FEDERAÇÃO LUSITANA DE FUTEBOL
Official Season Review

Primeira Divisão
THE LIONS' KINGDOM

The previous edition of the Primeira Divisão saw Porto lift the title, but many clubs would like to lift the crown. Coming into the league were Elvas and Real Bragança. The former had invested heavily in their previous season's venture, whilst Real Bragança had managed some youth loans from other clubs in their maintenance project. Marítimo had also been busy buying National team player José Virginia from Tomar and Domingos Armilar from his short spell at Leiria. The main contenders had also done some shopping but Sevilha's purchase of Cancela was particularly notable. Sporting and Sevilha were seen as the main contenders as Belém, Braga and Académica seemed to have some problems during the break.
A sunny day greeted the new league as Braga greeted Sevilha for the first match of the season, which resulted in a 0-1 win for the away side with Porto beating Bemfica starting their title defence as Sporting stumbled at the race start. By the end of August, after four matches there was a big surprise - both promoted sides led the table along with Porto, all on ten points. The surprise would be even bigger when Porto lost to Belém in the following game meaning only they led and by the week after Real Bragança was isolated following their hom win against the title holders (2-1). Their heavy loss to Leiriense away by 4-0 gave the top spot back to Elvas. Despite a recapture by the Bragantinos, after ten matches both were back on top. Their losses of points in three consecutive matches gave Elvas a chance to retake it, albeit with Sporting CL, following their defeat at Porto (1-0). As those two led with 26 points, after a third of the matches, Porto and Sevilha chased on 24, with Bragança and Marítimo a Point behind (23) and Belém and Flaviense (22). At that moment, Belavista and Beira-Ria would go down with S.Miguel and Portimão a point from the drop. All the way to the end of the first round, they couldn't be seperated, not even by their game (0-0) with the same teams chasing them with SCUT and Guimarães joining it. The face of relegation now encapsulated Portimão instead of Belavista who wasn't at all safe as Covilhã joined the peril.
Back with the action at the top, Sporting eventually got full control of the helm two games later when Sevilha won on the road by 1-2 with a goal by Gama. The next matches were all about control, and, arguably they did it well losing points only in their loss to Académica at home, which wasn't felt in the standings due to their direct contenders all having less consistency, particularly between themselves. So by matchday 26, they led by six points over Porto, with Elvas a point behind, and Sevilha two. Guimarães, Marítimo, SCUT all fought for the final spot in the international trophies. Portimão and Belavista were in the relegation area, although S.Miguel were equal on points with the chequered team with several teams within the drop. A few weeks later, Matchday 31 was one of the main games that would indicate that the title was practically theirs. After an all-important win by Sporting CL against Porto (1-0), as Sevilha and Elvas lost in this game, they only needed about to continue the form to win the title. In the next two weeks, Porto and Sporting's wins to Elvas made them grow distanced of the Runners-Up. In Matchday 34, Sporting lost to União Leiriense. Despite this, Porto's defeat in Aveiro meant that this would be enough for the Championship, due to the number of games.
So, by the end of the Matchday 38, Sporting Clube da Lusitânia became Champions, with Porto runners-up, although by thirteen points difference. Due to close competition for the international sports, Marítimo and Sevilha capture the Challenger's Cup as Vitória Guimarães qualifying for the IFCF competitions as well. SCUT despite the same points, will be sent to the Vilitan Invitational as Best Defence and by Position. Elvas sadly didn't manage to reach these spots despite an amazing season and Beira-Ria got 8th despite hanging by relegation during the initial phases. Coimbra and Flaviense managed a mid-table in a rollercoaster edition of the league for them and the mighty Bragança fell down to eleventh. Braga and Belém had disappointing seasons plagued with injury and in the end, S.Miguel and Portimão were relegated two games from the end. A great season for many teams but Sporting CL managed to triumph with style in one of the most thrilling seasons to date.

