Although it isn't a hard and fast rule, the general idea is the free transfers should be of international-caliber and should be signed to a top-flight organization. The players bio should give you an idea of what they would be looking for in a team/club and, probably most importantly you'll want to sign someone that would start for said organization. Sometimes there can be a dud or two, but there should really be a reason they're wishing to play internationally.Razenthuria wrote:Concerning free transfers - will there quality be good? And are you able to take a free transfer midseason or between UICA cycles?
And by good, I mean having a relative chance of making the Starting 11 in say a lower-strung league such as Liga MX.
Nation not my RL views, etc.

Nephara wrote:The quality of free transfers varies, like all transfers, but as 95X says, they're for top-flight or RPed second-tier sides of stronger nations. You can ascertain their strength by reading their descriptions, and also checking their league and club history - a 32-year old veteran of the Nepharim Premiership is probably going to be a better player than a 32-year old veteran of the Brenecian A-League.

What should I do?
And how to set it up to run in UICA off-season as it looks like I'll barely miss interfering with UICA by the skin of my teeth.

It's difficult to come up with a definitive top 10 of best players in the world - everyone RPs their stats differently, but you'd be looking for players who are on teams who regularly get to the final 4 of the TQCC, and who are presented as the stars of their national teams who again are highly ranked in the KPBs. These players exist, and I'm sure their respective team and nation owners know who they are, but you really need to investigate for that one.

Alternately, you could take advantage of Bonesea's and Schottia's dedication to do the above and compile it into an easily digestible format with their Boldsport Player of the Cycle thingy. It's buried somewhere in their respective newswires, I believe?
