Bears Armed

‘The Bear-Belles’

National football organisation: ‘Bears Armed Association for Soccer’ (= ‘BAAS’).
(Chairbear: Arrannah Graye [Chairbear of River City S.C.])
National anthem (for sports): ‘The Banner Green And Gold’.

Yes, it still is an all-female team. As I’ve explained before, this is because the main ball-game that's traditionally been played in Bears Armed is actually a form of Rugby, but [for several reasons] the professional league for that sport is all-male and so some of the female players decided that switching to Soccer — and trying to establish a professional league for that sport for themselves instead — might be a viable alternative: They were right, because that professional league was founded shortly after WC44 and so has now been in operation for over fifty years.

All of the players are actual Ursines (i.e. anthropomorpic, bipedal Bears)], except for any whom I actually specify as being members of other ‘peoples’ instead. The Harr'aynau people are physically human (more-or-less, anyway, although inclined towards heavy builds & hairiness), but are spiritually & culturally Ursine instead.

According to Bears Armed’s timeline, the qualifiers for WC59 take place in 2069-’70
AD, and the Cup proper in 2071AD: All figures given here for people’s ages and lengths of experience are the values applying in the first of those three years.
EDIT: Except for the new players #16 & #17, who joined the team a year after that start.

Staff

Manager & Chief Coach: Urra ‘Honey’ SunBlesséd _ A female Ursine from the Sun Clan, she has 64 years of experience in football and played for the Bear-Belles from BoF#31 right through into WC#57. She is now 81 years old but, although not amongst the people from the team’s former staff who were “rejuvenated” in 2042, still seems quite ‘young’ both physically and mentally. She is right-pawed, with ‘honey-brown’ fur, and has very good eyesight even by human (rather than Ursine) standards. She is a very accurate kicker, and was therefore one of the usual first choices for taking free kicks & penalties. Her nickname comes from her fur-colour, and her very sweet nature: Originally it was also because (as we must admit…) she was rather “thick”, but then she ‘grew-up’ mentally during WWC12 & the qualifiers for WC50 so that now she has a verrry good mind indeed… She acted as manager for the [“unified”] U21 teams that Bears Armed entered in DBC13 (=> runners-up) and DBC14 (=> quarter-finals), whilst WC58 (with its qualifiers) was her first competition in charge of the country’s senior team.

Deputy Manager (Admin): Amarra Marra o Harruor
(female Ursine, from Clan Harruor Erruur; formerly a staff member at BAAS, appointed to this job just before DBC21; age = 28, fur = medium-brown).

Doctor: Rebearrch’hra o RedRose
(female Ursine, from the RedRose ‘Free Sept’; age = 33, left-pawed, fur = medium brown with reddish highlights; hired just before DBC21.)

Physio: Behrthye NorthWalker
(female Harr’aynau [humanoid], from Clan WildWoods; age = 29, right-handed, hair = ginger; hired just before DBC21.)

Routemaster (this job involves handling all of the squad’s travelling arrangements): This is currently a part of Amarra Marra o Harruor’s duties.

Chaplain, ‘One Plus Seven’: Urrsulha Nightfall
(female Ursine from the Silver-of-Night; age = mid-30s, left-pawed, fur = silvery; assigned to this job, by the Great Medicine Society, just before the qualifiers for WC57.)

Chaplain, Ursion: Derrik Ommin
(male Ursine, from Clan Artorran; age = 35; right-pawed, fur = light brown & fairly short, he is a bit closer to ‘human’ in shape than is the average Ursine; seconded to this post from the staff of the ArchPriest of New Sarrum, who is the Earthly head of the Ursion Church; he is a keen student of Football, both nationally & internationally, and can bore for England Bears Armed on the details of teams’ records & players’ careers [and about the statistics involved, too: Did I mention yet that he originally trained as a statistician? ^_^ ] — if you give him even half a chance…)

Security Chief: Major Arran Warrd
(male Ursine, from Clan Herrchaum; age = 34, left-pawed, fur = dark grey; easily overlooked, most of the time; seconded from [an unspecified unit within] the Confederal Army to this job just before the qualifiers for WC57.)

