I'm not sure what the record is for the widest defeat in a World Cup Finals match is, but that might well be it. I'd be pissed off too.

My advice would be to RP your ass off to account for it and swear revenge on Krytenia, the hosts, and all your mortal enemies.

Alright.. I finally figured out a losing thing I've done that even Audioslavia can't top:

TWICE I've had 10+ game winless streaks in the World Cup itself.

I'm the round of 16... While it's carnival and i'm away from home pretty difficult to rp from the phone, but i return later today, so i may bring up a rp in time.

Question: we've had the friendlies thing for a long while now. Is there a possibility that they could be implemented as in real life, denoting a small fraction of KPB point for a win, while limiting the number that can be playedduring World Cup?

That's the main reason why we don't have friendlies could towards KPB.

There is a Friendly thread somewhere around here, just take care of it there.

It was brought up because of the friendlies thread. And I got to thinking, what if they did count for something? But as I see that a couple people are against, it probably a sign that it wouldn't work out with everyone else.

I would be adamantly opposed to do this. If only because it would effectively turn friendlies into competitive matches, with teams playing as many as possible only to gain those precious few KPB points.

It's just more work for the hosts ... who would prefer less friendies.

The friendlies thread was dead for 3 months. That should tell you something as well

No.

Never.

1) Friendlies are optional, so would lead to an uneven distribution of KPB points; KPB points should only be awarded for matches which are a required part of participation in an event.

2) Many of us would like to see a significant reduction in formal hosting responsibility for friendlies anyway - a constitutional reform to that effect only narrowly failed in the last round of reform votes (and then only because someone forgot to vote).


I appreciate you were trying to be constructive Saugeais, and we need people to feel free to contribute new ideas in the WCDT, so please don't feel I'm being negative towards you personally - but this really is a terrible idea.

I was very happy that this amendment did NOT pass. I like the friendlies, they add a sense of fun to the WC cycle where an upset win can be RPed funnily, can be written off and give a sense of hope to lower ranked teams. (I beat a top 80 team in my first ever friendly).

It also gives us a chance to play other rivals and other top ranked teams, so I want the friendlies to say, I like them.

That being said, I disagree with Saugeais' proposition. Its a bit unfair I think, but its a good idea in theory, but in practice it'd take away the fun of the friendlies being the way that they are. While also making it harder for the rankings guy to do them all.
