The 682 Season

Between 681 and 682 McKleighvian finally got involved with the international soccer scene. Players from abroad can now be seen on WASP fields and many of our stars from the past few years are now playing in tougher leagues elsewhere. All tranfers to and from can be found here viewtopic.php?p=20568563#p20568563 .

With the addition of Brilliant Blaze to Ashtree the squad dominated the league once again. Everything looked to be in line for a third crown in only the fourth WASP season. However, new addition Klement Dragovic of Novach exploded in the playoff game against Ashtree scoring all of Deltas goals with a hat trick to tie the game and send it to penalty shots where Delta became victorious. Delta then held off any attacks from the very defensive Armada squad and Robert Donahugh headed in a corner in extra time to Win Delta the crown 1-0. Ashtree got back to their usual game and were able to secure a 3rd place win over Founders FC.

Ltianhama sign foreign talent

The Ltianhama Kimi were the first club in the tani after current ASR crisis to sign a foreign national. The Ltianhamese president Sanhatsix Ke-Tvi said that getting the Inevitable Syndicate player Garrett Hampson on board for the next season was a "step towards a better, more competitive Ltianhama, a chance for the team to reach standings on the top of the league instead of its center". The player has no competitive experience and was previously playing with the AREX side "Milhan ji jisu ji jeduni" (game and victory and alcohol) next to studying in the Juniversiti Xentira in the nearby Hsian kali. Some of the stranger questions in the initial press conference were about which ethnicity Garrett planned to insult by his pronunciation of Ltianhama (as the pronunciation which the Lajik prefer is strongly disliked by the Seleken and the pronunciation which the Seleken prefer is strongly disliked by the Lajik, and the "correct" Ltikva pronunciation is seen really pretentious by just about everyone else). His answer was: "I prefer to let my soccer skills speak of my honour, not my linguistic skills" He was also asked whether he would get used to being called "Keritu", to which he replied that he had gotten used to what various rejistanis think his name was as long as they would not say Xanitali (which is a very disrespectful name the FUTSAL coach Siki Rej has become associated with).
Rejis sjiki, linux sjiki, alari sjiki, korona sjiki!
Forever united, forever free, forever in justice, forever prospering!

"Tekneluru mi'aru mi aji, il'sidekhir'ra mi, lajistas. Mi'ki'vasu kynha'het kijitax." Hank͜hila Sede, first lentine (translation: A dream is only a dream until it is reached. After that, it becomes something trivial)

Headlines from the Na~ovi Nanti: Hetkali election ended in no candidate over 2% hurdle - Syku I Jai fired as coach of Aetaila Seli, youth coach Hea I Juien takes over reins of club - Rising number of fairy penguins in Sumumusumu and neighboring islands

This person is pro-EU and proud of it! They are also a Eurofederalist and want the Federated States of Europe!

It’s the inaugural year of the re-established Icemark League. After the financial collapse of the previous league it looked as if it would never be brought back. But the Darius Corporation saw the national and global appeal of the game after the Icemark's performance in the World Cup Qualifiers. Seeing an opportunity to make a fortune from merchandise and sponsorship the Darius Corporation set about bringing back domestic football to our cold, northern shores. There is also hope that the re-established league will help The Icemark discover a new crop of home grown players to compete in the upcoming World Cup
Fifteen teams from all six provinces of the land will compete in a double round robin before the top eight teams placed in the standings face off in a play-off series to determine the national champions. The champions will gain a place in the prestigious Champion’s Cup, while the three other semi-finalists will earn a place in the Globe Cup.

Let's have a go at this. :p

Image
The Format
10 clubs compete in the annual competition known as Lega Premiere ("Premier League") to determine the very best of Saint Jamesian football. Each team plays each other team twice, once at home and once away, for a total of 18 games per team over the course of the season. With the standard three points for a win, one for a draw rules in place, the winner is ultimately decided by the total number of points accrued over the course of the season, while the bottom club suffers the infamy of relegation to Lega Primera ("First League"), possibly to be followed by the team just ahead of them. Several tiebreaker criteria are used to separate teams equal on points at the end of the season.
  1. Total goal difference in all matches
  2. Total goals scored in all matches
  3. Points scored in matches between the teams in question
  4. Goal difference in matches between the teams in question
  5. Goals scored in matches between the teams in question
  6. If none of the above criteria are sufficient to break the tie, then the following shall be employed:
    1. For determining qualification to UICA competitions, promotion to higher leagues or relegation to lower leagues: kicks from the penalty mark to be taken at a neutral venue
    2. For determining all other positions: drawing of lots by the Fèdèracion Futballista das Insolas Santo-Jacovo ("Football Federation of the Saint James Islands") Executive Board

The Format
12 clubs who couldn't quite handle the heat of the Premiere fight it out for a spot in the treasure of Saint Jamesian football and the right to brag about a piece of silverware. However, there is a danger to competing at this level. Just as the top two teams earn a ticket to the next Premiere, the bottom team plunges to the obscure depths of Lega Nacional ("National League"), with the second to last team at risk of joining them. With much pride and four tickets to potential UICA glory on the line, these teams prepare for their 22 game slugfest of the Primera.

Promotion-Relegation Play-offs
The play-offs are played as two-legged draws, with the team in the higher league playing at home first. The aggregate score determines the winner of the tie, with the away goals rule used to decide draws. If the draw is not decided by away goals, thirty minutes of extra time is played and the away goals rule is applied again if needed. If this is not enough to resolve the tie, kicks from the penalty mark are taken to decide the winner.

THROUGH MATCHDAY 16:

Turoki United v. Mliona-Lpaka :: As the second half of the season kicked off a key matchup was on the cards as the two-time defending league champions Turoki United hosted table-topping Mliona-Lpaka in what was being billed as a must-win for Turoki United to maintain their title chances in a true 6 pointer with the 'Silvers' as they had been dubbed entering the match 6 points behind the leaders.

It was a tense match all around and it was the inevitable mistake in the 33rd minute that made the difference as Lobaisa Akarelm intercepted a weak clearance and fired a quick shot low to the keepers left breaking the deadlock. It would be the only goal of the match that saw Mliona-Lpaka claim 1-0 to move 9 points clear of Turoki United in third place, with Strike FC between the two chasing down the leaders.

Things would get worse for the Silvers on Matchday 15 as they looked to rebound at the Lonngeylin Coliseum, but were undone by some late dramatics from the Venom. Turoki United had the lead at the half but Apple Cobbler started the comeback in the second half by levelling the scores. The match appeared headed for a draw until a bit of individual brilliance from Karisto Monafog in stoppage time decided the match in favor of Strike FC.

Jungle Strike FC v. Mliona-Lpaka AFC :: After late heroics against Turoki United kept them within 3 points of the leaders, the leaders came to them on Matchday 16 as Strike FC looked to pull themselves back into the title race. Audioslavian goalkeeper Kajaxo Imaslavii, potentially in his last season as the starter for Strike FC with young Schiavonia goalkeeper Viliaka O'Connor on the books, looked every bit as capable as he did when winning back-to-back World Cup Titles as he denied every chance the Turorian side through at him. Friekder Dandalleion provided the goal for the home side who, with the victory, slid into the top spot in the table due to their superior goal differential.

THROUGH MATCHDAY 20:

A pair of goals from experienced Turorian Liinai Zakazaka gave Jlinal Cove a 2-0 victory against Lonngeylin Coast allowing them to leapfrog Turoki United into 3rd place in the table. Lonngeylin Coast, on the other hand, dropped into the relegation zone with the defeat.

However, Chaos would reign at the top of the table on Matchday 18 as Turoki United was the only side in the top 8 to record a victory with leaders Strike FC held 1-1 by relegation threatened Rammsissil and Mliona-Lpaka suffering a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Colonial Sile, Erfaon Lisdiren stopping all 6 Turorian shots he faced.

