The Free South Califas Soccer League is unlike the Free San Diego Baseball League (now extended to all of South Califas) in that its entrants are cities, towns or larger groupings, while the FSDBL was organized on a neighborhood level except in the Counties Division. The reason for this is simple: there is less interest in soccer and its participants and fans are less concentrated in Los Angeles City and San Diego City.

Showing off their incredibly minor league's results for the fourth time, its the twin-city of Ares-y-Penthesilea's very own Emirate League. Filopines Football Leagues Season Two

Last season, the Ebbtoll Sharks became the inaugural champions of the Filopines Premier League.
It's the start of a new season which means anybody can win this season.
Last season, Naracondingshire Castles and Boslington Eagles were relegated to the Filopines Second Division, now called National Championship League. Agolaño F.C. and Palace were promoted.

The city that has six times been on the receiving end of the Champions’ Cup crown will now witness the giving as Yuba hosts the fortieth Champions’ Cup final at Alesanka Park.

History
After Yuba United won its third and fourth Champions’ Cup titles in 2178 and 2182 (seasons 18 and 20), cementing its position as one of the wealthiest football clubs in the world, the club’s directors decided that a replacement was in order for Stephen Rogers Memorial Stadium, which had then served the club in one form or another for over 175 years. After a four-year process of finding and buying the right real estate in downtown Yuba, construction began on the new stadium, then known tentatively as “Yuba United Stadium”, in 2187. The glass façade and 149 000 seats would be installed in time for the 2190–91 Élite League season, and the club’s stakeholders elected to name the ground after former club and Capitalizt SLANI manager Alfreda Alesanka, who led the Capitalizts to victory in World Cup 39 and the Silver-Blues to their triumph over Olympique Protectorat in the first staging of the Champions’ Cup, completing the club’s Quadruple that season.

In addition to Yuba United home games, Alesanka Park was a venue for World Cup 51, regularly holds the Academy Football League’s post-season Charity Trophy, and, more relevant to UICA followers, was previously chosen to host the finals of Series B Champions’ Cup 25 and Globe Cup 31. As Yuba United has lifted the Champions’ Cup trophy twice since their move, setting up home Super Cup matches against the Globe Cup winners, Alesanka Park will be the first stadium in the world to have hosted the final match of all four UICA competitions.

Setting
As one encyclopedia famously explained, “Yuba is a city in Spalding province, Bedistan. It is the home of Yuba United football club.”

Oh, you want more?

Situated just southwest of Griffin in the traditional Highland region of Bedistan’s mountainous north, Yuba really isn’t known for anything other than football. Its economy is now almost entirely built around serving the club and visiting spectators, and serving the people who serve those people, and serving the people who serve those people, and so on. This sporting focus gives the city a transport and lodging infrastructure suitable for a major event like the Champions’ Cup final, despite a population of just under two hundred thousand. Most visitors will enter Paripana through the Hampton airport, where bullet trains make regular northeasterly runs to Yuba as match day approaches; hotels in Yuba proper and in Griffin combine to provide a capacity which comfortably exceeds that of Alesanka Park itself. Non-football attractions in the city include Paripana’s most extensive 1:200 scale model railroad (which includes a replica of Alesanka Park, but not a 1:40 000 scale replica of itself), as well as museums of science fiction and quilting on the campus of Yuba University.

Stadium
The stadium’s seating is configured in a three-tiered rounded rectangle, each separated by a continuous ribbon of luxury suites fit to entertain the club’s partners as well as affluent supporters, some of whom fly in from Aeropag every matchday to cheer their team on. Center stage is filled by a 105 m × 68 m pitch, measured out with UICA regulations in mind and seeded with natural grass, contrary to usual practice in Paripana. Though the interior structure is perfectly symmetrical, the club’s most vocal fan groups inhabit the northern Morlock End, named for the legendary Bedistan international who also featured in Yuba United’s only Champions League campaign, aborted due to organizational failure just as the Silver-Blues looked certain to advance from their group. The upper decks are ordinarily adorned with silver lettering on blue enumerating the club’s many major honors; the Morlock End is fitted with the simple statements “Welcome to Alesanka Park” and “World Champions 2144 2164 2178 2182 2204 2220”, the latter well-placed to intimidate an opponent as he steps up for a second-half penalty kick. For the final, of course, the Yuba Final branding will replace these messages.

