless of the final result.
Every team dreams of starting a dynasty, but realistically Stanmorn probably won’t even go into next season as favourites to lift the Super League. Never say never though, and with the Champions Cup reward, who knows where that could take them?

Binclestead Wood FC, with 25 seasons in the Super League, were heavy favourites to win promotion straight back up. However they struggled in the opening weeks, leading many to wonder if they could fail at their task. Ultimately they succeeded as Challenge League champions, but only beat South Maishop FC on goal difference. The latter prove once again to be the little team that can as they return to the top division.

In a season where it seemed like a few points were separating almost all teams, it was Croxlich FC who looked consistenly in the promotion fight, even if they fell just short of an automatic promotion place. They redeemed themselves however by winning the promotion playoffs. The other relegated sides of Narrock Wood United FC and Henhaven Islanders FC had enough form to make the playoffs, but both fell short of promotion in the end. In a finely balanced season, it was newly promoted Nailwood Mills FC who took the final playoff berth. Unfortunately any hopes of a fairytale promotion to the Super League fell in their defeats to Croxlich.

Capton Club narrowly made the playoffs last season, but this season the coin fell the other way for them, as they only managed 7th. Hopford FC always looked close to getting into the Top 6, but in the end had to settle for a very respectable 8th place finish. After a terrible 24AU seeing them relegated to the 3rd tier for the first time ever, Abbots Lunsel FC immediately returned to the Challenge League. They had hoped for a playoff appearance, but in the end a poor end to the season pushed them down to 9th place. Whilst 10th place wasn't quite the same highs Millsea FC reached last year, their great performance in the Flavovespia Gold Cup compensated for that. Rumlington Rovers FC had playoff ambitions, but inconsistent form put them too close to relegation for comfort. In the end 11th place was where they ended, avoiding the drop thankfully. A bright start saw Batchingtonwood Rovers FC enter the promotion picture, but a collapse in form pushed them to the brink of relegation with only a small number of games to go. They turned it around and took the final safe spot.

Havermilly FC didn't seem to struggle, but poor form at the end saw them relegated to the Western League in sad circumstances for the club, a side who not that long ago looked on the brink of reaching the Super League. Cartswood FC end their time in the Challenge League after many seasons with a 14th place finish, never able to pick up those crucial last few points to stay safe. Old Marthorpe FC were always going to find their first 2nd tier appearance tough, and ulitmately fell short of ever looking like staying up, but still gave some decent performances. Oxwich FC ended a disappointing season where rivals Croxlich were promoted with a last place relegation, never looking like staying up, a poor showing from a side who weren't even newly promoted.

Sandneston Rovers FC and Claychester FC pushed each other down to the wire, so it was fitting that they both won promotion via the league and playoffs respectively. Slaton FC took a very respectable 3rd, Redthwaite Rangers FC return to the league took them to the playoffs. North Mayshop FC were only 5th, which was a bit of a disappointment for the promotion chasing side.

Saltearth FC were much improved to take 6th, just outside the playoffs. Langpool Capton FC had a so-so season in 7th but 8th will be pleasing for newly promoted Napsmouth FC. Westwood FC took 9th again, followed by Caffchin FC and Vitarias Legion, who no doubt will feel like they had underwhelming seasons. Boleland Wood Town FC will be concerned with yet another poor season, and Magic Roundabout FC did just enough to avoid an unfortunate relegation back to non-league football.

Combury FC[/b ]made an immediate return back to the non-league Alliance, whilst Floombury United FC and South Hadford United are relegated after a streak of a few seasons in the need, and will no doubt want to make a quick return.

Boll Lake Mariners FC lived up to their yo-yo reputation with an immediate return to the Challenge League as Eastern League winners. Buchraston FC came 2nd, but failed in the semis of the playoff. Captonbridge Rangerd FC came through to win the playoffs, one of the older sides in the nation returns to the Challenge League. Whittlesbury Wanderers will be disappointed with consecutive playoff losses, but making the playoffs is still a good sign. Leabury FC surprised everyone to make the playoffs, and just fell short in the final.

Gann FC will be disappointed with not even making the playoffs in their return to the Eastern League. Ashland Common took a great 7th place for the village side, followed by Radstye Rangers FC happy to be in the top half. Henhaven Palace FC and FC North Waldster will take their midfield places with an acknowledgement that they avoided any major relegation fears. Locksmith-on-Carron FC would have been disappointed with 11th, thinking that they could have got into the top half, with Frostbrook Rovers FC having similar thoughts. Johns Park FC were very lucky to not end up the first ever ex-Super League side to end up as a non-league side.

Oxwich Wood FC suffer immediate relegation in their latest league stint, with Highhadford FC relegated having narrowly avoided so last year. Lunselbury FC in their first ever league season meanwhile looked out of depth and unsurprisingly found themselves out of the league after 1 season in it.

