Consider that as normal, but keep with good RP, but if you want better results you may make RP with more quality and length, be creative don't get stressed, in the next cycle you will get probably better results, that's the good part of NS Sports, randomness is so usual here, so keep in battle buddy.

An incredibly minor one. If you're making your team +5 purely to benefit from, like, the fourth-priority tie-breaker...

IIRC in the last CoH Goals Against was tiebreaker instead.

Most importantly, though, Goals For has real-world precedent.

Hence why its almost always not used, or else used as the very last tiebreaker before a coin flip. The current hosts use, in order, wins, H2H, H2H goal difference, overall GD, than GF.

True. But then the last CoH had least Goals Against as a tiebreaker, which would do the reverse.
But even then, any sensible host would have goals for as the very last actual tiebreaker, after all the H2H ones and GD.

Just a quick note to say that having put off RPing until I got "home home" for Christmas as I was simply so busy beforehand, I've now got "home home" and my laptop screen is completely failing to display. At all. Currently typing this whilst hooked up to the TV, which, as you can understand, isn't that convenient for the rest of my family during Christmas and all. Irony being I didn't take my external monitor and cable with me "home home", leaving them at "home".

Anyway, there's a chance I'll be able to transfer files across and use someone else's laptop to do RPing etc, but in the case that I'm not, we'll just have to wait until my latop gets a new part/replaced. Hopefully not the latter. Though I did a full backup not that long ago on my external HDD, and that's at "home", so I touch wood won't have really lost anything should this laptop get wiped during repair.

Aaaaaaanyway, this is no longer a short note, so I'll just apologise for this inconvenience, and add that hopefully I'll be able to get at last /some/ RPing done with one or both of my nations before the end of qualifying.


Obviously, the Seasogs scorination is postponed until such time as I have a working laptop.

As we are currently about 40 hours away from the halfway point of qualifying, and no bids have come forward yet, I would like to encourage those considering bidding to host the next Cup of Harmony to make their final bid preparations, and try to post them in due time. With the two-day Christmas Break between Matchdays Nine and Ten, I hereby set the provisional deadline for bidding to coincide with the expected scorination time of Matchday Ten, which is on December 26, 2013, at 10:00 PM EST (05:00 UTC 27/12). Provided that a bid has come forward, bidders can expect the voting period to coincide with the final matchdays of qualifying, with a winner likely determined by the end of Matchday Eighteen.

All information subject to change, etc. etc. Reading fine print can be harmful to one's vision.

Despite not actually competing in the WC, I've been considering putting in a CoH bid, as I did (unsuccessfully) for CoH44.

Despite not actually competing in the WC, I've been considering putting in a CoH bid, as I did (unsuccessfully) for CoH44.

Unfortunately, the World Cup Constitution contains this provision, which prevented a Saintland/Ibex bid last cycle:

i) Any nation that has previously participated in a World Cup may bid to host the Cup of Harmony.

This means that a nation must have actually entered a World Cup in order to bid. I'd support an amendment to change nation to user, but I'm not sure how everybody else feels about that. As it stands, I believe you'd have to revive Quintessence of Dust (which is on the list of former BoF entrants) to bid for the CoH.
