- Benat Uranga from Iturributa United to Raktaghav Hathi (Kagdazka and Pazhujebu)

A massive amount of players moved in, out and around the Astograthian league this off-season. To wit: eight men arrived from the defuncy Série A of Cotdelapoms, Formerio Iturralde and Lukar Mendikoa left to become the first Astograthians in the competitive Krytenian O-League, and Echegoyan FC revamped itself with a number of renowned players on the back of their remarkable Globe Cup run. Furthermore, it was Royal Rumiatzi who shocked everyone by signing none other than Timo Skye, far and away the Polarian national team's top scorer.

First Division

ImageImage
Royal Rumiatzi
Hometown: Rumiatzi
Ground: Knights' Stadium (70,000)
Colours: White shirt, dark blue shorts and socks
Honours: 4 Leagues, 1 Royal Cup
Manager: Garoa Larzondo
Lineup: Cheru Larretape (C); Urtzi Galard, Vladimir Beschastyn, Dion Jantot, Váradi Szemere; Kauldi Ayatsbehers, Ion Arreta, Bartosz Slusarski, Wilson Prieto; Vladimir Konovalov; Timo Skye
Shirt Sponsor: Torstebank (Blockhead bank)
Season 643: Champions
Notes: Expectations are high in the Rumiatzi camp, and why shouldn't they be? With a winning team rid of dead-weight forwards and midfielders, and world-class striker Timo Skye coming in, they have every reason to expect much this season.
Prediction: 1st

ImageImage
Iturributa United
Hometown: Iturributa
Ground: Old City Stadium (72,000)
Colours: White shirt with diagonal red stripe, red shorts, white socks
Honours: 2 Leagues, 2 Royal Cups, 2 Ides of March Cups
Manager: Mayorga Achaga
Lineup: Hérion Galonloth; Gerard Royce, Ongile Lezertua, Tartalo Maruri, Luk Merbilha; Norman Carter, Petter Bielsen (C), Lorenzo Gianluigi, Otz Lasuen; Itzaina Erreka, Ellis Elmsvikur
Shirt Sponsor: MariCorp (Erathi recreational drugs)
Season 643: 2nd
Notes: Letting the lead slip on the final matchday was a huge kick in the teeth for Iturributa United, and morale was at an all-time low. They've picked themselves up with a hopeful performance in the Globe Cup, and although they've let some crucial players go in Formerio Iturralde, Benat Uranga and Salum Merec, they've brought in Polarian starlet Ellis Elmsvikur, Echegoyan FC's star right-back Luk Merbilha and Citiz duo Gerard Royce and Norman Carter. Whether the team will meld is yet to be seen, though, and with Petter Bielsen slowed down by age it's difficult to see where the team is going. A more attacking, offensive style is what's expected, but the road to the title is long and arid.
Prediction: 2nd

ImageImage
Echegoyan FC
Hometown: Echegoyan
Ground: Ximun Orieta Sporting Ground (34,000)
Colours: White and green striped shirt, green shorts and socks
Honours: None
Manager: Gunutz Yaregi
Lineup: Echepare Larrea; Soter Borunda, Hori Zufiria (C), Abdoulaye Bocandé, Oihan Sarria; Ilixo Akutain, Iosif Tarapkin, Iban Bachiondo, Anixi Eturaspe; Salum Merec, Kolya Tchailharovic
Season 643: 3rd
Notes: Echegoyan have reinforced themselves remarkably, attracting international stars in Chetkosk's Iosif Tarapkin, Kagdazka and Pazhujebu's Kolya Tchailharovic and Mytannion's Salum Merec, along with domestic talents renowned domestic talents Ilixo Akutain and Oihan Sarria. It's a total revamp to form what is now a truly respectable side that can challenge for the top. It may be too premature to speak of a Big 5, but in light of their recent campaigns who knows what Echegoyan can do?
Prediction: 3rd

ImageImage
Ituraitz FC
Hometown: Ituraitz
Ground: Ituraitz Sporting Ground (63,000)
Colours: All red kit
Honours: 3 Leagues, 3 Royal Cups, 1 Ides of March Cup
Manager: Domeka Iriarte
Lineup: Astigar Barrueta; Atseden Echebarne, Milian Erburu (C), Maore Barturen, Dima Petersen; Soter Larreaga, Lester Sutton, Ikatz Alberro, Tartalo Achaga; Tomas Aer, Ikatz Ansotegi
Shirt Sponsor: ChocoMilk (Citiz dairy products)
Season 643: 4th
Notes: Having reached the final of the regional Copa de los Príncipes in astounding fashion, Ituraitz have left go of some big names, including their two central midfielders and national team right winger Lukar Mendikoa, and their replacements are more than a bit of a gamble. The untested Dima Petersen is expected to cover up for Kenny Lazr, while twenty year-olds Ikatz Alberro and Tartalo Achaga are tasked with keeping control of the midfield. Soter Larreaga, with a handful of caps under his belt, could prove an excellent signing as well, though he hasn't been at his best for a couple of years now.
Prediction: 5th

ImageImage
Sporting Iturributa
Hometown: Iturributa
Ground: Old City Stadium (72,000)
Colours: Dark red kit with gold chevron, dark red shorts and socks
Honours: 1 League, 2 Royal Cups
Manager: Egoi Azarola
Lineup: Irungarai Aztore; Andolin Ankia, Ixona Ertze, Sotil Burruchaga, Eneko Dorregaray; Artur Rochemback, Garin Alea, Eneko Dicharry, Lartaun Zomoza (C); Victor Brexio, Iker Malik
Season 643: 5th
Notes: Staying true to their tradition of continuity and youth academy players, Sporting Iturributa have made only one signing this time around, bringing former Iturributa United man Eneko Dicharry back from Cotdelapoms. His “winning experience” is sure to be a boost, having accumulated three domestic leagues and four cups throughout his career, and with several others returning from loan Sporting look set to improve upon last season.
Prediction: 4th

ImageImage
Astograth University
Hometown: Rumiatzi
Ground: Arritzola (11,000)
Colours: White and light blue halved shirt, light blue shorts and white socks
Honours: None
Manager: Xuban Barrutia
Lineup: Churio Muniya; Alatz Iturriza, Egor Helguson, Svennis Moller (C), Unax Lauzirika; Diagur Lizarraga, Urdaspal Treto, Yoseba Eskoubes, Egerdi Bordato; Xabat Aristegi, Lartaun Echaspe
Season 643: 6th
Notes: Astograth Unversity have turned living off the scraps of more profitable teams into an art form, and this time was no different. Snapping up veteran Yoseba Eskoubes, released from Royal Rumiatzi, and reinforcing their already formidable back line with Churio Muniya, returning from Seria-A's Astria Yaburi, University have another good shot at finishing up in mid-table against all logic.
Prediction: 8th

ImageImage
Ituraitz Victory
Hometown: Ituraitz
Ground: Ituraitz Sporting Ground (63,000)
Colours: Blue shirt, white shorts, blue socks
Honours: 1 Royal Cup
Manager: Iaki Urrutia
Lineup: Aurken Krestia; Apal Lekea, Uzuri Euleche, Gauargi Yurrieta, Aketza Zozaya; Bikendi Irungarai, Ametz Sarria, Uhaitz Bidart, Hanni Lekerika, Iratze Zarazua (C); Sammi Eisner
Season 643: 7th
Notes: A good chunk of Victory's team left or retired last season, but a few smart purchases, including experienced defender Uzuri Euleche, should keep them on track. They don't look ready to really challenge for anything, but staying afloat is well within their range so long as they have Eisner's goals and a strong central midfield to back them up.
Prediction: 7th

ImageImage
Urbizania Wanderers
Hometown: Urbizania
Ground: Cherketzo Arena (30,500)
Colours: All dark green kit
Honours: 1 Royal Cup
Manager: Edorta Urrustoy
Lineup: Yoritz Suastegi; Odon Karrikart, Petrigai Mendiroz (C), Sotil Echeberry, Erlantz Izagirre; Wolfgang Sandberg, Eusko Lachondo, Gito Pizan, Alexei Razov; Bayardo Urruzuno, Danek Badjkev
Shirt Sponsor: Farautoo (Polarian vehicle manufacture)
Season 643: 8th
Notes: Having won a tournament for the first time last season, Wanderers promptly fired the manager, brought in national team icon Edorta Urrustoy and traded promising youth for grizzled veterans; Ellis Elmsvikur, Hurko Atristain and Ikatz Alberro are all gone, in their places arriving Sporting Iturributa legend Bayardo Urruzuno, Mytanar striker Danek Badjkev, Erathi winger Gito Pizan, Polarian Wolfgang Sandberg and strong left-back Odon Karrikart. A formidable investment, but it still might not be enough to reach the Globe Cup.
Prediction: 6th

ImageImage
Blue Mountain Range
Hometown: Echegoyan
Ground: Ximun Orieta Sporting Ground (34,000)
Colours: All light blue kit
Honours: None
Manager: Bizi Boutayre
Lineup: Dei Zambrana; Efraín Vizcaíno, Erramu Labarde, Mogel Anies, Tipi Arregi; Aintza Goyenola (C); Yuaneizu Meiabe, Herauso Uriel, Aberri Elizalde, Iruinea Paei; Intza Basurto
Season 643: 9th
Notes: Blue Mountain Range remain much the same team as last year, minus 36 year-old captain Elorri Zaldibar and plus former Royal Rumiatzi midfielder Aberri Elizalde, brought in from Cotdelapoms' Charlevoix. Don't have much more going for them, though Intza Basurto is a decent enough striker to potentially make up for their defense-heavy formation.
Prediction: 9th

ImageImage
The Army Club
Hometown: Rumiatzi
Ground: 18th March Stadium (21,000)
Colours: Dark red shirt, blue shorts and dark red socks
Honours: None
Manager: Arnaitz Basagoitia
Lineup: Balesio Lanziego (C); Oroitz Garza, Petri Urdanibia, Oinaz Idiakez, Adon Echazarreta; Galeano, Eriz Larannaga, Zilar Sarasua; Orzaize Lizaran, Sendoa Irigiben, Yokin Achabal
Season 643: 10th
Notes: The Army Club retain their players and manager this season, and having just avoided relegation last season they don't look likely to repeat without some kind of overhaul. Going down, we reckon, despite boasting a very attractive style of play.
Prediction: 14th

ImageImage
South Factory
Hometown: Rumiatzi
Ground: The Foundry (35,000)
Colours: All yellow kit
Honours: None
Manager: Andoitz Arriaga
Lineup: Jaap Zuiverloon; Gorri Mendizko (C), Bayardo Laka, Baleren Aresti, Hitzeder Kareaga; Aurken Idoeta, Sein Zamarripa, Lore Echebarne, Marcel Sanderskye; Peruanton Ariztondo, Tilford Quirin
Shirt Sponsor: Poplaberg (Polarian construction)
Season 643: 11th
Notes: South Factory are something of a fallen giant, once coming close to the title and now dragging themselves just above the bottom. They've lost a valuable striker in Ximun Sese, but Citiz Tilford Quirin is an exciting prospect who will be deadly if properly paired with playmaker Sanderskye. The climb back to the top looks like a slow one nevertheless.
Prediction: 10th

ImageImage
Iturributa Racing Club
Hometown: Iturributa
Ground: The Hippodrome (16,000)
Colours: Orange shirt with black stripe, orange shorts and socks
Honours: None
Manager: Loitzun Orrigarai
Lineup: Urtzin Sagasti; Axixi Larriategi, Leheren Arrexe, Emaut Oidor (C), Artizar Medrano; Balesio Lasa, Froila Zabala, Hustaz Amas, Mendebal Zaldibia; Argi Lezertua, Kauldi Isasmendi
Season 643: 12th
Notes: Iturributa Racing Club have a solid striker in Kauldi Isasmendi and a true defender in Emaut Oidor, veteran of Ituraitz FC's best years, but Iturributa Racing Club should still have a tough time staying up. They're not going down without a fight, though, and if they do they'll make sure to take rivals Garitzeta Racing Club with them.
Prediction: 13th

ImageImage
Athletic Club Rumiatzi
Hometown: Rumiatzi
Ground: Gotorlekua (42,000)
Colours: Blue and white striped shirt, blue shorts and socks
Honours: None
Manager: Alar Martikorena
Lineup: Lartaun Echegorri; Bikendi Medrano, Axular Arana, Ixona Unamunzaga (C), Kelmen Dazarola; Eneko Maruri, Ametz Soraiz, Elston Piran-Osrick; Munio Baranzano, Berasko Arechaga, Gaur Arambilet
Season 643: 13th
Notes: Athletic Club Rumiatzi have made an impressive investment in completely renewing their offense, bringing in three big names in the Astograthian game: Munio Baranzano, a favourite of Powell Pieran and with a career spanning successful spells at Iturributa United and Citiz side Eastern Chase; Berasko Arechaga, long-time forward for Echegoyan FC before joining Saint Urbain of the Série A; and Gaur Arambilet, a 35 year-old with an impressive goal ratio for the national team and multiple titles won in Astograth and Erathore. Athletic will be Arambilet's fifth and probably last club, so he hopes to make it a worthwhile stay.
Prediction: 11th

ImageImage
Garitzeta Racing Club
Hometown: Garitzeta
Ground: Letatzadur Stadium (16,300)
Colours: Black and orange striped shirt, black shorts and socks
Honours: None
Manager: Egun Arbizu
Lineup: Artzeiz Treto; Lekuberi Erioste, Alaon Iturrioz, Anakoz Arbizu, Eneto Soreasu; Bladi Ytuarte (C), Osoitz Artechebarria, Urrai Gangoiti, Otsoko Egues; Berdaitz Ernaut, Meabe Bastida
Season 643: 1st in Second Division
Notes: Garitzeta Racing Club make their way back into the top tier and will be looking to cement their place at the expense of their classic rivals from Iturributa. Speaking of which, their big signing is former Iturributa Racing striker Meabe Bastida, so there'll be no love lost when the teams finally clash.
Prediction: 12th

ImageImage
Athletic Club Olarria
Hometown: Olarria
Ground: North Point Stadium (12,100)
Colours: Claret shirt with sky blue hoop, claret shorts and socks
Honours: None
Manager: Eate Orkiola
Lineup: Benat Eraso; Asier Irazu, Yulen Garikano, Dei Letemendia, Domeka Elaustigeta; Zilar Garabiya, Ageyo Uzkudun, Leizarraga Lukuix, Yoseba Mestraita; Xanti Olasagastia (C), Loren Dornaletze
Season 643: 2nd in Second Division
Notes: Keeping up the tradition of at least one team making their top tier debut each season, Athletic Club Olarria take their first steps on the big stage after ending up in fourth place three seasons in a row. It's this lack of “winning experience” that will probably be their weakest point, however, with no radical changes to the last season's team. Second Division just isn't the same as first, so we can't see them staying up.
Prediction: 16th

ImageImage
Royal Arexa
Hometown: Arexa
Ground: Goyaingerua Stadium (21,810)
Colours: All white kit
Honours: None
Manager: Altzibar Echenarro
Lineup: Arkaitz Arbizo; Iratze Ixuel, Egoitz Ermigarat, Bakar Laranaga, Enetz Lorza; Remir Elgezabal, Beremando Eskibel, Manu Arburua, Osasun Segura; Yelchu Urdangarin (C), Artzai Alberro
Season 643: 3rd in Second Division
Notes: Royal Arexa are back for their third season of top tier football, but again, the shift in pace and mentality looks to be too large. Tried-and-true defense, with a number of former U-21 national team players, but the midfield and offense won't cut it here.
Prediction: 15th

Fodboldforbund i Baltskandio
International TLA: BSK

One of the several duties of Baltskandio's Sport and Culture Ministry is to oversee efforts to develop top-flight competitors to represent the nation internationally. The Ministry thus instituted an elite leagues program in four team sports, including football. Separate leagues exist for men and women in each sport.

