Final site bid
Football Federation Kelssek puts forward Stadium Konoha in Burnaby as a final site for the Globe Cup and Cygnus Cup.
Built in 1984, the stadium has a capacity of 54,000 and is located adjacent to the downtown core and served by, unsurprisingly, the Stadium metro station. It is the home ground of the Burnaby Lions rugby club and hosts high-demand matches for the football club Burnaby SC. It was renovated ten years ago at the considerable expense of angry taxpayers to install a spectacular retractable roof with blinking lights. The stadium concessions are capable of serving beer at a rate of 3,000 pints per minute.

The dynasty duopoloy of Titanes and Phoenixux is over as Panethokoi finally surmounts the type of challenge that we have been waiting to see for years from the club against the power two in the Superleague. However they only just snatched the title, having been tied on both points and goal difference with AE Knaxii, a very surprising season of triumph for them as well, but held the second tiebreaker in goal conceded, earning Panethokoi their first title. For years everyone believed that they had the talent and resources to topple Titanes but they failed to deliver on all that promise, this season they finally delivered and years of pent up frustration comes to an end. It has to be hard to take for Titanes and Phoenixux both, who finished third and fourth respectively, missing out completely on the international competitions and now scrambling to try and figure out just where things went wrong this season so as to climb back to the top next season.

National Championship League Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts

5 Skybrough FC 8 1 4 3 17 23 −6 7 - Relegated from NCL

After the completion of the National Championship League, the R League, and the RW League, the major football season in the Redvale is over and who will represent the nation in UICA competition has been determined. FC Maris has been dominant all season after signing a new manager that's proved himself to be a legitimate tactical mastermind, and reloading with fresh attacking talent. Janford City won three straight titles prior to this season, and represented the country in the Champions Cup qualifying and then in the Globe Cup group stages last season, but they didn't have much depth and fell down the stretch due to an injury to starting striker Elias Basajuan. On the women's side, FC Maris won also, breaking another Marisian drought in the process. With the NCL done, the country will finally see which teams will be the ones to represent Redvale abroad.

Redvale (VLE) Qualifiers
Champions Cup: FC Maris
Globe Cup: Sporting Avgaria, Janford City, FC Maris Ladies
SBCC: Castle United, Deportivo Valle Rojas, Bankers United
Youth Cup: Midland Bluesox
AOCL: FC Maris

Redvale (VLE) final site bids
Champions Cup: Elysia Dome, Elysia, Midvale Province(99,000)
The Elysia Dome could be considered the finest stadium in Midvale, and while it is home to the Elysia Blades of the Gridiron League, the stadium can be used for multiple purposes and has also hosted several big association football matches for the two main clubs in Elysia. It was built 30 years ago in 479, but was renovated in 502 and expanded from 89,000 to 99,000 seats when the north and south sections of the stadium were converted from seated areas to bleacher seating. For football matches, the stadium uses a natural grass field, and the pitch size for this stadium is the largest allowable one, making the place feel larger than it actually is. The traditional bench setup has been ditched here in favor of baseball like dugouts for both sides, which is a unique feature that managers will notice right away while playing here. While the majority of the sections have seats, the north and south sections behind the goal are bleachers, as well as the eastern and western sections on the highest deck. The stadium has three main decks, with the third often being home to some of the most rowdy fans in the country because of the low ticket costs to sit at the top of the dome. When weather is bad, the dome is closed, but if there's no rain, it only takes about ten minutes to open it again.

Globe Cup: National Energy Park, Castle, Southern Coast Province(55,000)
The new home of Castle United, paid for by Bay Athletics owner Jakub Skolburg, started construction last season and will be ready by the time the group stages of the Globe Cup are about to start. This place has a unique design, with tightly packed seating in most of the stadium and seating that's very close to the pitch, but with no seating on the north side of the ground. Instead of having a stand on the north end, there's a large press box that gives those seated inside it a different view of the match than the usual box seat view. The southern end of the ground has a large stand to compensate, with the lower deck being a terrace and the upper deck being convertible to one with some quick changes to the seating thanks to the safe standing technology used by the designers of the place. Calling the stadium home is Castle United, who unlike FC Castle, doesn't have to share their ground with a gridiron team. Because of this, the stadium is football specific and has certain extra features relating to that such as heated grass and sight lines that are specifically designed for the sport. While the stadium is new and shiny, don't get the wrong idea and think that it's corporate and soulless. The designers did a good job of building Castle's working class culture into the area around the stadium, by surrounding the ground with street food vendors and cheap working class pubs. There's also a large mall only a few miles to the north, which may be useful for tourists looking for something to do after the match.

