A Note on Barunian qualifiers: While I understand that 4 teams is normal for entry in to seasogs, entering the full number would compromise more than 50% of the teams in the NRU. I do not feel it right to enter teams in a championship who finish in the lower half of a league, as they have not really earned their place, and could also gain entry having lost more games than they won!
If this is going to be a problem, I can add a fourth team, but I'd prefer not to do it.

The ones here are the results of the inaugural season of the brand new Maramark´s Rugby 15s Superleague. This first year, relegations were not considered. Nevertheless, as of the second season, Maramark´s Rugby 15 competitions will be organized in two tiers: the Superleague, and a second division that will be called the Rugby 15 Promise League.

The Qualifiers for the next RUCT Seasogs from the 36th Season of the Wishton Rugby Union, which also includes clubs from the nations of The Cardwith Islands and Kenega, are:

2020 Commonwealth and Community Championship

Commonwealth and Community Championship Rules

Two table points are awarded per win and one per draw. The bonus points system is not employed.
Teams level on table points are first sorted by wins, then head-to-head points, head-to-head point difference, head-to-head points scored, overall point difference and overall points scored.
The first stage of both leagues are contested in two double round-robin divisions: North and South. The top four in each division advance to the Championship. The top team in each Commonwealth League division wins a berth to the RUCT Seasogs Championship, while the bottom two are relegated to the Community League.
The Championship is contested as a double round-robin, with points from the first stage not carrying over to the Championship. The last two Seasogs berths go to the top two teams in the Commonwealth Championship not already qualified, while the top four teams in the Community Championship are promoted to the Commonwealth League.

A few notes on procedure:
With 56 teams being submitted from 15 leagues (9 of which had previously submitted results), tournament organisers settled for the following solution to the scheduling issues.

The winners of the fifteen leagues received a bye to the group stage. This left forty-one teams. A random fourteen of the bottom ranked teams of this forty-one were sorted by league and randomly paired up to a team from a different league in order to play a qualifying match. The winning seven progressed to the second qualifiers with the remaining teams for a second qualifying match that gave us our final seventeen qualifiers.

For the Group Stage, teams were seeded by rank into four pots, and then randomly drawn, with no two teams from the same league permitted in the same group.

The draw for the Round of Sixteen is drawn randomly so every runner-up played away to a group winner, with no two teams from the same league permitted to play each other. Remaining rounds were drawn randomly.

Also, I've noticed a few signups in the same format as Commerce Heights requests for the UICA tournaments. Whilst I appreciate the effort, if you really want to help me do signups quicker then the best thing to do would be to just list them one after another, each team on a different line, in the order in which they qualified. Without numbers or bullet points. Like how I do in my league submission. It's not a mandatory request but if you really want to help, that's how to be helpful. Do continue to list them at the bottom of your league post in one format or another, though, that's the most important thing. If I miss any signups that don't do at least that, then I won't be held accountable.

From this point onwards, teams will not earn rank according to the stage of the tournament they reach. Instead, they will earn rank according to the number of games they win, with an additional bonus applied according to the stage of the tournament they reach. These ranks will degrade over five seasons, and will be added up to give a team it's rank in the standings for the purposes of seeding.

Additionally, leagues will have the performance of their teams noted and averaged, before being added together to give us an overall coefficient for each league. NOTE: Not for each association.

As shown in the table below, the top ranked leagues will have a guaranteed number of teams in the group stages, with this increasing for the very best scoring leagues. However, I still want to leave my options open in the case of reduced or variable number of teams being submitted, so this is only set as a minimum. Other leagues may still find they have a team directly moved into the group stage, and the top leagues may discover they have more than one/two. Like I say, it depends.

A combination of the team rank and the league rank will then be used in scorination, accurately simulating the situation where a new team qualified from a strong league would realistically be too good to otherwise start with a rank of zero. Think we can all agree that makes little sense. At least for scorination purposes. For seeding, they would still have no individual rank, and thus, no seeding.

