Gordonopia Premier League
Gordonopia Cup First Round

Big games bring big surprises. Although the number one and four ranked teams in the Gordonopia Cup, FC Deska and Kaje Football, have won their games to move on to the semi-finals, both number two Plains and number three Gordonopia FC were knocked out in close matches.

FC Deska, the regular season champion, emerged victorious from its match with Fusba United thanks to incredible goaltending by Golden Boot winner Ludwig Strauss and a 41st minute head-in by forward Martin Mallorn. Although Fusba managed two shots on goal, FC Deska's defense and midfield helped ensure that the first-seed maintained possession for the majority of the game.

Kaje Football played a fast-paced 3-1 victory over Reichsburg, allowing them to move on to face FC Deska in the semi-finals. Lead by Golden Boot winner Jere Tobias, who earned a goal and an assist, Kaje came out strong in the first half, scoring two goals in thirty minutes, and keeping Reichsburg off the board. In the second half, Reichsburg had what seemed like a potential comeback when midfielder Davis Rogers scored in the 51st minute, but Kaje's victory was sealed in the 88th minute with a Tobias assisted goal from defender Roy Jeffries.

West Tolten, sixth ranked team from the regular season and winner of the last Gordonopia Cup before the War of Succession, shocked a crowd in Gordonopia City with a 2-1 victory over Gordonopia FC. For what seemed like the entire game, Gordonopia FC appeared the dominant team, with a goal in the 9th minute and possession for 62% of the game. In stoppage, however, the heavy favorites fell apart, allowing first a goal from West Tolten forward James Royce as the three minutes of injury time were announced, and then a second goal, again by Royce, two minutes in.

Finally, the Kjeldor Knights came out on top in a goal-heavy 4-3 win over regular-season runner-up Plains. Throughout the game, neither team managed to maintain the lead for any considerable amount of time, and it wasn't until an 88th minute goal by Kjeldor forward Hugh Lawrence gave Kjeldor the game-winning score. The game nearly went into AET, however, as Plains Dominique Mann made an unopposed dash for the goal, only to have the tying shot tipped away by Kjeldor goalie Richard Duncan. The Knights will now face West Tolten in the semi-finals.

In other news, Al-Kharid's quest to prevent relegation has fallen short following a devastating loss by one in AET. Although they managed to escape automatic relegation in the final week, they were still required to face the runner-up of the second tier Inter-League Cup to determine which team would play in the GPL next season. They will be replaced by Bolsom Sport, champions of the Key League, who will be joined by the winner of the Inter-League Cup and the Northern League, Willingham AC, which will take the place of Tolven.

Gordonopia Cup First Round
FC Deska 1–0 Fusba United
Kaje Football 3–1 Reichsburg FC
Gordonopia FC 1–2 West Tolten
Plains 3–4 Kjeldor Knights

Relegation Match
Al-Kharid 1–1 Bolsom Sport (2–3 AET)

Knockout Phase

First knockout round
(CAF) Petardos S/A 1–5 Iturributa United (ASG) 0–3 1–2
(PIS) FC Cape St Paul 3–5 Fontvielle Impact (VLD) 3–2 0–3
(COM) Árgos LP 4–4 a Firewood City (OSR) 2–4 2–0
(ZRB) Pyramid AC 4–2 Raynor City United (VAL) 2–1 2–1
(VLD) Metropolis Alligators 3–1 Ousevale Borough (KRY) 0–1 3–0
(PIS) East Franz Athletic 3–2 CA Condadore (AGU) 1–1 2–1
(CAF) SC Lasft 3–5 AS Bezieres (VLD) 3–2 0–3
(VAL) Mar Sara FC 1–3 Yuba United (COM) 0–1 1–2

Quarterfinals
(VLD) Fontvielle Impact 6–2 Metropolis Alligators (VLD) 4–1 2–1
(COM) Yuba United p 1–1 AS Bezieres (VLD) 0–1 1–0 (3–1 pen)
(OSR) Firewood City 3–3 p Pyramid AC (ZRB) 2–1 1–2 (1–3 pen)
(PIS) East Franz Athletic 1–3 Iturributa United (ASG) 1–1 0–2

Semifinals
(ASG) Iturributa United 2–1 Fontvielle Impact (VLD) 1–0 1–1
(COM) Yuba United 5–1 Pyramid AC (ZRB) 3–0 2–1

A nervy affair at the Stade de la Frontière sees Iturributa United through as the first Astograthian club to reach a UICA final, ending both East Franz Athletic’s title defense and Fontvielle Impact’s hopes of being the second club (after Cafundó do Juta) to play in club football’s ultimate match three times in four seasons. There was little doubt going into the second leg as to who their opponents would be; with both Yuba United and Pyramid AC coming into the semifinal tie off of dramatic penalty shootouts, the Élite League runners-up thumped the Zarblese champions 3–0 at Alesanka Park to effectively ensure the Silver-Blues’ participation in their tenth Champions’ Cup final. Estadio Unión de Ciudagua will provide the setting for a meeting of two clubs with very different pedigrees—Iturributa United had reached the group stage only once prior to this season, while no Champions’ Cup group phase has ever gone ahead without the presence of a certain club from northern Bedistan. The latter hope to win the current trophy for the first time, having taken permanent possession of the original after their fifth title, and could spare UICA the expense of a handover ceremony by delivering it to Alesanka Park ahead of next season’s final.

Upon recent creation of the Northern Sunrise Islands Republic, nation's top (and only) newspaper "The Northern Sunrise Island Times" suggested that the NSIFC started to do something with the money given to them instead of only developing a small number of youngsters for a possible World Cup (and some last places as well). With that on mind, the Confederation started the "Northern Sunrise Islands" Sunrising League, a 16-team league made basically of nation young ones that want to give the country some glory aside from the generic image of some forgotten, inhospitable islands in the north. With that on mind, here we start with the teams.

"We know that there is very little possibility that a small country like ours create a new Simeone Di Bradini in years. But we do are looking forward to some improvement on our nation. And also the possibility to make us feel a little more a Northener rather than just a normal human-being." Allejo Santos, Minister of Sports of Northern Sunrise Islands

AYEVILLE CITY PIKACHUS

From the near south island, the Pikachus have a simple difficulty, be more interesting than their mascot, the Mighty Pikachu. Their colors are yellow and black and their stadium is the Pikachu Stadium, named after their mascot.
BRENTWOOD CITY CHARIZARDS