Caterers: Jorrdon Blue.

“Mascot”: ‘The Wise Grorrfinn’ (male ‘TrueBear’; age = undisclosed [but considering some of his appearances in old stories apparently somewhere over 1’500, at least...], ambidextrous, fur = medium-brown); during WC54 it was revealed that he is the maternal grandfather of Urra ‘Honey’ SunBlesséd.

Roster

(#1) Marra o Mara _ Clan = BerryGlades; Home team = ‘Belgium FC’ (The Babbage Islands) (transferred shortly before WC#56’s qualifiers began), category & usual position = Goalkeeper, experience = 21 years, proven as a verrry good goalie; age = 35 years, left-pawed, fur = dark-medium brown. (DBC17 was her international debut.)

(#5) Arren Herthnhry _ Clan EastDale; home team = NorthPort Navigators, category & usual position = Goalkeeper, experience = 15 years; age = 29 years, right-pawed, fur = medium-brown shading to “red” on shoulders & back of neck. (She made her international debut in DBC18, as an [un-named] reserve, and was then lead goalkeeper for the ‘Baby Belles’ in DBC 19.)

(#32) Marranna NorthStar _ Clan = NorthStar [‘Free Sept’]; home team = NorthPort Novices, category & usual position = Goalkeeper, experience = 6 years; age = 19 years, right-pawed, fur = very light brown, she has very quick reflexes and keen senses. (She made her international debut in DBC21.)

(#2) Dorra o Starrhkan _ Clan = Seabear (in the Northlands), home team = Harr Borran Heroines, category = Defender or Midfielder, preferred position = Left Back or Midfield Left, experience = 26 years; age = 40, left-pawed, fur = light-medium brown. (DBC16 was her international debut.)

(#3) Beorra BigBear _ Clan = GreenWoods; Home team = Barrdenn Barbariennes, category = Defender, usual position = Right Back, experience = 28 years; age = 40 years, right-pawed, fur = dark-medium brown. (She made her international debut as a member of the smaller-than-planned team that Bears Armed sent to DBC15.)

(#2) Jhargeena o Wirrene _ Clan = Herrchaum, home team = Mighty Herrchaum, category = Defender, preferred position = Right Back, experience = 19 years; age = 34, right-pawed, fur = very light brown with some reddish hints; languages spoken = Verrene, Ursine ('HeartWoods' dialect), and English; religion = 'Wookha' ; she sometimes seems to have a sort of "sixth sense" about what's going to happen on the pitch during the next few moments; off of the pitch, she favours loose skirts and draped scarves in bright (& often contrasting) colours, with more jewellery than is typical for Ursines (i.e. her people's equivalent of a 'Gypsy chic' look…) in emulation of her [rather distant] relative Arna-Maggra… (The only new addition to the team for WC56, she had actually been short-listed for DBC17 but had to stay at home instead back then due to a family emergency…)

(#3) Irrie o Herrin _ Clan = Urrset (Northern); Home team = NorthGate Nomads, category = Defender, usual position = Left Back, experience = 16 years; age = 29 years, left-pawed, fur = russet. (She made her international debut in DBC18, as a substitute, and also then played as a starter in DBC19.)

(#16) Bruinhilda Addarich’-darthhrurr _ Clan = Vasrbora. Home team = LakePort Lionesses, category = Defender / (Defensive) Midfielder, preferred position = Left Back, experience = 6 years; age = 20, left-pawed, fur = very light brown, relatively light build. (This is her international debut.)

(#17) Samarh’hra GreenFells _ Clan = GreenWoods. Home team = River City, category = Defender, preferred position = Right Back, experience = 5 years; age = 20, ambidextrous, fur = medium-dark brown & quite [but not “excessively”] long. (This is her international debut.)