Flavovespia Gold Cup
With the added bonus of a Globe Cup berth, the Flavovespia Gold Cup took on added incentive for the 160 teams involved. With the big teams entering in Round 2, most of them got through without any major upsets, indeed the match of the round was the 7-6 AET away win for non-league Dame Roundabout FC against Ashland Common. Round 3 saw Super League teams fall away, although to other Super League teams. Hadford Hill FC losing at home to Apsbrooke FC was somewhat of a surprise. Round 4 saw the upset of the cup as St Astons' based Challenge League Millsea FC put a 1-0 win over St Astons City FC.

Into the quarter finals and Millsea joined 7 Super League sides. Sadly they lost 3-0 at home to Waldster, a side who have had struggles in this cup before with smaller sides away from home. Into the semis and despite getting the luck of the home draw, Waldster were defeated 3-1 by Kings Lunsel. In the other match, Loxthorpe got the 2-1 winner in extra time to defeat plucky Apsbrooke FC. The final was a repeat of the League Cup, but this time Kings Lunsel FC took a 3-1 win to lift the Flavovespia Gold Cup and take a Globe Cup berth.

TimLig and Vizier's Cup Summary

by Tufan Nursultan

Image

Apologies for the lack of update in this paper on the league, the interns kept writing summaries, but they were spiked because they'd use the word "Radical" too much. The season came to a close last night, so we will look back upon the second half of the league season and the Vizier's Cup plus reveal the sports staff at this paper's team of the year.

Vizier's Cup: A Dream Run Ends in Tragedy

The inaugural Vizier's Cup took place during the leagues brief hiatus, the first round involved the bottom 8 teams in the Amateur League each playing a game at home, then away. The aggregate score was used to determine who advanced.

First Round
Meclisin Takim 0-1 Haftaspor
Haftaspor 1-1 Meclisin Takim (2-1 agg)

Bilim Adamlar 1-0 Balikcilar
Balikcilar 1-0 Bilim Adamlar (1-0 AET, 1-1 agg, 4-2 PKs)

Asker Takimi 0-1 Havicilik Isciler
Havicilik Isciler 0-0 Asker Takimi (1-0 agg)

Vefa 0-3 Devlet Memur Takimi
Devlet Memur Takimi 1-1 Vefa (4-1 agg)

The first round yielded little in the way of shocks, however Vefa would have liked to performed better than they did against a team only one place ahead of them in the league. The match between Balikcilar and Bilim Adamlar was by far the most enthralling contest going all the way to penalties. The second round introduced the remaining league teams into the mix, leading to 32 teams battling it out from here for the inaugural cup.

Second Round
Altinordu 1-1 Tutunspor
Tutunspor 10-2 Altinordu (11-3 agg)

Yildirimspor 2-5 Sekerspor
Sekerspor 1-4 Yildirimspor (6-6 agg) (Sekerspor wins on away goals rule)

Tarim Isciler 0-1 Altinmaden Isciler

Ampul Fabrika Takimi 1-2 Tanrispor (1-2 AET, 3-3 agg, 2-1 PKs)

Caykur Denizspor 1-3 Ilac Fabrika Takimi
Ilac Fabrika Takimi 1-1 Caykur Denizspor (4-2 agg)

Kilicspor 0-1 Yumruk Idman Yurdu
Yumruk Idman Yurdu 1-1 Kilicspor (2-1 agg)

Demir Buyukkentspor 1-1 Urukspor
Urukspor 2-0 Demir Buyukkentspor (3-1 agg)

Uryanspor 0-1 Demirspor
Demirspor 4-2 Uryanspor (5-2 agg)

Manat FK 0-2 Hisar FK
Hisar FK 2-1 Manat FK (4-1 agg)

Haftaspor 0-0 Balikcilar
Balikcilar 2-0 Haftaspor (2-0 agg)

Havicilik Isciler 0-2 Devlet Memur Takimi
Devlet Memur Takimi 0-0 Havicilik Isciler (2-0 agg)

Atinordu found themselves unable to figure out exactly what happened after their 1-1 draw in the first leg turned into a 11-3 aggregate defeat at the hands of their league rivals Tutunspor. Amateur League teams Yildirimspor and Sekerspor needed away goals to seperate them after a stunning comeback fell short from Yildirimspor. Bakir FK fought a tough battle against Elektriklestirmespor, who edged them 5-4 on aggregate.

Round of Sixteen
Tutunspor 3-1 Sekerspor
Sekerspor 3-3 Tutunspor (4-6 agg)

Altinmaden Isciler 0-1 Karspor
Karspor 1-0 Altinmaden Isciler (2-0 agg)

Karairmakspor 0-1 Devlet-Bira Fabrka Takimi
Devlet-Bira Fabrka Takimi 0-2 Karairmakspor (1-2 agg)

Ampul Fabrika Takimi 1-4 Ilac Fabrika Takimi
Ilac Fabrika Takimi 4-4 Ampul Fabrika Takimi (8-5 agg)

Yumruk Idman Yurdu 0-0 Urukspor
Urukspor 0-1 Yumruk Idman Yurdu (0-1 agg)

Elektriklestirmespor 1-0 Almat JK
Almat JK 0-1 Elektriklestirmespor (0-2 agg)

Demirspor 3-4 Hisar FK (3-4 agg)
Hisar FK 6-3 Demirspor (10-6 agg)

Balikcilar 0-0 Devlet Memur Takimi
Devlet Memur Takimi 2-1 Balikcilar (2-1 agg)

The draw for the Round of Sixteen ensured that there would be an Amateur League team in the Quarter Final, with Tutunspor beating out Sekerspor by a margin of two goals, their win at home being enough to see them through. Elsewhere the normally stout defence of Hisar FK conceded 6 over 2 games, but their offensive prowess bailed them out as they ran out 10-6 winners over 2 legs. Two Workers League rivals fought out an epic over both games, ending in an 8-5 aggregate victory for Ilac Fabrika Takimi.