From the very northern Island, represented on the country's flag as the sun, the Brentwood City Blazikens are inspired by a very famous animal present in its area, the fierce, firebreathing Charizard. The team colors are red and orange and they play at the Douglas Field, a 5000-seater stadium used mainly for shows.
CRASSWEIL CITY HOUNDOOMS
From the neighboring south island of Mardi, the Crassweil Houndooms were originally the Crassweil University team, but after the University stopped their support, the Crassweil team decided to go pro by themselves. The team colors are black and purple and they play at the Phillips Field, a 3500-seater that is also the city's main stadium.
DAVENCREEK CITY VICTINIS
Davencreek, home of the top hotel of NSI, homes the Victinis. Wear orange and read, plays at the Davencreek Municipal Stadium, a 10000-seater stadium.
DEMONOCRACY OF METAL U-20 ZOMBIES
The very few, educated people that left their own country and decided to participate as an U-20 team for the country. Even though disgusted with their nation's style of life, they still label themselves as the national team of the country. They wear black and green, also playing at the Mardi Municipal Stadium, since they aren't "de facto" the nation's U-20 team.
LYNDER TOWN FROSSLASSES
Lynder Town, with its famous Lynder Peak, that has the very strange feature of having snow that from time to time reaches the city itself, is represented by the Frosslasses. Their colors are light blue and white as they play at the Snowflake Stadium, an artistic 6000-seater stadium that is modeled after a snowflake.
MABEL CITY WIGGLYTUFFS
Owned by ITV, a TV corporation, the Wigglytuffs are in fact, one talented bunch. Normally, their training consists of juggling with the ball instead of normal style football. Their colors are pink and black and they play at the Yukuno Stadium, named after the president of the company with 13500 seats.
MALLWILL CITY HITMONLEES
Based of a Jeet Kung Do dojo that has been set in the city, the Hitmonlees wear brown and white as their colors and play at the Lee Stadium, 5000-seater stadium that has a statue of the style creator, Bruce Lee right on front of it.
MARDI CITY LOPUNNIES
Center island, the pseudo-capital of Northern Sunrise's representant, the Lopunnies aren't normally taken seriously due to their nickname, but they sure want to make their city be proud of them. They wear brown and light yellow, playing at the Mardi Municipal Stadium, a 7500-seater, built as the "should-be" main stadium of the city, but falls in the shadow of the Allejo Stadium.
MIST CITY FLOATZELS
Also known as the Mist Beach Floatzels, the team is made out of students from nearby schools and mainly from the University of the Beach.
Their colors are orange and blue. The Floatzels home is the Dolphin Park.
NEUVILLE CITY SCYTHERS
Founded by the Neuville City Mill Company, the Scythers have a star in the name of Michael Leminski, who as a child, was the lone survivor of a massacre in the city. Their colors are green and light yellow and their home is the Star of Hope Arena, 15000-seater, named after the hope of honor restoring that got lost on the massacre.
NORTHERN SUNRISE ISLANDS U-20 MARILLS
The Under-20 team, basically what the Northern Sunrise Islands Republic built in hard work enters the tournament, wishing to represent all money wasted on their power and ability. The team colors are blue and yellow, same from the nation's flag and they play at the Allejo Stadium, named in honor of Allejo, Minister of Sports, 15000-seater stadium that is in Mardi City, city responsible for most of the system implemented in the country.
SEASIDE CITY WARTORTLES
With an entire city that moves around the water-based business, Seaside City Wartorles have the normal hobby of swimming whenever the weather is not that good for football practicing. They play at the Seaside Stadium, a 5000-seater stadium that happens to be near water.
SAINT ANNE AND JACOB U-20 SHRIMPS
A sister nation, Saint Anne and Jacob sent the Shrimps as a welcoming gift for the league and also as a way to divert their population, since the country has not a league. The team colors are red, green and yellow and they also play in the Allejo Stadium.
TIVOLI CITY VENASSAURS
Home of the Green Area Reservation Site, one of NSI's main dedication for the future, Tivoli has as representant the Venassaurs. They wear green and white and play in the Nature Stadium, and ecological 8000-seater stadium.
ULTIMA ESCOLHA U-20 HIPPOTIGRINES

Youngsters that decided to board out of their night-living home, Ultima Escolha, came to the Sunrising League as the Hippotigrines. Their colors are orange and black and they play at the Phillips Field with Cassweil.

Gordonopia Premier League
Gordonopia Cup Semifinals

The semifinal matches for the Gordonopia Premier League are now complete, and the finalists have been determined from a pair of goal-heavy matches.

Kaje Football started the day with a stunning 3-4 victory in AET at the home stadium of their opponent: regular-season winner FC Deska. The match was viewed by many going in as a clash of the league's best offense against the best defense. Kaje, home to Golden Boot winner Jere Tobias, remained a consistent leader in several offensive stats throughout the season, and though it fell short of topping the league in goals by three, most fans throughout the empire considered the Bahar Island Boys' attacking to be second to none. Meanwhile, FC Deska's defense was anchored by Golden Glove winner Ludwig Strauss, who ended up with his worst game of the season when it mattered most. Only a single team during the entire regular season, Teva FC, managed to score three goals against FC Deska's crushing defense, and the four goals scored by Kaje today were the highest of the year.

The game started bright for FC Deska with a pair of goals, both by forward Martin Mallorn, in the 14th and 30th minute. Following the half, however, the hope for victory began to grow dimmer. A breakaway goal by Kaje's Jere Tobias in the 46th minute helped silence the Deska crowd, while an equalizing goal from Tobias, scored in the 68th minute, and a goal to take the lead by midfielder Marc Dunning in the 76th minute, turned silence into sorrow. An 88th minute goal from FC Deska defender Roger Steiner brought back a glimmer of hope, and helped take the game into AET, but when Kaje midfielder Hugh Burch scored in the 10th minute, Deska was unable to respond.

Further south, West Tolten achieved victory over the Kjeldor Knights in a 4-2 home victory. West, ranked sixth at the conclusion of the regular season, holds the final Gordonopia Cup title from before the war, and now, six years later, will finally defend it.

The game began as a back-and-forth exchange for the first third of the game, with no clear leader emerging. It wasn't until the 33rd minute that West midfielder Norm Bates scored a breakthrough goal that lead to the ultimate victory. West forward Hugh Lawrence followed up the goal with a 41st minute tip-in, and although a brief window of opportunity opened for Kjeldor in the 51st minute thanks to a goal by Plains' Dominique Mann, the window was quickly closed. In the 55th and 67th minutes, West forwards Hugh Lawrence and Chris Irving each scored off of corners, and Kjeldor was unable to catch up. Their second goal came from a lucky deflected shot in the 81st minute by defender Matty Paige, but the score proved to be too little too late.

Kaje Football and West Tolten will now face each other before a sellout crowd of 122,150 at Empire Stadium in Gordonopia City. FC Deska and the Kjeldor Knights will play at Teva Park for third and fourth place.

Gordonopia Cup Semifinals
FC Deska 3–3 Kaje Football (3–4 AET)
West Tolten 4–2 Kjeldor Knights

Welcome back to another season of soccer! The 2nd season of 2012 for the Torisakia Soccer League has begun. With all 24 teams from last year preparing, there are 3 new teams! the North Holland Barnraiders, the Hove Beach Crusaders, and the Easton Blockpotters! It's now a great time to make some predictions on what will happen. Last season, the Tokai Ice Birds won back-to-back titles after beating Grand Cane. They won their 7th title all-time. They're trying for a three-peat this season. So the new teams better be aware. Here are the updated ranks:

1. Tokai Ice Birds
2. Grand Cane Aztecs
3. Dorrsville Mustangs
4. Aurelia Extreme
5. FC Koradai Knightriders
6. Berchem Linx
7. Douglas La-Pryor Indians
8. Tokai United Raiders
9. ASFC Criminals
10. Mushai Devil Rays
11. Beach Port Seahawks
12. Yasui Black Magic
13. Fortside Ichabods
14. Jerryville Cauchos
15. Lancet Ironheads
16. Postmeridian Firebolts
17. Fishmarket North Troubodours
18. Beachgate Thunderwolves
19. Beechwood City Fury
20. Ogino Fire Ninjas
21. Presidents City Senators
22. Tecumsuh Holsteins
23. Fishmarket South Trojans
24. Willis Valkyries
25. North Holland Barnraiders
26. Easton Blockpotters

As you can see, many teams that were ranked badly last year have good spots. The ASFC Criminals see their best rank in over 5 years. And for the first time ever, the Yasui Black Magic are not ranked in the Top 10. Fishmarket South has it's best rank since 2004. Postmeridian, besides doing good last season, are not ranked in the Top 15.

There have been many questions about the playoff system this season, since 2 new teams have been added. The TSLA has announced that the playoff system will take the top 9 teams from each conference and put them in the playoffs. The top team from each conference will have a BYE in the Round-of-18. Also, the TSLA announced that not every team will play each matchday like last season. Since both conferences have 13 teams each. One team will have a BYE each matchday.

Another thing added is the Bruce H. Coker Trophy, which is awarded to the best player in the league. The other new trophy is the Gorbaduc Hogpen-Whitfoot Trophy, which is given to the top 2 players from each conference. The rankings for the best player in the league are listed below:

1. Andrew Henderson(Tokai Ice Birds)
2. Nathan Hale(Berchem Linx)
3. Johnny Kelso(ASFC Criminals)
4. Will Owens(Grand Cane Aztecs)
5. Austin Tyra(Dorrsville Mustangs)
6. Brady Mergenthal(Douglas La-Pryor Indians)
7. Abkel Johnson(Postmeridian Firebolts)
8. Caleb Rottenberry(Fishmarket North Troubodours
9. Mathias Hertzog(FC Koradai Knightraiders)
10. Hagos Mebrahtu(Yasui Black Magic)

We have some very big predictions this season. First off, we think that the winner of the Bruce H. Coker Trophy will be Johnny Kelso. Next, we think the best team from each conference will be the Tokai Ice Birds and ASFC Criminals. That's also our prediction for the championship game. Now, we aren't gonna make a prediction for the championship game. But we are gonna say that Johnny Kelso will have a great season with the ASFC Criminals. That is if they don't decided to trade him to the Easton Blockpotters. So without further ado, we give you the next season of the 2012 Torisakia Soccer League!

