Maklohi Vai advanced to the round of 16 today due to the loss by Cyborg Holland. The team is reportedly in high spirits, but as the media does not have direct access, this cannot be confirmed. The Vaian team has been working off of a steady diet of good passing and tight defense, allowing only 7 shot attempts in their 4 games. Observers have praised the team for their mentality, but also questioned whether they truly have the skills to succeed. Says Amo Pailomanakai, "I don't know whether they have the skills to stay with the big boys. We don't exactly have a team that is very large or very fast, so we have to execute our strategy to perfection. If we can do that against Western Borderlands, I think we have a good chance."
"For the glory of our people, we govern our nation freely. For the glory of Polynesia, we help and strengthen our friends. For the glory of the earth, we do not destroy what it has bestowed upon us."

Faorono had to see how Bustos got dribbled by an opponent. This player would then curl the shot to his left. Forono guessed it, but it was too precise to stop. The ball hit the connection between the crossbar and the post and entered. It had been a beautiful goal and, with twenty six minutes in the clock, Dimetrija was winning.

Thorirsson was going to take the free kick. It was the chance to equalize. They wouldn't get a better free kick, and probably not a penalty kick. He looked at the barrier, they all seemed to fear his way of fulminating the ball. He was a bit nervous, but he overcame that and shot as strong as he could directly towards the barrier. As scared as the barrier was, a hole opened just where the ball was heading. The strong shot went through and the goalkeeper couldn't even see it before it hit the net. Thorirsson had equalized on the eighty-second minute.

Mata looked up, he saw D'cruze entering the box. It was the 115th minute and things were bound to the shoot-out, or at least that was what it seemed like. Mata then sent a through ball that passed between three Dimetrikans and ended up in D'cruze's feet. It was almost impossible to complete such a complicated pass, but Mata had done it. Before receiving the ball, D'cruze saw Maörö running behind him and one-touch heeled the ball to him. Maörö, who was all alone, chipped the ball at two meters from goal, giving Farfadillis the lead and the ticket for the quarter-finals. The not-so-small crowd at the I7'snerra bursted in shouts, cheering. After that, Farfadillis won the game easily as Dimetrija couldn't react to the goal.

"Yes! we are still in! alright...we need to prepare extra hard for this" The coach said

"When are we playing boring paradise?"

"Soon I hope...soon"

The kids still looked at the boring paradise logo with hatred. They didn't take losses lightly...and they are ready to play this time.
Then they started to get fired up...with a little chant they came up with.

"Who are we!"

"Stars!"

"What do we do all day everyday?"

"Win!"

"Do we accept anything less than that?"

"NO WE DO NOT!"

"who are we?"

"STARS!"

"Who?!"

"STARS!"

"Alright lets get ready for the next game alright... Do some laps and practice your shooting...I want to see good shots next time alright."

The kids proceded to practice they wanted to win and they wanted to prove to everybody that Western Borderlands is nothing to mess with.

Slembanan team update

Since we last updated you on how we had been doing at the U-15 World Championship (which was after the 4-1 defeat of Kingdom of Phoenixia), we have played to more matches in the tournament. We won both without scoring.

The first of these games was against Swyftlandre, a game which was our final game in the tournament's group stage. We won 1-0, thanks to an Ashley Vale penalty in the 36th minute, awarded after Vale himself had been brought down in the penalty area. This was Vale's 3rd successive scored penalty in 2 games. As a result of this win, we moved into the tournament's round of 16.

Our tie in the round of 16 was against Darmen. We won 3-0. Ashley Vale kept up his great form in the tournament by bagging two goals, a header in the 12th minute, and a free-kick in the 86th minute. Our other goal was scored by John Hiscox, who volleyed home from 25 yards in the 52nd minute. We will face Westros in the quarter-finals. A win is hopeful, but the Westros players will be up for it too. Our prediction is Westros 1, Slembana 2.

Our scorers in the tournament so far:
John Hiscox - 4
Ashley Vale - 7
Afra Bird Jones - 1

(OOC: This is posted on the Slembanan FA's website (www.slembananfa.slm) after Slembana's match against Darmen in the Under-15 World Championship.)

Cyborg Holland 1-6 Boring Paradise @ Jardin Norte, kicked-off 13:00 (AOTC -0200)

4 Cyborg Holland 4 1 1 2 4 15 −11 4
5 Kirchland 4 0 1 3 1 4 −3 1

This match was just a certain win for the 12 year old children. Winning 6-1 against Cyborg Holland was just a training match for the Knock-out Stages. Before the match began it was a very close match between us and Western Borderlines, as we were fighting for the winners spot. The match was at Jardin Norte with the kick-off time of 13:00.

