Futsal gold goes to Bulgaria
28 February 2018

Orlin Ganev scoring for Bulgaria
Bulgaria took the gold at the Futsal tournament in a dramatic match against the team of Darmen late yesterday. The game finished 5:2, the first half being a hotly contested battle between the two equal teams. A goal by Dzhamdzhiev (9') opened the result in favour of the Revolutionaries, but Darmen quickly returned to the game one minute before the break. The second half began with a quick first-minute goal for Darmen, which brought the result to 1:2 in their favour.

Bulgaria then pressed onward with three unsuccessful counterattacks until Danov (7') made a comfortable 2:2. In the next ten minutes Ganev (11') and Panov (13') increased the difference to 4:2. Two minutes before the end, Dimitrov scored the final 5:2. Darmen mounted a fierce counterattack, but the Revolutionaries' defence proved impenetrable and the game ended amid loud cheers by the public.

The title moved Bulgaria up to third place in the medal table with two gold, four silver and four bronze medals, behind Nassau-Hessen with 4-4-2 and Darmen with 5-3-1.

Britannual News

That wasn't great.

Country: Bulgar Rouge

Well, it is over. The first spartakiad is over. It was terrible for Britonisea. As we only got 2 silver medals. We had a good reputation in volleyball but all of a sudden we was beaten by San Jose Guayabal and we were in the third place positions then we lost. BAC (Britonish Athletics Committee) is furious with these Britonisean athletes and there is a consideration to fire every single person. The decision will be made later on this week. But for now, lets enjoy the closing ceremony which is on BITC at 20:30. How good an impression can Bulgar do?

"Bulgaria" Stadium lights up with the first round of fireworks under the clear night sky. All competitors enter the stadium and form a large mass of competitors receiving the loud cheers of the spectators. They have gathered around the central scene, where mass games and gymnastic performances take place.

As the performances finish, the medal ranking is announced, with the delegations of the three top-ranking nations and the host taking their respective places. After a spectacular visual display and fireworks, members of the Leftist Agrarian Revolutionary Party announce the official ending of the I Spartakiad.

On behalf of our people we would like to congratulate all the athletes for their inspiring performance. Through strength, determination, team work and the desire to improve and succeed, the representatives of each nation present here demonstrated the friendly bonds people throughout the world can form through peaceful competition. Indeed, we are joyous to have had all of you here, and we are expecting you again next year !

Proudly Mama Peruschka hymed The International wheen she took the bronze medal, holding a the new Kriegiersien flag in her hands. She had won it without a loss, but ended only third, because she hadn't strangled her opponent, Olympics Krylova from the Slave State, hard enough in the qualification, out of sisterly respect .

Later she waved with the others happily at the Closing Ceremony, enjoying the pyromaniac show. They all had a fun time, even they were last, with only one medal. They hadn't expected more. The really interesting things were yet to come. Bringing freedom and peace to the people of Kriegiersien. If needed, with violence.