Samuel woke up from a long rest, he lazily made his way down to the kitchen of his house. For the most part he was still asleep, his body acting more from muscle memory than anything else. His roommate, Tucker, had already been awake for a few hours and was behind the stove making breakfast for the both of them.

"Mornin', you sure did sleep for a while", said Tucker.

"Yeah", replied Sam, his voice was groggy and unrefined, "How long was I out for?"

"One and a half days", Tucker laughed, "Apparently you needed it though. Nothing I tried could wake you up. Anyway breakfast is just about ready"

"That's good to hear", said Samuel as he leaned over to the television to turn it on. The first station that came on was a station devoted to stand-up. Sam stared blankly as the screen but, in his eyes you could tell that his brain was overclocking. After about a minute of staring intently at the TV, Sam's jaw dropped and he exclaimed "HOLY SHIT THAT WAS ALL A FUCKING DREAM?!???!?"

"What was?", asked Tucker, startled by the sudden outburst.

"It'll take too long to explain" said Sam, Tucker was not amused and shot him the 'yes I want to hear it anyway' look, "Ok, so, I dreamt that, we were in the year AY 8 and there was this thing called the SRPD and Virabi Clubs were in it. Then we got invaded twice and we had a time crisis and we owned Sørøya and we wanted to be an empire and and like twenty years passed and we made the World Cup and, we were a bunch of tent hippies near the end"

"Sounds interesting. Might be why you were asleep for a day and a half", said Tucker.

Sam interrupted him, "It was, it all just felt so real"

"In a way, it is real", said Tucker, "Welcome back to the real world!"

"Thanks" replied Sam.

"Anyway, we better eat quickly. We should get down to the park to see Portsham City and CD Vonghurst play!"

((OOC: And just like that, All Virabi RP has been erased. To get a sense of what the country ACTUALLY is. It is assumed that time up until now has essentially been 20 more years of mostly isolationism and the starting point for this go around is going to be a slightly modified point of where I was when I ran the first edition of v.league. For all other RPers disreguard that anything related to Virabia happened! As to the construction of the nation, that has yet to be worked out but Brantaland as well as the Uke Islands (as well as Sørøya) will likely become independent nations outside of Virabia which will be just the mainland as well as the conservation areas. I have yet to actually think that out though. ANYWAY with out further ado, the Season Preview for the first ever of v.league!))

The Vonghurst Star
v.league Inaugural Season Preview

VONGHURST - Football in Virabia has always taken the backseat. Since the days of the Tropaia Football League way back in the days of old, it's been little more than a park sport with limited amounts of people partaking in it. Recently, this has begun to change somewhat. With the gradual opening of Virabia to the outside world, many across the nation have become exposed to the greater Rushmori Culture, of which, football is an absurdly large part. With aspirations of grandure, the likes of which other Rushmori nations regularly see, many of those who played the sport in the parks began to group together into more formal clubs and they began to play in local leagues. Soon enough, this was not enough and there were calls for a national league to start play. With what were commonly thought to be the ten best clubs spearheading the effort the v.league was announced last year and is set to begin play this year. While many clubs of the league still play in parks, Small stadiums are either being used or under construction for all of the clubs in the league. The clubs are as follows:

Atalanta BC
Location: Atalanta, Anglorcia
Stadium: Estadio Atalanta (32,000) *biggest in the league (Note: only the lower rows will be used so the functional capacity is around 5,000)
Manager: Tom Barry
Captain: Tom Barry DF/Player Coach
Key Player: Apolinario Meléndez, MF
Preview: Honestly, Atalanta is probably going to finish on the upper end of the league. From their media day workouts they look to be a solid side, couple that with a strong local footballing scene they will be better equipped than many other clubs in the league to do well. That being said, this is a first year league without much in the way of history behind it so anything is possible.

Prediction: 3rd

Beaverbury AFC
Location: Beaverbury, Eropeos
Stadium: Centre Park (500ish)
Manager: Frank Ashton
Captain: Tomás Fernandes, DF
Key Player: Al Bradley, GK
Preview: While Football is generally thought to have more traction in the south of the country, the state of Eropeos bucks this trend. Football's virtually unheard of and aside from a small group of players, most of which are transplants from other parts of the country, no one plays it or cares all too much about it. This lack of prominence will only hurt a club which is likely going to have to struggle to get fans to even stop by and get people watching their matches. The prediction for Beaverbury is simply woeful. They will more than likely be in the bottom part of the league and next season may be forced to exit the league and return to playing in local rec leagues, that is if travel expenses don't cause them to fold outright.

Prediction: 10th

CD Vonghurst
Location: Espérenza, Vonghurst
Stadium: Parque Malpereza (300ish)
Manager: Raimi Árias
Captain: Miguel Apollo, DF
Key Player: Pédro, FW
Preview: While football is not that big amongst both the Anglo and the Negroe populations, it is much more popular among the Espéranto and with in the Espéranto strong hold of Espérenza it rivals Curling as top dog. The long existing leagues for teams based in the neighbourhood serves as proof of this and out of this established competition comes CD Vonghurst. While they are better known for their status in other sports (most notably Rugby League and Basketball), they already have their name out there as well as having a generous reserve of money to dip into. This combined with anticipated fan support will make it certain that the club will survive the turbulent first few seasons of the new v.league while likely establishing the all Espéranto club as a footballing power in Virabia for years to come.

Prediction: 1st

Charleston Artillery
Location: Charleston, Anglaia
Stadium: The Gunnery (9,000)
Manager: Thor Vikøren
Captain: Thor Vikøren, MF/Player-Manager
Key Player: Ethan Newman, MF
Preview: Like the other team based in Angaia, Espilon, Charleston is rather unimpressive. While Thor Vikøren is thought by many to be a player who could survive on his own on many of the top teams around the world, he is currently surrounded by players of only average skill level and some, like strikers Forrest Parker and Júan Antonío Ramíeres who are downright awful. Yet, it is these players that player-manager Thor Vikøren banks the team's success off of and it is clear, his skill at the game of football does not equate to him being a competent manager. Thus, the prediction for the Artillery is rather grim, at least for the short term. If Thor wakes up and finds an actual manager for the club (especially one who is able to push many of Charleston's average players to their full potential) and makes smart moves in obtaining players Charleston COULD be a really great team. They have some of the pieces, they just need to finish the puzzle.

Prediction: 8th

Espilon Psychic
Location: Espilon, Anglaia
Stadium: Grant Avenue (1,200)
Manager: Pancho Rivera
Captain: Pancho Rivera, GK/Player-Manager
Key Player: Tom O'Neal, DF
Preview: From what we've seen of the club, Espilon strikes us for being rather unimpressive in both directions. They are neither good, nor are they all that bad. While they do have some strong players in Pancho Rivera, Tom O'Neal as well as Earl Rubio it seems as if the talented players are more concerned with looking good then putting forth any concerted team effort. It's almost as if they want to be transferred off of the club which may dampen the club's prospects in the long term, though the fees gained by players transferring off of the club could potentially be extremely helpful as that money could help to keep the team afloat through the tumultuous seasons ahead.
Last Season: N/A
Prediction: 6th

FC Negroe Pride
Location: Southham, Tropaia
Stadium: Briant Square Park (1,200)
Manager: Bob Token
Captain: Marcus Waters, FW
Key Player: Rudolfo Brown, FW
Preview: More known for their success in the curling rink, the famous all-negroe sporting club has recently expanded to include football and just as with other sports the club has done quite well. Drawing the support of Southham's large Negroe population (both Anglophonic and Espérphonic alike) the Pride are already one of the best supported clubs in the entire country and the only to have it's own organised fan club before the season begins play. There is good reason for it though. The club contains some of the most exciting players to watch in the sport and their attacking oriented style of play makes fans turn heads, especially when contrasted with the defence-heavy, karela inspired tactics of most other Virabi football clubs. Also, pay close attention to young 14 year old Rudolfo Brown, who is already a key player for the club at his age. Many say that he may become Virabia's first great footballer.
Last Season: N/A
Prediction: 2nd

Ithaca Big Red
Location: Ithaca, Tropaia
Stadium: Schoellkopf Field (25,597)
Manager: Tom Bradley
Captain: Choam Nomsky, MF
Key Player: Joav Briseño, DF
Preview: The Big Red have the potential to either be a really good team or a really horrible team so, it's essentially a cointoss as to which they will be. As they are the oldest team, a good chunk of their success will depend on whether or not they are able to avoid injuries or not. If they are able to though, they are a team to watch out for. Many players on the club are seasoned veterans of Ithaca's football scene which like Espéranza's is one of the longest lasting and most famous in the nation and because of the season being played in spring/summer, football will not conflict with the city's true passion of Ice Hockey so, one can expect that Schoellkopf (which will likely be the largest stadium in terms of how much capacity is being used) will be quite full during Big Red matches.