Furthermore, in the case of multi-associational leagues that may warrant a larger number of teams qualifying, talk to me about it. I'm increasing the power of my league given its recent expansion, and it will now be submitting six teams, like the Super Sixteen. If you honestly think your multiassocational league deserves to do likewise, TG me. You'll note, however, that despite containing the reigning champion, I'm not increasing the number of teams the Austroslovakian league gets to submit. The basic number of teams submitted by all leagues will remain at 4. Or, less if you'd prefer. 2, if you have a small league that would suit it.

Overall, continue to submit even numbers of teams only. 2, 4, or 6, and please discuss it with me first before simply going off piste and submitting anything other than the usual 4. I'm keen for the ranks to affect only how easy it is for a team to progress to the group stages, not the number of teams a league can submit.

OOC: Well, this has all gone quiet. I guess the fact the provisional cut-off was month ago is fairly moot seeing as it would've had no entries anyway.

The Return of Apoxian Rugby

There has been no form of domestic rugby in Apox for 4 years - since the end of the 17th season of the Super Sixteen. Since then, there have been extended contractual arguments with Licentian clubs, who had been struggling to get fans into stadiums in a country attempting to rebuild itself. Then there were disputes about how rugby in Apox should continue. Would there be a return to the Apox Rugby Ten of 12 seasons ago? Or would there be attempts to fit in greater number of clubs into a new format.

Eventually, two leagues, of equal significance split into the North & Dwile and the South were created, merging the 10 Apoxian Super Sixteen teams with the 8 APL teams and several other invitees. There would be no relegation in this system, and the winner of each league of 12 would play for the overall title at the end of each season, with the top two from each league qualifying for international competition.

After much hype, the pre-season favourites underperformed in the regular season, with the Skaganes Dogs only managing 3rd, while the Paatukar Cats only just made the top six in the penultimate week. Wests Lions, who were also hyped to do well, only just avoided the wooden spoon by defeating wooden spoon favourites West Spaam Otters in the last game of the season. On the other hand, the Taabeka Pandas performed above expectations by taking out the Minor Premiership, with the Nilmenas Seals just off the pace. The final series will see the Pandas and Seals having a week off before the Qualification Match while fierce rivals, the Dogs and Cats will face in the first Elimination Semifinal, Easts Tigers and Lake Galaxy Tigers facing off the in the other.

The Paatukar Cats had a big win over the Skaganes Dogs in the first elimination match, going out 42-20 winners despite the Dogs' home ground advantage, and getting revenge after their 22-all draw in the final match of the season. The Easts Tigers and the Lake Galaxy Wolves, in the other Paatukar vs Skaganes elimination match, saw the away team win again, with the Wolves just holding on to a fast finishing Tigers to win 28-20. These results will see the Cats host the Wolves in the nation's capital, while the Taabeka Pandas will face the Nilmenas Seals to see who gets an automatic berth to the Grand Final.

It was an exciting weekend for Rugby League fans as both matches went down to golden point after no team could be separated after regulation time. In the Qualification Match, Taabeka Panda's centre Aansala Umegella took an intercept and ran 80 metres to score in extra time to send her team to the Grand Final, leaving the Nilmenas Seals ruing their chances. In the other match, the Paatukar Cats continued their march, with five-eighth Quosan Xyrna kicking the field goal in extra time to eliminate the Lake Galaxy Wolves. The Seals will host the Cats down in West Spaam in the Final Qualifier, while the Pandas get another week off, and will host the Grand Final in Taabeka.

The Paatukar Cats remained unbeaten in the final series, confirming their pre-season favouritism by downing the Nilmenas Seals to qualify for the Grand Final. The Seals were disappointed after consecutive losses, especially after losing to the Cats 22 points to none in their last meeting, while the Cats will be hoping to reverse the result of their last match against the Pandas, which they lost
28 to 22.

A high scoring first half saw both teams tied up at 22 points apiece going into half-time, with the minor premiers unable to shake the team that had won three consecutive finals games. But it was a one-sided second half, which saw the Pandas score 28 unanswered points to add the Premiership Trophy to their cabinet, with Cats' Quosan Xyrna scoring and converting the final seconds try as consolation.
