Gethin Ramsey lit a cigar.
"So what was with those penalties?" asked Henry, quietly pouring out a pint for them both. "Didn't you practice?"
Gethin shrugged. "Rarely comes up. Lucia usually hits. Beyond that, grit's all that matters, and we bottled out today."
"Well... I guess coaching's your job."
"Bent bloody ref... who the hell hands out red cards in a Strongnesse match? That goes for them, too; I don't see why their man was sent down."
"Lucia was pretty badly clattered..."
"She said she'd be fine! ... I guess that's just her stubbornness, maybe. She's a good woman, and a fine captain, but ... well, she's getting old."
Gethin leaned back in his seat. "Maybe they got a point about the whole thing."
"The religion shit? Hell, I go to church."
"I haven't in years, but that's not what I meant." The gaffer waved a hand vaguely, puffing on the cigar. "This whole thing... it's become something it weren't meant to. There's no... respect, anymore. We're more focused on winding 'em up than winning the damn thing."
"Maybe you've got a point. We got to show we got class as well as skill."
Henry handed over the pint, and both men drank heavily and regretfully.
"Two years from now, we win it back. Put the screws to 'em."
Gethin sighed, but when he looked up it was with a newfound intensity.
"We can do this better."
The old ways were best!

ROARING DRAGONS FRIENDLIES' REPORT
Squad shows good form, despite 1-1-1 record

Following an undefeated Baptism of Fire campaign, the Welsh Cowboy national football squad undertook a small set of friendlies before beginning the qualification stage of World Cup 66. The squad finished 1-1-1, including a victory in the Prime Minister's Cup and a defeat to the World Cup champions Wight. Below, we highlight each of the three matches.

Åsløtten-Bëðerbørg så Česky 1-1 Welsh Cowboy
Location: Gustavus Adolphus Stadium, Gustavsbørg, Åsløtten-Bëðerbørg så Česky

In the inaugural match of the Prime Minister's Cup, which officials from Welsh Cowboy and Åsløtten-Bëðerbørg så Česky hope will become a regular fixture between World Cups, the Roaring Dragons traveled to take on the same team that they defeated in the quarterfinals of the BoF on penalty kicks.

The game started off well for the home side, as they masterfully worked the ball from side to side, making the Dragons chase for the first quarter of an hour. All the possession and ball control earned the Nordic Conquerors a goal in the 18th minute, as captain Edvin Astøberg slotted home a strike from 20 yards out, leaving Welsh Cowboy keeper William Jackson screaming furiously at his defense. The stadium erupted, and for several minutes afterward, it looked as if Åsløtten-Bëðerbørg så Česky could win by multiple goals.

But it wasn't to be, and while an Astøberg free kick in the 23rd minute scraped the top of the bar, that was the last chance for Conquerors before momentum began to shift. Welsh Cowboy began coming into the game, with wingers Sergio Calabana and Thomas Kramer launching probing runs down the side of the pitch. The game would return to its original condition in the 37th minute, as Matthew Guval, the leading scorer for Welsh Cowboy in the BoF, combined with captain Alec Vordeau at the top of the box, ending up with a one-on-one opportunity from just 10 yards out, where he buried a shot in the upper right corner.

The second half began quickly for the Roaring Dragons. Kramer had an open header from 5 yards out off a corner kick, but his header bounced squarely off the crossbar, leaving Welsh Cowboy still on the hunt for a goal. Another chance presented itself in the 76th minute, as Patrick Teller was taken down just outside the box, but Vordeau could not control the free kick, as the ball sailed high. The Nordic Conquerors found a bit of momentum in stoppage time, as 30 seconds into the expanded match, Elias Ruzïck hit the right post on a blistering shot that left keeper Jackson thanking the skies for his good fortune.

And then the referee's whistle had blown, and going into the home leg of the Cup, the Roaring Dragons and Nordic Conquerors were even.

Welsh Cowboy 4-3 Åsløtten-Bëðerbørg så Česky
Location: Independence Stadium, Humdeia, Welsh Cowboy

Before the PM's Cup came to Welsh Cowboy, giving the nation the chance to host its first ever international football match, manager George Pingrell said he would be "madly disappointed" if his team couldn't find enough in them to win.

He surprised many by giving Richard Ludebank his first international cap in place of William Jackson, but Pingrell announced just minutes before the game that the 25-year old keeper was struggling with a minor ankle injury, so he decided to give Ludebank a chance to prove why many analysts expected him to be given the starting job prior to the BoF.

Welsh Cowboy looked as if they might run away with the game early, as Guval curled a shot into the lower left corner just 5 minutes in. "I just got the ball on the left side of the box, and I saw the keeper was a bit over to my right, so I had a go, and it worked," he said post match. The lead expanded to two, less than 15 minutes later, when a Vordeau free kick was swung into the box, and although a Conqeuror placed a strong header into it, the ball fell at the feet of Sergio Calabana, who cooly sidestepped a defender and finished beautifully.

The Roaring Dragons continued to control the game and almost all aspects of it, but the visitors halved the deficit against the run of play, when William Čalrek headed home the first Conqueror corner of the game, a goal which did little to affect the flow of the game. Alec Vordeau, in the 30th minute, found a golden opportunity as a cross from Thomas Kramer slid unchallenged across the face of goal, but the Roaring Dragons' star couldn't put the ball in the back of the net, as his one-touch shot sailed well-high, eliciting a loud set of groans from the Welsh Cowboy faithful.

Toward the end of the first 45 minutes, the visitors began to wrest back some control of the ball, but Welsh Cowboy without a doubt controlled the match for the remainder of the half. Yet again, though, the Nordic Conquerors clawed back a goal against the run of play, securing a deadlocked match going back into the dressing room for halftime. Captain Edvin Astøberg drove into the box, before being taken down clumsily by Jean Bapun. Bapun received a yellow card, and Astøberg walked calmly to the spot and sent Ludebank the wrong way, in the process clinching a 2-2 scoreline at halftime.

There were more goals to come, and this time, it was the Roaring Dragons who took the lead. Alec Vordeau avenged himself following the poor finishing performance he put on in the first half. Anders Kleppner ripped a shot from over 25 yards out that resounded firmly off the crossbar, that was parried away by the keeper, but fell to Vordeau, who placed the ball in the sidenetting, overcoming a narrow angle to put the Roaring Dragons ahead again. The goal seemed to calm the game down, as in the next 20 minutes, both squads seemed content to control the ball in their respective halves. Even the visitors, trailing by a goal, appeared reluctant to take risks.

That all changed in the 71st minute, when Elias Ruzïck made a beautiful back post run, placing a header from just 3 yards out in the back of the Welsh Cowboy net. Manager Pingrell called it "horrendous defense work" and something "that could make us lose every game we play." This goal also changed the trajectory of the game, as Åsløtten-Bëðerbørg så Česky began to take more and more possession and chances, such as a shot from Ruzïck in the 77th minute that forced Ludebank into an acrobatic, diving save.

Despite the momentum, though, it was Welsh Cowboy that scored the decisive goal, clinching the Prime Minister's Cup in the process. Lucas Burns, hustling up the field, was able to collect a pass from Guval, evade a defender, and chip the ball over the keeper's head, earning the Roaring Dragons their second trophy in two competitions.

"It feels good, very, very good," said Alec Vordeau after the match. Indeed.

Wight 3-1 Welsh Cowboy
Location: South Lawn, Spit, Wight

Compared to the two matches in the inaugural Prime Minister's Cup, Welsh Cowboy's final pre-qualification friendly, against current World Cup champions Wight, was a Herculean task. No one on the team dared utter the word "win" or "victory" in press conferences before the game, as almost every analyst said that losing by less than 4 games would be a minor victory. And if that was the standard, then they succeeded.

Without a doubt, the mysterious land of Wight, which this summary will not even attempt to explain, is home to a football team on a different level than Welsh Cowboy. The difference was clear from the very start of the match, as The Sondry Folk opened the match with a flurry of activity, earning a corner in just the 2nd minute. Jean Bapun was able to head the cross away, but the home side reorganized, and right midfielder Zachary Fosse-Gordon took the ball uncontested to the goal line, before driving a low ball across the face of goal which found the foot of Lorccán Cotterill for an early Wight lead.