Strike FC would open up a 6 point lead atop the table as the almost-predictable Mliona-Lpaka implosion continued with a defeat against relegation threatened Rammsissil deeply threatening the Turorian sides title credentials. Both teams were still in their own zip code, however, with the gap a further 7 points back to the three-way battle for third between Turoki United, Jlinal Cove and the Turoki Tide.

It was another game, another defeat for Mliona-Lpaka who dropped a 1-0 result to the Yeaddin Owls and once again cemented their reputation as a team that could not close the deal down the stretch run. Luckily for the field, the Turoki Tide held Strike's charge with a 2-2 result at the Turoki Community Complex.

Strike's victory in the Lonngeylin derby against a surprisingly impotent Lonngeylin Coast side set the Venom 10 points clear of a Mliona-Lpaka side in dismal form after defeat at the hands of Arcticala Inlet. The rest of the field wasn't making up much ground, however, as the outsiders sensed blood and set their sights on the UICA Champions Cup positions that were hanging in the balance.

8 :: [28] - Makosile

Although they could only secure a draw at the Track Venture field on Matchday 23, Jungle Strike FC secured their record 17th Stellar Division title and first since season 41 after Mliona-Lpaka AFC were held 1-1 by Eastal Lunar at the Iobabo Legendary Park, re-directing all the focus away from the title race and strictly back on the qualification race for the UICA Champions Cup places, to which 5 were allocated to the Vilitan League.

Mliona-Lpaka finally gave up the second spot when the fell 1-0 in the Turorian derby with Cednia Beach who were fighting to climb into the UICA Champions Cup. Turoki United, meanwhile, were finding some late season form and sent the Yeaddin Owls into the relegation zone with a 3-0 victory at the Turoki Community Complex

THE DECISIVE FINISH:
Turoki United recorded a 2-0 victory at Lunar Park to seal the second position while sending the Astronauts toppling out of the UICA Champions Cup places, allowing Makosile United to leapfrog into the top 5 after their 1-0 victory over Rammsissil.

At the other end of the table, Lonngeylin Coast looked to salvage their season with a 1-0 victory over Arcticala Inlet to pull level with the Electricians in the battle for safety with the Yeaddin Owls one point back at the foot of the table.

14 :: [23] - Yeaddin Owls

Mliona-Lpaka v Turoki Tide :: After topping the table at the mid-way point, Mliona-Lpaka Turori had performed abysmally through the second half and hosted the Turoki Tide on the final matchday just trying to hold on to their podium placement. It was not to be however, as the Tide came out winners to sneak by Mliona-Lpaka who backed into a certainly disappointing 4th place finish on the season.

At the bottom of the table, Arcticala Inlet got the shock 2-0 result they needed over Makosile to survive the drop while Lonngeylin Coast got the win that Makosile United needed them to, keeping Cednia Beach AFC out of the top 5. The phones at Lonngeylin Coast certainly started ringing, however, as the shock relegation side would certainly be the target of transfer inquiries on star players such as Vilita's Zelkki Milake and Valanora's Hera Teltholsyr before the start of UICA competitions.

Lonngeylin Coast also set the dubious distinction of the most points accrued by a relegated side in the modern era of the stellar division.

Defending Declasse Division runners up Rammsissil recorded the best finish in club history, their 1-0 win over Jlinal Cove allowed them to leapfrog their opponents into the 8th position. It would prove to be a crucial result as well, as it allowed Rammsissil to claim a spot in the UICA Globe Cup at the expense of Jlinal Cove.

THROUGH MATCHDAY 18:

Marine Coast United and Alikki-Corra put some distance between themselves and the rest of the pack putting together a 4-point advantage over the third place battle between Tivali City and Morata Valley. Things were looking bleak for winless Crosaibi Locals who found themselves 9 points from safety with 8 games to play.

THROUGH MATCHDAY 21:

Marine Coast United were upset by Lonngeylin City 2-1 on Matchday 19 but Tivali City's 1-1 draw with Inland Peaks ensured the Crosaibi side did not lose much of the pad in the promotion battle. At the other end of the table, defending Tropicorp Cup champions Jaguar Moreda recorded a crucial 1-0 victory over the Crosaibi Locals to pull level on points with the Kionao Locals in the race for safety, while all-but condeming the Locals to relegation.

Marine Coast United easily won the battle of Crosaibi against the struggling Locals on Matchday 20 to re-extend their pad over third place to 5 points after Tivali City were held to a draw by Kiiarana City.

However, the top two lost some ground on Matchday 21 as Marine Coast United were dropped by a resurgent Kiiarana City while Alikki-Corra were held by FC Almintora. Tivali City's 2-0 win over the Corra Rovers pulled them to within 2 points in what was evidently becoming a three-team battle for the 2 promotion places.

THE PROMOTION BATTLE:
Threatened with the possibility of relegation, the Kionao Locals pulled out all the stops to slow the title train in Alikki-Corra with a 2-1 victory at the Kionao Minor Field. The result allowed the other challengers to close the gap on the leaders as Marine Coast United and Tivali City both recorded victories on the day.

Jaguar Moreda missed a big opportunity to climb to safety as they were held to a goalless draw at home by fellow strugglers Corra Rovers.

It may have been a case of too-little too late for Inland Peaks who turned up the heat, at the very least with an eye on the UICA places as they smashed 5 goals past Morata Valley all but ending the recently-promoted sides hopes of a second-consecutive rise in the ranks.

::STANDINGS WITH 4 GAMES TO PLAY::
1 :: [41] - Alikki-Corra
2 :: [39] - Marine Coast
3 :: [37] - Tivali City
4 :: [33] - Lonngeylin City
5 :: [33] - Kiiara-Torra

It all came down to Matchday 23 as Alikki-Corra hosted Tivali City in a match that would either settle the promotion battle or blow it wide open. Not looking to give up the chance for a Stellar Division return at the hands of their biggest rivals, however, Alikki-Corra took control of the situation and squeaked out a 1-0 victory to take control of their fate and open up a 7 point advantage over their rivals, the only team that could deny them promotion at this point.

Despite finally recording their first victory, a 1-0 result over Akisa Surta, Crosaibi Locals were officially relegated.

Just as it appeared things were settled, however, Tivali City pulled themselves right back into the battle with a victory over Jaguar Moreda while Alikki-Corra and Marine Coast United both dropped points against Lonngeylin City and FC Almintora respectively, setting up a grand-stand finish over the final two matchdays.

::STANDINGS WITH 2 GAMES TO PLAY::
1 :: [44] Alikki-Corra
2 :: [41] - Marine Coast
3 :: [40] - Tivali City
4 :: [37] - Kiiara-Torra
5 :: [37] - Lonngeylin City

Tivali City v. Marine Coast United :: A victory for Marine Coast United at the Council Stadium would clinch promotion for the Crosaibi side while Tivali City needed a result to push the promotion battle to the final matchday. Having already fallen short against Alikki-Corra, it was the last chance for Tivali City to get back into the promotion battle and this time they made no mistake edging out their opponents to slide into the second position with just one game to play. The win also clinched the title for Alikki-Corra, leaving a two-team battle for the final spot on the final matchday.

Both sides would end up squaring off against Tropicorp Cup finalists from the season before with Marine Coast United up against the all-but-relegated Jaguar Moreda while Tivali City would have to travel to Morata Valley to face a side still fighting for a UICA placement.

In the end, Marine Coast United's 2-2 draw with Jaguar Moreda was irrelevant as Tivali City got the job done against Morata Valley, stealing promotion from the grasps of Marine Coast United who had spent the majority of the season in the top 2. For Tivali City, it would mean a return to the top flight for the first time since being relegated from the Stellar Division for the only time in the history after season 14.

