Could there be another transfer window during the UICA? ('cause that seems, for me, the moment between seasons)

I'll be on from about 10 o'clock tonight; there are quite a few Licentian players who could be sold, so watch out.

Also, I am going to write a Google Doc, editable by anyone, to which I'd quite like everybody to add transfers completed on the night to, so we can see how many transfers have been made. Once I'm done creating it, I'll add it here, and to the topic of the IRC.

Here is the document; please only add players who are transferred in the four-hour window, as this is mainly being done so we can see how much interest there is in an event like this.

EDIT: I totally didn't forget to put the document in my post...

If you are looking to join us for our deadline day tonight, or even just watch the shenanigans unfold for the next four hours, we'll be starting in just over ten minutes.

Is the deadline day solely for soccer/association football or will it apply to other sports too?

Also, can post the link to the chat?

It's on esper.net, at #nstransfers

I'm sure you could do it for other sports, but it is mainly intended for football.

Mangolana would like to announce that these three players are all up for transfers.

Midfielder: Allen Fuller (29yrs old), Previous Club: Guard FC, Darmen: Younger Brother to Mangolana Star and national team captain JD Fuller. Has a great indirect Free-Kick and corner. Is a starter in the central midfield with the National team, but he can also play as a competent Left Midfielder and Left Winger. Looking to move into a league that is ranked in top 20 of UICA coefficients. Will accept a 3-4 season deal.

Forward: Gregory Nena (27yrs old), Previous Club: Scott City FC, Darmen: A first team striker for the last 5 World Cups for Mangolana, excels at both Attacking Midfielder and Forward. Has played for both the Rogerton Whitecaps and Scott City FC while also honing his early skills with Mangolana squad Skyline United. He has though recently been benched on the national team for his lack of work ethic in practice. 4 season deal within a top 20 UICA league and with a team with a shot at Globe Cup qualification.

Forward: Antonio Ventere (26yrs old), Previous Club: Skyline United, Mangolana: Has played with the Mangolana national team for the last three World Cups but has just recently been promoted to starter over Gregory Nena. Has spent his whole career with Skyline United as has finally decided to look for a new challange some where else in the world. Would like to be with a mid table club for the next 4 seasons.

Right, our first Deadline Event is done, and all-in-all, I believe it was a very successful night. We all had a lot of fun; so thank you to everyone who showed up at one point in the night.

Overall, by my count, 99 transfers were made officially in the channel over the four hours, the largest of which was Aitor Rekalde's move from Royal Rumiatzi to Jauneport Sportif, for a total of £45 million. I haven't got time tonight to make separate counts for each nation; however, the document is below for those who wish to make their own stats.

Again, thank you so much; it's been a great night :)

The top 3 transfers in order of largest transfer fee were.....

1. Aitor Rekalde (ASG) from Royal Rumiatzi (ASG) to Jauneport Sportif (NSI) $45 million.
2. Ibai Kiriano (ASG) from Ituraitz FC (ASG) to Atletik Thessia (MYT) $35 million.
3. Matija Trgocevic (MYT) from Atletik Thessia (MYT) to Real Ile Perrot (SIC) $26 million.

Adding to what the others said, was certainly great fun, with a lot of player movement. Hopefully the next one will be just as good!

I only want to see in his history, an inspiration to RP, I'll never copy nothing of him.

For those who saw the issue of moderation, I want to clarify:

1 - I've never thought of founding this nation and make it a new story

2 - I do not want to create again a nation of such history and importance.

3 - I was just looking to see and understand the methodology of the executed RPing by Cafundéu.

4 - From the above I mean RPing modify my structure and adapt to a more effective method, without copying anything from what Cafundéu did before.

5 - SJG continue with his story, because from my personal perspective, I hate copying the effort of the people.

Through this, I seek to clarify what happened and say that the history of SJG and Cafundéu will not be imitated or superseded by me, to avoid problems and disrespect with the fraternal community of NSSports.

I hope everything is clear and SJG will never imitate the history of any nation .

To whom it may concern,

As you may or may not know, within the last few days Sirius Hope; manager of the national squad of Paradystopia has announced he will be stepping down from his post. In his official statement, Mr Hope said that the move is nothing to do with the team or any of the other managerial staff but that he wishes to forge a career for himself as a manager in his own right. After a catastrophic injury in the Paradisian Cup ended Mr. Hope's career as a defender, he slowly adapted to being part of the team from the sidelines slowly escalating his way to manager after the departure of Marina Hayduff to the Gwinerva Barbarians of Apox. He went on to state that he feels that now is the best time to make this transition and leave the squad on a high note but with enough time for them to adjust to new leadership. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.

So, it falls to the Football Association of Paradystopia (FAP) to hereby invite all managers with the necessary credentials to state any interests they may have in managing the Paradystopi national team.

What we are looking for:
- Experience in top-level football.
This could be on a national stage or within the upper echelons of domestic leagues/UICA tournaments. Being within the top 50 national teams and the last two cycles only narrowly missing out on qualification to the World Cup finals, we feel this a reasonable demand.
- New ideas
The national team has remained static in its approach for too long a period of time we feel so we'll be looking for an inventive personality with bold ideas. If this means playing with a +5 or -5 style modifier, so be it.

Any managers wishing to apply should contact Paradystopia by telegram with a short CV/backstory/personal description.

Thank you
Ok, so there's the IC side of things. Here's the OOC bit. Basically I'm looking for an interesting character to become part of my national football squad, that is, an interesting character I can justifiably have as part of my squad. Keith the bank clerk with a passion for transvestism may very well be the sort of oddball I enjoy RPing with but unless there's some damn good IC reason I can offer him the job, it's a no.

I'll leave applications open for either a week or so or until I receive a viable number of applicants, whichever comes first. Feel free to just TG a statement of intent if you haven't the IC info to hand.
