Sylestone Domestic Cricket

Scroll down from here until you reach the One-Day final

Sylestone (SYL) Qualifiers

ETFC: New Gloucester Jaguars, Central Sylestone Snakes
LASL: Capital Coyotes, South Sylestone Scorpions
CLT20: Chamberley Giants, Pesfield Wasps

Sylestone (SYL) final site bids

ETFC: Chamberley Cricket Ground, Chamberley. One of the best batting grounds in the nation, the fast, true nature of the CCG makes it a high-scoring ground in One-Dayers. Bowlers may struggle, but their efforts will still often reap rewards as every now and then, cracks will form, creating just a little bit of uncertainty for the batters. Capacity 86,000.
LASL: Capital Stadium, Avondale. With a surface that favours both bat and ball, with spin slightly favoured over pace, this ground is certainly the best and most prestigious in the nation. On the first couple of days, the pitch is usually quite complacent, but in the final couple, it really livens up for the bowlers, particularly the aforementioned spinners. Certainly a good toss to win when playing here. Capacity 100,000.
CLT20: Bolton Oval, Pesfield. Located in the south of the treetop city of Pesfield, Bolton Oval is a rare feature found on the floor of the rainforest. Surrounding by towering trees, the ground almost always has its lights turned on, for only a short period of time each day is the sun not blotted out by the natural environment. A batting paradise, Bolton Oval rarely has anything for the bowlers in it, particularly in shorter formats. Capacity 50,000.
Football: WC94 Qualifiers, CE35&36 semifinalists
Cricket: GCF WT20 XVI champions, ODI WT II semifinalists, GCF WT20 XV semifinalists, EspoT20 I&II champions

Champions' League T20: Mawrystwyth Mustangs, Willowbourne Zenith
Elite Trophy First-Class: Leeshire, Greencaster
List A Super League: West Surbourneshire, Leeshire

Ko-oren (KOR) final site bids
Champions' League T20: Royal Oval, Willowbourne (capacity 40,000)
Home to runners-up Zenith, the biggest ground that is fit for great T20 cricket is in Willowbourne. The slightly higher altitude, higher temperatures, and inland location make for a batting-friendly pitch that's a little more interesting than flat concrete - you still have to watch the conditions and deterioration of the pitch to make something work.

Elite Trophy First-Class: Greencaster Oval, Greencaster (capacity 50,000)
Home of the runners-up, the Greencaster Oval is the pinnacle of Ko-orenite cricket grounds. Not the oldest, but definitely the biggest and the one that offers the best visitor experience, something you'll surely need if you're going to be here for four days. It was also the site of the final of the most recent ODI World Trophy.

List A Super League: Leewardia Oval, Maynard (capacity 31,000)
It's been a few dire years in Leeshire, but the region is back in both formats. Winning the first class trophy and finishing second in the One day competition... this stadium too, is the home of the runners-up of the format. A quaint ground a bit removed from the big cities, its situation puts it on the dry side of the mountains and offers a wide range of conditions.

Brookstation (BRO)Final site Bids
Champions League T20: Ogre Street (cap. 25,000)
Ogre Street has become a well known stadium in Brookstation following the success of home club Ogre Street in the BODL. The Ogre Street Cricket Club is Brookstation's oldest cricket club. What used to be an university field got renovated into a stadium in 1987. The stadium has a capacity of accomodating 25,000. The stadium houses the office of the club, one of the oldest buildings in Brookstation and a matter of cricket heritage. One can visit the small cricket museum housed by the stadium. The pitch favours fast bowling.
Elite Trophy First-Class: Venus Gardens (cap. 8,300)
Located in the less populated city of Scroton, Venus Gardens is a newly constructed stadium. Scroton is a very diverse town with people from all across the multiverse. The serene mountains and calm ambience has converted Scroton into a popular tourist spot. The society of Scroton is an organization that promotes a sense of brotherhood among the Brook citizens and serves people in need. The society of Scroton is often found conducting programmes in the Venus Gardens. Guarding the gates of the Gardens, is a huge bust of Lord Venus herself. The society of Scroton has also taken initiatives to convert the stadium into an environment friendly one and thus a large part of the stadium is powered by solar energy.

