Dreesus 1-0 Jabberwocky Xanadu's
AFC Blockade 5-4 Issington Tykes
Avenida Apox 3-0 Wallwatch FC
Cliffpass United 1-0 Etchilhampton
The lower leagues collide in the first fixtures of the season in the Preliminary Round of the Marshall Cup, once (a long time ago) ANL team Southtown needing penalties to beat Plains, while AFC Blockade and Issington Tykes enjoy a high scoring match in which Blockade ultimately prevails. Also interesting is the Conferencium - Ballykinegg match where both sides show all the aptitude of a broken piano in scoring a goal, before Ballykinegg come from nowhere to score 4 in extra time.
2nd February - UICA Second Preliminary Round
FC Endeavour 1-1 Harmonica Tundra (MBT)
The 21st season of Apoxian football gets itself underway with a muted Endeavour performance against the A-League's Harmonica Tundra. The Tundra play a compact and aggressive game which takes Endeavour a bit by surprise. In fact, it is Harmonica who open the scoring first, after Richard Lionheart squares it to Se Bregoo in the centre, forcing Diandra Ballard to make a brilliant save, but one she can't hold onto, Cathy Blackslate pouncing on the free ball a bit quicker than Jakob Argyle and putting the score at 1-0 Harmonica after 20 minutes played. After that however, the potent midfield of Harmonica was targeted and neutralised more efficiently and their wobbly defence exploited, with Alpha Gandhi looking even better than he did last season, eventually breaking the defence and scoring in the 67th minute.
9th February - UICA Second Preliminary Round
Harmonica Tundra (MBT) 2-2 FC Endeavour
The second leg in Mareibat is another draw, with Endeavour not giving off the aura of a team which is really clicking yet, though that may just be the team gearing up to full fitness. To be fair, Hector Rossizzo had named quite an experimental line-up for the game, with academy graduates Osmosis Gandhi and Wizzard Mormentor making their professional debuts - Mormentor scoring the opening goal with one of his first touches, but Se Bregoo equalised a couple of minutes later. Marc Strand was able to break away from the Tundran defence in the early stages of the second half and whip a lethal ball in which was parried back by Alpha Gandhi and finished on the volley by the aforementioned Strand, only for Alice Monteforth to score a late equaliser. Endeavour still through on away goals though...
18th - 19th February - ANL Matchday 1
Oldem Mechanical 3–2 FC Harpoon
Exton F.C 1–0 Lighthouse Coves
Gwinevra Barbarians 4–3 St George's Creek
Miners '47 1–2 FC Brimstone - Sunday game
Dwile Warriors 4–1 FC Endeavour - Sunday game
Egloskerry 1–0 Barbury Town
Wye United 1–0 Wrexton F.C
Urbanista 3–1 Mandon United
No draws to be seen on a decisive opening weekend of games in the new season. Egloskerry under the mercurial and dicatorial Rohan Cammers somehow manage a win against Barbury Town which is surprising seeing as they spent most of the game acting like a group of 11 players all trying to win it individually rather than as a team, with Ulysses Abujamal almost certainly preventing them from losing 4 or 5 nil, he had an outstanding game in goal. In the end, the victory is attained through a mistake by the now very slow Jack Lerryn, allowing debutant Hilde Varano to fire the ball past Alan Eustathios on the near side post. Both the newly promoted teams to the league get a harsh awakening, with Exton F.C's excellent defence keeping Lighthouse Coves well away from goal with next to no meaningful chances, while FC Brimstone hold Miners '47 back as well.
Gwinevra Barbarians defence takes a little bit of a nap against St George's Creek but Weverton Rodriguez-Torrejon is prolific in front of goal. On Sunday, there is a big opening derby to begin the season in Dwile Warriors and FC Endeavour facing off. And Endeavour, based of their UICA performances so far, are a bit out of shape in the league as well, with Dwile hammering them 4-1 in an unusually one-sided Dwile derby. Laborius Hawk begins his season with an early double, being subbed mid way through the second half with Dwile safely winning to give new buy Jhon Mercurier some top level experience. Hadrian Belfast may have lost a bit of pace in defence, but he's as rock solid as ever, and even bags himself a goal to bring the score to 3-0 from a corner. Brendan Rivers pulls one back for Endeavour, before Aitor Jovellanos finishes the game off in the 81st minute with an absolute thunderbastard.