Segunda Divisão - Liga de Honra
SOUTHERN GLORY

Meanwhile in the Liga de Honra, the winner was obvious but unexpected, simultaneously. The three teams coming up from Segunda B were Barreirense, União de Amarante and Póvoa SC, as well as Sporting Faro and Vitória de Setúbal from the top tier. Seven teams led the table throughout the matchdays this season, four of which led in the first five matchdays, these being Espinho, Alcântara, Amarante and Barreiro. After Matchday 6, Desp. Penafiel took care of the top place for the remainder of the first batch of games, the exception being Matchdays 9 and 10, led by Cádis. By Matchday 23, Faro were two points off, with Oriental and Bético close by. At the moment, going down were Lisbonense, Amadora and former leaders Espinho with customary First Division side Vitória de Setúbal in danger of falling down to the area. It seemed like Penafiel were on course to the title, but their defeat to Guarda made Faro the new leader. Sporting Faro would continue in this position until Matchday 44. On Matchday 41, Cádis climbed up to second whilst Penafiel fell down to third, which was consolidated with a 0-3 away win as Bético beat Faro away 0-1, meaning the Andaluzians were a point from the leaders. In the next matchday, Cádis drew with Faro which would´ve usually meant a consolidation up top, as meanwhile, Amadora would be the first to go down. The following week, Faro and Cádis had unexpected losses (Faial 2-1 and Matosinhos 1-0, respectively), giving Penafiel a chance to creep up two points behind the leader - Faro 78, Cádis 77, Desp.Penafiel 76.
In the penultimate matchday, Faro lost the lead of the championship as Guarda beat them 1-0, Cádis being the new leaders on 83, with Desportivo Penafiel a point behind, following both teams' wins, as Desportivo Lisbonense went down. In the final matchday, all three teams had their continental spots guaranteed but promotion and the title was still up for grabs. Cádis lost to Atlético and now awaited the result of Penafiel vs.Sporting Faro, which managed them promotion but not the title, with a 2-0 Faro win, as Espinho was relegated at the hand in Barreiro.

La Ligue oméricaine de soccer professionnel · The Omerican Professional Soccer League
12 Rue Georges-Robert
Ⅰᵉʳ Centre-Ville, RB 31-C27
RÉPUBLIQUES UNIES D’OMÉRIQUE · UNITED REPUBLICS OF OMERICA

To whom it may concern:

The United Republics of Omerica has unfortunately been gripped by a pandemic of Maxtopian Pox over the past two months. The Omerican Professional Soccer League has been closely monitoring the public health situation over the course of these months and made the decision to suspend professional football indefinitely after matchweeks 16 and 17 could not be completed.

In light of this pandemic the governments of several republics—including Mespalia, Romainbourg, Strathavon, East Calaverde and the Free State—ordered the postponement or cancellation of all sporting events in their respective jurisdictions. This had the consequence of forcing the abandonment of the OPSL Challenge Cup final at the Stade de la République and has prevented clubs in these republics from completing league fixtures.

The House of Plenipotentiaries has now taken the extraordinary step of approving a request by the Omerican Federal Government to declare a state of emergency for the whole of the United Republics. As part of this state of emergency, the Omerican Federal Government has issued a stay-at-home order for all Omerican residents. As such, it is impossible for the Omerican Professional Soccer League to complete all of its fixtures for the season and OPSL clubs have consequently unanimously agreed to invoke the League’s abandonment contingencies.

As the season was abandoned after its halfway point, international qualifications will be awarded on the basis of the tables as they stood after matchweek 15; to ensure that the round-robin format is maintained, the results of the partially-completed sixteenth and seventeenth matchweeks have been expunged. As a full season could not be completed, no divisional championships and will be awarded and no promotion or relegation will take place.

As neither the United Republican Soccer Federation Cup or OPSL Challenge Cup could be completed before the cancellation of the season, the following contingency plan shall apply:
  • The n highest-placing clubs in the Premier Division shall qualify for the Champions League, where n is the number of berths assigned to Omerica by the IFCF. (Nota bene: Omerica is assigned one berth.)
  • The three highest-placing clubs in the Premier Division not qualified for the Champions League shall qualify for the Challengers Cup.
  • The three highest-placing clubs in the Second Division shall qualify for the Champions Trophy.
The health and safety of the Omerican public and of our players are of the utmost concern to the Omerican Professional Soccer League. It is because of this concern that we have regrettably had to abandon the season, but placing innocent people at risk of death would be grossly foolish and irresponsible. We will keep the International Federation of Club Football informed of any further developments in regards to Maxtopian Pox and will pray for the speedy recovery of all Omericans who are afflicted with the virus.

We apologise for any inconvenience.

