World Baseball Classic 28 signups [CLOSED]

As the president of the World Baseball Classic Council, it is my distinct honor to open sign ups and hosting bids for this, the 28th edition of the World Baseball Classic. To indicate your sign up and/or to submit a host bid, please reply to this message in this thread. Puppets are allowed at a maximum of one per nation and must be confirmed by the master nation, but in the end, it is up to the host whether to include them or not. If you intend to bid on hosting this event, the bid should at least somewhat resemble the winning bid from Saintland and Maklohi Vai for WBC 27 in terms of organization. This post also acts as a signup for Saugeais.

I'm putting my invitational on hold and probably going to give my existing team yet another "last chance," even after their winless performance in the EAF, due to time constraints.

Either the Free Republics or Noburu Taiyou may be joining, so I'll pre-confirm both of them now. If the Republics join, it will be solely as a numbers signup. If Taiyou joins, it will be in the unlikely event that I find enough time to RP with that nation. If not, then I'll delay Taiyou's WBC debut just like I debuted the World Bowl debut of the Free Republics.
