Estenian destroys Jeckland

Image

Estenian Players Celebrating after the end of the game

After the massive win against New Wolfopolis and the very good win against Camerania, Estenia destroys Jeckland, a former opponent from the World Bowl which they had won all the games there too. In this game now, Estenia won 53-14 the weak team of Jeckland who came from a win against the weaker New Wolfopolis. Estenia was very good on the pitch, as they dominated from the first quarter. Estenia is keeping a very good form lately, as they play very well after the 3 month ending of the Canadian Football League which gave the players more energy than excpected. Anyway, let's see the other favourites. Saintland, is still unbeaten, this time, they won Miley World with 27-43, Kriegiersien still undefeated to its group this time by winning Murbley Mighty Chillers with 3-53 and Nassau-Hessen won Jachaelter with 46-30.
Runner-up at the 1st OMAHAN FUTSAL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS, 4th at Maple Leaf Bowl III, 4th on Baptism of Fire 57, 2nd at Runner Cup 4, 3rd at 21st World Lacrosse Championships.

Monarchs Shut Out Britonisea

Image

Londinium quarterback Stan Gelbaugh threw for over two hundred yards and three touchdowns.

(AP) Londinium, Cymrea - The Monarchs notched their second win last night with a 49-0 victory against Group C rivals Britonisea. The win puts Londinium firmly in second place in Group C heading into the second half of group play. Head coach Ron Lancaster called the Britonisea offence difficult to handle, citing uncommon good fortune in keeping their opponents off the board.

Londinium QB Stan Gelbaugh put in another stellar performance throwing 28 of 30 with no interceptions and three touchdowns. His favourite receiver on the night was Andre Riley who caught 16 passes for over a hundred yards. The Monarchs defence was also on their game with Gage Serran setting the example; the linebacker sacked the Britonisea pivot three times, putting his three game total at seven, and leading Group C - possibly the tournament.

A number of players traded jerseys at the end of the game, a tradition more common among rugby players, and a sportsman's gesture of respect.

The Monarchs head next to Murbley with their sights set on a second win in the home-and-home series against the Mighty Chillers.

*fun sports show intro with music n stuff*
"Hello, and welcome to the Gridiron Report on the Cameranian Sports Network, I'm Kara Lundgren. Today, we go again to Estope for our fourth game of the Maple Leaf Bowl, agains Jeckland. We faced them in our first game of the tournament, which resulted in a victory by us. Currently, they are in last in our group, which means that we should likely do well again, as we're doing quite well in our group, second only to the strong-as-steel team from Estenia. If we win this game, it will give us a wider berth for the unfortunately probable loss against Estenia tomorrow, especially if we get a lot of points. Overall, we've really just been surprised by how well our debut is going, because gridiron football of any kind is relatively unheard of in our nation. Perhaps we mat see a change in its popularity, and then again, it may just be like Water Polo after we medaled in our first Olympics, and stay the same. Time will tell, like with our games tonight and tomorrow. We'll bring you an update tomorrow, to get pumped to play Estenia. Until then, I'm Kara Lundgren. "

Estenian wins... again

Estenia wins again and maybe qualifies for the Quarter Finals. This time the victim was New Wolfopolis which was our favourite for that goup, we beat New Wolfopolis with the score of 17-44 in an exciting away match. Most fans in the stadium were Estenians and they were cheering. From 65.000 fans in the stadium, 45.000 were Estenians, a whole Estenian Flag was at the Estenian side. Estenians proved superior in that match and as Cameranian Sports Network said, we are strong-as-steel. I hope we can get the Maple Leaf Bowl as we do an excellent debut but also we need to stop Saintland's superiority on that tournament. Next Game is against Camerania, until then see you next time.

Monarchs Sweep Mighty Chillers

After four games in the Third Maple Leaf Bowl, the Londinium Monarchs are solidly in second place in Group C. Last night's win against Murbley clinched a berth in the second round; even if Londinium loses the next two and third-place Murbley wins the next two, Londinium gets the nod with the home-and-home series sweep.

The Monarchs currently have the third-ranked offence with 181 points scored, and fourth best defence with only 70 points allowed. Both of these stats top undefeated Nassau-Hessen, who lead Group D.