(#4) Hirrdhra o TrueHeart _ Clan = BerryGlades; Home team = Merlchester Rovers, category = Midfielder or Defender, usual position = Lynchpin, experience = 19 years; age = 29 years, left-pawed, fur = medium-brown with [natural] ‘strawberry’ highlights; seems to have a knack for anticipating opponents’ actions; also qualified as a Dream Interpreter. (She made her international debut in DBC18, as a starting Midfielder & the Captain, shifting to Lynchpin -- & still Captain – in DBC19, but some of you may also remember her as a spectator from WC54...) She is now this team’s Captain.

(#20) Taborra Sheerh _ Tiggrahth'hrra (i.e. anthropomorphic Tiger) _ Clan = Tiggrahth'hrra; Home team = Kingly City, category = Lynchpin or Midfielder or Forward, usual position = Lynchpin, experience = 12 years; age = 36 years, right-pawed, fur = black with orange stripes; "Fast and furious", she was widely credited with playing a major role in powering Kingly City's rise back up through the Upper Division from relegation-threatened to a regular place in the top four. (She made her international debut in WC57, joining the Belles after the qualifying stages of that tournament....)

(#26) Darrarlha o GoodSword _ Clan = Sun; Home team = Sun Valley Smashers, category = Defender or Lynchpin or Midfielder, usual position = Lynchpin, experience = 6 years; age = 20 years, ambidextrous, fur = blonde; a superlative player, and a good tactician. (She made her international debut in DBC21.)

(#6) Cierra o Vorross _ Clan = GreenWoods, home team = River City, category = Midfielder, usual position = Midfield Left, experience = 25 years; age = 38, left-pawed, fur = light brown with paler reddish highlights. (She made her international debut as a last member of the smaller-than-planned team that represented Bears Armed in DBC15, having travelled to that competition as a supporter but then been “drafted” to fill one of their vacant places due to her status as the ‘National Under-15 Keepy-Uppy Champion’…)

(#7) Karramarrsar Tharrarra _ Clan = Ostbora; Home team = OstPort Dynamo, category = Midfielder, usual position = Right Half, experience = 16 years; age = 29 years, right-pawed, fur = light brown; first cousin of # 14, with whom she works verrry well. (She made her international debut in DBC18, as a starter, and also filled that role during DBC19.)

(#20) Herra Harrhlach _ Clan = March, Harr’aynau humanoid; Home team = Mighty Marchers, category = Midfielder, usual position = Left Half, experience = 15 years; age = 29 years, left-footed, hair = russet; good enough that she’s already a professional player — albeit not in one of the country’s very best teams — at her current age. (She made her international debut in DBC18, as a reserve, and was also with the ‘baby Belles’ – this time as a starter – for DBC19.)

(#21) Urma Lightning _ Clan = Gunnar; Home team = Hero’s Park Heroines, category = Midfielder, usual position = Midfield Right, experience = 8 years; age = 21, right-pawed, fur = light brown. (She made her international debut in the Brevity Cup.)

(#11) Harrashia o Redwood _ Clan = Redwood; home team = Merlchester Rovers, category = Forward /Winger/Midfielder usual position = Left forward (‘Inside Left’), experience = 13 years; age = 26 years, ambidextrous, fur = medium-brown with hints of russet; she is a great-great-niece of Harroya “of the Rovers” o Redwood, former captain of the Bear-Belles, but gained this place on merit. (She made her international debut as a substitute in DBC 19, joining the Belles for WC57.)

(#12) Imbrhra/Umbrhra _ Clan = Chargh’ghrarr; Home team = Heroes’ Park Harlequins, category = Forward, usual position = Centre Forward, experience = 17 years; age = 27 years, left-pawed/right-pawed, fur = dark-medium brown & rather long; somewhat over 7’ tall and broad in proportion, but certainly not slow or clumsy; actually a pair of identical twins who count as a single person for legal purposes and who often act as though they share a single mind, the two halves of this player will normally stay close together on the pitch and might keep passing the ball back-&-forth. (She made her international debut in DBC18, as a substitute, and was then a starter for the ‘Baby Belles’ through DBC19, joining the Belles for WC57.)