Quarter Final
Tutunspor 0-0 Karspor
Karspor 1-1 Tutunspor (1-1 agg) (Tutunspor wins on away goals rule)

Karairmakspor 4-7 Ilac Fabrika Takimi
Ilac Fabrika Takimi 3-1 Karairmakspor (10-5 agg)

Yumruk Idman Yurdu 1-1 Elektriklestirmespor
Elektriklestirmespor 1-0 Yumruk Idman Yurdu (2-1 agg)

Hisar FK 2-1 Devlet Memur Takimi
Devlet Memur Takimi 0-2 Hisar FK (1-4 agg)

Tutunspor's dream run continued with a last second equaliser seeing them through on away goals against Karspor. Ilac Fabrika Takimi once again relied on their frontmen to deliver them victory as they beat Karairmakspor 10-5 over both legs. League strugglers Yumruk Idman Yurdu's enjoyable run came to an end against Elektriklestirmespor. Meanwhile, Hisar FK's defence refound their fortitude as they ran out 4-1 winners over Amateur League team Devlet Memur Takimi.

Semi Final
Tutunspor 0-1 Ilac Fabrika Takimi (0-1 agg)
Ilac Fabrika Takimi 0-1 Tutunspor (1-2 AET, 2-2 agg) (Tutunspor wins on away goals rule)

Elektriklestirmespor 6-1 Hisar FK (6-1 agg)
Hisar FK 4-0 Elektriklestirmespor (5-6 agg)

Tutunspor's run looked to be at an end, until another last second goal saw them take Ilac Fabrika Takimi to extra time. Their luck seemed to continue as they grabbed an early goal in extra time. Enough to see them through on away goals to the first ever Vizier's Cup final. In the other semi final, things looked to be over for Hisar after Elektriklestirmespor steamrolled them 6-1 at Tim-Enerji Park. However on the return journey to the nation's capital, Hisar almost took the tie on away goals, Yusuf Akman surely regretting that he found the bar from his 88th minute penalty rather than the back of the net.

Lineups for the Final:
Image

Final
Tutunspor 2-4 Elektriklestirmespor
Goalscorers: Bayram Tansu (2, 34); Tekin Yavuz (10), Ertan Renda (47, 88), Recep Koyuncu (77)

The final was an unexpected competetion, between a team from the very bottom league and a middling top tier team. The game began with a shock as Tutunspor frontman Bayram Tansu scored a goal following a miscommunication in the defence. Elektriklestirme captain Tekin Yauvz quickly answered with a free kick in the 10th minute. However, Tutunspor clearly wanted to make this a real fight, as Bayram Tansu scored with a well placed finish in the 34th minute. Tutunspor would take the lead into halftime, giving their top tier competition a shock that they looked they might not recover from. However, shortly after the beginning of the second half, Ertan Renda, himself having an exceptional season equalised for Elektriklestirme. Then followed a period of stubborn and effective collective defensive effort from the underdogs that made it look as if the game might be taken to extra time target man Recep Koyuncu put Elektriklestirme ahead in the 77th minute. Ertan Renda then rounded off the victory in the 88th minute with a penalty slotted in the bottom right corner. While Tutunspor's romantic run fell at the final hurdle, there will almost certainly be some interest from higher league teams in a lot of their players come the domestic transfer window.

TimLig: A Clear Winner and a Miracle Escape.

When we last left TimLig, there was a tie at the top of the table between Manat and Hisar, with both sitting 4 points clear of their nearest competitior, meanwhile Yumruk IY and Kilicspor looked destined to be cut adrift as the league restarted.

Sudden Rule Change Forced Through

Contrary to the rules set out at the start of the season an emergency vote of the Football Federations executive lifted the restrictions on selling players abroad for all teams and purchasing foreign players only for the top division teams, though a foreign player limit of 4 will be in place. Should a team with foreign players in their team be relegated they will be given a years grace period to sell or otherwise release that player from their contract should they remain in a lower decision.

Seraxinbourgh has officially withdrawn its entries to the UICA competitions and the Cygnus Cup and has instead submitted it's 8 qualified teams to compete for the "Elite Shield" as both Baranil and Wara-Salas have submitted teams into UICA competitions.