Series B Champions Cup: The Armory, Markham, Midvale Province(27,000)
Markham Armor fans haven't had much to cheer about in recent months, but their stadium definitely isn't one of their gripes. They have one of the better grounds in the R League, because while the size is small compared to the giant arenas of Maris and Avgaria, the fans are extremely close to the pitch in this ground and the atmosphere could be described as intimate. Unlike some grounds where the terrace is behind the goal, the terrace runs from left to right along the middle of the pitch on the left side of the stadium, meaning that the fans can be heard by the players all over the pitch and not just behind the goal. This also creates a unique visual effect for the television cameras, as it's possible to see the fans jumping and shouting no matter where the players are. The majority of the rest of the ground uses bleacher seating, making the place look smaller than its capacity would suggest, but the area behind the north goal has luxury seats. The stand on the other end is a bit smaller, because there's a video board in the middle of it. The stadium can easily be accessed by train, and those same train lines that run to the stadium also run to Central Markham, where there's a large variety of restaurants(mostly English and Irish style) that tourists will find affordable. The stadium itself, however, is in the heart of the industrial district, which makes it a change of pace from downtown stadiums located in rich neighborhoods.

THE SIXTH TALENT SEARCH
Every year, there's a time that gets footballers across the country, both young and old, very excited. This time isn't the start of a new season, or a time during the season, but a time afterwards, when the players finally have a chance to get something back for their hard work. This time is when lower league players will finally get looked and and reviewed by the Football Federation of Redvale's analytics department, with the help of the data wing of Bay Athletics, and named in an annual scouting report known as the Talent Search. This search excludes first division players and focuses on the lower leagues; both the upper divisions and the lower and semi professional or amateur ones.

The focus is to find hidden gems who wouldn't get widely scouted otherwise, and the results have been good so far when it comes to finding prospects that may otherwise have gone unnoticed. The first Talent Search notably discovered Hiroyo Nunez as a fifteen year old playing on loan from Glenham Athletic for the Markham Chiefs. The same search also discovered a sixteen year old Sasha Brewer, as he was still making a name in the lower divisions with semi professional Barrow Park Rangers. Which players will be the standouts from this year's class? Well, that's still to be determined. But first, we should explain how the players are ranked.

Players are ranked into different tiers. Tier One players are considered to be ready for top division football immediately and should be considered to be among the best prospects in the nation. Tier Two players are considered good prospects for first flight teams and are worth developing further, because of their high level of potential. Tier Three players are also considered future prospects, but take more development time to reach their potential. These players would do best if they were sent back on loan to the lower leagues if they're bought by top division clubs. Tier Four players are raw prospects with plenty of boom or bust potential, who usually have great physical talents but haven't necessarily proven themselves on the pitch yet. Many of these players, however, have gone on to be stars because of their unique physical abilities.

The Search consists of a list of prospects, and then scouting reports to explain the strengths and weaknesses of them, compiled by the scouting division of the Football Federation of Redvale with the help of advanced statisticians from Bay Athletics. These statisticians create a grade for every player, ranging from A+ to D. While the grades haven't always been right, they've generally been a good indicator of future potential, even if players take varying times to reach their grade. Now that the explanations are out of the way, here's the 508-509 Talent Search list.

THE REPORTS
After the list is released each year, there's also scouting reports on each player, compiled by the federation staff. Here's a selection of some of the most interesting scouting reports from this season's class, of the players that are the most recruited by upper level teams. While the exact scouting methods haven't been disclosed, the metrics used to find the players for the list in the first place have been adjusted to be weighted towards harder competition, and are also weighted towards young players to measure future potential. Thus, older players have more immediate skill but young players are seen more often on the list because they represent more potential. While the weighting is slanted towards high level competition, the weighting towards youth is stronger and this makes most of the list come from the lower portion of the football pyramid, where more young stars start their careers. Here's some excerpts from the scouting reports:

PELLE THORSTON
Age: 23
Position: ST
Grade: A
Pelle Thorston is one of the top prospects in Redvali football despite hailing from the Conference Premier. He scored twenty eight goals last season and assisted his teammates eleven times, and his numbers aren't the main reason that scouts are looking at him. Pelle stands at six foot four and moves much lighter on his feet than someone of his height typically would. He's just as fast as many strikers that play as poachers, or as the speedy wingers that he's played against. That speed, when combined with his height and wide frame, has made him very hard to bring down when he sets his sights on goal. Pelle is the kind of player that invites contact and enjoys it; out of his twenty eight goals, sixteen of them were scored while making contact with a defender. The defenses of the Conference Premier have tried to stop him by funneling him away from the inside part of the pitch, but judging by the amount of contact goals scored, they've failed miserably at that. Thorston's contract is set to expire, and it isn't believed that he'll sign a new one with San Antoine. Rumors say that he's planning to test foreign free agency instead.