Fodboldforbund i Baltskandio administers the football leagues. Each has eight teams, one from each sports club certified by the Ministry as an Elite Sports Club. This certification requires the ability to field all eight teams and see them perform in the second-tier competitions at or above certain average standards.

Athletes that compete in these leagues are a mixture of professionals, semi-professionals, and amateurs. Since Ministry sponsorship seeks to develop Baltskandian competitors, strict limits are placed upon foreign players. For pragmatic reasons, a minimum age of 14 years is enforced. Otherwise, rosters are effectively unrestricted and clubs seek out talent from all over the land.

As local authorities contemplated entry into UICA competition, the following standards were set for nominations:

 • The Champions' Cup nomination goes to the men's champion of the most recently completed season.
 • The first Globe Cup nomination goes to the women's champion of the most recently completed season.
 • Any men's champion bypassed for both Champions' Cup and Globe Cup because of the timing of their title comes next, most recent champion first but excluding titles won prior to 227.
 • Remaining slots in the Globe Cup go to clubs below first place in the order of finish of the most recently completed men's season.
 • Should the nation later earn a second Champions' Cup berth, the women's slot above will be upgraded and all other standards remain unaltered.

KPFA League First Division 5253 Season Preview

Tertius Shajarhayam – It's that time of year again. Dust off your scarves, wash off your novelty tupperware, and cover your children in paint; the First Division is set to begin. Last season we saw the triad of FKM, Gimnasia, and Vulkan rise to the top of the Federation's pyramid, and the pattern looks sure to continue this year. With investment pouring in at Vulkan and FKM, and with champions Gimnasia holding serve, we ought to have a full-blown three way race here, just like last season. Suspecting that an era may beginning, many of our peers in the press have begun to use the term 'The Southwest Three,' a reference to the location of all three sides within Kagdazka. We at the Herald will withhold judgment on the term until this triad proves its longevity, though we have to admit, FKM, Gimnasia, and Vulkan are all really, really good.

The People's Club have undergone a bit of a renovation; without Sacha Chrétien at the helm, and with Nemešiabhi Ja in charge, the Orange and Silver may look a bit less defensive minded, which the fans won't complain about. Olec Dasra is back, having been recalled from his loan to Vaastrada, and the additions of Baltabek Ignatyev and Demyan Ilych will restore a bit of old-school Kagdaz feel to the side.

Gimnasia see no changes to the side that ruled the table in fits and starts last season before ultimately nipping their closest rivals for the title. Zivan Zagorinski can be proud of what he's built; there's no attack in the league more fearsome than Sartelli, Sajid, and Filipov, and in Berghaus, Barrenechea, Beenum, and Jujazhedhi, the Gypsies' midfield is nothing to cry about either.

On the other side of Gelendzhik, meanwhile, Pavel Vengerov's inability to figure out where to play has cost him a place with the Burgundy. Instead, the young attacking midfielder Najazhghu Zeqhur has departed Angels for the greener climes of Vulkan. He is depended upon to give the Volcano the cutting edge they need to capture the first title in the illustrious side's history.

There are simply no other clubs that can challenge for the title. However, as readers will know, there are five spots available in the UICA competitions, so there's room for two more at the party (though the Globe Cup is as much as the stragglers can hope for). The three clubs most likely to have a go at the top five are generally agreed upon to be Raktaghav Hathi, Therakham, and Urajbina.

The Red Elephants have now fully and completely outstripped their hated local enemies Urnabhi. Where once Urnabhi were the darlings of the Federation for their incredible promotion-and-stay-for-ten-years feat, Hathi have totally one-upped the Spiders, climbing far into the top half and building a quality side, even without their talismanic heroine Chalia Sajid (who left for Gimnasia one season ago).

Therakham, meanwhile, are more than prepared for a Globe Cup campaign; after all, they've been there before. The defending Vahavi champions are a deadly force, especially in attack, and they will make quick work of the lower-ranked sides in the First Division. Old Razava just keeps trucking along, but when you think about it, it hasn't been that hard to do with such strong strikers as Pudibhišu and Šeruthuvu in front of him.

Urajbina have rebuilt, and are also in the mix for a Globe Cup place. With Dagrun Hallvarðsdóttir running the show in midfield, Urajbina ought to be a strong outfit this year. Maksim Astafyev has cleaned up Ignacio Vélez's mess better than anyone thought he could, and fans have a renewed sense of loyalty to the Yellow, Red, and Blue.

But what about Zhevassi? No, it's no misprint. We haven't mentioned the Galacticos amongst those who could push for the UICA places because, simply, they aren't good enough to do so. That's unfair, we take it back. Their defense and midfield are good enough to do so, but their strikers aren't. Durai's been a complete flop since his arrival on the Zahuj Peninsula, Hovi's dismissal from the national Babbage side has obviously damaged his confidence, and Omelchenko is just way too old. Can the Polarian boss Nicolaj Koch sort things out where Nemešiabhi Ja could not? Time will tell, but either way, Zhevassi are likely to finish mid-table this year.

You can expect to see Urnabhi and Yastrabi meandering near the eight-place spot as well. The former continues to look defensively solid under Dan Medworth, and the addition of Caligularana Harishandra has reinforced the attack, but the Spiders are nothing special. The Hawks, meanwhile, are undergoing a negative-minded revolution of their own; Miron Stefanyshyn, the dreaded Grim Reaper of Beautiful Football, is back in the Federation with Yastrabi.

Then we've got a few clubs that could swing anywhere between mid-table and relegation. Iguani are doing well to stay up by the skin of their teeth, but it has required a lot of investment and rumor has it that eventually they're going to run out of money pretty soon here. Krevetka would look like a lock for relegation, given that they've just lost their captain, Ilych, to transfer, but for the fact that their old hero Prosha Tsilevich is back, having lost his job with Pretty Awesome Persons.

And Juvapanam... oh, Juvapanam. What a sorry lot this is. What would Oujadda, Urrustoy, or Qaavigaaq say? But all those famous names are gone into the history books. The modern Invincibles era is a grim one; scraping out a meager existence just above the relegation zone. Could this be the year the Sky and Silver fall into the Second Division? I think most neutrals hope not.

One thing that could keep Juvapanam up is the implosion that's occurred at Angels. Ugo Stowell's youth revolution is stuttering, as the generation that he helped to cultivate has pretty much up and left, tempted by better offers from bigger clubs. Durai's off to Zhevassi, Jujazhedhi's off to Gimnasia, and now Zeqhur's off to Vulkan. All they have left is Torbinskiy, a moderately skilled centre forward.

Two of the three promoted sides, Dynamo and Kileh Gulabhav, can be reasonably hopeful about staying up as a result of Angels' and Juvapanam's woes. Neither outfit is really brilliant (though Dynamo's previous experience in the top flight perhaps makes them a better candidate than the pink-wearing newbies from the capital), but one of the two might manage to stay up this year. Shadows, on the other hand...

Despite coming right back up to the First Division after a strong year in the Second, Šede Island Shadows don't have a snowball's chance in hell of staying up. For some reason, they figured it would be a good idea to appoint a former player (a good former player, don't get us wrong) with absolutely no managerial experience as their boss for their first year back in the top flight. Thambi Zanga is a perfectly nice bloke, and he may get on well with locals in Pkethat Šede, but nobody actually believes he can manage a football team, right?

Osarius King's League 2194-95 Preview

For the purposes of determining a player's eligibility in accordance to league caps on non-Osarian players, a player is considered "Foreign" if he or she hails from one of the following countries: Kryosis, Eristicea, Aquillian. A player who is neither Osarian, nor a citizen of any of the aforementioned nations is considered an "Overseas" player.
F denotes Foreign player designation.
O denotes Overseas player designation

AFC Hollybrent
Stadium: Applegrass Arena, Hollybrent (64 000)
Honours: OFA Cup (x8), Corradini Cup (x2), Osarius Football Combination (x5)
Manager: Yannic Yokum (Tyrrin)
The former club captain and cult hero has worked hard to steady the ship in recent years, and has the backing of the board. His job is pretty secure, and it would take a catastrophic season to see him ousted this term. Improvement will be expected, however.
Captain: Alvaro Iniesta (Osarius)
Iniesta has flown quietly below the radar at Hollybrent for a while now, and probably isn't "captain material" in the eyes of the majority. However, it is his quiet determination that Yokum admires, and that makes him one of the most respected players in the league.
Kit Manufacturer: Corradini
Shirt Sponsor: E-Lete (Sportswear)
Starting Lineup: [4-4-2] Clarkson; Duffy, Marsh, Serna, BarriosF; Gross, Iniesta (c), BorredanF, Martinez; Bray, Richards
Last season:
 • 10th in King's League
 • OFA Cup Fourth Round
 • Corradini Cup Fourth Round
 • UICA Competition - Did not enter

Arcaea County FC
Stadium: The Office, Bowsston (temporary) (29 000)
Honours: King's League (x1)
Manager: Orlando Florian (Osarius)
His clashes with Director of Football Benedict di Corradi were well-documented in recent years, but their relationship has cooled, and they are working well together to build a strong future. The budget has been slashed for this season though, so expect Florian to take the lead again.
Captain: Aaliyah Ferguson (Osarius)
As odd as it might sound -- considering his past issues with females -- Ferguson's promotion to captain was uncontested by Benedict di Corradi, who even endorsed the decision. Her creativity and no-nonsense attitude are key to her influence at Arcaea.
Kit Manufacturer: Corradini
Shirt Sponsor: Fenomenon (Sportswear)
Starting Lineup: [4-4-2] Angel; Long, McGowan, McManus, Broderick; Craig, Fletcher, Ferguson (c), Arnold; Humphrey, Caporaso
Last season:
 • 12th in King's League
 • OFA Cup Fourth Round
 • Corradini Cup Fourth Round
 • UICA Competition - Did not enter

Burningham City
Stadium: Elishat Stadium, Birmingham (72 000)
Honours: King's League (x14), OFA Cup (x11), Corradini Cup (x7)
Manager: Sir George Pennant (Osarius)
Sir George has come under fire from a small group of fans in recent years, who feel that the club should be winning more trophies. He has hinted that he intends to retire at the end of the season, but its hard to imagine his replacement will be able to live up to his legacy.
Captain: Conor Kinsella (Osarius)
The prototypical "action man" captain, Conor Kinsella's best positions are probably two of the most influential in the game. Tipped at 21 to be a future Osarius captain, his willingness to (literally) put his body on the line makes it hard to disagree.
Kit Manufacturer: Corradini
Shirt Sponsor: Royal Gold (Electronics)
Starting Lineup: [4-4-2] Corradini; ScosO, Steele, Kinsella (c), Illuminato; Beltran, Turner, Rapinato, Rabuano; Cassetti, Lawrence
Last season:
 • 3rd in King's League
 • OFA Cup Semi Finals
 • Corradini Cup Winners
 • UICA Competition - Globe Cup Qualifying Stage

Callisto City FC
Stadium: Golden Temple, Callisto (32 000)
Honours: Corradini Cup (x1), Royal League (x1)
Manager: Hugh Collingwood (Osarius)
Collingwood's appointment by the new ownership came as a surprise, but he repaid their faith with a stunning season in the Royal League last term. His Hastmead background shines through in his tactical habits, and he has rejuvenated a Callisto side that was in freefall.
Captain: Marc Treville (Osarius)
Collingwood's decision not to alter the captaincy may be a political one in part, though Treville's role appears to have evolved from simple destroyer to a pseudo-regista. His cool headedness helps to prevent the team panicking when they go behind, too.
Kit Manufacturer: Umas
Shirt Sponsor: Amaranthina (Utilities)
Starting Lineup: [4-3-3] Williams; Rowland, Bartley, Knowles, Puntoriero; Treville (c), DesruisseauxO, Gonzalez; BarreraF, Mackay, AguileraF
Last season:
 • 1st in Royal League
 • OFA Cup Quarter Finals
 • Corradini Cup Second Round
 • UICA Competition - Did not enter

