Not impressed despite semi-final place

With expectations so high in the nation for the first IOUFF Nations Cup, the performance of the Rabbits left a lot to be desired.
The most prominent players of Aix never seem to reach their level we come to expect from them, Romain Faré, Yves Azilda, Lucas Hiver they haven't even touched their level as they have before in international matches and in the local Aix Competition.
Losing without a chance against New Narsia a very good team, was a shock for the whole nation.
No one expected the hard fought 1-0 win against Cormorantic, it took a lot of energy to break their defense, they where much better than anticipated, they had good friendly matches in preparation, the 2 - 0 win against Sepe stood out.
Luckily the last match was played against Cherqstan, the top players used it to find their form back, hopefully it will be enough to beat the favorites Krbustan.

Image Lucas Hiver responded after qualifying for the semi final "The Competition is extremely tough, I mean nations like Sepe are going home, we our-selves made it out of the group phase by a whisker, the Cormorantic game was proof of that, New Narsia is a well oiled machine of superstars, however, don't rule us out for the Final yet, Krbustan may be the favorites, but Javi is now touching his best form, Yves and myself too, we want to hold up the IOUFF Nations Cup !"

We don't dare to predict the final, we will have to wait and see...

Go Aix Les Filles !

Doping rumors !!!

Image

After the CFF President's complaint, The rumor annoyed all the teams participating in the tournament, The responses of some important personalities on the island were sent to the President of IOUFF, and the Sultan of Cherqstan sent message as well. His Majesty said:
We are in Cherqstan sorry for what happened from president of CFF, We apologize to all the people of the island, Those responsible for this mess will be punished, And we accept any penalties imposed on us, Best of luck to the rest of the teams in the finals.

While the message of His Majesty King Naseem Hussain, King of Aix les Filles:
The FFALF have asked me to write to you, on behave of the FFALF, we are saddened by the GFF's doping accusations, they have tarnished the pristine reputation of the IOUFF, the reputations of the nations and the Football sport in general. I propose a deep objective investigation, if no proof is found we believe disciplinary action is needed.
Cherqstan should be ashamed.

Rebecca Hamm, President of Sepe Football Association say:
The Sepe National Football Association (SFA) is saddened by the accusations of doping hinted at by Cherqstan Association.
We were shocked and surprised by our 10-0 drubbing of the Grbustan Team. But we put this down to our strong work ethic and proper presentation.
Fair play, if a little slow, is what SFA is about. We trust that a full investigation will clear SFA.

Aaron Stahl, New Narsian Minister of Sport say:
The complaint of the use of doping has shocked me and the rest of the nation. New Narsia’s integrity and generosity is something we keep as a value.
I personally have done an investigation for doping among the NNFF, as President Alex Zhang has advised me to do, and I have found no signs, but I understand the need for the IOUFF to do its own investigation.
I am proud of what the squad has been able to achieve so far in the Cup of Nations, and the past several days have been some I am sure I will treasure, but I am appalled by the manipulation of the beautiful game that has taken place, doping or not.
I hope you and your federation can get to the bottom of this, and that we can move on as a region.

Nesla Veihsa, President of the Romanlandean Football Federation say:
Accusations of of doping use by our athletes from the Cherqstan Football Federation are inherently untrue and are lacking substantial evidence. This is further confirmed by a recent drug test conducted by the independent side from the Island Of Union Football Federation. The test had not shown any traces of drugs banned for use in sport by the IOUFF Comitee in Romanlandean National Football Team player's blood samples. Therefore, the Romanlandean side repeals the accusations of illegal drug use.

Damdin Anda, President of the Cormorantic Football Council say:
Sir, we of the CFC are appalled by the accusations of doping made by your Federation, you must not lose sight that there is a big difference between a Friendly and an official match, I know I speak for the whole of Cormorantic that see your claim as nothing more than un-sportmanship, we didn't make it out of the groups, but we are convinced that no teams have cheated. Respectfully the CFC.

The official response to the IOUFF came from Mr. Saleh Selim, the President of IOUFF:
The investigation will be completed, and disciplinary measures will be taken against those who erred, We in IOUFF do not accept any false accusations, threats, or any acts against the spirit of sports, For this IOUFF decided, We will do Random doping analysis, CFF and GFF will be fined, for threatening to withdraw.
Don't worry our people.

First IOUFF CoC for Vitsiland teams

Postby Vitsiland » Tue Sep 14, 2021 12:55 pm

Image
When the news came that the two best teams of vitsiland would compete in the IOUFF Cup of Champions the whole island was happily surprised, we of the news didn’t report on anything else for days, the clubs however got serious fairly soon, they realised that a lot of work needed to be done to be ready for the tournament, unlike most teams the players of AFC Geminy and FC Notté are semi professionals, they have a parttime job, fulltime jobs in some cases, so instead of training twice a week they started training five times a week, we hope it will be enough.

Experienced Manager

Image

The fans and the Players and staff, who participated in the IOUFF Cup of Champions before will most definitely remember the Manager of AFC Geminy, Gerard Cottilion, he won the Golden Booth in the first ever IOUFF Cup of Champions, scoring eight goals for his team, Salon Olympique (Aix Les Filles), now I’m sure he desires to win the best Manager award.