The start was a good match, Elia ter Aven did not stand a chance against the power and might of Raiyaan Malik and Sameer Jaklim. Both of them scoring a hat-trick in the first half. Soon the Cyborg Holland team tried their best and score a goal by Vili Joosten.

The First was Goal by Raiyaan Malik. The goal came by a penalty which was for a handball by Geir van Steop. He was sent off. The 12 year old boy put the goal in the top-right of the net. The Goalie couldn't reach the ball. The second goal by Raiyaan Malik was then scored straight away after the kick-off. He had the ball and kept it until the end with a goal. Cyborg Holland's formation was not a good strategy to play in these times. In the 40th minute, he had stroke again with the absolute mayhem. He was crowed around the half-way line, until he lobbed it into the net. The goalie was shocked on what happened.

Sameer Jaklim had his time to shine in the second half. On the 67th minute he scored with the ball coming from Raiyaan Malik. He was then accused of being offside. The ref said that it was on-line and he could make it 4-0. Straight after the kick-off, Sameer Jaklim was playing a game of pass the ball with Raiyaan Malik. He then continued with the ball and into the net. On the last couple of seconds he had scored, the ball was in mid-flight when, he header the ball it was then replaced by a severed head. The goal was a amazing and weird goal.

Boring Paradise 6-2 Northern Sunrise Islands @ Farf Fragar Firschendujmal I7'snerra, kick-off 22:00 (AOTC -0200)

With the Group Stages all over and done with, Boring Paradise will be known for there 12 year old players who have dominated the rest of the teams so far. With the 6-1 victory over Cyborg Holland two days ago was a comfortable match to play. This time we were up against NSI in the Round of Sixteen. We were playing at Farf Fragar Firschendujmal I7'snerra with the kick-off at 22:00. It was precisely 2 days and 9 hours since the last kick-off happened for Boring Paradise. Winning 6-2 against Northern Sunrise Island as another piece of training for the Quarter-Final.

The same as last match Raiyaan Malik and Sameer Jaklim have scored another hat-trick in this tournament. Having 12 goals in just two matches, that is just mayhem for the opponents. Raiyaan Malik on the 19th minute scored a gaol which was perfectly executed by Hishaam Ali. The goal was then made in couple of seconds. On the 25th minute and 29th minute, Eddie Waters scored two goals. They were then leading 2-1. This was just Boring Paradise playing easy on the NSI players. But they took it to far, and our team were angry.

On the 37th Minute, Sameer Jaklim came up to equalize with the opponents, soon the match was stopped for half-time. Raiyaan Malik on the 49th Minute came with the goal that none of the fans could believe. The Ball was coming towards the opposition. When they were about to score, one of the NSI players came and gave a clear run with the ball to Raiyaan Malik. It was a certain goal for us. 3-2 was the score until he came again in the box and scored a goal. They weren't finished there, Two more goals by Sameer Jaklim made the score for the match 6-2.

Next Match: Boring Paradise - Sicoutimont @ Farf Fragar Firschendujmal I7'snerra, kick-off 23:00 (AOTC -0200)

Boring Paradise 2 -0 Sicoutimont @ Farf Fragar Firschendujmal I7'snerra, kick-off 23:00 (AOTC -0200)

Before the match started we were against NSI in the Round of 16. The win was another walk over for the our national U-15 Squad. With our new strips made by the NSI might work for this match against Sicoutimont at the same stadium, Farf Fragar Firschendujmal I7'snerra and with the kick-off time at 23:00. This match was an amazing match for Boring Paradise's fans to watch.

With only two goals in the game, it was still filled up with highlights. Starting with the team that has scored twelve goals in the last two matches and only three goals conceded. The match did start for us well and our game was the start for all fans to really support the teams. Raiyaan Malik was the goal scorer for all of Boring Paradise. Playing in the national team as well, he has proven a lot recently why he is the controller of the match.

On the 13th minute, came the reason why he is boss. The ball was in the half-way line. Then came Raiyaan Malik with the ball dribbling towards the Goalie, Adrian Pouliot. He was bloked by the defenders soon after. Raiyaan Malik was stuck, then came Sameer Jaklim coming from behind him. The ball was then passed to Sameer Jaklim. Then ran Raiyaan Malik, away into a free spot for a chance of a a goal. The pass was well made and it was a well taken opportunity for the team and it was 1-0 to Boring Paradise.

