Apox will be doing the first few qualification days; he was away over the weekend, but was coming home today - so I'll let him answer that question as it applies to himself.

My scorination days will typically cut off at noon Gulf Standard Time, with possible minor variations on UAE weekends [Friday and Saturday] if RL intervenes for the married 40-something co-host. However, if I need to vary the cutoff slightly, I'll be sure to announce as much in advance.

Apologies for the delay on this, I literally walked in through the front door about an hour ago. My cut-off window will be between 10pm and midnight BST, with any changes in this being announced as soon as possible. This will all be updated in the OP at some point tonight, as well as information on who is scoring which matchday.

As qualifiers start tomorrow, perhaps now is a good time to start thinking about whether you fancy hosting the CoH, and how you're going to go about finding a partner to bid with. If indeed, you want to bid with a partner at all.

I'd like to run the vote at around the halfway point of qualifiers if possible, so let's get those bids in.

I would also like to run that vote at the same time as the presidential vote, so once I set a deadline for the CoH bids before voting starts, that will also act as the deadline for WCC members to get their presidential nominations in. I will say that so far we have had seventeen nominations, with four nations currently in line for the run-off vote. So, please do continue to send your nominations to Cairnskillen, thank you.

Following a final CTE check, two nations that have CTE'd will be replaced with nations on the WC69 sign-up waiting list.

In Group 6, St Iago Isles (rank 337) will be replaced with Lleidia (unranked).

In Group 16, The Channel 4 News Team (rank 346) will be replaced by Southern Holdinia (unranked).

While changes to groups between the draw and the first day of scorination are not common, in neither case do these impact seedings. In both cases teams from the bottom seeding pool are being replaced with teams that would themselves have been placed in the bottom seeding pool. This should therefore be a fairly uncontroversial change that allows us to replace two inactive nations with similarly ranked active ones.

I will now TG both Lleidia and Southern Holdinia to let them know that they're in.

The relevant change to the RP thread will take place within the next 20 minutes (I'll need switch to my mod account to edit the RP thread OP after I TG the above two nations).

How come only four of the matchdays have scorinators listed? Should we assume that every day listed after that but before another host is listed will be scorinated by the same person? Also, can I request that we have at least one day off in between days when Apox hosts and days when THE hosts so there are more than 9 hours between cutoffs? That's going to be hard, especially for people in Europe who might sleep through a whole matchday if you don't do that.

Yes, I thought it would be obvious that the scoring would be by the same person until another name is listed. I can make it more clear if people are confused though.

And the schedule has just been edited to give a larger gap between THE and my scorinations, giving a window of more like 36 hours now, after we picked that up yesterday. Due to me being away from the 28th July to the 5th of August, as a result, I am now scoring Matchdays 1-3, and Matchdays 13-14 due to the schedule moving back. This shouldn't make any radical differences, but we apologise for any inconveniences.

Hi! There will be a new thread specifically for results. They are expected to be posted around 10 pm BST (which is 3/4 pm for me).

You may know this, but scores aren't just "declared" by the host. They are produced by a "scorinator", a computer program that accounts for things like rank, roleplay and randomness in determining a winner.

For clarity, 10 PM is the RP cut-off time, not necessarily when scores will be posted. RP will be cut off at c.10 PM; scores will follow once Apox has finished collating RP bonuses for matchday 1. The actual time when scores are posted will therefore in part depend on how long it takes to read and rate RPs posted to that point; this is a fairly big task for the first matchday, even given Apox isn't doing it all at the last minute.

In effect, I accidentally placed Free Republics in your group instead of Free Swiss States, and then when I was redrawing your group in a separate part of xkoranate, accidentally inputted you and Buyan in the wrong order, causing the fixtures for Group 24 to be wrong. I've changed the RP thread group post, so the fixture list for Group 24 should now be correct, and I can only apologise for any inconvenience caused to those nations affected.

As mentioned in the OOC for my MD2 RP, I shall be away until the up 7th of August, meaning I will pretty much miss the rest of the World Cup. Apologies to the hosts, my group mates, everyone who didn't manage to get in the World Cup who could have had my place and everyone involved in the Corvidae RP (though I did inform them when the schedule came out.) I

have added the starting Xi for all my matches in my roster, so if group mates could use that, that would be fab.

Now let's hope Margaret is nice and gives me a fighting chance when I return.

Firstly, as I mentioned in a footnote attached to yesterday's RP, computer problems unfortunately mean that I can only access the first page of the current rankings table in NSWCC Signups' sig: Please would somebody give me the current rankings (and maybeso the KPB values, too) for Group 14's fourth & lower seeds?

Secondly, as you'll see in today's RP, the press representatives accompanying my team to 'away' games will now include an Ursine vversion of the DC Comics character Jimmy Olsen. If he dcomes to tour nation then feel free to have weird things happen to him in your RP, within the following limits:
1/ Any changes wear off after about a day;
and
2/ Nobody gets seriously hurt, except perhaps for villains who suffer poetic justice, and 'Jammy' doesn't get into trouble with the law because of those events;
and preferably also
3/ There's an element of humour involved.
