The Baptism of Fire should take place shortly after the host(s) have been voted for it. The World Cup then takes place after the Baptism of Fire has finished.

An updated signup list won't tell us much yet. The host vote continues for a few more days. After the hosts are determined, they'll go through the list--correcting errors and removing nations that ceased to exist. They'll also post a cut-off time or cut-off point consistent with their bid, possibly accompanied by a request for puppets to be withdrawn to open some spaces.