Coach Lancaster said after the game, "You can feel the excitement in the locker room - we're gaining momentum. The guys can see a clear shot at the title and they're pumped. We're playing better with each game, learning from our own mistakes and capitalising on those of our opponents. Someone's going to have to stop us or we're going to claim the Maple Leaf Bowl."

Thousands of the Monarchs' hardcore fans, the Royal Army, made the trip to cheer on their team. Their trademark bagpipes skirled in the seats and the Mexican Wave made dozens of circuits around the stadium.

The Monarchs play Kriegiersien next, and look to break even in their series. A win against the top team in Group C would be a tremendous boost to Londinium's record and momentum both.

*fun sports intro yeah*
"Good day, and welcome to the Gridiron Report on the Cameranian Sports Network, I'm Kara Lundgren. Last night, Camerania had a rousing victory over Jeckland, after some amazing plays, which really took the efforts of the entire team. The crowds last night in Estope at the game were insanely rowdy, thanks to the efforts of our team's administration handing out flags and t-shirts to anyone who wanted them, and I think even some Jeckland fans did. This campaign had helped to really build enthusiasm for our team, and everyone goes crazy for the blue and gold! Our win against Jeckland gave us a nice cushion to remain in second place, as we go into our game tonight against Estenia. It's really going to take all we can muster to even prevent Estenia from scoring large amounts of points, as they've been the group leader for this whole tournament, making themselves into an impenetrable wall. The focus tonight wiLloyd be to defend against them, but a win is always what we want most! We'll have to wait and see after tonight. I'll see you on the next Gridiron Report, I'm Kara Lundgren, thanks for watching. "

Monarchs Continue To Surge

Image

Jeff Alexander scores his third TD of the night.

(Reuters) Londinium, Cymrea - The Royal Army were jubilant in the streets after last night's victory over Kriegiersien. As expected, the Monarchs came out swinging, and held their opponents to just two majors in the first half. A third touchdown and touchback put Kriegiersien up 22-17 early in the third quarter, but five unanswered touchdowns and a field goal launched Londinium into the lead for good.

Linebacker Gage Serran tallied three more sacks, and cornerback Irvin Smith intercepted Bud Hill twice. On the offensive side, Gelbaugh rang up a hundred and twelve yards in passing while the two running backs, Jeff Alexander and Judd Garret put on a clinic with a combined three hundred and sixty rushing yards and six touchdowns.

Coach Lancaster was optimistic that the Monarchs could finish group play with a fifth win and carry their momentum into the quarterfinals. "It's just electric on the sidelines," he said. "This confidence just builds and carries us forward. Stan (Gelbaugh) is having a hell of a tournament and our offence is firing on all cylinders. Defensively, I only have good things to say. This team is a serious contender."

It's hard to argue with you, Ron. All Cymrea is watching - and we like what we're seeing!

*same fun sportsy intro again, people throwing footballs, all that jazz*
Good afternoon and welcome to the Gridiron Report on the Cameranian Sports Network, I'm Kara Lundgren. I sure hope you tuned into last night's game against Estenia, because it was a damn exciting one! The Stars were suffering early in the first quarter, giving Estenia an early lead that lasted until the middle of the third quarter, when our team surged, like an awoken beast, and managed to pull of an incredibly tense 1-point win! This is amazing news, as it leaves us, other than point differential, equally ranked in our group alongside Estenia. This win was the greatest thing that we could have asked for in this tournament, as it shows that we have similar resolve to Estenia, who before we're seen as unbeatabme. I think mow the whole group sees that we're just as capable, and our team couldn't have done it without being inspired by wonderful fans! We saw those flags waving in the stands last night, and we heard the cheers drowning out the Estenia fans! Great work to the fans and the team! Today we once again face New Wolfopolis, whom we handily defeated in our last meeting. This game is the last of the group stage, so here's hoping we can pull off something good! Until next time, I'm Kara Lundgren.