The exterior is a simple blue glass box, with gray concrete capping the four corners and often providing a fixture for event signage. The one distinctive feature is the main entrance at the Morlock End, which features a giant Yuba United logo spanning the entire height of the stadium protruding from the wall. This side of the stadium had to be remodeled when the club added the UICA Star to its logo after its fifth Champions’ Cup success, and the original World Champion Clubs’ Cup is now situated in the center of that star above the iconic “YU”, part of the club’s museum. A UICA Star is, of course, a perfect edifice to display the Champions’ Cup logo on the day of the final.

After a really intense season FK KAIOS has won the SuperLiga,while Kosmajac,the former champion has finished last.
IRA,Radnički(M) and Danubia are relegated to the lower level while Rudar,Udarnik and Fenian won the right to play in the SuperLiga.
The Cup is not over yet.The finals will be played next week on Marakana the biggest stadium in Savski Venac.The two teams that will collide in the finals are FK Kosmajac and FK Crvena Zvezda,one of the greatest rivalries in Savski Venac,But who will prevail???

Manvero was expected to a lot better than this this year... They will be lucky to get a Globe Cup berth, let alone contend for the title. Iona Junction's return to relevance has thrown things out of whack, as Ju-Iro has worked his magic. The top two teams, though, are still the teams that have the best defense - La Pinatra and Pyria, whose investment in the defensive backfield has paid huge dividends thus far. The third best team in the field of goals allowed are the Pikana Pirates, and they are twelve goals behind the Crusaders and the Thunder... At the tail end, Wurlington's early flashes of brilliance have faded away a bit, while Canesbrough has made it a game above the relegation spot. Locido continues to score goals but give up a lot more. Things are still close and there are enough games for teams to get their act together, but teams like Rallion and Lyron, who were both expected to be contenders and not pretenders, will have some questions to answer. A reminder that the bottom four teams will end up in the Falconfar Champions' League...

Qichechumadia Zhabi - So, football fans. We're one third in. Did your team capitalize? We all know how important a good early start is. If you want to be in the mix late in the year, you don't want to have a bunch of ticks in the loss column just because you took too long to warm up. So how did your team do? Remember that this time of the season takes place between January and April, which means it's the hottest time of the year in Pazhujebu but the depths of winter in Kagdazka. As a result, teams can take advantage of whatever climate they're in and make their home stadium a fortress more than they can the rest of the time. It can also make things very challenging for Angels, who have a unique situation as a result of their dual-nationality, dual-city, dual-home stadium operation. Flying back and forth between frigid Dyurtyuli and broiling Mahathu so that they can entertain fan bases in both countries is a task and a half. Did it hurt their title push early on?

Analysis At This Point

Unbeaten Volcano Setting Pace With Teenage Keeper On Fire. We all sort of felt that Vulkan were outsiders in title discussions before the season began, but they're certainly entitled to have a go after the start they've had. Ten matches in and still unbeaten, it will take a run of bad form for Vulkan to be knocked from the top. If no such run occurs, the Volcano could already have clinched the title. Which player gets credit? No question; having allowed just four goals in the opening ten matches, Qasim Ukhtomsky appears to be the next Ignatiy Voropaev. After all, it's not as though Vulkan haven't been allowing chances: with a three-man defense, opponents have certainly registered shots against the Burgundy's goal mouth without too much harassment. But the young lad, on loan from Yastrabi, has looked a lot older than sixteen thus far. His six clean sheets have not been earned cheaply. Maksim Astafyev has been watching.

Out of Nowhere, Malgor-Led Iguani Punching Way Above Weight. No, it wasn't that acid you dropped with your college roommates last week. You really did just see Iguani in second place after one third gone. The tiny hippie town of Yayal is buzzing; their beloved First Division side appears to be making a run for the international spots. Yes, Yayal is in the middle of nowhere. Yes, the team is destitute by First Division standards. And yes, they lost their best player, Bogdan Kuzmenko, in the offseason. But why shouldn't they be in the Globe Cup (at least) after the ten games they've had? Wins over Yastrabi, Urajbina, and Zhevassi have thrown them three points clear of their nearest challengers. Ipeland's own David Silverman, hired hastily prior to last year, appears to known what he's doing. Jump on the Iguani bandwagon, neutrals! Let's see if they can do it! If Egoitz Malgor continues his late-career heroics, his team might have a title shout!

