Similar to what Camwood said; I was planning on resuming scorination of the Allamunnic Hockey League, and if anyone was willing to send players from their country to try and make a name for themselves, it might help make things a little more interesting.

You're not S.O.L. Not yet, at least. It depends on what you want. If you're more interested in club-level hockey, you may want to check out the Hockey Domestic Newswire.

On the other hand, if you want international (a-la-World Cup)-style play, you'll probably want to give a looksie at the sign-up thread for the 18th World Cup of Hockey. Sign-ups are still open, by the way.

Thanks for your confidence in me to host this tournament.
I plan to have the Everything Thread up within 48 hours; that being said, here are some preliminary steps:

1. I will close the signups at 8:00 P.M. PDT, April 26th, 2012.
2. After that, I will make sure that all the signup nations have not CTE'd, and that all puppets are of nations that have entered this tournament before.
3. The Everything Thread will be posted by, at the latest, 8:00 P.M., PDT, April 27th, 2012.
4. Two days will be given to post Rosters and beginning RPs. A schedule will be laid out in the OP, and the first reply post will be reserved for venue information.
5. A draw will be held at a later specified time on IRC if anyone is interested.
6. The tournament, therefore will start on Sunday evening at the specified cutoff time of the bid.

If anyone wishes to do friendlies, please send me a TG stating who you are playing and where. Just one TG per match will be fine; I will trust that you have cleared it with your opponent. Friendlies will be scored on Saturday at the normal cutoff time (8 PM PDT). If there are no friendlies, no big deal. Just an opportunity.

I believe so. You don't see it used very often, one way or another, but yeah, I think it's ridiculous (or, in less-extreme cases, merely improbable) things that lead to scores; making the other team score a goal against themselves, using a slingshot, some debris landing on the ice knocking the puck into the net, etc.