First Loss, we congratulate Camerania, a good opponent

Yes we lost our first game against Camrania but there's still one to go, next game is against Jeckland but let's talk about this non-surprisable score. Estenia lost with 34-35 in a match full of scoring and fun, both teams had fun and both teams gave hand after the end, Estenians knew that they had a very competitive opponent in front of them. After the last point Camerania scored, it was impossible for us to turn the score to our favour but we helped make the match have more flavour. Let's see the unbeaten Saintland, favourite for this tournament... again. Saintland won Quebec and I think they clinched a spot to the Quarter finals so did Nassau-Hessen, today we must win for to keep our first place and wish for New Wolfopolis to play harsh against Camerania. Even with a loss our team, has scored more points than any team with 244 and with difference from Second most offnsive team, of Londinium Monarchs who socre 229 points.

Monarchs Finish Strong And Atop Group C

(Reuters) Londinium, Cymrea - Ron Lancaster has been saying for the past week and a half that the Monarchs are serious contenders. His words proved true last night as Londinium not only won their final game in group play, sweeping Britonisea, they finished at the top of the standings in Group C. With a highly productive offence ranked 2nd in the tournament, and a stifling defence also ranked 2nd (both behind Estenia), the Monarchs look to be nigh unstoppable heading into their quarterfinal game against a solid Camerania team. Looking ahead, Coach Lancaster has been studying films on the Stars' games while also granting the Monarchs players a well deserved day of rest with practice resuming tomorrow.

Cameranian fans are among the most supportive in the tournament and it promises to be a deafening atmosphere at Freeport Field when the Royal Army clash with them vocally in the stands. Said one fan, "We heard of the last minute change to the schedule, and that we'd be playing Camerania." His mates cheered boisterously at his words. "It's going to be a bloody brilliant game!"

Canadian football fans all across Cymrea seem to agree, and have been viewing the games in record numbers. CBC Sports reports over 17 million Cymreans watched the Monarchs beat Britonisea for the second time. Even more are expected to tune in for the quarterfinals.

The Monarchs themselves are peaking at just the right time. Heading into the playoffs, quarterback Stan Gelbaugh has been putting on a passing clinic, while Jeff Alexander is scoring almost at will when Londinium are in the Red Zone. With their potent Spread Offence - characterised by the no-huddle Inside and Outside Zone Read - the Monarchs have made physical conditioning a primary factor in the game. It's Londinium's impressive endurance that just wears out opponents' defences. Also of note, the Monarchs' time of possession is remarkably low, given how many yards are produced and touchdowns scored. This is a direct result of their lightning-fast and absolutely relentless style of play - the Monarchs score quickly and often. Their methodical defence keeps opponents' offences stalling. With these strategies combined, Londinium is a formidable foe.

The Royal Army and Cymreans everywhere will be cheering our boys on. Go Monarchs!

Estenia to the Quarter Finals

Estenia qualified to the quarter finals after a 1st place finish on Group B. Their victim was Jeckland where they won with 6-42 and they continue to the quarter finals. But firstly let's check the results of Estenia. They started by winning New Wolfopolis with 75-7, which immediately gave them the first palce of the group, second game and win was against Camerania with 19-38, it was a tough match. 3rd matchday and win was against Jeckland with 53-14, 4 game was against New Wolfopolis which we won with 17-44 next game and the only loss of the tournament was against Camerania with 34-35 and las game was against Jeckland which we won with 6-42 and a Qualification to the Quarter Finals. Now let's see our opponen't results. Kriegiersien started with a win against Britonesia against 48-14, continued with a win against Londinium Monarchs with 33-30 and COntinued with a massive 3-53 win against Murbley Mighty Chillers, 4th match day was against Britonesia which they easily won with 7-53, 5th Mtachday had a surprise for them because they lost to Londinium Monarchs or Cyllea with 48-22 and fell to the 2nd place of the group. Last game was against Murbley Mighty Chillers which they won with 52-4. Please also note that Kriegiersien is the 2nd best team of the tournament after the surprising absence of Texacano.
Runner-up at the 1st OMAHAN FUTSAL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS, 4th at Maple Leaf Bowl III, 4th on Baptism of Fire 57, 2nd at Runner Cup 4, 3rd at 21st World Lacrosse Championships.

