Regional Competitions - Group Stage

From next year onwards, two tournaments will be played in Mkabia - a Premier League and a national Cup. This season's sole tournament combined features of both and despite running under the moniker of the Cup, should be considered as the national championship. Evidently, no participants will be send to the Cup Winners Cup.

283-284 LegaSaari Season

i. The Teams

Cluub van Fuutbol Bondstad - The Citizens
Last Season: 1st (Playoff runner-up)
Team Colours: White with purple trim
Stadium: De Stadionnationaal (50,046)
Manager: Cris Zwerte (female, 43)
First XI (3-5-2): Greetje Peri (GK: f, 34, CAPT) -- Eliot Aarden (DC: m, 22) Henri Brejzun (DC: m, 18), Cserize Apeldoorn (DC: f, 24) -- Tansi Kindvanjodi (ML: f, 22) Imaa Saari (MC: f, 34), Iola Rogevien (MC: f, 27) Mejli Humel (MC: f, 22) Tamaara Arbeider (MR: f, 30) -- Majori Aldar (ST: f, 25), Stela Killam (ST: f, 20)
Noteable Reserves: Gervajs Tzop (DL: f, 34), Crystinn Jager (DC: f, 27), Piteur Jong (MC: m, 22), Kam Vandezer (MR: m, 31)
CF Bondstad were the surprise winners of last year's regular season - though a 6-0 humbling in the Playoff Final by De Commons meant the team start the new season with demons to banish. Lining up with much of the same side from last season, Henri Brejzun's continued rise will be the obsession of pundits though perhaps the more interesting enquiry will be if the team can continue to thrive with no obvious stars. With that in mind, avoiding injuries could be the key to repeating their success.

Tocigtuon Taun
Last Season: 2nd
Team colours: 'Razzmatazz' pink
Stadium: Grajsstraat (12,900)
Manager: Ghorgha Kindvanluuc (female, 39)
First XI (4-5-1): Lex Horn (GK: non-binary, 26) -- Caeli Tzaceu (DL: f, 29), Peri Steen (DC: f, 19), Dora Tolar (DC: f, 28), Wiktor Ster (DR: m, 31) -- Hju Miudgh (ML: m, 23), Aliuz Kapitein (MC: f, 22), Jennigje Houte (MC: f, 24), Tsaalie Pajn (MR: f, 27, CAPT) -- Ghini Bondstad (ST: f, 21)
Noteable Reserves:Ghejlz Ztrudwyk (GK: m, 36), Wylfod Klein (ST: f, 30)
Tocigtuon are the team that everyone has a soft-spot for, but that their team looks considerably weaker from the side which snuck into second place may provide for some disappointment. Dora Tolar, who spent last season as a squad player for De Commons looks like a good pick-up in defence, but she alone provides little comfort for a side picked at by the combined forces of rival teams and retirements. Nevertheless, the side have shocked people before - and will look to do so again.

De Commons Fuutbol Cluub - The Peoples' Team
Last Season: 3rd (Playoff winner)
Team Colours: Sari Green and White Hoops
Stadium: Stadion van De Commons (10,220)
Manager: Greg Nuun (male, 49)
First XI (4-5-1): Oodel Duoztiun (GK: m, 22) -- Edwina Strijd (DL: f, 24), Jaxon Pieuz (DC: m, 28, CAPT), Caul Hupeu (DC: m, 32), Diemer Haum (DR: m, 25) -- Wictor Buul (ML: m, 26), Bloem Auteberi (MC: f, 20), Lizett Aucs (AM: f, 30), Erna Ootiz (MC: f, 26), Lie Bruux (MR: m, 33) -- Wera Pauwelz (ST: f, 24)
Noteable Reserves: Gerlinde Fabiuon (GK: f, 27), Trent Kindvanbruux (DL: m, 18), Gertrud Metselaar (DC: f, 24), Winona Tolbert (MC: non-binary, 22), Sieger Coeman (MR: m, 17), Briutni Kindvanstefan (ST: f, 28)
If it were not for their playoff drubbing of CF Bondstad, Greg Nuun would probably be out of a job. Instead, The Peoples' Team come into the new season in high spirit. Indeed, on paper they are clearly the best team in the league, boasting a side full of national team players who have shown time and time again that they know how to win the LegaSaari. The purchase of Winona Tolbert and Wera Pauwelz from Tucanviul Tijgers and Tocigtuon Taun respectively are both masterful pieces of business, the later making a strong claim to being the best signing of the season.