The Elite Shield is an 8 teamed tournament that consists of 2 groups of 4 teams who play all of the teams in their group once, with the highest ranked team in each group playing 3 home games whilst the other 3 teams play 1 match at home and 2 matches away from home. The top 2 teams in each group qualify for a 2nd group stage where the teams play the 3 remaining teams once with 1 match being at home, 1 being away from home and 1 being at a neutral venue. The top 2 teams qualify for a 2 legged final and automatically qualify for the next Elite Shield.

The RLFA'S OFFICIAL SEASON REVIEW!
3rd Legandian Premiership

The Lions Return

The Third Legandian FA Premiership saw Leighton Albion take the title for the first time in over ten years, in a special "Final" due to the finishing standings.
In the start of the season, favourites were the two past winners Lincolnpoole and Stagmouth, though some hoped that as Real Canterford matured they'd also start being in the race. Eintracht and Fercastle had had good seasons in the previous edition and were looking to prove that they could step up. Stagmouth Rovers had survived the previous year whilst Marcoton and Easttex had gone up to the Premiership. There were questions on who would go down but there were no certainties, although the public questioned the Rovers' capability of staying up another year.
A typical summer afternoon kicked off the season. The first matchday had a Derby that would prove Marcoton's as they played Academical. They would pull a respectable draw. Meanwhile defending champions Lincolnpoole got off to a good start with a win away at Kingsfort. However, by the end of the golden month, August, Valefort United surprisingly led the table with ten points in four matches with Lincolnpoole a point behind after a defeat against Academical (3-2, MD2). At the bottom Rovers and Deancastle sat with almost no points. September showed the Students on top with Valefort, both on seventeen points. It was quickly apparent who would be in the race for relegation.
The coming of autumn meant things were well under way, you'd've waken up or fallen asleep and started playing catch-up. Marcoton Academical had started slowly, mainly due to some complicated matches but they shot up the table, being top, with Valefort come the end of the month. Canterford were in a position to take the trophy for the first time since their eighties' triumphs, as Lincolnpoole and newly promoted Marcoton City also chased. The fact that both their goalkeeper and their two usual strikers were unavailable during the season's start meant that Mark Sherry once more had his "Curse of the Summer Injury", costing his team more than the usual title, but this time their very maintenance in the competition. With them, Deancastle with a mere five points too, it's a position they were usually accustomed to by now but it made it no less of a worry if it would be this time they'd go down. As the leaves turned brown, Valefort's reign would finish due to a sending off and an injury in central midfield. The club's manager, had a weak transfer season mainly due to salaries. Most clubs in a position to fight for the Globe Cup weren't traditional clubs from the smaller cities and so could offer thousands of pounds a week to players, but Valefort could not. Marcoton Academical would be the sole beneficiary of this as they now cruised at the top of what was so far a good season. Despite a four point gap, Leighton Albion was looking as a major threat with the game between them still to go. A point behind the Lions were the colts of Canterford Sport Club, still holding with Griffonham and Lincolnpoole also in the hunt. The return of Kingsfort's better players meant a return to usual form, meaning they quickly got away from the relegation area, which left Deancastle in last and Stagmouth Rovers above them, which were under a small transfer budget that relied on Loans and youngsters.
As December rolled in, and the Holidays came through, the first batch of games was complete. Leighton Albion were the ones to beat, on 37, with Marcoton Academical a point behind, with Canterford, Marcoton and Stagmouth just behind. Stagmouth Rovers and Deancastle were the two teams that remained in the relegation area.
By mid-February, Academical had lost a point after a draw against Newville (1-1), which put them two points from Leighton Albion. Canterford and Stagmouth maintained their positions. The same two maintained the last two positions and were practically condemned at this point.
Entering the final five matchdays, Academical (48 points) were reduced to third place with Canterford SC (49) going up to second by a point. Five points above them though, were Leighton Albion (54) which were convinced that the title was theirs by this point despite some more complicated matches at the end. Marcoton's drop was due to their defeat against the Lions of Leighton away (2-0) and at Royal Crownbridge (1-0) and Canterford themselves (2-1).
In the following week, Leighton Albion drew their game against Real Standard at home, despite their opponents being off form, their star man Bastoix scored the equaliser as Marcoton Academical travelled to the defending champions Lincolnpoole, at Delphwood where they would take a win (1-2), and Canterford SC had the easy task of beating Deancastle at home (2-1). This would mean that Leighton stood with 55, Canterford 52 and Academical with 51.
The following week, however, the Dolphins beat Leighton resulting in Lincolnpoole's contention for the Globe Cup by a convincing scoreline (1-3). That same week, Academical scored a measly one point against Valefort at home as Canterford lost in Insbrooke (2-1). This would mean Academical were the winners of the round hopping back into (joint) second place, only three points off Leighton Albion.
Three matchdays to go, and after the previous week's rain, it would be a day of intermittent sun between the clouds. Although the best game would traditionally be Lincolnpoole vs. Stagmouth Athletic (3-1), there was still a title race on. Academical saw their hopes of the title go away on ninety minutes when Easttex scored a late goal. However, on Sunday, they found out they were still (just about in it) after Newville managed to beat the Lions by 2-1. Canterford recieved Cup finalist Griffonham United, which put on a good show in which they ultimately won (1-2). Everything was the same after this matchday, meaning with two matchdays to go, Leighton Albion could already secure the championship.
That wasn't to be however, as Fercastle felt inspired on the day to go in and win in the Northwest (1-2), as Canterford drew at Delphwood two all. However, Academical's win against Real Canterford put them joint top with a game to go (2-1). The surprise of the day came from Rovers who manage to beat their city rivals by 1-2 away at Sarford. This would mean it would go down to the wire.
With everyone playing at the same hour, a result could be known in the next two hours of that Sunday. Academical would travel to Deancastle, whilst Leighton Albion pwould travel to Stagmouth Rovers. The Academics scored first, with Albion scored a tad later. Before halftime, Deancastle scored the equaliser with cheers erupting over in Leighton. The second half would see two goals over at Riverpoint, with a corner giving Academical the winning goal in Deancastle. This case hadn't been seen in almost two decades and saw the Premiership heading into a playoff. The previous one had been between Lincolnpoole and Stagmouth Athletic and just like then, the game would see as a host the Royal National Stadium, in Crownbridge. Meanwhile, Stagmouth Athletic and Canterford SC headed towards the Globe Cup. A practically full stadium, would be host to a great game, one that couldn't be we settled in ninety minutes. Just as penalties loomed over, in the second half of extra time, Albion scored, courtesy of the unlikeliest of heroes, Thomas Derry. It was all over, and it would be the Lions, for the first time in seven years, lifting the top tier's trophy and booking a ticket to the Champions Cup as Academical were shipped to the Globe Cup.