Vilitan Cup Round of 16:
Three Tropicorp Lower League sides made it to the Quarter Final stage of the Vilitan Cup but none of them managed to etch their names into the history books, or even onto the scoresheet as Kimoara Lika, Terarokka Spirit and the flagship side Tropicorp FC were all shutout by Stellar Division opposition.

The biggest shock came at the Iobabao Legendary Park where the Turorian derby between Declasse side Kionao Locals and Turorian giants Mliona-Lpaka came down to penalty kicks after a late equalizer for the Locals. Mliona-Lpaka started the shootout strongly with goals from Viela Lianksa and Inamari Altariiz but thats all they would get as the Declasse side advanced with the 3-2 shootout victory.

Vilitan Cup Quarter-Finals: (Two Legs)

Kionao Locals v. Cednia Beach AFC ::
Goals from Eikr Lillehammer and Matlya Eelador gave Cednia Beach AFC the early advantage after the home leg in their two-legged Turorian-Derby style Vilitan Cup Quarter Final matchup against the Kionao Locals.

The locals would put up a valiant fight in the second leg including a goal from Vilitan National Team hero Purapal Eskiiy, but in the end it was too much to overcome as Cednia Beach claimed the 3-1 aggregate victory.

Makosile v. Arcticala Inlet ::
Everything would be decided at the Track Venture Field after Arcticala Inlet and Makosile United played out a goalless draw at the Arcticala Electrical Stadium in the first leg.

The second leg would be just as tense and 120 minutes later nothing had yet been settled in Sile. Vucidini Zekani, Thunderlane, Vauxhall Jansen, Rainbow Blitz and Kadi Molali all netted for the Makos in the shootout while Atacir Tivalan stopped Eda Shindhi's penalty to send the Makos through to the Semi's.

Jungle Strike FC v. Tivali City ::
Declasse side Tivali City played its heart out in front of the home fans at the Council Stadium holding the Vilitan Giants to a 1-1 draw and giving them the opportunity to steal something at the Lonngeylin Coliseum in the second leg.

The dream would finally come to an end, however, as Ichi Tuzzio netted just 18 minutes in to the second leg and Strike pulled away to claim a 3-1 aggregate victory to advance to the semi-finals.

Turoki Isle v. Turoki United ::
The Turoki derby started with much fan fare at the Turoki Community Complex - dubbed the home of Champions due to the shared success of tenants Turoki United and the Turoki Tide. It didn't take long, however, for it to become something of a rout as the Silvers opened up to a 2-0 lead at the half and won the opening leg 3-0 leaving little hope of a comeback for the Islanders.

The second leg at the Turoki National Stadium was something of a formality with the two sides playing out a goalless draw ending the Islanders campaign and seeing the Silvers through to the Semi-Finals.

Vilitan Cup Semi-Finals: (Two Legs)

Cednia Beach AFC (TUR) v. Makosile United (VIL) ::

The semi-final between Cednia Beach and Makosile United would come down to penalty kicks at the Track Venture Field. Cednia Beach had taken a 1-0 lead in the first leg as they looked to defend their Vilitan Cup title but a penalty kick in first half stoppage time that was converted by Eroka Lorei levelled the scores.

The match would go the distance from there and it was poor shooting by the defending champions that would eventually end their reign as Makosile were perfect from the spot to advance to the final 4-2 on penalty kicks.

Turoki United (VIL) v. Jungle Strike FC (VIL) ::

After a goalless draw at the Lonngeylin Coliseum, Strike FC started strong at the Turoki Community Complex with Ichi Tuzzio opening the scoring inside 5 minutes of play. The Silvers responded to level the scores at the half but Star-of-the-Season Karisto Monafog put in the winner for the Venom in the second half to set up a star-studded Cup Final.

Vilitan Cup Final:
Makosile United (VIL) v. Jungle Strike FC (VIL) ::

It would be the end of an era in many ways at the Tivali-Ring Stadium as Strike FC fans were potentially seeing two of their star players appear for the final time in their illustrious careers. Having already clinched the Stellar Division title, goalkeeper Kajaxo Imaslavii and forward Yves Gadois had already secured their place in history by 'going out on top' but with one more match to play, and one more trophy on the line, there was still work to be done.

On the other hand, Audioslavia's Vucidini Zekani, left out of his nations World Cup 69 roster, wanted to prove that he still had what it takes to compete at the top level despite being in his mid 30's.

It was a bit harsh in the 15th minute after the referee adjudged that Ichi Tuzzio had been tugged down in the box and awarded a penalty kick against the Farfazillition player's former side. In what could prove to be his final match for the club, it was no surprise to see Yves Gadois step forward to take the penalty kick and the experienced striker made no mistake giving the Stellar Division champions the early lead.

Needing to recover after going a goal down, Makosile attempted to put more pressure on the Vilitan back line and targeting their attacks in the direction of Vucidini Zekani.

In the midfield, there was definately an interesting battle shaping up between Thunderlane and Apple Cobbler, who hit the post with an ambitious effort just before the hour mark.

As the final 10 minutes approached, the Makos threw everything forward, needing to get back into the match. However, the decision left them exposed at the back and it was Riksa Valjariia who exploited the opening 5 minutes from time to double the advantage for Strike.

As the final whistle blew, the Strike Fans rose in applause and celebration in recognition of the culmination of not only a great season where their side re-took the reigns of the Vilitan league from Turoki United, but the culmination of a great career of two of the clubs greatest career-long servants, Kajaxo Imaslavii and Yves Gadois who ensured through a shutout and a goal that they would indeed be going out on top.

Jungle Strike FC 2-0 Makosile United

Falconwhereveryouare Primary Division -- Season 37
Review

In a non-twist of events that surprised nobody, the FFA has failed to do anything to improve the state of Falconian domestic soccer since last season. As such, the Secondary division is still not being run.

. Primary Division Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 Nestingham FC 22 16 3 3 25 9 +16 51 CC Champion
2 Falcus FC 22 12 5 5 36 24 +12 41 CC
3 Lywik FC 22 10 8 4 31 25 +6 38 GC
4 Marriet 22 10 6 6 18 12 +6 36 GC
5 Longbarrow 22 8 7 7 20 18 +2 31 GC

6 Umber FC 22 7 6 9 16 22 −6 27
7 Umber Lumber 22 8 2 12 10 20 −10 26
8 Wingipeg Wingers 22 6 6 10 40 35 +5 24
9 Sheaver Fishwives 22 6 6 10 10 14 −4 24
10 Reedring FC 22 5 8 9 14 20 −6 23
11 Wingipeg FC 22 7 2 13 26 35 −9 23
12 Northern Log 22 4 7 11 15 27 −12 19

And Nestingham has run away with the top spot in one of the most dominant performances the Primary League has ever seen! They didn't want to give Falcus a glimmer of a chance for a crazy last-match comeback like the boys from the Capitol pulled last season. And it seems this season reinforces the defensive ideal, with the leading team in goals allowed winning the league at just 9 allowed in 22 games, while the highest-octane offense in the Wingers nearly average 2 goals a game with a positive goal differential and still managed to find themselves in the bottom half of the standings.

There's also a big surprise in Longbarrow and Reedring FC swapping places in the standings, as well as Lywik FC making their first run to the Globe Cup in quite a while. None of their rosters have been very solid the past few years, so it'd be difficult to tell if this is going to turn into any long-term trends for these clubs.

