Vladimir Nolakk, 33-year-old former captain of the Somewheristonian national team, has signed for Weegie Premiership side Carlsson Rangers. Manager George McWhirter welcomed the arrival of the left-sided midfielder, known for his high workrate.

Along with veteran Nethertopian defender Guus van Dijk, Carlsson Rangers is the only Weegie Premiership side with foreign players, since Farlandh United, who signed Klosov Marilas in exchange for Harold Bevan a few seasons ago, was relegated last season. There are no rules against the number of foreign players in a Weegie team, since the WFA considers the laws regarding transfer of players enough of a barrier to teams that would ignore domestic player development in favour of importing foreign players.

Some more waggish commentators have suggested that Carlsson Rangers is in danger of becoming an "old footballer's home", considering the ages of Nolakk and van Dijk, who are said to be past their peak.

Arna-Maggra o Wirrenne _ Ursine (female), Clan = Herrchaum; home team = Merlchester Rovers, category = Defender or Midfielder (typically either Centre Back, Centre Half, or the 'Lynchpin' [or 'Defensive Centre'] position -- starting halfway between those other two alternatives -- that many Ursine teams employ...), Football experience = 3 years as a full professional following 5 years in 'Junior League' teams, made her international debut in DBC13 (for which -- Oops! I never actually got around to posting a full roster...) and is a reserve in the Bear-Belles for WC51; age = 21, fur = very light brown with some reddish hints, right-pawed, height = 6'4", build = quite light by Ursine standards, fast on her feet; languages spoken = Verrene, Ursine ('HeartWoods' dialect), and -- with an accent -- English; religion = converted from 'Wookha' to to Greek Orthodox Christianity 2 years ago.
Arna-Maggra is a verrry good player despite her relative inexperience compare to some of the Belles, sometimes seeming to have a sort of "sixth sense" about what's going to happen on the pitch during the next few moments, and -- as noted above -- is quite versatile in terms of position to be played. However her current team has a LOT of talented players, so she doesn't get much playing time and that is why she's looking for employment elsewhere. Off of the pitch, she favours loose skirts and draped scarves in bright (& often contrasting) colours, with more jewellery than is typical for Ursines... her people's equivalent of a 'Gypsy chic' look.
There is a transfer fee expected, but (as is still usual for players from this nation) it's low by 'international' standards.

Belgium FC are happy to meet the requested transfer fee. We look forward to Arna-Maggra joining the club, and to educating the Belgium community about the Ursines and their culture.

Martin Budsaja: An excellent goalkeeper, Martin has made 21 appearances for the national team. He currently plays for Krazaky BK, although he is being pushed out of his place by younger goalkeepers.

Aaron Miles: Aaron's a see-saw kind of a player, in that he could go either up or down. He has the talent and the mentality, but injuries have kept him from really lighting up the UFA Platinum League.

Ernie Milestone: A good player, with 29 international caps, a number that would surely be more but for Kenil Hutsa playing in the same position. Still got plenty of years left in him.

Markus Dortriech: Has spent his entire career playing for Univerbardé, scoring 103 goals in 462 matches. 9 caps, though now retired from international football.

If anyone wants to own a new club in Malak's independent second division, message me in the next hour or so with a name (preferable Russian/Baltic sounding - I'm not too fussy though). You will become the sole owner of that club should I accept the offer, able to progress through the Malak divisions. This can mean that you do absolutely nothing or can go and make a wiki page like ISC Rig, that sort of thing will enable you to gain RP bonuses and will increase your chances of promotion. Doing nothing will likely mean that the club will remain in around the same position. So er, tg me if you're interested.

On a second note, most clubs in Somewhereistonia are generally open to sale (other than foreign owned clubs), if you wish to buy any you can contact me, but for today, just new clubs.