Juvapanam have a superb history, but they're so financially unstable that nobody really knows if or when they'll get thrown into administration. So why not the Red Elephants? Even after losing club taliswoman Chalia Sajid, Emuzhezh's red half has been overjoyed as Hathi have finished in the top half five years in a row (three straight in the top five) and won a trophy (the Vahavi in 5254), which is one trophy more than Angels, Urajbina, Juvapanam, and Zhevassi combined have won in that time period. And this might be the year Clayton's men in red win the league; they lead the league in goals scored.

Cafederassãu di Fuzibol Capivara Seu Creysson and Northern Sunrise Islands Football Confederation have the huge pride of being able to announce the first ever Capivara-Sunrise SuperCup. The SuperCup is a tournament that involves the top twelve teams of each nation, together with the top four teams of the national cup from each team. The only exceptions of these teams that are still involved are Preston Athletic from Northern Sunrise, replacing the Cup spot of the Davencreek Victinis, Vila Xurupita and Pai Toletão de Oxalá from Capivara Group, replacing the Cup spot of Crash Bandicoot and Madruguinha Boneco Clube. The Tournament will have a first round, with eight groups composed of two Northern Sunrisian teams and two Capivarian teams that will face each other twice. Top Two will qualify to the Second Round, in which teams battle off in two matches, one home and one away match. The Final will be disputed in only one match. This season, it'll be disputed at Allejo Stadium, Mardi City at Northern Sunrise. Next season, it's going to be at Istadiu Capivara Seu Creysson at Capivara Group.

But as you can clearly see, specially at the 7-3 landslide made by the powerful 31 Cudmundópolis against the Mallwill Hitmonlees, they failed quite a lot. Highlight goes to Mallwill being able to actually beat Inter Limão 3-1 at Matchday 1.

Crassweil did their best and eliminated Tivoli by bizarre scores. 7-0 for Crassweil at first match and 5-0 for Tivoli at the second. Madruguinha Buneco Clube, who obtained a decent amount of fame at Northern Sunrise was eliminated by 31 Cudmundópolis. Brentwood Charizards stopped Inter Limão. Filhos do Íbis stopped the miraculously-qualified Bunda Juniors. Lynder Frosslasses wasn't able to beat Vila Xurupita and stopped their first CSSC participation in the Round of 16. At last, the Sens beaten Carandiru FC for a good result, proving themselves. Ironically, the next round will have four teams from each country, differing from the original advantage that Capivarian teams had.

The only match with no ties was the bizarre encounter between Selyne City Athenians and Crassweil Houndooms, both qualified from Group A. Eventually, Selyne City continued at the CSSC, after all, they were the leaders of Group A. Brentwood continues to upset big teams, eliminating 31 Cudmundópolis. Filhos do Íbis qualified with only one goal and Matthew City Senators left the SuperCup after losing 3-2 to Pisando na Bola FC, leaving the cup with ironically two teams from each country, continuing the process from the Quarter Finals.

At the Semi-Finals. Or simply Nation Finals, call it the way you want, Filhos do Íbis qualified easily against Pisando na Bola FC. But the most heartstopping duel would happen to be the Northern Sunrisian one. Two Big Team Upsetters faced each other as the Athenians took on the Charizards. After two 3-0 results, they had to solve it at a Penalty Shootout.

The most likely outcome is indeed the outcome of the 2012 CSSC. The Selyne City Athenians are the first ever champions as the Allejo Stadium witnessed a match-up for the ages. The Athenians had one of the toughest ways to get at the final and impressed many with such compassion. Even far from their home, Selyne City at Amy Island, the Athenians had top support from their main fan group, "Athena's Cavaliers" and also some other fans from other cities. The Match had first, however the Northern Sunrise National Orchestra playing Reunion in Canton, which was chosen due to the perseverance of the thirty-two teams that came to play the tournament and did not give up until the last minute. Filhos do Íbis, the Capivarian team scored first only to witness Daniel Rousseau from the Athenians tie the match at 85', almost in the end of the duel. Eventually, both teams scored again and things went to penalty shootout. Goalie Herbert Silva have shown great abilities and at last, Selyne City Athenians are declared, the FIRST CHAMPIONS! The Athenians declared that next season, they will play with a small circle at their arm with this tournament logo, in order to represent their victory.

