With UICA entering the knockout stages, we're in the final stretch of the TW, which slams shut within 24 hours of the CC Final being scored. If you've put up players at the start of the window and forgotten about them, now's definitely the time to check on them! Or if you'd forgotten about the window generally, there's still 317 transfer listed players, and another 188 free agents, for sale - it's not too late!

But I am happy I got a lot of matches out having teams in every comp.

Oh damn, I had completely forgot about the transfer window! Well, now that I remember: if I am interested in someone's player or decided whether to accept/deny their offer, do I just put that in the transfer sheet or is it customary to also send them a TG?

EDIT: also, is there a system for offering the player contract terms as well, or do I simply choose the club where I'd like to see my player move to and note that they accepted this bid on the transfer sheet? Or asked differently, in between the club accepting the bid and the player making the decision, does the bidding club do anything?

Yep, all you need to do is accept the bid on the Bids tab and then copy the row over to the Transfers tab. Although you may send a telegram if you wish to discuss moves further.

Contract terms aren’t really a thing that’s typically touched aside from the transfer fee, though you are welcome to RP such details with your transfer partner if you wish.

In short, no, there’s nothing else you have to do besides simply use the spreadsheet.

Thanks, will look at it once home then :) If there are no contract terms usually, do players just leave their new club again whenever the nation of the player and/or the nation of the team wants to?

Basically, although good etiquette is to discuss this with the player's/team's user first.
EDIT: Personally, I assign all players in my leagues contracts (including foreigners) and when those run out, I try to ask the player's owner whether they're fine to carry on at that club or if they want to move on.

Effectively yes, but in reality, I'd say this depends.

Personally, my angle is that, once I accept a transfer for one of my players to go overseas, it's effectively up to that nation what they do with them. I appreciate a heads up TG or check in from time to time, of course, but I don't have any real expectations in about 90% of cases. If I *do* have a specific plan, I'll probably tell you up front, or TG you when it becomes relevant. So I suggest just talking to people about it and seeing how it goes if you're not sure.

As an example, I mentioned to Neph about possibly bringing Roque Acosta back to Osarius as a coach a few cycles ago, and it (fortunately) coincided with the approximate timing of when Neph planned to retire him anyway. The reverse of that would be (again, with Neph, lol) Hastmead sending Elaine Ashdown back to her hometown club for her final season, even though she'd just won player of the year in Osarius a couple years beforehand.

Collaborative narratives are the heart of pretty much everything in NS Sports, and domestic leagues are really just an extension of the collaborative world building and roleplay that constitutes everything we do here. So... just talk it out if you're not sure :)

Hi!

I may be too late, but is it ok if I grab some of the free transfer players for my new league? I'm compiling a thread now, and some foreigners would brighten it up a bit.

Thanks!

Please do! Those players are there for the taking. Free agents finding homes means less work for their owners in sorting them out after the transfer window.

I'll look forward to seeing your thread :) As a side note, is your nation by any chance based on Charlotte, North Carolina? I live in the city.

Again, I hope it isn't too late but would someone want to send some free agents to the first addition of the Emperor's Championship? Anyone helps!

And thanks to you for your work!

EDIT--it's a good thing Valanora's Hondo FC came away with some hardware, seeing as how they bought up everyone in sight

Also, the free agent crop seems to be pretty well picked over.

The fantastic WCC cycle I've been lucky enough to enjoy has bled over to UICA; I'm really happy about that. Qusma teams reached the group stage of every UICA tournament, the knockouts of every senior UICA tournament, & the quarterfinals of both the Series B Champions' Cup & The Champions' Cup. It's been an absolutely fantastic ride, & I've really enjoyed seeing how things have come along. As it turned out, KF Qastyr was knocked out of the Champions' Cup by the eventual champions; while, of course, I would have loved to have seen Qastyr go all the way, EFL was truly a deserving champion, & I have to congratulate them. Kidding aside, I was just hoping to reach one group stage, & I was elated to see so many of my clubs still in play at that point (though I fully expected to get curbstomped while I was there); I'm over the moon about doing as well as I did. Thank you to Commerce Heights for running this amazing, & amazingly laborious, tournament, & for doing so for so long, & thank you to all those who RPed this cycle for helping contribute to this wonderful community of people united by an (admittedly relatively bizarre) common interest & common passion.

I wasn't able to get to the spreadsheet yesterday because of reasons, but here are the two outstanding transfers which I consider to have been completed, if the bidding team has not withdrawn.

Colm Ó Tuathail (M L) Wynleth Flyers to Oldem Knights [APX] USD 4m
Cory Greenwood (M C) Metropolitan FC to Ulsa Rovers [EUR] USD 2m

THE CENTRE FOR EXCELLENCE

The upcoming fifth season of the Centre For Excellence has seen the youth system re-expand to two teams, with a Mercedinian branch opening and a strong influx of youngsters hoping that this will be their chance to fast track their way to the top of the game with some big clubs.

As usual, any Apoxian/Mareibatian players can be transferred elsewhere, just TG me or find me on Discord if interested. For other nations players, you'll need to sort that out with the nation in question, but if any transfers are made, TG me and I will update the roster. Additionally, if you have any players you'd like to send to the Centre for Excellence, TG me or hit me up on Discord and I can add them to the rosters. Also not ruling out the possibility of further expansion in future seasons!

I am starting my Third Asopian Primër Lërge with 12 trams and some do not have a manager. These trams require a manager:
Dhigho Qkimb United
Aidoh City
Domintien Town
Dunewell
If you are interested, TG me with your manager's name, age, experience and former teams played for/managed(if any).
Just another of the thousand of questions im going to ask. I currently have 12 teams, while my country has 14 states. I feel 12 teams isn't enough, so I want to do a two-time expansion, which will be something like the Mls expansion. Is it okay? And can I create a thread apart from the newswire just for this? Thanks in advance.

Bored of having to see Juventus winning the Schudetto too many times? Can wait to see that match where Ronaldo didn’t shoot at all? Tired of seeing Napoli fight for first place when there’s no point? Oh boy, you’ve found a new friend.

I got Theo Theodoridis as my flag model. Showing my love for Greece!

Yes, of course. It's your nation & your league - you get to set all the particularities you'd like to, & the size of your league can certainly be included in that. Expansion could be a good RP angle if you do it right.

I agree here! I expanded my league after my first season from 16 to 20. And expansion is certainly a fascinating RP angle to read about(even if I didn't make much of a big deal out of it).

Changing your league is not a bad thing- most people's leagues now don't look like they did when they started. Same is true, of course, of most RL top flight leagues(EPL, MLS, etc...) As long as you explain the changes so everyone understands what you're doing, just do what you want to do :)

A question, in the eyes of the world I am considering restricting my league to add an American-style knockouts tournament at the end of the league, would this be considered a step back in terms of footballing or a step forward in the world’s eyes? And included would the regular season champion or the knockout champion go to UICA Champions Cup?