Portsham City
Location: Portsham, Ita
Stadium: The Fields @ Northshore State Park (400ish)
Manager: Buck Brady
Captain: Buck Brady DF/Player Coach
Key Player: Abe Villagómez, DF
Preview: While football has not seen even the limited success that it has in the south of the country, Portsham as well as Atalanta are two notable exceptions to this, largely in part to their large population which includes many migrants from the south of the country who for various reasons came to the north of the country. The area also boasts a "large" immigrant population from Kazzoria, Malak, Somewhereistonia and other Rushmori nations (it's only large when compared to the average rate around the country). These people have taken their love of football to the city and as such make up a good portion of the local leagues. This being said, Portsham's brand of football is unmistakably northern, opting to defend at all costs even if that means forgoing winning. While this is an extension of traditional Virabi tactics, many clubs in the north take this to extreme levels and when they've played competition from areas like Tropaia this hyper-karelan strategy has resulted in more losses than victories. This, coupled with a mostly young roster, is why Portsham, at least for the time being, is likely to not fare so well in the early seasons and may potentially fold, though their risk is nowhere near that of clubs like Beaverbury, Tompkins United and even Espilon.

Prediction: 7th

Tompkins United
Location: Various places around the state of Tompkins
Stadium: Various
Manager: Jorge Péstrada
Captain: Jorge Péstrada FW/Player-Manager
Key Player: Allan Ramos FW
Preview: TU's saving grace may also be it's undoing. Of the ten teams in v.league, it is the only one which is a barnstorming club. With out a home base any where in the state, it's local talent pool will be one of widest in the nation, which more than makes up for the overall lack of talent to be found in anyone part of the state but, at the same time the fact that even it's home games require travel for most players will mean one or two things will happen. Either the club will have to pay for the ridiculous amounts of travel that will be needed by the club or it will have to come directly out of the players pockets. Either way, this will likely spell disaster for the club which will most certainly be exhausted from all the traveling that they will have to do as well as the lack of team practices due to their living all around the state (including a few who live in Segycium and Ita) Either way, they will likely do better than Beaverbury simply because they have more talent but, unless they are able to stay afloat financially and hopefully find a more perminant home, my prediction is that in five years, they will be a team of the past.

Prediction: 9th

Vonghurst Capitols
Location: Vonghurst, Vonghurst
Stadium: Olympic Park (3,200)
Manager: Martín Rivera
Captain: Kent Barkley, MF
Key Player: Fabío Gordo Ilex, GK
Preview: The Capitols are a club that holds a lot of promise. While the only notable players on their current roster are Kent Barkley, Fabío Ilex as well as star striker Dax Maguire, the club boasts the ONLY youth academy through it's partnership with Academia Deportiva. The Capitols also have the most solid financial backing of all of the clubs in v.league and can use that money to do a great many things including bringing foreign players into the mix and simply staying afloat through the first few seasons. That being said, until they are able to either acquire foreign players or develop some youth prospects, the Capitols will be a middle of the road club in a league that is FAR from being a top league in any sense of the word, so it's somewhat unlikely that many foreigners would even want to take the field with the Capitols, for now.
Last Season: N/A
Prediction: 5th

(-ish after the number in stadium capacity means that it's a park field with no established seating area thus people sit in lawn chairs or in the grass)

MATCHDAY RESUME 1~5

"Victinis and Frosslasses get a huge jump start."

An amazing display from the Davencreek Victinis as they almost destroy the Seaside Wartortles was shown at the Davencreek Municipal Stadium. Jacob Simms, left-winger responsible for the three first goals of Davencreek declared "It's nice to win at home, specially by such a large margin. Everyone made their parts and we hope to continue such success.". However, Lynder pulled the major show, opening a hole at the Neuville Scythers in an unexpected 6-0. "We didn't fought the way we trained." says Michael Leminski, star player of the Neuville Scythers. "We expected an easy match but got ourselves one damn blowout.". At the other games, Ayeville has beaten Ultima Escolha (1-0), Tivoli had a well-fought victory against Brentwood (5-3), Crassweil lost to Saint Anne and Jacob (0-2), NSI tied their game against Demonocracy of Metal (1-1),
Mabel and Mist City tied (1-1) and Mardi upsets Mallwill (0-3).
Ayeville Pikachus 1-0 Ultima Escolha Hippotigrines
Brentwood Charizards 3-5 Tivoli City Venassaurs
Crassweil Houndooms 0-2 Saint Anne and Jacob Shrimps
Davencreek Victinis 6-1 Seaside Wartortles
Demonocracy of Metal Zombies 1-1 NSI Marills
Lynder Frosslasses 6-0 Neuville Scythers
Mabel Wigglytuffs 1-1 Mist City Floatzels
Mallwill Hitmonlees 0-3 Mardi Lopunnies

"Seaside pays back against Brentwood. NSI still has to see a victory."
After the blowout loss to Davencreek, the Wartortles shown huge development and won 6-3 against Brentwood, who once again, stopped at the 3-goal mark. "The number three seems to act like a curse to us." declare Coach Tommy Hopkins. "Sure, Seaside was determinated, but that doesn't mean we should take such hit." On the other headline, NSI's U-20 team, the Marills, once again failed to win as another draw happened, this time against Crassweil.
In other matches, Tivoli beats Ayeville (4-1), Saint Anne and Jacob lost to Ultima Escolha (2-3), Neuville continues losing streak against Davencreek (0-1), Mist City beats Demonocracy of Metal (3-1), Mardi loses to Lynder (1-3) and Mallwill gets beaten by Mabel by a short advantage (1-2).
Tivoli City Venassaurs 4-1 Ayeville Pikachus
Saint Anne and Jacob Shrimps 2-3 Ultima Escolha Hippotigrines
Seaside Wartortles 6-3 Brentwood Charizards
NSI Marills 0-0 Crassweil Houndooms
Neuville Scythers 0-1 Davencreek Victinis
Mist City Floatzels 3-1 Demonocracy of Metal Zombies
Mardi Lopunnies 1-3 Lynder Frosslasses
Mallwill Hitmonlees 1-2 Mabel Wigglytuffs

"Ultima Escolha runs down the Marills, 8-0."
The Northern Sunrise Islands may be feeling like they shouldn't have invited the Hippotigrines after such a blowout. "Well. We had three choices. Attack, Defend or Counter-Attack, as tradition to the country, we have chosen the last one and... bam, we won." says Felipe Pessoa, defender from the Ultima Escolha team. Another surprise was the miracolous tie between Lynder and Mabel. The Wigglytuffs continue undefeated, just after what seemed like an impossible to win game.
Ayeville Pikachus 1-1 Saint Anne and Jacob Shrimps
Tivoli City Venassaurs 1-1 Seaside Wartortles
Ultima Escolha Hippotigrines 8-0 NSI Marills
Brentwood Charizards 0-1 Neuville Scythers
Crassweil Houndooms 1-0 Mist City Floatzels
Davencreek Victinis 4-1 Mardi Lopunnies
Demonocracy of Metal Zombies 1-1 Mallwill Hitmonlees
Lynder Frosslasses 1-1 Mabel Wigglytuffs

"Another invitee runs down the NSI Marills, 1-5"
Still hurt from the last beating, an 8-0 from Ultima Escolha, the NSI Marills take another loud beating as Saint Anne and Jacob destroyed them by a four goal advantage. "I don't know what to say. We were supposed to be the National pride." says Michael Cottonwood, captain of the Marills.
In another news, the Neuville Scythers seem to be snapping out of their bad luck streak as they beat the Venassaurs from Tivoli City by 4-2. Star rookie Michael Leminski scored the four goals from the Scythers. "It seems that my luck is coming back. I love when my teammates and my luck combine in such results." Other scores include: Seaside winning against Ayeville (1-0), Mist City losing to Ultima Escolha (2-3), Mardi and Brentwood end their encounter with a tie (2-3), Mallwill loses to Crassweil (1-2), Mabel loses invencibility to Davencreek (1-2) and Lynder ties with Demonocracy of Metal (3-3).
Seaside Wartortles 1-0 Ayeville Pikachus
NSI Marills 1-5 Saint Anne and Jacob Shrimps
Neuville Scythers 4-2 Tivoli City Venassaurs
Mist City Floatzels 2-3 Ultima Escolha Hippotigrines
Mardi Lopunnies 1-1 Brentwood Charizards
Mallwill Hitmonlees 1-2 Crassweil Houndooms
Mabel Wigglytuffs 1-2 Davencreek Victinis
Lynder Frosslasses 3-3 Demonocracy of Metal Zombies

