The second Vennskap Shield was played last night in Grand Duke's Stadium, Rumiatzi. With Northbrook and Aasiaat fas excitedly making the trip across Rushmore to Astograth, eager to see their teams continue winning silverware, the legendary stadium in the heart of Astograth's capital was packed to the rafters with Polarians and interested Astograthians alike. For their troubles, they were served an irresistible platter of attacking football, with the Northbrook defence simply keeping their doors tighter than their Aasiaat counterparts in the end, and recording a resounding victory.

Played between the league champions and the Latitude Cup winners, it was the Latitude Cup winners of Aasiaat Harbour who got things off to a start. This is the bests football Aasiaat have seen their side play in years, and it is a stunning turnaround from Divisjon Two to the Globe Cup and international football, all via the SBCC win against Ojedo Cerro that seems to be the catalyst for this form. Luke Mitchell, the new signing from Syndicatian side Gatesby Athletic, was starting up front to make his debut for the Pilots in what is billed as a friendly cup match. Mitchell clearly never got that memo however, and he was first to test the rock solid Northbrook defence with a rasping drive that required Calhoun to palm it away in barely the third minute. Luc Puumalainen joined in the fun as well, testing Calhoun with a fierce drive that was straight down the throat of the keeper.

For all their early dominance however, Aasiaat were unable to break through the defence that won the Diamonds their title, and indeed it was that very defence that broke through and scored the first goal of the match when captain Kohev Küngas-Vaga whipped in a free kick that evaded the Aasiaat defence to leave Hesjedal with a simple tap-in.

Jakub Lunder has instilled a great team spirit in this Aasiaat side however, and one small goal wasn't going to curtail their fun for the day, and they were clear about their intentions to entertain the paying crowd when Mitchell and fellow new signing Aelshman Aled Jones exchanged passes in the opposing half before Jones attempted an audacious lob that Calhoun could only just palm over the bar. Urging his defence to wake up, the keeper was unlucky at the corner that followed, inadvertently blocked by his own players as Mitchell rose highest to beat Von Helz in the air and open his account for his new club with a goal on his debut.

After the restart, it was the Diamonds who would begin the stronger however, and for all of Aasiaat's dominance in the first half, the second half definitely belonged to Northbrook. Opening up the midfield by stretching wider in possession, the creative midfielders that were the engine room for Northbrook's historic Divisjon One trophy were soon dictating play, and it wasn't long before young Acquan striker Alessandro Finiguerra was played through on goal by Villeneuve's direct style of through-ball. The deadly striker doesn't miss from those angles, and Northbrook had the lead.

Pushing forward for an equaliser, Aasiaat were two behind before they could even blink, with Ezekiel Fibonacci launching a counter-attack with one long pass that fell to the feet of Mytanar striker Laze v Tuhinju. Taking two steps, the experienced international striker noticed Valeev way off his line and dispatched a panenka style shot from thirty yards that gracefully arced over the keeper and into the goalmouth.

Chasing the game, Aasiaat continued to push forwards, and Mitchell could have made himself very popular with the Pilots fans indeed but for the last ditch tackle of Küngas-Vaga, who dispossessed the Syndicatian striker just as he was about to pull the trigger. Aapo Romanovros was forced off with a tight hamstring that Pilots fans will be hoping is nothing more serious that a slight pull, and Aasiaat began to lose some of their forward momentum after that, relying on the pace of Puumalainen to launch their attacks.

Their tiredness would tell, and despite bring on youth striker Oleg Figgeberg for the tired legs of the hard-working Mitchell, it became easier for Northbrook to run past their opponents, perhaps showing the benefits of a fuller summer of pre-season preparations than their opponents have had. Zuzen Barta, on as a second half substitute and in anticipation of his last ever match for the Diamonds in the Ides of March Cup, showed everybody why he'd become such a fan favourite in his time at the club, neatly stepping over the ball and whipping in a cross that Finiguerra headed home to finally kill the game off.

For Aasiaat fans, it was a long way to come for a defeat that looks on paper much heavier than the balance of play would have indicated, and in fact they can be heartened by the fact that if it wasn't for the Northbrook defence that stayed so strong last season, they could have been two goals up before the Diamonds even got out of the blocks. In the end, it was another victory for Niko Marek and his boys however, and they are looking like being strong contenders for the title once again. It wasn't so long that Niko Marek's name was being bandied about by the press as a manager that could be tempted away by bigger and better things. On this showing though, he has turned Northbrook into that bigger and better thing.

A fascinating season, and very close, too, one point seperating the top three as the introduction of UICA placements added a real incentive to really fight for 4th; the new money of Brinemouth winning that struggle. Parrhesia and Maximum rounded out the top six, and Ivan Knightley’s resignation at Treason symbolises the end of an era. Meanwhile, stunning finishes for the newly promoted clubs, Raven River in 8th, Brookford at 10th, Cranequin in 13th and Iron City resisted relegation all the way up to the final day of the season. At the other end of the table, Integabad struggled with catastrophically bad luck and Vermillion experienced a total meltdown, relegated. The others were Rochford and the Harriers, and neither of them went down quietly, either, the latter mounting a brave last charge in the second half of the season.