26th - 27th February - ANL Matchday 2
FC Harpoon 3–2 Mandon United
Wrexton F.C 1–2 Urbanista
Barbury Town 0–0 Wye United - Sunday game
FC Endeavour 1–0 Egloskerry
FC Brimstone 0–1 Dwile Warriors
St George's Creek 2–1 Miners '47
Lighthouse Coves 1–0 Gwinevra Barbarians - Sunday game
Oldem Mechanical 1–0 Exton F.C
A fairly quiet second matchday of the season, with fans having to wait all week for football due to the smaller size of UICA competitions not requiring a third preliminary round this season. Despite the relatively low number of goals, there were some significant "upsets" as it were, most prominent amongst them being Lighthouse Coves home victory over juggernauts Gwinevra Barbarians - new signing Maná scoring from 40 yards out with a scorcher of a shot. Barbury Town continue to struggle, being held to the drabbest of 0-0 draws against Wye United, they've struggled so far this term, Rodin Vidal being unable to overcome the traditional slow Barbury start this season. Exton F.C also lose to less ambitiously talented opposition, with Kwame Nkrumah heading past Steven Worrick from a corner.
2nd March - UICA Play-off Round
Mar Sara FC (VAL) 1-0 FC Endeavour
Nacional (VLD) 1-0 Urbanista
Canbix Muses (ZWZ) 3-2 Exton F.C
Not the strongest of start for any of the UICA teams in their play-off games with three matches played and three matches lost. In fairness though, all three were away and all three only separated by one goal margins, so there is still a particularly decent chance for all teams to progress to their respective group stages.
5th - 6th March - ANL Matchday 3
Exton F.C 3–0 FC Harpoon
Gwinevra Barbarians 1–0 Oldem Mechanical
Miners '47 2–1 Lighthouse Coves
Dwile Warriors 0–1 St George's Creek
Egloskerry 0–1 FC Brimstone
Wye United 1–0 FC Endeavour
Urbanista 2–4 Barbury Town
Mandon United 2–2 Wrexton F.C - Sunday game
Wye United remain the only unbeaten team in the league, and what a way to maintain that record and therefore take the top spot than against FC Endeavour, especially so as Ursula Rankin, formerly of the Centre for Excellence and then sold off once she was told she wasn't good enough for Endeavour, scored the only goal of the game as Endeavour struggle to get off the ground running this season. Elsewhere, champions Barbury Town make short work of Urbanista, Corinna McKenna blowing away her poor form thus far and raking up a brace, while new signing Angelo Farías opens his account with the club as well. Dwile Warriors lose at home to a St George's Creek side operating on one of their good days, while Exton F.C and Gwinevra Barbarians both recover from their defeats last time out in the league, Exton F.C in particular putting FC Harpoon away, Alfreton Zerzubar, who had a relatively quiet season last time, looking big, bad and particularly potent.
9th March - UICA Play-off Round
FC Endeavour 3-1 Mar Sara FC (VAL)
Urbanista 3-1 Nacional (VLD)
Exton F.C 1-0 Canbix Muses
All three teams went out needing a big game to allow them to progress, and that's exactly what all three teams did, FC Endeavour scoring thrice against Mar Sara courtsey of Alex Terán, Gwinevra Harmonium and Brendan Rivers, while Urbanista's kamikaze attacking strategy appeared to actually work at home where they have a maelstrom of fans to whip them into a frenzy, while Exton F.C's Marius Ognevski sneaks a goal through at the River Exe Ground to see Exton advance on away goals.
12th - 13th March - ANL Matchday 4
FC Harpoon 1–2 Wrexton F.C
Barbury Town 1–0 Mandon United
FC Endeavour 3–2 Urbanista - Sunday game
FC Brimstone 2–2 Wye United
St George's Creek 0–2 Egloskerry
Lighthouse Coves 1–1 Dwile Warriors
Oldem Mechanical 3–2 Miners '47 - Sunday game
Exton F.C 1–1 Gwinevra Barbarians
Oldem Mechanical complete a 3-2 victory over Miners '47 to, well this is a surprise, finish matchday 4 at the top of the table, Blodeuwedd Conmara scoring twice in that game and generally looking eager to score, while Miners '47 have looked a little outclassed thus far, their only win so far coming against fellow newly promoted team Lighthouse Coves. Speaking of the Coves, they're the latest team to trip up Dwile Warriors, with Isaac Holt opening his account for his new team with a wonderful lofted shot, only to see his team lose the three points due to Cheney Reeve forcing Nicolas St Teath to make an error and leave Dwile to settle with just the one point. Endeavour see some improvement, beating Urbanista (who've had an awful starting fixture schedule). All in all then, so far a very variable start to the season.