The world champions continued on a beautiful run of play, combining and working the ball around in what manager Pingrell of the Roaring Dragons called "magic." The ball seemed to dart from foot to foot, across the field, back again, and then back yet again. In the 9th minute, a back door run by Cotterill almost earned him a second goal, but the ball skidded harmlessly over his boot, where the Welsh Cowboy back four could clear their lines.

Wight almost struck again in the 24th, when a bad pass from Brandon Olsart left Argon Skewes with an unabated run at William Jackson in the visitors' goal. Jackson was up to the task, though, parrying the shot, showing incredible dexterity in the process, and then hurrying to chase down the rebound before Cotterill could reach it for an easy tap-in. Jackson described the save after the game: "The thought there is just save it, however you can. If his eyes look somewhere, you pretty much guess and go there, I guess."

Welsh Cowboy held on, though, holding the deficit at just one until the 44th minute, when it appeared that their defense let its guard down, if ever so slightly. Piran McKenzie chipped a long ball over the top of the Roaring Dragon back four, where Wight forward Manalaus Carne was only too happy to retrieve the ball, dribble around William Jackson, and tap the ball into the back of the net, essentially removing any illusions that might have persisted in the Welsh Cowboy squad's mind about an upset.

Despite being down two at the break, it appeared that George Pingrell inspired his team with a rousing talk, for in the opening minutes of the second half, the Roaring Dragons managed to put together something resembling good play, holding the ball consistently in The Sondry Folk's half for the first time in the entire match. Alec Vordeau even registered the Dragons' first shot in goal of the game, as he fired an admittedly weak roller from the edge of the box.

It was the home team that scored for the third time, though, as around the 55th minute, they began to take back control of the game. Cotterill had several blistering volleys and shots, although Jackson was up to the task, knocking each ball away and clear of danger. His best save might have been on an Ia Rodda cross onto the edge of the six-yard box. Jackson was able to come off his line and knock the ball away from what was surely a Wight goal by Cotterill. Unluckily, though, Piran MacKenzie was able to fire the ball past Jackson, expanding the Wight lead again.

The Dragons did not completely fold, though, as Wight withdrew into more of a defensive formation, in an attempt to run out the clock and secure the victory. Patrick Teller, the 19-year old rising star, entered the game in the 70th minute in place of Anders Kleppner, immediately making an impact by dribbling and evading defender after defender on a probing run into the box that ended disappointingly with a weak shot easily sent behind for a Welsh Cowboy corner, which was wasted with a poor cross.

But later, in the 77th minute, Teller collected a game at the top of the circle, with his back to goal. He cut right, then pulled back to his left, before turning and leaving the Wight defender looking like a rock stuck in the ground as the ball ran through his legs and back under Teller's control; Teller showed finesse and easily placed the shot into the lower right corner for his second international goal and at least retaining some pride for the Roaring Dragons as they enter World Cup 66 qualifying.

Luzvimindia ties it out in 2nd friendly with SJG, 1-1
by: Lorenzo Lozano - 4:45 pm September 15, 2013 (Luzvimindia Time); 8:45 am September 15, 2013 (UTC)

The Maynila City International Stadium was filled with spectators in the 1st international friendly match ever held in Luzvimindia. With a total number of 64,311 spectators, this game would decide whether or not the Luzvimindia Eagles is ready for the World Cup.

The match began at 11:30 am Luzvimindia Time (3:30 am UTC). Right after the Luzvimindian national anthem, the Luzvimindian fans erupted in cheers for nearly two minutes before the marshals and ushers calmed them down. During the first ten minutes, SJG opened with an impressive offense. Two attempts at the goal were made and one nearly went in had it not been for the efforts of Luzvimindian goalkeeper, Gabby Trillañes. The latter part of the 1st half saw a stalemate with both teams showing a good defense followed-up by a strong offense. By the end of the 1st half, it was still very unclear who had the upper hand 'cause both teams were playing their best.

In the locker room, Coach PJ told the team to give it their all and prove to the world that Luzvimindia is a team to watch out for in the 66th World Cup. Along with assistant coaches, Jaime Ferrera and Jecs Dela Cruz, Coach PJ worked out an offensive play, which is an extension of the 4-3-2-1 formation, that would hopefully break the SJG defense.

Back on the field for the 2nd half, Eagles team captain Julius Rizal led the prayer for the team then they re-entered the pitch. At the start of the final half, Luzvimindia opened up with a very strong offense. Good passes were made by Rizal, Mateo Garredo and Paulito Azarcon to Rommel Lim who did his best to keep making attempts at the goal. As the match headed into the 59th minute, a steal by defender Angeles Quijano then an arc pass to forward Rommel Lim who did a strong header scored the first goal of the match. The entire team tackled and carried Rizal and Quijano as the score became, 1-0, Luzvimindia leading. With the Luzvimindian offense on overdrive, it seemed as if the Eagles had this game all taken care of. However, at the 71st minute, a short pass from SJG midfielder R. Valencia to forward R. Zelaya scrambled the two Luzvimindian defenders in the center (Ermita and Dimasalang), leaving J. Faña wide-open for an easy goal. The score was once again at one a piece. Heading into the 80th minute, both teams continued their attacks into each other's defense but it was clearly becoming a slug match once again resembling the situation in the 1st half. By the 90th minute, it was clear no team had the upper hand and so the referees ended the game, 1-1.

In the post-game press conference, Coach PJ commended his team for the effort and the defensive stops they managed to do but he said that there was still a lot more to work on heading into the 1st match of the World Cup. Although the team did give the effort for this game, Coach PJ thinks that he has seen a better performance and more effort in the previous games they've played in. When asked whether or not the team is 100% prepared for the 66th World Cup, Coach PJ said that he doesn't believe any team will be 100% prepared for the games. He only knows that the Luzvimindia Eagles have worked hard and trained well for this and with just a little more tweaking and training, he is confident that the team will make Luzvimindia proud heading into the World Cup.

Final recap of the score 1-1:

59' Lim - 71' Faña

And with that, the 2-game friendly series with SJG comes to a close. The next match that Luzvimindia will be playing in will most likely be the 1st match of the World Cup. As of today (September 15), there is still no word on the first day of the matches as the hosts are still looking for two more national teams to sign up for the WC. For now, stay tuned to the National Television Broadcasting Network's Sports Lounge for the latest. Again, this is Lorenzo Lozano, signing out from the Maynila City International Stadium. See you guys in my next update!

VERMOUTH TROPHY
McCloud's lone goal take Apox down, Vermouth Trophy remains at Sunrise

The Sunrisians maintain the Vermouth Trophy at the land of the Marill after a hard fought battle against their all-time rivals, Apox, after McCloud scored thanks to the lack of someone to hold the Apoxian side from not tackling the opposition all the time. The match, aside from a sent off that the Apoxians somehow obtained, could've gone either way, as the always dangerous team of Ularu, Benzari and Sindelar did not disappoint.

The game was special for a couple of reasons, aside from the Vermont Trophy itself. For starters, this meant the reunion of Andressa and Larissa at the same place. Since Larissa is now at Iturributa, the two had been separated for a good while. Even though the two regular sidebacks were playing at the main team, there is a good chance that the Sousa couple may cause some ruckus.

Also, another player that was born in Northern Sunrise Islands is taking the route to the Inexplicable Syndicate. Isner, born in Carnival do Oeste, early moved to Apox and there, started a football career. He was "pleased" to face his former land before match, as some shadier columns of Sunrisian media pointed out. Currently a defender for Bastion, a team of the often underrated league of Eura; he played a rather small part on the match.

The first half showed good action, as both sides took their chances, to varied degrees of success. One, however, must not ignore the great chances that Tregajorran and Ularu, with Carvalho not disappointing either with a great shot after foul. Also, foul is a good word to describe how the Apoxians played, considering a yellow card that Nielssen seemed to beg for after a harsh tackle on Guillermo di Luca.