JUSTIN MERRAZI
Age: 24
Position: GK
Grade: A+
The only player to get an A+ grade in this year's class is Justin Merrazi, the very successful Straton United keeper. Straton's defense isn't too much more talented than any of the other good defensive teams in Division Three, but Merrazi's magic in goal was able to help them to only concede 38 goals. That was the lowest conceded total in the league, and they nearly were able to win the title and move up because of their skill at not letting goals in. Merrazi isn't an ordinary keeper, but a good sweeper keeper who can come outside of his box and act as another defender to create a numerical mismatch in favor of his defense, when the other team is attacking 2 on 2 or 3 on 3 during a breakaway. His diving is good, too, and despite playing in Division Three, Merrazi has a history in the first flight. He played youth football from the time he was 14 until he was 18 with Markham Armor before leaving the academy to join Straton United, in the Markham suburbs.

LEIF RASCH
Age: 25
Position: CB
Grade: A
Possibly the strongest center back in the lower leagues is the Endelosi prospect Leif Rasch. He grew up in Karakosa, Endelos, and was a member of the Karakosa BK academy until he was twenty, at which point he transferred to Taviston United and instantly became a starter. Since then he's grown a few more inches to reach six foot five, his shoulders have widened a bit more, and he's added technical skills to compliment his natural strength. It's hard to get past Leif when he has his eyes set on the ball; very hard. He's the definition of a ball stopping central defender, the kind that has a high market value in Redvale right now. While he's not a ball playing defender, his ability to quickly win the ball has also started several counter attacks for his team in crucial moments.

CATHERINE VENNEROD
Age: 24
Position: False Nine
Grade: A
The only woman to get an A grade this time around is Catherine Vennerod, who will be a familiar name for Janfordian football fans. When she was seventeen, she was supposed to be the next big thing for the Janford Roses because of her good scoring and her ability to make plays for her teammates too. But she turned out to be the most hardheaded and uncoachable prospect that Janford has ever seen, and at nineteen years old she was kicked out of the academy and signed for Rovers Women, who she would never play for at the senior level. When she left Rovers, she was twenty two, and she signed for Roja Leo. That move changed the course of her career for the better. She had fifteen goals and fifteen assists last season in eighteen matches while playing as a false nine. At six foot one, she's a hard player to bring down when she has the ball in the midfield while her teammates set up, and she's smart enough to know when to drop deep and when to transition from false nine to center striker.

JAMES ESPERANZO
Age: 19
Position: Advanced Playmaker
Grade: B+
The first midfielder on the list is James Esperanzo, Old Janford's wonderkid midfielder who went from completely off the radar to on the shortlist of every scout in the country in the span of a few years. He's not as lengthy as the other top prospects, at five feet and six inches tall, but he makes up for that with his great vision, good movement, and good passing. He's the kind of player that spots a play happening before it actually does, and an expert at getting the ball where he wants it from anywhere on the pitch. But while his passing is good, he needs to work on his physicality, because he's not a very good ball handling midfielder right now.

EZEQUIEL JARA
Age: 20
Position: Defensive Midfielder
Grade: C+
Ezequiel Jara is a big defensive midfielder that can run from box to box and have a much larger impact on the match than what one would expect from a DM. With long and powerful legs, a strong upper body, and good positioning, Jara could be called a prototype at the DM position. But he doesn't just have the prototypical defensive midfielder abilities, he has good speed in the open field and very quick acceleration and change of direction speed, making him a threat to attackers all over the pitch because of his ability to cover long distances quickly. He's very good at closing down, and quick enough to begin counter attacks after winning the ball. He's a better prospect than the C+ grade suggests, and was key in the midfield for his hometown club, San Rique.