Tucanviul Tijgers - The Tigers
Last Season: 4th
Team Colours: Black and amber stripes
Stadium: De Komnabil (12,102)
Manager: Ben Kindvanjodi (male, 34)
First XI (4-4-2): Cseralen Zwarte (GK: f, 22) -- Walt Beunaad (DL: m, 27), Criuzi Siwaad (DC: f, 20), Aydan Klei (DC: m, 19), Koelin Abes (DR: f, 30) -- Luci Berenhaad (ML: f, 20), Jodi Lauri (MC: m, 25, CAPT), Xandra Jenrik (MC: f, 24) Tiubi Jacobse (MR: f, 28) -- Lach Houten (ST: m, 26), Nona Amelsvoort (ST: f, 24)
Noteable Reserves: Ceutiz Maazden (DR: m, 21)
Tucanviul's trouble has always been their lack of consistency - and the teams late collapse from first to fourth in the closing games of the 799-800 season was painfully emblematic of this fact to their supporters - and a failure to make much of a splash in the transfer market won't settle any nerves. That said, the team possesses a number of stars - including Walt Beunaad and Jodi Lauri - who, if at their best, can provide the basis for success.

Bondstad Treason
Last Season: 5th
Team Colours: Cardinal red with white shorts and socks
Stadium: De Stadionnationaal (50,046)
Manager: Bram Ituun (male, 40)
First XI (4-2-3-1): Izi Regens (GK: f, 31) -- Coaa Kindvanhenri (WBL: f, 22), Kameron Bondstad (DC: m, 19), Bruux Ziebruux (DC: m, 34, CAPT), Epi Koemanz (WBR: f, 31) -- Zej Saari (MC: m, 24), Izajeu Nej (MC: m, 20) -- Lonau Puotnaam (AL: f, 24), Ela Klerken (AM: f, 24), Judi Buren (AR: f, 19) -- Sjors Koken (ST: m, 19)
Noteable Reserves: Poeli Rogheurz (DR: f, 22), Katrien Faanham (ST: f, 28)
After being usurped as the premier team in the capital, Bondstad Treason are in a state of flux. To their credit, they have decided to roll the dice and go all-in with their youth set-up to try and turn it around: Kameron Bondstad, Judi Buren and Sjors Koken have all made the step-up from Bondstad Academy. The flair of youth and the side's attacking football combine to stake the claim for Treason being the most exciting team to watch in the new season.

Tiugz Fuutbol Cluub
Last Season: 6th
Team Colours: Shalimar yellow with black socks
Stadium: De Huisvestig (6,099)
Manager: Hoeli Vantiugz (female, 51)
First XI (4-1-4-1): Fajtz Ajeuesh (GK: f, 29) -- Randoel Raedmaeceu (DL: m, 24), Moerius Kindvandoenaulld (DC: m, 29), Zej Zamuuol (DC: m, 22, CAPT), Cwiuntun Romeijnders (DR: m, 31) -- Marghori Atwoteu (DM: f, 30) -- Jajs Woteuman (ML: m, 28), Loerel Haadwaj (MC: f, 33), Mandi Walt (MC: f, 31), Alv Meuseu (MR: m, 19) -- Lieo Rygbi (ST: m, 24)
Noteable Reserves: Lon Hoeg (DC: m, 33), Karuolyn Lang (DC: f, 18), Klasina Zeegers (DR: f, 19), Jeltje Woud (MC: f, 26)
Tiugz's greatest strength is their formidable defence. Traditionally, this has been balanced out by an embarrassing lack of quality in the rest of the field - the signing of Lieo Rygbi looks to try and change that. Whether it will be successful without wholesale changes to formation and the midfield is a fair question, but the intent has excited pundits who usually dread covering a 0-0 draw in the dreary Bondstad suburb of Tiugz.