Summery:

Another Session in the bag for Blue Bay AFC, finishing 7 points ahead of Forrestbrook Forresters, who finish in their best position in 18 years. Another big record is for Pride of the Forest, who finished forth for the first time ever! an impressive session to go out on for the star forward, Oli Weekes who retires at the end of this session.

Blue bay make it 3 Island cups in a row and will look towards qualifying for the Champions’ Cup finals, they have an experienced team and are simply dominating the league (despite losing the other major teams in the league)

at the other end of the table, Levi Kithi Villagers who did so great last session, just stayed in the the top league. but Drakes city who avoided the drop last year, didn't quite make it and now will be playing Division 1 along with North bridge City and Poredak Polcats.

Nelson Bohannan (Kings District Athletic: Retiring)

The Rock of Khytenna! a tall strong defender was monster to play against and a fantastic sweeper, he has played all over the world but now retires here in Khytenna in the club he started his career at, was plaining one more session after this but was forced to moved his professional retirement sooner due to injury, KDA will now have to look for a new captain.

Oli Weekes (Pride of the Forrest: Soon to retire)

Oli has only been with pride for a few session but has made his name known, an amazing striker and has helped but Pride into the top 4 for first time, the man is a fan favourite and chants are sung about him. When asked by his coach before the session started how many more games can he last, he replied "i know i have one good sesson left" this session he got his bronze boot after scoring 33 goals! He has played 20 international games, scoring one goal . Before moving, he was at Gwinevra Barbarians in Apox, where he played for 8 years, playing 148 games and scoring 55 goals. He will be playing in the internationals for his club, but after that he will hang his boots up.

Ninety-nine years ago, Capitalizt SLANI and Jasĭyun ended a decades-long dark age in Paripanan club football, each nominating sixteen of their best clubs to play in a joint league which would stretch from Aeropag to Otário, christened the Capitalizt Élite League. After a dramatic first season in which Dûsanto lifted the trophy—a triumph they’ve never repeated—after finishing level on points with Yuba and Savana, the league was invited to send its next champion to Ourseville for the Tournoi Invitation Raoul-Chagnon, which pitted the kings of Paripana against those of Ad’ihan, Septentrionia, and Vephrall. Although this mini-league failed to provide much of a challenge, with the Élite League holders winning five Tournois out of six, it was not long before some very clever advertisers got the idea to stage a championship for the top teams from every league in the world—a much simpler task then. It was that year, 2144, that two pivotal moments would shape the course of football history for the next century.

The sixth season of the Élite League ended in a quagmire wrapped in an enigma wrapped in a system of equations; five teams remained in contention for the league title on the final day. Although the planets had aligned in the other matches—Black Oasis and Carter were held to draws and San Solari took a 5–0 hiding at the hands of Dûsanto—Yuba United stood in fifth place with the score 1–1 against High Mountain…until the Buffalo came charging in just a fraction of a second too late, and the referee pointed to the spot. They couldn’t have known for sure at that moment, but that penalty kick in added time was all that the Silver-Blues needed to jump from fifth to first, win their third Élite League title and secure their passage to the second Champions’ Cup; they certainly couldn’t have known it would kickstart a three-year period of dominance for Yuba in which they won eight of the nine domestic trophies available to them. That, in turn, established the Bedistani titans as Paripana’s preëminent club, winning a total of 20 Élite League titles over the 58 seasons, and ensured that they would never fail to qualify for the Champions’ Cup, a record which still stands today. On the other hand, Black Oasis would have won the league were it not for Yuba’s goal, but instead their silver medals were the last they ever received in the top flight.

Fans of drama at the penalty spot would have been satisfied with that, but there was more to come the next week at Holmes Stadium, where Ad’ihani runners-up Olympique Protectorat and newly-crowned champions Yuba United were deadlocked, 2–2 after ninety minutes and the same after thirty more, in the final that would decide the first world champion of the modern era. Each team took their five kicks from the penalty mark, but that was not enough, either, as both scored four. The tally swelled to 8–8 before a save by Ha Sûn-ji gave the Silver-Blues a chance, which Ha took herself, to terminate the interminable shootout, earning her the right to be the first person to lift the new trophy. That trophy now sits on permanent display at Alesanka Park after Yuba won it five times, and their name now graces its replacement as well after they won the competition for an unparalleled sixth time. Olympique Protectorat, meanwhile, never reached another UICA final, and now battle relegation from the LAPFL Federation’s second tier; after a few stints in the Series B Champions’ Cup, their last UICA-sanctioned match was an under-21 rematch against Yuba United as part of UICA’s 25th anniversary celebrations, which they lost 2–0.