HATEM VEGA
Age: 19
Position: Fullback/Winger
Grade: D+
One player with tremendous upside is Hatem Vega, the Maris Bay wide player who hasn't quite found his position yet. The reason why he's rated so low is because he's managed to play both fullback and winger, but hasn't gotten truly good at either position. He's shown flashes of greatness because of his extreme speed, but his technical skills on both attack and defense need improvement if he wants to play in the first flight. That extreme speed, however, has made it possible for him to get past defenders from the fullback position before transitioning to winger and making a play with a cross inside to a teammate, something he's done many times for Maris Bay.

KINU TOJO
Age: 16
Position: Regista
Grade: D+
A prospect that we don't know much about is Kinu Tojo. She supposedly showed up at Taviston last season after dropping out of high school, saying that she wanted to play football, and while the staff initially laughed at the fifteen year old for wanting to play for them, she practiced with the team and earned a contract after one session because of the way that she controlled the tempo of the match by holding the ball and passing strategically. The next season, which was last season, Kinu became the youngest player to play and score for the Taviston Hawks, and racked up a total of ten goals and twenty assists. She has such a low grade because there's no scouting reports whatsoever on her before last season. Supposedly, she was abandoned by her parents when she was fourteen, and she started playing football to have a place to stay, but that hasn't been verified by any official sources. Her main weakness is her height, because she's only five foot five.

Season 1970

It's been sixty-one years since Demot has sent clubs to international competitions, yet in a surprising move, they have decided to dip their toes back into the international waters once more with the DFA choosing to participate in the Atlantian Oceania Champions' League, or AOCL for short. In the six decades since Demot last sent clubs, not much has changed in the domestic scene, as Likewell Kirk continues to be one of the best clubs in nation and Skyhaven playing second fiddle to their rivals. It seems fitting that Likewell Kirk would be the first team to once again participate in outside competitions, as they have won a Globe Cup in their time, back when the competition was still relatively new. Will they be able to rekindle some of that history as they go forth once more into the grand horizon or will the decades out of touch with the outside footballing world spell certain doom for the once powerhouse club.

Football Season is over!

Another football year is over. 2016 season was full of excitement and surprises both in higher as well as lower level leagues. Let's take a look and analyze the results.

Image
Team P W D L For Ag +/- Pts
1 Tushlark Superstars 22 12 6 4 48 19 +29 42
2 Hwoarang Shoguns 22 11 7 4 26 16 +10 40
3 Drekaria FC 22 8 12 2 29 17 +12 36
4 Incendia United 22 9 7 6 27 24 +3 34
5 FC Tushlark Elks 22 9 6 7 24 19 +5 33
6 Corona Centaurs 22 9 3 10 22 20 +2 30
7 FC Pegasus 22 9 2 11 23 32 -9 29
8 FC Power 22 7 5 10 29 36 -7 26
9 FC Buccaneer 22 6 7 9 20 30 -10 25
10 FC Hawkston 22 6 5 11 20 33 -13 23
11 Togonistan Armed Forces Football Team 22 4 10 8 25 28 -3 22
12 FC Chemistry 22 5 4 13 25 44 -19 19

It's definetly not that big of a surprise that our top level league was won by Tushlark Superstars this year. Damon McTherry definetly knows how to make our biggest talents play for his team. Still, it's not quite of a domination we expected, because at the end they ended up only 2 points ahead of Hwoarang Shoguns, who definetly did their best at the field this year. Shoguns showed great spirit and managed to catch the 2nd place.

Image
Team P W D L For Ag +/- Pts
1 Valentina City 14 9 2 3 19 11 +8 29
2 FC Red Armada 14 7 3 4 19 11 +8 24
3 Hwoarang Steelers 14 6 5 3 19 16 +3 23
4 FC Leprechaun 14 6 3 5 16 20 -4 21
5 Helterburg 14 5 3 6 15 15 +0 18
6 FC Legion 14 4 4 6 11 17 -6 16
7 FC Brigadiers 14 3 5 6 18 17 +1 14
8 FC Spartans 14 1 5 8 8 18 -10 8

Our 2nd highest league was won by a underdog this year. At the start of the season, anyone hardly believed that Valentina City could even end up in top part of the league table. However, they came and won the whole thing! At the same time, FC Spartans, the team who we thought would be a clear favorite this year, ended up dead last and had to defend their place in the league by playing a play-off match against FC Castovanni Eagles.