(#13) Amarra Sunwatcher _ Clan = Sun; Home team = Sun Valley Sunbeams (Junior League), category = Forward, usual position = Right Forward (‘Inside Right’), experience = 10 years; age = 21 years, right-pawed, fur = “oatmeal” colour, eyesight good even by human standards, very fast on her feet, very accurate in ‘set pieces’ for which she is therefore one of the favoured takers. (She made her international debut in DBC20.)

(#24) Marrai Longday _ Clan = Sun (Northlands branch), home team = NorthGate Nomads, category = Forward or Winger, usual position = Left Forward [‘Inside Left’], experience = 25 years; age = 38, left -pawed, fur = blonde; sometimes [still] seems a bit ‘dizzy’ in personality, but a versatile player who is not only good at getting the ball but generous about sharing it with her team-mates too. (DBC16 was her international debut.)

[#25] Syrrae o Wirrenne _Clan = Herrchaum; Home team = Merlchester Rovers, category = Forward, usual position = Left Forward (Inside Left) but also good as Centre Forward, experience = 6 years; age = 20, left-pawed, fur = ‘platinum-blonde’; seems to have an [almost?] psychic instinct about where the ball and other players will be next. (She made her international debut in the Brevity Cup.)

(#27) Teddorhrra Thunder _ Clan = Gunnar; home team = Newton Arsenal, category = Forward or Winger, preferred & usual position = Right Forward (Inside Right), experience = 13 years; age = 25, right-pawed, fur = dark brown. She is the team’s Deputy Captain. (She made her international debut in DBC19, as a substitute, and was then a starter in DBC20.)

(#14) Karramarrsar Thyrrinthra _ Clan = Ostbora; Home team = OstPort Dynamo, category = Winger, usual position = Right Winger (‘Outside Right’), experience = 16 years; age = 29 years, right-pawed, fur = light brown; first cousin of #7, with whom she works well. (She made her international debut in DBC18, as a starter, and then filled the same role in DBC19, joining the Belles for WC57.)

(#15) Harrietta Karra o Hara _ Invisible Wabbit; Clan = BerryGlades (by adoption); home team = WideWindle Wanderers, category = Winger or Midfielder, usual position = Left Winger (' Outside Left'), experience = 5 years; age = ???, ambidextrous, fur = light grey; she is INVISIBLE to most "mundane" people, but those should still be able to see the kit that she's wearing; less likely to resort to "ridiculous" trickery than might be the case in an all-Wabbit team, but still quite likely to do things like using her long ears to hold the ball in place on top of her head or running along on her hands whilst juggling the ball with her feet, both of which would of course make tackling her [within the rules] rather difficult. (This is her international debut.)

(#30) Marra-Harra o Dusk _ Clan = Urrset; home team = Sun Valley Sunbeams (Junior League), category = Winger or [Attacking] Midfielder, preferred & usual position = Left Winger (Outside Left), experience = 6 years; age = 18, left-footed, fur= reddish-brown, good at getting in where she isn’t expected. (She made her international debut in DBC21.)

(#31) Terra-Uthrh’hra Lightning _ Clan = Gunnar. Home team = Newton Arsenal, category = Winger or [Attacking] Midfielder, preferred position = Right Winger (“Outside Right”), experience = 5 years; age = 20, right-pawed, fur = light brown. (This is her international debut.)

Usual Starters = #1-4, #6-7, #11-15.

___________________________________________________________________________

Style: Offensive, modifier = +3… ("A good offence is the best defence"...)
Their usual formation will include a front row of at least 5 (normally arranged as 3 strikers & 2 wingers), with 2 midfielders, 2 backs, and either a ‘Defensive Centre’ (whose starting position would be at the midpoint of an imaginary cross drawn between those other four non-forwards’ positions) or a third midfielder depending on the Manager’s decision before each match.

