Yafor II and Tyrrin are both CTE and have been replaced in the Finals by Rejistania and Andossa Se Mitrin Vega. The method for choosing the replacements was using the two highest point getters who did not qualify on their own. The draw will be conducted tomorrow afternoon/early evening on IRC.

Just asking for curiosities' sake: Why not promote Akbarabad (3rd place in Yafor II's group) and Jasīʼyūn (3rd place in Tyrrin's group) instead, seeing as those 2 teams were most directly affected by Yafor II and Tyrrin being in those groups.

But they should not be qualifying as it's not up to the hosts, if you CTE you get a points penalty (-40 or -80 i can't remember), therefore whoever finished under them qualifies as they would move into the qualifying place.

Actually, that penalty was never codified. There was a discussion about it not to long ago but it was decided to leave CTE situations up to hosts' discretion.

I decided, at the time of WC13, to just multiply the points of a CTE nation with -1 because I thought that if a good nation signs up, it has IMHO a bit more of a responsibility to the event than a non-RPing n00b. fsor, people decided to re-interpret that into a penalty independent of the points reached.

It would be in line with my RP theme for this cup, but ever since the Aztec debacle, I'm a little cautious about overdoing the Mysterious Powers of the Dreamed Realm Beyond.

I'd wager that no-one would mind if you did, but would it perhaps be easier (for your conscience, if nothing else) for your characters and organisations to only assume it is probably an aftershock, rather than directly state that X did Y.

Thanks - but I do think I have to be careful. The potential for godmodding with the Dreamed Realm is huge, and there's always a potential tension between what I imply it's possible for the Dreamed Realm to do - and what many would accept it can hypothetically do - and what is responsible for me to actually attempt to do.

Rumsfeldian rhetoric aside, I asked for a reason, and I won't do something that anyone's uncomfortable with when it comes to nations CTEing.
