Procedural Notes:
  • The oversight committee in Damukuni lost a bet with an executive at CoCoCo while visiting the newly reformed state of South Covello. As a result, the CoCoCo earned the right to organize the 27th CedC. They didn't know how to do that and so called a friend in the Football Association of Turori who was gracious enough to help.
  • The late entries of Gergary (FRG) and Cyborg Cocoabo Islands (CYC) were accepted. Since both have only elected to participate in the Campionato Esportivano di Campeones, and not another competition, their entries are included in this cycle on the condition that their association submit a list of entries before the next UICA Super Cup to qualify for the 28th edition.
  • One final site bid was listed amongst the CEdC applicants. By rule of default, this site, Princess Hawana Stadium, Bed Gon, Copper Cuprum, was selected for the CEdC final for this edition.

The 27th Campionato Esportivano di Campeones Champions
Kingsgrove
Brenecia

Kingsgrove take the CEdC trophy back from North Hall in an all Brenecian final. Teams from Filindostan & Natanians and Nosts each advanced to the Semi-Final round for the first time in their associations history.

Entries will now be accepted for the twenty-eighth edition of the Campionato Esportivano di Campeones.
  • Each association residing in the region of Esportiva is allowed to submit two (2) teams for entry into the CEdC.
    Soltsteed wrote:
    • Traditional European-style leagues might submit their [regular-season champion and either] runners-up, a cup winner or the winners of a qualifying play-off (iirc, SJG used to use this last format).
    • Leagues that decide the championship by play-off might submit the [playoff winner and either their] losing finalists or regular season winner.
    • Apertura-Clausura leagues would naturally submit the winners of each section[, unless the same team won both sections, in which the football association reserves the right to send a second team on sporting merit using the criteria above]
    • (NOTE: The Damukuni Football League uses a special system for determining CEdC participants, but it is still considered qualification by sporting merit.).
As far as I am concerned, how each association decides qualification is their prerogative outside the obvious sporting merit clause.
  • All entries must be prefaced specifically with the abbreviation "CEdC".
  • The cutoff for submissions coincides with the posting of the UICA Champions' Cup finals and Super Cup.
  • Final site bids will be considered for this edition.
    • Final site bids must contain a stadium of at least 55,000 seats, a stadium name, and its location.
    • Optionally, you may add a short description of the stadium and any famous football-related happenings there.
    • The default site, if no bids are submitted, is Naruto Shinagawa Field, Atarashii-Damushuto International Stadium, Atarashii-Damushuto, United States of Damukuni.

Whirl Islands (WRL) final site bids

Series B Champions’ Cup/Youth Cup: Portomar Field, Navel Island (capacity: 30,991)

The Whirl Islands Football Association along with the Board of Navel Fútbol Club (better known as Navel FC) are hereby presenting Portomar Field to the consideration of the UICA Selection Committee as a potential venue for the final matches of the 68th Series B Champions' Cup and the 23rd Youth Cup.

Portomar Field is located in the heart of the well-to-do neighborhood of Portomar in Navel Island, the capital of the Whirl Islands, close to the city's CBD as well as the main international airport and gateway to the islands (Navel Island International Airport), and serves as home stadium for Navel FC, one of the most winning and popular clubs in the nation. The stadium was originally built with a capacity of 20,110 people and a synthetic turf surface given the difficulty to grow natural grass in the soils of the Portomar zone. Recently, the stadium underwent a series of major renovations, which included the expansion of the East Stand by adding an upper deck to it, which raised capacity to 30,991 people, the construction of a roof over the seating areas in the East and South stands to complement the existing roof in the Main Stand, and improvements to the stadium's TV and radio booths as well as to the VIP boxes located in the Main and East stands. The North Stand, which is the sector for visiting fans, was not expanded given the presence of a hypermarket next to it. In the event that this bid is successful, and should UICA's Selection Committee be uncomfortable with the current playing surface, both WIFA as well as Navel FC will be willing to lay a temporary grass surface for specific use during the event.

To whom it may concern,

My name is Xina Iesan, and I am proud to serve as the Chief Executive Officer of Air Terranea, one of the world's largest airlines. We serve more than 450 destinations across the globe, including 165 throughout the main sporting regions including destinations in Audioslavia, Cosumar, Krytenia, Eura, Nephara, Ethane, Electrum, Valladares, and the Royal Kingdom of Quebec, to name a few. I am writing this letter to approach the Union of International Club Associations about the possibility of our company becoming the UICA Partner for the Series B Champions' Cup for seasons 72-79.

As a brief history of our company, Air Terranea was founded in 2015 as the result of a merger between Ceniana and Air Electrum, the flag carriers of Ceni and Electrum respectively. With a base of operations in the Terranean region of Rushmore, Air Terranea has expanded its markets outward to focus on the business of the three major sporting regions, as well as the region of Astyria with our subsidiary airline Global Wings. If you would like to peruse more about our company's history, services, destination network, and mission statement, those items are all located on our company website (OOC: storefront link), www.airterranea.com.cen. Our company has reaches throughout both the sporting world and the world of Global Economics and Trade, winning numerous accolades in both venues.

We believe that our sponsorship will present numerous benefits to both of our organizations. For UICA, our wide destination network allows for fans from a wide variety of nations to quickly and easily travel to your event with a minimum of transfers or layovers, meaning that your event will be able to sell more tickets and reap more tourism revenue from overseas tourists. Our network within the sporting regions of course means that these fans will be able to capitalize on this important sporting event, and our network in other regions means that the game can reach more people beyond the usual suspects. No other airline, either within the sporting world or outside it, boasts both the breadth of destinations outside of Rushmore, Atlantian Oceania, and Esportiva and the depth of destinations within those regions, combined. For us, this sponsorship would provide us with advertising across the sporting world, revenue for ticket sales to various destinations with teams still involved in the various cups. We are also able to provide logistics for club teams travelling between home and away ties.

In short, I believe that our company is the best candidate to become the UICA Partner for seasons 72-79. We thank you for considering our proposal and for extending this wonderful opportunity to companies across the globe, as we believe interaction with sport can increase the welfare of citizens of all countries.

Sincerely,
Xina Iesan
Chief Executive Officer, Air Terranea