Sincerely,
[signed]
Arielle Valériane Voclain

THE ROYAL LEGANDIAN FOOT-BALL ASSOCIATION

BACK TO BACK!... JUST ABOUT

Leighton Albion finished the league on a high note, but could they be able to defend it? This year, Sporting Legandia returned to the top tier of Legandian football as Bournecastle debuted. Real Canterford opened the season this year in a 1-3 defeat whilst their city counterparts, Canterford SC led the league after beating Stagmouth Athletic as well as Innsbrooke. The fourth week and final matchday of August saw three teams at the top - the Stallions, Canterford SC; the Dolphins of Lincolnpoole FC; and Sporting Legandia. However, Canterford's victory at Sporting in the following round saw them stay top with Lincolnpoole, pushing the newcomer's below and the following week the Canterley team headed west to Royal Crownbridge where yet another defeat left Lincolnpoole isolated at the top. Despite the next game being at Canterford, the Dolphins managed to come out unscathed with a 0-2 win. The gap maintained itself on the six points despite losses to Easttex (2-3, Away) and Bournecastle (1-2, Home) and a draw to Crownbridge and Stagmouth Athletic meant that after thirteen games, Lincolnpoole led with a one point gap from high rising Leighton Albion, as well as Marcoton Academical. On the opposite side, the other Marcoton side, City maintained itself at the bottom with only six points with Newville on ten, Griffonham on eleven and Innsbrooke on fourteen. Lincolnpoole's defeat to a strugging Innsbrooke saw them drop down to second as Leighton took the top spot, albeit on goal difference. The following game was at Delphwood, Lincolnpoole beat Leighton Albion by 2-1 retaking the lead and later passing Christmastime up top, though Albion was a point behind with Academical and Fercastle three points behind them. Boxing Day is usually a good celebration of football and this year provided some interesting football - Lincolnpoole drew with Royal Standard but Albion couldn't capitalise following a defeat at Kingsfort. The same thing happened on New Year's Day when the Dolphins drew at Sporting but Albion lost to Easttex. However, this meant something most overlooked - Stagmouth Athletic. Their victory in the following matchdat meant that they now stood top. This would only last most of January however when their losses to Standard and Bournecastle gave the Lions back their position briefly as their defeat at Griffonham would provide an opportunity for Stagmouth to return. On Matchday 29, Albion's draw at Canterford away and Stagmouth's home loss to Crownbridge meant Kingsfort were now in the running as well and when the two leaders met with a 0-4 win to the Lions, they now all stood top follwoing a Kingsfort draw at Canterford. Stagmouth lost the following week as well but Stagmouth's loss to Lincolnpoole the following weekend meant that now only Albion and Kingsfort stood top. Whilst many were seeing a repeat of last year's joint top situation, this resolved itself nicely with a surprise win by Marcoton City by 2-0 at home against Albion, meaning the Poppies now stood alone at the peak after a draw with Sporting. Should it stay like this we witnessing a fairytale, something unique, the first league title of the club. The happiness and chanting at the end of the last match was short lived as their loss at the tough stadium of Royal Standard, the Riverside, meant that Albion's 3-1 victory against Academical was enough for them to go top. Crestfallen, the Poppies believed in the possibility of a good result from Albion as well as their own at none other than Delphwood. Unfortunately, they drew away at Lincolnpoole and Albion would go on to win the title in the final matchday following another 0-4 win at Legandia as Innsbrooke found some points with the same margin against Stagmouth Athletic, surprisingly enough. It was over. Leighton Albion had just about managed it, the back to back title!

Kingsfort found solace in going to the Liga dos Vencedores as well as Mark Sherry's Golden Boot in the youngster's best season yet. Stagmouth managed IFCF qualification in third as Fercastle happily embarked in their first ever international journey. The final FFI spot would go to Royal Standard as winners of the current trophy as well as the League Cup once more as Lincolnpoole secured a ticket to Vilita. Canterford SC embarked towards the Cup Winners Cup following their victory. Valefort were consistent once more despite not qualifying for anything and Griffonham had a positive season at Guild Park sharing the same points as Canterford and Academical who in contrast were disappointed after just missing out on the title last season. The Easttex wall did it's job once more as Newville, Innsbrooke and Canterford all reached forty, albeit not being their objectives for the season. Canterford's Johnson was injured for a good part of the season, meaning their main striker was missing from the Strattside side.
A few teams were in relegation but in the end, it was Bournecastle going back down and Marcoton City who eventually got some more wins after just one before Christmas as Sporting Legandia and Royal Crownbridge managed to stay up without the magic forty.
As Albion celebrate the title once again, what can we expect next year or in the international tournaments? It remains to be seen, but Legandia will surely have a good title and relegation fight once more as the fans' passion is seen week in week out at the eighteen grounds. Come August once more, it'll all be back under the shining sun and until then we bid you goodbye.

SEASON QUICKLOOK

The Tropical Trophy is a seasonal competition between the Vilitan Stellar Division Champions and Vilitan Cup Champions. There has been some controversy as to whether it is a "Season Ending" event or a "Season beginning" event, though it has tended to be closer to the start of the new season, then the end of the previous one.