Going into its one hundredth year, the success that made the Élite League name known throughout the football world has turned toward mediocrity, with its associations sitting at an all-time low in the UICA coëfficient ranking. Paripanan clubs have now gone six seasons without a Champions’ Cup title; a seven-season lull would be unprecedented. Although Yuba remain a pillar of strength, the other teams of the old Big Three, Savana and Sonoma Center, have gone two and four decades without winning the league. Last season’s surprise champions Jamaica Giants appear to have the strongest squad in their storied history, but now again face the Champions’ Cup gauntlet that has stymied them in the past. CF Aéropag suffered the indignity of a season in the Promotion League, but now hope that the glitz and glamor of the Silver City can attract players who will lift them to metaphorical heights rivalling the height of the Olympic Tower. Who will seize the moment that defines the next century of sporting history? Who will rise to the challenge, and who will fall into obscurity? Who will reign supreme as Paripanan football royalty?

OOC2: In order to keep the changes to my three countries secret until I have a chance to reveal them in the arc of my current RP novella (see the first part here of "No Remedy But Force", the opening section which explains the changes in FSC. In this thread, I will post at least one more part which will be directly relevant to the later reorganization of the Free South Califas Football Association. I also know what I want to do with IACS and have a faint idea or two for UK Central North America, but those will happen later. For now, I have an obligation to Paradystopia to scorinate results so their puppet Commune-PDTv2 can play as I promised I would help, and have showed up late. As a stopgap measure, FSC, UKCNA and IACS teams will continue as before due to special contracts signed between the CSL and teams which have a beef with one of the member associations (but are still counted among their number), this to preserve the remaining prestige of all participants, such as is possible.

CSL called to order again after inaction

Yerushalayim, Iacs - CSL Chief Executive Delegate Rachel Peres is pleased to announce that, finally, after a long year which saw the League suspend operations after its three largest associations were upended by conflict, the four member associations have reunited to call the League to order. She also offers her most sincere apologies on behalf of all four associations and the League for their absence from the international football community during their long year of torment and struggle.

The four associations, with their ranks after their last season of play, are ⁴⁴Free South Califas (7 UICA member teams), ⁵³UK Central North America (5 teams), ¹⁰⁶Commune-PDTv2 (6 teams), and ¹¹⁰Iacs (5 teams). OOC note to Commerce Heights: IACS is changing its name but should be considered the same association, same teams etc. I will note this later as well.

Fortunately, to minimize disruption, we have secured agreements with all clubs which now find themselves outside of their original country's territory, to stay in the relevant football associations, at least for now. CSL Season 5 will be remarkably similar to the other four, except that Communadi teams will finally compete against the other three associations for the first time, and all through the campaign. We are all excited to take this groundbreaking step forward for mid- and low-table associations together, and hope that our fans and the international football community share our excitement.

We can confirm that two Communadi teams have been selected for CSL Series A, Mogd-Syrdusha Khvadrant'delta and Mogd-Syrdusha Sentrhaalnoya-Sektor, better known internationally as M.S. K-Delta and MS Sentrhaalnoya, respectively. We all believe these two teams will be competitive in CSL Series A, reaching greater international media platforms while enriching the experience of players, fans and tourists from all three previous associations. Four teams, Mogd-Syrdusha Khvadrant'beta (MS K. Beta), Muskula'dheen Sektor-Sevhyer'dvha (M'Dh Sevhyer'dvha), Mogd-Syrdusha Khvadrant'gamma (MS K. Gamma), and Muskula'dheen Sektor-Yhuug (M'Dh Yhuug) were admitted to CSL Series B, with the rest filling out positions down the rest of the table.

Unfortunately, former Series A clubs Rishon LeZion (Iacs) and Twentynine Palms (FSC) were demoted to Series B to make room for the new additions, and sadly, six teams had to be removed from the bottom of the previous Series B results, as well. We were able to bring back the Series G teams that were going to be eliminated, but will be forced to cut 14 bottom-ranking teams after the coming campaign. We have also been forced to retire the Califan Solidarity Champions' League (CSCL), a competition which brought great enjoyment to the three prior associations but would add too much stress to an already massive travel agenda for the four disparate associations which now populate the CSL, especially those which also have UICA obligations.

Above all, although we had to place them near the bottom of the CSL structure, we are simultaneously humbled and honored by the opportunity and responsibility to safeguard the Communadi team The Revolutionaries from the systemic abuse which their government was leveling on them in their previous league. From this day forward, all Communadi teams advance on merit relative to the CSL alone, just like the other associations, and no player shall be abusively punished for any cause, nor made to do anything against hir will, which includes joining any team. To ensure a fair resolution to a situation we knew to be intolerable, but which the Communadi government was disinterested in addressing in a relevant manner, the three previous associations of the CSL stipulated that in order to join, the Communadi association would have to formally yield control of The Revolutionaries club to a CSL delegate, who would be elected by the current players. The League will also be monitoring their games closely for signs of continuing abuse or any other issue.