Half-Time, nil-nil and changes. Katie Womble entered, substituting a decent Jenson Moses for Apox, while Di Luca was subbed out for Harley "Quinn" Smith. The Harlequinn however, wouldn't be able to claim her famous "Scared to Look" goals this time around. Instead, Starfox was the one responsible. After Forster decided to go Duke "The Terrorist" Crabtree on Carvalho, getting a red card and giving poor Mateus an injury; which straight out proves that he failed to emulate Duke as there was no laughter coming from a nasal voice or guitar riffs.

With Carvalho being subbed out as Patiy entered the field and Athelstan Firth entering to fill up the hole that Forster opened on at the expense of Will Fich, Starfox converted a perfect curved shot, leaving Joe Frost confused as the ball hit the net. The Apoxians made some other changes, hoping to tie or even turn the tables at the Vaporeons, with Barnett and Benzari, but the Vaporeons controlled it with no difficulty. 1-0, Vermouth Trophy is ours, which gives our architects another year to somehow turn that "silly old chap" figure at the trophy into Johnny f'n Gat.

APOX - 0
Frost; Forster (65'), Isner, Nielssen, Sindelar; Trevowah (Benzari 80'), Fich (Firth 65'), Moses (Womble 45'), Puskas; Ularu, Tregajorran (Barnett 70')
NORTHERN SUNRISE ISLANDS - 1
Sioux; Redwing, Hikari, McFlemming (P. Mangalonga 69'), Hawk; McCloud (65'), I. Mangalonga, Di Luca (Quinn 45'), Nagatomo (Laval 83'); Travis, Carvalho + (Patiy 65')

NSIFC SIGNS UP TWO FRIENDLIES
The Sunrisians now have other two friendlies to play in, but not really the exact line-up to play on both. As a joint venture with the famous Silph Company, the NSIFC will send the PokéSquad for a match against the Ponies of Equestrian States at the Babylon Gardens, normally home of the Matthew City Rangers. Whether the match will use the sky-high feature, it's still to be known. If it does, it will be the first match of the Babylon Gardens at 100 ft. up. The squad will be the same of the Felixian Football Tour.

APPOINTED LINE-UP FOR THE MATCH AGAINST EQUESTRIAN STATES
Melhein; M. Evanescence, Foxie, Shockey, J. Evanescence; Montserrat, Green Day, Van den Krutch, Don Hwang; Good Charlotte, Van den Saar

The other match, now with the regular squad, will be a friendly against the Serbian Empire, dubbed the Super Smash Brothers Clash as the Vaporeons face the Greil Mercenaries. While the friendly itself is a first encounter of both sides, the University of Marendi's History Department already declared that the nickname was unhappily placed as none of these groups actually took part on the historical event, to which the NSIFC answered without problems "We don't care".

APPOINTED LINE-UP FOR THE MATCH AGAINST THE SERBIAN EMPIRE
Millard; Souza, P. Mangalonga, Hanekawa, de Sousa; Laval, Crawford, Smith, Duda; Patiy, Montblanc

The States Stumble in Friendlies
Eagles Net 2 Draws, Loss

GERMAN AMERICAN STATES- There is some uncertainty in the ranks of the German American States fans and players. As the National A-Team flew in from The National Cup in Pappuzano, they had 3 friendlies, 2 agianst very formidable teams in Felix and Vaugina. Lets give a summary of each match.

German American States 2-3 San Jose Guayabal

The Eagles saw their welcome home party thrown at the National Colosseum in Milwaukeesburg. Autumn is starting to set in, as it was 63 F and cloudy, with a breeze coming in off the water in the west. The fans were out en force to welcome the boys back home.

San Jose Guayabal kicked off and soon was on the attack. Jonathan Faña had a good run down the side, making his way past Dante Ruiz with a Maradonna, but soon stopped by a slide tackle by Shaka Okbaoh. It was close to being a booking, but they avoided the foul as well. The Eagle's first chance came in the 7th, when Lukas Krohn made a good run down the wing, and tried to get a cross in, but was deflected out by Augustine Jibrin.

SJG struck first in the 12th, with a beautiful cross coming in from Faña, that was finished by Zelaya. The home fans were silenced, and an uncertainty hung in the air. However, GAS struck back. Hans Wippenbeck used a bit of fancy footwork to make his way around the 3 defenders on the SJG side and launch a winding bullet into the top right corner. The fans were suddenly pumped up and were filling the eaves of the stadium with noise. There were some more oppurtunities, but nothing major going into the half.

In the second half, GAS was put on the defensive. SJG made major inroads in the defense, cutting and crisscrossing passes between the defenders and trying Joshua Klopp with shots coming from left and right. Soon he was bound to crack, and that happened in the 53rd, as Sean Fraser headed a cross in from Valencia.Klopp cracked again in the 68th, as he could not stop a deflected shot from outside the box sent in by Valencia.

However, the States were not giving up without a fight. In the 86th, Rogalski put a screamer in from the penalty spot with authority. It was no contest, Hernandez had no chance. It was to no avail, however, as the Eagles left the stadium upset by 317th ranked SJG.

GAS 2- 2 Felix
The Eagles traveled up north to Gruenwald after their first qualifier game. Lumberjack Army, the Gruenwalder supporter group, and several other NT supporter groups from Nordbergen and Gruenwald teamed up for a fantastic tifo. Felix was expected to blow away GAS, and it looked like it was going to be that case early on. Yun Dong Lee rainbowed a ball over Karl Strauber and then chipped it up over Joshua Klopp for the first goal.

Felix nailed one in later in the 37th, when Fischer was booked inside the penalty box, and Simo Roni put into the penalty. GAS went into the half like this, but they were not going to be defeated.

Soon, in the 63rd, Captain Gunnar Baumgartner chipped a ball in at the penalty spot for the goal. The crowd was newly energized with the goal, and you could tell there was a momentum shift. in the 74th, they kept the momentum as Dante Ruiz scored a spectacular weak foot chip from just inside the box. That definitely riled up the crowd.

There were some more chances, but no more promising ones, and the States left Lumberjack Park with a 2-2 draw.

GAS 2-2 Vaugania

In the final friendly before World Cup Qualifying, GAS went up against giant Vaugania in Nordbergen Arena in Kaltstadt. There was either a sense of immense excitement with the players in the warmups or a sense of immense dread of playing on of the premier football sides in the world. The oddsmakers were favoring a 6-1 win for Vaugania, but they saw a different result entirely.

The game got off to a brilliant start in the 13th with Gunnar Baumgartner weaving his way through the defense and playing a beautiful cross on the ground to Hans Wippenbeck who tapped the ball in. The crowd went crazy as Wippenbeck and his teammates did their classic "Rocky" celebration. Later in the added time for the first half, further excitement ensued as Baumgartner put a header off a cross from Dante Ruiz in with authority. Spirits were high going into the second half, with players and fans alike cheering and giving high fives.

They would be disappointed in the second half, however. In the 56th, Lars Baltzersen put one past Joshua Klopp to make it 2-1. Then, in the 73rd, Miloslav Vorotaev leveled the score for Vaugania. Several more blows were exchanged between the two sides with Daniel Bauer and Throsten Althusser both getting chances for their respective sides. The game ended that way, with the fans giving their side a standing ovation.

In review, the friendlies might appear that the States are not up to snuff, but there is another story behind the stats. The Eagles showed that despite a bad loss to a much worse team, they could hang with some of the best teams in the world. I think the fans should be ready to see a competitive team in Audioslavia and TIS for the World Cup. We should be confident that whatever group we draw, we will do well.

There are anonymous reports out of Gregoryisgodistan expressing concern over what would happen if Gregoryisgodistan is drawn in the same group as Equestrian States. It appears the Talking Ponies team have a player named "Apple Pie." However, uttering the phrase "Apple Pie" in Gregoryisgodistan is punishable by death, as it was the secret phrase of an underground movement called ANONLPHADE, or Anonymous Liberationists Practicing Hacktivism and Disabling Everything. Non-humans are not subject to Gregoryisgodistani law. Furthermore, Gregoryisgodistani law provides that all foreigners from a country where a majority of sapients are non-human shall be considered non-human for all legal purposes, and furthermore they shall be considered to belong to the majority sapient species. Non-humans are not subject to the laws of Gregoryisgodistan, but nor are they entitled to its full protections, such as those against violent crimes. Different laws apply to committing these acts against animals.