Cymrwell FC
Stadium: Cymrwell Stadium, Cymrwell (26 000)
Honours: OFA Cup (x2), Corradini Cup (x2)
Manager: Michael N'Diaye (Osarius)
The toughest test facing N'Diaye these days is keeping hold of his best players, while also preparing the team for life without them. His man management skills are solid, as is his tactical ability. However, questions have been raised over his transfer market dealings.
Captain: Katherine Holland (Osarius)
It is nigh impossible to even suggest a more influential player in the Cymrwell dressing room than Katherine Holland. Her ability to read the game is among the best in Osarius, and her mere presence helps to calm the rest of her team.
Kit Manufacturer: Corradini
Shirt Sponsor: Ansuro (Telecommunications)
Starting Lineup: [5-4-1] MaltioO; Cipriani, Clifton, Holland (c), Quinn, Daniels; Solis, Walsh, Buckner, BorjiginO; Barbiero
Last season:
 • 14th in King's League
 • OFA Cup Fifth Round
 • Corradini Cup Third Round
 • UICA Competition - Did not enter

FC United of Dynapolis
Stadium: The Dragon's Den, Dynapolis (31 000)
Honours: Minor League Championship - Group Winners (x1)
Manager: Lorenzo Ramiro (Osarius)
Ramiro has returned FCU to the big time, but he faces a tough job to keep them there. Expect to see him under strain. His management style has raised questions in the past but it has been somewhat effective for the club. His major problem appears to be a lack of financial backing.
Captain: Tyler Cleaver (Kryosis)
Ramiro can't be the only one to have noticed that Cleaver does exactly what he says on the tin. He cleaves. His tough-tackling style of play is typical of a Kryosi centre-half, and is highly popular with the fans and players alike. Well, not the opposition so much.
Kit Manufacturer: Emmarr
Shirt Sponsor: Agwu Health (Pharmaceuticals)
Starting Lineup: [4-4-2] McDonald; Mancini, CleaverF (c), Prince, Carrion; Casari, Costa, Alonso, Diaz; TapiaF, Ocampo
Last season:
 • 4th in Royal League
 • OFA Cup Fourth Round
 • Corradini Cup Second Round
 • UICA Competition - Did not enter

Firewood City
Stadium: The Cauldron, Firewood (54 000)
Honours: King's League (x18), OFA Cup (x9), Corradini Cup (x8), Phoenix Cup (x3), Osarius Football Combination (x5)
Manager: Ronald Ceasar (Eastfield Lodge)
Ronald Ceasar's reign at Firewood has seen them return to the top, and any questions regarding the former Eastfield Lodge manager's normally cautious tactical style have been dispelled. Expect to see him try to bring through more young players as he seeks to build on recent successes.
Captain: Enrico Martelli (Osarius)
Signed as the supposed successor to the previous captain, it was inevitable that "Rico" would become captain eventually. It has taken him a while to grow into the role, though, and his lead by example style might not be the best fit for Firewood at the moment.
Kit Manufacturer: Corradini
Shirt Sponsor: Metis (Financial)
Starting Lineup: [4-2-3-1] Gulati; A. Robinson, PedersonO, CrowF, M. Robinson; Samra, Dhillon; M. di Corradi, Martelli (c), A. di Corradi; IdtaileO
Last season:
 • 1st in King's League
 • OFA Cup Third Round
 • Corradini Cup Fourth Round
 • UICA Competition - TakilQuip Champions' Cup Group Stage; Globe Cup Round of 32

Grasshoppers Turic
Stadium: Turic Thunderdome, Turic (46 000)
Honours: King's League (x4), OFA Cup (x11), Corradini Cup (x5)
Manager: Karl Heinz-Grichenbauer (Osarius)
Some Turic fans are falling out of love with Heinz-Grichenbauer, as their stars age and they feel their replacements are inferior. There will need to be some serious improvement in Turic to quell their ire, though the board are unlikely to dump him any time soon.
Captain: Harvey Decker (Osarius)
Like Gidds before him, Decker is a player's player. He lives for the game, and there can't be many more passionate than he is. The enduring image of the Turic captain is his bloodied shirt, and gap-toothed grin after the OFA Cup final last season.
Kit Manufacturer: Daiden
Shirt Sponsor: Pantera (Automobiles)
Starting Lineup: [4-2-3-1] Ambrosio; Enrique, Barajas, Decker (c), FarnleighO; Millican, Bangura; Hendricks, Gremio, Sesmiro; KjærsgaardO
Last season:
 • 6th in King's League
 • OFA Cup Winners
 • Corradini Cup Third Round
 • UICA Competition - Globe Cup Group Stage; Cygnus Cup First Round

Greeningham City
Stadium: Green Bowl, Greeningham (51 000)
Honours: King's League (x7), OFA Cup (x7), Corradini Cup (x4), Phoenix Cup (x2), Osarius Football Combination (x3)
Manager: Alan Gould (Osarius)
Alan Gould is arguably fortunate to be in a job at Greeningham after a disastrous season a few years back, but he has recovered brilliantly to regain the trust of the fans and the team. The emergence of Romario Roberts is largely down to his shrewd management. Expect others to follow.
Captain: Andre Gumble (Osarius)
Replacing Rio Fortunado was always going to be tough, and Gumble struggled at first. He's adjusted pretty well though, and the focus on the likes of Roberts and Jenkins has allowed him to keep his head down and lead without too much pressure.
Kit Manufacturer: Corradini
Shirt Sponsor: DynaBet (Gambling)
Starting Lineup: [4-4-2] Andrews; Jenkins, Pemberton, Teobaldo, GudesteF; YutepovO, Gumble, Gonzalez, BobredaO; Johnson, Roberts
Last season:
 • 5th in King's League
 • OFA Cup Quarter Finals
 • Corradini Cup Third Round
 • UICA Competition - Did not enter

Hastmead Diamante
Stadium: Black Patch Park, Carbonia (31 000)
Honours: King's League (x2), OFA Cup (x2), Corradini Cup (x1), Phoenix Cup (x1), Royal League (x1)
Manager: Amandeep Sahota (Osarius)
Hastmead's failure to win a trophy last season was a surprise, and a disappointment. However, not a single fan would claim it reflects badly on Sahota's management. The fans and team love him, and the board are thrilled with his work at the club.
Captain: D'Antoni Williams (Osarius)
Williams seems to have been Hastmead captain forever, and its hard to imagine the team without him. His never-say-die attitude is a cornerstone of the Hastmead mentality, and his insistence on sticking to the manager's gameplan helps to win over the younger players.
Kit Manufacturer: Corradini
Shirt Sponsor: Ikonik (Telecommunications)
Starting Lineup: [4-1-2-3] Ustari; Cromwell, EkuadorO, KocO, Kouli; van der SmeejinO; Williams (c), Baird; Ibrahim, AlonsoO, Valenti
Last season:
 • 2nd in King's League
 • OFA Cup Runners-up
 • Corradini Cup Quarter Finals
 • UICA Competition - TakilQuip Champions' Cup Second Preliminary Round; Globe Cup Qualifying Stage

Iton Valley FC
Stadium: Ocean Towers, Al-Biyyan (21 450)
Honours: Royal League (x1), Minor League Championship (x1)
Manager: Anton Maro (Osarius)
As an experienced King's League manager, Anton Maro knows what to expect in the top flight, but some will question his record. He has a reputation for making shrewd signings from lower leagues, but there have been several instances in the past where he's had bust-ups with his players.
Captain: Davion Findlay (Osarius)
The underrated central midfielder is at the hub of most of Iton Valley's play, though he didn't emerge as a key player until Maro took over. He dictates the tempo often, and can "change gears" in an instant.
Kit Manufacturer: Umas
Shirt Sponsor: ToteIt (Gambling)
Starting Lineup: [4-4-2] Murphy; S. Harper, Spencer, D. Harper; Sinclair, Sullivan, Findlay (c), Griffiths, Cain; Chamberlain, Shaw
Last season:
 • 16th in King's League
 • OFA Cup Fourth Round
 • Corradini Cup Runners-up
 • UICA Competition - Did not enter

Junipa Athletic
Stadium: Junipa Stadium, Junipa (31 000)
Honours: Corradini Cup (x1), Royal League (x2)
Manager: Gonzalo Hernandez (Osarius)
Hernandez has struggled in the past, but Reuben Osbourne's cash injections have given him a new lease of life. Previously dissenting fans are slowly being won over, and the club is rapidly improving. His newfound enthusiasm is rubbing off on the players, too.
Captain: Ayo Ayedele (Kryosis)
Hernandez appreciates the defensive solidity of the Kryosi centre back, and the decision to make him captain is perhaps psychological. By making him a focal point in the squad, he anchors the team's attention on defending; a problem area in the past.
Kit Manufacturer: Lynx
Shirt Sponsor: Heart Kitchen (Food)
Starting Lineup: [4-5-1] Dobson; Bryce, Groves, AyedeleF (c), Piras; Barbieri, Mason, Menendez, Zamora, Vuzela; Millbanks-Ford
Last season:
 • 13th in King's League
 • OFA Cup Fourth Round
 • Corradini Cup Third Round
 • UICA Competition - Did not enter

Paper Tree Town
Stadium: Papyrus Stadium, Barcho (26 000)
Honours: Royal League (x1)
Manager: Nigel Ferdinand (Osarius)
Inheriting a defensive team which struggled under a great defender like Marcus Crow must have been a daunting task at first, but Ferdinand has managed to improve Paper Tree Town's counter-attacking ability with some shrewd signings. Expect him to continue his attempts to balance the team out.
Captain: Craig Pugh (Osarius)
It's almost impossible to argue with the influence and talent of Craig Pugh. His recent international debut garnered media attention for his "underdog story", and that adds weight to his role for his club. His organisation of the defence is also excellent.
Kit Manufacturer: Emmarr
Shirt Sponsor: Marauder (Automobiles)
Starting Lineup: [5-3-1-1] DaderioO; Cole, Borgese, Bottego, Pugh (c), Rivera; Martinelli, Adduci, Pesciano; Estevan; Baldwin
Last season:
 • 15th in King's League
 • OFA Cup Third Round
 • Corradini Cup Third Round
 • UICA Competition - Did not enter

Real Jraxville FC
Stadium: JNV Arena, Jraxville (42 000)
Honours: Royal League (x1)
Manager: Anthony Yoah (Osarius)
Even though the club's mega-rich owners are reigning in the spending, Anthony Yoah seems comfortable. He has spent the past few seasons laying the groundwork for a sustained title challenge, and has known all along that this was coming. The job is not yet finished, though.
Captain: Ayanna Barca-Carthy (Osarius)
As if there was any other possible candidate. "Super Ayanna" has proven her ability as a captain, playmaker, and even a destroyer. Teammates have commented on her intensity and driven attitude as major factors in her success, and that of her team.
Kit Manufacturer: Corradini
Shirt Sponsor: Dynakron (Electronics)
Starting Lineup: [4-1-3-2] VitoO; Warwick, Nolan, Walker, Quadrelli; Barca-Carthy (c); Dequid, Pepito, Rush; ToledoO, RainsO
Last season:
 • 8th in King's League
 • OFA Cup Fifth Round
 • Corradini Cup Fourth Round
 • UICA Competition - Did not enter

Real Rajahara FC
Stadium: Ferro Stadium, Birmingham (25 000)
Honours: Royal League (x1)
Manager: Claudio Bielsa (Osarius)
Bielsa's unorthodox tactical systems and odd man management methods would perhaps be rejected anywhere else (except maybe Violia) but Rajahara have embraced them. His oddball mentality has brought him love from the fans in a form that no other manager in the league has.
Captain: Robin Harvey (Osarius)
Bielsa's decision to make Harvey captain is probably largely down to his flexibility and ability to adjust to various tactical systems. That comfort he exudes in several systems projects on to his teammates and makes it easier for Bielsa to attempt his strange systems.
Kit Manufacturer: Corradini
Shirt Sponsor: Parallax (Computing)
Starting Lineup: [3-1-4-2] Potter; Harvey, AnayaF, Hale; Hays; CarapetisF, Lee, Dantis, Abetti; Vela, Grant
Last season:
 • 17th in King's League
 • OFA Cup Third Round
 • Corradini Cup Fourth Round
 • UICA Competition - Did not enter

Trelagstad FC
Stadium: Trelland Road, Trelagstad (16 000)
Honours: Phoenix League (x1)
Manager: Dean Atkinson (Osarius)
As a club legend, Dean Atkinson can pretty much do no wrong. His management style has been embraced by his players, and the squad have faith in him even when the results aren't great. His connections within football are invaluable for getting loan deals, too.
Captain: Lionel Milito (Aquillian)
Atkinson has opted for the traditional method of making your best player your captain, it seems. Milito seems totally unfazed by this, and will likely lead by example, as he doesn't know how to lead any other way.
Kit Manufacturer: Corradini
Shirt Sponsor: ONE Service (Energy)
Starting Lineup: [3-4-3] Dalton; Fentress, Lamb, Vitali; Eastmond, CosarF, Orlova, Salinas; MilitoF, Telo, Sayaka
Last season:
 • 11th in King's League
 • OFA Cup Third Round
 • Corradini Cup Third Round
 • UICA Competition - Did not enter

Trothwands Evolution
Stadium: Trothwands Terrordome, Trothwands (67 000)
Honours: Corradini Cup (x4)
Manager: Jonathan Herd (Osarius)
Herd's successes at lower levels were a major factor in his hiring at Trothwands, and he is taking his time rebuilding a fractured squad. His knowledge of the lower leagues has been invaluable in finding transfer market bargains, too.
Captain: Elias Myron (Kryosis)
Making Myron captain was an unexpected choice, but totally understandable. Myron is perhaps the most level-headed player in the team, and in this period of transition and rebuilding, that's what is needed. His calmness will prevent another downward spiral.
Kit Manufacturer: Corradini
Shirt Sponsor: Ferro (Construction)
Starting Lineup: [4-4-2] VelascoF; Ferraro, Butler, Long, Aquilani; Shazad, MyronF (c), Helmuth, Paladino; Wilkinson, TrinidadF
Last season:
 • 9th in King's League
 • OFA Cup Quarter Finals
 • Corradini Cup Semi Finals
 • UICA Competition - Did not enter