DIVISION TWO: BOURNECASTLE Celebrate Title

Bournecastle were the ones to lift the title this season after 91 earned points with Sporting Legandia going up with them meaning two teams return for the first time in a while. The latter team would take the top scorer though as Paulo Carvalhal took the top spot with 38 goals in 32 matches, the youngster showing that he could be one for the future. Then there was Radleigh who would also head to the SBCC, beating a disappointing (and disappointed) Lincoln County, whose caretaker John Dominic steered them to 4th and not midtable from January onwards. Under them would be recently relegated Iverfell, along with Edinkirk and Porto da Conceição. Highpark were off form in the last few matchdays and could only pull 8th. SC Dragonfield, Knightsdale Athletic and the Wanderers surprised with poor performances, as Trouthall made it at last! Going down however would be, Burlingham, Carleigh and Ballybury.
League One's Winterburn Rovers, Oxcross Albion and Legandia Crownbridge would see Championship football in their place.

The Galacticos are back! Perhaps a little late through the door, but fashionably late. Always, always fashionable. Long too late to be of use for a WC roster, but history doesn't age. It just matures.

For those unfamiliar, the Galacticos label exists to honour the best players in world sport, though it uses club football (specifically, UICA season 72) as its primary indicator of success, skill and proven results. As is traditional, a long-list (of 90) will be announced before the primary ceremony later on dictates the Galacticos Shortlist, the actual Galacticos, and rates 3 through 1 the finest Managers, Young (U21) Players and, finally, Players themselves, of the Season. In the time-honoured tradition of the ceremony, most around the world will ignore the list, and its results will be argued relentlessly. The judicial committee expects myriad threats to its collective well-being, perhaps on the NSSport Discord. And we would have it no other way.

Now presenting; the Galacticos Long-list!

The Galacticos short-list is here! Time to shoo out the pretenders; only the strongest remain. This is the squad that could take on the world and win, from true established greats to less heralded players who pulled off the seasons of their career. And anyone who can count themselves among the Starting XI of the Shortlist can call themselves one of the Galacticos. There will be controversy. There will be tears. The inexplicable exile of Laborious Hawk will continue. Presenting...

Goalkeepers
Hesterine Mercator - NPH - Eastweald (COS)
Came in to be a bulwark at the back for an possession-focused side

Hector Calixto - AUD - Ulsa (EUR)
Commanded an impeccable defence in an attack-minded league

Robert Griffin - EUR - Sabrefell Moths (NPH)
Progressive GK of successful assertive side, impeccable with ball at feet

Rightbacks
Iben Fjortoft - VAL - Raynor City United (VAL)
Versatile, intelligent and always in the right place at the right time to snuff out chances

Scott Coles - EUR - Ulsa (EUR)
Fearless attack-minded fullback whose partnership with Saroszi terrorised Goldleague

Centre-halves
Peter Svensson - COS - AFC Treason (NPH)
Perhaps the best defender of the era, even approaching his twilight. Four-time Galactico

Martin Delgado - VLD - Nacional (VLD)
One of the standouts in a cultured Nacional side that swept the domestic awards

Vallois Mackenzie - EFL - Royal Jam FC (EFL)
The brick wall in the centre of a defence that conceded just one goal every three games

Garrett Horgan - BRE - Northern Union (BRE)
From second tier to here in record time, the defender's defender, rock-solid

