First timer here, thought I would make a thread I could point back to later.
IC: Welcome, I see you have met my creepy out-of-character self. He can annoy me sometimes. Anyway, You have arrived at my master thread for on reason or another. Now you must make a choice, you can regard this thread as a....teleporter to some building in a major city that holds all of the information you could need to find any answer you request about the brand new New Pebble Island Football/Soccer Club. You could also imagine it as a thread within an online site that includes political simulations and random people's attempts to shape a community from nothing, what a glorious idea! Now how about some club histroy?
History
President John Deen sat at his desk, a birthrite from his great-Grandfather, the founder of Pebble Island. He was speaking to his Minister of the Interior, would was saying New Pebble Island was simply lacking culture. This would not do, the President thought. He was hoping to start a tourism industry to reinforce his economy. The President asked what they could do, and his minister said he had no idea. The President looked outside his window at his humble island. In the distance he could see a group of young men kicking a ball at the side of barn, sometimes kicking the ball high into the air before catching it with their feet. The President turned around, "What about a football club?" he asked. The minister responded,"Whatever works." The minister left the office and the President walked down to were the men were relaxing on a bench. "Are you the President?" one of them asked. "In the flesh." The President said, he watched a movie with that phrase and thought it could be applied there. "What are doing here?" another one asked. The President then replied something that is inscribed at the club's stadium entrance,"How can you help bring us together?" he asked, the men looked at him, he said, "We need something to add to our culture, there is an upcoming football tournement and I noticed you playing. How would you like to be the first players on the New Pebble Island Football Club?" The President explained.
The young men responded, quite calmy in fact,"Why not?" So a team was formed, the young men, with a couple of former Premier League backups bought to the island, they practiced. They were payed well to practice, and they did. In a friendly with the Argentina 17-U team, New Pebble Island forced a draw, playing carefully until the final four minutes, when they had six men charge forward with another three sweeping, leaving only two men to defend. They made a wonderful shot, hitting the post. New Pebble Island citizens began to grow a fandom around the team, ready to see what comes at these in this big international tournement.