“I know everyone is very excited and I am too, still I feel the need to temper expectations, we trained hard and we believe we have a good team, still we should realise that all the teams of the CoC are world class, FC Roman, Western Port, Sepe region they are all great teams so we will do our very best, and maybe just maybe we can cause an upset.”

Sepe Region and Golden Wattle Bay are once again on the search for glory as they prepare for the IOUFF Cup of Champions.

The Sepe teams were a surprise late entry to the years tournament, with a rushed application catching many by surprise.

Sepe Region, the surprise winners of Season 3's Cup of Champions are back to defend their title.

The Sepe teams have benefitted from the return of the regular football season.   The  COVID-19 pandemic, saw a pause to all organised sports across Sepe in 2020.

The football league has recently completed its 2021 season and Sepe finished 4th and Golden Wattle Bay 5th in the Beepeean National League, and hence qualify as the two highest placing Sepe teams.

Sepe Region have been drawn in Group 2 against such varied competition as Torpedo Lones (Romanlande), NKQ Mintakaville (Ardelark) and AFC Geminy (Vitsiland).  It's sure to be tough draw for The Regionals: although they look please to have avoided the fate of Golden Wattle Bay.

The Bay have been drawn in Group 4 alongside FC Roman (Romanlande), Lokomotiv Parisè (Volinovia) and Al Ain SC (Cherqstan).   Local fans bemoaned the draw staring they hope the club does not embarrass itself in the light of such strong opposition.  Interestingly, Golden Wattle Bay were drawn in the same group as Al Ain last year, and stunned the much stronger Cherqs by winning 6-0, in what was described as a shock and surprise result.  Its unlikely that such a result will occur this year.

FC Notté qualified for the quarter final in style.

No one expected Notté to qualify, the group seemed to tough at first glance; Western Port SC, winners of the Rollies Cup, Elsa Sportif the strong team from Aix Les Filles and Kasgard from Ardelark, all great teams, FC Notté managed to come in first, winning 0 - 5 against Elsa Sportif, the team from the island of Vitsiland managed to silence 50k fans in the Stade Princesse Nora, who realized that this would not be their year as it was impossible to qualify after the defeat, the people of Aix didn't lack sportsmanship as they applauded the winning team.

............................................................................................................................

AFC Geminy are out of the Cup.

AFC Geminy failed to qualify , they came fourth in group two, Sepe Region and NKQ Mintakaville qualified from that group as Torpedo Lones the strong team from Romanlande suffered the same faith as Geminy, coming 3th in Group 2.

the Manager of AFC Geminy, Gerard Cottilion agreed to a short interview.

Your team failed to qualify for the IOUFF Cup of Champions, what's next ?
It's sad we where not able to play our best football, but we still have a lot of irons in the fire, we are first in the national competition, we are still in the national Vitsi Cup, we will analyse our failure and learn from it, today starts the preparation for the next IOUFF Cup of Champions.

Fc Notté qualified for the quarter finals, how do you feel about that ?
I'm very pleased that a team from Vitsiland made it out of the Group phase, I will be rooting for them and Salon Olympique of course.

Who do you think will win the tournament ?
Hmm I think FC Roman.

My money is on Lokomotiv Parisè, thank you for this interview.

Alfians at home and in the stadium went wild, the people where not very confident when it became obvious who the quarter final opponent was, Sepe Region is a good team, the title holder of the biggest Regional competition, the IOUFF Cup of Champions !
It was a nail biting match much like the first one, neither team wanted to give the other team an inch.
When the whistle was blown, the festivities started, fire works, cheering on the pitch and a party atmosphere in the stands.

The football wives of the Regionals received flowers as so ordered by the King, win or lose that was already planned.
Salon is through on Penalties.

Image"We played one of our best games of late and that gives us a lot of confidence for the next game, we had luck on our side against Sepe Region, the Regionals are a massive team, they deserve a lot of respect, you know it is going to be tough when you play Sepe Region, now let's hope we can take this further, I know I speak for the team that we will give it all we have, IT'S COMING HOME !!!"

Salon Olympique through to the final !!

Image
Captain Mohammed Hwash agreed to a short interview:

'First of all congratulations, reaching the finals of the IOUFF Cup of Champions, that is no small feat,
Captain Mohammed Hwash, did you think Salon could reach the final at the start of the IOUFF Cup of Champions ?'

- We aimed to reach the final at the start of the IOUFF Cup of Champions, but there are several teams of equal strength to ours, however we succeeded in reaching the final in the team's second participation.

'How was your transition into Salon Olympique SC from Sun SC , life in Aix les Filles must be quite different.
- My transfer was done as an exchange for player Yves Azilda, where the club officials saw me in the IOUFF Cup of Nations and asked me to join the team, Life is definitely different, but the people's character here is similar to the character of the people of Krbustan, that compensates partly for my absence from home.

Thank you for your time, best of luck in the final !
Thank you !