This means all Equestrian States sapients would be considered horses (a broadly defined term including all equines) under Gregoryisgodistan law and therefore are not subject to the laws of Gregoryisgodistan.Fortunately, this means that Apple Pie's teammates will not get in trouble for talking to or about her, as they are all considered equines under Gregoryisgodistan law. However, this would cause significant problems for the public address announcer as well as (human) media. It is worth noting that committing any crime against a horse in Gregoryisgodistan that would result in execution if committed against a human will result in a lifetime of slave labor if committed against a horse, or any creature who is legally considered a horse. This would include all violent crimes such as assault and murder. So the Talking Ponies will be safe as will their teammates. If, on the other hand, they were from a state filled with sapient rats, they would be in big trouble, as anyone who kills a rat and brings its dead body to a local office receives a reward of 55 Greggygodbucks.

But back to Apple Pie. The anonymous source said Gregoryisgodistan would immediately execute any public address announcer, radio announcer, or TV announcer who said Apple Pie's name, provided they were legally defined as human. Additionally, anyone who writes or types her name while in Gregoryisgodistan would face the same penalty. If the criminal is Gregoryisgodistani, their family will also be executed. After the group draw tonight, this could all prove to be moot, but what will happen if the Foot Slaves and Talking Ponies are drawn in the same group? Will death reign when Apple Pie comes here?

Match 2
Luzvimindia 1-1 SJG

The Maynila City International Stadium was filled with spectators in the 1st international friendly match ever held in Luzvimindia. With a total number of 64,311 spectators, this game would decide whether or not the "Selecta" is ready for the World Cup.

The match began at 11:30 PM SJG Time (3:30 am UTC). Right after the Luzvimindian national anthem and SJG Anthem, the few but louldly SJG fans erupted in cheers for nearly two minutes before the marshals and ushers calmed them down.

In the locker room, Coach Miljanic told the team to give it their all and prove to the world that Luzvimindia is a team to watch out for in the 66th World Cup. Along with assistant coaches, They worked out an offensive play, which is an extension of the 3-1-3-3 formation, that would hopefully break the Luzvimindia defense.

In the post-game press conference, Coach Milos Miljanic commended his team for the effort and the defensive stops they managed to do but he said that there was still a lot more to work on heading into the 1st match of the World Cup. Although the team did give the effort for this game, Coach Milos Miljanic thinks that he has seen a better performance and more effort in the previous games they've played in. When asked whether or not the team is 100% prepared for the 66th World Cup, Coach Miljanic said that he doesn't believe any team will be 100% prepared for the games. He only knows that the "Selecta SJG" have worked hard and trained well for this and with just a little more tweaking and training, he is confident that the team will make SJG proud heading into the World Cup.

Final recap of the score 1-1:

59' Lim - 71' Faña

And with that, the 2-game friendly series with SJG comes to a close.

Match 3

German American States 2-3SJG

PLAYER PROFILE:

Death Row Inmate On Parole Until His Team Loses Inmate Number 91488 is a starting forward for Gregoryisgodistan, whose team is nicknamed the Foot Slaves. He is 29 years old and is currently an inmate on death row for owning a bicycle, but because he was a very good soccer player on the national team before being arrested, he was allowed out on parole provided his team performs well. Under terms of the release, he had to comply with all Gregoryisgodistani laws during the term of the deferred sentence. Additionally, the Foot Slaves had to meet one of three goals - either win the Baptism of Fire (which did not happen), qualify for the World Cup proper, or reach the second round of the Cup of Harmony. If Death Row Inmate On Parole Until His Team Loses Inmate Number 91488 meets one of these three goals, he will be released from his sentence and return to life as Bottlemaker LP913838, or assume a new title if he wishes. If none of those goals are met, Death Row Inmate On Parole Until His Team Loses Inmate Number 91488 will be executed along with his family.

Death Row Inmate On Parole Until His Team Loses Inmate Number 91488 is one of the best players on Gregoryisgodistan's team. When the Foot Slaves first formed, they were impressed by Bottlemaker LP913838's performances at tryouts and made him captain. Unfortunately, his ego got the best of him as he bought a bike on the black market and was sentenced to death. Due to finagling by then-coach Coach Slave 884818 (who has been executed since then) the person now known as Death Row Inmate 91488 became Death Row Inmate On Parole Until His Team Loses Inmate Number 91488 and was allowed to play for the team. He did not disappoint, scoring a goal in his second international match, a friendly against German American States in July, to put the Foot Slaves up 1-0, before assisting on a goal to give the team the clincher to make it 2-1. He also scored two goals in the Baptism of Fire, one against Riojasia and one against Bypass814. He has definitely contributed to the team.

Both Death Row Inmate On Parole Until His Team Loses Inmate Number 91488 and his new coach, Coach Slave CAUD87147 hope that the forward will be able to lead his team to a good performance in one of the next two tournaments and annul his sentence. Otherwise, the Foot Slaves will have to find a new forward to lead them.

In a bar somewhere in Milwaukeesburg

Next up is the drawing for Group 16...

The bar was buzzing with the air of excitement. It was just after the normal working shift ended, and people from all over the city were here watching the drawing for World Cup 66. Friends chatted over steins of beer, threw cheese curds and nachos in their mouths, and were having a good time. Then, there were the diehard national team fans, wearing their Baumgartner and Rogalski jerseys, staring intently at the TV hanging above the bar. One of these was Florian Klein. He had been a fan since birth. He remembered watching his first World Cup some time back when the States was not entered. He remembered sitting there with his dad, how his dad complained how "We should enter a team, we have just as much talent as the next guy!". The past two World Cups had been a disappointment, but with the States' improved play of late, and the ties against Felix and Vaugania, Florian had a sliver of hope that they might, just might qualify.

The drawing show came back from a commerical break. Someone shouted out "EVERYBODY SHUT UP!", and they did. Florian sat anxiously on his stool on the bar and muttered "This could be it" to his friend Josef who sat next to him at the bar.

"First nation...The Archregimancy"

"Wow." Josef said next to Florian. "No matter who else, that's going to be a tough group."

"You got that right" muttered Florian as he took a big swig out of his stein.

"Next nation...Qazox."

"Jesus. This group is going to be crazy." said Florian under his breath.

"Next nation in the draw...Falcus."

"Gottverdamt. I hope we don't get placed in this group." Said Josef, taking a swig of his beer.

"And...Rabbitomia"

Josef elbowed the guy sitting next to him. "Hey, I think I know who's getting crushed into the ground in this group."
They enjoyed a good chuckle.

"Almost finished with Group 16. Next to be drawn...German American States."

Suddenly, a silent, heavy, cloak of silent dread descended upon the bar. Nobody moved, nobody spoke. Somebody dropped a glass, shattering all over the floor, but everybody just stared at the TV in disbelief. Nobody heard Haute Savoie being drawn into the last spot, they just stood there. More than several people got up, payed their bills, and left. Florian felt like burying his face in his bowl of cheese curds in front of him.

Suddenly, everybody came back down to earth and threw an onslaught of curses and swear words. They couldn't believe that the States had received such bad luck.

"Well, I guess this won't be our year." Josef said, getting up and paying his bill. "See you later, Florian?"

"Yeah, I guess." Florian said in a barely audible voice. He just sat there.

Josef was right. This wouldn't be their year.

The atmosphere in Britannual Foodstore and Retail Store (SJG) (after the draw for the WC 66)

The people reacted with euphoria and joy, but after some said. "Blyat, Fuck, shit, OMG, that is a serious and difficult group, hopefully we win and God help us.

Then, people pay the bill, withdrew without doing damage and shout "Long live Guayabal" "People who hate SJG, go to the legion of the thousand whores "Viva Guayabal Carajo" Mom of all, "La Selecta SJG" will give cock and beating to that teams, SJG going to win. With faith in God and forth.

Later of that reactions of people, we take the duty to talk with some hooligans about what they think about the group?

