I feel like the Free Republics is that stereotypical team from any sport movie ever that everyone wants to beat because they are the bad guys. Their fans are rude, the players cocky and the coach... Don't get me stared on the coach. :p

But yeah, am I the only one that feels that way?

Just my option on the FRR nothing personal on the user himself btw.

Though FR/Saintland's quite a good RPer. Creepy gym owners are probably pretty bad at that.

Oops! Missed the RP deadline, again: Yesterday was due to really bad weather here, which meant that I delayed leaving my workplace (on the final day before my holidays started) for several hours in the -- unfortunately unmet -- hope that conditions would improve, and consequently didn't manage to get into NS at all; today, it was simply the relatively early time of this Cup's cut-offs still taking me by surprise. Ah well, the Belles didn't let urrs down, anyhows, and the post that I'm going to make shortly will count for tomorrow (when RL is again quite likely to get in the way of NS for me) instead...

I've read some of Saintland (and Free Republics) RPs in the World Cup and stuff and honestly I can say that, they just seem like such the nation everyone would hate, the Yankees of Nationstates Sports if you will. Like Felix said nothing personal, just saying. Also just to mention Gregoryisgodistan's RPs accusing Saintland of all this random stuff is pretty funny, I don't know if any of you guys have read his RPs.

Did you read the Greg RP when he cut the "private parts" to my referee, or when he killed 1/4 of Alianza Albos (my puppet) population (He killed fasistas, hooray) but if he do another thing, we don't discard the chance of a Komitet Gosudarstvennoy Bezopasnosti (Yes my KGB is a military) invasion to that borehole.

Yes but people likes to say "KGB" or "Militsiya", the "Guayabalense" language is a mix of spanish and russian and KGB will be used against Gregoryisgodistan. Yes, always expect something with russian taste from me.

Yes, indeed they would seem to have all the traits of a good "bad guy" nation. That is, except for one key element which prevents me from developing a true Equestrian-Republican rivalry: actually being good.

So far as I can tell, Equestrian and Republican teams have faced each other four times (that I can remember) since the Free Republics first debuted at the 27th Di Bradini Cup. The Equestrian States' national teams have won three of those meetings, while the only other match resulted in a draw and was RPed as being Equestrian-dominated. Without any notable Republican successes, the only reason Equestrian fans can find to dislike the Free Republics would be the speciesism of their manager. Even then, it's more of the Equestrians looking down upon the Republicans as a bunch of upstarts rather than hatred of an equal.

Equestrian States 1-0 Free Republics (Di Bradini Cup 27, Final)
Equestrian States 1–1 Free Republics (World Cup 65 Qualifying, MD8)
Free Republics 1–3 Equestrian States (World Cup 65 Qualifying, MD17)

There is a slight chance of a minor delay (shouldn't be more then an hour if needed) in today's cutoff due to a last minute 10am doctor appointment I needed to schedule. If I can get in and out there shouldn't be a delay..... but we all know how doctors can be with keeping an timely appointment schedule.

By the way, if you are going to refer to my nation by a different name for IC reasons (like Gregoryisnotgodistan) please either TG me or leave an OOC note saying you are referring to Gregoryisgodistan. I frequently search for mentions of my nation, but if it's not mentioned by name, that doesn't help. I will edit this into my RP permissions shortly.

He didn't need what Margaret did to him today, that's for sure. There's a few nations I feel bad for right now, but we all know how things can be sometimes. Still not even at halfway if there's any silver lining.
