For those of you who have given me an offer for Junior, I must state that I mis-figured his age. He is 36, not 32. I was behind a World Cup. If this changes your offer, please TG me. Otherwise, I will assume that the offer will still stand. Junior will make his decision in a press conference that will be RP'd on the WC51 thread.

Okay, I'm still working on my World Cup roster so I'll see whether there's anybody who looks suitable for you while I'm finishing it (which should be tomorrow)... I might even be able to find an Orthodox candidate... ;)

That's where you come in.

We're looking for five or six more players from as many different nations to play here. Those players should be younger national team members, or national team candidates from very strong nations.  (Our interest in J-Mac is an exception, for such players are truly rare.) Belgium management are spending sensibly but freely, looking to assemble a powerhouse.

If you want in, tell me why your player would be looked at. Dollar/edison/pound/whatever money figures are of little interest; if they float your boat that's a detail we can work out. The potential for future cooperative roleplay hooks, on the other hand, is of prime interest.

Players are sought for all positions. The only starters that are 100% ironclad at this writing are two midfielders and the keeper, although the other three Dagan signings are quite likely to start as well.

Here are a pair of defenders to be looked at. If your interested, just let me know.

Kimo and Timo form a literal wall in front of the goal. Deceptively quick for their gargantuan size they should present a new challenge for opponents to figure out. Have a penchant for drinking heavy at times. Kimo has fully recovered from gunshots received in Newmanistan during the WC50 qualifiers.

B.C.C. Health Products (slogan "So long. So smooth. So pure.") would like to submit a sponsorship bid for editions 28-31 of the IUCC.

Company profile

B.C.C. Health Products was founded in the 1940s under the name of "Bauer, Carlsen and Cheng". After several name changes, it settled on its present iteration in 1978. Despite being one of the largest companies in Quintessence of Dust - its health products are enjoyed by almost 30% of the population, with its products also a popular family choice, being used by 15% of all schoolchildren - and being listed on the Q-DIX, it has a curiously low international profile, perhaps because Quintessence of Dust's foreign ministry rarely lets on just how many Quodites are regular users of such health products.

In a bid to improve its public image and increase sales overseas in an already competitive market, B.C.C. have developed innovative advertising campaigns emphasising the health benefits of their campaign (including the controversial "Fat people die alone" ad that has been banned more than any other Quodite media article in history), created new brands such as "Lights", "Menthols", and the special "Dino Range" for kids, and is now actively seeking sponsorship of high profile international events so as to foster emerging markets.

To assist in its promotional activities B.C.C. has hired former Quintessence of Dust national team and UICA club Greschmeier player Marina Sundqvist to serve as a spokesperson.

Belgium FC have extended transfer offers to both Kimo and Timo, as well as to 19-year-old winger Alexander Roch from The Weegies club Trans Union United. They are still in negotiation with several other clubs and players, and continue to welcome offers. Belgium are in second in the league table with a third of the season done, behind a scorching-hot Greenville Rovers eleven.

A competing company bid for UICA SBCC 28-31

Image

Company: Tropic Cola
This years profit: £6,212,120
Slogan: 'Time to get fruity!'
Profile: Set up in the early 40's (The year in Toiletdonia is currently 93.) To produce massive scale fruity drinks. They started off with the original Tropic cola which contained 2 grams of paw paw and all the other tropical fruits in the form of 23 E numbers and 100 grams of sugar. They then started to become popular with kids who wanted to get hyper-active fast. By the 50's it had over 100 bottling plants. They aimed the drink at tourists for an 'Authentic Toiletdonian taste' by adding another 20 grams of sugar and 10 more additives. They soon were being sold overseas and it became popular all over the region. Then they released a diet version and the Tropic Zero. The cola reached the 70's and went hippie with the hemp added in for the real taste. It wasn't until the 80's they were stopped and instead they added 30 ml of caffeine. Since then they have looked to market themselves worldwide and that is why then think they can sponsor this event.

Firstly, TakilQuip and Globo Multimedia/Banco Econômico will be sponsors of the Champions’ Cup and Globe Cup for as long as I and Cafundéu continue to run those tournaments.

Secondly, even if you could bid to sponsor the Globe Cup, you would need to submit a logo which could be inserted into the competition logo.

Thirdly, even if you could bid to sponsor the Globe Cup, and had met the criteria to do so, why would you submit such a bid nearly an RL year in advance?

1) Sorry I went to bid for the wrong thing

2) Sorry i don't have a photobuket account.

