Welcome

The Provincial Coalition of Vettrera is a large nation located in the Northeastern area of Bethel Park & owning protectorates/territory in Atlantian Oceania . The nation has a rich sporting history, but has not been very successful when it comes to association football. Years ago, the nation made a concerted effort to invest in its sporting programs in an attempt to bring prestige, revenue, and tourism to Vettrera. This program, called PUSH, brought Vettrera closer to the forefront of international sporting. The program was discontinued for several years, but has now returned in full force.

Vettrera hosted the 2nd edition of the U15WC, crowing the Inevitable Syndicate as the champions. The competition was centered in Western Vettrera: A liberal, rowdy, and exciting area of Vettrera. The area was known for harboring Vettrera's sin city, as well as its major attractions (amusement parks/beaches) and a diverse populace. Vettrera's melting pot: an area of amazement. The coastal area and humid climate was perfect for the kids participating in the games, and gave them the opportunity to really experience what Vettrera had to offer. And this was exactly what PUSH wanted, to provide the kids with a cool experience amid a competitive atmosphere. Vettrera's own citizens came out to support the children of these other nations, showing that there was an audience for them.

While we want to continue to give the kids that same experience, we want to go showcase a different part of Vettrera this time. This time, we're heading East! The tournament will be held in the Eastern Provinces of Bellmont, Braylon, Huddleston, and Khione. Eastern Vettrera is characterized as more traditional/cultured than its Western Counterpart, observing history and tradition often (though the areas are just as modern as the west, and the metropolitan areas are still symbols of world change). Large castles and landmarks from the olden days still stand strong in Vettrera, and cultural centers (museums, zoos, parks) populate the area.

Thank you for putting faith in us for this, the largest rendition of the U15 World Cup tournament...and good luck!

All teams playing in the same province are 30 minutes or less away from each other, and 45 minutes or less away from their hotels.

As Vettrera's bid entailed, we are offering housing for this tournament for those that would accept it. It is not required that you stay in the lodging that we have provided, it is simply a gesture on our part. Certain groups will get to reside in luxury resorts, while others will get the thrill of staying in castles filled with history and regality. (OOC: RPs about the Eastern Winds Fair or the Hotels will receive an added RP Bonus. Please consult my original bid for further details.)
The VSA has arranged for all competitors to be housed here if they so desire:

Stadiums
Image
The Prism I (40,000 Capacity)
The Prism I is the stadium used by Bellmont University. The school is in their capital, Cartridge. For the Eastern Winds Fair, there will be various carnivals coming into the area, and the Bellmont Comprehensive Museum will be allowing free entry

Image
The Prism II (40,000 Capacity)
The Prism II is the stadium used by Cartridge University, located only 30 minutes away from Bellmont University. The stadium is essentially a replica of the aforementioned. For the Eastern Winds Fair, there will be various carnivals coming into the area, and the Bellmont Comprehensive Museum will be allowing free entry

Image
UNLV Recognition Stadium (45,000 Capacity)
UNLV RS (named for the 4 last initials of the major benefactors) is the stadium for Khione University's association football team. The stadium was built 8 years ago. The college, is located in Suread, and is only 15 minutes away from the other Khionian stadium that will be used for this tournament. Suread will be setting up public cirques as a result of the Eastern Winds fair.

Image
The Bamboo Center (39,000 Capacity)
The Bamboo Center was created 5 years ago as Khione A&T changed its mascot from the Fighting Lions, to the Gorillas. The stadium is located in Suread, the capital of Khione. There will be cirques being set up around the area as a result of the Eastern Winds Fair. Check them out!

Image
The Dreamscape (50,000 Capacity)
This stadium is home to Granton College. It was built just 2 years ago, making it one of the newest collegiate soccer stadiums. Granton's nearby aquarium will be giving out free-entry as a part of the Eastern Winds fair, and they will be unveiling their new dolphin exhibit.

Image
The Mirage (55,000 Capacity)
The Mirage is the only stadium in use that will not be supporting a college team. The Mirage is where most of Vettrera's expedition matches are played, and where the championships have generally been held for the Oakbrook and Calvarie soccer league. The event will take place just outside of Granton (the province's capital)

Image
Ridgeway stadium (40,000 Capacity)
Group G will be playing in Ridgeway Stadium. The Stadium lends itself to host the association football team for Ridgeway University. There will be parades taking place near the area on the 2nd and 3rd matchdays as a result of the Eastern Winds Fair, and there is a nearby zoo.