Starting in Season 57, Vilitan/Turorian Dual National referee Nuliko Meteorik officiated the Tropical Trophy from a press box at the Tivali Ring Stadium with a suite of action cameras and video reviews to be used in competition to a degree never before seen. The move to the press box for the head referee was in part the chance to use the Tropical Trophy as a test bed for introducing technology to the game, and partially to spare Meteorik the embarassment of not being able to keep pace with the players many years his younger. A pair of assistant referee's were still located pitch side. This method of officiating has continued at the Tropical Trophy as well as having been expanded to the Vilitan Cup and Tropicorp Cup competitions. In lieu of a whistle, a horn sounds over the PA system at the stadium when Meteorik needs to stop play while video screens and communication with the on-field assistants as required provide further details of the infraction and its result.

After a rare absence from the Tropical Trophy during Season 60, the Turoki Tide returned for their 10th Tropical Trophy appearance in the previous 12 seasons - a stretch which had seen the team claim 8 of 9 Tropical Trophies contested. Their opponent would be Jungle Strike FC, the reigning Stellar Division Champions and all-time winningest side in Tropical Trophy history with 18 Trophies won. However Strike's most recent Tropical Trophy victory had come in Vilitan League season 48. In that timespan, the Turoki Tide had secured 8 of their 10 all time Tropical Trophy triumphs.

The two biggest clubs in Vilitan Sport would clash on the field in the capital city at the Tivali Ring Stadium. Both teams had doubts cast upon their aging goalkeeping corps in recent seasons and the Turoki Tide decided to go out and do something about it. Longtime Tide netminder and current Assistant Manager Ondrej Cech recruited fellow Quebecois National Team goalkeeper Okropir Cadwaladr-Andjaparidze to the team and the Tropical Trophy would be the first chance to test the gloves for the clubs rare new signing.

After six straight Tropical Trophy contests that resulted in only a single team scoring during the match, there were hopes that the two historically attack-minded super powers of Vilitan sport would put on a good show for once and the fans in Alikki-Corra would not be disappointed in a high action first half that eventually saw both teams trade goals to return to the locker rooms level at one goal a piece.

For the Turoki Tide, the goal came from Domara D'tasmih in the 23rd minute but it wouldn't be long before Cosumarite midfielder Kai-Kai Mokumdarian leveled the scores for Jungle Strike FC. As may have been expected, the second half grew to a more tense affair as the clock started ticking toward the allocation of silverware. The complexion of the match would change for the final time when Strike were awarded a free kick 25 yards from goal. The delivery came from Eivind Strommen who found the youngster Nua'oma Aikiki inside the area but Aikiki couldn't get a clean hit on the ball which bonuced off the defender and out back to the wing where Strommen played the ball back in quickly. In the back and forth choas, Mokumdarian was left unmarked and skillfully found the upper corner with the shot that gave Jungle Strike FC a 2-1 lead that they would take to full time and claim their 19th Tropical Trophy title.

Statwise:
:: This is Jungle Strike FC's 19th Tropical Trophy Victory in their 36th appearance
:: This is the Turoki Tide's 5th Tropical Trophy Defeat in their 15th appearance
:: This is the 6th Tropical Trophy contested between Lonngeylin Coast (3) and Eastal Lunar (3)
:: This is the 7th Tropical Trophy that ended in a 2-1 scoreline

Tropical Trophy Host Site:

Tivali Ring Stadium - Alikki-Corra, Vilita (87,000 Capacity)
The Football Association of Vilita is based at the Tivali-Ring Stadium in the capital city of Alikki-Corra, Vilita and many National Team training sessions take place on the grounds of the Tivali Ring. The Football Association regularly schedule matches at arenas throughout Vilita, especially bigger matches as many of the stadiums that host Stellar Division and UICA competition matches have expanded far beyond the capacity of the National Stadium at Tivali Ring, which is used only for the National Team, and, for the Vilitan Cup Final and Tropical Trophy match up. In addition to its World Cup matches, 'The Ring' hosted the 40th UICA Series 'B' Champions Cup Final. The stadium was constructed as part of the Vilitan bid to host the World Cup 14 Cup of Harmony as a replacement to the former National Stadium in Lopinka that was destroyed during a regional conflict.

SEASON REPORT:

Defending Stellar Division champions Jungle Strike FC got the season off to a mediocre start with a 2-2 draw against Rammsissil at home following the raising of the banner at the Lonngeylin Coliseum to celebrate their record 23rd Vilitan Stellar Division title. Vanorian defender Eivind Strommen and Equestrian forward Midnight Strike had the goals for the defending champions as the temporarily moved joint top of the table on 1 point with the rest of the clubs ready to kick off the season the following day. They would get the result they were hoping for on matchday two with a confident 3-0 victory over Cednia Beach AFC that cast aside any doubts that Strike FC's aging squad were ready to compete for the title again this season, particularly as one of Strikes goals came from their new Turorian Under-21 starlet Nua'oma Aikiki.