Utica United
Stadium: The Ursinopolis, Utica (59 000)
Honours: King's League (x2), OFA Cup (x1), Corradini Cup (x1)
Manager: Rúben Contreras (Tamarindia)
The popular and charismatic Tamarindian coach is a cult hero in Utica after leading the club to OFA cup glory in his first season. His dedication to youth development and attractive football have been embraced at Utica, where he appears to have made them genuine title contenders.
Captain: Jayson Dhanda (Osarius)
Dhanda's determination and iron will are crucial components to Utica's successes so far, as he sometimes carries the team when they falter. His pride in the armband has seen his consistency improve dramatically since his younger days, too.
Kit Manufacturer: Corradini
Shirt Sponsor: E-Lete (Sportswear)
Starting Lineup: [4-3-3] MalsoloO; Share, Ayala, Zavaglia, Brooke; Harris, Dhanda, Webster; AgualuO, Speranzo, Stern
Last season:
 • 4th in King's League
 • OFA Cup Fifth Round
 • Corradini Cup Third Round
 • UICA Competition - Globe Cup Eliminatory Stage

Violia FC
Stadium: Violet Temple, Burningham (28 000)
Honours: Phoenix League (x1)
Manager: Oswaldo Garabona (Osarius)
Once described by Stu Hammond as looking like "a second hand car salesman", and with an apparent penchant for madcap interview responses, Garabona is perhaps the most entertaining manager in the league. His tactics leave a bit to be desired, though Violia are very dangerous offensively.
Captain: Ramón Osmundo (Eristicea)
Unsurprisingly, Garabona has made the focal point and captain of his team the player most like himself. Osmundo's ability to shoulder the pressure placed on him leaves the rest of the team free to express themselves.
Kit Manufacturer: Umas
Shirt Sponsor: Legenda (Electronics)
Starting Lineup: [5-2-3] GómezF; Pellegrino, Martinelli, Messina, McCoyF, Agnelli; Sims, OsmundoF; Phelps, Valdez, Harris
Last season:
 • 7th in King's League
 • OFA Cup Third Round
 • Corradini Cup Third Round
 • UICA Competition - Did not enter

Warton Villa
Stadium: Warton Lower Grounds, Warton (14 000)
Honours: Corradini Cup (x1)
Manager: Richard Deacon (Osarius)
Deacon's return to the top flight was only a matter of time, and to have achieved it with Warton Villa only underlines his ability to operate on a shoestring budget. However, with the gap between Royal League and King's League ever-widening, its hard to see him flourish without significant financial backing.
Captain: Lorenzo Marchetti (Osarius)
Marchetti is a graduate of one of the OFA's elite academies, and his football education there shines through in his attitude to the game on and off the pitch. Deacon wants Warton Villa to be taken seriously, so he's put a serious player at the forefront of his team.
Kit Manufacturer: Umas
Shirt Sponsor: ICD (Publishing)
Starting Lineup: [4-4-2] Zavala; Stocco, Benitez, De Rosa, Griffiths; O'Reilly, Marchetti (c), Sacchi, JohnsonF; FletcherF, Viola
Last season:
 • 2nd in Royal League
 • OFA Cup Fourth Round
 • Corradini Cup Second Round
 • UICA Competition - Did not enter
Monarch: Alexander III | First Minister: Mathieu Lupin | Population: ~125 million | Capital: Burningham, Mount Crown

The KPFA League System is happy to introduce a long-overdue new trophy to the yearly cycle: a Super Cup competition between the previous season's winner of the First Division and the previous season's winner of the Šenapatiam'ajat Vahavi. With Purple Pearl Cruises CEO Qudha'madhiki Nizhu willing to offer up the stadium of his club (Šah ZL) for the contest (in exchange for naming rights, of course), we're all set to begin a new tradition! So, without further ado...

Season I: Final Week

Well, there was marginal hope that someone besides CAP would take the crown, but neither Santos could not find a winner against Augustus and CAP made short work of Myrkan in Paulinthal to secure their first title in the Liga. Almondvale could not avoid defeat against Turkish and kept the Pocoans from getting a split of the TQCC spots, though Tanrısal victory in Khaldoon made sure that it was Pasarga who benefitted this first season with an additional TQCC spot awarded. All that is left for now is to see if Galatica can provide an upset in the Copa Final and make it a clean sweep for Pasarga.

Pythons (QPM) 5–4 Galactica (PAS)

Galactica showed why it is in the running to be part of next season's Liga de Fuego, but just could not hold Pythons down enough to capture the title. Pythons earn theirs and Pocoan's first piece of silverware in the new joint league thanks to their impressive offensive display and leave Pasargans disappointed that they could not perform a double in the inagural season.

O-LEAGUE : SEASON VIII : PART ONE

Will it be a case of dawdle less, rush more for the eighteen sides in the Premier? Let's find out.

The InsureDirect Super Cup - Ousevale Borough 2-0 Avidia United (Orange Street, Beckton)
Ousevale Borough win the resurrected Super Cup, which now has a new twist: rather than being played at the Isserson, it now makes its home at the ground of the Division One champions, who also receive a portion of the gate as a reward for winning the division, as well as showcasing the top flight to new (and returning) cities and grounds.

Matchday 1
The title favourites - Ousevale, Casuals, Avidia United, and the Reds - all start with draws, the most surprising being Emberton, who take just the single point from their trip to ArenaWest. Mercia and New Cefn have no such problems, both racking up five-ones to tie the lead at the top with a mere 33 games to go. Royal Emberton take third by dint of being the only other side to rack up a win, beating Kallia.

Results:
Mercia Bromham 5-1 Leston Town
Neathill 0-0 Ashton Olympic
Avidia City 1-1 Beckton Supermarine
Bradwell Saints 1-1 Casuals Osteria
Avidia United 0-0 Caledon Simpson
Stanton Town 2-2 Ousevale Borough
Royal Emberton 2-0 Kallia United
Aigburth Athletic 1-1 Emberton Reds
New Cefn Albion 5-1 AFC Linford

Matchday 2
The first ever top flight game at the Rutian Grounds is a memorable one; unfortunately, not for the reasons Olympic would have hoped for. The Maroons are hammered by Mercia Bromham, who maintain their 100% record; they're only second though, as New Cefn do what the Reds couldn't and hammer Aigburth. Elsewhere, Ousevale's attack is as good as their defence is bad as they draw three-all with Bradwell, and Leston's win over Beckton is the first win for any of the three promoted sides.

Results:
Ashton Olympic 1-4 Mercia Bromham
Beckton Supermarine 2-4 Leston Town
Casuals Osteria 3-1 Neathill
Caledon Simpson 1-0 Avidia City
Ousevale Borough 3-3 Bradwell Saints
Kallia United 1-3 Avidia United
Emberton Reds 0-3 Stanton Town
AFC Linford 4-2 Royal Emberton
New Cefn Albion 4-0 Aigburth Athletic

Matchday 3
It's OK, you can sit down now, normal service is being restored. New Cefn are brought back down to earth by early surprise package Stanton, who leapfrog Albion into third. Ousevale, too, do what they do best, though the manner of their first victory of the season against Neathill did not scream "champions" by any stretch of the imagination. Elsewhere, Mercia remain top as their win over Beckton puts them three-for-three, and Avidia United defeat Linford in an absolute stonker of a game at the New City Stadium.

Results:
Mercia Bromham 2-1 Beckton Supermarine
Ashton Olympic 3-3 Casuals Osteria
Leston Town 1-0 Caledon Simpson
Neathill 0-1 Ousevale Borough
Avidia City 1-1 Kallia United
Bradwell Saints 1-3 Emberton Reds
Avidia United 5-3 AFC Linford
Stanton Town 1-0 New Cefn Albion
Royal Emberton 3-1 Aigburth Athletic

Matchday 4
Casuals suddenly remember they're supposed to be title contenders, and Mercia's reign at the top of the table is ended by a Vagn Rosenmeyer strike. It's up to Avidia United to steam to the top of the table, though, with a win over rock-bottom Aigburth.

Results:
Casuals Osteria 1-0 Mercia Bromham
Caledon Simpson 3-0 Beckton Supermarine
Ousevale Borough 2-0 Ashton Olympic
Kallia United 2-2 Leston Town
Emberton Reds 3-0 Neathill
AFC Linford 1-4 Avidia City
New Cefn Albion 0-0 Bradwell Saints
Aigburth Athletic 1-3 Avidia United
Royal Emberton 2-2 Stanton Town

Matchday 5
This season is already looking to be a classic. Leaders Avidia United entertain Stanton, Mark Emnes helps himself to a late winner, and it's the Dockers who are our fourth table-topper in five games. Creeping up behind them, though, are Ousevale, whose win over Casuals makes it three on the trot. If it's entertainment you're looking for, though, get yourself up to Brecklands. AFC Linford have now scored the most goals so far this season - they've also conceded the most, fourteen to seventeen.

Results:
Mercia Bromham 2-3 Caledon Simpson
Casuals Osteria 1-2 Ousevale Borough
Beckton Supermarine 0-2 Kallia United
Ashton Olympic 1-3 Emberton Reds
Leston Town 1-5 AFC Linford
Neathill 0-2 New Cefn Albion
Avidia City 1-1 Aigburth Athletic
Bradwell Saints 3-2 Royal Emberton
Avidia United 0-1 Stanton Town

KFA Cup XIX: Qualifying Round
Alliance League ahoy, as the twenty teams in the division compete for ten spots in the Proper.

Results:
Faversham Town 1-0 Blakeland
Salter Athletic 1-1 Wylon United (1-2 AET)
Middleton 2-1 Highfield
Challenger 1-0 Oxley
Byrrim 1-1 Zoderby United (1-1 AET, 1-2 PKs)
Buyon 1-0 St Peter's
Walton Park 2-0 Yraglac Fire
Tuvera City 1-2 Dynamo Gravea
Wroxham Trinity 1-0 Bulham City
Simpson Jesters 1-2 Yardley Forest

Matchday 6
"Classico" my arse. Mercia and Ousevale is a damp squib; not that Stanton mind, though, as their win over Avidia City gives them some wriggle room at the top. Avidia also overtake the Tigers courtesy of a narrow victory over Bradwell Saints.

At the bottom, meanwhile, Ashton's first win of the season isn't enough to drag them out of the bottom three; could be worse, though. They could be Beckton or Neathill, still to register anything in the "W" column.

Results:
Ousevale Borough 0-0 Mercia Bromham
Kallia United 1-0 Caledon Simpson
Emberton Reds 2-4 Casuals Osteria
AFC Linford 1-0 Beckton Supermarine
New Cefn Albion 0-1 Ashton Olympic
Aigburth Athletic 2-0 Leston Town
Royal Emberton 3-0 Neathill
Stanton Town 1-0 Avidia City
Avidia United 1-0 Bradwell Saints

Matchday 7
Stanton Town: the quintessentially unpredictable team. No-one thought they'd stay top for long; equally, though, no-one expected it to be Leston who shot them down. Avidia United have no problems with this as they beat Neathill to go top; incidentally, Neathill are now the division's only winless wonders thanks to a Supermarine cruise over Aigburth.

Results:
Mercia Bromham 3-0 Kallia United
Ousevale Borough 3-2 Emberton Reds
Caledon Simpson 2-0 AFC Linford
Casuals Osteria 3-2 New Cefn Albion
Beckton Supermarine 3-0 Aigburth Athletic
Ashton Olympic 1-1 Royal Emberton
Leston Town 1-0 Stanton Town
Neathill 1-5 Avidia United
Avidia City 2-0 Bradwell Saints

Matchday 8
The formbook gets well and truly obliterated at the New City Stadium, and Ashton take a valuable point in the process of unleashing a monster. Yes, it's Ousevale on top, as New Cefn's season implodes spectacularly. Quietly turning heads, meanwhile, are unheralded Caledon Simpson, who move up to fourth with a win over Aigburth.

Results:
Emberton Reds 1-3 Mercia Bromham
AFC Linford 1-0 Kallia United
New Cefn Albion 1-4 Ousevale Borough
Aigburth Athletic 0-1 Caledon Simpson
Royal Emberton 1-1 Casuals Osteria
Stanton Town 1-1 Beckton Supermarine
Avidia United 2-2 Ashton Olympic
Bradwell Saints 0-1 Leston Town
Avidia City 4-1 Neathill

Matchday 9
The commentator's curse strikes again, but not on Ousevale. Caledon get broadsided at home to Stanton, whilst Ousevale's win over the Royals keeps them rolling serenely at the top of the table. It's now Mercia giving chase in second, thanks in no small part to the Eagles and Miners sharing the spoils at New Coalfields.

Results:
Mercia Bromham 3-0 AFC Linford
Emberton Reds 4-2 New Cefn Albion
Kallia United 1-3 Aigburth Athletic
Ousevale Borough 2-1 Royal Emberton
Caledon Simpson 0-3 Stanton Town
Casuals Osteria 0-0 Avidia United
Beckton Supermarine 0-3 Bradwell Saints
Ashton Olympic 1-1 Avidia City
Leston Town 0-1 Neathill

Matchday One
Greeningham City 1–1 Paper Tree Town
Utica United 4–2 Arcaea County
Grasshoppers Turic 0–0 Hastmead Diamante
FC United of Dynapolis 0–0 Burningham City
Violia FC 3–5 Real Jraxville
AFC Hollybrent 1–1 Iton Valley FC
Cymrwell FC 2–2 Real Rajahara
Callisto City 4–1 Junipa Athletic
Trothwands Evolution 5–2 Warton Villa
Firewood City 4–1 Trelagstad FC

Firewood's front four put on a show at The Cauldron, while both Trothwands and Jraxville addressed concerns over their scoring ability with five goal hauls. Hastmead were held by a well-organised Turic side, while Burningham City were stunned by a determined FCU side at The Dragon's Den, and perhaps should have lost the game, as Tapia missed a penalty, and Diaz tormented Scos throughout the first half. Callisto City continued their impressive form with a crushing derby win over Junipa Athletic, who are in the process of rebuilding themselves. Though they were helped along by Piras' red card, Callisto were already well on their way to victory.