3) A YEAR! How long between cups?

Okay…
Toiletdonia wrote:2) Sorry i don't have a photobuket account.

So make one, or use some other site, or don’t bid. The requirements for the sponsorship bids for SBCC 21–28 were posted, and any bid that disregards them will not be considered.
Toiletdonia wrote:3) A YEAR! How long between cups?

Usually around 4–5 weeks (there are two per World Cup, one during qualifying and one after the end). Since Globe Cup 20 hasn’t happened yet, Globe Cup 28 will probably be 8–10 months from now.

Alexander Roch of Trams Union United has accepted the contract offer from Belgium FC, and has formally signed for the club. The midfielder, who has 6 caps for his country but was not included in the World Cup 51 squad, said he was hoping to make a considerable impact in The Babbage Islands.

Sure, no reason why not! Belgium is on the island of Daimler, one of the two northernmost of the seven Babbage Islands. Figure on a temperate climate, and we do have inviting woods not far out of town.

Okay, I'm still working on my World Cup roster so I'll see whether there's anybody who looks suitable for you while I'm finishing it (which should be tomorrow)... I might even be able to find an Orthodox candidate... ;)

We look forward to hearing from you.

Arna-Maggra o Wirrenne _ Ursine (female), Clan = Herrchaum; home team = Merlchester Rovers, category = Defender or Midfielder (typically either Centre Back, Centre Half, or the 'Lynchpin' [or 'Defensive Centre'] position -- starting halfway between those other two alternatives -- that many Ursine teams employ...), Football experience = 3 years as a full professional following 5 years in 'Junior League' teams, made her international debut in DBC13 (for which -- Oops! I never actually got around to posting a full roster...) and is a reserve in the Bear-Belles for WC51; age = 21, fur = very light brown with some reddish hints, right-pawed, height = 6'4", build = quite light by Ursine standards, fast on her feet; languages spoken = Verrene, Ursine ('HeartWoods' dialect), and -- with an accent -- English; religion = converted from 'Wookha' to to Greek Orthodox Christianity 2 years ago.
Arna-Maggra is a verrry good player despite her relative inexperience compare to some of the Belles, sometimes seeming to have a sort of "sixth sense" about what's going to happen on the pitch during the next few moments, and -- as noted above -- is quite versatile in terms of position to be played. However her current team has a LOT of talented players, so she doesn't get much playing time and that is why she's looking for employment elsewhere. Off of the pitch, she favours loose skirts and draped scarves in bright (& often contrasting) colours, with more jewellery than is typical for Ursines... her people's equivalent of a 'Gypsy chic' look.
There is a transfer fee expected, but (as is still usual for players from this nation) it's low by 'international' standards.

To the Burchadinger FA:

We have just heard that your association is announcing the availability for transfer of Maximillian Fischer, who accordingly to you is a player of Star Bucharest. We are shocked to read about such a thing, since the player has been a member of the SE Porto Lacruz squad since the previous season, when we bought 100% of the player's rights with the help of CCFM scout Mikklos Irvinz, and signed a contract with the player.

As you have pointed out that the Mr. Fischer you are attempting to negotiate is a member of the National Team and 33 years old, it is certain for us that it is the same football player that has a contract with our team here at Cafundéu, and therefore only Porto Lacruz could negotiate the player, something that doesn't interest us right now since he is a member of our starting line-up, and is on the plans of our coach Elias de Mattar.

We understand that this was probably just a record-keeping mistake, probably done by an interim. So this doesn't affect your relations with the CCFM, which are the best possible. But, as owners of the player's rights, we ask you to remove him from the list given his contract in Cafundéu.

Thanks

I do not make a real habit of reading this thread, but I want to mention that all of my players not already playing overseas are available for international offers. Check out my World Cup roster for more information, and if you want to propose an offer, do so to me in a telegram.
WINNER of the 1st International Basketball Championships, 7th Di Bradini Cup, & the 4th World Lacrosse Championships!
RUNNERUP in Baptism of Fire 30 and World Baseball Classic 10.
HOST of World Bowl 6, International Basketball Championships 6, and Baptism of Iron 6. (Hosting a 6th version of something? Call us.) Also, World Baseball Classic 12 and World Lacrosse Championships 3.
Qualified for World Cups 49-52.

All arrogant, stuck-up, conceded or whatever comments I make in roleplay are always in-character and should not be interpreted as also being the out-of-character attitude of the person controlling the nation. My nation is my attempt to mock people I have to deal with often at work.