One of the defining matches of the early part of the season came on Matchday 6 at Lunar Park in Seraai where Eastal Lunar hosted the defending champion Jungle Strike FC. The Astronauts came into the day one point behind Strike for second place in the league table and were looking to take advantage of their powerhouse National Team star-laden lineup as their fans wondered if they were right in the peak of their potential championship winning window, or if the window was already starting to close on the franchises best ever chance to secure their first ever Stellar Division title.

Audioslavish Whateverybollocks attacker Olly Masiku set the tone early in the game after being brilliantly sent through by Vilitan National winger Limu Katarakhna. Fifteen minutes later Katarakhna once again was the playmaker this time setting up Vilitan star Nii'arala Milaaso as Eastal Lunar took a 2-0 lead. Three time World Cup winning goalkeeper Zelkki Milake held Strike off the scoresheet to secure the shutout as Eastal Lunar collected an early statement victory to move into second place behind early leaders Turoki Tide.

First Half Rivalry Roundup ::

Turoki Tilt: The Turoki Tilt is contested whenever any of the three teams in Turoki City, Turoki Island competes. Turoki United were relegated from the Stellar Division following season 58 so no Turoki Tilt was contested.

Sile Showdown: The Sile Showdown was put on hold for Season 61 following Makosile United's relegation down to the Declasse Division.

Lonngeylin Derby: The second longest running major derby, two of the biggest clubs in Vilita must co-exist just down the road from one another and now compete not only for pride but for championships.

Lonngeylin Coast 1-1 Jungle Strike FC

Cednia Clash: With the shock relegation of Mliona-Lpaka AFC, the three Turorian teams remaining in the Stellar Division included a pair of teams from Cednia.

The Vilitan Classico: The original dominant forces of the Stellar Division, there is still a special charm whenever the Yeaddin Owls and Marine Coast United square off against each other.

While the Turoki Tide had taken command of the table while the defending champions continued to drop points through draws, Eastal Lunar were hanging on to their coat tails. In perhaps the least exciting match placement of the campaign, the leaders would meet for the final time on Matchday 15, a full 11 games prior to the end of the season.

If the lack of anticipation due to the early scheduling of the match wasn't enough to keep the match from the excitement that a table topping clash would typically have, the match itself was not an entertaining affair with only 4 shots combined for both sides as they seemed content to settle the championship on the books with their remaining schedules while sharing the points on the day in a match that ended 0-0. The result also allowed the field to close in with Colonial Sile closing to within five points of the lead in search of their first Stellar Division title while the defending champions were starting to return to form just one further point back in 4th place.

The Tide would be held again on Matchday 16 by 5th placed side Lonngeylin Coast in a result that would allow Eastal Lunar to pull level at the Top of the table while Strike FC moved into third place after a 1-0 victory over relegation threatened Kionao Locals.

There was a bit more excitement on Matchday 19 when the two teams looking to challenge for Turoki Tide's perch would first square off against each other for the right to fight the Tide. Jungle Strike FC would play host to Eastal Lunar, trailing the second place side by two points entering the day. The Astronauts had gotten the better of the defending champions in their first meeting at Lunar Park in Seraai and Strike were looking not only for revenge but also to move to second place in the table. Like each of the table-topping clashes that preceded them, however, nothing would be settled on the day with the match ending in a 1-1 draw. There was at least some excitement in this one, however, with the capacity crowd packing the hillsides at the Lonngeylin Coliseum and having the chance to erupt when the young Turorian starlet Nua'oma Aikiki put Strike in front ten minutes into the second half, only to be silenced just two minutes later when Kentu Umaka'a leveled for the visitors. The three-horse race for the title remained tight with Eastal Lunar now trailing the Turoki Tide by two points with Strike FC a further two back in third place.

Strike FC's title defense took a hit on Matchday 20 in the Lonngeylin Derby with Lonngeylin Coast still fighting for their own right to be considered title challengers and not willing to give their rivals any slack in a 1-1 draw

The Biggest match of the season came on the Penultimate matchday with Strike FC hosting the Turoki Tide at the Lonngeylin Coliseum. While Strike had been eliminated from title contention one matchday prior, they were still fighting to keep the Tide out of the top spot and secure their place in the IFCF Champions League. With Eastal Lunar's convincing victory earlier in the Day, the Turoki Tide would need a victory to keep first place going into the final matchday. Strike FC had no plans to make it easy for them however and Vanorian defender Eivind Strommen put the hosts in front from the penalty spot in the 23rd minute. The Turoki Tide thought they had one back just after half time but it was ruled out for offside in a moment that not only turned the match but possibly the entire season as well. Kai-kai Mokumdarian would score twice in the next fifteen minutes and Midnight Strike would add a dagger in the 75th minute to put Jungle Strike FC 4-0 in a validation match that displayed they were still a force to be reckoned with even if they were not to be season champions. The Tide would not give up and would ultimately fall 4-1 to go into the final day in unfamiliar territory trailing by a point.

