I've only really just noticed this idea. Anybody have an opinion on this ?? A few of us are currently in the main IRC discussing it, but I thought I'd mention it here too, since I know that there's some of you who tend to avoid us weirdos that hang out on there. :P

Does this mean after the UICA cycle? I.e. after the Champions' Cup final? If that's the case then that's when I thought we were planning on running it anyway.

Some Village seems to be implying running one during it. I'd prefer to go for it afterwards, to be quite honest.

If that's more convenient to most, I'm very fine with that as well, but preferably as close as possible after the UICA ends and (if the other party agrees) I would probably retroactively enter them in the UICA games (if the other party disagrees, I could hang up a story about how they already played something international with their previous team, cfr. how players can't compete in Europe with two teams in one season).

This hassle because my seasonal planning kind of is:

OOC planning: Buyan Season I > UICA 50 > Buyan Season II > UICA 51
IC planning:
Year I: Buyan Season I
Year II: UICA 50 during Buyan Season II
Year III: UICA 51 during Buyan Season III

... but I tend to notice that most nations see the UICA period as seperate in the timeline.

The 2015 season of the Buyan competion is over. The links to it all are in the designated post, but the 2016 edition is already knocking on the door... Last year, international transfer showed to be a great addition to the competition and the following foreigners came to Buyan to perform:

Name Nation Team Playing minutes Goals Assists Yellows Reds TotW

Marko Maurer Mytannion Pallstadt 1783/2160 1 1 4 1 5
Manuel Schmidt Germ. AS Viztourzys 3430/3520 1 0 2 0 3
Doran Milosevici Nouv. Ecosse Pallstadt 1316/2160 1 1 6 0 4
Michael Chao Taijan Jottnar 2544/2880 9 8 3 0 5
Felipe Maniche Saint Pauli Bengtsmark 916/2520 6 3 1 1 3
Noel Amundsen Apox Pajukas 2129/2340 7 9 3 0 4

As you can see, the competition is still young and even for players that are seen as moderate in their home nation, it can be a refreshing turn of events. Allow me to refer those interested for exchange to the wrap-up post of this season. Of those listed, the top-eight (IFK Pollmarnang excluded) would be interested in adding international players to their group. A limitation is made on two foreign players per team (for sales of yours), two foreign players per nation (for buying) if Esportivan or exchanged with previously (one otherwise) and the kind question to return players if you buy some. I won't accept all offers on all players, but I'll always try to find a matching type of player for your needs.

Edit: obviously, all those interested are referred to the TG button.

:: Transfer Rumors ::

Kiiarana City are reportedly looking for a starting Goalkeeper to take over the #1 role. Scouts from Kiiarana were reportedly seen during the recent World Cup campaign looking at players such as Storm Enshadilsa of Ko-oren, Shay Jamieson of the Licentian Islas and Takanashi Kiyoko of Mizuyuki. Any players interested in being considered for the position should TG -Vilita- with a portfolio and proposal.

Historic Inland Peaks FC are reportedly looking for either a Goalkeeper/Defender AND either a Midfielder/Forward to join their squad as they fight against relegation during Season 41. While International players are preferred, the Morata Valley based club will entertain all proposals, especially those from current Under-21 players aspiring to one day play for their National side. Any players interested in being considered for the position should TG -Vilita- with a portfolio and proposal.

A few players on the block:

Jory Mickelson-Aged 28-Defender-18 caps
A spate of bad luck appears to have robbed Jory Mickelson of his career just before it was getting good. He is a great defender, a natural selection to the national side and one of the best in Taijan, especially with Chris Nguyen out of the picture, but he was unable to prevent his side, the Johnstown United for whom he'd started since he was nineteen, from being relegated, and for his trouble was released from his contract. Currently playing his heart out in the Campionato Esportiva, but when the final whistle blows he will have no team, and so can be picked up at a relative bargain.

Elior Schneider-Aged 22-Striker-11 caps
A typical "bad-boy" type player, Elior Schneider is a phenomenal talent with a superiority complex to match. Dissatisfied with playing second fiddle to the venerable Kifazgol at his hometown FC Nova Tunis, Schneider is looking to take his talents abroad now that doing so will not interfere with his playing for the national team, where he has recently been selected to start ahead of the legendary Nuno Brotz. He was also a standout on the Beach Cup IX team which took third place, and in international domestic matches with FC Nova Tunis.

The Vennskap shield is my season-opener, ICly with proceeds going to charity. Played between my league winners and my cup winners (or league runners-up in the case of a double winning season), it is also ICly played on foreign shores.

So far, Bleak Rock, Astograth, Free South Califas, and Iturributa have played host to the match, with the idea being a bit of money raised for local charities, a bit of money coming in from the Polarian fans who'll travel, and a bit of excitement on the pitch that directly exposes Divisjon One football to a new audience and gets more money and better deal on TV rights. It's a win-win scenario. Plus, you get to see your nation talked about by another user in an RP. And that's always nice.

I have plenty of puppets able to sustain a few more cycles without outside input, but if any nations out there would like to have my teams visit your nation, send me a TG with the following information:
Picture of the stadium (or, indicate that you're happy for me to pick a suitable image on your behalf)
Name of the stadium.
Location of the stadium.
Basic information about the city being played in (teams that play there, population, location, weather, things to do there, etc)

All are essential.

I will save the information and let you know if I'm going to use it. I won't tell you when I'm going to use it, but I won't ask again for more input and new locations to play in until I've worked my way through all of the list.

I can now announce that the Cygnus Cup has been officially handed over to me starting from this upcoming UICA cycle. It will retain the main principles it held under the control of Krytenia, Aels/Liventia, and Wight [i.e. two-legged knockout competition with final played at neutral ground, only domestic cup (not Super Cup) winners get in, defending champion gets automatic qualification, etc...].

And for this next edition (the 26th), there will be no additional changes to the guidelines for entry set by Wight after the end of the last Cygnus Cup, which means there will be no need to update previously submitted entries unless you don't meet those entry criteria. Final site bids are also encouraged, with relevant IC information, of course.

I'd like to know an easy/fast way to create a realistic league table (this is, with the correct amounts of wins, draws and loses per team, so those totals respect the final number of matches that were played). I could just simulate every match but it'd take a long time, and I (sadly) don't have all the day to do it. I just don't want to put random numbers that won't sum correctly. It's one of those little details that I want to get right :) Anyone here could tell me how do yo do your league tables please?

You could use either NSFS or xkoranate. If you're using the first one, the program will decide your league's results. If you've got your results already decided somehow, then xkoranate's table generator is the way to go. xkoranate can also be used as a scorinator, though.

Welcome to NS Sports Beaumont Islands, you can first start off by scorinating your own football league and posting your results at International Domestic Soccer Newswire or maybe your own domestic sports thread where all your results and tables are held at. The International Domestic Soccer Discussion thread (which is this thread) is a place where you can post players for sale or which players your clubs are in need of and is a thread that deals with any soccer matters. And of course you can join the NS Sports community in this.

Long lost cousin, maybe. Same about the thread, though.

Also worth noting that Maridan sounds a lot like Mardi, your capital city.

Yeah, huge coincidence! The guy popped up at IRC yesterday when I was around, though. Pretty nice guy.