Godmod Scoring Events: Y

RP injuries to my players / Godmod injuries to my players / Hand out Yellow cards to my players / Hand out Red cards to my players: Y to all, at least to start with, but remember what I've written here and keep it in limits accordingly... Any serious offences by my players would probably result in injuries to your players, and causing any serious injuries to my players would probably require such obviously-deliberate attacks that your players would get yellow or even red cards as a result too. Don’t kill anybody, or inflict injuries that would be serious enough to end careers, without checking with me & getting my approval (which is unlikely to be granted…) first.

Godmod Other Events: Y, I suppose, at least as long as you do so in an AMUSING way... but please remember that Ursines are fully sapient beings, as much as Humans are, not instinct-driven animals. Oh, and of course female Ursines are not sexually interested in Humans (of either sex), and it's very unlikely that female Harr'ayanau would be either. Please don't have them run amok or outright revert to animality, without checking by TG first, don't make assumptions about their views on politics or religion, and don't do anything that would make more than one of them incapable of playing in their next game...

Kit: This incarnation of the team will normally wear the usual set of designs (from ‘ediraf’) that the Belles have favoured in the past, with the ‘Association’ badges correctly staying ‘BAAS’ rather than [the now obsolete] ‘BAMAS’. See "here" for details. However they will switch into copies of the NorthBears old violet-and-orange strip instead for Pink Cup matches.
Bears Armed has traditionally used base-8 arithmetic, for several reasons, and this has affected the set of numbers used for this team’s players: The number “22” has traditionally been left unassigned out of respect for its first [& only] wearer who died a heroine’s death during the year immediately following WC44, and now the number "10" has likewise been withdrawn from use…

Home grounds

All 'home' games will be held at Wimbley, except for the qualifiers against Megadia (on Match-day 4) and Felbah (on Match-day 9) which will both be held at NorthPort instead.

1/. Wimbley Stadium:[/b] Located a few miles to the north-north-west of Council Groves (our capital city), to which it is connected by rail as well as by road, this stadium was built from scratch — on part of a former Confederal Army base’s site — shortly before the qualifiers for WC52 began as a replacement for the Bear-Belles original “home” at ‘Plumtrees Park’ which has now been demolished. Its current capacity is approximately 60'000 for Ursines: Fitting about 40’000 humans into the visiting fans' half should be possible, and so that's as many as we'll let into the country. Accommodation for visiting teams & their staffs will be provided in a new hotel, less than a mile away, which has staff who are accustomed to dealing with Humans as well as with Ursines. The various other hotels in that complex and those at Council Groves can now provide about 12’000 rooms at a time, at varying prices, although of course some of those may already have been booked by people who have nothing to do with the Cup. Accommodation (at a fairly basic level) for up to 15’000 supporters will be available, at reasonable prices, in students' residences for the National University’s campus in that city: if any more than all of those facilities put together can house want to attend a match then they’ll have to borrow space in the area’s remaining Army camp instead...
There are still no direct inter-regional flights into Council Groves, so that visitors will have to travel by way of one of our neighbours and then continue onwards by one of the limited number of "local" air-flights or by rail. (People planning to arrive by rail will still have to travel via the nation of Mikitivity, but extra services will be organised on that route...)

2./ ‘NorthLands National Stadium’: Located at NorthPort, the most cosmopolitan city in The Ursine Northlands, this facility was originally built for use by the 'Northbears' WC49’s qualifiers. Unfortunately the place has since seen rather less use than was originally hoped, but it is still in good condition and will hold about 43’000 Ursines or over 60’000 humans (or, of course, proportionate numbers of a mixture of those two species) because it was deliberately built to be rather larger than 'Plumtrees Park' which was then the Mainland's 'national' stadium…
Foreigners coming to this stadium may either travel to the ‘Mainland’ and then continue hence via a set of ancient [& probably magical] ‘Gates’ that link the country’s two sections — completing their journey by either rail or riverboat after that — or take ship directly to NorthPort.