7 Tribu FC 14 2 9 3 12 14 -2 15
8 FC Elmo 14 0 5 9 5 20 -15 5

Togonistan League 1 was won by FC Castovanni Eagles. Definetly an achievement to be proud of, even though their play-off match ended up in a devastating 5-0 loss against FC Spartans. Still, we expect them to keep up good work and see some great results this year aswell.

8 FC Necromancers 14 3 4 7 13 19 -6 13

Well, Tushlark Diamonds got promoted to League 2 last year and they showed us that they truly deserved it. Definetly great news for their fans. Too bad they did not manage to get promoted this year.

Play-off stage
Even though 2016 season was full of furious battles, none of the teams got promoted or relegated from their current leagues. As our league system is different from what we usually see in foreign leagues, top 2 and bottom 2 teams from their perspective leagues must fight a play-off in order to get promoted. This year, however, none of the lower level teams managed to win a spot in higher league. Here are the results of the play-off matches:

Togonistan Armed Forces Football Team 2:1 FC Red Armada
FC Chemistry 2:0 Valentina City

FC Brigadiers 3:1 Drekaria Warlords
FC Spartans 5:0 FC Castovanni Eagles

Tribu FC 2:0 JK's Football Academy
FC Elmo 4:3 Tushlark Diamonds

Kalzan City 2:0 FC Turbo
FC Necromancers 1:0 FC Iron

Cosumar (COS) qualifiers
Champions’ Cup: Cassandra City, OAS Royal FC, Real Azuris (as defending CC winners)
Globe Cup: Eastweald, Samaj FC, Ramusok United
Series B Champions’ Cup: Versiaville, Keenan Athletic, IFK Aldenskoett
Cygnus Cup: Real Azuris
AOCL: Cassandra City

Cosumar (COS) final site bids
Champions' Cup 66 (& AOCL XXVI): The Amphitheatre, Cassandra (61,103)
The Venue: A fitting name for the finest grounds in this theatrical city, The Amphitheatre is home to Cassandra City, one of the biggest clubs in Cosumar. A couple years ago, The Amphitheatre was expanded from its capacity of 54,000 to over 60,000 in preparation for the 62nd Baptism of Fire and future UICA bids. It is equipped with pitch-heaters and a retractable roof to cope with potential inclement weather since Cassandra gets cold in the winter. It is also famous for its extremely bright headlights that illuminate the pitch more than most stadiums during night matches...visiting players often complain about the brightness. Don't get stage fright!

The Area: Cassandra is Cosumar's glitzville. This city revolves around showbiz and celebrity. People flock to Cassandra City for the famous plays and musicals on Staropoli Street, the film studios, and the celebrity-sighting. Oh yeah, and did we mention the ten-story Cassandra Megacasino? Gambling is outlawed everywhere in Cosumar except on its premises. There are also extravagant attractions of even less reputable nature, such as the largest luxury brothel in Cosumar, and the most strip clubs per capita in the northeastern region. An "anything goes" pilgrimage to Cassandra is a rite of passage for young adults across the region. Located in the barren northern steppe between the Pristine Forest and the mountainous northern peninsula, Cassandra has little to speak of in terms of landscape. But it grew into an important city due to its location on the bank of the Pristine River, which connected eastern Cosumar to the west in the early days of continental expansion. Still today the city serves as a gatekeeper between the two sides of the Fiefdom.

You join simply by taking part - entering your teams into the various UICA competitions after publishing your domestic football results. Here's a handy guide.

Also, this; for trigrammes. A full list of association codes are at the end of the document. This list is not the official UICA trigramme list, but will help secure your preferred options. Read the OP, especially the announcement para six.

Soccer in Coldfield
Football came along with human life in Coldfield. The first clubs were formed around 1910; there were already several clubs, mainly teams formed by students, but many of these teams were extinct. The sport was always popular, but initially football was restricted to Christian men - the barrier was only overturned in 1972.
Professionalization took place in 1960, but national championships such as the Hildred Cup existed since the 1940s. At that time the players' salaries were paid for by donations made by the club's fans and also by governmental incentive, which paid them a fair salary according to the performance of each athlete. The stadiums were built by the government in proportion to the performance and number of club supporters.
The first national league was organized in the 1968-69 season. The participants were the best 16 teams from the three regional leagues of 1968 (Centre, North, and South). The format was used until the inclusion of the second division around 1971. In the new format the three worst clubs of League One were demoted to League Two; The top three in League Two were promoted to League One; The three worst of League Two would not participate next season; And the top three regional teams that do not participate in any national league were promoted to League Two. Also in 1970 association football clubs gained their first sponsors and now 85% of the ticket profit would go to the home club funds.
That was until the inclusion of League Three in 1985. In the new championship, 32 clubs would fight for 3 places in League Two next season. The three worst teams would be downgraded to the newly formed conferences. The regional leagues ended up being abolished in 2005 after becoming obsolete, since all the clubs of the country already participated in the National Pyramid. In 1999 the round robin system was established in the first and second divisions and also in the conferences; The third division continued with the old system.