Falcus (FAC) qualifiers
Champions’ Cup: Nestingham FC, Falcus FC
Globe Cup: Lywik FC, Marriet, Longbarrow

CdC: Nestingham FC
<Karditan> also how do I roleplay several losing teams in a combined league
<+Jeck> The same way England RPs its teams in the Champions League :p

Vera Mortensen (21, GK, VAN) loaned from University of Vanersholm (YTT) to Fontvieille FC (YTT) for one year

With the fourth season of Yttribian football behind us, it is time to look forward to the brand new, and Wood Season of Yttribian football. For the first time in a bit, Yttribians decided to buy players from foreign leagues, such as the nineteen year old Aitor Zavala from Audioslavia, and Alexandre from the Sunrise Islands. Heron, of Daineri descent joined low-table club CdF Dowtel for what seemed to be an eternal contract, while rising Brenician star Ash Kilcane signed to the powerhouse that is Fontvieille FC. Tsunami Storm and rising footballer Bruno Arce have signed on to FC Delare Minon, making the club one of the favorites for the title.

Team Previews (in order of last season's finish)
The defending champions Fontvieille FC, despite their additions to what already is a powerhouse squad, are predicted by some bookies to not finish in the top three in the Yttribian Premiership, despite being led by Quebecois striker Xavier Hertel, who has been given the "all clear" by his agents to play for the next eighteen seasons in Fontvieille. With Vera Mortensen sent over by the University to gain some experience abroad, she'll be playing keeper for this season while Llamalean goalkeeper Jared Finch assigned to play Cup matches. Korbin Rowntree of The Sarian is ready to play one more season in Fontvieille before going onto the transfer market once more, and he's hoping that with a stellar season, a stellar amount of dollars are paid out. Gabriel Jenaro, Felixian forward is expected to help out with the Hertel Attack, under Val Kylx's 3-5-2 formation.

With the harsh and critical words spoken by Drakonian forward Kevin Arland, Harmon Younge, head coach of AC Zevella, has benched the footballer, and kept him out of the starting XI. Younge has instead given the nod for 22 year old hometown player Jerry Ambrogi a chance to lead his favorite team to that coveted title they've been searching for. Meanwhile, with the defection of traitor and Mastii Gaspard Irvin, the position has opened to allow eighteen year old goalkeeper from the world-renowned Project +90 Alexandre to AC Zevella to play with the elite club. However, it is Crofton Abbatantuono, Aquan immigrant to Yttribia, who will be leading the team as their captain, and probably their main goalscorer for the season. Despite the high hopes for the squad, will Kevin Arland's benching lead to a tumultuous downfall, or will they be able to finally achieve greatness?

All eyes are set on transfer happy FC Delare Minon, who tied with the Meteorologists of Fontvieille FC for transfers this season. One of two teams who haven't missed out on multiversal football, they are one of the better sides in Yttribian football. Led by defensive midfielder Mattias Passarelli, who was one of the key players in bringing Esportivan commies contenders San José Guayabal to their first ever World Cup, beating The Archregimancy along the way to qualify. Esther Sapp's squad, which utilizes the Yttribian Wall that was made popular by Simon Jewel, led by Darren Quinones, back up for the Yttribian National Team, and Valladar center back José Muñoz. Meanwhile, Licentian midfielder Niek Krooijmans is back to win some silverware along the way for the team. Not to mention, the fact that they've signed on several players, including Aitor Zavala of Audioslavia, Di Bradini Cup starter, so this really is a loaded squad which can win the title.

The rise of famed and somewhat legendary footballer Xavi Vilhjamsson has seemed to totally overshadow his brother, nineteen year-old forward Henry Vilhjalmsson as he forms a part of the duo with Polarian forward Fabian Tolstov for Gremalsco FC. Jóhannes Vilhjalmsson, or Papa Johan as he is affectionately called by his fans, leads the Gremalscan attack, which also is assisted by Apoxian winger, Lee Miller. However, with the pyramid formation the fans have come to know and love, the base of the pyramid is what keeps a pyramid stable. Guifré Andreu, centre back, is what helps keep this pyramid stable, as Gremalsco FC were second in the entire Premiership for goals scored. Ambitions are set high for this squad, hoping to rise higher than fourth after two seasons of relegation scares.

Fifth place is somewhat disappointing for this somewhat stacked Stemanisis SSC squad, with the likes of Marcus Horn, Sarian midfielder and somewhat disappointing brother of one of the great Sarian footballers, Ross Horn; the young 18 year old Sunrisian Slein Dragyyn; and veteran of Felixian football, legend Mikel Araboa. Manager Krista van Ostermann's job is at stake, with the chairman of the club stating that if the club did not finish in the top four, she would be looking for a brand new place to coach, meaning that failure is not an option.

Cecil Herberts bases his club on the following principles. Urellians only. And somehow, the policy of Urellian players has surprisingly worked for Serraville CC. However, what led to a shocking fourth place just two seasons ago, is now with a more regular sixth place in the Premiership, something most football fans (other than Serraville supporters) expect out of this club. So for those who really do enjoy the thought of a purely Yttribian team winning the league, hold your horses, because your dream ends here tonight. Another mid-table finish for a mid-table caliber team.

The team with bragging rights in the city of DuPont this year, AC DuPont are going to be taking a bit hit, thanks to the departure of teenage wonder, and now Yttribian NTer, Bruno Arce. Even though the squad itself is good on paper, you just can't get these blokes to work together. It's going to be extremely difficult for this DuPont squad to stay afloat in the Premiership, so we ask their fans to prepare to board the elevator going downstairs to Serie B. Granted, anything and everything is plausible in Yttribian football, take a look at AC Gaillard.

The other DuPont team, the one who cry as they watch their bitter rivals brag in front of them, the fans behind SC DuPont really do love their squad. They really do! A mostly hometown squad, give or take one or two Mastii players on loan, their goal this year is to do better than AC DuPont. They just want to be able to brag in front of their faces, and enjoy a higher position in the table than those "pesky, rich, snobby fans" whom they seem to loathe with a passion. And we here do believe that there is an excellent chance that SC DuPont will have bragging rights this year, mainly because of Arce's departure.

Now, here's a club that had all of the talent in the world, an excellent manager to back it up, and one of the largest payrolls in all of Yttribian football. However, if fifteen more goals were scored on them, there would have been a good chance that Telino could be in Serie B. However, with some sense snapped into Zivota Karapandza, Farf manager, Zenic forward and national team starter Alexander Ayaode, Barangayan midfielder Niño Leron, and the young goalkeeper Emmerson Bengochea, it appears that the pieces have fallen into place. Now, unified, together, and finally working, this Telino squad gives off the smell of a champion. Or at least, a well deserved top four position for the club. If the squad improves from the dismal ninth place the team achieved this year, there's an excellent chance that a return to Premiership glory is in store for them within the two seasons or so.

Eccentric. Stunning. Dreamy. CdF Dowtel have a lot to look forward to with the brand new Daineri signing, striker Heron. With a team that was originally predicted by us to be heading down as well, we think that with the eccentric and shocking Heron, their chances have improved to edging out of another Promotion/Relegation playoff, with the peace and mind of having a secure spot in the Premiership for one more season. The crazy part is that if Heron gets injured, this squad takes a massive blow to the heart, making this squad weak. All Dowtel knows is that as long as Heron is healthy, relegation is behind them.

One of two teams moving on up from Serie B, Fontvieille club FC Olivera make their debut in the Premiership, waving hello to the world as they play in Casino Peak, the scenic venue located in the urban park of the same name. Strapped with cash before promotion to the Premiership, the now deceased Junior Administrator, and supporter of the club, Brent Stephenson gave the club some money to "buy whoever you need" and so they did. They bought promising Wolfopian striker Harlan Spears, and hope that with Spears on the squad, relegation is out of sight, and a secured spot in next year's Premiership is in sight as well.

Lastly, one of the original twelve teams forming the Premiership has finally come back up. Loren Buchholz has finally worked to bring back the FC Cove Dimond team back to where they belong. An okay squad, they're pretty rough around the edges, Henrik Kranz is the only hope they have of staying in the Premiership. Giving AC DuPont a run for their money two seasons ago, with a much younger Bruno Arce playing for AC DuPont, having been the only thing AC DuPont couldn't control. If things like this stay, then Kranz may have some clubs trying to sign him from across the multiverse in the next transfer window.