Image
B.B Richards Stadium (30,000 Capacity)
B.B Richards Stadium is the new home-field for the Braylon University Battlers, and their award winning association football team. It is the newest stadium to be used for this tournament, being built just 8 months prior to the U15WC7. There will be parades taking place in the area on the 2nd and 3rd matchdays, as part of the Eastern Winds Fair. There is also a nearby zoo.

Image
95,000 Capacity || Located in Braylon
The Epicenter will be the stage for the Semifinal and Final matches in Vettrera. Vettrera has guaranteed at least 80% capacity for the games, to give the youngsters a chance to experience how it is to compete on the World Stage

Notes: The names of the players are really their government ID sequences. Their titles are all "Youth" because they are all under 18 (and under 15 for that matter, though that is irrelevant to the matter at hand.)

This is an all new roster this year, as even though the previous U-15 World Cup was only a few months ago and most players would not be over 15, the entire team was arrested and later executed along with their families for having a party where they reportedly drank beverages that weren't prune juice rations, such as soda and lemonade. According to a spokesperson, there was no alcohol at the party, so local law was not violated in the host country. However, this was still against Gregoryisgodistan law. In fact, it is punishable by death in Gregoryigodistan to the drinker and his family, so the entire previous team was executed along with their families. About 80 people were executed in all. The Sports Ministry hired schoolteachers to coach the new players in the hopes that they will be better behaved. Their practices have proceeded without incident.

The head of PR had this to say:
The entry to this competition sparks a new wave of sport in Taslantis. No longer shall we just be content with our clubs. We shall take on the world stage. This is all

Michael Duck, the team's manager (and Coach of the Senior side) had this to say:
Our Under 15s are the future. As our only announced side so far, although there are rumours of prominent players in the Senior side which will not be announced until needed, these shall show the strength of our fair nation. Being placed in Group G, with nations like Farfadillis will be a test. However, playing in the Ridgeway stadium and a chance to stay at the Dawson Palace will be a nice boost to us, a contemporary place to play and a historical place to stay (although we'd stay somewhere else if we could afford) will boost our morale. We shall enjoy this, and the nation of Vettrera.

IC: Important Info

Fans. Football hooliganism is a real problem in SJG. With riots recently reported in the matches against Paradystopia, the SJGNFA is trying to find a way to protect guest fans. Also, fans will treat the fans of the following nations heatedly, some for having a rivalry like SJG VS New Lonopolian Empire, Gregisgodistan and New Wolfopolis. However Security topic is seriuously for the safety of visiting fans.

Weather: SJG has in some places of his territory a tropical climate, like Vladivostok-Alianza or San Salvador, but a freezing climate under 0, prevails in Piedra Labrada and El Roblar.

Introduction

The Aliancista Federation of San José Guayabal commonly called Guayabal or SJG, is a Federation in Esportiva. It's bordered on the north by Estope and Wednesday Evening. SJG covers 56,312,121 square kilometers and has has an estimated population of 800.000,000. SJG comprises of 13 Regions/Krai (Plural: Kraya), 2 Autonomous Republics and 1 Federal Oblast

Etymology
The origin of the name cames from the spanish "Campo de guayabas" (Guavas County) (Vulgar: Guayabal) by the abundance of guavas, in 1770 was imposed as the patron of the town Saint Joseph (San José; In spanish) by this reason the name is San José Guayabal (Eng. Saint Joseph Guavas)

History
The village emerged in the mid-eighteenth century, and was known as Guayabal by the abundance of guava. In 1770, according to Pedro Cortés y Larraz (Spanish colonizer), had a population of 593 people "without being subject to any authority."

Indeed, the mayor Mayor Jose Ortiz de la Peña actual surveyor commissioned Don Francisco Jose Vallejo to chart a plan of the new town, which was founded on November 13, 1786 as a people's Guayabal. For 1807 had a population of 1,150 inhabitants.

Under the rule of El Salvador

He was part of the department of San Salvador from 1824-1835, the year he spent in the district of Suchitoto Cuscatlan. For 1859 it had a population of 2,302 inhabitants, which by 1890 had risen to 5,830,000. He received the title of town in 1875, and the city in 2006.