Previews - Selpernim T20 Smash, most of league stage and Selpernim T20 Smash, rest of league stage and finals - Kigirimakh-Yndwrnod One Day Trophy - Regions' Trophy

Ko-oren (KOR) qualifiers
Champions' League T20: Greencaster Heralds, Penstead Pirates
Elite Trophy First-Class: Mawryshire, Leeshire
List A Super League: Greencaster, Willowbourne

Ko-oren (KOR) final site bids
Champions' League T20: Greencaster Oval, Greencaster (capacity 50,000)
Home of the champions, the Greencaster Oval is the pinnacle of Ko-orenite cricket grounds. Not the oldest, but definitely the biggest and the one that offers the best visitor experience, something you'll surely need if you're going to be here for four days. It was also the site of the final of the most recent ODI World Trophy.

Elite Trophy First-Class: yBherafon Hills, Llandy (capacity 24,000)
Home of the champions, the yBherafon Hills are a great ground for one day and first class matches. Typically scoring is slow, due to weather and atmospheric influence, but the Mawr have figured out how to prepare the wicket to provide a much more even battle. In home first class matches, Mawryshire often runs with the low-scoring option, but for other matches, including internationals, some batsman have mastered the conditions a bit better. It's a very old-timey ground that harks back to the beginning of Ko-orenite cricket.

Vilitan Cricket Championship :: Season 9

Postby Vilitan League » Mon Sep 18, 2023 7:50 am

Season 9

Twice previously the Jlinal Jolly Birds had been to the Atarashii-Damushuto International Stadium to contest the Champions League Twenty20 Final and both times they had been defeated. The Vilitan Cricket Champions would make another deep run during the 14th Twenty20 Championships but, perhaps as a welcome sign of goodluck, would not be returning to Damukuni for another defeat but would instead by headed to Ogre Street in Brookstation to face off against the Stars Club from Damukuni. In one of the biggest performances in Champions League Twenty20 Final history, the Jolly Birds pumped out 188 runs - a mark the Stars couldn't come close to, and sailed off with their first ever Champions League title. The celebrations were wild and definitely Jolly in Jlinal - a city that had never previously won a top level International Club competition in any sport. The partying would continue well into the new season with every match seeming to be more a focus on last seasons accomplishments than taking care of business in the current season.

As a result, despite being the reigning VIlitan Cricket Champions, the Jlinal Jolly Birds entered the final day of Tiones Lumber Championship competition with a 6-7 record and 2 points off the Marine Coast Tridents and Eelandii Crickets for the final Playoff spot. They were in a decent spot, however, as the Tridents and Crickets would face off on the final day of league play ensuring at least one of them could be within reach for the Jollies. It was real drama as the Jolly Birds handily defeated the Mliona Jackals but having batted second limited their points potential. Done and dusted, the Tridents trailed by over 30 runs heading into the final over but Big Monczi Tigerpa'a came to the rescue hitting the boundary then closing out the defeat by clearing the end wall at the Marine World Cricket Grounds. With that hit, the Tridents had done just enough to secure their spot in the playoffs, 6 runs to the good over 14 games to take the tiebreaker and eliminate the Jolly Birds from post-season contention.

The Tridents would take that momentum into the playoffs taking down the Eelandii Crickets in the Quarter-Final. Against the Yeaddin Bears in the Semi-Final, Marine Coast were at it again but were deep into their lineup needing 11 runs from the final over but fell short ending their dream season run. The Bears would be handily defeated in the Final by the seasons best all around team, the Turoki Isle Titans, who would lift the Vilitan Cricket Championship for the first time in their history, a sweet reward after having lost to the Jolly Birds in the final one season prior.

Tiones Lumber Vilitan Cricket Championship Pld W D L PF PA PD Pts

Champions' League T20: Eelandii Crickets, Mliona Jackals

Vilita (VIL) final site bid:
Champions' League T20: Yeaddin Cricket Club, Yeaddin, Vilita (capacity 43,000)
In the heart of Yeaddin's famous green space sits the Yeaddin Cricket Club. Used as a warmup venue for the 14th Winter Olympic Games, the Cricket Club is home to the Yeaddin Bears Cricket Club and is built in a classical style. Fans will enjoy the view as well as the proximity to the nearby Parra Kala Mountains where some may opt for some rare Tropical Winter Sports activity with the PaKaMo company regularly leveraging artificial snowmaking techniques to keep the winter party going all summer long. The Yeaddin Bears are two-times winner of the Champions League Twenty20, the only club to have lifted the trophy on multiple occasions.