Civil society groups in all four prior territories have welcomed this move and lauded an apparent change in fortune for the prisoners. Assuring that their consent is honored will be difficult given their mental manipulation at the hands of their captors, but the League has hired an elite team of psychiatrists and psychologists to help us all sort out these difficult issues with the correct policy direction and treatment/training plan.

A Message From the Commissioner (lifted from the league website, the rest is from other IC sources)
Ten years ago, Citizens for 95X Domestic Soccer, Inc., set out to form a meaningful soccer league in 95X. Unlike its predecessors, this league would not have four permanent teams playing mainly semi-professional opponents at obscure venues in hard-to-find locations. Soccer League X succeeded in placing sixteen teams in soccer-minded markets large and small, launched the involvement of 95X in the UICA, and built itself into the second-most-followed league in 95X. This is our tenth season, and we couldn't have done it without you, our fans. Thank you!

UICA Team Previews

Spatula City Utensils
The defending Soccer League X Champions once won three championships in a row and are looking to add to their league-leading total. With their six national team players at their disposal and the only players not returning due to retirement, they're a solid contender. It's also a minor miracle a team finishing the regular season with 49 points and tied for fourth place would win it all and go deeper into the Globe Cup than any other 95X team.

SC Cascadia
The senior team that calls the largest city in 95X home is said to be short on cash after winning rights to play home games in the brand-new, state-of-the-art Cascadia Bank Stadium. Nonetheless, Evan Edwards continues to hold up in his early 30s and the team has a young but developed and talented backfield. Time will tell if any have a long term future with the team or if they're simply pawns for trade.

SC Oceanside
Xi Foureleven; need we say more? Despite her league-leading efforts, Oceanside has fallen short of the Championship Game twice, after winning three championships in a row. Former teammates and members of the press have described Foureleven as personally unpleasant and high-handed, while giving philosophical answers to basic questions; one made the candid observation that she is "the most brutal drill instructor I've ever known. And she's a soccer player." Her new agent, last seen with her leaving a Cascadia Hotel, definitely has his work cut out for him. Oceanside does have several other team players, who must work together to balance out Foureleven and bring out her best soccer-playing qualities.

Port Chester Ladybugs
Port Chester has virtually no household names on their roster, but they do have some of the best teamwork in Soccer League X. In league history, the Ladybugs have played at least one playoff game six times in nine seasons, and failed to win the Championship game the last two seasons.

Seaside Gulls
The most successful team to not yet win a Soccer League X Championship, the pressure is definitely on franchise defenders Stacey Rex and Ross Long to keep their opponents from scoring.

Weeksberg Glue
Despite finishing in third place two seasons ago to make their first 50-point season and their one and only playoff appearance, Weeksberg fell to seventh place last season and out of the playoff race. The retirement of midfielder W Ritchey also doesn't help matters any.

Mount Barry Altitude
Finishing in twelfth place for the third consecutive season, Mount Barry finds themselves in the second-worst current downward spiral in the league. 12th place is a long way from league champions, where they finished in the first season (pre-UICA).

Non-UICA Team Preview

The largest surprise of the non-UICA teams last season was the Brooklyn Cultures, who went from 15th to 8th place.

The expansion Cascadia Seafox (OOC: continuing the double-entendre that "95X reminds me of a radio station" and knows there's a RL region that calls itself Cascadia) found themselves instant fan favorites when Melissa/Michelle Mitchell, in top playing form nonetheless, joined the team after doctors confirmed she has no recollection or repressed memories of her middle and old ages, or even her death many years ago. (OOC: I brought her back as a lasting "did it really happen?" effect of the 2013 NS April Fools' Day Prank.) The Seafox are expected to go nowhere but up.

The most disappointing team in the league? Seven seasons ago, the Pacific City Nationals had Xi Foureleven and played for the Soccer League X Championship. Last season they found themselves in 14th place and fighting to stay out of the league standings basement. A sale to a group that also owns the Pacific City Yellowcards of the National Volleyball League looks imminent, which has promised sweeping changes in the nation's capital city should their bid to buy the team be approved.

The other teams? Fans in those cities keep them in the league, other than that they're mostly on their own. With unheard-ofs for hopefuls, there's always a possibility someone new will challenge the young establishment of the equally young league.

Club Football: A Announcement.

At the close on one of the best seasons in Felix Champions League history the Felixan Football Association (FFA) has announced the clubs going to play against other clubs from other countries.