The Iturributan Premier Division: Inaugural Season Review
Preview

Premier Division
Iturributa United secured the lead on MD8, three points off Sporting and the two Racing Clubs, and didn't let go of it. Not that Sporting let them off easy either, as it went down to the wire for both sides, completely inseparable after 36 gruelling matches. With both level on points, head-to-head results, goal difference and wins, the final tie-breaker established by the Futbol Iturributako Federazioa was a championship play-off at a neutral ground. Which in this case meant one more derby, the fifth of the season, at the clubs' mutual home Old City Stadium.

The other four had no winner. The first, with Sporting as the nominal home team, ended in an unbelievable 5-5. 4-1 up, a brawl saw Sporting's Burruchaga, Ankia and Malik controversially sent off, with only Tartalo Maruri red carded for United. Braces for Elmsvikur and Richard, tacked on to Gianluigi's early goal, turned the match around, but Alejandro Martinuccio appeared to seal the result in extremis.

Their next meeting was Sporting's chance to take the lead, having shortened the gap with a difficult win over Iturributa Racing Club and United having dropped points in Guenara. A slow match with few chances and many fouls meant a scoreless first half, and only well into the second did Richard appear to head Carter's free-kick into the net. Baptism of Fire 46 champion Mantzio Janssens soon equalised though, and as if to fulfill a red card quota Petter Bielsen was given a second booking in the following play. Manager Achaga made several changes, including taking off Richard for Matty Paige, the 19 year-old Gordonopian full-back providing the assist to Lasuen's goal after Iker Malik had put Sporting in front.

Matchday 24 was their next meeting, six points between them after Sporting's shock losses to Freedom FC and Focus FC, along with a scrappy draw against Iturributa Racing Club the weekend before the derby. United, meanwhile, recorded their first defeat of the season, also against Iturributa Racing, but otherwise got the three points everywhere they went. The expectation was once again high, but the match itself was a dull affair played out in the early spring rain. In the most noteworthy incident of the scoreless draw, Rochemback earned the traiditional sending off for carelessly hacking Lorenzo Gianluigi, who was out for the next two months with an ankle injury.

In the lead up to the fourth derby of the season, both teams now desperate for a win, United built up an eight-point lead and then threw it away with a series of embarassing away losses, Gianluigi's absence hitting them hard on the right wing; the advantage was down to two and the lead was within Sporting's grasp. The match started off thrillingly, a poor clearance from Aira handing the opener to Elmsvikur that was quickly leveled out by a brilliant Razov run. It was then Sporting's turn to get in front, with Janssens scoring on the first post, having edged out Dicharry as starting winger the last couple of months. A Gartzi Oramuno chip was Martinuccio's assist for Chevronekinaka's third, on the brink of half-time. In the second half, Sandaili Iturraspe shortened the distance for United, but it was of course Lorenzo Gianluigi, returning from injury as a substitute, who sentenced the draw. There were, surprisingly, no red cards shown, and allegedly there were fans demanding a refund.

This kept United's advantage at two, and it looked to be smooth sailing for them with only three games left; they didn't count on Guenara Defender staying true to their name and parking the bus on the final matchday, a 1-1 draw and Sporting's consistency putting the two rivals on perfectly level terms.

So the first Iturributa Premier Division came down, effectively, to a final match between the greatest rivals Astograthian football ever saw, who couldn't get one over each other in four previous encounters. The unstoppable force of Iturributa United against the immovable object of Sporting Iturributa; fluid attack against sturdy defense, like water on rock. It sold out in a matter of minutes, and in the end no one could claim to have seen a poor game of football.

The Chevrons started out on stronger footing, Malik and Martinuccio coming close to the opener but instead hitting the post time and time again. On thirty minutes, when Sporting were at their peak, it was captain Petter Bielsen who appeared to head the Lasuen free-kick and stun the whole of Old City Stadium with a United goal. Zkarlat Bandaka maintained some degree of dominance till half-time, but at the start of the second 45 Sporting refused to give up and again took control of the match, Rochemback and Oramuno dictating the pace while Janssens and Razov made short work of Paige and Merbilha; it definitely wasn't the forwards' night, though, as they fluffed nearly every pass and shot. Desperation began to set in, and when Lasuen finally gained space he slipped a pass for Elwyn Richard and United's title-clincher.

