Free Swiss States send six-man sculling team to Cosgravia
Even though the nation's biggest regatta is currently ongoing at the river Lucerne, it's not the only place where Swiss rowers are competing! For a small group of rowers who did not qualify for the Lucerne, redemption lies in the international competition in Cosgravia.

The roster is as follows:
Men
Ian Mann
Roger Fodotu
Ryumi Khanda

Women:
Regina Springer
Kerry Bell
Delia Hopkins

They are also accompanied by Judo Nicks, their coswain, and Jonah Nizzy, former diplomat and now coach.

Though the events have not been specified yet, every rower on the roster is adept at sculling and both sides of sweep rowing. Says Ian Mann, "We're ready for anything."

The plane landed in Coskigrad a little too roughly for Troy Baker's liking, but no one else on the plane appeared phased. Bass pumped steadily in his ears from amplified headphones, received complimentary from the CEO of Coco Bay Records when he'd made his appearance in a reggae video. His head was still spinning from the idea that all of Taijan had seen him, on MTV of all places, but he had been trying not to let it get to him.
Overhead, the seatbelt light came off, and Troy eased out of his restraint, standing up as best his huge frame could in the tiny airplane cabin and stretching. A powerful yawn split his long face, causing his eyes to water, and then something hard hit his head.
"I told you, 'catch', white boy!"
The voice was loud enough to be recognizeable over the music; it was Kenny Moloko, the team's center, standing behind him with his back uncomfortably bent. Troy dropped his headphones to his shoulders and grabbed the small basketball off the floor, his huge hand nearly engulfing the thing.
"I'm surprised you can get your hand back far enough to throw in here," he told Kenny, hoping the joke wasn't lost. Kenny was a great center, but it seemed most of his mental capacity had been dedicated to plays and shot motions. He smiled, a flash of white teeth on a pitch-black face, and Troy figured he was alright.
Taking the ball in two fingers and a thumb, he took aim at a black ponytail getting her bag down in first class, leveled back, and fired. The shot was perfect, sailing into Jacey del Negro just as the bag came down into her cradled arms, yet she managed to catch it, one-handed. Holding it up to give an exaggerated once-over, she looked over at Troy.
"Hey, free basketball. Thanks."
Behind him, Troy could hear a clamor, and Sebastien Dalam's high-pitched whine: "He loost the baaall." Then someone further back, probably a rugby player, shouted for them to get moving, so they did.

by **Carcia** » Wed Aug 15, 2012 3:09 pm

Carcia arrives in Coskigrad.

After some confusion about who was actually entering the tournament, the Carcian Sports and Fitness Bureau (CSFB) have sent a number of athletes to compete in the first International Friendly Games. As Carcian international relations are stilly new and development, this seemed like the perfect opportunity to showcase some of the nation's sporting talent.

Athletics.
Not the strongest sport for the country, however there is a genuine chance of doing well in the men's heptathlon in Jamie Riaz, and hopes in the Women's Long Jump.

Mens 100m - Lance Chain, Jamie Allen
Mens 4x100 - Greg Korazakos, Jamie Allen, Jack Bushell, Lance Chain
Mens 5000m - Ida Hernadez
Mens Heptathlon - Jamie Riaz
Mens Javelin - Toby Greys
Mens Long Jump - Alistair Bell
Womens 100m - Louise Bonshaw
Womens 5000m - Sofia Fernades
Womens Heptathlon - Clare Odell
Womens Javelin - Paula Jones
Womens Long Jump - Emma Tia-Victor

Basketball Mens

Basketball Womens

Sadly, Carcia isn't expecting much here.

Cycling.

Cycling has always been favoured by the Carci, who see it is a simple environmentally friendly way to get around the many towns and villages on the island. The capital Harbourside has two velodromes in it, and it is hoped this will lead to some success. Herkampson has been rising spectacularly at the regional level and his status as flag bearer confirms the hopes of a medal for the nation.

Mens Individual Pursuit - James Herkampson
Mens Team Pursuit - Grant Alter, Kieran Devon, Peter Jessick, David Talbot
Womens Individual - Olivia Gaeorta
Womens Team Pursuit - Jess Mark, Anna Mendaskya, Danielle Taylor, Claire Wyatt