Independence of SJG:

The March 29, 2013, in protest of its 400 million people by the mistreatment of El Salvador, it was decided to wean and the same day, El Salvador accepted independence.

Through time, international litigation, could colonize El Salvador and then arrive to the continent of andarica in Esportiva

Population
According to the latest census (August 2013) was calculated in Guayabal a population of 800 million people, of which are classified into only five ethnic groups, which are:

-Guayabalenses/Guayabalians: 31%
-Salvadorans: 20%
-British: 19%
-Russians: 17%
-Eskimos: 13%

Of which are of different religions:

-Evangelical Christian: 96%
-Catholics: 2%
-Protestants: 2%

Language
The national languages of under Article 8 of the Constitution of the Federation of San Jose Guayabal, adopted in The Honorable People's Parliament are: English, Spanish Guayabalense, Russian, and Eskimo (Most used are: English, Spanish and Guayabalian), encouraging the use of language Guayabalian in:

- All daily activities as the language of communication between citizens of the Federation.

-support their teaching in public schools, private schools and universities in the San Jose Guayabal Federation.

But the SJG citizens talk the following languages:

-Spanish: 30%
-Guayabalian: 30%
-English: 15%
-Eskimo: 13%
-Russian: 12%

But 95% of the population has at least advanced knowledge of five languages, making society a society Guayabalense polyglot, highly acculturated and interesting to interact.

Nation Background

Mizuyuki (Mikazukian: 瑞雪 , Tinchalian: 瑞雪, Mizuyuki; formally 瑞雪国 Mizuyuki-koku, Ruixueguo, alternatively the Auroral Technocratic Union of Mizuyuki) is an amalgamation of twenty separate local regional governments into one discrete entity, commonly referred to as simply The Technocracy of Mizuyuki. Part of the region of Aurora along with regional neighbours Norvenia, Aurinsula and Skorzenia, Mizuyuki is regarded one of a select group of nations with the highest level of human development in the known world, scoring 0.902 on the Human Development Index (HDI) in 2013. The nation also plays host to several multinational corporations with a global presence, most notably the government run Sakura Japanese Cuisine, Paladin Cinemas of New Edom and Arcadia Initiative.

Stretching over 375,000 km2 in total land area, Mizuyuki is among the smaller nations in the Aurora region. However, it ranks among the most densely populated nations in the region, with an average population density of 438 people per square kilometre. Mizuyuki practises a form of government that is essentially a democratic technocracy combined with a unitary bicameral parliamentary system operating under a constitutional monarchy - a unique governmental system that has allowed the country to flourish and prosper years after its inception.

Even though Mizuyuki is officially recognised as a distinct sovereign entity, it is practically similar to a form of regional coalition among the twenty prefectures(県), which are further subdivided into seventy two districts(郡). As such, the prefectures are usually given a high degree of autonomy in performing their administrative functions; the federal government will only interfere in the prefectural administration if the need arises. Mizuyuki is currently under the de jure reign of Her Imperial Majesty Shirakawa Kirino, while the incumbent Premier, Nikaido Mikoto, acts as the official advisor to the Empress as well as functioning as the head of government.

Team Background

Mizuyuki under Shirakiin Kurumi's tutelage has been a revolution so far. After Shirakiin took Ishikawa's place for the Market Cup held in Mapletish this edition, she masterfully led the team to a long run in the tournament, culminating in a pulsating 3-2 victory over a strong Ko-oren outfit in the final and lifting the Nova's first ever piece of silverware in the process.

Shirakiin is a very ideological coach when it comes to football strategy and tactics; as such, she has persevered with her brand of attacking, creative football throughout her reign at the top of Mizuyuki's footballing hierarchy. Shirakiin heavily emphasises the rapid recycling of possession from the back - it's not uncommon to see the ball being passed quickly from the defence to the midfield or forward line after possession is gained, without any dithering on the ball. However, there is a distinct personality to the team's attacking play - Mizuyuki usually breaks rapidly down the flanks before cutting into the middle. This can give them some trouble when they come up against a team who prioritises the battle for the center of the park, but in that case the two inverted wingers will switch flanks and start to bomb crosses in from wide with their favoured foot - the same goes for the wingbacks. The philosophy of Total Football is also given priority in Shirakiin's system, and Mizuyuki's players will regularly switch positions during open play, so a wingback may appear in the forward line, and a striker might track back to defend while leaving a winger up front as an auxiliary forward.

