Not to late to sign up?

If so then the FFB with a new directorship is getting the Empire on the world stage in the world of football again and wishes to enter an U21 team.

OOC: I now have more time to do this (well not really) plus I miss doing the RP.
You know you've made it on NSG when you have a whole thread created around what you said.

Woo-hoo, 24 signups. Anyone who signs-up from now on will be placed on a provisional list until we get to 28, so we can have nicely-divisible groups of four.

Four groups of seven/seven of four is a little unwieldy, but still very doable. I'm very happy to go with 4 groups of 6, however.

Hey Star just noticed your comment about performance in previous cups influencing the bonus a bit, could you quickly explain how much/little/more details please :)

Basically, totting up the placings in the last few DBCs gives each nation a points score (1 point for going out at the group stage, 2 for the QFS, etc), which is then arranged to give a very rough ranking list, which is then translated into bonus points in the scorination.

Quite simply, it's like a free RP bonus to begin with, based on how well you've done recently.

I like to call them seedings, rather than rankings, but that's just because I played too many U21WCs when TnUI used seeds. It sort of makes sense, really, as if you follow the four years per Cup thing like myself, your U21 team will be vastly different from one tournament to the next, so the seeding reflects the strength of your Under-21 program, rather than the strength of your previous team who are now all growed up.

Ahh cool. Will you be releasing the seedings or keeping them hush-hush?

I've got pretty good records of all my teams so like to use as many eligible players as possible. Coming up with Greek names gets tiring :p

Thanks for clearing that up!

Oh they'll be shown in the Group Draw type thing, as I've got to arrange it before scorinating MD1 otherwise nobody will get a bonus! Thumbs up for the Greeks, too, as Starblaydia also has a sizeable Greek population (though they call themselves Nemyans, thanks to an old, ceased, nation).

Hey, we have some Greeks as well: There's only a few of them, forming one of the 'Minor' Clans, as about 30'000 people out of an 18'000'000-or-so total population -- and split fairly evenly between the clan's Human and Ursine sides -- but maybe I'll put one into play for the DBC or the Oxen Cup.

(= 'Clan Arkadhiano', whose ancestors left [one Earth's version of] central Morea shortly after the Ottoman Turks conquered that area; almost all of them belong to a small and 'autocephalous', but doctrinally correct, 'Greek Orthodox' church...)

I'll drop out Jeru FC if the numbers get weird and you need to remove a team.

Thanks, Jer, 29 doesn't go in to... well, very much :D So that means:

I... er, um. Huh?

Oops, sorry! No idea how that ended up being sorted in that order, honestly.

ICly just blame it on the Starblaydi disdain for Peisandros (remember WC44, I think it was where we faced you in the Second Round in your first qualification) with the "Peisandros? Who are they?" comment reminiscent of this great advert.

EDIT: 2nd Round, not QFs.

Heh that's all good. Still the 2nd seed in my group which is appropriate!

Lol, wonderful ad. That makes it all better

And yes. 2nd round of my first WC appearance. A 1-0 loss to the eventual winners wasn't too bad, heh.

Anyway back on topic, shall have a roster up in a few hours.
