And here is your cutoff for the third Champions' Bowl!

We have 28 teams from 7 leagues signed up:

UAR - Union of Socialist Alpine Republics
PDN - Pridnestrovia
KOR - Ko-oren
DAR - Darmen
AFT - Abanhfleft
SER - Seraxinbourgh
VLZ - Velestria

And that means the format will be as follows:

First Playoff Round: All 3rd and 4th seeds.
Second Playoff Round: First Playoff Round winners and 3 random 2nd seeds
Round 1: 16 teams. All Second Playoff Round winners, and all remaining 2nd and 1st seeds.
Round 2: 8 teams.
Semifinals: 4 teams.
Champions' Bowl Final: 2 teams.

There have been no host bids for the Champions' Bowl Final, which means that the final will be played in the Stade sur la Baie, located in Aminey, Ko-oren, capacity 70.000.

- Teams from the same league will not be drawn to play each other in the Playoff Rounds or in Round 1.

Seraxinbourgh Premier Handegg League Season 2

The Seraxinbourghian Premier Handegg League has returned for a second season, only it has expanded from 6 teams to 10 teams, which means, along with the relegation of the Coastal Kings, that half of the league are new entrants.

To fit with this expansion, the format of the league has also changed. This time, instead of having a lengthy and boring for some playoff system, the Premier Handegg League now operates on a double round robin format, lasting 19 weeks before a Champions Bowl playoff match is held 2 weeks after the end of the season, making the season last 21 weeks in total.

The Teams:

Name: Lebes Light
Stadium: Park Street, Lebes (20,011), Central Stadium, Orkun (15,762)
Information: Renown for playing in the east side of the Lebes Cricket Stadium which forces them to play in Central's Commanders stadium when the Cricket team needs to use it for a pre-season friendly. Lebes Light are the club for the hooligan Gridiron fans which made news after they threw burning wooden planks onto the pitch after their game 7 defeat to Sonion City last year and set off countless flares and smoke bombs during last season's campaign (which was nicely accompanied by a pitch invasion in their Champions Bowl defeat), police struggle to control the diehard Lebes fans and some away fans are terrified of how close they are to Light fans at Park Street so have sworn to stay away this season, which is another reason that the league used in favour of expanding; so that teams wouldn't play Lebes Light too often.

Name: Sonion City Saints
Stadium: City Stadium, Sonion City (32,164)
Information: The Reigning Champions and the runners-up of the inaugural regular season, Sonion City have proven themselves to be a powerful force. Though, like all Seraxinbourghian teams, their international campaign went miserably, that is something that they will hope to improve upon this time around.

Name: Central Commanders
Stadium: Central Stadium, Orkun (15,762)
Information: The Rich kids of Gridiron are home to the quietest stadium out of the 10 current Premier League teams last season. Even on the road their atmosphere has been described as a "library" and "awful for a moderately good team". The Commanders may not be anything to shout about, but... Actually they're just really unimportant.

Name: Laborno Lions
Stadium: Lion Park, Laborno (50,392)
Information: Home to the largest fanbase and thus the largest stadium in the entirety of Seraxinbourghian Gridiron, the Lions are the worst of the "Big Three" in Seraxinbourghian Gridiron though they will be out to change this and hopefully nab a title for their large fanbase to feast their eyes upon and allow them to shut up the annoying Lebes Light fans.

Name: Stormwood Thunder
Stadium: Crowhill Street (12,302)
Information: Narrowly surviving last time out, Stormwood Thunder's fanbase are hoping for a much easier ride this time out now that the league quality has been diluted which hopefully could see them sneak into 5th or at the bare minimum comfortably survive.

Name: Coastal Knights
Stadium: Casino Avenue (23,104)
Information: The winners of last season's Regional League tournament and this year's representation for the Coast region is the Coastal Knights! From Seraxinbourgh's main red light district that is littered with brothels and adult shops on the inside while surrounded by Casinos, Bars and High Rise Hotels, the Knights' stadium sticks out like a sore thumb among all of these other buildings and the fans of this club reckon that they will be able to stand out in another way by achieving a place in the Champions Bowl and pulling in a bundle of money from the local area should they get a home tie.

Name: Ivygate Alchemists
Stadium: Second Street (9,132)
Information: The new Owner of the "Alchy Army", Jerome Tyr, has spent millions of Warajas on improving the squad and the clubs facilities out of hopes that they won't fail in the Premier League like they did in the Regional League playoff Semi-Finals in their match against Espor Gridiron.

Name: Espor Gridiron
Stadium: Espor Sports Centre (17,219)
Information: Qualifying as runners-up of the Regional League Playoffs, Espor Gridiron bring a passionate, but not violently extreme atmosphere like Lebes Light's to the league with the scenes of their fans bouncing on the Regal Street Station platform on the Laborno Metro after their quarter final win away to Laborno-Regal guaranteed them promotion to the top flight still a popular spot on the Internet. Though Espor fans shouldn't get their hopes too high with the best thing that they can hope for is winning one of their games against their rivals, the Sonion City Saints.

Name: Bosni Blackbirds
Stadium: Bosni Park (6,210)
Information: The 108-0 thrashing away to the Coastal Knights after this abysmal team somehow managed to qualify for the Semi-Finals still haunts many Bosni Blackbirds fans even with the promotion that acompanied it and none of their fans expect anything major from this season, especially after they narrowly edged through both the round-of-16 and the quarter finals (with the latter being mainly due to a few debatable calls from the referee).