Matchday Two
Paper Tree Town 3–4 Trelagstad FC
Warton Villa 1–1 Firewood City
Junipa Athletic 1–2 Trothwands Evolution
Real Rajahara 1–0 Callisto City
Iton Valley FC 2–2 Cymrwell FC
Real Jraxville 3–2 AFC Hollybrent
Burningham City 4–2 Violia FC
Hastmead Diamante 2–0 FC United of Dynapolis
Arcaea County 4–5 Grasshoppers Turic
Greeningham City 5–2 Utica United

A seven goal thriller involving Paper Tree Town? Yeah, we're shocked too. Warton Villa holding Firewood to a 1-1 draw? Also shocking. Arcaea's near scalp of Turic was the highlight of the day, though, the Fourgians falling short only after a controversial red card in the 80th minute. Elsewhere, Greeningham City's potent attacking force -- driven by their dynamic midfield duo of Gumble and Gonzalez -- taught Utica's kids a valuable lesson.

Matchday Three
Utica United 3–0 Paper Tree Town
Grasshoppers Turic 5–2 Greeningham City
FC United of Dynapolis 1–2 Arcaea County
Violia FC 2–4 Hastmead Diamante
AFC Hollybrent 2–4 Burningham City
Cymrwell FC 0–1 Real Jraxville
Callisto City 2–1 Iton Valley FC
Trothwands Evolution 5–0 Real Rajahara
Firewood City 5–3 Junipa Athletic
Trelagstad FC 2–0 Warton Villa

The trend toward high scoring games continued with five teams notching up four or more goals again this weekend. Among them Firewood City (proving a point, no doubt) and Grasshoppers Turic (for the second week running). So much for Ceasar and Heinz-Grichenbauer being defensive coaches, eh?

Matchday Four
Paper Tree Town 3–0 Warton Villa
Junipa Athletic 2–0 Trelagstad FC
Real Rajahara 1–2 Firewood City
Iton Valley FC 0–1 Trothwands Evolution
Real Jraxville 3–0 Callisto City
Burningham City 5–0 Cymrwell FC
Hastmead Diamante 3–1 AFC Hollybrent
Arcaea County 3–1 Violia FC
Greeningham City 3–2 FC United of Dynapolis
Utica United 3–2 Grasshoppers Turic

Marco Corradini showed no mercy to his former teammates in the Elishat, as the club he made his name at while on loan was crushed 5-0. Jraxville highlighted the difference between King's League and Royal League with a convincing win over Callisto City that flattered the visitors a little. Elsewhere Real Rajahara and FC United of Dynapolis gave behemoths Firewood City and Greeningham City scares respectively, both teams needing late winners from standout players to claim three points.

Matchday Five
Grasshoppers Turic 3–0 Paper Tree Town
FC United of Dynapolis 3–5 Utica United
Violia FC 0–4 Greeningham City
AFC Hollybrent 1–2 Arcaea County
Cymrwell FC 2–3 Hastmead Diamante
Callisto City 2–0 Burningham City
Trothwands Evolution 1–2 Real Jraxville
Firewood City 2–0 Iton Valley FC
Trelagstad FC 3–1 Real Rajahara
Warton Villa 0–3 Junipa Athletic

Biggest surprise of the season so far! Reigning Royal League champions Callisto City hosted perennial King's League title contenders Burningham City and sent the Mount Crown side packing with no points after a 2-0 defeat. Hugh Collingwood's estatic celebrations on the touchline served only to endear him further to the Golden Temple crowd.

Matchday Six
Paper Tree Town 0–0 Junipa Athletic
Real Rajahara 2–1 Warton Villa
Iton Valley FC 5–5 Trelagstad FC
Real Jraxville 1–3 Firewood City
Burningham City 1–1 Trothwands Evolution
Hastmead Diamante 2–1 Callisto City
Arcaea County 1–1 Cymrwell FC
Greeningham City 3–2 AFC Hollybrent
Utica United 3–1 Violia FC
Grasshoppers Turic 4–0 FC United of Dynapolis

A goal fest in Applegrass saw both Iton Valley and Trelagstad embarassingly expose their defensive frailties in a ten goal draw, but gain plaudits from fans and pundits alike for their fighting spirit. Elsewhere, Firewood City travelled to the JNV Arena, where Alessandro and Maria di Corradi got one over on Ayanna Barca-Carthy -- who many Firewood fans still blame for di Corradi's resignation as Firebirds boss.

Matchday Seven
FC United of Dynapolis 2–0 Paper Tree Town
Violia FC 1–1 Grasshoppers Turic
AFC Hollybrent 0–5 Utica United
Cymrwell FC 1–3 Greeningham City
Callisto City 1–1 Arcaea County
Trothwands Evolution 3–1 Hastmead Diamante
Firewood City 4–5 Burningham City
Trelagstad FC 1–2 Real Jraxville
Warton Villa 1–4 Iton Valley FC
Junipa Athletic 2–2 Real Rajahara

Utica thrashed Hollybrent by five in the early kickoff, only to see Burningham City and Firewood City upstage them later in the day with a nine-goal thriller in The Cauldron. With Hastmead also losing to Trothwands, many pundits speculated on the increased competitiveness of the league, and the unpredictability of it all.

Matchday Eight
Paper Tree Town 1–0 Real Rajahara
Iton Valley FC 3–1 Junipa Athletic
Real Jraxville 4–1 Warton Villa
Burningham City 2–2 Trelagstad FC
Hastmead Diamante 2–4 Firewood City
Arcaea County 2–2 Trothwands Evolution
Greeningham City 2–1 Callisto City
Utica United 2–0 Cymrwell FC
Grasshoppers Turic 4–3 AFC Hollybrent
FC United of Dynapolis 1–2 Violia FC

Firewood bounce back with a 4-2 away win over arguably their closest rivals for the King's League title. Utica, Greeningham and Turic all kept up the pace with wins, however; only Burningham faltered in a surprising draw at the Elishat with Trelagstad. At the other end of the table, FCU's troubles continue, Junipa lose again, and Callisto City slump to another away defeat.

Matchday Nine
Violia FC 2–0 Paper Tree Town
AFC Hollybrent 4–4 FC United of Dynapolis
Cymrwell FC 1–1 Grasshoppers Turic
Callisto City 3–3 Utica United
Trothwands Evolution 3–5 Greeningham City
Firewood City 3–2 Arcaea County
Trelagstad FC 2–2 Hastmead Diamante
Warton Villa 0–4 Burningham City
Junipa Athletic 1–1 Real Jraxville
Real Rajahara 1–2 Iton Valley FC

Trelagstad are going to get a reputation at this rate. Another shock draw with title contenders Hastmead Diamante means that come final matchday, Trelagstad might have had a bigger say in the title's destination than any could have foreseen. Callisto's impressive home form -- they're undefeated in the Golden Temple this season -- manifested itself in a 3-3 draw with title chasing Utica United.

At (roughly) the quarter-way mark, Firewood City are leading the pack... barely. With four teams sitting on 22 points from a possible 27, and another four within five points, this season's title race promises to be one of the most exciting of recent years. Arguably, Utica United are in fact the most impressive side thus far, with the best goal difference of the teams at the top, but their 5-2 defeat in Greeningham is costing them dearly. The surprise package this season seems to be Real Jraxville, who have kept the pace with the leaders, despite their convincing 3-1 defeat at the hands of the reigning champions on matchday six. Perhaps the most shocking thing about the top end of the table is Hastmead Diamante's apparent struggles. The Carbonia-based side are somewhat off the pace this season, trailing Firewood by five, down in eighth place, and while there is still a long way to go, fans must be wondering whether the increased competitiveness in the league might see them not even make it into international competition if this continues.

At the bottom end of the table, Warton Villa are (unsurprisingly) struggling to adjust to the demands of the King's League after a long absence from the top flight. The big surprise near the bottom is Yannic Yokum's Hollybrent side. The legendary former club captain has a lot of work to do if he is to save his job, his club, and his legacy. Michael N'Diaye is also in trouble, as Cymrwell are struggling to maintain their status as a mid-table side. The odds for the Cymrwell boss to be the first manager to lose his job this season have plummeted to 5/2. This is perhaps a little unfair, though, because the Dynapolitan side have already faced five of the media-dubbed "OSN six" -- that is, the six teams most heavily tipped as title contenders, and thus granted the most coverage by OSN. As Cymrwell's fixture list levels out, its feasible that their form will drastically improve.

It's been almost a decade since the divide in the VFA shut down the organised football in Virabia and with the transition to the loose state known as the confederacy, people's attentions have been focused elsewhere and there has been no push for the return of football on any national scale. Only two areas went largely unaffected by this. Tropaia and surprisingly Sørøya. Unlike the days of the UDR, neither of them had been sanctioned by any formalised football governing body but, this year with the re-establishment of the Virabi Olympic High Council (the VOHC) as the National Working Group on Athletics (NWGA), this is no longer the case, facilitated under this body, both the Sørøya Football Association (SFA) and the Alianza Fútbol de Tropaia (AFT)/Football Aliance of Tropaia (FAT) have began to formally sanction the two nations' leagues. Due to the lack of money in Virabia, both operate on the amateur level and objectively feature much lower quality play than even some of the worst clubs in the State Championship System. It is also important to note that while many of the clubs also existed in the SCS, they are really to be treated on the international level as new clubs as they will be entered not under the flag of the Confederacy but both Sørøya and Tropaia.

Sørøya Football League
Spanning two divisions of 6 clubs each, the Sørøya Football League features the six clubs that used to take part in the Island Football Championship alongside six clubs which have formed over the past seven years. The two divisions are treated as being on top of the pyramid, and at the end of the season, all 12 clubs are entered into a single elimination tournament to crown the league champion.

O-LEAGUE : SEASON VIII : PART TWO

Matchday 10
Once again a big game promises much, but leads only to frustration. In this case, however, it's only for the home team as the Eagles get their wings well and truly clipped by Ousevale. Not that Stanton mind, of course, as they beat lowly Kallia to nip ahead of United and into third. The Emberton derby, meanwhile, is a low-key affair what with both sides being mid-table and all. For your information, the Royals come out victorious at Oxley Park.

Results:
New Cefn Albion 0-3 Mercia Bromham
Aigburth Athletic 0-0 AFC Linford
Royal Emberton 3-0 Emberton Reds
Stanton Town 1-0 Kallia United
Avidia United 1-4 Ousevale Borough
Bradwell Saints 1-1 Caledon Simpson
Avidia City 1-1 Casuals Osteria
Neathill 0-1 Beckton Supermarine
Leston Town 1-0 Ashton Olympic

KFA Cup XIX: First Round
Now we're talking. The fifty-four O-League clubs descend on the competition, with effects ranging from the awesome to the awful. Premier Division Beckton, famed for their giant-killing exploits of the past, were put to the sword themselves by Thackworth; Neathill, too, continued their miserable season by losing to Oustia. Avidia City found themselves on the wrong end of a defeat to NSE Kovenham, relegated last season from the top flight, and the only all-Premier tie of the round saw Ashton no match for Ousevale Borough.

Spare a thought, though, for two teams for whom it all went south. Buyon of the Alliance League found themselves on the wrong end of an eight-nil tonking in front of their own fans, whilst Caversham did well to push the Reds to extra time...at which point they promptly conceded four.

Results:
Middleton 1-2 Leston Town
Thackworth Rovers 1-0 Beckton Supermarine
Wylon United 2-3 Sandwell Rangers
Dereapolis City 0-3 Royal Emberton
Buyon 0-8 Hastings County
Stratford Rovers 0-5 Avidia United
Mercia Bromham 4-0 CF Avides
Sladehill Rovers 1-1 Camberley Town (2-1 AET)
Nenbridge 2-1 Faversham Town
Challenger 0-1 Club Francophone
Oustia 2-0 Neathill
Emberton Reds 1-1 Caversham (5-1 AET)
Avidia City 0-1 NSE Kovenham
Casuals Osteria 5-0 Secklow
Kallia United 0-0 Bletcham Devils (1-0 AET)
Ellisham 0-3 New Cefn Albion
Caledon Simpson 2-0 Shruton Town
Penniton United 1-1 Walton City (1-2 AET)
Hoxton 1-1 Aylesford (2-1 AET)
AFC Linford 1-0 East Green Phoenix
Ousevale Juniors 3-0 Wroxham Trinity
Huntsford 2-0 Zoderby United
Bromham City 0-3 Notegia Rangers
Ashton Olympic 0-3 Ousevale Borough
Aigburth Athletic 2-0 Locomotive Wolverton
Adanac City 3-1 Porthscadoch
Prutton 1-1 Westleigh Athletic (2-2 AET, 4-1 PKs)
Noton United 2-2 Norton (2-2 AET, 1-3 PKs)
Walton Park 1-2 Stanton Town
Dynamo Gravea 1-1 Quinton City (1-1 AET, 2-1 PKs)
Oldbrook 2-3 Bradwell Saints
Yardley Forest 0-3 Foxchester Rovers

Matchday 11
Ousevale Borough one, Avidia City...six???

Oh boy. The red side of the Second City aren't going to shut up about this one. Hell, it even reduced Mercia's nine-nil humiliation of hapless Aigburth to "in other news". Elsewhere, Avidia United slip to seventh...a mere point ahead of the Tiger-Slayers™.

Results:
Mercia Bromham 9-0 Aigburth Athletic
New Cefn Albion 1-3 Royal Emberton
AFC Linford 2-2 Stanton Town
Emberton Reds 2-1 Avidia United
Kallia United 1-2 Bradwell Saints
Ousevale Borough 1-6 Avidia City
Caledon Simpson 3-0 Neathill

Beckton Supermarine 2-1 Ashton Olympic

...and Season Eight is officially "up the wahzoo". Leaders Mercia score three at the Isserson; unfortunately they concede seven, and Ousevale take back top spot with a win over Leston. Stanton, meanwhile, continue their fantastic start to the season as a win over Aigburth keeps them behind the Midlanders only on goal difference. Three guesses who their next opponents are.