"For a change, the NSI Marills are beaten by the Ayeville Pikachus."
The Marills continue to lose in the season as the Ayeville Pikachus beat the team 2-0, the Pikachus' second victory of the season. Trying to catch some words from the NSI team was impossible as the whole team just ran away after the match straight into the bus back to Mardi, where some extreme training schedule seems to have been done. Meanwhile, league leaders, the Davencreek Victinis had their first result that wasn't a victory as they tied with Demonocracy of Metal Zombies. "What do we have to say? Tying against other people is normal to us! We only seem to score points this way!" declares goali and ex-Metalier Mario Simmons, "Some say that it is thanks to myself, but the attackers don't seem to reach the goal a lot.". Other results: Seaside ties with Neuville (1-1), Saint Anne and Jacob beat Mist City (3-0), Tivoli beats Mardi (4-3), Ultima Escolha loses to Mallwill (0-1), Brentwood ties with Mabel (3-3), Crassweil loses to Lynder (1-2).
Ayeville Pikachus 2-0 NSI Marills
Seaside Wartortles 1-1 Neuville Scythers
Saint Anne and Jacob Shrimps 3-0 Mist City Floatzels
Tivoli City Venassaurs 4-3 Mardi Lopunnies
Ultima Escolha Hippotigrines 0-1 Mallwill Hitmonlees
Brentwood Charizards 3-3 Mabel Wigglytuffs
Crassweil Houndooms 1-2 Lynder Frosslasses
Davencreek Victinis 0-0 Demonocracy of Metal Zombies

Davencreek continues an unbeaten streak as they lead the Sunrising League with 13 points. Lynder follows with a difference of 2 points. Saint Anne and Jacob are tied in points with Tivoli as Saint Anne wins at score difference. Ultima Escolha Hippotigrines complete Top 5 with 9 points. Seaside has 8. Ayeville, Crassweil and Neuville are tied, but Neuville loses at score difference and Crassweil loses at Score Aggregate. Mabel has 6 points at 10th. Demonocracy of Metal leads the 4-point block, followed by Mist City, Mardi and Mallwill. Last two teams are Brentwood and Northern Sunrise Islands as they both have only 2 points, but only the Marills have a -16 score difference.

"Teams leave Regional Associations for National Confederation. Cup talks start to be raised."
Teams from the nation start a movement from the regional associations to the main landscape of football, as they join the Northern Sunrise Islands Football Conference. "It's a good way of developing ourselves to the top form of football." says Mr. Michael Love, preisdent of the Carnival City Samba. "Aside from that, most of the Regional Associations seem to be made to crumble and faint. It's a big guarantee, after all, if the Confederation itself doesn't work, soccer is dead in the country." says Ms. Felicia Catheline, president of the Mowling City Tigercats.

According to Sports Minister Allejo Santos, there are new tournaments been created in order to accomodate these teams. "It's obvious that in order to maintain those teams, new leagues have to be implementated. As of now, we have two tournaments in mind. A national cup that could include the entering teams and a Second Division that has still to be determinated, however, the plans are of a two-divisioned league and the two finalists are selected to play at the Sunrising League.

Gordonopia Premier League
Gordonopia Cup Final Round

The Gordonopia Cup has come to a close, the champions have been crowned: above all others, Kaje Football has earned the Gordonopian domestic championship. Before a crowd of over 122,000 at Empire Stadium, Kaje overcame West Tolten, winners of the last Gordonopia cup before the War of Restoration.

Buildup for the game began hours beforehand, with a rally attended by hundreds of thousands in Capitol Square, ten blocks from the stadium. An appearance by the Emperor helped mark the significance of the occasion, and at the end, a march to the stadium began.

Following a performance of the Imperial Anthem by Marcia Connely, lead soprano of the Imperial Opera, the teams took their places, and the kickoff began.

Almost immediately, Kaje took control, and within the first ten minutes had two shots on goal. Luckily for West, however, their goalie, Mark Rheinard, was able to stop each one. After this early blitz, the game began to settle. Several shots from West, including a bounce off the crossbar, helped show that the defending champs were still in the game.

As the game stretched on, it seemed that the momentum was shifting in West's favor, as several corners and breakthroughs, the closest coming from midfielder Norm Bates, caused the Kaje defense and goalie to tighten up considerably. A breakthrough by Kaje's star striker, Jere Tobias, and defender, Roy Jeffries, changed this completely.

Immediately after the half, Tobias received the ball from Kaje goalie Jakob Bruhn following a stop. Seeing the left wing open, Tobias took the ball up the field, passing four West players on the way, before passing to defender Roy Jeffries. As Jeffries kept possession, Tobias sprinted into the box. Seeing Tobias so close to the goal, and just barely on-sides, Jeffries gave a rocketing cross from the right wing, which Tobias dove for and successfully headed the ball just past Mark Rheinard, into the net.

With this goal in the 47th minute, the Kaje supporter's end erupted. Although they didn't know it yet, the goal scored would be the one that would win their team the game.

For the next 45 minutes, Kaje and West played an end-to-end war of attrition. Neither team was able to put the ball in the net, but neither team was safe from what seemed like an endless number of chances. A yellow card on West forward James Royce in the 64th minute and two West substitutions proved to be the only real interruptions, and when the referee announced that there would only be two minutes of stoppage, Kaje wasted no time in locking down the ball. Skilled dribbling and passing from the whole team kept the ball away from West for the duration of extra time, and when the final whistle blew, the celebration was massive. Despite the best efforts of stadium security, the Kaje end stormed the field (thankfully resulting in no serious injuries), while the Emperor presented the Cup to Jere Tobias, who was named Man of the Match, and Kaje's coach, Marc Bullard.

In other news, the third place match between FC Deska and the Kjeldor Knights was played just before the championship, resulting in a 1-0 win for the regular season champs. FC Deska's only goal came in the 69th minute from forward Martin Mallorn, while Golden Boot winner Ludwig Strauss seemed to have returned to form following the devastating semifinal loss against the new champions.

Changes to the Phoenigetuzstha Divizia Nationala for Season 3

For the third season of the Phoenigetuzstha Divizia Nationala (Season 1 being the most recent event), the league will be re-shuffled, with only 8 teams participating in the Phoenigetuzstha Divizia Nationala. The Phoenigetuzstha Divizia II will be expanded to 14 teams, and a total of 26 games will be played. Here is a full list of changes to the system:

Phoenigetuzstha Divizia Nationala

- 8 teams will participate in the Phoenigetuzstha Divizia Nationala.

    - A total of 28 games will be played, making it a quadrupedal round-robin tournament.

- Teams finishing 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th will enter a Championship Group

    - The matches between these teams will be used as the base ranking, and a double round-robin tournament will be played to determine the final positions that season

- Teams finishing 7th and 8th will enter a Relegation/Promotion group with 4 teams from the Phoenigetuzstha Divizia II

    - A double round-robin tournament will be played to determine the final rankings. The top two ranked teams will play in the Phoenigetuzstha Divizia Nationala in the next season.

Phoenigetuzstha Divizia II

- 14 teams will compete in the Phoenigetuzstha Divizia II

    - A total of 26 games will be played, making it a double round-robin tournament.

- Teams finishing 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th will enter the Relegation/Promotion Group

    - A double round-robin tournament will be played to determine the final rankings. The top two ranked teams will play in the Phoenigetuzstha Divizia Nationala in the next season.

- One team will be relegated each season and a team from the lower leagues will be promoted to the Phoenigetuzstha Divizia II.

How will this happen?

The bottom 2 teams in the Phoenigetuzstha Divizia Nationala will automatically be relegated to the Phoenigetuzstha Divizia II. Teams placing 7th to 10th will be put in a Promotion/Relegation group along side the top 4 teams from the Phoenigetuzstha Divizia II. A double round-robin tournament will be played with the top two finishing teams qualifying for the Phoenigetuzstha Divizia Nationala for the next season. The Championship Groups will function as normal, and there will be no relegations from the Phoenigetuzstha Divizia II for that season.