Elsewhere in the Premier Division, Iturributa Racing Club did very well to rack up 73 points, 6 off the champions, scoring the second most goals in the process. Litzar Biteri, the veteran striker brought in on a free from United, was the focal point of their attack and racked up an incredible 34 goals to make him the competition's top scorer by a mile. Freedom FC edged Independent Garitzeta and Garitzeta Racing Club to the last Globe Cup spot; for both IRC and FFC it'll be their first time in UICA competition other than the SBCC.

There was a 17 point gap between sixth and seventh, Guenara Defender conceding only 37 but scoring a paltry 29 and Focus FC proud to comfortably avoid relegation. Guenara City, though low on points, didn't come close to the drop, as the poor Langaraitz Rovers recorded only two wins 36 matches, though they'll surely remember one of them was at Old City Stadium for some time yet.

A marathonic 44-match season saw Andozketa Wanderers become the first team promoted to the Premier Division, while Sorokin's Old Boys and Uzio Blackstar reaffirm their chance of being in contention next year. Axpuru Castle, this season's big promotion candidate, had to content themselves with SBCC qualification. Despite the closeness in points, the football in the lower half of the table left much to be desired, and the FIF doesn't rule out adding some more incentive - even the threat of relegation - for the smaller clubs.

The first matchday of v.league history went without much in the way of surprises. In all but one of the matches the predicted winner went on to win the match, the sole exception being CD Vonghurst who dropped a match to the visiting side in front of a rather stunned gathering at Parque Malpereza. The lone goal in that match being scored by Portsham City striker Gilligan Wright early in the first half. All and all, the start to the league could not have gone much smoother. More fans than anticipated were out to judge the new league for themselves and if the reactions we've [The Vonghurst Star] seen are any indication, a good few will be returning in the future.

Once again, the spotlight here shines on CD Vonghurst, more for their failure to perform than anything else. This time they were shut-out by Negroe Pride on the road. Granted, The Pride are one of the better clubs in the league but, to start a season with two consecutive losses is not necessarily a recipe for a good campaign. Also in the news was the first match played at what is functionally the league's largest stadium in Schoellkopf Field, which saw a crowd of 9000 packed in to the crescent to witness Ithaca edge out Beaverbury AFC in a narrow and nail biting victory.

Once again, the results were rather predictable. The only real surprises were the Capitols putting the Pride in their place with a 4-1 home victory as well as CD Vonghurst's continued inability to win. This time, it hurt all the more as in the final ten minutes they turned a one goal lead to a two goal deficit with a combination of sloppy defence and letting up a penalty in the added time at the end of the 90 minutes. A third consecutive loss sees them at the bottom of the table, thankfully for them there is no formal relegation, so as long as they don't go broke, they can suck as much as they need to.

Two very important things happened this matchday. The Big Red extended their win-streak to 4 with a home victory over Atalanta BC and CD Vonghurst FINALLY managed to win a match. Granted, it was against what is thought to be the worst team in the league with Beaverbury AFC but, perhaps this victory will signal a turnaround. Luckily, at this point, it's still early so they can perhaps salvage their season and make it into contention for the Globe Cup. Just maybe!

For once, the biggest story was not CD Vonghurst (who, by the way, managed to lose to Tompkins United as well as lost Pédro for the next 4 weeks due to an injury to his foot) but rather The Pride who won their fourth match of the season but more importantly "signed" (they are a amateur club, so it's difficult to... sign players) two players who look to make a rather large impact when they take the field for the next matchday, Marcus Russell and Colé (full name Colé Jimenes). Both were playing for Darksea, a club in the local rec-league and had made quite a mark in local play by playing at a level that rivaled some of the better players in v.league. If these signings turn out to be all that they are touted to be then FC Negroe Pride could be in an excellent position to win the league. To do that, they'll have to fight the Big Red who are currently 5-0 and are not showing any signs of letting up soon.