After twenty-two matchdays of domestic football, countless goals scored, many fouls made, and who knows what other obscure statistic in this Premiership, with forty-five points accumulated over these twenty-two match days, the champions of Yttribia are FC Delare Minon. With an impressive fourteen wins in the season, FC Delare Minon basically ran away with the Premiership, having been in the lead since match day one. Gremalsco FC finish in a distant second, finally returning to that peak position they've always wanted thanks to the duo of Tolstov and Henry. Farf manager Zivota Karapandza can finally rest easily, as Telino bounce back from a dismal ninth position, all the way up to third, with Zenic footballer Alexander Ayaode the key reason for this come back. Fontvieille FC round out the UICA qualifiers, backed by Hertel, Rowntree, and the eccentric manager Val Kylx. Dissapointments for Krista van Ostermann's Stemanisis SSC squad, as they finish in eighth place, and she finishes her career with the team. Lastly, Cecil Herberts abandoned ship a third into the season, seeing that Serraville CC was impossible to save from sinking into relegation. However, the surprise of the year was CdF Dowtel, who were led by Daineri striker Heron to a respectable sixth place in the Premiership. FC Cove Dimond are faced with relegation again, as they qualify for the Promotion/Relegation play-off, to take place before the start of next year's Premiership.

The comedians of the Falscher Bund are back up, La Halda football is finally being taken seriously by Haldans themselves, and in two seasons Etaulse went from the third division to the Premiership. And AC Gaillard went from third in the Premiership just two seasons ago to the third division itself. Welcome to Serie B. Ximena SC, perennial favorites from Telino were once again missing out on promotion, but then again it's a commonly occurring thing for them to be missing out and choking at the last minute. CdF Monte Carlo are heading down to the third division with AC Gaillard, while La Halda 1845 are going to play FC Cove Dimond to see who plays where next year. Orion Hill did well, missing out on a spot in the SBCC by just three points.

Steffano Colbertado's team Colbertado Ripporte did well, but not well enough to have a chance to achieve promotion to Serie B, as Dahlen Atletik are going to face off against Monte CF for a spot in next year's Serie B. Meanwhile CF Villacanes are going up to Serie B, dominating the C-liig, with ACF Frantoio moving up directly as well. Reserve team of Fontvieille FC, Fontvieille FC B are going down to D-vision IV, as are the team with the largest ever name in professional football, Schweighuasenergrund SK are heading down as well, with Artaise HSC going down as well, with their spot to be taken by the winner of the four team C-liig playoff.

What a difference a year makes. Deportivo Bosques Verdes, who were last year's representative in the Kylx Kup, have done a flip-around, and have achieved promotion to the C-liig, along with Epsenscheid 1795. Domicella CC are also going to be in contention for a spot in the C-liig, as they are joined by AF Mondrecourt, Gorintschach United, and SdF Fontaubella. What makes Fontaubella surprising is the fact that a town of around 2,500 have a good shot of going to the third division, which has stunned many Yttribians who have followed The National Leagues of Yttribian football. Project +90 Yttribia actually won some games this year, finishing in tenth place. And this year's representative for the Kylx Kup is SC Brambleton, wrapping up the four divisions of professional football.

With one season of the Tropicorp Lower Leagues already in the books, the opening matchday of season 2 marked significantly the first instance of a sustained, coordinated and unified Lower League system in support of the Vilitan Leagues.

While the teams contesting the Tropicorp League aspired to play in the Vilitan Leagues many would be fearful of the increased level of play in the new division, especially with the gap in quality sometimes evident between the top and the bottom of the table in the TLL. Such evidence was seen on the opening matchday of Season 2 as former league side Inura Forests of Turori smacked 6 goals past Julspora, a small Vilitan club making their Tropicorp League debut.

After 5 matches it was Tkaob Inlands, losing semi-finalists from the inagural Tropicorp Cup, who topped the table ahead of Spear Cape. However, in stark contrast to the opening season, Tropicorp FC had started strongly in their namesake competition just two points off the top. However, by the 10th matchday, things were all square at the top with Tropicorp FC having pulled level with Tkaob Inlands on 21 points.

Sokattack Mliona became the second Turorian side to blast six goals past a Vilitan minnow with a 6-1 victory over Cittea on Matchday 15. However, it was another Turorian side, Lpaka Indy, who were most impressive having climbed their way into the top 4 at the seasons midway point at the expense of the favored Sporta Eelandii and Tropicorp FC who lost 3 of 4 matches to slide down into the 5th position.

The Tkaob Inlands were in cruise control at the top continuing to stretch their advantage, leading by 4 points over the surprise package Lpaka Indy with 10 games to play. Despite a defeat at the hands of former league side Vilisorma, Tropicorp FC had settled back into the top 4 along with Vilisorma but recently relegated Nusira Lionta were just one point back along with Spear Cape. At the other end of the table, Mavaloiao City were propping things up with just 3 wins and a league-worst goal differential. Things were tight in the fight for 25th where Sile Town and Julspora were hanging on to stay 3 points clear of the relegation zone.

The big game took place on Matchday 22 when Tropicorp FC squared off against Tkaob Inlands in Tropicorp and made a race out of the table by upending the leaders 2-0, pulling themselves up into the runner-up spot in the process. Lpaka Indy's defeat by Mavaloiao saw them drop out of the top 4 as Nusira Lionta defeated Vilisorma to move up into 3rd.

But the racers of Lpaka fought back with a 1-0 victory over Nusira Lionta to swap right back into the top 4 on Matchday 23. In a true tit-for-tat, next it was Vilisorma's turn to complete the 3-team merry go round, a 1-0 victory over Lpaka Indy pushing them up into what was now a 4-way tie for second place between Spear Cape, Nusira Lionta, Vilisorma and Tropicorp FC. With just 5 games to play, the pack was still chasing Tkaob Inlands who were 6 points clear on 47 points.

While Tkaob were held by Wunokalsa Waridi on matchday 25, the rest of the pack didn't do themselves any favors as dropped points resulted in Surf Jettica leapfrogging to 2nd place on 43 points and the rest of the pack amalgamating into a jumbled mess with 3rd placed Spear Cape just 2 points clear of 10th place Cittea with only the top 4 advancing to the Tropicorp Cup.

Tkaob were held again on Matchday 26 and this time it was Lpaka Indy who took advantage to jump ahead of the pack into 2nd place and within 4 points of the leaders. At the other end of the table, with 3 games to play it was all over for Mavaloiao City who were 10 points from safety. Alikki, Crosaibi Rovers, Julspora and Crosaibi United were just 3 points back of the Alikki Locals however, in the battle to remain in the Tropicorp Lower League for Season 3.

Tropicorp FC's dream of promotion seemed to have ended once again on Matchday 27 with a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Riailia Village while a third straight draw for Tkaob Inlands allowed Vilisorma and the Corra Rangers to pull within 3 points of the top spot.

On the second to last matchday, Tkaob Inlands cruely travelled to Vilisorma and Vilisorma did not make it a warm welcome for the leaders who were decimated by a 3-0 scoreline to knock them from their perch for the first time since the opening weeks of the season. The duo were still on 50 points, 3 points clear of the 5th placed Corra Rangers, the only threat that could knock them out of the Tropicorp Cup. Nusira Lionta were 3rd on 48 and Sporta Eelandii held the tiebreaker over the Corra Rangers on 47.

However, a group led by Lpaka Indy still had Tropicorp Cup aspirations, just one point back on 46 points, including Surf Jettica and Cittea. Spear Cape were the only other team still mathematically in contention in 9th place on 45 points.

Going into the final matchday, Crosaibi United, Crosaibi Rovers and Julspora had joined Mavaloiao City in relegation, while Wunokalsa Waridi were two points shy of a 4-team battle for safety.