The Thirty-Ninth Champions’ Cup Final

After being held to one goal in one hundred and twenty minutes by the Astograthian champions, Yuba United wins its sixth Champions’ Cup title on kicks from the penalty mark. Though this was only the second penalty shootout for the Silver-Blues in their eleven UICA finals (the other being the famous one against Olympique Protectorat in the inaugural event), it is the third time a Champions’ Cup final has been decided in such a manner in the last four seasons—Fontvielle Impact’s decisive victory over Sonoma Center Panthers providing the exception.

Yuba United wins its fourth Super Cup in five outings, and would need one more victory to claim ownership of another original piece of UICA silverware. Pumas Maldonado becomes only the sixth Series B Champions’ Cup winner to finish better than last in the competition.

Updated coëfficients are now available.

The entry limits for the next season of UICA competition will be as follows:
Champions’ Cup 40: The number of teams allowed is determined according to association coëfficients, with the following distribution:
  • Associations ranked 1–3 (Cafundéu, Valladares, and Capitalizt SLANI) are allowed to enter four teams.
  • Associations ranked 4–6 (Estresse Intenso, Aguazul, and Valanora) are allowed to enter three teams.
  • Associations ranked 7–28 (Kagdazka and Pazhujebu, Polar Islandstates, Jasĭyun, Krytenia, Zarbli, Astograth, Whirl Islands, Osarius, Queer Poco el Mono Ara, Pasarga, West Zirconia, Civil Citizenry, Eastfield Lodge, The Babbage Islands, Erathore, Taeshan, Turori, Darmen, Saugeais, Chenkorya, Mangolana, and Vilita) are allowed to enter two teams.
  • Associations ranked 29 and below, and unranked associations, are allowed to enter one team.
  • Special considerations:
    • Yuba United is assured a place as the title holder. If it fails to qualify for one of the Élite League’s six places, it will replace one of those teams.
    • Élite League: Has six places. Capitalizt SLANI must enter at least three teams, and Jasĭyun at least one.
    • Liga de Fuego: Has four places, which must be filled by teams from at least two separate associations.
    • V-League: Has four places, which must be filled by teams from at least two separate associations.
    • SBFF: Has two places, which must be filled by teams from two separate associations.
Globe Cup 37: Every association is allowed to enter three teams. Multiassociational leagues may enter six teams, of which no more than four may be from the same association.
Series B Champions’ Cup 37: Every association is allowed to enter four teams. Multiassociational leagues may enter eight teams, of which no more than six may be from the same association.

Alesanka Park in Yuba, Paripana has been chosen as the site of the fortieth Champions’ Cup final, so no bids will be accepted for that tournament. Also note that it is no longer permissible for a stadium to bid for more than one UICA final in the same season.

The deadline for entry to Champions’ Cup 40 and Series B Champions’ Cup 37 is tentatively set for Sunday, 2012-06-03.

Exactly halfway through the season, let's go over every team's situation. KB and KS remain at the top after they fought out a stunning 1-1 draw, although Íþróttafélag Strímstraður look like they mean business, and are gaining ground. Newcomers Kópabyggð and Krónur have performed as excpected, with some bright spots but still fairly dismal hopes. B56 look as though their old veterans have already run out of steam, indicated that changes are definitely needed in the off season, if they survive. HFV remain in a bad position despite a win after poor performances, while rivals HKF have had a season of real ups and downs as their veteran core is determined to prove they are not too old. Íþróttabandalag Árnær and Ráfnavík have both had unimpressive seasons, although the former's win over the latter should shake things up and define who's the better team. Brynúvík couldn't build on their win last matchday, and remain in a dismal position with HFS.

The title chase was a very tight affair, the top two teams confronting each other on the penultimate matchday, but it was the winner of that that sealed title, the Swans unexpectedly winning it all after an average start to the season. KB will have to settle for second after an excellent season, scoring 63 goals, while preseason favorites KS finished a disappointing third after dominating at the beginning of the campaign. Perennial chasers for international spots, Fjóllbærin and Völnarinn the latter failed to reach them by the narrowest of margins yet again, while the former clinched fourth. Ráfnavík and Árnær remained solid mid-table teams, though as their youngsters start to blossom, they may see future success. They were a far cry away from international places, however. There was then a sheer drop in points yet again, as five teams were involved in an intense relegation battle. A stunning fightback from FC Brynúvík, who won their last two games of an extremely disappointing campaign, saw them stay up by the skin of their teeth, sending newcomers Krónur back down in their place. Kópabyggð shocked many simply by staying afloat, despite scoring the least in the league. B56 came under late pressure from possible relegation, but manged to finish six points outside of it. HFS will be very disappointed, as they were tipped for a comfortable mid-table finish, but never looked good at any point in the season. Víkingur Bolúvík and Kráfinn FC will be replacing the relegated teams next season.

The Iturributan Premier Division: Inaugural Season Preview

Having at last broken away from the Grand Duchy of Astograth, the Free Republic of Iturributa, in association with the Futbol Iturributako Federazioa, proudly presents the first season of its very own professional football league, open to foreigners and international competition! With 10 teams from the cities of Iturributa, Garitzeta, Guenara and their surroundings playing each other in a quadruple round-robin, the Taldo Premierako is set to be a huge success. The title candidates are, of course, two-time Astograthian champions Sporting Iturributa and their biggest rivals, current champions of Astograth and Champions' Cup 39 finalists Iturributa United. Fans of both can't wait for the surely title-deciding derbies that await this season at the 72,000-seater Old City Stadium.

Heading into the first matchday, this is how the title candidates line up:

United keep the core of last season's massively successful team, but have done away with some deadweight and Cup of Harmony-winning striker Itzaina Erreka, who leaves for the up-and-coming Gordonopian league. Incoming are Aelsh forward Elwyn Richard, with no Ss, from not-so-top club Imeall an Uisce; young Gordonopian full-back Matty Paige and finally Zilar Oramuno from Astograthian side Ituraitz FC. Players to keep an eye out for are elven keeper Hérion Galonloth, long-time Polarian international Petter Bielsen, Olibondeka playmaker Otz Lasuen and lithe striker Ellis Elmsvikur.

Meanwhile, one-upped by United in their search for a world championship, Sporting have retired memorable Astograthian internationals Garin Alea and Eneko Dorregaray while bringing through some young talent from their academy, in addition to finally securing a sponsorship deal with Rushmore's favourite Charmunnry soft drink Stl-Blnd. Players of note include captain Zernin Aira, centre-back Sotil Burruchaga, deep-lying playmaker Artur Rochemback and the big man up front, Alejandro Martinuccio. From the bench, winger Mantzio Janssens is also one to keep in mind considering Eneko Dicharry is well past thirty.

The Others:
ImageImage
Iturributa Racing Club
Hometown: Iturributa
Colours: Orange shirt with black stripe, orange shorts and socks
Last Season Finish: 9th in the Astograthian First Division
Notes: If there's someone who might break up the two-horse race it's Iturributa Racing, but it's a very long shot. They have a solid squad of proven players, but an average age that nears thirty and little in the way of big-name stars means they can hardly challenge for something more than third place.

ImageImage
Garitzeta Racing Club
Hometown: Garitzeta
Colours: Black and orange striped shirt, black shorts and socks
Last Season Finish: 16th in the Astograthian First Division
Notes: Did poorly in the Astograthian league last season, but Globe Cup qualification should be within their grasp now. A few players who competed for Iturributa at the World Cuppets, including dependable forward Meabe Bastida, might give them the push they need to get one over their old rivals in Iturributa.

ImageImage
Freedom FC
Hometown: Iturributa
Colours: Red and yellow striped shirt, black shorts and socks
Last Season Finish: 1st in the Astograthian Second Division
Notes: As their name may indicate, Freedom have long yearned to compete in the top tier after dropping out from the Astograthian First Division many seasons ago by the hand of one Artzeiz Zornoza, and their efforts at a comeback have been repeatedly frustrated despite having fairly decent players. Their loyal forward Emenon Boneta is one to watch, several times topping the scoring charts in Second Division.

ImageImage
Independent Garitzeta
Hometown: Garitzeta
Colours: White with blue stripe, white shorts, blue socks
Last Season Finish: 1st in the Astograthian Second Division B (as Royal Garitzeta)
Notes: Having lost the right to bear the title of 'Royal' and rebranding itself 'Independent', Garitzeta were one of the founding members of the Astograthian Football League fourteen seasons ago and long tumbled between the second and third tiers. Now prepared for their first top-flight experience, they aspire to reach a previously unthinkable Globe Cup qualification spot.