Results:
Royal Emberton 7-3 Mercia Bromham
Stanton Town 2-0 Aigburth Athletic
Avidia United 2-0 New Cefn Albion
Bradwell Saints 1-0 AFC Linford
Avidia City 0-3 Emberton Reds
Neathill 0-1 Kallia United
Leston Town 0-3 Ousevale Borough
Ashton Olympic 0-0 Caledon Simpson
Beckton Supermarine 1-2 Casuals Osteria

Matchday 13
Beckton, you cheeky buggers. Cesar Ardelean tears himself away from the adult literature long enough to secure a point for the Mariners against Ousevale, and it's Mercia who go top by breaking Stanton hearts...for a week, anyway. Casuals' victory over Caledon Simpson, meanwhile, catapults them into third.

Results:
Mercia Bromham 2-0 Stanton Town
Royal Emberton 0-2 Avidia United
Aigburth Athletic 0-1 Bradwell Saints
New Cefn Albion 5-1 Avidia City
AFC Linford 1-1 Neathill
Emberton Reds 6-0 Leston Town
Kallia United 0-2 Ashton Olympic
Ousevale Borough 1-1 Beckton Supermarine
Caledon Simpson 1-3 Casuals Osteria

Matchday 14
The game of Mercian cat and mouse continues at the top. Mercia are well beaten by Avidia United, and Ousevale put Caledon to the sword to take back top spot. Casuals, meanwhile, implode against Kallia - a shame, really, as a win would have put them second rather than fifth.

Results:
Avidia United 3-1 Mercia Bromham
Bradwell Saints 0-1 Stanton Town
Avidia City 0-0 Royal Emberton
Neathill 1-0 Aigburth Athletic
Leston Town 0-2 New Cefn Albion
Ashton Olympic 1-0 AFC Linford
Beckton Supermarine 0-3 Emberton Reds
Casuals Osteria 1-2 Kallia United
Caledon Simpson 2-5 Ousevale Borough

Matchday 15
It's Ousevale's turn to get on the wrong side of Kallia...and yet, despite beating Casuals and the Tigers in successive weeks, they're still in the bottom half. Mercia go top again after hammering Bradwell, and Stanton remain third with a win over Neathill. With the top three all level on points, Avidia United only one behind, and Casuals just one behind them, this is shaping up to be a slugfest at the top. Game on!

Results:
Mercia Bromham 4-1 Bradwell Saints
Avidia United 3-0 Avidia City
Stanton Town 2-0 Neathill
Royal Emberton 1-1 Leston Town
Aigburth Athletic 2-1 Ashton Olympic
New Cefn Albion 0-0 Beckton Supermarine
AFC Linford 1-2 Casuals Osteria
Emberton Reds 0-2 Caledon Simpson
Kallia United 1-0 Ousevale Borough

KFA Cup XIX: Second Round
And the hits keep on coming. Leston Town are undone by the shootout against Hastings; Emberton Reds, meanwhile, are undone in regulation by Norton. Elsewhere, Avidia United's reign as holders is ended by New Cefn, Ousevale squeak through against Oustia, and Thackworth's reward for beating Beckton is to get their backsides handed to them at Oxley Park.

Results:
Mercia Bromham 2-0 NSE Kovenham
Huntsford 1-4 Kallia United
Ousevale Juniors 2-0 Adanac City
Norton 1-0 Emberton Reds
Stanton Town 4-0 Hoxton
Caledon Simpson 1-0 Club Francophone
Royal Emberton 6-0 Thackworth Rovers
Oustia 1-2 Ousevale Borough
Sladehill Rovers 0-0 Notegia Rangers (0-0 AET, 4-3 PKs)
Foxchester Rovers 1-2 Walton City
Casuals Osteria 2-0 Bradwell Saints
Avidia United 1-2 New Cefn Albion
Sandwell Rangers 1-2 Prutton
Dynamo Gravea 0-1 AFC Linford
Nenbridge 0-3 Aigburth Athletic
Leston Town 0-0 Hastings County (0-0 AET, 1-2 PKs)

Matchday 16
Stanton are the first to blink (thanks, Ashton!) and with the rest of the top five winning, that's the Dockers into fifth. Mercia's narrow win over Avidia City keeps them top, but the goal difference is severely eaten into as Ousevale purée the Linford defence.

Results:
Avidia City 0-1 Mercia Bromham
Neathill 3-3 Bradwell Saints
Leston Town 2-3 Avidia United
Ashton Olympic 1-0 Stanton Town
Beckton Supermarine 2-2 Royal Emberton
Casuals Osteria 2-0 Aigburth Athletic
Caledon Simpson 2-3 New Cefn Albion
Ousevale Borough 6-0 AFC Linford
Kallia United 0-2 Emberton Reds

Matchday 17
Four become three as Stanton and Casuals draw with each other; not only does this allow the Big Three to pull away (oddly, the top three played the bottom three in order), but Emberton Reds are now well into the mix of what looks likely to be a three-way scrap for fourth and fifth. At the bottom, meanwhile, Neathill are doing so badly that one bookmakers have stopped taking bets on them being in Division One come next season.

Results:
Mercia Bromham 3-0 Neathill
Avidia City 1-0 Leston Town
Bradwell Saints 1-0 Ashton Olympic
Avidia United 4-1 Beckton Supermarine
Stanton Town 2-2 Casuals Osteria
Royal Emberton 2-1 Caledon Simpson
Aigburth Athletic 0-2 Ousevale Borough
New Cefn Albion 1-1 Kallia United
AFC Linford 1-3 Emberton Reds

The Workshop - 35,992 (Islay)

The home of Islay Town Mechanical, The Workshop, is one the most feared stadiums for opposition teams to visit in the nation. With steep seating, and four imposing stands, the crowd create a tremendous noise, and as the southernmost Divisjon One stadium, temperatures will be absolutely within normal tolerance ranges for most visitors, reaching a balmy 15°C in summer. The stadium is built on the site of the old warehouses of the industrial district of Islay, the patrons and employees of which were the sides first amateur players, giving the team their name. The brick construction is now in the centre of the town, as the state joined the Federation and the built area expanded, and the stadium and the Mechanics, as the team is affectionately known, is at the centre of the Islay life. The brick construction create an intimidating atmosphere, acoustics reaching deafening levels sometimes, and this all mod-cons stadium would delight at the opportunity to host the final.

Matchday Ten
Paper Tree Town 2–0 Iton Valley FC
Real Jraxville 1–0 Real Rajahara
Burningham City 4–0 Junipa Athletic
Hastmead Diamante 2–1 Warton Villa
Arcaea County 1–0 Trelagstad FC
Greeningham City 0–2 Firewood City
Utica United 2–2 Trothwands Evolution
Grasshoppers Turic 3–1 Callisto City
FC United of Dynapolis 1–0 Cymrwell FC
Violia FC 2–2 AFC Hollybrent

Firewood's victory over Greeningham seperated the two at the top, and lowered the hype over Greeningham's midfield "dynamic duo". Reinaldo Gonzalez was subjected to abuse at his every touch by the travelling fans, though they were largely drowned out by the cheers of the home crowd. His inability to exert his influence on the game will have pleased fans of the Fire, though. At the other end of the table, Cymrwell's poor form continued, fuelling rumours that club captain Katherine Holland might want out. Violia's draw with Hollybrent and Warton Villa's valiant, yet ultimately insufficient effort against Hastmead meant that the bottom three remained winless through ten games.

Matchday Eleven
AFC Hollybrent 2–1 Paper Tree Town
Cymrwell FC 5–1 Violia FC
Callisto City 3–2 FC United of Dynapolis
Trothwands Evolution 1–1 Grasshoppers Turic
Firewood City 2–3 Utica United
Trelagstad FC 3–2 Greeningham City
Warton Villa 2–1 Arcaea County
Junipa Athletic 2–1 Hastmead Diamante
Real Rajahara 0–3 Burningham City
Iton Valley FC 0–1 Real Jraxville

With Greeningham and Firewood both losing, and Turic having to settle for a draw, Real Jraxville recorded a narrow win at Ocean Towers to take them top of the King's League table for the first time ever. Cymrwell, Hollybrent and Warton Villa all recorded their first wins of the season; Cymrwell's in spectacular fashion, a 5-1 thrashing of Violia FC.

Matchday Twelve
Paper Tree Town 4–2 Real Jraxville
Burningham City 2–0 Iton Valley FC
Hastmead Diamante 2–0 Real Rajahara
Arcaea County 1–2 Junipa Athletic
Greeningham City 1–0 Warton Villa
Utica United 9–4 Trelagstad FC
Grasshoppers Turic 0–3 Firewood City
FC United of Dynapolis 2–4 Trothwands Evolution
Violia FC 0–1 Callisto City
AFC Hollybrent 3–0 Cymrwell FC

The four pre-season front-runners for the league championship all picked up wins this week, with Utica's 9-4 result over Trelagstad ranking as the joint highest scoring King's League match of all-time. At the other end of the table, Hollybrent's convincing win over Cymrwell catapulted the Applegrass side out of the relegation zone, and eased some of the pressure on Yannic Yokum.

Matchday Thirteen
Cymrwell FC 0–0 Paper Tree Town
Callisto City 5–3 AFC Hollybrent
Trothwands Evolution 2–0 Violia FC
Firewood City 4–2 FC United of Dynapolis
Trelagstad FC 1–2 Grasshoppers Turic
Warton Villa 0–4 Utica United
Junipa Athletic 1–2 Greeningham City
Real Rajahara 1–2 Arcaea County

Matchday Fifteen

Matchday Sixteen

Arcaea County 0–1 Burningham City
Greeningham City 3–1 Real Jraxville

FC United of Dynapolis 4–2 Junipa Athletic
Violia FC 3–3 Warton Villa
AFC Hollybrent 3–2 Trelagstad FC
Cymrwell FC 2–1 Firewood City
Callisto City 3–3 Trothwands Evolution

Matchday Seventeen
Trothwands Evolution 1–1 Paper Tree Town
Firewood City 1–1 Callisto City
Trelagstad FC 2–0 Cymrwell FC
Warton Villa 0–0 AFC Hollybrent
Junipa Athletic 2–1 Violia FC
Real Rajahara 3–2 FC United of Dynapolis
Iton Valley FC 4–5 Grasshoppers Turic
Real Jraxville 0–2 Utica United
Burningham City 2–3 Greeningham City
Hastmead Diamante 2–2 Arcaea County

Matchday Eighteen
Paper Tree Town 0–1 Arcaea County
Greeningham City 1–2 Hastmead Diamante
Utica United 1–4 Burningham City
Grasshoppers Turic 1–0 Real Jraxville
FC United of Dynapolis 2–1 Iton Valley FC
Violia FC 2–2 Real Rajahara
AFC Hollybrent 3–3 Junipa Athletic
Cymrwell FC 3–3 Warton Villa
Callisto City 3–3 Trelagstad FC
Trothwands Evolution 1–0 Firewood City

Three six-goal draws, a surprising crush match between title challengers, and a revival of an old grudge. Business as usual, isn't it? The main talking points were predictably Burningham's convincing 4-1 win over title-chasing Utica, and Trothwands Evolution's shock win over Firewood City in the Terrordome.

Matchday Nineteen
Firewood City 3–4 Paper Tree Town
Trelagstad FC 4–3 Trothwands Evolution
Warton Villa 4–3 Callisto City
Junipa Athletic 0–0 Cymrwell FC
Real Rajahara 2–0 AFC Hollybrent
Iton Valley FC 1–1 Violia FC
Real Jraxville 0–1 FC United of Dynapolis
Burningham City 4–2 Grasshoppers Turic
Hastmead Diamante 1–2 Utica United
Arcaea County 0–1 Greeningham City

Paper Tree Town's 4-3 win over Firewood in The Cauldron compounded the misery in Fourge, where they had not yet recovered from their rivalry defeat in Trothwands, and had now gone four weeks without a win. It also underlined the openness of the championship race this season. Utica beating Hastmead was another surprise, leaving Amandeep Sahota's men nine points off the pace, and looking less and less like title challengers. Warton Villa's 4-3 win over Callisto gave them renewed hope, despite their precarious position, while Cymrwell's Michael N'Diaye is said to be facing the sack if his side loses next week.

Reigning champions in fifth place? Last year's runners up in eighth? Teams projected to challenge for UICA berths languishing in a relegation battle? Surprises all over the place in the King's League. But then, when you consider that the top eight teams are seperated only by nine points at the halfway stage, and the bottom eight are seperated by only ten points... its not so surprising. The increased competitiveness in the league doesn't necessarily represent the "reasonable degree of parity" the OFA are said to be seeking, but it does lend weight to the notion that the King's League could perhaps command far more interest overseas, and as a result, greater broadcasting revenue and an increased level of talent.

O-LEAGUE : SEASON VIII : PART THREE

Matchday 18
They may have slipped behind a bit in the title race, but Stanton Town are still making waves at the business end of the table. Their win at the Southern Arena played into the hands of Mercia, who got the better of Leston to go a point clear at the top of the table. It's Avidia United leading the chasing pack, leapfrogging the Tigers with a comfortable win in Simpson.

Results:
Leston Town 0-3 Mercia Bromham
Ashton Olympic 1-0 Neathill
Beckton Supermarine 4-2 Avidia City
Casuals Osteria 3-1 Bradwell Saints
Caledon Simpson 1-4 Avidia United
Ousevale Borough 2-4 Stanton Town
Kallia United 2-5 Royal Emberton
Emberton Reds 1-3 Aigburth Athletic
AFC Linford 0-2 New Cefn Albion

Matchday 19
Football. Bloody hell!

Ashton put up a - dare we say it? - Olympian effort to get a point from the Cygnus, and the Eagles swoop in on their prey, tearing apart Kallia and going top by a point. Keeping the pressure up are Ousevale, who beat Bradwell, and Casuals, still only three points off the top after beating the hopeless Neathill at the QES.