Wilaamstad Wrijgers - The Warriors
Last Season: 7th
Team Colours: Navy with coral trimming
Stadium: De Wrijgers Stadion (8,500)
Manager: Verna Hasel (female, 42)
First XI (4-3-3): Csaen Ziumun (GK: m, 31) -- Bonita Braziggtuon (DL: m, 35), Secwia Hout (DC: gender-fluid, 28), Aatsi Tzop (DC: m, 28), Pajtuun Hejtaueu (DR: m, 25) -- Robyn Amsigg (MC: f, 19), Luc Bisop (MC: m, 28, CAPT), Adell Alba (MC: f, 30) -- Hylda Dafyd (AL: f, 24), Dani Vultuon (ST: f, 35), Cnut Zumer (AR: m, 20)
Noteable Reserves: Cwinn Majsi (GK: m, 18), Islaa Moeris (DL: f, 21), Lili Taazceur (MC: f, 31), Jeni Recht (ST: f, 25), Juan Ghodan (ST: m, 37)
The winners of the inaugural LegaSaari have been in steady decline in the decade since and there is little to suggest that this season will provide the turn-around the side needs to reverse their poor fortunes. That being said, Cnut Zumer looks good to make the step-up to the first team and few can doubt the quality of Luc Bisop - though they provide the rare rey of hope in an otherwise uninspiring offering.

Pingstrand Fuutbol Cluub
Last Season: 8th
Team Colours: Sail blue with white shorts and socks
Stadium: Aanhetstrand Arineu (7,111)
Manager: Luc Humel (male, 57)
First XI (3-2-3-2): Darijun Fervers (GK: m, 33) -- Rita Daele (DC: f, 30), Anghi Matheus (DC: f, 31), Kajli Heuvel (DC: f, 30) -- Cinda Grooffz (WBL: f, 29), Dolv Bun (WBR: m, 32) -- Elma Kindvanantz (MC: m, 18), Nicau Noriuz (MC: m, 34, CAPT), Ceut Dyzni (MC: m, 24) -- Vemi Vergusen (ST: f, 23), Daryn Asselman (ST: m, 22)
Noteable Reserves:Krysten Roeburts (DC: f, 20)
Pingstrand have been the running joke of the LegaSaari, and last season's fifth consecutive eighth place finish has exacerbated this. Unfortunately, there is little to suggest any change in fortune - though neutrals will thank the sides indication that they will at least attempt to play exciting football. To that end, the pair of Vemi Vergusen and Daryn Asselman will be interesting to watch - the later a new signing from the Development Leagues. Although hoping to finish above last isn't the most prestigious goal, there is something very admirable about how the side continue to waddle on with their heads held high.

Made the executive decision to use season 2 qualifiers ... and I'll just have to do some jiggery-pokery ahead of the next cycle cutoff.
ICly, season 3 was still underway due to residual temporal warping from the war.

Taeshan vs Banija 2nd Annual League All-Star Game
Taeshan (TAE) 1–0 Banija (BNJ)*
Bailisk 33'

To say the second annual All-Star game between Taeshan and Banija was a big event would be an understatement. The first chance for Taeshan to host the even, and continue to blast Fadron Pizza all over the TSPN airwaves, would be played where else but the Atlantea Coliseum. No hint about where future events would be held, but the one time host of the UICA Champions' Cup, and potential future host of an IFCL, seemed a natural home for the Taeshan All-Stars.

The game turned out to be not as exciting a prospect as the buzz before it. The mostly domestic Taeshan side, welcomed a slightly more diverse side from the now rival league Atlantian Oceania crew, not only league rivals but region supremacy rivals. It was a rather defensive affair, which while normal for Taeshani viewers, surely bored most of the international fans, as a Pasargan diplomat noted the flashbacks the game gave him to the Purple Knights scorching defense at the most recent Cup of Harmony.

It would be a Nepharan that scored the goal. As anyone who has watched the Premier League could have figured the hot new prospect, was the Laketown Rangers loanee, Latona Basilisk. Replacing Miles Snavely was a tall order, but Laketown Rangers football directors got it spot on with the Coret Hawks starlet. Surely the Rangers will be batting down the doors of the Hawks to secure the player that has replaced the current national team manager, and given them back to back titles.

Reçueçn (RCN) Final Site Bids
FFI Liga dos Vencedores: National Stadium, Reçueçn City (capacity 30,000)
The home stadium for the Reçuecian National Football Team, National Stadium has hosted every one of Reçueçn's home World Cup qualifying matches, as well as the IAC 8 final. Organizers are hoping it can now for the first time host part of an international club tournament. Located in the inner suburbs of Reçueçn, it's a small but beautiful stadium that's easy to get to.

Sorry for all the edits, first forgot about, then messed up the final site bid.