The dream ended for Lpaka Indy on the final matchday as Tkaob Inlands secured their place as regular season champions with a 3-1 victory. Sporta Eelandii also secured their place by cruelly relegating fellow Turorian side Wunokalsa Waridi. One season removed from Declasse Division competition, Nusira Lionta would have to wait even longer for a return after a 2-2 draw with Sile Town saw them slide out of the top 4, making room for the Corra Rangers.

They had done it once before quite successfully, and now they were going to do it for the second time. The Tropicorp Cup at Tropicorp Park consisted of two matches on day one, the winner of each match would be guaranteed a spot in the Vilitan Declasse Division for Vilitan League Season 45. The winners would also advance to the Tropicorp Cup final, the premier trophy exclusively available to non-league competitors in Vilita & Turori.

The first match saw Tropicorp Lower League champions Tkaob Inlands up against Corra Rangers who Tkaob had narrowly edged out to advance to the Inaugural Tropicorp Cup. The Corra Rangers made it a good match holding strong through 90 minutes, both sides having netted a first half goal, but eventually the Tkaob Inlands deservingly saw themselves through with the extra-time winner.

The second match saw former league side Vilisorma squaring off against Sporta Eelandii, the only Turorian team in the final four. Once again, the match would end level at one goal a piece after 90 minutes, but as in the earlier match, the favorite eventually prevailed with Vilisorma setting themselves up for possible silverware in the Tropicorp Cup

Tropicorp Cup Final
Having already clinched their place in the Vilitan Declasse Division for Season 45, there was still one thing left to settle between Tkaob Inlands and Vilisorma: The Tropicorp Cup.

While Tropicorp FC was once again nowhere to be found, Tropicorp officials billed the match as a chance for Tkaob Inlands to exact vengeance after Vilisorma's slightly humiliating 3-0 victory over Tkaob during the season. That match, which took place in Vilisorma, really set the tone for Vilisorma's run to the Cup. However, with silverware on the line, and a neutral venue at play, fans were hoping for a closer matchup.

There would be no vengeance to be exacted by Tkaob Inlands, however, as Vilisorma raced out to an early lead then sealed the deal late in the second half to seal their first ever silverware and crown themselves as the second Tropicorp Cup champions.

Tropicorp Cup Qualification Round
Tkaob Inlands 2–1 Corra Rangers
Vilisorma 2–1 Sporta Eelandii

Tropicorp Cup Final
Tkaob Inlands 0–2 Vilisorma

Vilisorma's Tropicorp Cup triumph marked the second consecutive Tropicorp Cup where the regular season champions were defeated in the Tropicorp Cup final by the regular season runners-up.

Vilita (VIL) final site bids

Champions Cup: Tivali Ring Stadium, Alikki-Corra (87,000 Seated)
The Football Association of Vilita is based at the Tivali-Ring Stadium in the capital city of Alikki-Corra, Vilita and many National Team training sessions take place on the grounds of the Tivali Ring. The Football Association regularly schedule matches at arenas throughout Vilita, especially bigger matches as many of the stadiums that host Stellar Division and UICA competition matches have expanded far beyond the capacity of the National Stadium at Tivali Ring, which is used only for the National Team, and, for the Vilitan Cup Final and Tropical Trophy matchup. In addition to its World Cup matches, 'The Ring' hosted the 40th UICA Series 'B' Champions Cup Final. The stadium was constructed as part of the Vilitan bid to host the World Cup 14 Cup of Harmony as a replacement to the former National Stadium in Lopinka that was destroyed during a regional conflict.

After being runner up in the voting to host multiple previous UICA finals including the previous UICA Champions Cup final, officials are hoping that the next UICA Champions Cup final could be lifted at the home of the Vilitan National Team, reigning World Cup champions.

Globe Cup: Lunar Park, Seraai, Vilita (129,000)
Lunar Park became the largest stadium in Vilita at the time of its construction. Although some stadiums have added poor quality seating or standing/viewing areas to exceed the 129,000 capacity mark, Lunar Park offers quality seats all around the stadium and is the largest all-seater stadium in the nation. Fans at Lunar Park sometimes get treated to events such as Rocket Launches and suborbital testing as the stadium was constructed by the Vilitan Space Program overlooking some of their active launch facilities. Lunar Park is the home of Vilitan side Eastal Lunar FC and hosted the final of the Cup of Harmony 50: Golden Edition in addition to Series-B Champions Cup 37 and 45.

Series 'B' Champions Cup: Marine World Park, Crosaibi (57,500)
Marine World Park is the oldest stadium in Vilita, home of the historic club Marine Coast United. The stadium was at one time the largest stadium in Vilita by seating capacity before the construction of the Tivali Ring Stadium in Alikki-Corra prior to World Cup 13. Marine World Park is one of the few stadiums of the Vilitan league that was never hit by the expansion bug in the golden era of the Vilitan League. While many stadiums expanded to over 100,000 capacity, Marine World Park's coastal location made any expansion plans tricky, and some have blamed the lack of expansion for some of the troubles of Marine Coast United in attracting the talent they need to keep up with any of the Stellar Division teams. Marine World Park also hosted parts of the World Cup 17 Finals in addition to the 34th and 47th Series 'B' Champions Cup Final and Second Youth Cup Semi-Final and Final rounds.

Turori (TUR) final site bids

Champions Cup: Iobabao Legendary Park (90,500)
The rising success of Mliona-Lpaka in the modern era of the Vilitan League necessitated the renovation of the old Mliona Park stadium to improve not only capacity but quality of experience as it was no longer just locals but foreign visitors and clubs travelling to Turori to visit the stadium. While some funding came from the clubs success, others came from Turorian Tourism funding to ensure visiting fans wanted to come back to Turori after their first impressions. After the renovations were complete, the stadium was renamed after former Mliona-Lpaka and Turori Eels star Kaboafo Iobabao.

Globe Cup: Cednia Beach Center, Cednia, Turori (103,000)
The Cednia Beach Center is one of the purest examples of capitalism and expansion in the Vilitan Leagues. Originally a modest plot for a modest team, the stadium has risen along with the rise of the club. Now, a world class stadium capacity wise, there are concessions that were made. The training grounds outside the center are second rate, and parking is virtually non-existent at the complex. Public transportation - including your own two feet, would be required for fans to access the stadium. Thats alright though, plenty of lodging surrounds the local area within walking distance.

Series B Champions Cup: Kionao Minor Field, Kionao (88,000)
Kionao Locals would make 88,000 tickets available for the event, per their proposal, which includes the installation of a large video board for the match in the location where over 20,000 standing room only tickets are currently sold on matchdays. Other stadium improvements include a large pen where some Cocoabos will be on display to help raise awareness for the plight of the Cocoabo.

Legalese (LGL) final site bids

Champions Cup: National Stadium, Legalese City (83,068)
In the years since the return of Legalese to the international footballing community, the capital city replaced Francis City as the home of the national association, and of the Legalese National Team. This was cemented with the construction of National Stadium, the largest stadium in the nation. While over thirty years in age, the facilities underwent a significant renovation project in preparation for hosting the Final of World Cup 68, including fixing some of the structural damage that resulted from the capacity crowds that ended to jump and shake the bowl in this all-seater. National Stadium plays host to a significant number of the home matches required for the Legalese National Team, as well as the Liganaia side LC Capitals. It is also part of a greater complex which will be made available to the finalists, including training facilities normally reserved for the Legalese National Team.