After 60 seasons of disappointment, all that stood between Eastal Lunar and their first ever Stellar Division title was 13th place relegation threatened side Cedniavella. A victory for the Astronauts would secure the title regardless of what the Turoki Tide did against Arcticala Inlet

It was a shame for the fans of the Seraai based club that the season ended on an away day, and to make matters worse, it was an away day in Turori. It was a great day for viewing parties in the mountains of central Vilita however and they all went up in cheers when Nii'arala Milaaso converted on a dazzling individual display 20 minutes in. There were still droves of Astronaut supporters in the stands at Cednia Park and they were buzzing at half time after Cedniavella were down to 10 players and they could taste victory in their hands.

Over at the Turoki Community Complex, the Turoki Tide were taking care of business. Already up 2-0 over Arcticala Inlet, they were ready to pounce should Eastal Lunar concede a goal. It had to be three points for the Astronauts to claim the title.

The second half would be as much a celebration as a clinic for Eastal Lunar as goals from Olly Masiku and Kentu Umaka'a secured the victory and a long awaited first ever Stellar Division title for Eastal Lunar.

Vilita (VIL) final site bid

IFCF Champions League: Lunar Park - Seraai, Vilita (129,000 Seated)
Lunar Park became the largest stadium in Vilita at the time of its construction. Although some stadiums have added poor quality seating to exceed the 129,000 capacity mark, Lunar Park offers quality seats all around the stadium, and onlookers sometimes get treated to events such as Rocket Launches and suborbital testing as the stadium was constructed by the Vilitan Space Program overlooking some of their active launch facilities. Lunar Park is the home of Vilitan side Eastal Lunar FC and hosted the final of the Cup of Harmony 50: Golden Edition.

Turori (TUR) final site bid

IFCF Challengers Cup: Cednia Beach Center, Cednia Beach, Turori

The Cednia Beach Center is one of the purest examples of capitalism and expansion in the Vilitan Leagues. Originally a modest plot for a modest team, the stadium has risen along with the rise of the club. Now, a world class stadium capacity wise, there are concessions that were made. The training grounds outside the center are second rate, and parking is virtually non-existent at the complex. Public transportation - including your own two feet, would be required for fans to access the stadium. Thats alright though, plenty of lodging surrounds the local area within walking distance.

Other final site bids
Cup Winners Cup: Lonngeylin Coliseum, Lonngeylin, Vilita (115,500 Seated) - 141,000 Standing Room

Image
Home of the Vilitan Stellar Division champions, Jungle Strike FC, Lonngeylin Coliseum is the biggest sporting arena in the Vilitan Cove and was chosen exactly for this purpose. Not so much 'butts in seats' - because almost one-third of the estimated attendees would be standing on the Vilitan hillside, but the capacity to hold large volumes was just one of the perks to holding the match in Lonngeylin.

One of the oldest yet most expansive stadiums in Vilita, the stadium has undergone several renovations, name changes and expansions in its long history, which included being a knockout venue for the World Cup 17 and 31 finals. Most notably, the seated sections of the Coliseum went through a complete overhaul between League Seasons 25-35 where sections were closed incrementally for upgrades. The Coliseum is known for its unique hillside accommodation which enhances one of the most impressive match atmospheres in the region.

Most famously, however, the Lonngeylin Coliseum was the venue for the World Cup 59 final that pitted The Babbage Islands against Aguazul. It was an epic championship final with the two sides fighting to a goalless draw after extra time before Aguazul triumphed in the shootout for their historic third consecutive World Cup title. The facilities at the Lonngeylin Coliseum had been upgraded over the year to handle the over-capacity crowd and extended match timeline. The venue was also selected for the Vilitan half of the "Battle of Turori" - when Vilita & Turori were drawn against each other during World Cup 64 Qualifying.

Typically, only the Jungle Strike FC or Vilita National Team 'home' fans are allowed in the south and east areas, which include both hillside seating and open hillside that can accommodate an approximately 30,000 additional fans beyond the seated capacity - depending on how far away from the stadium they wish to prop themselves. Away fans are always seated in the west grandstand. The hosting of a neutral tournament event at the arena will allow visiting fans to experience 'home' accommodations for the first time.

The Lonngeylin Coliseum is a former UICA and Cygnus Cup host site, including the successful hosting of the 47th UICA Champions Cup Final.