Leftbacks
Ulima Salam - EFL - RGS Athletic (EFL)
Not the 'sexy' pick and yet never missed a step en route to CC glory

Marcin Close - NPH - Brinemouth (BRI)
The stable hand at the tiller of a relentless marquee team, seamlessly switches phases of play

Right Midfield
Lazar Eleonora - FFD - Holdenberg (EUR)
Among the top goalscorers from the right flank, and the top assister full stop - Eleonora got results

Bryger Tidesson - COS - Brinemouth (NPH)
Somehow good value at 65 million; high-speed, low-drag, always dynamic

Central Midfield
Chimera Moxham - NPH - Crawford City FC (COS)
All-action playmaker, thrilling in motion, sweeping the domestic awards and international spotlight

Aaron Aiza - EQS - Hondo FC (VAL)
Evergreen globe-trotting playmaker per excellence, someone who can always make the difference

Jevdjevic Ocokoljic - MYT - Newrook City (NPH)
Almost single-handedly clawed his side to new heights, relishing the love

Storm Holsen - AUD - AC Izotz Zubia (AUD)
It takes a lot to overshadow Hawk, but Holsen was impossible to dislodge

Left Midfield
Brian Bond - EUR - Eastweald (COS)
An icon as much as a player, striding the field with an eerily brutal grace

Annabeth Westmoreland - CBP - Hondo FC (VAL)
Can play anywhere, do anything, and find anyone with a pass from any position

As of last night, eleven people can proudly step forward and proclaim; "I am a Galactico." But of course, an entire world separates being 'a Galactico' and the Galactico, the brilliant sun amidst a galaxy of stars. We will not keep you in suspense much longer...

GALACTICOS MANAGER OF THE SEASON
3. Apple Jack - EQS - Treftadaeth Alliance (COS)
Trefta came eleventh. So what's Apple Jack doing here? Well, keep in mind - Trefta are largely comprised of terrible players who scraped into promotion, and yet in his first season of management, Jack ensured he got the players he needed to bulk up the squad, and then gave the team the chemistry and momentum to survive. Easily, in the end. Certainly one to watch.

2. Daniella Strauss - NPH - Corvette Maulers (NPH)
A similar story - a young emerging manager in charge of bolted-together spare parts, but her challenge was arguably even greater, the Maulers never even remotely having been considered promotion-ready - and yet, they went up, with less to invest, and played attractive, passing football. Like Jack, Strauss was given the Manager of the Year award; it's been a year of underdogs, it seems, and the Galacticos are always down to tap into a zeitgeist.

1. Tlanx-Nulzk Hal - QUS - KF Qastyr (QUS)
"Who?" Exactly. Capping off an unconventional set of managers, Tlanx-Nulzk takes the crown not so much for the domestic title - though that was sealed as well - but for their achievements in the Champions Cup. With all due respect to their squad, their fullbacks were early-30s free transfers from the First Division and Legaskari. And yet they not only stood up to the big boys, but topped a group of death containing Spartangrad, Brinemouth and Tanrisal, before bowing out more than respectably at the quarterfinals.

THE YOUNG GALACTICO
3. Alexander Jager - PAS - Revolutionaries (EUR)
3. Morena Deventer - NPH - Brinemouth (NPH)
It takes a lot to muscle your way into football's most expensive team as a callow homegrown, but Deventer managed it. She's every bit the Brinemouth type, tall, elegant, photogenic. A trickster, but with purpose. And she was able to stand up to the kicks in a notoriously hard-bitten, physical league.

2. Moira Woakes - EUR - Carsby (EUR)
The defending champion of the youth award, Woakes managed one more goal and one more assist this year than last. She broke glass ceilings through sheer determination; breaking defences must seem like child's play by comparison. She's one of the rising stars worldwide, and surely set for fancier settings than Carsby.

1. Chimera Moxham - NPH - Crawford City FC (COS)
Scraping the envelope for what constitutes a young player, sure, but sweeping the youth and normal player of the year awards? That's persuasive. Moxham one-ups her club and country colleague Rusalka Klein, shortlisted last year - indeed, the two were #1 and #2 in the domestic awards this season. An assertive, creative and surprisingly not insufferable maverick playmaker, someone whose first touch is more than enough most of the time, a thrilling, high-tempo player.

THE GALACTICO
3. Chimera Moxham - NPH - Crawford City FC (COS)
Look. She had a really, really, really good season, okay? But she won't be replicating her domestic feat... not quite.

2. Lazar Eleonora - FFD - Holdenberg (EUR)
How does Eleonora do it? It seems to come naturally - more realistically, it's the work he's put into making it look so easy. He's Farfish, and getting on a bit. If you want someone who tracks back, go look for Brenecians. Eleonora makes the difference going forward, at his best unleashed from the framework on unsuspecting defences, hauling Holdenberg to victory.

1. Desya Kuznetsov - AUD - Brinemouth (NPH)
Kuznetsov came in as part of Brinemouth's bank-breaking spending spree and scored 40 goals in the league alone, setting a record that may never be broken. He played with a raging fury, seeming to wrestle the world to its knees with every match, and while he didn't really do a lot besides score goals, HE SCORED FORTY GOALS. Or, as he'd put it in his 'unique' approach to sentence structure; "I goal many". Look, who says you needed to be literate to be good at football?