*Super fun sports intro yay*
Good day, and welcome to a very special Gridiron Report on the Cameranian Sports Network, I'm Kara Lundgren. Our Stars have made it to the Quarter Finals of their first Maple Leaf Bowl!!! This is so amazing, and something we could never have anticipated when going into this. Honestly, it had seemed that this would simply be an opportunity to become more active in the world and say "Hey, we're here" to the other nations of the world, and to just get ourselves ranked and in the fold, but now we've had real success! Our team has said time and again that they're always inspired to play as hard as they can, when they hear all of the loyal Cameranians in the stands, and see our colours waving proudly in the stands. Now, we face the Londinium Monarchs, of Cymrea, a very good team from a very good nation. Folks, I think as fans you're going to get a run for your money, because Cymrean fans are almost as supportive as you have been, but they can't compare to Cameranians who are united to support anything! In an effort to show support even better, and to make sure that we can drown out the Cymrean cheers to try to bring our Stars to victory, the team has unveiled an awesome promotion, much like in the game against Estenia, but this time, in addition to flags--which are mostly small flags, but about one in every fifty fans gets a large flag with a small pole to wave proudly-- we'll be handing out t-shirts and foam fingers, so be sure to get there and be ready to be rowdy!

Now, Cymrea's team, the Monarchs, are a damn good team. Frankly, they're statistically better than us, they've got the second-best offense and defense, after Estenia. But you know what? We beat Estenia when it came down to it! If we can beat the number one, we can beat the number two, especially if our amazing fans are as rowdy as they were against Estenia, then the Cymreans and all of the other nations in this tournament will see that we're a super strong force to be reckoned with! This means that our Stars will have to fight the hardest they've ever fought in a game, but we all should realize that even if we aren't successful, that doesn't mean we shouldn't be appreciative of all our team has done in their debut run. We'll have to wait and see if they can pull it off, until next time, I'm Kara Lundgren, and LET'S GO STARS!!!!
- Looking to become more active again, feel free to hit me up with invites to general world RP regions-

- Telegram me with NS Sports RP stuff if for collab questions and what have you-

Estenia goes to the Semi-Finals

It's just unbelievable, Estenia in it's first ever Maple Leaf Bowl, goes to the semi-finals. The victim this time was Krigiersien, a favourite for the tournament but like the previous time, they disqualified to the Quarter-Finals. Estenia won Krigiersien with 57-26 and it was an amazing match full of intresting points. The few Estenians that came to Estope, were cheering for their team louder than anyone. Estenians found every way they could find and Estenians scored 57 points which is pretty good. Next game is against Miley World. Let's see Miley World's result. They won Nassau-Hessen with 35-41 which is increadibly surprising as Nassau-Hessen finished first on their group beatless and a team who's got 3 wins and 3 lossses comes and stops their way. Let's see the other 2 results, Saintland remains unbeatena and wins Estope with 48-24 and Londinium Monarchs won Camerania with 35-5.

Monarchs Are Through To the Semifinals!

Image

Maple Bowl III - Londinium Monarchs

(Reuters) Londinium, Cymrea - Jubilation is the word in the Cymrean sports world this morning, after last night's win over the Cameranian Stars. Every victory has been an historic one for the Monarchs, playing in their first Maple Leaf Bowl tournament. This one marks the first playoff win for Londinium who are now just two wins from hoisting the Bowl as champions.

Coach Lancaster has nothing but praise for the Cameranians. "They played a heck of a game out there. Even when we got up a couple of scores on them, they never gave up, never let us get any easy yards. We had to work for this one, but it's another clear demonstration of just how potent the Spread Offence can be."

The fans in the stands had a friendly match of their own, with the results too close to call. Much like their team, the Stars fans never lost hope or let up. The stadium was absolutely rocking, with decibel levels rivalling any concert - or jet aircraft!

Next up is Saintland, and this could be the Monarchs' toughest game yet, arguably even tougher than a match-up with Estenia or Miley World. But the Monarchs themselves seem pretty confident. "Oh, yeah, man...we can almost taste that Maple, baby," said seemingly unstoppable running back Jeff Alexander. "We're gonna keep pounding and rolling and running that other team down. Saintland is a great team with some great players, but their game against Estope showed they can be scored on, and they can be beat. And that's just what we're gonna try and do."

This has been a groundbreaking run for Londinium and so many Cymreans are caught up in Monarch Fever. Nearly 28 million tuned in last night, and CBC Sports projects that as many as 35 million will watch the semifinals. Whatever the outcome, the Monarchs have already won many fans at home, and have verbally committed to a Maple Bowl IV should there be one.

Go Monarchs!