-Juan Santamaría: Good group, it is difficult but what characterizes us guayabalenses, we will succeed and "Let's go Selecta".

-Carlos Pereira: Very hard, like a nightmare come true, hopefully we overcome this, it will be hard, very hard.

-James Campbell: "Dale dale Guayabal" we will win, we will win, I assure you.

-Pokiye Resimov: Ay, ay, ay. very hard, because there are two teams ranked in the top 50 at world, but football does not see that, we are only 11 vs 11.

Well, then.
Auburn Close Enough Bywater was ginger.
She was tall, graceful enough to pass for slender, with short straight hair in broad strokes. She had a rather thin, pointy face with keen, mottled green eyes.
After graduating her degree in journalism from Brinemouth University, she was now working as an apprentice for Kurt Callaghan.
Kurt, a cynical and negative sportswriter with a grudgingly respectful reputation for honesty, had given Auburn mixed but largely positive first impressions. Tall, athletic and in his early thirties, Kurt had a lantern jaw, bright hazel eyes and a brusque but persuasive way with words. He'd introduced himself with a firm handshake, a quality the Sideburnese in general respected. He was very casual and breezy in his work, generally went for unnecessary coffee runs for them both while bored, and didn't demand much of Auburn besides proof-reading. He'd hit on her a couple times, granted, but when Auburn politely told him she wasn't interested in him specifically or men broadly, he'd stopped.
It was only yesterday that everything changed. He'd received a letter telling him he was officially part of the Brenecian entourage for these qualifiers.
"This is important shit, Auburn," he said at the time, wringing his hands. "The Observer's gonna fly off the shelves!"
"Am I going to come too?"
"'Course you are," said Kurt, grinning. "What could I do without my faithful lackey? Anyway, you still gotta learn the ropes from a pro."
His tablet pinged, and with alarming zeal Kurt grabbed it.
"The draw's on," he said, breathless. "Auburn, for the love of God, Channel Fourteen, now."
Auburn grabbed the remote and obliged. Kurt was the kind of guy whose orders you listened to, particularly in this state.
The draw came.
Specifically, Group 22.
"And from Pot Two," droned the suit on the stage, "New Sideburn."
"Against Sargossa, eh? Might be doable," said Auburn, appreciatively.
"Brenecia's Pot Four."
"Are you- oh, god, they aren't, are they."
"Pot Three. Felix."
"Think of the headlines," said Kurt, dreamily.
"Yeah but there's still a lot of groups left, I mean, we're talking a one in thirty chance here-"
"Pot Four."
"One in nine, now."
"Whate-"
"SHUT UP."
The suit fumbled the ball.
"JESUS CHRIST!" screamed Kurt. "FUCKING READ THE-"
A nearby suit, nigh-identical to the first, handed over the ball.
"YOU SLOW-CUNTING PISS DRINKER-"
"Christ, Kurt-"
The first suit coughed.
"Say it. Go on. Fucking. Say it, you dumb fucking suit fucker-"
Auburn tugged on his sleeve. "Kurt, ple-"
"Brenecia."
"YES!" roared Kurt. "ARE YOU READY FOR THE FUCKING HEADLINES?"
Auburn flinched. "I... I guess, guv."
"I could fucking kiss you right now."
"Please don't."
"Well, okay, I could kiss the fucking suit."
"Pot Five... Omarios."
Kurt sighed. "Start packing, Auburn."
"What, we're not going to see the rest of the draw?"
"Who cares?" he said, breezily. "We leave tomorrow. Pack light!"
Puppet of Nephara.

Some time ago, I met one of my group mates in a world cup final. The RP line I chose, I really enjoyed writing and had been waiting an opportunity to revive its characters. Now seems as good a time as any.
Original story within this thread

eleven
seven
five
three
two
one ...

one?

no ... no ... that's ...

Suddenly the sunlight breached my eyelids. It was a most curious feeling. Uncomfortable, yet pleasant all the same. How they ached, as each passing ray, or particle tore its way through my pupil before transmuting into an electro-chemical signal and plunging mercilessly into my brain. It told me two awaken and enjoy its nourishing radiation. Bask in it. Be alive.

Out of politeness, I acquiesced.

The light was blinding once I had successfully partitioned the thick layer of ocular crust and finally glimpsed at my surroundings. The length of time since I had first gone two sleep escaped me. This, coupled with the location whence I now lay, multiplied the overall disconcertion of my predicament. What had become of me? Four how long had I been here?

An austere hospital ward with a ghostly calm. Four several seconds I listened but was merely greeted by silence. A deep panic was being nurtured in the pit of my stomach. This was not right. Something was not right that I could not place my finger upon. Gripping tightly at the mattress, I sought to pull myself into a somewhat upright position but I was extremely weak. Maybe an inch or two of elevation was the fruit of my toil before wearily collapsing back two square one.

Fuck

There are times when all the eloquent rhetoric in the world cannot match a simple pejorative obscenity and in truth, I was quite fond of the word 'fuck'. It has a delightful brusqueness when used correctly. Anyway, musings on the Paradystopi language aside, shouting curses did little two alleviate my distress. I closed my eyes and attempt two think, and that was when something odd happened.

Numbers

Hovering and dancing like spectacular insects. Colliding and consuming. I could see numbers and like old friends, I felt warm and safe in their presence. A miniature maelstrom of colours I watched interacting with itself. Fifteen consumed seven and became twenty two which collided with forty seven to become one thousand and thirty four. It was beautiful, oh so beautiful but it couldn't help me. Here I was, with the sun on my face watching a numerical ballet inside my mind. Ebbing and flowing like the blood in ones veins. Then I felt it. My enervated arms tingling, rejuvenating. One thousand and thirty four collided with seven hundred and eighteen, seven hundred and forty two thousand, four hundred and twelve. Yes! Again, I gripped the mattress. The growing strength within my arms was palpable. Pulling with all my newly acquired energy, soon my seemingly inert body sat erect. Gasping, I looked two my withered arms overcome by what had just occurred.

Before long, I was on my feet. Pacing about the room in a hospital smock. Impressed by my own mental fortitude. I counted everything in that room in tribute. Two hundred and forty seven floor tiles, two windows (twelve individual panes of glass, one pane broken), two light fittings (both non-functional), one bed, one chair, one desk, one door (locked). From this point, the counting quickly devolved into a search four a key but none could be found. Why had I been incarcerated here? And by whom? Clutching the handle two the door, I heaved at it but two no avail.

I need two get out of here

No sooner had those words entered my psyche than the peculiar feeling began again. The tingling down my arm. The numbers again were whirling. Suddenly, there was a muted click like a lock being undone. I cautiously tried the door once more. It opened. Outside was vacant corridor, echoing the depressing aesthetic of my room. So who had unlocked the door? Still holding the handle, I tried two revisit the numbers in my head. The ones which had provoked my cell two unseal itself. Visualise. This time, as I held the door ajar I witnessed the lock spring back with no stimulus other than what I was providing.

Fuck ...

This just got interesting.

Team: play with soul and give everything you have, put balls to play with courage and devotion to God and the Country, which characterizes the Guayabalense People.

SJG begins the Qualifiers to WC 66 with optimism and desire to excel and make SJG, a powerhouse of world football.

Our national coach Milos Miljanic, is prepared to meet this challenge:

-Miljanic: Come with all our rivals are prepared, then we will give all out to play, because this project is just beginning and we want to build together and with strong bases, so I asked my players to play with the soul and give everything they have, to put balls to play with courage and grit, which characterizes the Guayabalense.

Meanwhile, Miljanic appointed as captain, Matías Passarelli, defense, of Alianza F.C.

Passarelli takes the challenge very seriously, because it is a regional reference for his talent to defend and lead a team in a big way, and a powerful bulk stealth and agility to air game.

-Passarelli: This challenge is serious, being the captain of my country is very serious, but others are prepared as we will be like the hurricane, and say, Here we are, Rockin' like a hurricane.
(Passarelli is so inspired in that song. Listen it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGVs9F6POUg)

The national squad bravely prepares to face this new challenge, which will mark their lives, it is their second major global competition (First was BoF 53, but to not open include nerves, as the team has received psychological treatment from three months earlier. With this, SJG is preparing to open the way towards the WC 66 at home, with the support of a public that will turn all for the NT (The 180,000 tickets for the game sold out in two hours) and deal with its bustle put pressure on rival (Ilovebenderdotcomland). our team will try to secure the three points at home so start the fight for the only group ticket for the WC 66.