Thank you, and see you again next season!

As per the results of the 5th season of domestic football in Siovanija and Teusland, the Siovanija and Teusland Football Association (STFA) is proud to submit its qualifiers for UICA and other international competitions as according to these results:

Preview Part I Part II Part III Awards/Review/Cup Final

The STFA proudly submits these qualifiers and final site bids:

Siovanija and Teusland (STL) Qualifiers:
UICA Champion’s Cup: 1912 Stelburg
UICA Globe Cup: FC Teussen Stelburg, Olympia Borograd, Energija Chernovets
UICA Youth Cup: FK Metropola Borograd
Cygnus Cup/Cup Winner’s Cup: FC Teussen Stelburg
AOCL: 1912 Stelburg
VCIAPP: SW Stahlberg
IUCC: Luftwaffenakademie, Chernovets Teknologischen-Institut, Universitat-Stelburg
Dwile Invitational: 1912 Stelburg, FC Teussen Stelburg, Olympia Borograd, Energija Chernovets

Siovanija and Teusland (STL) Final Site Bids:
UICA Champion’s Cup: Olimpski-Stadion, Borograd (60,000)

The Olimpski-Stadion is one of the largest stadiums in Siovanija and Teusland, and is the centrepiece of the city of Borograd’s sporting scene. Located downtown in the capital, it has been redeveloped several times to reach its current state. It is home to the Olympia Borograd football club, one of the biggest in the country, and has also been home to 4 first-class international matches of Siovanija and Teusland.

The stadium brings retro and modern together, with much of the exterior remaining from first opening and celebrating the history of the club, while the interior has been kept fully with the times. It gives the stadium a unique charm, and one that the Olympia Borograd supporters appreciate. The city of Borograd and the Olympia Borograd Football Club have partnered together to try and bring the UICA Champion’s Cup Final to the stadium, and it is hoped that an opportunity to host would certainly raise both the club and city’s profile on the international stage.

The city of Borograd is the capital of Siovanija and Teusland, and is located in the Ljubica River in the western half of the United Republics. Borograd is a modern hub with something for everyone, and its Old City is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the country. The organizing committee proposes fan zones in Milan-Dimitrov-Square and Republika Square, each within 2.5km of the stadium, for visiting fans to gather. Milan Dimitrov International Airport, the second-most-trafficked airport in the nation, will also be fully ready to handle the demands of a major international final. Olympia Borograd and local rivals FK Metropola Borograd would each make all of their training facilities available to the finalist clubs. Accommodations for visiting players, UICA officials and other dignitaries would be available at the 5-star Hotel Republika or the 5-star Borograd Centre Hotel and Conference Centre.

The city of Borograd, in partnership with the government of Siovanija and Teusland as well as the STFA, looks forward to future cooperation with the UICA, and hopes to welcome the 74th Champion’s Cup Final to the Olimpski-Stadion.

IUCC Final: Jagdgeschwader-Rot-Stadion, Lubeck (25,000)

Jagdgeschwader-Rot-Stadion is located in the town of Lubeck (30 minutes southwest of Stelburg) and on the campus of the Luftwaffenakademie, the national air force academy. Lubeck is a quiet town situated on the banks of the Drai River, and was also home to Georg von Streicher, the first Marshall of the United Republics Air Force. Upon retirement, von Streicher established the Air Force Academy in his hometown, and ever since it has been the leading producer of pilots and officers for the URAF.

The stadium is situated on campus, and its main purpose is actually for graduation ceremonies. It is also used in athletic competitions between the cadets, and serves as the home to the Luftwaffenakademie Flyers football team. The Flyers are now twice champions of the Alumni Cup, and reached the Quarterfinal of the 33rd edition of the International Universities Challenge Championship.

The stadium is named for Jagdgeschwader Rot (Combat Wing Red), a flying division of the URAF. Jagdgeschwader Rot were known as some of the finest pilots in the nation, but the division lost 9 pilots during a rescue mission in a hurricane over the Nordsee. All 9 were graduates of the LWA, and the main event ground on campus was thus named for the division. Today, JG Rot is still known as the finest flying wing in the nation.

The Luftwaffenakademie and the town of Lubeck hope to welcome the finest university football athletes of the world to take part in the IUCC 34 Final.

The San Felix Football Association proudly presents the brand new LIGA MAYOR. Sponsored by CITIZEN BREWERY C.A

With 12 teams, each team plays two games (home & away) against teams in the league. Midway through the season, teams break for the annual All-Star Game, an exhibition game between the league's finest players and a major club from a different league. At the end of the regular season, the team with the highest point total is awarded the Shield of Liberty and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. The play-off stage is played between the four highest-placed teams of the season.

Instead of operating as an association of independent teams, Liga Mayor is a single entity in which each team is owned by the league and operated by the league's investors. The league has a fixed membership, which makes it one of the world's few soccer leagues that do not use promotion and relegation.