Results:
Mercia Bromham 0-0 Ashton Olympic
Leston Town 1-0 Beckton Supermarine
Neathill 0-2 Casuals Osteria
Avidia City 0-1 Caledon Simpson
Bradwell Saints 0-3 Ousevale Borough
Avidia United 4-0 Kallia United
Stanton Town 1-1 Emberton Reds
Royal Emberton 1-0 AFC Linford
Aigburth Athletic 0-1 New Cefn Albion

Matchday 20
So, turns out the "bloody hell" epithet was a week early. Leaders Avidia United are held by strugglers Linford, Mercia conspire to lose at Orange Street of all places...and Ousevale's six-nil hammering of Neathill (who else?) is just enough for them to take top spot on goal difference. Casuals, meanwhile, tiptoe the minefield against Ashton to go third, a single point off top spot.

Results:
Beckton Supermarine 4-2 Mercia Bromham
Casuals Osteria 1-0 Ashton Olympic
Caledon Simpson 2-0 Leston Town
Ousevale Borough 6-0 Neathill
Kallia United 0-0 Avidia City
Emberton Reds 3-0 Bradwell Saints
AFC Linford 1-1 Avidia United
New Cefn Albion 2-1 Stanton Town
Aigburth Athletic 0-3 Royal Emberton

KFA Cup XIX: Third Round
There's no doubt who the stars of the round are. Take a bow, Prutton; the Second Division side sensationally knocking out Linford on their own patch. Walton City, a division higher, also got in on the slaying with a win at home to New Cefn, whilst the tie of the round was undoubtedly at the Harbour Stadium, where Stanton Town and Ousevale Borough shared six goals in regulation, with George Wilson grabbing the all-important winner in the extra thirty.

Results:
Royal Emberton 1-0 Aigburth Athletic
Stanton Town 3-3 Ousevale Borough (3-4 AET)
Ousevale Juniors 0-2 Mercia Bromham
Hastings County 0-1 Casuals Osteria
Walton City 1-0 New Cefn Albion
AFC Linford 0-1 Prutton
Norton 3-0 Sladehill Rovers
Caledon Simpson 1-1 Kallia United (3-1 AET)

Matchday 21
Ousevale and Avidia trade wins at the top of the table, but the big game is between third-placed Casuals and fourth-placed Mercia at the Cygnus. It's the Midlanders who come out on top, and this could be the week that a four horse race is whittled down to three. At the bottom, meanwhile, Neathill's loss to Emberton Reds means that their points total is still in single figures. Remind us again how they stayed up last season?

Results:
Mercia Bromham 4-2 Casuals Osteria
Beckton Supermarine 0-1 Caledon Simpson
Ashton Olympic 0-3 Ousevale Borough
Leston Town 1-3 Kallia United
Neathill 0-1 Emberton Reds
Avidia City 1-0 AFC Linford
Bradwell Saints 0-1 New Cefn Albion
Avidia United 2-1 Aigburth Athletic
Stanton Town 2-1 Royal Emberton

Matchday 22
Advantage Eagles. Casuals take two points off Ousevale, Mercia slip up against Caledon, and Avidia United's win over Stanton gives them a two-point cushion. Don't expect this one to be over yet, though; this season has a penchant for the unpredictable.

Results:
Caledon Simpson 1-1 Mercia Bromham
Ousevale Borough 2-2 Casuals Osteria
Kallia United 3-0 Beckton Supermarine
Emberton Reds 2-3 Ashton Olympic
AFC Linford 3-1 Leston Town
New Cefn Albion 1-0 Neathill
Aigburth Athletic 2-2 Avidia City
Royal Emberton 1-0 Bradwell Saints
Stanton Town 0-2 Avidia United

Matchday 23
It's that time of the season again, as the Mercian Classico rolls around; there's goals in this one too, as Bromham and Ousevale muster three apiece. The result suits Avidia United down to the ground as they put six past Bradwell; okay, so they concede four into the bargain, but three points are three points, and the gap is up to four.

Matchday 24
It's make or break time as the season enters its last ten weeks. Casuals, though, are well and truly broken, and a poor run of form has seen them slip to sixth. New Cefn are the latest to twist the knife.

Making it, though, are Avidia United, now six clear after beating "Nine Points" Neathill, and Mercia, whose win over Kallia lifts them into second place. Royal Emberton, too, are finishing strongly, up to fourth after clobbering Ashton.

Results:
Kallia United 2-3 Mercia Bromham
Emberton Reds 1-1 Ousevale Borough
AFC Linford 1-2 Caledon Simpson
New Cefn Albion 0-0 Casuals Osteria
Aigburth Athletic 0-1 Beckton Supermarine
Royal Emberton 4-0 Ashton Olympic
Stanton Town 1-0 Leston Town
Avidia United 1-0 Neathill
Bradwell Saints 1-0 Avidia City

Matchday 25
Casuals may be struggling, but they're dragging everyone down with them; their draw against the Royals is enough for Stanton to continue punching above their weight, taking fourth place. They'll still have a mountain to climb to get any higher, though, as the top three all win (though only just, in Ousevale's case).

At the bottom, meanwhile, Neathill draw with Avidia City, and reach the promised land of ten points. Putting this in perspective, though, is the fact that they're thirteen from safety.

Results:
Mercia Bromham 4-1 Emberton Reds
Kallia United 2-2 AFC Linford
Ousevale Borough 2-1 New Cefn Albion
Caledon Simpson 0-0 Aigburth Athletic
Casuals Osteria 1-1 Royal Emberton
Beckton Supermarine 1-3 Stanton Town
Ashton Olympic 1-6 Avidia United
Leston Town 2-1 Bradwell Saints
Neathill 1-1 Avidia City

KFA Cup XIX: Quarter-Finals
Well, that's it. It's all over for the teams from outside the Premier for another season, though some more bravely than others. Prutton gave a great account of themselves at home to Mercia, but in the end it was all too much, and a late Robert Allen goal broke their hearts. Norton, too, battled with distinction, but could not progress past a resolute Caledon side. Spare a thought, though, for poor Walton City, who were the victims of the most one-sided quarter-final in KFA Cup history.

Results:
Ousevale Borough 7-1 Walton City
Casuals Osteria 3-2 Royal Emberton
Norton 0-2 Caledon Simpson
Prutton 0-1 Mercia Bromham

Matchday 26
There's no change to the top four, as Avidia United, Mercia, Ousevale, and Stanton all win, but there are repercussions below the surface. Ousevale's win over the Royals gives Stanton a five-point cushion for fourth, and the Reds crash sixth thanks to Casuals' defeat to leaders Avidia. Neathill, meanwhile, draw with Leston; one point down, twelve to go.

Results:
AFC Linford 3-4 Mercia Bromham
New Cefn Albion 1-3 Emberton Reds
Aigburth Athletic 1-1 Kallia United
Royal Emberton 1-2 Ousevale Borough
Stanton Town 3-2 Caledon Simpson
Avidia United 3-0 Casuals Osteria

Avidia City 1-0 Ashton Olympic
Neathill 0-0 Leston Town

O-LEAGUE : SEASON VIII : PART FOUR

Matchday 27
This is almost disappointing, now. Having looked like the season was going to go to the wire, and between a whold bunch of teams, for so long, it seems Avidia United have a stranglehold on the league that they're not likely to loosen any time soon. The Eagles went to Ousevale, went nap, went home, and kept their six point lead. At least Mercia won, though, to keep things at least slightly interesting.

Results:
Mercia Bromham 4-1 New Cefn Albion
AFC Linford 1-3 Aigburth Athletic
Emberton Reds 0-0 Royal Emberton
Kallia United 1-2 Stanton Town
Ousevale Borough 0-5 Avidia United
Caledon Simpson 0-3 Bradwell Saints
Casuals Osteria 5-2 Avidia City
Beckton Supermarine 1-0 Neathill
Ashton Olympic 1-0 Leston Town

Matchday 28
Maybe I spoke to soon. Maybe.

Avidia United are held at home by the Reds, and with Mercia putting Aigburth to he sword, the gap is at four points. Elsewhere, Ousevale beat Avidia City, and Stanton did a number on Linford, as both sides keep their slim title hopes boiling over for another week.

Results:
Aigburth Athletic 0-5 Mercia Bromham
Royal Emberton 2-2 New Cefn Albion
Stanton Town 4-1 AFC Linford
Avidia United 1-1 Emberton Reds
Bradwell Saints 2-2 Kallia United
Avidia City 1-4 Ousevale Borough
Neathill 1-1 Caledon Simpson
Leston Town 1-3 Casuals Osteria
Ashton Olympic 1-0 Beckton Supermarine

Matchday 29
Someone get the sky blue and navy ribbons out of storage; this one's Avidia's. They kept the three pointers ticking over with a win over New Cefn, whereas Mercia were busy getting themselves a good hiding from Royal Emberton. The race is now for the second Champions' Cup spot, with Mercia and Ousevale both on 61 points, and Stanton on sixty.

Results:
Mercia Bromham 1-5 Royal Emberton
Aigburth Athletic 1-3 Stanton Town
New Cefn Albion 0-1 Avidia United
AFC Linford 0-2 Bradwell Saints
Emberton Reds 1-0 Avidia City
Kallia United 0-1 Neathill
Ousevale Borough 2-1 Leston Town
Caledon Simpson 1-0 Ashton Olympic
Casuals Osteria 2-0 Beckton Supermarine

Matchday 30
Rumours of the season's demise have been greatly exaggerated. Avidia United decide now is a good time to drop points, losing at home to the Royals, and Ousevale squeak past Beckton to drop the gap to four points. They're not the only ones, either. Stanton beat Mercia in the big game at the Harbour Stadium, and they're up to third.

Results:
Stanton Town 3-2 Mercia Bromham
Avidia United 0-1 Royal Emberton
Bradwell Saints 3-1 Aigburth Athletic
Avidia City 1-1 New Cefn Albion
Neathill 0-0 AFC Linford
Leston Town 0-2 Emberton Reds
Ashton Olympic 0-0 Kallia United
Beckton Supermarine 0-1 Ousevale Borough
Casuals Osteria 2-0 Caledon Simpson

KFA Cup XIX: Semi-Finals
To Abbia Mersa, then, for the last four of this year's KFA Cup...and, if we're honest, a couple of disappointing games. Caledon never looked at the races in Saturday's game in Stanton, Mercia's alarming slump continued in Bradwell, and we have Tigers and Miners figting tooth and nail (or should that be tooth and pickaxe?) in the final.

Results:
Ousevale Borough 4-0 Caledon Simpson (Harbour Stadium, Stanton)
Casuals Osteria 2-0 Mercia Bromham (Abbey Road, Bradwell)

Matchday 31
Having lost to them in the Cup last weekend, you'd have thought Caledon would have learned a few lessons on how to contain Ousevale. Apparently, though, they did not. The tigers ran roughshod over the hapless Caleys, winning eight-one, and with Mercia holding United and Stanton only mustering a draw in the Abbia Mersa Derby, it's Game On once again.

At the bottom, meanwhile, Neathill beat Aigburth and go on to nineteen points, a mere five from safety. Looks like the fat lady's waiting in the wings just that little bit longer.

Results:
Mercia Bromham 0-0 Avidia United
Stanton Town 1-1 Bradwell Saints
Royal Emberton 4-1 Avidia City
Aigburth Athletic 0-1 Neathill
New Cefn Albion 2-0 Leston Town
AFC Linford 1-3 Ashton Olympic
Emberton Reds 0-1 Beckton Supermarine
Kallia United 0-5 Casuals Osteria
Ousevale Borough 8-1 Caledon Simpson

Matchday 32
It's all over for Neathill. Their awful start to the season proved too much of a mountain to climb, and defeat to high-flying Stanton secured their relegation with two games to go. The Avidia derby went as you'd expect - so much for City being a thorn in the side - and Mercia's surprise defeat to Bradwell allows Casuals to leapfrog them into fourth.

Results:
Bradwell Saints 3-0 Mercia Bromham
Avidia City 1-4 Avidia United
Neathill 0-2 Stanton Town - Neathill are relegated
Leston Town 1-1 Royal Emberton
Ashton Olympic 0-2 Aigburth Athletic
Beckton Supermarine 1-1 New Cefn Albion
Casuals Osteria 3-1 AFC Linford
Caledon Simpson 0-0 Emberton Reds
Ousevale Borough 3-1 Kallia United

Matchday 33
One game to go, then, and it's all to play for at the top and the bottom. Avidia United defeated Leston, but Ousevale's eight-one hammering of Linford means that any dropped points from the Eagles at Orange Street will see Ousevale take the title with a win. Both sides will be in the Champions' Cup next season, though, barring an epic meltdown from Ousevale and Stanton absolutely mullering Casuals. Speaking of Casuals, they're assured a Globe Cup spot alongside Stanton and Mercia.

At the bottom, Linford's capitulation sees them on their way to Division One next season, but Leston aren't out of it yet; they may have three points and eight goals to make up, but they're at home to Avidia City, whilst Aigburth have to travel to title-chasers Ousevale.

Results:
Mercia Bromham 3-0 Avidia City
Bradwell Saints 4-2 Neathill
Avidia United 2-1 Leston Town
Stanton Town 2-1 Ashton Olympic
Royal Emberton 0-1 Beckton Supermarine
Aigburth Athletic 2-2 Casuals Osteria
New Cefn Albion 0-1 Caledon Simpson
AFC Linford 1-8 Ousevale Borough - AFC Linford are relegated
Emberton Reds 2-1 Kallia United

Matchday 34
In the end, it was all to simple for Avidia. Beckton gave them a game, but the Eagles ground out the win they needed. Ousevale's six-one win over Aigburth, meanwhile, was doubly pointless, as Leston failed to get the win they needed to have a chance to stay up.