NOTES

Ursines may tend to be a bit less agile & slower to accelerate than humans on average, but this team's members were carefully selected so the gap between them & their opponents in this respect should be narrower than some people might expect. They do tend to have [slightly] poorer eyesight than humans, on the whole (although the members of both Clan Gunnar and the Sun Clan are generally an exception to this rule, and the eyesight of the latter group is actually often at [slightly] better-than-human levels instead), so long-distance passes & shots at goal will tend to be rarer behaviour for them than they are for human teams... but their typical size & strength mean that when they're running with the ball it will probably take a very brave human — as well as a very skilled one — to tackle them successfully (or, at least, one who has reasonable experience of playing against Ursines…), which should balance that factor pretty well. They don’t jump very well, but then they’re generally rather taller than most Human players to start with so they shouldn’t need to jump as often in order to intercept [relatively] high shots...
Ursines are physically robust, of course, which means that they're much less likely than humans are to suffer injuries in falls or collisions. The females of this species are more even-tempered than the males, and the team's members will try to stay on their best behaviour not only in order to do well in this contest but also to impress upon the watching humans that Ursines aren't just "dumb beasts". They will not 'dive', or feign injury in other ways, because suggesting that they could be harmed so easily goes strongly against the grain. ‘Northlanders’ are maybe not quite as "civilised" as the 'Mainlanders'… or, at any rate, that’s the traditional stereotype..
Cold weather should pose no problem to them, even if there's snow or ice on the pitch, but tropical heat might prove awkward...

Unless our hosts at the match in question object, this team's members (including the designated substitutes for the match in question) will perform a [fairly short] ritual that's called the 'harrdiharr' on the pitch just before play begins... This is a traditional war-dance, meant to over-awe opponents, that has come to be a customary prelude for team games as well (similar to the [RL] New Zealanders' 'haka'...). : )
As has now been seen during various tournaments, some of our fans like to take drums — and possibly also 'Urrs-horns' [which are similar to Alpenhorns, cow-horns, or other "musical instruments", too — along to the matches…

The team is accompanied by a number of sapient ravens, who are there both to gather information about the rival sides and to provide air cover in case of hostile waterfowl.

Firstly, the NSWiki page is not complete, but still worth a look...

Set piece preferences (in order):
Corner kick takers: Ibrahim, Kouli
Penalty takers: Roberts, A. di Corradi, Ibrahim, Lewis, Martelli, Barca-Carthy
Free kick takers: Ibrahim, A. di Corradi, Pepito
Long free kicks: Dhanda, Kinsella, Holland

You don't have to stick to that, though. It just fits in better with the way I intend to RP my team (when I can).

My RP Permissions are pretty chill to be honest.
Pretty much anything goes, I only ask that you let me decide the severity of any injuries you decide to RP for me, please.
Send my players off if you must -- if its a player I really didn't wanna lose for the next game, I'll RP an appeal or something.
Oh and at the risk of sounding a bit "RAWR" ... do not kill any of my players or coaching staff (unless I say go ahead via TG).
Killing fans is okay though. Go nuts with that if you like.

The team itself generally doesn't consciously defend. They press high up the pitch though and try to win the ball back as quickly as possible.
They will slow down when ahead later in the game, but only so they don't run up the score unnecessarily. Doesn't mean they wont take the opportunity to score if it presents itself.

Another thing that is important to know is that football isnt the number on sport in Osarius. Its second, to GraviBall.
Footballers are loved if they make tough tackles -- case in point, Serenity Lewis; and before her, Georgina Carsley -- because the combative nature of the game is what the fans like. Very passionate, are Osarian fans, you see.
Sooo... basically, if you're not scoring goals or making crunching tackles, the fans aren't impressed. That goes for opponents too... Osarian fans always appreciate a good tackle, so they will even applaud opposition players at times (although they will boo their goals, obvs).

From time to time I'll make reference to the area a player is from, and when I do, I will try to add an OOC note to explain what it means, because different regions of Osarius have almost entirely different cultures. For example, Tubrissian people's habits and sayings are heavily based on Phoenician/Carthaginian culture and religious beliefs.