T E A M S

Atlético de San Pablo:
Profile: Decent, youth development, flashy, eternal rivals with San Pablo.

Backstory: Founded in 2004, Atleti was formed to represent San Pablo (at least, Westside San Pablo) in national friendlies. It is widely known that most players in the Atleti squad are just there thanks to their parents' connections, controversy ensued when Atleti would not hire players from the inner city or the east side of San Pablo, claiming that they were not people that the team wants to be associated with. This led to the foundation of San Pablo F.C in 2005, in response to the discrimination Atleti showed to players in San Pablo and thus their rivalry was born, a symbolic confrontation between the luxurious and expensive West and the frugal, industry-based East.

Key Players: Arturo Montenegro (ST · 20 years); Josue Isturiz (ST · 19 years); Eduardo da Silba (CMF · 24 years old)

San Pablo:
Profile: Strong, focused, hardcore fans, eternal rivals with Atletico de San Pablo.

Backstory: In 2005, following controversies regarding Atletico de San Pablo. The citizens of San Pablo formed a soccer team in protest to the discrimination shown by Atleti to young players from East San Pablo. To everybody's surprise, they were quite good. San Pablo F.C has won 17 out of the 23 matches they've played against Atletico. San Pablo is also known for their hinchas, people that live, breathe and eat football. San Pablo's fans range from discreet people who just have the shirt or a flag to full-blown fans with San Pablo tattoed on their chest, back or bottom.

Key Players: Alvaro Pinto (ST · 23 years); Tyson Perez (AMF · 25 years); Jonathan Campos (CB · 21 years old)

El Valle F.C:

Backstory: The story of El Valle F.C is one filled with mismanagement and near bankruptcy. Founded in 2004, El Valle was one of the first teams to win a Campeonato Nacional, they were growing at a fast rate and exceeded everyone's expectations, but, in less than three months the club was submerged in debts and couldn't keep up with their growth. In 2008, just four years after its opening, the club was discussing filing for bankruptcy. Fortunately for El Valle, ex-CEO of CorpoHal, Rosario Paredes took over the team and managed to save it from bankruptcy by cutting half of the team's staff and selling the ground for the team's brand new stadium, along with borrowing some money from business partners. Several years later, El Valle F.C is one of the strongest teams in the Liga and never fails to impress.

Key Players: Carlos Villegas (GK · 20 years); Freddy Palacios (DMF · 26 years); Igor Reyes (ST · 19 years old)

Club Marinos' budget is an estimated 78,929,412 pesos which are the highest budget in the league. Club Marinos haves a tainted reputation between Felixians around the country due to several corruption scandals over the past years and the fact that their supporters tend to be very arrogant. In spite of the budget and the fame, the Marinos are suffering from a 5-year dry season without trophies.

Key Players: Bryan Laguna (ST · 20 years); Manuel Sarmiento (CMF · 19 years); Michael Rueda (ST · 19 years old)

Juvenil de la Victoria
Profile: Strong, youth development, defensive, rivals with C.F Aguizu.

Juvenil proved to be the best out of every team by winning 5 out of the 6 college cups that were held between 2002 and 2008. In 2009, they joined the first Campeonato Nacional, Juve later won the 2010 and 2014 Campeonatos. An internet poll was opened and people voted for the team's name. In third place: Salseros (Salsa dancers/Salsa lovers), in homage to Zali's famous salsa singer Joe Rivas. Second place went to Petroleros (Oilers), due to Zali's newfound fortune in the oil business. Profile: Decent, flashy, hardcore fans, rivals with Rojos de San Martin.

The name Diablos (Devils) was received poorly by the Arzobispal Church of San Felix, the institution that claimed that that the team's name was causing a bad influence between the youngsters of Mercedes. An exciting first round! Juvenil leads for the moment with an impressive clean sheet; no losses at all! With El Valle trailing back for just ONE point, although, they are the leaders in goal-scoring as they have 56 goals for. Club Marinos looks strong too with 24 points. And with that, we are officially done with the league! El Valle completely dominated the season and caught up to Juvenil to snatch the Shield of Liberty to themselves! Pistoleros also managed a great comeback by knocking out San Pablo out of the play-off four and securing a spot for themselves in the Globe Cup. But it's not over yet: We still need to go through the play-offs to determine who's going to be the very first Liga Mayor Premier to appear in the Champions' Cup!

Play-offs

Application

Postby Abbeville » Tue Jul 30, 2019 2:37 am

I wish to enter 4 teams to the Globe Cup. They will be:
Rishton FC,
Birstwith Capital FC,
Espinosa United,
and Abbeville National FC.
These are the four highest placed teams in the Abbevillain Premieres, and I believe they should be able to be placed in the qualifying rounds for the tournament. I hope this can be possible and that you will reply eventually.
Just in case you can include some but not all, this is the order:
1st) Birstwith Capital FC
2nd) Abbeville National
3rd) Rishton FC
4th) Espinosa United
Sincerely,
Jamie Smith
President of Abbeville