Overall, the first five matchdays have been quite a bit of a surprise. With the Big Red in the lead and the Negroe Pride only one game back as well as a stable of teams bucking for middle table positions that will land them a Globe Cup spot, the rest of the season looks to be rather exciting. It's not all roses though, while there are some success stories like the Big Red (who, aside from being undefeated, lead the league in attendance), there are some stories of failure. Though they presently sit at sixth on the table, Tompkins United is running in to financial and logistical difficulties since they are constantly on the road. Next season, they are at risk of either dissolving or having to settle down in one place (which would mean losing a good bit of their roster). Beaverbury and Epsilon are also on the ropes. Very few are going out to see them play and their rather poor performance (both teams have but 4 points) and they are in danger of slipping out of existence or at least down to the rec league level. Fear not though, while talks are still early, there is a possibility that the league may see two more clubs get elevated to the top level, possibly expanding it to 12 clubs but with three on the fritz, next season could see 9 clubs. Also in the comming weeks will be a plan of expansion for the league that will lay out it's growth from a small 10 club league to, hopefully, a two tiered league with promotion and relegation. We'll have to see though. With the majority of clubs and prospective clubs located within either Tropaia or Vonghurst, there is the danger of isolating the rest of the nation which would not be all too good for the sport's growth in the country. As the league develops though, be sure that we'll keep you noted.

5256 KPFA League First Division Two Thirds Complete

Qichechumadia Zhabi - Now we're into the important part of the year. The middle third of the KPFA League season is when we separate the pretenders from the contenders. Your side may have had a brilliant first few months, but they're three or four injuries to starters away from collapsing and falling too far adrift to recover. So which clubs called their own numbers? Did Angels sort out their early-season slump? Did FKM stamp their authority and recover from their lackluster debut? What about wee Iguani? They were two points off the leaders after ten games, but surely they can't maintain this, can they? And who will be relegated? It wasn't looking good for Pkethat Hevnaje, BFZ, and Kileh Gulabhav early on, but there's time to recover... maybe. Whatever goes down, it'll have to be accomplished through the slogs of over-watered Pazhujebi pitches (April through July is the monsoon season on the Islands) and on the slushy snow-melt-covered ones of Kagdazka (summer brings temperatures over the freezing point rather than the typical under).

Analysis At This Point

Three-Time Champions Pursuing History, Top Table After Twenty Matches. Their opening ten matches were below par, without a doubt... fifth place was much too far down for a team that might win its fourth consecutive First Division title this season. But, unbeaten since Matchday Five (when they lost at home to Therakham), the Orange and Silver have taken control once again. Nemešiabhi Ja's resilient and frankly unbeatable side are surely the league's best side (in fact, one of the world's best, if you look at the UICA rankings). Olec Dasra's form especially has been brilliant; he's scored nine of the club's sixteen goals between matchdays eleven and twenty. Swartaz's premier attacking talent was shafted last year for the Golden Boot... he seems keen to erase that indignity this season. And if you're more impressed with the People's Club's defense than attack, you're probably waxing poetic about the form of Odšahe Yakoko. Not many people enjoy the company of 'The Yak' (he's... well... a bit of a jackass), but when he's playing well he's Urrustoy-esque.

Eggplant and Silver-Green Minnows Show No Signs of Decline, Giving FKM Hell. This band of misfits is for real, folks. In a year that has for the most part seen big-spending juggernauts stumble (see: Angels, Gimnasia, and Zhevassi), it is fitting that the league's least wealthy club, playing in front of the league's smallest stadium, is thoroughly embroiled in the title race. Even if Iguani fail to catch up to FKM, they still have much to be proud of, and still have every chance to creep into the international competitions for the first time in the club's history. David Silverman's side (which actually topped the table between matchdays fifteen and sixteen) can boast the First Division's second-most prolific attack, trailing only Raktaghav Hathi in goals scored. Guess who's the team's leading scorer? Only the guy who was once the business end of Sacha Chrétien's FKM midfield: Egoitz Malgor. Now in his mid-thirties and on the verge of retirement, the Astograthian journeyman is enjoying a career dénouement he surely couldn't have imagined in his wildest dreams.

Ukhtomsky's Iron Curtain Still Stands, But Burgundy Still Tripping Over Selves. What the hell? This team has been so good for so long, contributing such incandescent talent as Eitan Andropov, Tykaraije Makureru, and Boris Turov to the national team. But they still can't seem to wrap their head around the league title. Season after season, they show enormous promise only to collapse during the middle and final thirds of the year. Their profligacy is now so infamous that many are suggesting removing the 'Big 5' title from Vulkan's empty trophy cabinet (presumably it would then be awarded to Gimnasia, who have managed their rise from zeroes to heroes so well that they are rolling in dough). Yet third place is third place still, and for all we know, Vulkan could still get it together in the coming ten matches. Athaši Hu's form has improved over the last ten matches, helping to lessen the pressure on wunderkind Qasim Ukhtomsky. If that defense continues to be the league's best, we might yet see burgundy ribbons on the First Division trophy.