A beautiful masterpiece of Equestrian magical engineering, the Stadium of the Two Sisters is a true cathedral of hoofball located near the heart of Canterlot. Though nowhere near as old as other iconic venues throughout the multiverse, there's no doubt that the Equestrian national team's home stadium is the country's best-known venue. The venue was designed to be a reflection of Equestria, combining natural beauty, magic, and modernity, which is best found in the stadium's magically-sculpted crystalline roof. With a seated capacity just under 100,000 ponies, the Stadium of the Two Sisters is no stranger to hosting major sporting events, including multiple World Cup, Cup of Harmony, and AOCAF Cup Finals. Located within walking distance uphill from Canterlot's historic old town district, the stadium is easily accessible to hoofball fans staying in the city's many hotels.

HÄRLIGHET LIGAN SEASON - 1018 SEASON

Some may have noticed that, sometime in the last few weeks, Cosumar CTE'd for the first time ever since I started it in 2010. Obviously, in light of that, my pledge to RP last season in full never came to fruition.

However, Cosumar is not dead. The Härlighet Ligan is not dead.

I retro-actively posted what I HAD completed of last season's previews. A final post that summarizes the events of that season (plus awards) will be following shortly in the newswire as well. With some semblance of justice done to the 1017 season, I now feel good about scorinating the 1018 season and entering the ICFC. As before, the final results table is hidden below.

In terms of RPing this season, I've come to the apparent conclusion that I need to find an alternative RP format that is less demanding of my time and energy. This is crucial for the long-term sustainability of my continued involvement here. Sadly, I do not have as much free time as I used to. I haven't sorted out exactly what CosumarLigan seasons will look like going forward, but they will likely consist of less expansive previews and perhaps summarizing segments of each season rather than detailing every match down to each scorer.

Stay tuned at TheCourier.cos for more.

I'm not sure this is allowed, but I'd like to keep the results of last season. I wasn't able to log into NationStates last days, so I was unable to complete the season.

By the most recent results of Premiership, Liga Nacional 1 and Copa da Liga,

Lisander (LIS) qualifiers
IFCF Champions League: AS Virtus 1904
IFCF Challenger’s Cup: AC Kasandora, Club Sparta, Shamrocks FC
IFCF League B Champions Trophy: AD Lisandras, UD Três Rios, Trent United FC

If this isn't possible, there's no worry.

Best regards,

Lisander.

OOC: Ugh I am late, not sure if I can squeeze this in, but I am listing my entries first before squeezing in the RPs.
EDIT: I am done with all my RPs, below are the links to the final RPs.

Premier League Season 1 Preview
Premier League Season 1 Results/Table
Super League Season 1 Results/Table
Professional Developmental League Season 1
PFFA Cup Results
IFCF/FFI season review

Poafmersia (PFA) Qualifiers

IFCF Champions League: Mancodas City
IFCF Challenger's Cup: Dury FC, Bikarish, Dalaris City
IFCF Liga B Champions' Trophy: Trimidau Naksa, Armed Forces FC, FC United of Mancodas
IFCF Rising Stars' Cup: Dury Juniors (linked to Dury FC)
IFCF Cup Winners Cup: Dalaris City

FFI Liga dos Vencedores: Mancodas City, Dury FC, Bikarish (as defending champions)
FFI Taça das Confederações: Dalaris City

*For FFI, by ranking purposes, Bikarish does fail to get into the LdV. But does the defending champions get an extra slot in? And does Bikarish vacate the TdC slot and give it down the line? If it does, give it to Dalaris City.
EDIT: Confirmed with FFI administrators, and edited as necessary

IFCF Challengers CupCharleston Indoor Sports Arena "The Charlie Dome" (Capacity 60,000)

The Charleston Indoor Sports Arena has been the premier sports stadium in the Appalachian capital. And with Appalachias entrance into into the international footballing stage, this arena would be the perfect venue for an entrance in to international football hosting. A completely indoor stadium used for multiple sports such as Association Football, Gridiorn Football, Ice Hockey, and Basketball, the Charlie Dome would be a great host and a great venue for an upcoming nation in the world of football.

The biggest match of the season came on Matchday 18. With Mliona-Lpaka running away with the league, 12 points clear of second place Makosile United and 16 points ahead of third place team Jlinal Cove, it seemed that the Turorian side who suffered a shock relegation from the Stellar Division during Season 60 would, as expected, quicky bounce back to the top flight. Makosile United, a former Stellar Division champion who has bounced between the two leagues in recent seasons, was looking to stay in the title hunt in front of the home fans at the Track Venture Field in Sile. Victory would pull Makosile to within 9 points of the leaders while defeat would back them into the clutches of the rest of the field and potentially miss out on the promotion to the Stellar Division.

