I have no issue with that either - should avoid anomalies like the Kiaser Colonies or Elejamie dropping down to candidate status for missing a season.

After being well and truly bitten by the cricket bug (and having Liventia in his infinite patience explain how xkoranate works to me :P), I was thinking of hosting a One-Day International tri-series or potentially a four-way series in the Plough Islands at some point soon - just a quick double round-robin with a final and nice virtual trophy for the winner to take home.
I'd be looking to run this just after MD18 in the Test series (so mid-August) - any potential takers?

I would be interested in participating in it. I know I haven't RPd much so far but that would fall at a favourable time for me.

Sorry the CLT20's been late in coming. It will be done "soon."

I hope Linville can do something good this season, since I haven't remembered to work on ProHit.

Announcing...

The Beta Version of
APOXBALLER
Here Be The Link

So, over the last few seasons of GCF Test Cricket, we've been noticing that RedBaller in it's current form has a few eccentricities (large fourth innings run chases, bold declarations, occasionally very slow run rates) and with TBI not active at the moment to undergo development, I've given it a bit of an overhaul, using the basis of TBI's formulae.

A new feature added to this scorinator is the ability to play four or five day games (which some had been interested in for playing domestic first-class cricket). In the future, I might add in the ability to specific three or even two day games (based off the over numbers for those formats), but this is not currently supported.

I've tried to fix any mistakes in copying across and editing formulae, but it may still occasionally break, so I've added in a "bug reports" section in the main scorinator page. If it does break, please try to write what happened in there and I will take a look. Just re-scorinate your game and take the new score if this is the case. Additionally, I should have locked various sections of the sheet so only I can edit them (to avoid accidental breakages occurring), so it shouldn't be immediately necessary to save a copy of ApoxBaller, especially as further significant updates may occur.

Let me know how you get on using it!

I downloaded my copy of Apoxballer (tm).

What's your advice on ranks? Should the home and away rank always average 100? What happens if the average isn't 100? What are some home/away ratios that indicate how much stronger one team is than the other?

It has been brought to my attention that the ranking point for myself and Darmen were a little bit high in the update on Matchday 7, my rank points should have been 3458 not 3462 while Darmen's rank points should have been 4085 not 4062.

As Matchday 8 has been scorinated now, I'm reluctant to go back and scorinate games, especially as the difference in ranking points are so small. Therefore, I offer my sincere apologies to Darmen, Ko-oren and The Plough Islands for this minor mix up and the correct rankings will be used for future matchdays for myself and Darmen. I don't know where these occasional minor inaccuracies in rank come from but I am continuing to work out why they keep popping up. It isn't a systematic error as it only seems to happen to some teams when I update.