In an unprecedented move, national icon and manager Shirakiin Kurumi has taken charge of Mizuyuki's young guns for the seventh U15 World Cup, presumably to ensure that the players are able to acclimatise to her high-tempo pressing style and thus swiftly integrate into the senior squad.

Notes

The Federation of Free Republics (FFR) is a federation of Republics with a weak national government (the "Federation Government") that has numerous checks and balances. The Republics, each of which has its own government, are relatively independent, although they are subject to the Federation Constitution and its numerous restrictions on what government can do. Most important among them is the cap on taxation, which makes it unconstitutional for government (meaning all governments in the FFR) to take more than 10% combined of anybody's income in taxes, effectively limiting the government. They are the nearest neighbor to Saintland, although that tiny island nation is over a thousand miles to the north of the northern-most Republic's northern border, and most Republicans actually tend to consider progressives worse than religious fanatics, even if both ideologies are considered extreme and contrary to Republicanism. In the past, Rule Theriault has assigned the job of coaching the U-15 side to his assistant, Massimiliano Abdullahi, but this year, with the only World Cup bid being from the Free Republics, Theriault has decided to personally oversee the U-15 program. This is a mixed-gender side. Chelsea Badgery, Roberta Villalobos, Connie Chase and Thekla Ozerova are girls. Sachiya Inoue is from Noburu Taiyou, a semi-autonomous colony of the Free Republics located in Esportiva. Orazio Lucchesi is the brother of Melania Lucchesi, the former Republican U-15 captain. As usual with national teams from the Free Republics, this team is more about the team than any individual players. In past U-15 World Cups, the Free Republics have performed poorly, but Rule Theriault has chosen to personally take over this team, in order to lead them to a better performance this year. Since Theriault is expecting the Republican National Team to auto-qualify for the World Cup, he sees no need to prepare his team for World Cup qualifying.

This year's U-15 captain is Levai Imre, a goalkeeper whose star has been on the rise since his strong performance in last year's U-15, a performance that earned him a symbolic spot on the Republican National Team during World Cup Qualifying last year. He experienced all of the chaos in the notorious Group of Death first hand, experience that Theriault believes will prove invaluable to his development. Sachiya Inoue has overcome his difficulties with the English language, although he may pretend to not understand English or use broken English if doing so would be beneficial to him. With his increased grasp of the English language, he is beginning to finally reach his potential on the pitch. Connie Chase is another notable new starter for this team. She has been on the roster for several years and is developing into a prolific striker and a serious threat to score every time she touches the ball, something which the Republican U-15s have always lacked and which the U-21s did not have at this year's DBC. She has the potential to, someday, be every bit as good as Kyle Bolton and Koby Theodore. Vezirkhan Khadzhiev is somewhat less experienced than he should be and his inexperience may, at times, result in defensive lapses.

“Such a beautiful place. This is a really nice country to play some football in.” The origins of this voice came from the middle-aged man staring out into the world behind the large glass windows of the 13th floor of the Gate Hotel in Bellmont, Vettrera. The uniquely shaped hotel was like nothing known back home in Zenic and felt almost like an honor to be able to temporarily reside there. “Alas, we have no time to waste; we have a world cup to win, gentlemen,” said the man as he turned around, revealing himself to be Jean-Luc Duval, manager of the newly formed U-15 national team for the Empire of Zenic.

The Gate Hotel accommodation was amazing. A large, open concept room with the living room to the left and the kitchen to the right of the entrance. They proceeded to flow into the large dining room with a large table for banquets. Most of the walls in this section were windows that gave you the most incredible views of Bellmont and the waterfront. The next section contains two large bedrooms with queen sized beds, large closets, a door that leads to a shared bathroom, and a large window so you can see the incredible views even from your bed.