Globe Cup: The Park of the Phoenix, Tiberia (63,239)
The Park of the Phoenix lies in Tiberia, a city that serves as, more or less, one of the major land border cities with Starblaydia. As such, while the name of the city honors the late Lord Protector of the aforementioned (and one-time benevolent occupier of Legalese), the stadium serves as an intentional stick in the eye to Starblaydia, a bit of international taunting in a way. Built for the 52nd Baptism of Fire Championship Match and the host of a World Cup 68 Semifinal, it serves as both a sign of how far Legalese as come, as well as the home pitch to local club Tiberian City. The stadium features a retractable roof, which folds into a configuration meant to resemble flames rising from the arena, as well as a movable natural grass pitch, permitting games to be played indoors on a top-condition field, yet still provide the ability for the grass to grow and remain healthy even when the stadium needs to be used for other purposes. Of course, the grass will be in place for the Globe Cup Final, should UICA deem it worthy.

Series B Champions Cup: Community Park, Comunas (48,420)
Comunas is a little-discussed city, and was the smallest locale to host a game in Legalese during World Cup 68. As a footballing town, the thing that has pushed Comunas has been the on-pitch success of the Comunas Cougars, who were the first winners of the Federation Open Cup, and now a regular in the Liganaia One. Community Park is, effectively, the newest football stadium in Legalese, being built on top of the Cougars' former home ground in preparation for World Cup 68. With just over 48,240 with four separate stands, the location is possibly small by some standards, but one that the neutrals will help fill.
Host/Co-Host of:
World Cup XXII and LXVIII
Cup of Harmony XI and XIII
Baptism of Fire IX, XIV, XV, XVI, XLII, LII
The Inaugural CAFA Cup
AOCAF Cup V and XXXIV

Winner of Cup of Harmony 55 and Jeremy Jaffacake Jamboree II
Anaia: Like all the best ideas, this is moving from "lampoon" to
"take seriously" rather quickly

Series B Champions’ Cup 52: Crystal Fair HC, Scoltland City

Equestrian States (EQS) final site bids
Champions' Cup 55: Royal Equestria Stadium, Canterlot (capacity 98,625)
Not far from the traditional home of the Equestrian States' government, Royal Equestria Stadium is one of the newest sports venues in the nation and can seat nearly 100,000 ponies with standing room for thousands more. Built to replace the aging Equestria Dome as the official home of the national teams, Royal Equestria Stadium is a reflection of the country, truly representing its traditions, natural beauty, and modernity. With a roof of magically-sculpted crystal, the stadium is awe-inspiring in its grandeur and has allowed the Equestrian States to show its most appealing side to the rest of the world. Royal Equestria Stadium has hosted a number of major events, including the 57th Cup of Harmony final, the 67th World Cup third place match, the 29th Di Bradini Cup final, the 21st World Cup of Hockey finals, and the annual United Cup final.

Crystal Empire (CRY) final site bids
Globe Cup 52: Imperial Arena, Crystopolis (capacity 69,740)
Located adjacent to the towering Crystal Palace, Imperial Arena was constructed shortly after the Crystal Empire reappeared to the north of Magical Equestria as a part of the nation's bid to host the Equestria Games. In the decade or so since the Games were held, many other sports competitions have taken place in the Empire's largest stadium and several prominent local hoofball clubs have also taken up residence, including Globe Cup 47 quarterfinalists Crystopolis City. A multipurpose indoor venue, Imperial Arena's main field is encircled by a track, somewhat limiting the seating of supporters, though additional accommodations will be added to reduce the distance separating the fans from the field. Additionally, it should be noted that pickaxes, hammers, chisels, and other tools brought into the Crystal Empire will be confiscated and checked upon entry to the nation as stealing chunks of the Empire's predominantly crystal architecture is generally frowned upon by the local authorities.

The Royal Salchar Archipelago Football Federation (RSAFF)

Presents the Inaugural Season of the

Archipelago Football League(AFL)

A Brief History of Football in the Salchar Archipelago
For the longest time, Ice Hockey was the main sport in the country of Salchar, Football was played, but not enthusiastically. The tribal country of Wild Isle enjoyed many native sports, one of which, was closely related to football. Salchar Missionaries helped the Taparuamotuens (the natives to Wild Isle) realize that the sport of theirs, called Tapuwhenga was played in other parts of the world. Wild Isle formed the first ever Taparuamotu Tapuwhnga team, which competed in the Football event at the VII Summer Olympics in Krytenia, the Copo Rushmori X in Valladares, Baptisim of Fire 48 in Ossidiacqua and World Cup 61 Qualifying where Wild Isle played their first ever home game. As Football, or Tapuwhenga in Wild Isle grew, a league or Nohanga was created with teams from the Taparuamotu beaches. Ruaonemotunga won the first ever Nohanga season, while Awamoanatai won the second Nohanga. In addition to the Nohanga season, Wild Isle also Hosted the Kiwinokohat Kopuu, the Wild Isle domestic Cup, the two victors were, Awamoanatai, and Ruaonemotunga. The League went dormant for a year due to angry Taparuamotu war chiefs demanding the land on which the Nohanga Pitch was placed. Bonds btween Wild Isle and Salchar grew, and more and more Salcharians became intrested in Nohanga Football. The Salchar team, Tribal, from the Manomotu Islands (very close to wild isle) grew in popularity with friendlies against Nohanga teams. Salchar City team, The Core, Joined in on friendlies with Tribal, Awamoanatai and Ruaonemotunga. Other teams from all across Salchar were formed, an organized league was needed.

Salchar took action...

The RSAFF was formed and created the ArchPrem, which included teams from the Nohanga and all across Salchar. Other Leagues include The CapCano, for teams from the Capitol Island and the Great Volcano. The SalchLeague included teams from all across the Salchar Island. The new Wild Isle league, also named the Nohanga, had most of its teams from the original Nohanga, the others were from the western tribal beach of Tetuoneparuiwi.

Format
The format for the Archipelago Football League is based off of the three Football Associations, CVFA Capitol Volcano Football Association, SIFA Salchar Island Football Association, WIFA Wild Isle Football Association.

The CVFA manages the CapCano league, and every team in the Archipelago Football League from the Capitol Island and the Great Volcano. The SIFA manages the SalchLeague league, and every team in the Archipelago Football League from the Island of Salchar and Salchar City. The WIFA manages the Nohanga and every team in the Archipelago Football League from the Wild Isle.

The Inaugural season of the ArchPrem was a tight race for the first title that ended in a tie in points. Awamoanatai, Taparuamotu Tribal Nohanga Champions and Kiwihohaat Kopuu Champions from the past Nohanga season and, The Core, from the heart of Salchar City and widely considered to be the best team in the nation of Salchar, tied for first place in the ArchPrem. The tiebraker used was wins, Awamoanatai with 19 and The Core with 20. The Core won the first ever ArchPrem. Tribal, who were Salchar favorites and Salchar City FC, the advertised "best team in the city" had fallen short of the title. Ruaonemotunga, who had won a Kiwinohaat Kopuu and a Taparuamotu Tribal Nohanga did not do as good as Awamoanatai and instead were forced to a relegation playoff. Salchar fans were looking forward to a rivalry between Awamoanatai and Ruaonemotunga, but the games they played against each other were all won by Awamoanatai.

Royal Salchar Cup

In addition to the AFL, Salchar organized a domestic cup to fill the final Globe Cup spot. This is the first ever Royal Salchar Cup. The cup includes all teams from the Salchar Nation from the ArchPrem, and all teams from the CapCano and SalchLeague leagues.

Format
The format is based upon each teams results during the regular season, and whether or not that team advanced to the Promotion/Relegation playoffs. 1st round consists of the 8 CapCano teams that did not advance to the playoffs and the 6 SalchLeague teams that did not advance to the playoffs. The teams are randomly drawn against each other. 2nd round consists of the 7 teams advancing from the 1st round and the 9 teams that advanced to the playoffs from either CapCone SalchLeague, or relegated from the ArchPrem. The teams are randomly drawn against each other. 3rd round consists of the 8 teams advancing from the 2nd round and the 8 teams in the ArchPrem who did not take part in the playoffs. The eight ArchPrem teams are matched up against the eight teams advancing from the previous round. The quarterfinals feature the 8 teams advancing from the 3rd round. The semifinals feature the 4 teams advancing from the quarterfinals. The final features the 2 teams advancing from the semifinals. The winner of the final earns a spot in the Globe Cup, if the winner has already qualified for the Globe cup, then the runner up earns the spot, if the runner up has already earned a spot, the two semifinal losers playoff for the spot.