In the 89th minute, after a long time came another goal by Raiyaan Malik. With the ball going to the opponents side. Branton Koburn came close to scoring. Then Osama Homewood saved it and, Raiyaan Malik came from nowhere. The goalie passed the ball to Raiyaan Malik. He then ran from his side of pitch to the opponents box. Then where there were no defenders he scored to make the match certain.

Next Match: Slembana - Boring Paradise @ Farf Fragar Firschendujmal I7'snerra, kick-off 22:00 (AOTC -0200)

Slembanan team update

We have just beaten Westros 4-2 in the quarter-finals of the Under-15 World Championship, meaning we move into the tournament's semi-finals. Having started the tournament awfully, we now have a great chance of winning it.

Despite the win, we were 2-0 down to Westros at half-time. Luis Carter gave Westros the lead in the 15th minute with a volley. Then, 25 minutes later, Frank Devetz, Westros' centre midfielder headed past our goalkeeper, John Bunyan, with the Westros players catching us out on the counter-attack. However, in stoppage time in the end of the half, Lucas Dawn (Westros' right-back) was sent off for a dangerous tackle on Afra Bird Jones, our attacking midfielder.

The comeback started in the 54th minute, when Ashley Vale, our star striker, smashed past Westros goalkeeper John Ester. Vale added a second in the 67th minute, skipping over some challenges from some Westros defenders, before firing past Ester. It was 3-2 to us in the 75th minute, with Vale pinging a volley past Ester from 25 yards. In the last, John Hiscox, our other striker, headed a cross past the goalkeeper to give us a 4-2 win.

Slembanan team update

We are into the final of the Under-15 World Championship after beating Boring Paradise 1-0. We will face Wight in the final, and to win this tournament would be a massive recovery, as we lost 5-1 to Farfadillis in our first game of the tournament.

The only goal of the game came on 79 minutes, when our star striker, the brilliant Ashley Vale, smashed a long range effort past Osama Homewood, the Paradisian goalkeeper. This came shortly after John Hiscox, our other striker, had saw a great header palmed away by Homewood. Boring Paradise had their best chance on 39 minutes, with their star striker, Raiyaan Malik, saw a chipped shot palmed over the bar by our goalkeeper, John Bunyan. When the final whistle blew, our fans cheered a historic win.

The final against Wight will probably be the biggest moment so far in the short lives of all of our players in our squad for the tournament. Will they fail under the huge pressure? Or can they handle the pressure and win? We'll just have to wait and see.

Now, for the final, I decided to deliver scores in a different way. You'll travel through some of my posts before knowing your result. The thing is, there will be a link above the posts I edited, you'll have to follow them (I decided not to make it too long, it's, let's say, "in beta testing"). In the end you'll arrive to an image, please zoom in by clicking it. Once you do, please don't scroll all the way to the end, it makes it less exciting and if you do a kitten dies.

You're about to start a (short) journey.

Don't worry, it'll take you no time. It's just a test.

Slembanan team update

Nooooooooooooo! We have just lost the final of the under-15 World Championship 2-0 to Wight. A real shame. Our boys can still be proud - they started the tournament awfully by losing 5-1 to Farfadillis, and to recover and get all the way to the final is a great achievement, even if we lost.

Wight's first goal came on 15 minutes. It was scored by striker Vurnon Old (who is a prisoner on an island colony). Old jinked inside our defenders, before curling a fantastic shot past John Bunyan, our goalkeeper. This came from a speedy counter-attack, which was started when Wight defender Rumon Skewes headed away a corner from our right-winger, Brad Young.

Our star striker, Ashley Vale, suffered a knock to his leg in training before the match, but, despite being advised not to play, he just went ahead and did so. As a result, he just didn't look himself. He had a few shots on goal, but he wasn't as quick as he normally is. Eventually, a bad tackle on the player after 75 minutes, which resulted in a free-kick and a red card for Wightian defender Etienne Gynn, saw Vale's injury aggravated. The player had to limp off the pitch, and left the stadium, and Farfadillis, in crutches (and a protective cast around his leg).

Without our star striker, we were playing even worse. As a result, Wight got their second goal in the 89th minute, when Evander Spurling volleyed home. Wight captain Wilkie Tregenza lifted the trophy in front of thousands of cheering Wightian fans. Meanwhile, our players clapped the fans, as if to say "Thanks for the support", while the fans did vice versa.

Thanks for hosting. It was quite well run, and would entice me to vote for you on a possible bid for a larger tournament.

Thank you all. If any of you is looking forward to the next, it'll be after WC62. I'm still not sure whether I'd host it or not, but I'll sort that out later.