From the Federal District , SJG, informs Juan Perez.

Lulika City News
Interview with Silverian Manager Spencer Cooney

The Lulika City News, in an effort to provide wall to wall coverage of the Silverian Qualification campaign, and in our ongoing effort to remain the nation's #1 source for all news regarding the national team, has become the first media outlet within Silver Beach to gain an all-access interview with the manager, interviewed by press reporter Adam Jackson.

Jackson: What did you think when the Silver Beach Royal Soccer Association offered you this job? Everybody knows how poorly we performed in the last qualification cycle, and considering we didn't even compete to qualify for the 65th edition of the World Cup, nobody has high expectations for this job.

Cooney: I fully knew exactly what I was getting into when I took this job as the manager of the national team of Silver Beach. This is my nation, and this is something that I take pride in doing, serving my country. If I can help us win games in the beautiful game, then so be it. This is a nation of passionate fans and we are a people that loves its teams, so I am very excited for our prospects in this tournament. I am excited to have this opportunity to win games for this country, and I can promise you that we will put it all on the field for 90+ minutes, every game for the entire qualification period.

Jackson: What do you think are Silver Beach's chances of qualification? We got a tough group.

Cooney: I am not here to predict wins or losses. The reason I am here is to bring pride back to Silverian soccer, which has predictably taken a beating since our World Cup 64 qualification embarrassment. We took a beating at the hands of every single team inside our qualification group. However, the teams that are in our group right now are quality teams. We have the number 5 team in soccer with The Holy Empire, and they visit Lulika City for our first home game of this cycle. Every single team in our group is ranked far higher than us, but you can be sure that we will not be intimidated, and that we will rise to the challenge and that we will compete in this tournament.

Jackson: Tell me what you think of the aspects of this team.

Cooney: We have very strong potential coming from this squad. We have a team that is experienced and filled with veterans, along with the youth that is needed to put any team over the top. We have great leadership, starting from Oscar Bestra, our starting midfielder right in the middle, and a true number 10. He is a creator, and he is definitely the leader of this team. The rest of the team takes from his actions, and we have great talent around him, with Christopher Berry, Frank Bloom, etc... All surrounding him and able to put balls into the back of the net for goals. A lot of this tournament is going to be finishing, so we need to make sure that we finish on the opportunities that we get, and that we can convert easy shots into goals. That is how you win soccer games, especially at this level, and that is what we will be looking forward to doing.

Jackson: Do you have a message for any Silverian soccer fans?

Cooney: I urge every single Silverian, no matter where they live, to watch the games! For everybody who came, please turn out in large numbers and hit Justinian I Field during the qualification period. There is nothing more supportive of a home team rather than excellent fan support, and the fan support is expected to be awesome during this qualification campaign. I believe in Silver Beach, and when a nation gets behind a team, special things can happen.

*The rest of the interview can be seen on page 7 of Sports Section C of today's newspaper. Here is the full Silverian schedule for qualification. All home games at Justinian I Field in Lulika City, Silver Beach ranked #343.

He woke up. It was a rainy day. The sky was gray, very gray and filled with clouds. The pervasiveness of those specially bothered him. Gray clouds only reminded him of previous dark times, darker than black to him. He felt a weird sensation, his heart pumped quickly. Probably because of the scenery when he looked out of the window, he remembered. Just when a tear was about to roll down his right cheek, the phone rang. It rang again.

He quickly ran down the stairs, as if wanting to forget it all, or to receive some unreal good news by phone. He picked it up and started the usual greeting.

- Who's there? - he said, trying not to sound too desperate.

- Yurpá, Îllýá speaking. Come over as soon as you can. Hurry up!

- Is that really you? - he replied, perplexed.

- Yes, but come over to where he was... you… know

- He was...? - he replied, with his eyes evidently wet.

- Goddammit, you already know where he was buried. Hurry up I said for fuck's sake.

- Ok, no need for insults. I'll get there as soon as possible.

Without even waiting for a response, he hung up the phone. He quickly ran upstairs, grabbed his keys without changing clothes, and ran to the garage.

Nothing whatsoever was going through his mind. Maybe he was still in a state of shock because of the terrible happenings. He thought of nothing at all. He was in that state of automatic movement people sometimes are when they get distracted. He drove all the way to the graveyard by ignoring as many traffic lights as people dead in Ruland because of gunshots and people dead in the Inevitable Syndicate because of tsunamis. As soon as he got, he started to impulsively smash the ring really hard. He was out of his mind. The guard, who recognized him quickly, opened the door in an instant. He, without asking for permission, quickly ran in and went all the way to where he was meant to go. Maybe he'd be able to see him... for the last time?

Staring at the grave was his brother, the third one after him. Just the day before they had seen each other's faces for the first time. He had met half his family in his father's funeral. The body hadn't been buried yet, however, because the police were still "analyzing". Things weren't ideal. Before he could even speak, his brother spoke.

- Look at it. Tell me if you see something unusual. - he said, as cold as he could sound.

- It? You've gone as far as saying it?

- It's the rotten carcass of what's left of him. I do not recognize a dead body as my father. Forever may he rest.

His brother looked really infuriated. Yurpá had realized, from the moment in which they met, that Îllýá held a grudge against him.

- It was him. At least don't call him an "it".

- Look, I didn't call you because I wanted the exact man that made dad cry entire nights lecture me. Look at "his" body, and tell me if you see something unusual.

- Just tell me. You wanted me to hurry up and now you want me to guess something? Are you serious?

- Fine. - Îllýá said, before taking something out of his father's right pocket. - Look at this.

- A paper?

- Not just a paper, you idiot. It's got something written inside it. You're the only one in the family who can actually read, so I had to call you, God forgive me. I don’t know how dad wrote it, mind you.

- I see. Well, I'll ignore the obvious insult towards me and just read.

Yurpá began reading the letter...

It’s been a long time. I remember. I remember… those past times. Yurpá, Hô, my wife and me. It’s been a long time. Yurpá left us and we never ever saw him again in person. I’m proud, nonetheless. He’ll forever be remembered by everyone. Not everyone can say that. I still wonder how he got there, however. I guess his success makes up for my sadness. Hô left us soon after, God may know what he’s done of him. All I know is I miss him. I’m not saying I don’t love my other sons, it’s just that they’ve always been there for me, and those two haven’t. I somewhat wish I could… go back. Go back… I hope you can all forgive me. And, if Yurpá somehow gets to read this, tell him I forgive him.

With love,
Dad

- I… I… - he managed to stammer, before crashing into tears.

- I’m glad you at least feel bad for what you did. - said his brother, in a condescending way.

- This… this… can’t be the end of it.

- Huh? It’s all there is, I desperately tried to find something else, but there was nothing.

- No. I mean. He must’ve gotten someone to write what he said. And… I think this could indicate… suicide?

- I had… not thought of it like that.

- Well, you now have. We need to find this someone who wrote this for him. He might know something else.

- I’ll do it for you, your plane is leaving tomorrow, you don’t want to miss more matches.

- Shut the fuck up, it was my father as well.

- No, you were a son to him, but he was not a father to you, it seems.

- I’m not entering any arguments over the past, ok? You’ll need my help anyway, I’ve got the money you need for this.

- The money you never gave us?
- I never gave you? Are you kidding? Where do you think your food comes from, dumbass?

- What?

- Ugh, nevermind. Let’s just split and try to find out about this guys, whoever he may be.

- … fine. - ended up saying his brother, visibly angry.

IN THE AIR or
IN THE FIELDS

We were on a plane chartered by the NEFA, bound for Emberton, Krytenia.
Coach Henau stood up, despite the repeated admonishments by the plane's hospitality crew to sit down while the 'Seat Belt' light was still on. Remy ignored them. He was pretty arrogant, but it isn't unique to humans, I've learned. I've met my share of arrogant ponies. Granted, they have more reason to be. Coach got thick into his pep talk.