Felix (FEL) qualifiers
Champions’ Cup: Sporting Volker
Globe Cup: Altomare, Cato, Sieberg

Sporting Volker-
Winner of the 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 season has been sent off to the Champions' Cup, they will represent Felix well as they have the young star, Luca Esser and goalkeeper Hartwin Kirchner. They will continue to use their 4-1-2-3 formation with a 5 style play. We expect them to finish pretty high up in the cup and we wish them good luck.

Altomare-
The team that had the lead, they came second and tied against Sporting Volker. They had first place in their hands when they took the lead against SV, but lost it in the 85th minute. They now will go to the Globe Cup to face off teams of the world and hopefully will represent Felix well. Their main weapons Mark Garza and Javier Fenzo from Amelio. Those two men are a dangerous duo and will be a problem to most teams. Like always they will play their 4-2-4 formation with a 5 style play.

Cato-
Came third in the FCL and could've had second has Sporting Volker scored another goal, nonetheless the hope to prove that they deserve to be here and will play to win. They, as Altomare and Sieberg, will go to the Globe Cup and they hope to finish in a great spot in GC. They have many great players such as Trygve Lund, Mark Finn, Matteus Urban and legendary goalkeeper Viggo Tyko. They will play their -3 styled, 3-4-3 formation and hope to wear out offensive teams to win their matches.

Sieberg-
A team that was once almost last in the league tables by midseason they improved to steal the 4th place spot from Dusseldorf F.C, they have a lot to prove as they look like to be the weakest team Felix has sent to the Globe Cup. But that shouldn't give you a safe feeling as they have many great players such as Arthur Schultheis, the goalkeeper, Noé Fierro, the forward and Rubinho Mata, the defender. They will be playing a slightly defensive (-1) 4-4-2 formation. They hope to prove the world wrong in the Globe Cup.

So there are the teams sent off to the Champions' Cup and Globe Cup, good luck to all the teams and may they bring glory to the Felixan football name.

In the other related news the FFA has sent their representatives for the next Campionato Esportivano di Campeones, Sporting Volker, Altomare, Cato and Sieberg will be going. Good luck to those teams.

Cascadia Bank Stadium (100,000), Cascadia, 95X

This brand-new, state-of-the-art facility is the home stadium of SC Cascadia and hosted all of its home games this season. Built specifically with soccer/association football in mind, care was taken so a fan in the cheap seats could still comfortably see the action (they're still going to want binoculars though). Amenities include a full UICA-specification soccer-specific natural grass pitch, luxury seating for affluent attendees, full-service food and non-alcoholic beverage service (sorry, 95X law prohibits the other type of beverage from being served at sporting events), secure wireless internet access, world-class team support facilities, and ample space for media professionals.

Cascadia is located on the southern tip of Cascade Island (see "AO Cities" map, link in Atlantian Oceania World Factbook Entry.), home of two teams while the overall island contains nine of the sixteen Soccer League X teams (Cactus, SC Cascadia, Cascadia Seafox, Mitchell, Mount Barry, North River, Oceanside, Port Chester, Spatula City). Cascadia is served by Cascadia Airport (international flights only), ferry service to mainland 95X, YellowBus to other cities on Cascade Island, and locally served by the all-encompassing Cascadia Transit ("CTRAN") public transportation system. Handling additional traffic will be a breeze as it is a felony in 95X to operate a privately-owned vehicle with a single occupant, hence traffic congestion is unheard of. As Cascadia is the largest city in 95X with tens of millions of people, practically every service imaginable is available here.

Filopines Premier League
Season 5 Preview

Seven years ago, a man had an idea. An idea to make the first professional football league in Filopines. His name was Lorenzo Dagamac-Navarro. Many people had never even heard of football before. Dagamac-Navarro met a man who said he had heard of a thing called soccer. The man thought it was a cake that smelt like socks. Lorenzo sat him down next to a fountain and showed the man a Champions Cup final from a few years back. The man wanted to help Lorenzo with the project after seeing a full game for the first time in his life.

Football is a great game. It is played all around the multiverse. Filopines was in Rushmore, one of the most famous footballing regions. Lorenzo wanted to turn Filopines into a true Rushmori nation, a football-loving nation. He did.

Lorenzo put together a group of businessmen, players, coaches and many more and created the Futbol Project Pilopinas which a year later turned into the Filopines Premier League. The only problem was stadiums. They were too small. Luckily, they were rich and built stadiums. The next year, the Filopines Premier League started.

Years later, even now still, Lorenzo Dagamac-Navarro is the Chief Executive Officer of the Filopines Football Federation. Football is at it's peak in the Filopines. The national team were so close to qualifying for the World Cup 64 proper.

And now, the Premier League is in it's fifth season and has produced many great players and is now being played by almost every young'un in the nation. More leagues have been created, including the National Championship League.

Last season, Crawley City and Foley Town were promoted from the NCL (National Championship League) and Kildrummie along with West Downham were relegated.