ImageImage
Guenara Defender
Hometown: Guenara
Colours: Yellow kit, black shorts, yellow socks
Last Season Finish: Non-league
Notes: A decent team within the old Iturributa Province Division One, from before the formation of the Astograthian Football League. Defender are economically stable and have good infrastructure, which puts them in an excellent position to take advantage of Iturributa's new status. Don't expect much at the moment, but in the future they could well be making Globe Cup appearances.

ImageImage
Guenara City
Hometown: Guenara
Colours: All dark blue kit
Last Season Finish: Non-league
Notes: Defender's bitter rivals, City are much the same but in a bit of a tight spot regarding finances. Depending on how well the league fares economically these problems could be solved or lead to a cycle of costly loans; the partition of TV money is proving especially divisive considering the demands of the two big Iturributan teams.

ImageImage
Focus FC
Hometown: Iturributa
Colours: Green shirt with white and black stripe, green shorts and socks
Last Season Finish: Non-league
Notes: A member of Iturributa's top semi-professional league and frequent invitee to the Astograthian Royal Cup, Focus FC have much in the way of local tradition if not talent and infrastructure. Though they've become fully professional and revamped their squad for the occasion, they'll still be hoping to get a steady place in the Premier Division before setting their aims higher.

ImageImage
Langaraitz Rovers
Hometown: Langaraitz
Colours: Black and cyan striped shirt, black shorts, cyan socks
Last Season Finish: Non-league
Notes: Despite having one of the oldest clubs in Astograth, nevermind Iturributa, the little town of Langaraitz isn't used to top-flight football, which means the expectation is immense. Avoiding relegation will be difficult but is the most pressing concern, though the mere chance of facing the likes of Bielsen and Aira has the players and fans wetting their pants.

"Huge news arrive from NSIFC."
A surprising result was taken after voting at the NSIFC. After a 10-1 vote, the Sunrising Football Leagues (named due to special partnership between the Ultor-Saints Company and the NSIFC as the Ultor Sunrising Football League.) will be taking the original regional ranks as their national ranking for the new three divisions. Named Sunrising Football League One, Two and Three, each of these leagues have different styles.
On other news, the Northern Sunrise Times Sunrising League made two important choices about the International Tournaments of main importance such as the Champion's Cup, the Globe Cup and the Series B Champion's Cup. The league's champion (if ended today, the Davencreek Victinis) would be the representant from the Northern Sunrise Islands. Globe Cup recieves second to fourth-placed teams at the First DIvision (If ended today, the Lynder Frosslasses, the Tivoli City Venassaurs and the Seaside City Wartortles) and the Series B Champion's Cup will recieve the four qualifying teams at the Sunrising Football League One, which ironically will be the four qualyfing teams for next season's Sunrising League. Talking about the Sunrising League, the sixteen teams from that league have earned some nice news from Sports Minister Allejo Santos. "As a senate voting, the league will have no relegation for this season, due to the need of an increase of teams. Also based on the possibility of Under-20 teams leaving the league." The First Division features Saint Anne and Jacob, Demonocracy of Metal, Ultima Escolha and the infamous NSI Under-20 teams. As a matter of fact, Allejo said "The Federations is already considering the closure of the Marills' participation at the league if not shown any progress.". The result of this sayings was the sacking of coach John Cook from the NSI Marills team. Lynette Bourbon has been apresented as the new coach.

A 20-team league that act as the second-level of the pyramid in the NSI Soccer Leagues. They will play against each other twice, same way as the main league. Thanks to that, this year, the league will have four qualifiers to the Northern Sunrise Islands Times Sunrising League.

"NSI Marills upset Mist City Floaztels, Lynder and Davencreek fall."
Sounds like an appocaliptical day, right? Not at all. The unbeaten Lynder and Davencreek suffered their first losses at this season. Lynder lost to the Hippotigrines, who once again shock the league after an unexpected 1-0. "We did our obligation" says Midfielder and Scorer Fábio Barata, "I don't see why such heat. We just beaten one team, that's life. They will grab their pieces and continue to win in the future, I'm sure." Davencreek in the other hand lost to the Crassweil Houndooms by 2-1. But the biggest upset comes from the Nation's main jock, the Northern Sunrise Island Marills finally won a match against the Mist City Floatzels in a sonore 5-0. New manager Lynette Bourbon declared "I don't know what happened, I just tried to teach them how to play as a team and we rolled against the Floatzels. May we not think that all matches are going to be this easy. Other scores: Neuville beat Ayeville (2-0), Seaside beat Mardi (1-0), Mallwill beat Saint Anne and Jacob (3-1), Tivoli beat Mabel 1-0, Demonocracy and Brentwood ties (1-1).
MATCHDAY 6
Neuville Scythers 2-0 Ayeville Pikachus
Mist City Floatzels 0-5 NSI Marills
Mardi Lopunnies 0-1 Seaside Wartortles
Mallwill Hitmonlees 3-1 Saint Anne and Jacob Shrimps

Lynder Frosslasses 0-1 Ultima Escolha Hippotigrines
Demonocracy of Metal Zombies 1-1 Brentwood Charizards
Davencreek Victinis 1-2 Crassweil Houndooms

"Seaside and Tivoli rail their opponents by big differences."
Mabel and Metal were the victims as Seaside and Tivoli had one great Matchday against them. Seaside railed Mabel 5-0. "I got myself surprised." says Lisander Holmes, goalie of Seaside. "It has been a decent season and this score seems to show that we are doing great.". Meanwhile, Tivoli beaten Demonocracy of Metal 5-1. Metal's Goalie Mario Simmons declared "Well... That's new. I guess those two Martinis I had before the match really didn't put me in shape." In other scores: Ayeville beats Mist City (5-4), Mardi destroy Neuville (5-1), Mallwill beats NSI (1-0), Saint Anne and Jacob ties with Lynder (2-2), Davencreek beats Ultima Escolha (3-1) and Crassweil destroy Brentwood (6-1).

Ultima Escolha Hippotigrines 1-3 Davencreek Victinis
Brentwood Charizards 1-6 Crassweil Houndooms

"What a win! Demonocracy of Metal upset Seaside! Marills upset Lynder!"
Two unexpected results happened this time. Seaside, coming from a decent number of victories lost to first time match winners' Demonocracy of Metal by a sonore 5-2. "It was crazy, man. Totally crazy." says Eddie Pinhead, forward of the Zombies. Another upset, by a smaller score happened as recently top positioned team Lynder Frosslasses got beaten by the NSI Marills by 3-1. Michael Cottonwood, top player of the team said "We are still far from the top, but with wins like these, we can sure guarantee a title victory." Other scores at this Matchday: Ayeville beats Mardi (5-3), Mallwill ties with Mist City (1-1), Mabel beats Neuville (1-0), Davencreek beats Saint Anne and Jacob (4-1), Tivoli beats Crassweil (4-1) and Ultima Escolha beats Brentwood (2-0).

Demonocracy of Metal Zombies 5-2 Seaside Wartortles
Davencreek Victinis 4-1 Saint Anne and Jacob Shrimps
Crassweil Houndooms 1-4 Tivoli City Venassaurs
Brentwood Charizards 0-2 Ultima Escolha Hippotigrines

"NSI U-20 continue to upset big teams, victim is Davencreek."
Recently nicknamed the Bourbon Family, the Marills have showed that Lynette's touched was all they needed to obtain some wins after all. And, wow, how good are these wins? This time, Davencreek Victinis was the victim by 2-0. "Heheh, I'm thankful that the squad loves me. We all play together, me at the bench, they at the field. I know that most of the times I act like a younger sister for them but it works, so, go Big Bros!" declared coach Lynette Bourbon, laughing. This week was particulary less-goaled than the other ones. The biggest margin came from the Ultima Escolha Hippotigrines as they have beaten Tivoli City 3-0. Ultima Escolha defender Felipe Pessoa said "Maybe the defenses have became a little tougher. The ironical thing is that they have said that there would be no relegation this year, so things should be working the other way around."
Rest of Scores: Ayeville beats Mallwill (2-1), Mardi and Mabel ties (1-1), Mist City beats Lynder (3-2), Neuville and Metal ties (0-0), Seaside beats Cressweil (2-1) and Saint Anne and Jacob beats Brentwood (2-1).
MATCHDAY 9
Ayeville Pikachus 2-1 Mallwill Hitmonlees
Mardi Lopunnies 1-1 Mabel Wigglytuffs
Mist City Floatzels 3-2 Lynder Frosslasses
Neuville Scythers 0-0 Demonocracy of Metal Zombies
NSI Marills 2-0 Davencreek Victinis
Seaside Wartortles 2-1 Crassweil Houndooms
Saint Anne and Jacob Shrimps 2-1 Brentwood Charizards
Tivoli City Venassaurs 0-3 Ultima Escolha Hippotigrines