Name: Burroughbridge Bruisers
Stadium: Riverside (7,021)
Information: Only achieving promotion as 5th place due to winning the quarter finals, the Bruisers are the bookies favourite to go down this season.

2040 Darmeni Football League Season

The 2040 season began with Darmeni teams having a much better showing in the Champions' Bowl. In the previous year, all four Darmeni participants lost their opening matches, giving Darmen a dismal 0-4 record in international play. This year, all four teams representing Darmen won their first matches and Rogerton FC '13 advanced all the way to the semifinals before losing to the Charlevoix Bears.

In the Northern Football Conference, the Darmen City All*Stars repeated as conference champions, navigating the regular season with ease and dispatching their two playoff opponents. The Scott City Metropolitans had a horrid season in the South division, allowing the 8-8 Tempala Tigers to make the playoffs as division champions. The Tigers did justify their playoff appearance, defeating the Eau Claire Crush in triple overtime with a 47 yard field goal.

Whereas the NFC was competitive for most of the regular season, the Southern Football Conference was a two horse race. The Romanopolis Romans and Rogerton FC '13 ran away from the other 14 teams in the SFC, finishing 14-2 and 13-3 respectively to earn home field advantage in the Divisional Playoffs. Behind them was a morass of mediocrity, seven teams finished with records of 9-7 but only four could make the playoffs. The Kingsville Kings and Menomonie Thunderhawks made it in as division champions, while the Bloomer Bulldogs and Chuckio Colts qualified as wild cards. The Kings were the surprise team in the playoffs, defeating the top seeded Romans on the road, 17-10. The Kings fell to Rogerton a week later, 27-10, setting up a rematch of Darmen Bowl VIII for the DFL championship.

Darmen Bowl IX was hosted by the All*Stars, who together with the visitors, played far more defense than they had in the previous year's championship game. Rogerton FC '13 emerged victorious, winning 17-10 following a 17 yard rushing TD with a minute left in the fourth. The two clubs in the championship game will be the only two Darmeni teams returning to the Champions' Bowl.

2041 Imperial Hinodejin Gridiron League

Following the one-season hiatus, a result of how underfunded the teams were, the Imperial Hinodejin Gridiron League returns, now receiving help of the Imperial Ministry of Sports and being distributed in a more spread-out manner, teams hailing from all parts of the Empire, including the new province of Misei. The level of play varies somewhat, however, a result of one division being pretty much made solely of already-existing teams, the Ashes Division, being the tightest division of the league in terms of competition.

In the end, the winners of each division play the National Playoffs. This season saw four teams that played in the past (Hanada Breakers, Koranikane Pegasus, Kazama Devil Bats and the renamed Kamandu Bisons) be joined by teams that were created last year (Uranai Kitsunes, Budariki Mighty Magyars, Misei City Gatekeepers and Faruka Galaxy). In the end, the first Imperial Bowl sees the Hanada Breakers and their quarterback Kyo Matsudaira win their first trophy ever against the impressive defensive strength of the Misei City Gatekeepers.

4th Champions' Bowl

List of associations

SRX - Seraxinbourgh (4)
COS - Cosumar (4)
KOR - Ko-oren (4)
DAR - Darmen (4)
TAE - Taeshan (4)
HIN - Kita-Hinode (4)
PDN - Pridnestrovia (4)
AFT - Abanhfleft (4)
BAN - Banija (4)

And that means that we have 9 associations, represented by 36 total teams. That gives us the following format:

Playoff Round: Eight randomly chosen 4th seeds.
Round 1: All 1st, 2nd and 3rd seeds, along with the five remaining 4th seeds.
Round 2: 16 remaining teams
Round 3: 8 remaining teams
Semifinals: Four remaining teams
Champions' Bowl Final: Two remaining teams.

Teams will not be drawn against teams from the same association in Round 1. For Round 1, four Pots will be prepared. Pot 1 will play Pot 4 and Pot 2 will play Pot 3. Pot 1 contains eight randomly chosen 1st seeds. Pot 2 contains the remaining 1st seed and seven randomly chosen 2nd seeds. Pot 3 contains the remaining 2nd seeds and six 3rd seeds. Pot 4 contains the remaining three 3rd seeds and all remaining 4th seeds.

There have been no bids to host the CBF, which means that the final will be played in the Stade sur la Baie, located in Aminey, Ko-oren, capacity 70.000.

Sterling City Rams (DAR) 0 7 7 7 21
Laborno Lions (SRX) 3 3 6 6 18

5th Champions' Bowl
Signups for the fifth Champions' Bowl are open! The deadline is 01-Aug-2019, 21:00 CEST.
Host bids for the Champions' Bowl Final are also accepted until 01-Aug-2019, 21:00 CEST.

The format remains the same:

- No coefficients, though RP bonus will be applied which resets per Champions' Bowl
- The preferred format is as follows:

-- First Round, Second Round, Quarterfinal, Semifinal: one single knock-out match
-- Final: one single knock-out match, on neutral ground, stadium host bids may be included with signups.
- Teams from the same league will not be drawn to play each other in the Playoff Rounds or in Round 1.

Hey, so what is the deadline going to be extended for this since I am the only entrant to the Champions' Bowl (as of now) and nobody has made a host bid yet?

I planned to announce a new deadline this weekend. I might as well do that now. With the World Bowl just over, I didn't want to tack this on right after that. Host bids are pretty much there for bragging rights, so feel free to add one to your signups. Usually, with a deadline out there, people will post their seasons (but I think they might also be busy with the looming soccer cutoff).

I'm extending the deadline to Friday August 16th, same time as previously announced. That gives everyone two weeks to get their seasons together.