In the middle of the dining room, huddled around the large table, the other staff members who had accompanied Duval: Assistant Manager Pedro Camacho Jr., Dr. Emeka Diop, and the Deputy Minister of Sports Emile Forte De Luciano. Duval took a seat at the table and proceeded to open up his folder of printouts, notes and data on the other nations in group B. As the others did the same, De Luciano began to speak. “Okay, gentlemen, as you all know: we have been placed in Group B. Our fellow group members are the nations of Nelis Islands, Boring Paradise, Mastille and The Inevitable Syndicate.” A large groan came from the three other staff members. “So, not only did we get stuck with a nation that has won this twice, but they are also our first opponent?! Who did we wrong in order to deserve that?” This cry came from Camacho. “Just relax, Pedro: no one said the international stage was going to go easy on us because we’re new,” retorted the level-headed Duval.

“Agreed. Plus we’re here to make sure the kids play well and have fun. If we happen to win, good for us,” chimed in Dr. Diop. Camacho shut himself up, knowing full well if he forced the issue, he would be shot down hard by all of them. “As I was going to say,” De Luciano began anew, “we have been given the honor of going up against 2-time U-15 world cup champs The Inevitable Syndicate in our first game. Clearly, they are not to be underestimated at all costs: if we do that, we shall surly lose.” Camacho snorted in laughter, which the others looked at quizzically. “Are you serious?! They haven’t won this tournament in years! We can surely rout them with ease,” he yelled with enthusiasm, before renewing his laughing fit.

“Silence!” The yell rang out, causing Camacho to stop laughing and everyone to look at the source: Duval. “It does not matter if the team we're facing is the current champion, a former champion, a mediocre team, or the worst team ever: we will NOT underestimate them. That is how teams fail,” Duval sternly said. They all nodded in understanding, even Camacho. Duval then sighed and started to speak, this time calmly. “Diop, how are the kids doing?” Diop pulled a sheet of paper from the middle of his folder as he put on his reading glasses. “From the latest medical exam we did after arriving to the hotel, 19 of the 22 child are in perfect condition, both physically and mentally. The injuries are as follow: Backup RB David Hamid has a slight fever, Backup CB Paul Samuel Johnson has a sore ankle and Starting LB Navin Kothari is recovering from a cold. I believe Kothari will be at 92% or so and can play while Hamid and Johnson should sit out until the match against Mastille.” Duval nodded his head slightly, satisfied but not ecstatic about the report.

“Camacho, how about the training regimen?” Camacho straightened up in his chair when Duval asked this question, getting ready to answer. “I’ve got the forwards and midfielders working out in the morning while the defenders and goalies work out in the afternoon. In the evening, they train as a full team for 2 hours. They are on a strict low-fat, high carb diet and a strict lights out bedtime of 10 pm.” Duval grimaced a bit at the no sweets part, which Camacho noticed. “No need to worry, boss: the kids will be allowed to spend a couple of hours and eat whatever snacks they want while at the Eastern Winds Fair before the first matchday and then an hour or two for every victory we achieve during the tournamnet.” Duval’s grimace turned into a smile, which became infectious as the whole group smiled at the proposition.

“Very well, and Mr. De Luciano, how goes the accommodations and everything back home?” Duval smiled, fully aware that De Luciano reveled talking in the spotlight. “Sir, we have separated all the children into groups based on their positions and have granted each group their own room to stay in. You and I will be sharing accommodations to facilitate any communication between us, the Empire or any other nations. Camacho and Diop will share the accommodation across the hall.” Camacho and Diop groaned at the thought of having to share a room and Duval chuckled as De Luciano continued. “On the subject of speaking with nations, the Emperor has wished us much fortune and enjoyment. Minister and Federation President Zimmel III has prayed for us and expects much success from this team. And from polls taken in newspapers, approximately 96% of the nation wish us much success as well. The other 4% either couldn't remember what they were asked or had no idea what sports were.” This last statement drew another chuckle out of Duval and the others. “Basically, we have the eyes and attention of the empire. We have very little opportunity to slip up,” explained De Luciano.

“No need to worry. All we need to do is go out there, play our best game of association football, have fun and let the story unfold,” Manager Jean-Luc Duval said, ending the meeting. After all, there isn't much else to sports as Duval learned from his career spanning 17 years. “Not much else to sports, really.”

The Greater Vakolicci Haven's young players leave for Vettrera
Imnisi.vkl: your sporting website

Antonio Beluni, in an unceremonious occasion, led his young charges to the aircraft that havensport had provided for them this morning, in the company of representatives from no less than 9 Vakolicci sporting clubs: on the lookout for foreign stars to pick up.