Manager: Alain Montblanc
Montblanc's rise to the top job perhaps became inevitable after Benedict di Corradi and Elissa Barca-Carthy had their war of words, and Donovan MacLean's Callisto City began to falter in the King's League. Rather than risk causing friction by appointing Barca-Carthy, or undertake a perceived risk of embarassment under the no-longer fancied MacLean, Lord Kenterbury's board opted for the highly rated coach of the Flying Sparks -- the Osarian under 21s -- to step up. Considering Montblanc had coached several senior players during their younger days, and had led the under-21s to two Di Bradini Cup finals, it was considered a no-risk move. After a shaky start to his reign, Montblanc settled in well and has earned a lot of respect from pundits and players alike. However, the fans are yet to be won over by his tactics. Having become accustomed to balls-out offensive play under di Corradi, many have found it hard to warm to Montblanc's more cerebral approach, and the possession game. The man himself is unconcerned however, shrugging off critics in a manner not too dissimilar to his predecessor.

Assistant Managers: Rodrigo Hernandez
In the past, Hernandez served as Montblanc's mentor, making it perhaps a little strange to see him act as his number two now. However, Hernandez's presence is perhaps best suited to the assistant role. Rather than have to face all the pressures and stresses of national team management alone, Montblanc has someone he can trust implicitly to support him. Hernandez, a youth coach primarily, is perhaps not well suited to handling the egos of the Osarian senior side, either. This arrangement allows them to support each other in order to best serve the national side.

Coaches: Maurice Simmons, Jeffrey Allen, Gerald Cole
Simmons, Allen and Cole all have a strong rapport with the players, which helped the transition between di Corradi and Montblanc. They all appear to get on well with Montblanc, sharing several views on coaching philosophy. As a result, they have all remained, meaning their combined wealth of knowledge and experience is still a major benefit to Osarius' players. Particularly the youngsters Montblanc intends to bring through.

Specialist Coaches: Onyibo Oduoza (goalkeeping), Claudio Traga (fitness)
Oduoza once trained under the now-legendary Enzo Corradini at Hollybrent, and is credited with turning Orlando Florian into the legendary keeper he became. A cerebral man, Oduoza sometimes employs strange methods to bring out the best in his charges, and to develop vital skills. Few can argue with his results, however. Traga, on the other hand, is perhaps best known among sports fans back home for his past career as a Boxer. Upon retirement, Traga's love of sport led him to study sports science at Utica University, where he learnt to combine his boxing experience with science know-how to develop fitness regimes for professional sportsmen (and women). His system, The Lightstrike Method, is used in most professional sports clubs in Osarius as a major part of training, particularly during the off-season.

Medical Staff: Daniel Chambers (physiotherapist), Dr. Sarah Bocchetti (team doctor)
Chambers and Bocchetti are also old friends of the former manager, Benedict di Corradi, but their reputation within the OFA is high. Both have strong rapports with the players, too, making them invaluable members of the backroom staff.

Typical Starting Lineup

[ 4-2-3-1 ]

Roberts
Hendricks ----- A. di Corradi ----- Ibrahim
Gonzalez --- Lewis (c)
Jenkins -- Kinsella -- Steele -- Kouli
Corradini

Roberts is capable of playing as a target-man, or on the shoulder of the last defender. Typically he prefers to try and beat the offside trap and latch onto through balls into the channels with his enviable pace, while stretching the gap between midfield and defence as much as possible. When playing alongside Maria di Corradi, he will tend to drop deeper to win flick-ons and such, while she presses forward for goals.