The two sides exchanged goals in the first fifteen minutes but the leaders appeared to have the opening just before half time when they were awarded a controversial penalty kick. Makosile netminder Maratopa Anita-Arua guessed right however to keep the scores level into the break. With the momentum from the penalty reprieve, veteran Makosile United midfielder Tripate Falcon scored the winner for the Makos in the 67th minute to keep their title hopes alive and stretch their lead over Jlinal Cove FC to 4 points in the promotion battle.

That would be as close as Makosile would get, however, as Mliona-Lpaka AFC would storm off to the Declasse Division title for the first time in 35 seasons. While the Turorian side were on record pace early in the season, some dropped points in the second half after they had promotion all but sealed including just one win in their final six matches resulted in a margin of victory of just 6 points. Had they won just 3 of those five games it would have set a new record for most points in a single Declasse season.

At the bottom of the table, a late season matchup at the Coliseum of the Inurahtii would decide the fate of two Turoian clubs. The home side, Inura Forests, were anchored inside the relegation zone while the Sporta Eelandii Nationals were just clear in 12th position during their first season after promotion from the Tropicorp Lower League. With a 2-0 win on the day, Sporta Eelandii pulled clear of the bottom two with an insurmountable gap resulting in relegation from the Vilitan League for Inura Forests as well as the Terrarokka Spirit.

Vilitan Cup Final:

For the second time in five seasons, Marine Coast United qualified for the Vilitan Cup Final. The Inaugural winners of the Vilitan Cup, Marine Coast United had not lifted the Vilitan Cup or any other top-level silverware in over 40 seasons and they were looking to finally give a long suffering fan base a trophy to celebrate with. The Crosaibi based side got their chance after overturning a 1-0 first leg deficit to then-Stellar Division leaders Turoki Tide in the Semi-finals with a 2-0 victory at Marine World Park thanks to the deciding goal from Vilitan National Team player Fishtii Blikala.

Jungle Strike FC, the defending Champion of the competition, would be looking to become the first team to repeat back to back as Vilitan Cup champion since they accomplished the feat during seasons 47 and 48. The teams would converge from the West to Vilita's Capital Alikki-Corra as the season traditionally begins and end at the Tivali-Ring Stadium in Alikki-Corra, the host site of bot the Tropical Trophy and the Vilitan Cup final.

Entering the match, Jungle Strike FC were clear favorites - an IFCF contender, defending Vilitan League and Cup Champions, there was little to dislike about Strike's chances. The Mariners were hungry, however, and took a strong approach to the championship match, taking the game to the defending champions from the outset. Marine Coast United had taken four shots in the opening thirty minutes and certainly seemed to be equals with their opposition, at least on the day.

It would all change, however, in the 39th minute where a team game of keep away tactics resulted in the only goal of the Vilitan Cup Final. Apple Cobbler found Marcia Kuepper who in turn found Kai-Kai Mokumdarian who then dished the ball off to Ezequiel Marchiondo who finally found Midnight Strike who blasted the ball beyond the reach of Jam'Aan Couch. It would be all Strike needed to culminate a near-perfect Cup campaign. The only blemish on the campaign from Jungle Strike FC would come at the hands of Sissil Bank, a Tropicorp Lower League that advanced to the Quarter Finals of the Vilitan Cup for just the second time in club history. Pasargan goalkeeper Hajna Palffy kept Sissil Bank in the game posting a 0-0 draw infront of the Sissil Bank supporters. But Strike had shown their dominance already with a 3-0 victory in the first leg that set them on their eventual path to victory in over Marine Coast United in Alikki-Corra

A four way tie near the foot of the table straddled the relegation zone after 29 games in the Tropicorp Lower Leagues and it was the Morata Divers the odd team out in an incredibly tight race on goal differential. THe -5 differential put up by the Divers was just 1 shy of their cross-town rival Morata Valley at -4 with Irottea and the Cocoabo Forest team just one further advanced at -3 differential. For Irottea it was a narrow escape from double relegation after having dropped from the Vilitan Declasse Division just one season ago.

For the second consecutive season it was a dominant performance from Sokattack Mliona to lead the Tropicorp Lower League Table. While they did not finish the season with quite the same points gap as they did during Season 60, the Turorian club mostly led the standings from start to finish as they look to return to the Vilitan League after a four season absense.

Sokattack Mliona 1–0 Cednia Rovers

Lopinka 2–1 Turoki Isle

A flustered young Osarian man crashes through the front door of IFCF Headquarters dropping a briefcase, which pops open, spilling paperwork all over the lobby.

After eventually gathering it all up, it transpires that he has actually missed the deadline... he hands the paperwork over to the clerk anyway, with an apologetic smile.