"...They're ranked 20 in the world, boys!..."

Pony! I will be a Pony, not a 'boy'.

"...So, we got our work cut out for us. I think we can make a decent showing here, though. Just keep on your toes..."

Hooves! I need hooves, Lord help me! Toes just get broken.

"...We watched the videos and know what they're capable, if they keep to their typical strategies, we can maybe do some of our countering plays that we worked on. Just keep it tight, back up defense and be ready to capitalize on any opportunity. Accorzu? Merd! We can do this! Otteni prep-wer! Let's do it!"

"YAAAAAHHHHHH! Fuckin' KILL EM!"
Vuson, who was obviously being sarcastic and a bit beyond his limit, spiked a BB beer can off Wolfie Grosser's head in the next row.

"That's the spirit, Arnie! Um...Now save some of that for the field, eh? No more ale...So, let's get some rest at the hotel and we'll do a quick warm up in the morning before the match."

A few other sentiments were thrown about all in the range of giving it a good try and smiling during our stomping to death letters to their family, with every feeling in-between. Generally though, the guys were in good spirits, or at least going like happy lambs to the slaughter. The Coach finally made his way to his seat, making the flight attendants shut up and focus on other things, like serving more beer.

I sat back, happy to get back to my dreams of trotting across a prairie. I moved to a gallop as I gathered momentum. I hadn't even drifted off yet and I knew I was kicking Erich Siebech's seat with my twitching legs.

"Knock it off, cozzfickin' dick!"

Sleepily, I could just make out Siebech eyeing me from between the seats as my lids drooped.
It didn't phase me, I was with my equine family in the fields.

(Two mysterious shemales freerunning on rooftops)

What's the date?

4th of Nobruary.

Good, there's still time.

Do thou know who we are, ma'am?

No. I do not know who ye are.

Oh, Fric-en hell.

Oh, Frac-en hell.

(Insert banjo riff here)

Back for another year/cycle/eon/dogyear and better than ever.....Ze Fútbol Club!

Fric: It's too windy.

Frac: What's too windy?

Fric: Close the door.

Frac: Alright.

Fric: How have you guys been?

(tumbleweed)

Fric: That's good. How are you, Frac?

Frac: Well, you're wife has a secret lover.

Fric: I bet it's you.

Frac: How much?

Fric: -22 dong.

Frac: You're on.

Fric: Good.

Frac: It was me. Or rather, it is me and always with me. You just lost twenty-two dong.

Fric: I guess it was INEVITABLE!

Frac: Why'd thee bet negative dong anyway?

Fric: I do not know. Anyway, let's move on.

Frac: Lets.

Fric: Well, not like I care, pshh, but who's in our group?

Frac: Tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fric: What?

Frac: I just sang 'Ti'.

Fric: Wha.......Oh.........I get it. You sang 'Ti' because Sangti is in our group.

Frac: A magician never reveals their secrets.

Fric: So ,who else is in the group?

Frac: There's something that Aels me.

Fric: These are easy. Who else?

Frac: Oh, crud. I've got a lazy eye.

Fric: Partially Blind People?

Frac: Thou are good at this. Can you crack this one? Imagine a utopia full of cats?

Fric: Felinetopia.

Frac: Fuck you.

Fric: :O What you say? One hit on the arm for you.

Frac: What for?

Fric: Everytime you say something bad, one hit. Same thing goes for me too.

Frac: Your mum.

Fric: :O Another hit for thee.

(two punches)

Frac: Hm. That wasn't so bad.

Fric: We here at Ze Fútbol Club love our sponsors. So, everybody, suck Dick with Richard's Lollipops and buy Pussy at Pussy Market.

Fric: For this World Cup cycle, we have dumped Cocky Consonants.

Frac: Why is that?

Fric: 'Cos there's a new one. And it's called... What is Filopines?

Frac: But we already know what Filopines is.

Fric: Not our international viewers.

Frac: Look at our audience.

(tumbleweed)

Fric: Nevertheless, we are still showing it.

THE END

30 minutes later...

Frac: What the fuck happened?

(one punch)

Fric: Not sure. What is Filopines? was still shown though, right?

Frac: Yes. Maybe. Yes. No. Actually, it wasn't.

Fric: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Luckily, I have prepared for such an emergency. Footy School!

Footy School
It leaves you with a feeling of nostalgia when you think back to your school days, playing football with your friends and your kind coach leading the way-

Coach: Give me five! I said give me ten! Didn't you hear me? I said, GIVE ME FORTY-TWO!

Player: Why? What did we do? And we're still nine years old!

Coach: I don't give a dee! Just do it!

Player: This is XX43, not XX2!

Coach: Shut up and give sixty-nine as I said previously.

Player: Previously?

Coach: It's a word.

Player: We're still nine.

Coach: Give me six hundred and sixty-six!

Player: He's like a devil.

Coach: What'd'ya say to me?

Player: I don't like you. I quit the team.

Coach: What a Pussy.

PRODUCT PLACEMENT ALERT

Coach: I don't care, Ronaldinho. We don't need you. You have no future in football anyway.

(player leaves)

Principal: How is the training, Mr Popo?

Coach: Everything's going well, Mr Smodo.

Principal: How's it going, Goku?

Goku: Everything's going well, Mr Smodo.

Rest of the team: Everything's going well. MR SMODO.

Coach: As you can see, Mr Smodo, everything's going well.

Principal: Good to see.

Frac: What was that shit?

Eons ago back when the Empire was nothing more than a large collection of individual fiefdoms the people that inhabited Bloumany lived a more simple life, sure there was war , disease and sometimes famine but they went about their day month by month, season by season, year by year. While the majority of these Bloumans never really left their local area and would never have imagined how big Bloumany actually was let alone travelling to see it all they were all connected by one thing; their Gods. The Blouman Gods had been a part of the land well before the Bloumans first moved in from the South and as they spread out, the Gods found this amusing and enjoyed having something to play with to spare them from their monotonous infinite life. The Gods were very pleased that they were now worshipped, that great battles were dedicated to them and pleas from the mortals for the help and wisdom relied on them. To their credit the Gods would occasionally engage in the matters of mortals, ensuring the crops would grow, turning battles to favour a certain side and ensuring that certain people would be able to be proclaimed heroes and remembered for centuries after they had passed. This arrangement carried well for a couple of thousands years, both the people and the Gods remained somewhat content and it seemed as if this would continue forever. Until one day in 321 AD a young priest later known as St Arasnus disembarked on the north shore of Bloumany and began his quest to bring Catholicism to the unwashed pagans of this big land. Over the next 20 years the Gods saw their power diminish over the people as this new religion took swept across the lands and thus in 344 when the last temple was destroyed the Gods decided to leave this world no longer could they stand to be second-rate they would leave the Bloumans to their own devices.

Most but not all left a few decided to stay, those that felt that their influence over affairs could not be diminished and indeed necessary, one that stayed was a Goddess known only as Lady and along with her children they retired to the Patchwork Mountains and rested. It was a good thing that she did stay after all the events about to transpire would not have happened and the two young professional football players meeting in an anonymous forest in the dead of night would have counted for nothing.
You know you've made it on NSG when you have a whole thread created around what you said.

While at the plane, the team were ready to sleep as their flight to Colombian Britannia will last more than 15 hours. However, before they could even start to close their eyes, a broadcast of the semifinals of the Campionato appeared in the screens. They knew that the video were taped, but when they saw the celebrations of the fans after beating Cyborg Holland, they were relieved. The Agilang DIlaw had not a time in which many supporters came into the streets just to see their national team competing and actually achieving something for the nation. They slept with their mind clear of any regrets from that eventful final.

Arrival in Colombian Britannia

When they arrived in Colombian Britannia, they met up with the rest of the team. Jaime and the rest of the other players were there. In fact, there were thirteen other players that will play the Reds and the Blues that will form the core of the Colombian Britannia Team. Then they met the two new bright hopes for the Sangtian team: Elmerei Prudente and Marco Escuro, who ply their trade in Felix. They bonded with the two new players and the two learned many things from the veterans. Their first match was against the Blues at Brigby Road in Port Elizabeth.

