IC: Taeshan
Taeshan is perhaps the coldest nation in all of the world (don’t let the Polar Islandstates confuse you), that said football is feverously played all around the islands. At its high point the national team, the Purple Knights, was ranked 9th in the world and a staple for a few world cups. The national team has since had a dwindling hold on its team abilities and as such has fallen from grace. The league in Taeshan is also quite renowned around the world, perhaps more for its mediocrity than it’s ability to play. That said the nation is home to one thing that many others can not claim to having had, its stadiums. The Taeshani nation has most of the biggest stadiums in the world, including the gigantic field in Atlantea, the Coliseum, host of both previous Taeshani hosted tournament finals. The most famous cities of Taeshan include: Atlantea, Docktown, Mt Ceabring, Laketown, New Capetown, and Bayern. There is also a newer part of Taeshan known for its more tropical climate, the southern portion and only mainland part of Taeshan which will also host a match or two. Also of note is the nation’s storied history on other fronts, including being a World Baseball Classic, World Bowl, and World Lacrosse Champions, as well as a former Cup of Harmony winner. Also the country has been highly active and ranked in various sports such as Hockey, Handball, Rugby and Basketball over the decades, they also have had a big footprint on the Olympics winning various medals over the years.

IC: Eastfield Lodge
The Imperial Commonwealth of Eastfield Lodge is a sizeable empire located in a completely different universe to the rest of the WC field (ignoring the Dreamed Realm, that is). Having said that, a small island in the north of Rushmore houses a portal that provides a means of getting to and from the country (that entire island is one great big transport hub). As for the place itself, it is regarded as the safest and the most beautiful in Rushmore, along with having the best weather and the nicest, most compassionate and happiest citizens in Rushmore (according to the WA Census rankings; check the nation page for a full list of the rankings).
However, things have become a bit turbulent in recent times, after travel through the portal has become extremely dangerous and thus restricted due to events in Ossidiacqua. Don't worry, as the teams would still be able to bring along a good few supporters, even if the trip will be a bit bumpy.
In terms of sporting pedigree, the Eastfield Lodge team has, admittedly, had very little success, only qualifying once for the World Cup finals (back in World Cup 55) since the team’s debut in World Cup 49, and indeed many pundits across the world have begun using this team as a yardstick to judge qualifying mediocrity, with the team hoping to break a 12-Cup qualifying blank this time around. The best WCC performance by the team was a 4th place finish at CoH 58. Outside of normal football, Eastfield Lodge has plenty of experience in beach football, including a runners-up performance at Beach Cup 7.

Host XP: Taeshan
Taeshan has hosted one World Cup Committee, the 55th Cup of Harmony, and one regional tournament, the 14th Copa Rushmori. He also has an extensive history in running his own nation’s league (the TSL) and his various puppet’s leagues for the better part of the last 5 years. Taeshan has been an active participant in Nationstates for all but a few months in the last 7 years.

Host XP: Eastfield Lodge
A long-time participating NSSports member, Eastfield Lodge hosted the 4th Market Cup, their own ICSC, the 2nd Seniors Cup with Toiletdonia, and emergency hosted Beach Cup 7 after Mangolana CTE'd.

Structure:
32-48 teams, 8 groups of x, top 2 advance - straight knockout.
In most cases this will consist of a ranked knockout with the top team from each group getting a top 8 seed, and the 2nd team getting one of the lower 8 seeds. However for higher tournament numbers (44-48) there is a possibility of a 3rd team making it out of the group, and creating a play in game before the round of sixteen between the worst second place points finishers playing the top third place finishers. (eg. 48 teams being 8 groups of 6, group winners advance with four best 2nd place finishers also getting a bye through to the round of sixteen, and the play-in between the remaining 2nd placers and the four best 3rd placers.) Note, the play-in can be changed as necessary and will be determined once we have decided on format, and had teams officially sign up for the tournament by way of posting their signup and roster in a singular post..

Scorination:
NSFS 3.0.1a (the one with variable style mod and max skill)
The scorinator was chosen because both host bid members felt that using NSFS was not only the best for us, due to being the ones we know the best and use the most, but also the best for any possible competitors so they also get the most possible out of the tournament.
As for the hosts; if Taeshan or Antoletia fails to qualify, or if Eastfield Lodge fails to qualify and one, or both, of them meets the merits to qualify for the Cup of Harmony they will be handled by the other host during the group stages and knockout rounds. (If both Taeshan and Antoletia do not qualify than one of them will be held back and only used as a last resort to make up numbers.)

Tiebreakers:
Points, H2H, GD, GA
If two teams are still tied then a Playoff will be scorinated on same day (can be regarded as Flip of coin)
3 way - H2H, H2H GD, GD, GA,

Bonuses:
We will be looking to award a decent sized bonus for RPs, one that is cumulative and non-degrading. A single, one-time roster bonus will be given for any sort of roster post, on a slightly different sliding scale than that of a regular RP. As always the hosting team will look, like those before them, to give the best quality RPs the best scores, quantity is great, but quality is far better.

Entry requirements:
They obviously will not be fully revealed. However, a roster will be required. Teams worthy of entry will be determined by both the number and quality of RPs. Exceptional circumstances will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Also note, it is likely that a number of puppets may be involved or could be involved. For the most part a unique user will get a team into the tournament before a single user gets a second team. Also puppets of master nations in the world cup will be treated as if they are not a puppet and given equal chance to make the team as a unique user, as they are basically a unique user for this tournament’s purposes.

The main thing you haven't covered at all is why you think the WCC should vote for you. What are the motivations behind bidding? Why the choice of bid partner (question for both)?

The motivation for me personally for bidding was it has been quite a bit since the last time i hosted a competition. Want to keep my hosting chops around. Also i figured with this coinciding with the end of the school year i felt it necessary to keep my mind of stuff and have a project for the time period. Also as for hosting with Eastfield Lodge i put out a post in the discussion thread remarking on my intention to make a host bid, and EL was one of the first to respond. I have always admired El's writing and characters as having recently become a fan of the Doctor Who stuff. What El writes is always interesting. There was a sort of convergence of ability, and time to host that coincided with the WC qualifiers coming to an end and with us both available and willing it seemed like a great idea to get together on this.

For me, with uni looming over in September, I figured these few months were my last chance to be really active on the forums, and NS Sports in particular, and I decided to be a bit more active and to host a lot more competitions. As for why I'm bidding with Tae, he's a good guy and, simply, he the opportunity was there and I decided to take it.

Why do you think you are more deserving of hosting this competition then the other bidders? Primarily directed to you, as you don't really RP all that much.

Well to be honest i believe both host bids are about even. The oppositions bid has one bidder with a official wcc event and a regional event job done, as do i, and the other bidder on both has much less experience.

I think the biggest advantage to our bid is we've been around the block a few more times. I.e ive been around since 2007, Eastfield Lodge has been around a year or so less than that and our opposition is a bit less experienced than that. Sure everyone has to start somewhere, but i feel we have a tad more experience and that might got a long way in getting everything done right.

Would failing to capitalise your "I"s be indicative of your greater RPing experience?

Of all the trivial things to ask about.

Perhaps i chose not the capitalize the i because i find it aesthetically pleasing. I don't live my life based on the idea that i should be capitalized. I don't know man, i just didn't capitalize it.

Your not caring enough to bother is my entire concern.