19th - 20th March - ANL Matchday 5
Gwinevra Barbarians 1–0 FC Harpoon
Miners '47 0–0 Exton F.C
Dwile Warriors 2–1 Oldem Mechanical
Egloskerry 1–2 Lighthouse Coves
Wye United 6–4 St George's Creek
Urbanista 4–0 FC Brimstone
Mandon United 2–3 FC Endeavour
Wrexton F.C 0–2 Barbury Town - Sunday game
A high scoring weekend, with the most dramatic of which being Wye United beating out St George's Creek 6-4 to go top of the table, with Ursula Rankin declaring her class with a hat-trick, backed up with goals from Catherine Purrington, Jack Mills and Rasmus Norregaard, still winning despite their lack of defensive prowess, with Niko Kosbayashi generally looking like a geriatric for most of the game and booting it into his own net at one point. Mandon United remain the only unbeaten team in the league, despite going 2-1 up against FC Endeavour at half time, goals from Alex Terán and Alpha Gandhi after Jack Bardsley's sending off sink United, leaving them bottom of the league.
Over performing Oldem Mechanical visit Dwile Warriors, and initially stun them by bringing their usual attacking game, Mechanical actually scoring first through Squire Trevelyan, before the Warriors finish them off with strikes from Laborius Hawk and Aitor Jovellanos. Elsewhere, Barbury Town and Gwinevra Barbarians also win to keep them in the hunt at the top of the table.
23rd March - UICA Qualifying Round
Slave Beaters United (GGS) 4-0 Exton F.C
Ermmmm..... The less said about this game the better I feel.
26th March - Marshall Cup First Round

Egloskerry 5-4 The Dambusters
Yerk United 1-0 Skjoll Premier
Project +90 0-0 Issington F.C (1-0 AET)
The first round proper of the Marshall Cup, and the usual carnage it brings. A few upsets, as would be expected, with third tier Project +90 beating until this season top tier Issington F.C, while St. George's Creek are knocked out by second tier Urbanista Young Boys. Wye United let things slip against currently third tier Gwinevra Bulls, and some abject penalty taking later, are out of the cup at the first hurdle.
30th March - UICA Qualifying Round
Exton F.C 1-4 Slave Beaters FC (GGS)
Like... I just don't understand. I know Exton F.C aren't exactly world beaters but, I've never even heard of this Gregoryisgodistani team before.
2nd - 3rd April - ANL Matchday 6
FC Harpoon 4–3 Barbury Town
FC Endeavour 1–0 Wrexton F.C - Sunday game
FC Brimstone 0–0 Mandon United
St George's Creek 0–1 Urbanista - Sunday game
Lighthouse Coves 0–3 Wye United
Oldem Mechanical 2–2 Egloskerry
Exton F.C 2–3 Dwile Warriors
Gwinevra Barbarians 0–0 Miners '47
FC Harpoon beat the defending champions in an exciting, fast paced game, where Harpoon are tight at the back and quick on the counter. It doesn't help that Barbury are having a pretty dodgy day at the back anyway, and King Trevarren just orchestrated the whole thing from the midfield. Exton's bizarre loss to Slave Beaters United has clearly knocked them off, as despite starting well against Dwile Warriors, its the experience and calibre of the Warriors' players which allows them to pull through and gain the three points in the end, the goals coming from Isaac Holt, Laborius Hawk and Sakina Zozula. Exton manager Sammie Puskas is absolutely apoplectic postgame and is fined £100,000 for telling the reporters post interview to "fuck right off with your snide comments and judgy looks". Wye United stay at the top of the league with a convincing win over newly promoted Lighthouse Coves, while their fellow promotees in Miners '47 manage to hold Gwinevra Barbarians away - very impressive, but they'll need to do better than that to keep themselves in this league next season.
9th - 10th April - ANL Matchday 7
Miners '47 1–1 FC Harpoon - Sunday game
Dwile Warriors 4–6 Gwinevra Barbarians - Sunday game
Egloskerry 0–0 Exton F.C
Wye United 1–3 Oldem Mechanical
Urbanista 2–0 Lighthouse Coves
Mandon United 2–2 St George's Creek
Wrexton F.C 1–2 FC Brimstone
Barbury Town 1–0 FC Endeavour
Crikey, that really is an Auld Classic for the ages, as Dwile Warriors host Gwinevra Barbarians in a goalfest between two of the teams at the top of the table. Both teams bill it as a must win, and it is Dwile Warriors with the early chat, Aitor Jovellanos looking potent down the left, fizzing a couple into Laborius Hawk before the deadlock is broken, before getting one for himself. Weverton Rodriguez-Torrejon is quick to respond though, and is released by Ruy Monrázon, beating Cleto Mata and whizzing the ball past Jadranka Steele in goal. Dwile continue to press, and Forlock Pentameter unleashes some spicy pace to get the ball through the midfield, 1-2ing with Hawk to make it 3-1 Dwile at the break.