Who will win this season? Will Barnton reign again? Will the starstudded Fort Town Galaxy strike for the second time? Will the first ever foreign player lead Corvin to their first championship? Or will someone shock the league and come out on top unexpectedly? Only God knows.

Starting Season 5, before the start of the season, the Filopines Premier League champions and the FFF Cup champions play
a single game at Corsley Stadium. If a team won both competitions in the same season, the runner-up of the Filopines
Premier League will be the opposition. If scores are tied at the end of regular time, there will be extra time which could
lead to penalties.

Welcome back to another season of soccer! The 1st season of 2013 for the Torisakia Soccer League has begun. With all 26 teams from last year preparing, It's now a great time to make some predictions on what will happen. Last season, the FC Koradai Knightraiders won their 5th title after beating the Tokai Ice Birds in Megabowl LXIX. FC Koradai is looking for another title and their first ever back-to-back titles. That could change this year.

Many teams have gotten a lot better rankings since last season. FC Koradai retains the #1 spot in the nation after their championship win. Willis has it's best ranking since 1985 after finishing 8th in the playoffs. Last season's newbie, East Lake, returns with a not so good ranking. Tokai United is rank 25th despite being champions two seasons ago. Dorrsvile has it's worst ranking since 1966.

This season, things will be different. Twelve more matchdays have been added ontop of the already twelve matchdays that were in place, making a total of 24 matchdays. However, the playoff system will be the same as always. The top 8 teams in each conference will go to the playoffs and will follow the same playoff schedule that was used in the second season of 2012. There will now be conference championships played before the Round of 16. The top 2 teams from each conference will play each other to determine the winner of their conference. Regardless of the outcome, the teams who played for a conference championship, whether a loss or win, will still play in the Round of 16. The Round of 16 through the Semifinals will be a single-elimination. The Championship game will still be a best 3-out-of-5 series.

The Bruch H. Coker Trophy and the Gorbaduc Hogpen-Whitfoot Trophy will be awarded again this year. The Bruch H. Coker Trophy is awarded to the best player in the league, which was won by Will Owens last season. The Gorbaduc Hogpen-Whitfoot Trophy is awarded to the top 2 players from each conference, which were won by Mathias Hetzof and Hagos Mebrahtu from the Grand Conference and Johnny Kelso and Brady Mergenthal from the Pro Conference last season.

Congrats to the Lancet Ironheads who are the Torisakia Soccer League 2013 Season 1 Champions! 
They bring home the H.B Garvey Trophy for the 4th time in franchise history. The honorable MVP of Megabowl LXX 
was Lancet Striker Roy Crow, who scored 5 goals in the series. Elsewhere, Hagos Mebrahtu won the Bruce H. Coker Trophy,
well deserved to say the least. The Gorbaduc Hogpen-Whitfoot Trophy was awarded to Hagos Mebrahtu and Andrew Henderson 
of the Yasui Black Magic from the Grand Conference and Josh Stoddard and Scott Doerr of the Grand Cane Aztecs in the 
Pro Conference. As for the Lancet Ironheads, the cap the season off with their first championship since 1992. 
It's their 4th championship title all-time, playing the championship game in 1960, 1971, 1972, 
1973, 1975, 1986, 1992, 2001, 2007, 2008, 2012. They won in the years indicated in bold.

Licentian Football League

The Licentian league has expanded for the third time in its history. Circuit Club Hessington, originally the racing team based at the rally course, has expanded their operations, buying an amateur club on the little island, and gaining a license for the Football League. The second club to join the Football League this season is Royal Palace Football Club, the fourth club from Montfort. They are based in the area of the city where the De Montfort's royal residence is, hence their name. They were the best amateur team on the Islands last season, and were offered an LFL license simply to even up the numbers in the top two divisions.

After a couple of seasons of international mediocrity, the Licentian Islands have lost their second Champion's Cup spot. Even though this means that there is more competition for the single spot, it also means that the Licentian Premier League has been devalued as an international league. The clubs want to get their second spot back, and get back the respect that they have earned over the years.

Transfers In

A few new players, and a foreigner moving from one Licentian team to another; that's the big news of the Licentian transfer window. Two Polarian players have moved to the Licentian Islands; Roman Nystrom, a class winger that is overlooked by the Polarian system, has made the move to Celtic to raise his profile, and Niko Enemark, an aging striker, has made the move to defending champions AFC to join up with Drew Martin in their strikeforce. Veteran Mytanar 'keeper Albek Chichigov has signed a deal with contenders Carrington United, while SC have made a unique deal for Dejan Jozic; the 16 year old has been signed on a three year loan, after which he'll be headed back to Arka Snezhnaya.

Glenmount Town, a side who have been steadily improving over the years to become a contender to get into the Globe Cup, have signed Apoxian midfielder Martin Cilic, while Marlon Vetta, who came across the channel a few years ago to Old Corinthians, has made the move from the suburbs of Corinth to the big city, Colesham Athletic, after Corinthians were relegated again.