Nickname: All-whites

Overview: An institution of Daineri football, one of its very oldest professional clubs. It was the dominant force before Xistrumbigonça came along.

ISPER

Colors: White, navy and yellow
Nickname: The Old School
Stadium: Sapiens Arena (45.000), Urdu, and Social Arena (80.000), Undina
Overview: Born from the fusion of two amateur school teams, it became full professional and never stopped ascending. Their greatest strength lies on the youth teams, a veritable factory of great players.

MINIGOLEADA

Nickname: Green Stars
Stadium: Gigempat Arena (cap. 120.000), Derdia
Overview: The pride of the Skëdar, eternal nemeses of Xistrumbigonça. Unlike their main rivals, they rely a lot on home-grown talent, which helps strengthen its position as a popular club in the region.

VOLEY

Nickname: Olympians
Stadium: Metropolitan Sports Complex (cap. 66.000), Urdu
Overview: They were a tennis and volleyball club that took up soccer as a way to show up the neighboring clubs. Eventually, the soccer division split off and went professional.

Overview: They ascended from nothing to total domination at local and national level some years back. Their feat of six consecutive triple crowns isn't likely to be matched, but they haven't earned a single title ever since.

Overview: The club was born from the fusion of Crystal and Sibelius, the two most sucessful amateur teams in Dainer's early football years. Only the very oldest fans recall their glory days today, though.

Minigoleada held an early advantage, but in the end, the season belongs to University, who finished 15 points ahead and won the championship with two matchdays to spare. Minigoleada and Tommy-Atkins crop up reasonable campaigns with Globe Cup spots. Zill, the team that denied University the treble, ended up struggling. Xistrumbigonça disappointed, finishing perilously close to the relegation zone, and Crystal will be coming back to the Daineri League along with Cachimbo Amplo.

Kosmajac wins the cup!!!
The last part of the FASV season,the cup final.Two big rivals Kosmajac and Crvena Zvezda(Red Star) faced eachother in this years Savski Venac Federation Cup.
The fans of the two teams had an incident with eachother before the match,6 men were injured but diagnosed with minor injuries.
During the matche there were no incidents.The atmosphere on Marakana(Red Star stadium) was great from the start.
Both the Blue Union(Плава Уния) and Heroes North (Делије Север) created a great atmosphere.

But more important is the game.

From the start the match was intense.Both teams wanted the cup and the visa for the Champions cup.
The first(good) chanse was for the Red Star when Koroman shot from 15m and the ball went straight to the upper corner.
Unfortunately for the Red Star,Anđelković caught the ball in mid air.
The first(good) chanse for Kosmajac was at the end of the first half when Medved shot from 10m
low into the left corner but Bajkovic saved it.
Half time,the score line is 0-0.
During the second half there wasnt much to see.
But in the 71st minute Medved scored with an amazing shot from 13m.
Right into the bottom corner.

Medved celebrates.
Finally the ref marks the 90th minute and Kosmajac that was 10th this season won the Cup and goes to the qualifications for the champions cup.

Part I: CD Vonghurst fails, fails, and fails some more!

To call CD Vonghurst's losses surprising at this point is simply inaccurate. What we've found out is that while they were hyped up to be one of the better teams in the league, what with the strong support of their community, solid finances and a team that was perceived to be talented, the truth was simply not so. CD Vonghurst, in reality are, as things are a bottom dwelling team who should be thankful there is no relegation. In other news, Atalanta, who at this point was third begun their slip downwards with a loss to Espilon in a match that they should have won.

The seventh round of matches saw the Big Red finally snap a six game winning streak with a 0-1 loss against the Vonghurst Capitols. The only goal in that match coming off a breakaway by midfielder Kent Barkley in the 42nd minute. Fans were somewhat stunned by the loss but many said that the time had come for the Big Red to give up a game as before they had simply defied all expectations placed upon them. Even so, the club was (and still is) a top the table.

Two things were notable here. The two draws (between CD Vonghurst and Atalanta BC as well as Portsham and Ithaca) and the 4-0 win by the Pride, which stands, to date, as the largest margin of victory and the most points scored by a single team, or in a match at all. The most newsworthy performance was Rudolfo Brown. The young striker netted 2 goals against Tompkins United and constantly made threats of scoring a third. While the hat trick did not ultimately come to fruition Brown also made an assist to teammate Greg Odin and on the whole, served as the focal point of the team's attack.