However, Euran legend Mike Adams is on hand to turn things around, assisting both Sanui Shizuka and Wesley Kane for goals, before getting one himself and suddenly it's 4-3 Gwinevra. The game loses some of its intensity in the latter stages, becoming a touch more sloppy and fervent, before Weverton Rodriguez-Torrejon (again) and young sub Josmer Medici both get on the scoresheet, with Dwile's own young sub Jhon Mercurier scoring a goal in injury time, to little avail to the final result. This means Gwinevra are in 3rd with seven matches played on 14 points, while Dwile Warriors lurk in 6th on 13 (yes the table is that close at the moment). In the continuing leader merry go round, Urbanista go top after becoming the latest team to beat Lighthouse Coves as Wye lose to Oldem Mechanical.
13th April - UICA Group Stage
Dwile Warriors 1-0 Brewers (SVL)
Bayern-Algaer (TAE) 1-2 Barbury Town
FC Endeavour 0-2 Brigham (EUR)
Mâ Âlâmëómë (FFD) 2-2 Urbanista
C. LS Jesus Christ (GOD) 1-1 Gwinevra Barbarians
FC Brimstone 0-2 Tanrısal (PAS)
The usual mixed bag to open our UICA performance, with Dwile Warriors beating Brewers courtesy of a Richard D'Oyly goal. Barbury Town also start their campaign on a winning note, Corinna McKenna and Angelo Farías being enough to see off the threat from Bayern-Algaer. FC Endeavour rather meekly fall down to a decent Brigham side, while Urbanista can be pleased with their 2-2 draw against Farf superteam Mâ Âlâmëómë. In the Globe Cup, Gwinevra Barbarians have a bit of a hiccup against the confusingly named C. LS Jesus Christ, while FC Brimstone lose to Tanrisal.
16th - 17th April - ANL Matchday 8
FC Harpoon 2–0 FC Endeavour
FC Brimstone 1–0 Barbury Town
St George's Creek 1–1 Wrexton F.C
Lighthouse Coves 0–1 Mandon United - Sunday game
Oldem Mechanical 2–0 Urbanista
Exton F.C 0–0 Wye United - Sunday game
Gwinevra Barbarians 1–0 Egloskerry
Miners '47 2–1 Dwile Warriors
A low scoring matchday, with plenty of upsets to get stuck into. The most prominent of these are Miners '47 victory against Dwile Warriors, propelling both teams into the crowded middle of the table, much to the Warriors chagrin, I'm sure. FC Endeavour and Barbury Town are other heavyweight teams to drop points, allowing Gwinevra Barbarians to rise to the top with their victory over a hapless Egloskerry side who follow their captain/manager/dictator's example in Rohan Cammers and are generally a mess, Cammers being sent off for a while for a series of niggling fouls. Oldem Mechanical continue their remarkable run of form of late, now beating Urbanista to go into second place, Blodeuwedd Conmara and Squire Trevelyan both scoring, and both players looking entirely world-class at the moment. Also Mandon United earn their first win of the season, against Lighthouse Coves, to move them up to 15th in the table, and only 1 point below the Coves themselves in 14th - life in the top tier has hit them hard, they haven't picked up any points in the last 4 games.
20th April - UICA Group Stage
Carter FC (JSY) 1-0 Dwile Warriors
Barbury Town 4-1 Raynor City United (VAL)
Sonoma Center Panthers (COM) 4-1 FC Endeavour
Urbanista 1-1 Iskara Daii (STB)
Gwinevra Barbarians 0-1 North Laithland (NPH)
Ibini FC (VAL) 2-2 FC Brimstone
Another day of struggles for Apoxian clubs in UICA competition. Carter FC see off Dwile Warriors in a fairly listless Dwile performance where Laborius Hawk isn't playing due to a minor niggle. Barbury Town are rampant in a stunning victory over former world champions Raynor City United, Isidora Cullen scoring a brace after goals from Ioghan Balthorst and Sverre Devold. Elsewhere FC Endeavour are stamped on by Sonoma Center Panthers and Urbanista draw with Starblaydi legends Iskara Daii. Gwinevra are down by a Rudden strike, while FC Brimstone are tenacious in a draw against Ibini.