Transfers Out

Two of the biggest and best players in the Licentian Islands are headed abroad. Nate Parkinson, the Cyan-and-Gold captain, is headed to Mytanar side Arka Snezhnaya for a new challenge, while the nation's top striker, Alexander Keir, is staying closer to home; he's making a move across the channel to FC Endeavour. Two more players have made moves to Apox, with Kyran Stevenson and Joey Thompson heading to Gwinevra Barbarians and Egloskerry respectively.

Three young Licentian players have moved abroad as well, making their way to the frozen north of Rushmore, the Polar Islandstates. Teenager Roddy Dickson is heading to RSK Longyearbyen Town from Gaels, Sam Hill, someone who is making inroads into the national team already, is going to Surtsey Island Gulls, while Josh Brown has signed a deal with Red Star Severny.

Gaelic Football, Street Football and Haxball. Aside from the fact that they are variants of football, these sports were totally amateur and that was it. These were the only similarities they had between each other. However, after 2020, Northern Sunrise Islands consider these sports as professional sports, with teams actually paying for players. Yes, people are actually paid to play Haxball.

In the end, the NSIFC announced "Heritage Leagues", as a sort of Domestic League, but with the fact that they are restricted to a part of the country where the sport is more popular. The only problem is that, aside from the Haxball League, both Gaelic Football and Street Football obtained some sort of attention from other places.

Allejo Santos, Head of the Northern Sunrise Islands Football Confederation wrote:We couldn't be less worried with how the Heritage Leagues have been flowing. Truth is, we slowly notice that the rest of the country seem to be a little into those sports. Obviously, what we want is to make the bonds between the NSIFC and the Sunrisians even stronger, helping with technology and fitness to the camades of people.

Even though the once-Minister of Sports did go a little off, it is true that the Heritage Leagues have obtained some importance. With no further delay, here we have the results.

SUNRISE LEAGUE DEVELOPMENT
Centrals win the Development Trophy, Project +90 upset with another heartbreak
The sun shined stronger than usual in the city of Brighton today. After all, following the tight loss they put against Project +90 for the last matchday of the year at the Liu Keng Mau Stadium, all Brighton needed to do left was take the title home. The following day, a huge parade thrown at Brighton. The Centrals, like most of the champions of the D-League managed to get the top spot in the later weekdays, once again from the hands of Project +90.

Amongst the other teams of the Top Five, only Beart United wasn't an Indy team, with Languoil-College Francáis and Gwinett Heights completing the best five teams of the competition. NEXUS-CORE, last season champions En Avant Nice-Royes, Jet Set Ryder Lorelei, Granger SSJ and Ivy League United completed the Top Ten. Twilight Sparkers made a bad job all season long and got the Wooden Spoon as a result.

SUNRISE LEAGUE FIVE
Heather Town upsets bigger rivalry and take the title of the Fifth Division

Backed by a passionate town of supporters, Heather Town, who returned to the National Circuit after some years being in the Regional Leagues, are now officially back in the Fourth Tier after beating other thirty-one teams to get the title of the Sunrise League Five. The Apes won the title after a goalless draw against Nelapotelsk FC 1967 at the Heather City Stadium while Thunchester United made the travel to Águas de Piovanni and lost to the soon-to-be-rebranded as AC Águas de Piovanni, AC Marguaparrena. The other team to guarantee promotion, Thunchester United, was left without the title, but at least got a nice runners-up prize with a promotion to Sunrise League Four, at the expense of Canondale Bombers and International SC.

Supporters of Juliana Island haven't been so happy this season, with Cricíuma, Coritiba and the already mentioned Internacional, falling short of promotion, unlike Grêmio Porto-Alegrense and Atlético Catarinense, which we will talk about later. Alice City Madness and Nohara Grampus Eight, teams of not-so-strong communities have upsetted the opposition and made into the Top Ten, with an ill Bradford City and a very unhappy Wondergine Town finishing up the Top 10. The Wooden Spoon this season was well disputed with Santa Rita Rouge once again proving how they can't fix their squad and Calcio Pergamanatto liking to lend points to other teams, but in the end, Anapoli Frattese proved they were too much to win anything. The Ice Cones are lucky that this season don't have relegation.

Atlético Catarinense takes the title in last matchday, Hartford is upset, Dundee is pissed off
The fans of Atlético Catarinense will never forget the night of August 30, as the team had only to hope that both Hartford Whalers and Dundee FC failed to win their matches the same day, or at least tie against mid-tabler SV Xakoulagos DragonAsai at the Orlando Scarpelli Stadium at Nova Figueira, Juliana, while Hartford Whalers had to fail against SC Aggiesplit Phoenix inside the Hull Dome, where Hartford built up a succesful season, and Dundee FC had to also lose against SV Ceublue Anglicane 96 at their home stadium, the Pozniak Park. Given the positions of Anglicane and Phoenix, you'd expect that at least one of them would be able to win, but in a miraculous turn of events, Atlético, even with the loss against the team of Xakoulagos by 2-1, marveled as Dundee and Hartford tied by 2-2 against their opponents, enough to give Atlético their first Sunrisian League title.