Blues 0-2 Sangti (Brigby Road, Colombian Britannia)
The offense really got going for the Agilang Dilaw. From the first half, they were relentless and peppered Mutsuto Kogawa with shots on target, which he parried one after another. However, he cannot hold on to the plethora of attack of the Sangtians and succumbed to a goal in the 36th minute courtesy of Daren Corsiga. A mistake from Re've M7'so'm caused Corsiga to shot the ball in open space to Kogawa's blind spot, and the Sangtians took the lead coming into the half.

The second half was a comeback for the Blues. Josh Parker led the attack for the Blues, however, substitute Marty Balido, who makes his unofficial debut for the Agilang Dilaw, parried his shots with ease. He was up to the task since being brought on to the field at half-time, along with Escuro and Prudente. Escuro put the icing on the cake as he shot a looper that Kogawa cannot catch. 2-0 Sangti.

With the match with the Blues done and dusted, there was one problem. the kits. The Agilang Dilaw expected that the matches against the teams would have not affected their jerseys, however, with the Reds' and Blues' kits clashing with the first kit, they were forced to reuse the second kits for their match with the Reds. Yikes. Fortunately, as it was not an A-team friendly match, names were not ironed into the kits, so the players playing against the Reds can use them. They went into the COLT STADIUM in Colt and faced the Reds this time.

Reds 3-3 Sangti (COLT STADIUM, Colombian Britannia)
It rained goals, literally. The first half was a feisty affair with Steve Thomas opening the scoring after just 36 seconds into the match. The striker caught keeper Alwin Villejo off position, he looped the ball from just close the penalty arch, and the ball went past the keeper for a 1-0 scoreline. The Reds doubled the lead courtesy of the pass and shoot combination of Dexter and Julian O'Hare, which was too fast for Villejo to handle. 2-0 after 30 minutes.

The Agilang Dilaw fought back courtesy of Adrian Magcaleng. The main man of the U21 team struck the ball with fury courtesy of a half volley that did not give Rick Granger any chance to react. 2-1 at the 43rd minute, and the score remained until halftime. They came back with a vigor and pulled the game to level terms, when BJ Uy hit the crossbar in the 57th minute, but Christiann Sanchez pounced on the rebound to score for Sangti.

The Reds however inched ahead again after a brilliant strike from Lance Raymond. The 19-year old made the ball fly towards the goal, and Williard Navarette, who replaced Villejo at halftime, had no chance to reach the ball. 3-2 in the 76th minute. The Reds were cruising to a famous victory; however the Agilang Dilaw had other ideas. Substitute Tristan Isip made a solo effort; from the center circle, he ran with the ball past six defenders and the keeper, getting a poacher's goal in the dying minutes to equalize and save the pride of Sangti and avoid an upset.

After the two matches, Jaime Faltado thanked the FBCB for giving the Agilang Dilaw an opportunity to play an up and coming side in Colombian Britannia. The lads made it way back to the Land of the Yellow Eagles, where they took a rest for one month before their next match.

Some months later, the FA Sangti received an invitation from the Felixian football authorities to face a select team for their World Cup preparation at the Estadio Ferdinand Marcos. This nation is considered to be a rival of Sangti, and the fans wanted retribution as they gave the Agilang Dilaw the worst home loss of the team, 7-1. Jerous Almirante accepted the invitation and faced the A team of Felix.

Sangti 1-0 Felix A (Estadio Ferdinand Marcos, Sangti)
Even if it is only a selection, reporters in Felix expected a 3-1 win for their nation, but Sangti had other ideas. They kept the scoreline clean at halftime, due to the heroics of Gerard Verdad and Luigi Averilla, who stopped the attackers of the opponents and kept the match scoreless for the entire first half.

However, in the second half, Joey Jardinico would not be denied as he struck the ball with fury from 24 meters out to grab the lead, which they did not give up until the end of the game. The lead was in danger in the 88th minute as Andre Bonheur tried a desparation shot to equalize for Felix, but Verdad made a fingertip save to keep the clean sheet, and the game ended 1-0.

The fans were ecstatic. They staged a pitch invasion in which they met with the players of the Agilang Dilaw to celebrate the win. The Sangtian team would rest for months and players returned to their parent clubs to play in the LFS Primera Liga. They would return later for a friendly with San Jose Guayabal held in Estadio de Mil Islas in Nespa.

OOC: I apologize for the two BoF host nations to keep the suspense on Serafino's decision, as I will make a follow-up RP regarding this tomorrow. Some parts of the telegrams were grabbed from the telegrams of the two host nations to me.

Serafino, along with the team, has returned to Alitaba after their elimination at the hands of Crystal Empire in the Baptism of Fire in Astograth. Upon his return, two telegrams were faxed into the KPA office, addressed to him from two clubs from established leagues in the multiverse. With one club coming from United Gordonopia and one club from Astograth), Raffy, his nickname, would like to play football in one of the best leagues in the multiverse.

He read the first telegram:
TO: Serafino Dimaala
FROM: George Holloway
Acquisitions Manager, Fusba United

SUBJECT: Contract offer to play for Fusba United
Congratulations on your performance in the Baptism of Fire!

In recognition of his being named to the BoF XI, we from Fusba United from the Gordonopian Premier League would like to offer you a three-season contract, with option to extend based on performance. You will be guaranteed to start in the eleven, and unless performance drops, you should stay in it. You would play as a centre-back. Fusba United is one of the oldest sides in Gordonopia, though in recent years they have been relatively middle of the pack, aside from a short stint of relegation to the second level.

One of the founding members of the previous top division, the Gordonopia Football Association, Fusba United is a team with considerable history, and previous strength, but not too many impressive performances in the modern league. In the first seasons, the late 1940s and early '50s, of the GFA they were one of the dominant teams and won three of the first ten titles, but soon fell into a decline. In the 1980s (Gordonopian sports time is currently in the 2020s), they experienced a resurgance with strong performances but once again started to lag. By the time of the 'War of Restoration', which occurred in the mid-2000s and put the monarchy back into power, they had become a regularly mid-pack side.

Following the war, and several years of rebuilding, the Gordonopia Premier League was established in 2012 with Fusba as a member. Their first two seasons proved to be their best as they finished in the top half in both and qualified for the post-season Gordonopia Cup. By the end of 2016, though, we had been relegated to the second division, and spent several years there before returning to the top division this past season, in 2022, where we finished middle of the table.

In older history, Fusba United was one of the first clubs in the country, and was formed by the union of the first two football clubs in the major city of Fusba. Because of this we have a large, widespread national fanbase.

We are looking to move up the table once again and perhaps, given that Gordonopia has seven spots, make UICA competition.

We look forward to receiving your response.

"A three year contract? I think this would be a big decision. Let's see the other one." Raffy said.

TO: Serafino Dimaala
FROM: Dei Ormache
President, Gortz United

SUBJECT: Contract offer to play for Gortz United
Good day!

You have attracted our attention when you played for the Alitaban national team in the Baptism of Fire tournament here. We at Gortz United would like to offer you a four-year contract, upon expiry will become a one-year rolling contract. which can be terminated by either party. We expect you to serve as centre-back in a regular defense of four, with preferential status within the squad.

Gortz United have, for most of our history, been a small club on the coast, south of Ituraitz, and played in the Northwest Premier League before the formation of the Football League, where a record runners-up place were obtained while I am playing for this side on loan. We were a founding member of the Astograthian third tier and stayed there for ten years, earning promotion in 644. In 650, we have won promotion. We have remained in the First Division since then; the coming season will be 658. Our current manager is Gito Pizan, former winger from the disappeared nation of Erathore, with a storied playing career at Sporting Iturributa.

We look forward for your response.

"Oh, a four year contract? This is going to be a difficult decision."

He consulted his agent regarding the contract offers, and gave him advices on approaching the situation. Three hours later, after a difficult period of choosing which club to join, he had made his decision. His agent tried to tell him that he would send the telegrams, but Raffy told him he would do it himself. He prepared the telegrams for the two clubs as he makes his big decision.