The press, as we can confirm, did not listen to the managers respect for the privacy of the youth team, however it was noted that no larger-than-life characters had done what Blacksen Domination did 5 years previously in mooning the cameras.

The aircraft, leaving this morning, appeared spacious enough for the team to settle down in, reflecting the promise of havensport general Chairman Lord Sendip that "Our youth players deserve the same respect and treatement we will give our professional teams in a foreign nation."

[hr [/hr]

[u]v-net[/b]
Addressee: Chairman Beatrice Parker
Sender: Lord Ranus Sendip, Havensport, the Greater Vakolicci Haven

Honourable chairman;

The nature of this corespondence is to notify you as to the inadiquacy, and the coresponding unsafety, posed by the stadia you have selected for the placement of games within the under-15 world cup.

Vakolicci are a passionate, patriotic nation, which prides itself in its youth, and all that they can achieve. For this reason, Vakolicci have a tendency, whenever its youth (or any other sporting representative for that matter) take part in an international competition, to send a very large contingent of supporters, which we have done here.
Ms. Parker, I am sure that you can understand that for a nation of 9.6 billion people, a stadium of 39,000 is not large enough: particularly as the Vakolicci supporters are used to watching their teams in stadia such as the Fortress, with a capacity of over 120,000 persons.
Vakolicci, as a rule, are armed everywhere they go, and know how to use such armaments. If a large amount of Vakolicci supporters are denied entry into your stadia, their will, not could be or might, will, be a riot, and people will definitely die.
In the interest of safety, I would like to request that a larger stadium, with a higher seated capacity, be found to host Vakolicci matches. The alternative of this, Ms. Parker, is that a riot will be ensured by the sale of tickets at twice capacity by havensport.

I hope you will understand the need for such enlargements,
Lord Ranus Sendip,
Earl of Scela,
First Chairman of Havensport.

Postby Taslantis » Thu Feb 20, 2014 12:51 pm

The team coach rolls up to the palace. Out steps the manager, former Taslantis Senior International Michael Duck (who retired aged 26 with an injury), and is followed by no-one. Not even the rest of his staff, quite possibly due to the fact they're still in Taslantis finishing the season. None of these players are currently attached to clubs - They're from the main academy in the country, looking to attach clubs at the age of 16. Many reasons would come for these players not leaving the bus, some might be for this would be the longest they've been away from their family (Especially Mauricio Fuller, the youngest in the squad), another may be the lack of good, fast internet or phone reception. It is a castle...

"MOVE IT." The shout from the door comes, all of the players then realise they've stopped and start picking up their bags. Groans of "This is it?" and "Really?" swarm the team, but at least we're here.

We managed to get most of the top floor, bar a couple rooms for... journalists... From my room I can see... a circular stadium in the distance. Most likely the Epicenter. The goal. The top goal we're here for.
The Final.

Anyway, that's a passing thought. We're here for fun. Well, to enjoy playing at any rate. Crackdowns on nights out are enforced (especially as they're all under-aged in both Taslantis and Vettrera), as this would stop their fitness and ability to play to their optimal ability.

So the games... The parades of the Eastern Winds Fair coincide with Game-days 2&3... We're playing on Day 2 but we're free on Day 3. This is good, we'll be able to have a mid-week rest, and they can go have fun at the Fair. Our group on the other hand, seems to be quite fair on us. No former winners, nor any runners-up. This could be anyone's. The only team I'm concerned about is Farfadillis, the founders of this tournament, but they shouldn't be too hard to face. We should manage everyone else...
Just waiting for the rest of the staff to come along later today, especially needing them to have a medical check-up, more of a precaution though.

Let training commence...
>(>.>)>

Alright, this will be filled up some time soon...

THE VAPOREONS

After winning two titles, the Vaporeons now want to get that third title and officially become the side with most titles in the history of the Under-15 World Cup. And since 7 tends to be people's lucky number sometimes (though our lucky number probably is 55), why not win another title just to one-up Corvidae, huh?

RP PERMISSIONS
Anything normal in a match is fair game - with only one restriction: injuring or red-carding Morokoshi is forbidden. Go wild!
Imagine the world where the Pokémon games take place. Now add a little Akira, Ghost in The Shell and Batman Beyond. Then dress it up in a mix of punk rock and Japanese traditionalism. This is Mangetsujima.