Results:
Neathill 0-2 Mercia Bromham
Leston Town 1-1 Avidia City - Leston Town are relegated
Ashton Olympic 2-3 Bradwell Saints
Beckton Supermarine 1-2 Avidia United - AVIDIA UNITED are champions
Casuals Osteria 2-1 Stanton Town
Caledon Simpson 2-3 Royal Emberton
Ousevale Borough 6-1 Aigburth Athletic
Kallia United 2-0 New Cefn Albion
Emberton Reds 0-0 AFC Linford

KFA Cup XIX Final (Isserson Stadium, Emberton)
At least some silverware's on its way to the Southern Arena this season. Formerio Iturralde may have scored a screamer, but it was sandwiched between two goals from the men in white, and Peter Southern lifted the trophy to cap a season of what might have been for the Tigers.

Casuals Osteria - 1 (Iturralde 66)
Ousevale Borough - 2 (Valrauncion 28, Safuro 81)

Whilst previously unknown to the world, organised football competition in Ancharmunn has been ongoing for fifteen seasons. There are two main competitions in the country, the fourteen team National Soccer League and the All-Ancharmunn Challenge Cup which sees thirty-two teams competing on a knockout basis. Whilst a Junior League, split into two regional divisions, exists below the NSL it is essentially a glorified Sunday League and no movement between the NSL and Junior League occurs. Junior League members do however participate in the Challenge Cup.

During its existence Charmunnry football has been largely amateur, however the recent influx of Sorthern immigration to the country has bought a degree of professionalism to the sport. As a result of this Charmunnry football is set to begin participating on a worldwide and regional scale by joining UICA and regional competitions.

Thus far Ballyfeeaknock has been the dominant force with sides from the capital having won twelve league titles and seven cups. Goidelic have thus far been the most successful club in the country with their six league titles in a row already having gone down in national folklore. Along with the two Ancharmunn competitions, the league champions take on the champions of the Aelsh Football Premier League in the pre-season Tyneala Championship. A further link between Aels and Ancharmunn is seen in Dinas Drefhil/Drayfill City, a club based in the Aelsh capital but playing in Charmunnry competitions.

Not unlike its counterpart in Ancharmunn, Aelsh football has largely been semi-professional through its short 20-year history. Although the league is older than the Charmunnry counterpart by 5 years, Aelsh football remains largely unknown, and the country does not have a national team. Drayfill City played in the league until 1074/5 before moving to the Charmunnry league system. The 1084/85 season was stopped early due to industrial action by players, who wanted better conditions and full semi-professionalisation of the league. The strike lasted into the 85/86 season.

The 14-team Football League of Aels is divided into two divisions, with a six-team Premier League and an eight-team Second League. There is no direct promotion or relegation between the divisions. Instead, the team finishing last in the Premier plays the team finishing first in the Second in a one-off playoff at the national Free Stone Stadium.

Aels' football association, the Football Commission of Aels, also govern Drayfill City (Dinas Drefhil), who play in the Ancharmunn league and cup system. Drayfill City still participate in the FCA Trophy, although an agreement with Ancharmunn means Drayfill City may only be nominated for international competition by Ancharmunn.

The domestic cup competition takes the form of two round-robin stages and a single final. Eight teams — the six top-flight teams, plus the highest-ranked Second League team (defending champions or last relegated from Premier), and Dinas Drefhil, compete in two groups of four, playing each other twice. The top two teams from each group then play each other a further once, with the combined table determining the final matchup. The final is always played at the Free Stone Stadium, home to Dinas Drefhil. Therefore, should the club ever make the final, a two-legged final is held.

Matchday Twenty
Paper Tree Town 0–0 Greeningham City
Arcaea County 4–6 Utica United
Hastmead Diamante 1–0 Grasshoppers Turic
Burningham City 2–0 FC United of Dynapolis
Real Jraxville 2–0 Violia FC
Iton Valley FC 0–1 AFC Hollybrent
Real Rajahara 1–0 Cymrwell FC
Junipa Athletic 3–3 Callisto City
Warton Villa 2–4 Trothwands Evolution
Trelagstad FC 1–4 Firewood City

Lea Carapetis' late goal at Ferro Stadium gave Real Rajahara a devastating win over Michael N'Diaye's struggling Cymrwell side, and that was enough for the board to swing their proverbial axe. Installed as caretaker manager was Mathieu Melia, the much-loved reserve team boss. Elsewhere, Junipa regained some pride in an entertaining six-goal draw with regional rivals Callisto City. Hastmead's win over Turic was an invaluable leg-up in the title race for the Fourgians, while Paper Tree Town played spoiler again, this time nullifying the frightening forward line of Greeningham City.

Matchday Twenty-One
Trelagstad FC 4–3 Paper Tree Town
Firewood City 3–2 Warton Villa
Trothwands Evolution 4–5 Junipa Athletic
Callisto City 4–4 Real Rajahara
Cymrwell FC 2–0 Iton Valley FC
AFC Hollybrent 0–2 Real Jraxville
Violia FC 2–3 Burningham City
FC United of Dynapolis 4–4 Hastmead Diamante
Grasshoppers Turic 5–2 Arcaea County
Utica United 2–4 Greeningham City

Melia's impact at Cymrwell turned out to be instant, as they picked up a valuable 2-0 win in his first game in charge. Callisto picked up a second successive high score-draw, their contest with Rajahara ending 4-4. The same scoreline occurred at The Dragon's Den, where FC United remarkably scored a draw with title chasing Hastmead Diamante. Paper Tree Town continued to break tradition, with another uncharacteristically high-scoring performance, despite ultimately losing, and Burningham City regained control at the top. Utica's stumble against Greeningham combined with Turic's crushing win over Arcaea to shake things up at the top all around.

Matchday Twenty-Two
Paper Tree Town 0–3 Utica United
Greeningham City 4–3 Grasshoppers Turic
Arcaea County 2–1 FC United of Dynapolis
Hastmead Diamante 1–1 Violia FC
Burningham City 3–0 AFC Hollybrent
Real Jraxville 2–0 Cymrwell FC
Iton Valley FC 1–0 Callisto City
Real Rajahara 5–2 Trothwands Evolution
Junipa Athletic 1–6 Firewood City
Warton Villa 5–3 Trelagstad FC

Hastmead slipped up again in their desperate chase to catch up with the front-runners, Burningham were clinical in their 3-0 win over Hollybrent at the Elishat, and Firewood sent a message with a devastating 6-1 away win over mid-table Junipa Athletic. Utica recovered from their setbacks with a strong offensive showing against a normally solid Paper Tree Town defence in a regional clash. Big surprise of the weekend was Rajahara's thrashing of a resurgent Trothwands Evolution. Trothwands were flattered by the scoreline, as they trailed 5-0 in the 80th minute before pulling back through a Kasim Shazad free kick, and a Daniel Watson penalty late in the game.

Matchday Twenty-Three
Warton Villa 2–2 Paper Tree Town
Trelagstad FC 4–1 Junipa Athletic
Firewood City 1–0 Real Rajahara
Trothwands Evolution 4–0 Iton Valley FC
Callisto City 1–0 Real Jraxville
Cymrwell FC 0–2 Burningham City
AFC Hollybrent 2–4 Hastmead Diamante
Violia FC 3–1 Arcaea County
FC United of Dynapolis 0–3 Greeningham City
Grasshoppers Turic 2–1 Utica United

Callisto's stellar home form -- and unforeseen, yet considerable, influence on the title race -- continued with a 1-0 win over Real Jraxville, that further complicated things at the top.

Matchday Twenty-Four
Paper Tree Town 0–1 Grasshoppers Turic
Utica United 2–0 FC United of Dynapolis
Greeningham City 1–0 Violia FC
Arcaea County 1–1 AFC Hollybrent
Hastmead Diamante 3–4 Cymrwell FC
Burningham City 1–1 Callisto City
Real Jraxville 4–0 Trothwands Evolution
Iton Valley FC 0–2 Firewood City
Real Rajahara 4–2 Trelagstad FC
Junipa Athletic 1–0 Warton Villa

Despite the two losses preceding this week, there were loud calls for Mathieu Melia to be offered the manager's position on a permanent basis as Cymrwell pulled off a remarkable upset at Black Patch Park. Callisto's impact on the title race continued as they earned a draw at the Elishat, allowing both Utica and Firewood to capitalise.

Matchday Twenty-Five
Junipa Athletic 3–1 Paper Tree Town
Warton Villa 6–2 Real Rajahara
Trelagstad FC 2–4 Iton Valley FC
Firewood City 2–1 Real Jraxville
Trothwands Evolution 0–0 Burningham City
Callisto City 1–2 Hastmead Diamante
Cymrwell FC 3–0 Arcaea County
AFC Hollybrent 1–1 Greeningham City
Violia FC 4–5 Utica United
FC United of Dynapolis 1–1 Grasshoppers Turic

Hastmead refused to allow Callisto exert their influence anymore, while Burningham's slide continued. With Utica and Firewood both recording wins this week -- the latter over pretenders Jraxville -- and Greeningham and Turic dropping points... the title race was starting to thin out. Elsewhere, Cymrwell's squad endorsed Melia with one of their best performances of the season.

Matchday Twenty-Six
Paper Tree Town 0–1 FC United of Dynapolis
Grasshoppers Turic 5–2 Violia FC
Utica United 3–2 AFC Hollybrent
Greeningham City 3–1 Cymrwell FC
Arcaea County 3–2 Callisto City
Hastmead Diamante 4–1 Trothwands Evolution
Burningham City 2–3 Firewood City
Real Jraxville 4–0 Trelagstad FC
Iton Valley FC 1–0 Warton Villa
Real Rajahara 0–1 Junipa Athletic

Turic kept themselves in with a chance by beating Violia, while Greeningham City kept themselves relevant in title discussions with a win over Cymrwell, who appointed Melia as manager despite the defeat, citing the team's impressive performance. Firewood City turned over Burningham at the Elishat in a superb matchup, while both Utica and Hastmead maintained their pressure.

Matchday Twenty-Seven
Real Rajahara 4–3 Paper Tree Town
Junipa Athletic 3–0 Iton Valley FC
Warton Villa 0–1 Real Jraxville
Trelagstad FC 3–0 Burningham City
Firewood City 3–3 Hastmead Diamante
Trothwands Evolution 2–1 Arcaea County
Callisto City 2–4 Greeningham City
Cymrwell FC 1–1 Utica United
AFC Hollybrent 3–4 Grasshoppers Turic
Violia FC 4–3 FC United of Dynapolis

Sir George Pennant was livid as his side threw away a chance to shake things up at the top yet again, suffering a humiliating 3-0 defeat at Trelland Road, while Firewood and Hastmead -- the two favourites for the title -- fought to a draw in The Cauldron. Warton Villa's already dire situation didn't improve after their unfortunate loss at the hands of Real Jraxville, but the board publicly gave Richard Deacon their full support. As ominous as that usually is.

Matchday Twenty-Eight
Paper Tree Town 2–0 Violia FC
FC United of Dynapolis 3–2 AFC Hollybrent
Grasshoppers Turic 1–0 Cymrwell FC
Utica United 2–1 Callisto City
Greeningham City 3–1 Trothwands Evolution
Arcaea County 1–3 Firewood City
Hastmead Diamante 3–2 Trelagstad FC
Burningham City 2–2 Warton Villa
Real Jraxville 0–2 Junipa Athletic
Iton Valley FC 1–0 Real Rajahara

Warton Villa, perhaps spurred on by the increasingly imminent threat of relegation and a desire to keep their manager in a job, put another significant dent in Burningham's hopes. With Utica, Firewood and Hastmead all winning, the course of the title appears to be changing. Greeningham and Turic are still in the mix, too, though.

Matchday Twenty-Nine
Iton Valley FC 1–0 Paper Tree Town
Real Rajahara 0–0 Real Jraxville
Junipa Athletic 2–0 Burningham City
Warton Villa 2–3 Hastmead Diamante
Trelagstad FC 2–2 Arcaea County
Firewood City 6–3 Greeningham City
Trothwands Evolution 2–5 Utica United
Callisto City 3–1 Grasshoppers Turic
Cymrwell FC 0–1 FC United of Dynapolis
AFC Hollybrent 2–1 Violia FC

Junipa Athletic and Callisto City represent Hearthlands with wins over Burningham and Turic respectively, which blow the title race wide open. Greeningham's horrific 3-6 defeat in The Cauldron, and Utica's convincing five goal haul against Trothwands see the two teams put a little daylight between themselves and everyone else at the top.

Rúben Contreras' greatest success in Utica lies in the way he has managed to instill a belief that the team should be winning. Previous leadership in Utica has focused heavily on development, to the detriment of that "winning mentality" that pervades clubs like Burningham and Firewood. Seeing his team atop the King's League title with just nine weeks left comes as no surprise to those within the club, though everyone else remarks on a job well done. Amandeep Sahota, the media's favourite previously, appears to be facing much larger degrees of criticism than ever before as his side trails in the title race, however.

Sir George Pennant's suggestions that this might be his final season in management shocked Burningham prior to the season's start, but with his side's (relative) struggles this term, perhaps a change is what is needed at the Mount Crown club after almost half a century under the legendary boss. It's hard to imagine many candidates putting their names forward, though, given the size of the shoes they would need to fill. Some "enlightened" Burningham fans have touted Elissa Barca-Carthy, and it could work, if she can win over the many egos in the Burningham dressing room, but most likely, the club will have to look abroad for an established name.

Perhaps the most surprising aspect of the season so far though, concerns the relegation dogfight. Seeing Cymrwell, Hollybrent and Violia entrenched in a fight for survival -- and generally losing -- is almost certainly a shock to many. Despite Violia's erratic manager, nobody expected them to be struggling so noticeably in defence. Yannic Yokum's short-lived tenure in Hollybrent may well come to an end if he doesn't figure out the problem at the Applegrass club, too. Whereas N'Diaye's sacking was inevitable given the struggles Cymrwell were facing. Mathieu Melia is doing a good job keeping the fighting spirit alive at the Dynapolis club, but the change appears to have come too late to make a decisive impact on their fortunes this season.