23rd - 24th April - ANL Matchday 9
Dwile Warriors 1–0 FC Harpoon - Sunday game
Egloskerry 4–3 Miners '47
Wye United 1–1 Gwinevra Barbarians
Urbanista 1–3 Exton F.C
Mandon United 0–1 Oldem Mechanical
Wrexton F.C 1–0 Lighthouse Coves - Sunday game
Barbury Town 2–3 St George's Creek
FC Endeavour 0–0 FC Brimstone
Mandon United and Oldem Mechanical are, on paper at least, teams with pretty similar skill sets, and therefore, it is quite a surprise to see them at the opposite ends of the table after a 1-0 victory for Mechanical courtesy of Conmara's penalty. In response to this latest loss, which sees Mandon pinned to the bottom (not by a great deal though, it has to be said) is the end for Jennie Scott in charge of the club and she is sacked, to be replaced by the venerable Jon Quillisi, on his usual conditions of only seeing out the remainder of the season. It's a bit of a muddle up at the top of the table at the moment, with no team able to put together a good run of wins to really distance themselves from the pack. Dwile Warriors are back in winning ways with a goal from Forlock Pentameter enough to see them beat FC Harpoon, while Egloskerry manage to triumph over the Miners without (and probably thanks to) Rohan Cammers being on the field. Despite their heroics in the Champion's Cup, Barbury Town have struggled a little this season with the league, and could've done with a win over struggling St George's Creek, but Damien Balnerii, frankly, had other ideas.
27th April - UICA Group Stage
Dwile Warriors 1-2 CD FAS (SJG)
Century Mertagne (TCU) 2-3 Barbury Town
FC Endeavour 2-1 Crystal Fair HC (CRY)
Urbanista 3-0 Sabrefell Moths (NPH)
St Marie (KRN) 1-3 Gwinevra Barbarians
FC Brimstone 3-1 Ferentásctvaros (RED)
FC Endeavour finally manage to pick themselves up some points against a lacklustre Crystal Fair HC side, Barbury Town and Urbanista also picking up wins as well. Unfortunately, there is a thorn in the works going by the name of CD FAS which prevents an Apoxian clean sweep of the round, Dwile scoring early through Aitor Jovellanos before CD FAS break them down throughout the game, scoring a late winner. In the Globe Cup, it's a fairly routine pair of 3-1 wins against lower ranked opposition.
29th - 30th April - ANL Matchday 10
FC Harpoon 2–1 FC Brimstone
St George's Creek 4–4 FC Endeavour
Lighthouse Coves 0–0 Barbury Town
Oldem Mechanical 2–0 Wrexton F.C
Exton F.C 2–2 Mandon United - Sunday game
Gwinevra Barbarians 6–2 Urbanista
Miners '47 0–2 Wye United - Sunday game
Dwile Warriors 6–3 Egloskerry
A couple of big wins as some of the clubs unleash their firepower on other. Egloskerry's baffling run with Rohan Cammers at their head was bound to come to an end sooner or later, and after Cammers post match interview which suggested he was considering sacking the entire team and playing with the U-15s was enough to persuade the board to part company with their mercurial player-manager-dictator, swapping him for actual football coach, Quentin O'Leary. Bizarrely, Cammers' response to this was to retire, with immediate effect, with a load of shouting and gesticulating and generally very few actual words as to why this was something he'd done. Gwinevra Barbarians manage to score 6 in a game which isn't then marred by controversy, just the class and skill of Weverton Rodriguez-Torrejon at work instead. However, they remain one place behind Oldem Mechanical with a third of the season to go, Mechanical beating a Wrexton F.C side who've struggled a lot this season. Lighthouse Coves earn a valuable point against Barbury Town, but defence isn't really their problem, it's finishing. They create a respectable 5 chances in the game, but just can't finish any of them, and it shows, with them 15th and only 5 goals to their name, the lowest of any ANL club.

In the second tier, Issington are currently on hand to return straight back to the ANL, although with only 10 points between them and bottom placed Bouldertown, there is still much that could be changed. Behind Issington, Calshott Lighthouse, Mona A.F.C and Wofford Town currently complete the play-off teams, with Wofford's former World Cup winner Gustaf Kolehmainen currently top scoring the division with 9 goals.

The Northern Conference sees a surprising team currently at the summit, Serious Platypus no less, the unfancied team from the highlands having an excellent time this season, though pre season favourites Skjoll Premier and Gwinevra Youth Project are close behind. Conferencium, at the bottom have 5 points to their name after 13 games and a goal difference of -29. They really are bad.

Once again it looks like Witchunt are going to cruise to the title, the only team able to keep anywhere near them at the moment being Avenida Apox, with Dwile Warriors Youth in 3rd being a whole 10 points behind already at the top of the mid table pack.