The Fifty-Fifth Champions’ Cup
Extra & First Preliminary Round Draw

Image

Procedural notes
  • The entries of Nesika Illahie and Novach were rejected, as UICA has been informed that their clubs’ proposed home grounds no longer exist and they have failed to nominate alternative venues.
  • The entry of No Massean teams entered for this cup (MAS) to the Series B Champions’ Cup was rejected, as the team exceeds the character limit and failed to qualify for the competition on sporting merit.
  • New Sideburn (NSB) has been renamed Nephara (NPH).
  • German American States (GAS) has been renamed Rüntenbach (RTB).
  • Allied Omaha, Ciconia and Castelorredondo, Cosumar, Evraim, Firinsymnia, McKleigh, Miklandia, Nova Anglicana, Red Blackiland, Venetsiya, Western Borderlands, and York People are duly warned that UICA has recently acquired the PSC’s surplus stock of adorable little biplanes, and will not hesitate to use them to bombard these football associations’ headquarters with stacks of entry forms should they fail to submit their entries using a proper header in the format “Samplestan (XYZ) qualifiers”.
  • Brenecia, Kitsunia-Déesse, and Presidential America are reminded of their obligation under new UICA regulations to declare all controlling interests in their associations.
  • The Football Leagues of the Paradystopi Commonwealth, the Minor Valhallan League, and the United Hoofball Association are sternly glanced at for failing to supply all required information for a multiassociational league entry, including (in the first two cases) designating which associations are the primary associations and (in all three cases) which of their teams would have qualified for UICA competitions had their places not been taken by other associations. Despite this failure, their entries have been determined to be valid.
  • The entries of Guingamp (KRN) to the Champions’ Cup and of its under-19 team to the Series B Champions’ Cup were accepted, although the club is reminded of its responsibility to field a squad in those tournaments and the Youth Cup simultaneously should the teams reach their respective group stages, and to ensure that home venues are available for all matches.
  • The totals of 131 teams in the Champions’ Cup, 391 teams in the Globe Cup, 273 teams in the Series B Champions’ Cup, and of 688 clubs from 103 associations entering UICA competitions are new UICA records. In order to accomodate this number of teams, the champions of the thirty-two unranked associations have been placed in an extra preliminary round in the Champions’ Cup, with the winners advancing to the first preliminary round of the Champions’ Cup and the losers entering the first preliminary round of the Globe Cup. Of the 144 teams in that round of the Globe Cup, 76 have zero coëfficient, so four balls were drawn and placed in the seeded pot at the start of the draw to create two equal pots of 72 teams. In the Series B Champions’ Cup, the third-placed teams of associations ranked 1–7 have been granted access to the second preliminary round so that the unranked associations’ second-placed teams can all start on level terms in the first preliminary round.

Final site selection
Fourteen bids to host the Champions’ Cup final were received, although the one from Vyktory Arena was discarded because members of the Selection Committee assumed it was a joke, and that there couldn’t seriously be a nation named “Vyktory”.

UICA acknowledges the receipt of bids from AER (Gloriax), Curio (The Inevitable Syndicate), Visit Schiavonia (Schiavonia), and Vaduzzer Abrahamsen (Yttribia) to become a UICA Partner for seasons 56–63 (ignoring the fact that Curio apparently can’t count that high), and of bids from Curio and Vaduzzer Abrahamser for the UICA video game license for the same period. The Executive Committee will consider the bids and announce their selection at the conclusion of Series B Champions’ Cup 52.

:: Tivali-Ring Stadium Selected as 55th Champions Cup final venue

Alikki-Corra, Vilita :: After finishing runner-up in stadium selection voting 5 times over the previous 6 UICA Seasons, the Tivali Ring Stadium in Alikki-Corra will finally have a major international championship played once again.

Image
The Tivali-Ring Stadium, as seen during a World Cup 57 Finals matchup
between Vilita and Gyatso-Kai, will be buzzing once again as the crown
jewel of International Domestic sport comes to Alikki-Corra
The Tivali-Ring has been selected as the site of the 55th UICA Champions Cup final, just one season removed from having lost out by a single vote in the selection to the Titania Arena in Gloriax. The selection marks the culmination of a long string of disappointing stadium selection votes not only for the Tivali Ring, but for stadiums throughout Vilita & Turori. Prior to the successful awarding of the Champions Cup final to the Tivali Ring Stadium, 6 Vilitan Stadiums and 3 Turorian stadiums had finished in the runner up position based on votes from the selection comittee without being awarded hosting rights. While no Vilitan or Turorian stadium has ever been selected to host the Globe Cup final, many have come close including the Tivali Ring which agonizingly finished runner-up in the selection process for three straight campaigns from the 49th through the 51st UICA cycle losing out to stadiums from The Inevitable Syndicate, Maklohi Vai and Valanora.

This will be the second UICA final held at the Tivali Ring Stadium, the first was th 40th Series-B Champions Cup won by Islay Town Mechanical of the Polar Islandstates. The 55th UICA Champions Cup final will mark just the second time the Final was contested in Vilita, with the 47th edition being held at the Lonngeylin Coliseum between Ituraitz FC of Astograth and Navel FC of the Whirl Islands.

The Tivali Ring stadium is sure to make for an electrifying atmosphere for the upcoming UICA Champions Cup final and it will be made even more special for sports enthusiasts from around the multiverse who will be able to view, from a small distance of course, the trophy case of the Vilita National Football Team, most notable the two World Cup trophies next to each other, a stunning comparison between old and new as Vilita's National Team, the 'Jungle Cats' recently took home the 68th World Cup title breaking a 48 cup drought since their previous title, during World Cup 20 - the longest such span between two World Cup titles by a single nation in the competitions history.

The pomp will be large and the circumstance stupendous but in the end it will be up to the two teams on the pitch to provide the real entertainment, and now Vilitan fans will be hoping that with a national-record four teams (Jungle Strike FC, Turoki United, Turoki Tide, Makosile United) entered in the competition, plus one from Turori (Mliona-Lpaka Turori AFC), that they will get to see at least one of their own teams contesting the final in Alikki-Corra.

:: Tropicorp Mull Venue Opportunties

Image
Having opted to stay out of the Stadium Bidding Process thus far due to potential confusion with their partnership with the UICA Super Cup, Tropicorp officials have mulled an inquiry into any future location considerations for the site of the Super Cup, contested seasonally between the winners of the three major UICA Competitions - The Champions Cup, the Globe Cup and the Series-B Champions Cup.

The event typically consists of 3 matches, with the Champions Cup winner facing the Globe Cup winner and the Series-B Champions Cup winner, as well as the Globe Cup winner facing off with the Series-B Champions Cup winner. Of course, Tropicorp Park has already successfully proven its ability to host an important 3-team tournament on its neutral territory in recent seasons with the introduction of the Tropicorp Cup, a recently introduced competition where the top 4 teams in the Tropicorp Lower League compete for the two Vilitan League Declasse Division places vacated by virtue of relegation. The Tropicorp Cup has been deemed a success over its first two seasons and Tropicorp officials are now looking to expand the portfolio of events held at the Park. This reportedly may include an inquiry to UICA regarding venue opportunities for future Super Cup competitions, or, new or alternative format competitions that include the champions of the recently introduced UICA Youth Cup, similar perhaps in style to that of the recently held Diamond Jubilee.