Coldfield football stands out for its loyalty, fair play among athletes, and teams' skills balance - no matter how big the economic differences are.

Coldfield (COL) Final Site Bid
Globe Cup Final: Crownsville Palace Colossus (capacity is 94,000)
Image
The Crownsville Palace Colossus (abbreviation is CPC) is the biggest stadium in the nation of Coldfield. Located in the heart of Crownsville - the biggest city and also the capital of Coldfield - it is home to the Coldfieldian National Football Team and the Coldfieldian Olympic Team. Built in 1993 as an expansion for the Crownsville Palace (where the royal family resides), it hosted finals of the Coldfieldian Cup, the Winners' Cup, the national Archery Tournament, and the Coldfieldian Male Boxing. It is accessible through the subway and the Palace Avenue, The stadium has more than 30 exits (half of them directly linked to the Royal Gardens, the facade of the Crownsville Palace), two Zony's electronic placards (west and east), 55 bathrooms, 30 Lepsi's snack stalls, 6 MacDavid's restaurants, two recreational centers, two gyms, one museum, one big parking lane, and one theater. The stadium uses a natural grass field. 85% of the stadium are seats, while the other 15% are bleachers - mostly on the north section which is unprotected from the sun as shown in the pic. It is important to state that the CPC can be fully evacuated in 6 to 8 minutes in emergencies.

SBCC Final: National Olympic Stadium (capacity: 54,228)
Image

The name says all - it's the official Olympic stadium of Coldfield, and also home to Orangefish Sports. This world class venue was built in 1966 in the surroundings of
Orangefish City's suburb and expanded in 2006. The National Olympic Stadium hosted all the finals of the domestic cup before the inauguration of the CPC. The stadium is accessible by the Orange Highway and by the Orange Railway. The stadium has 28 bathrooms, one Zony's electronic placard (south), 19 Koka-Koola's snack stalls, two MacDavid's restaurants, one gym, one museum (belongs to Orangefish Sports), one Zony Electronic Devices Store, and one medium parking lane. This stadium also uses natural grass field. Half of the stadium is occupied by seats - the remaining 50% is occupied by bleachers.

Can I ask something? In NS how do seasons and tournaments work? Is it just like in real life (Aug-May), or is it by the civil year (Jan-Dec). I've seen the international tournaments finished in December, does that mean it restarts this spring?

Anglatian football has been in shambles ever since the IAFF corruption scandal led to the Imperial Superleague being suspended and later dissolved. It was revealed that the multinational structure led to some of the poorer teams from less rich areas of the Empire getting involved in corruption and fixing, and so to solve the problem, the Superleague was broken apart after fifteen odd years of existence. Things went back to the way they were before... With Division A being the domestic competition of Anglatia and no Empire wide competition existing beyond individual tournaments organized by the clubs in the offseason.

Also, as a result of the league being dissolved, every single player in the Superleague was released from their contract. This led to the rosters being reassembled completely, and while there were some players that resigned with the clubs that they played for previously, most of the national teamers have held out and not resigned their contracts immediately. That means this season was played without the usual superstars, but it also means that new stars rose. It was an extremely interesting season for these reasons, and next season should see Division A improve as the top Imperial players on the national team test the transfer market and see if they can get better deals from the Division A clubs or from the foreign market.

Let's look over the table. At the top is AC Lane United, the revived version of Lane United that has only existed for two full seasons. In its second season, however, it mimicked the dominance of the club for which its named after, in its peak. Lane retained the majority of their old squad and dominated with an incredible attack, scoring eighty goals. They're an extremely balanced team and they showed that with their 4-2-3-1 formation and their talent that's spread out through the entire team. That attack that scored eighty goals was spearheaded by eighteen year old Nordskanian-Anglatian forward Jace Votto, who signed a one year contract with the team and scored twenty five goals in twenty seven appearances, and also by twenty five year old winger Matt Henson, who matched Votto's total with twenty five goals. National team started and fellow youth prospect Darren Harbin also signed a one year deal, and appeared in every match for United while scoring five goals and assisting four as a defensive midfielder.