"Davencreek is back in black, Mist City falls to the Land Down Under and Marills ties with the Brent Who?"
Davencreek regained the lost health against the Marills by beating Mist City to a destroying 6-0 score. Jacob Simms said "We needed to pay back what the Marills did. And to be sincere, the Floatzels have been a punching bag since the start.", the left-winger completed with "It may not totally heal the pain that they left on us, but it's good to win.". In fact, Mist City has fallen so hard that they are in the fifteenth position, only in the front of the Brentwood Charizards. The Brentwood team has not yet proven why they are nicknamed the Charizards, as they continue to not win. The only thing they got was a tie, nil-nil with the NSI Marills. Brentwood Goalie Matt Cameron declared "What can I say? We didn't lose. Great!". The other scores in the Matchday were: Ayeville beats Mabel (2-1), Lynder loses to Mallwill (3-1), Mardi beats Metal (5-4), Crassweil ties with Neuville (0-0), Ultima Escolha beats Seaside (1-0) and Tivoli beats Saint Anne and Jacob (2-0).
MATCHDAY 10
Mabel Wigglytuffs 1-2 Ayeville Pikachus
Lynder Frosslasses 1-3 Mallwill Hitmonlees
Demonocracy of Metal Zombies 4-5 Mardi Lopunnies
Davencreek Victinis 6-0 Mist City Floatzels
Crassweil Houndooms 0-0 Neuville Scythers
Brentwood Charizards 0-0 NSI Marills
Ultima Escolha Hippotigrines 1-0 Seaside Wartortles
Tivoli City Venassaurs 2-0 Saint Anne and Jacob Shrimps

The Davencreek team continues to hold their leadership tight, however, not as tight in the past, since the Tivoli Venassaurs are just eight goals away from the leader position. Meanwhile, Ultima Escolha uneligible, is from one point of distance. Ayeville and Seaside benefit from that, as they earn the qualyfing spots for the Globe Cup. Saint Anne and Jacob run a little far, together with Crassweil and Mallwill. Lynder keeps skydiving from the top to bottom, now at nineth as they encounter with the NSI Marills who created a strong reaction as of late, followed by the Neuville Scythers, that seem to be losing Michael Leminski who may eventually leave the team in future. Mardi is one point behind, Mabel is two, Demonocracy of Metal is three, Mist City is four and the Brentwood is far by a bunch.

Gordonopia Football Federation - UICA Entrants

With the first season of the Gordonopia Premier League over, and the domestic championship, the Gordonopia Cup, now complete, the Gordonopia Football Federation is ready to announce its first entrants into UICA competitions. The spot for the Champions Cup will go to the winner of the Gordonopia Cup and fourth place finisher in the GPL, Kaje Football. The spots in the Globe Cup were designated to go to the league leader in the GPL, and the second and third place finishers in the Gordonopia Cup. However, because the third place finisher, FC Deska, had already qualified as winner of the GPL, the third remaining spot will go to the Kjeldor Knights, fourth place finisher in the Gordonopia Cup.

"The Samba made Brighton dance with five goals, Matthew City goes cosplay."
A very unexpected way to mock your opponent happened as the Matthew City Rangers' supporters went to face the South Villages United. Before the match, which the Rangers would win by 3-1, some Rangers supporters came dressed as some characters from Law and Order: Special Victimis Unit, based on the acronym that is used by the South Villages United, SVU, with Rangers shirts. From the second division, the Carnival City Samba pulled a 5-0 at the Brighton City Hove. The Samba are still unbeaten at the Football League One.

Samba continue their way, Lillepool rolls thru Preston, Lynder Utd. do the same to Heartline.

At the Third Division, Lynder United, from the same city of the Frosslasses got a big score as well, six to nil against the Heartline City Passionfruit Knights.

"Rangers' new mascot brings new luck, Byrd City classic ends in tie."
The Matthew City Rangers' fan club, responsible for the SVU Costumes designed a mascot for the team, Matthew the Ranger, a dark-haired young boy with a fire fighter helmet and the team uniform. And the young number #99, number selected for the mascot, has started his job nicely as the Rangers won against the Ross Hill Mythians. Byrd City fielded its first classic as the Attack and the Penguins faced off for the League Three. Sgt. James Byrd, the one who gave his name to the city watched the match and happily declared "Both Byrd City teams have shown integrity and ability, as you can see by the three goals that each team scored. I'm proud of both.".

"Brentwood puts salt on Mist City's wound, Mardi runs through Crassweil."
Brentwood decided to give a little help to Mist City's way to last position by winning! And not only winning, taking down the Floatzels 4-0. Brentwood Goalie Matt Cameron declared "Yes! Yes! Victory! Our first victory!". Brentwood's crowd made a big party after such historical feat. Mardi, the team on the shadow of the Marills got a 6-0 victory at the Houndooms.

"Davencreek takes the victory on a wounded Lynder, Ayeville obtains victory."
The mighty Davencreek continues on freeway as the Lynder Frosslasses, once appointed as possible opponents for the title, weren't able to stop the Victinis, who won by 6-1. Davencreek fan club already starts to think of the Champions' Cup, maybe a little too soon, but who can blame them. The Pikachus were able to stop Demonocracy of Metal by a good score, 6-2. As usual, however, the attentions were sent to the Mighty Pikachu, team's mascot and also annoyance of the main team.

"One man down Scythers get beaten by the Marills."
If things weren't going smooth to the Neuville Scythers, they got even worse. Michael Leminski, star of the team got injured during the match as a strong tackle broke his left foot. "Not that the Scythers will be missing him." declares Sports Analyist Matthew Serreno, "He may be a good player, but the Scythers aren't just working with him.". Lynette Bourbon, coach of the Marills said "Sorry for him. That tackle was a mistake and we shall work hard to avoid such injuries. Fair Play is the base of our team." In the end, NSI won 5-2.

The NSI Marills and the Mardi Lopunnies played at a filled Allejo Stadium to watch as the Marills won 3-0. This crowns the good period that the Marills have been into since the adding of coach Lynette Bourbon. At the Yukuno Stadium, Mabel and Saint Anne and Jacob shown a festival of goals as ten goals were scored. Six for the Shrimps and Four for the Wigglytuffs.

"Crazy Day at the Sunrising League."
What a collection of weird moments! To start off, Brentwood won 4-1 against Ayeville, Davencreek and Tivoli City tied 1-1, Neuville was able to beat Mallwill 4-2 after losing their star to an injury that has yet to be known how long it will take him to return, Mabel stopped the uprising NSI Marills 2-0 and even Mist City won! What a day!
MATCHDAY 15
Ayeville Pikachus 1-4 Brentwood Charizards
Crassweil Houndooms 1-1 Ultima Escolha Hippotigrines
Davencreek Victinis 1-1 Tivoli City Venassaurs

Lynder Frosslasses 1-0 Seaside Wartortles
Mabel Wigglytuffs 2-0 NSI Marills
Mallwill Hitmonlees 2-4 Neuville Scythers
Mardi Lopunnies 0-1 Mist City Floatzels

Davencreek keeps their lead and the spot to the Champion's Cup. Thanks to the lift that the U-20 teams recieved, Tivoli finds itself in a nice place as the first Globe Cup qualified team, Ayeville and the Northern Sunrise Islands U-20 team made in, remembering that the NSI Marills are part of the federation, so they can play as a representant, old representant Seaside follows, with Lynder and Seaside following. Mallwill is close with Crassweil on conditions. Mabel and Mardi are a little far, Demonocracy of Metal, Mist City and good old Brentwood still is the last placed team.

Random Trivia: North Side, currently right at the bottom of Carmadin's football pyramid, has yet to do anything but lose this season. They are 0-0-10 in the National League, and made a quick exit in the Carmadin Shield, losing 0-5 (0-2, 0-3) in the First Round against Chahr Senators