Aside from Atlético and Hartford, who got promoted, two other teams say good-bye to the Fourth Division. Fighting every matchday but still not enough to survive, SV Chitchanox Xaysensourinthone and Shamar Sandslashers bow out of the league after being in the last two positions of the tournament. Good enough for Gateshead FC and Third Street United, who, even with their small size, have been able to continue at the SL4.

SUNRISE LEAGUE THREE
Sometimes, Money wins stuff. Jaunepont proves it.
Not much to say about how Jaunepont pretty much bought their way out of the SL3. Not by cheating, but by buying experienced players from the SL1 and the SL2, aside from their star, famous small-team player, Michael Leminski, who now left Red Bull Brighton City for the Islander Dollars of the richest team of the Third Division. Not only them came packing for this season, though. This season marked the debut of Tiamare Zekroni, once the weak team of Finnesseberg Football, now backed by Xistrumbigonça of Dainer, pointed straight away as favorites for promotion, with others like eventual promoted team Ross Hill Mustangs, Partick United and the strong football of SV Acute Marzipan also fighting for the top. Eventually, Jaunepont progressed, with Leminski being the top scorer with 45 goals.

Eventually, the curse of the Mist City Floatzels managed to hit Red Wood, as the old Floatzels squad managed to be relegated from the SL3. Together with them, went the unstellar Edimburgh Rangers.

A Revolution and a Tradition
Madjorie City upset the entire country with the title of the Second Division. No one expected that the team of Madjorie would actually go somewhere this season, but they surprised the world and with some less goals suffered, Madjorie City Revolution managed to take the title home from a surprised Grêmio Porto-Alegrense and a very angry Hayden City Lightning. In the end, the tie against a lack-luster Lorelei eeVees, gave the team the title.

Talking about other surprises, Dolaners Football pulled a suicide dive from nowhere, as it seems. The team somehow got relegated, maybe waiting for the season to "start". A "could-care-less" squad of Braddock Town completed the relegated spots. Unova Football and Steelport AC are still surprised that they somehow managed to escape from relegation, while a very confused Resistencia Timberwolves got surprised that they somehow were not relegated.

Purple Glory, Senators take the way
What do you say for the Athenians? Buying Ironhide was the greatest idea of the season, seeing as the Athenians would go on and take the title of the Sunrise League One with their new star. Not only did the Equestrian Dragon put the team on the top positions, Fabian Ekman from Polar Islandstates and Swigert Eron of Dainer, would put the team on the top of the board. With this, after years since being promoted to the top flight, the Athenians put their first Sunrise League One title at their trophy room.

The Senators played one of their best seasons as of late, even though they failed to win the title. Once again at the Champions' Cup road, the Sens would at least try, but couldn't really stop the Athenians team. La Fantás translates to "The Fantastic" in new Farf. The stadium can hold up to 100,000 people, way less than the I7'snerra, but the stadium is still better overall. The FFFF has been looking for a good way to open La Fantás to the public, and what would be better for a first match than the Champions' Cup final?

Globe Cup: La Gran Avenida (60,000 seats)
La Gran Avenida is home to two of Farfadillis' biggest teams: La Nueva Avenida and Avenida Victoria. It's no surprise that this is one of the best stadiums in Farfadillis, even though it can sometimes be unsafe. However, the latter shouldn't be a problem as the blood-thirsty Faroleran fanatics show up only during competitions in which national teams are included. The stadium is located in the middle of a forest, and there's quite the pleasant path all the way there, being able to admire probably one of the few forests in Farfadillis that has been left untouched... if you don't count the gargantuan stadium, of course. The path is very wide, enough to hold many people walking all the way to the stadium and with even some more space to spare. La Gran Avenida is also Puerto Farolero's (the States it is located in) most iconic place.

Series B Champions' Cup: Rôgô (1,000 seats)
The worst stadium in Farfadillis, located in Ruland, the most threatening Farf State by far. Statistically, you're getting shot in the head after twenty minutes there, so it can be considered unsafe. The stadium is very small, but it does have some good things. Firstly, it hasn't fallen to pieces yet (no guarantees that it won't in the near future). Secondly, there's considerably less drug dealers wandering around it than in other Rulandese areas. Thirdly, 1,000 seats is more than enough for the amount that will be alive by the time the referee indicates the beginning of the match... if he miraculously gets to. Overall, a very modern stadium if you're living in Ruland.