In second place were Lane's hated rivals from Ross, Ross United. The Ross Circus moniker returned to their city after they put on a performance that disappointed the fans, but manager Thane Hull claimed that the fans shouldn't have expected anything else. They won the Superleague three years running before the league's dissolution but then lost every one of their internationals with the exception of Pridnestrovian international Marfa Kirilenko, who resigned for two seasons and started in goal. The highly paid Ross stars weren't going to return and miss their chance to test the open market, after all. Because of that, they relied on academy players and on the replacement level players that were already on their squad. Their top players were all around forward Clay Randle, who scored twenty eight goals, and midfielder Viktor Tomasson, who was one of the players to immediately sign a new contract. Tomasson led the league in assists with twenty one, in addition to appearing in every game. In the back, twenty three year old George Hesperos is emerging as a potential national team option, after leading the team in tackles and aerial battles won.

Rounding out the top three was Bathgate City, who lost most of the star players that they paid 70+ million for a few windows ago. The exceptions were Maura Vera and Juninha, who both stayed to lead the club into the future, and Juninha had a breakout season with 18 goals. Outside of them, Bathgate's attack wasn't as great as it has been in past years, and their poor defending also led to them blowing a number of matches and eventually losing to Ross United in the standings with a six point gap. Still, it's a miracle they were top three at all after not being able to re sign the players they paid so much for. Owner Finn Muerig was allegedly furious at this, but he just couldn't convince the players to come back to a team like his after the dumpster fire that they were in the last season of the Superleague.

In the mid table we see Eastport City and Midhearst Rangers, the two clubs that largely represent Middle Anglatia along with Milton United. The Rangers are a punchy attacking team that can't defend, but that's besides the point. They were exciting to watch, and everyone was happy to see the green and silver team playing in the top tier once again after they couldn't make it into the Superleague. Eastport City doesn't quite have their attack, but has one of the best academies of anywhere in Anglatia... And that was enough to lift them to fourth place. With other teams losing their overpaid stars, Eastport was the team that didn't lose much at all. They brought up even more talent through their academy and were even able to beat Lane United home and away for the first sweep of the Reds in over twenty years.

Further down, the smaller team in Ross saw an interesting rise back to Division A, where they overperformed their expectations by finishing outside of the relegation zone. Unlike their neighbors from the Grove Side, Ross Park has been operating on a shoestring budget and was expected to fight just to stay up. Instead, they got 35 points to finish comfortably in sixth. If you go further below them, you'll find another Western Anglatian club, one that's well liked by everyone for their plucky resilience. Hailing from the mid sized town of Holland, about a half an hour's drive away from Ross, they're a good developmental club that, like Eastport, used that to get an edge over the big teams. They were also expected to fight to avoid relegation, but the good management of them and their academy talent was enough to rescue them from that fate and carry them up the table, giving them a good base to build on after the transfer window.

Bathgate Town was one of the teams that was expected to be in the relegation race, and the minnows from the suburbs of the massive East Anglatian city couldn't be any more different than their neighbors. One hundred thousand people fit into Bathgate City's home arena, the Steelworks. On the other hand, Bathgate Town plays at Iron Lane, a stadium that seats 15,000 and has no seating behind either goal(but there is a terrace behind the south end). Still, they have a strong budget for a team of their size and they were expected to challenge for a UICA spot if things fell their way in other matches. That was how the season started, too. But they got worse as the season went along, and by the time the season ended, Holland and Ross Park were both above them. They also lost 7-0 to their crosstown opponents when they had to visit the Steelworks, which summed up the whole season for them.

Ludlow City and Milton United were in the basement for most of the season and both of them were underperforming squads that will likely be making changes in management soon. Both teams were operating on small budgets, and both frequently suffered bad losses at the hands of bigger clubs. Ludlow, however, showed some fight to pick up results over teams like Bathgate City and Eastport City, while Milton only managed 23 points and lost their second matchup of the season with Ludlow to secure their relegation. They weren't even expected to make it into the new Division A, and they proved exactly why with the performances that they put on this season.

This season was a transition one for sure. The table likely won't look anything like it does now when next season rolls in and the transfer window sees domestic players change teams and foreign players arrive... But for now, Lane United are back. You hear that right. Once again, the Reds rule Anglatia.