In the first leg of what is the only cross-town derby in the league, CD Vonghurst saw a rare win at home against the Capitols, who have been doing quite well recently. This has sparked conversation on whether or not CD Vonghurst might be able to put themselves together for a late season effort, not to win the title, but, to at least get out of last place where they currently reside. About 100km West-Northwest of this match, the Pride and the Big Red, the top two clubs in the league this season faced off. The result was somewhat unexpected as instead of the predicted draw, Ithaca managed to beat the Southham based club two-to-nil further solidifying their place as the dominant club. Even so, as we enter the second half of the season, the spread is only four points and one can expect it to be a nail-biter finish, especially with the two clubs playing each other (this time in Ithaca) for the last match of the season.

The first matches of the second half of the season, all rematches of the matches on opening day saw three matches turn out differently. The Vonghurst-Atalanta/Tompkins-Beaverbury fixtures saw the home team take home victory instead of the team who had previously won the match. This has played into what looks to be a very strong home-field advantage in the league. This makes quite a bit of sense as most teams are around even in terms of talent and hence the real deciding factor is who is playing on familiar ground (though this doesn't prove true as well for Tompkins United). This will make the second half interesting to see as the middle of the table could begin to see a bit of a shift as clubs who had more away games the first half could do better the second half because of a friendlier schedule. The other difference from the opening matches was that Portsham City was unable to sweep CD Vonghurst for the season and instead settled for a 1-all draw in front of 150 fans in Portsham.

Now with 10 games in the books, the picture of v.league is beginning to look quite a bit clearer. The relatively high levels of attendance that were seen in the opening weeks of the season have tapered off a little bit. Exceptions to this include Big Red home games which have seen increasing attendance numbers as well as matches for the Capitols, the Pride and oddly enough Tompkins United. Whether this is because of worsening weather in much of the country or simply disinterest is tough to tell and both are likely contributing factors. Despite some decline in attendance numbers, the quality of play has improved across the board and the VFA have announced that a second season of v.league (which is planned to have 12 teams unless any current ones drop out) is "for sure going to happen". Much talk around the second season has now shifted from whether it will happen to which clubs will join the ranks of the league. The VFA have said that they have applications from 10 clubs and have already made a shortlist of 6 who represent the best candidates. On that shortlist are two clubs based in the the south (which currently has 7 of the 10 clubs), three in the north (including Mortingham which would overlap with the area of Tompkins United, provided they stay in the league) as well as the Freeville Clippers who want to bring the league over to Brantaland. Of these six it's tough to say who will make it but, it's likely that the northern clubs will be favoured more strongly as to evenly spread the league out on the island. It is also likely that Freeville won't make it simply because the travel costs would present an unfair burden to both the Clippers as well as the other teams in the league, some of which are barely scraping by as it is. If you want to voice your support for a particular club's inclusion, the online version of this article has a poll where you can vote for the club you want to see in v.league next year. "After their unlikely 9-5 thrashing of Atletico the previous matchday [OOC: yes, really], Conquistadores cast their eyes across the city, only to see AS Débardeurs Nationale record their own 3-0 win over RCD San Marco, meaning that going into the final matchday, Conquistadores trailed the league leaders by 74 points to 75. Was this it? were we finally going to see someone beat the stranglehold of the big four and win the title? Well, no. Débardeurs choked, and fell to an early goal against CD Parquisteres, and never looked like getting back into the match. To overtake the league leaders, Conquistadores still needed to win however, and after Giuseppe Bonelli's opener, and even after Nuno Valturri's equaliser, things still looked bleak for the most successful team in league history.

It took a captain's performance to lift his team, and rising highest a corner, Ricardo Velasquez nodded down into the path of Sanguinacco, who finished with an instinctive flick of the ankle and sent the away supporters into ecstasy. And who was there to turn on the edge of the box and sloth home into the top left corner four minutes later? Ricardo Velasquez again. Conquistadores lift their third title in four seasons, and their 66th overall. AS Débardeurs National fought gallantly but fell at the last hurdle when things were within their grasp. Caballeros, who also won the cup, and Qolo-Qolo take the last two Globe Cup spots.