Ibrahim and Hendricks often switch flanks, giving the Firebirds two inverted wingers, leaving a lot of space on the flanks for their advancing fullbacks. Rarely will both wingers tuck in at once, though, with the other staying wide or pushing up to support the point forward.
Both Pepito and Alessandro di Corradi like to play "between the lines", relying on the movement of those ahead, and the passing of those behind. Essentially operating in a free-role, they have a knack for popping up in the most dangerous position. The main difference between the two is that di Corradi is more likely to get forward quickly into space, while Pepito tends to dribble forward or arrive late for long range efforts.
Dhanda Gonzalez will often be playing the deep-lying playmaker (regista) role, or the defensive "holding" role, while Lewis will be more likely to play a dynamic "box-to-box" role. Lewis can and will, on occasion, drop deep to allow Dhanda Gonzalez to more directly influence play, however.
Habib Kouli loves to get forward, while Jenkins is more defensive by nature. Kouli's overlapping often causes problems for defences, but does sometimes leave the Firebirds vulnerable to counter-attacks down the right flanks. At these times, Lewis is most likely to fill in, unless N'Daw is on the field.
Both Kinsella and Steele are pretty confident on the ball, and like to play the ball out of defence. However, Steele tends to push up from the back line more often to aggressively win the ball, while Kinsella is tasked with "sweeping up".

The squad itself changes often, as Montblanc likes to try and give younger players more appearances to aid their development -- he was the national under 21s coach, after all -- alongside more experienced players. He doesn't like to change his back four too much though, except in cases where one fullback might change specifically to counter an opposing threat, for example. He certainly doesn't like to mix up the central defensive pairings very often at all though... For example, Steele tends to play alongside Kinsella, so it's unlikely Montblanc would play him alongside Ayala or Pugh. More likely, if Kinsella is unavailable, Steele would be benched, and an entirely new defensie partnership (and potentially whole new back four) would step in.

Montblanc also emphasises versatility from his players, meaning almost every player must be accomplished at playing another role in the team if required. Secondary positions can be guessed or assumed if you like. I don't mind.

With Osarius' qualification for the World Cup proper, Alain Montblanc has trimmed his "pool" to provide a World Cup squad of 23 players.

A note on transfers: I will rarely ever advertise players on the transfer market. If you want to request one of the players in this squad for transfer to your domestic league you need only ask via TG, however a successful request is not guaranteed.

A Brief History:
After debuting in a series of regional friendlies, Chetkosk began their international football career with a spirited but flawed appearance at the 43rd Baptism of Fire - though many claim Chetkosk's downfall was partly due to an unlucky draw against the tougher half of the tournament, Yevgeni Byshovetsiy was quick to claim the majority of the faults lay with his decisions, eventually resulting in the Puffins crashing out in the quarter-finals. Following this partial success the exact same squad went on to shock pundits worldwide as Chetkosk performed above and far beyond what was expected of them in the qualifying campaign of the 56th World Cup. The Puffins are one of only a select handful of nations to have ever qualified for the World Cup finals on their first attempt.

The following World Cup saw further success when the Puffins not only qualified for the finals, but also earned some points and narrowly avoided moving forward into the round of 16. Last time round the Puffins once again qualified for the finals after a significantly flawed performance in the qualifying stage, though they again failed to advance beyond the group stage. This places Chetkosk in the very small group of nations who have never failed to qualify for the World Cup proper, something that the weathered veterans of Chetkoski football are forever proud of. They now seek to advance further, and with new players being shuffled into the squad with the veterans, it remains to be seen if they have the capacity to do just that...

Main Staff:
Manager: BYSHOVETSIY, Yevgeni - Aged 55
Yevgeni Abram Byshovetsiy took the role of managing Chetkosk's national team after being forced to leave the domestic club CSKA Tomska. Most of his critics were silenced by his performance during Chetkosk's Baptism of Fire campaign, but it wasn't until a stunning qualifying effort lead to the Puffins reaching the finals of the 56th World Cup that he well and truly demonstrated his ability to successfully manage the national squad. Yevgeni is a sly tactician, has a loud and powerful character and is fully prepared to think outside the box to form new strategies.

Assistant: GRUSCHMAN, Pyotr - Aged 35
Pyotr Gruschman has an extra-ordinary talent for administration - he takes care of red tape and paperwork so Byshovetsiy doesn't have to (nor does he ever want to). Although he is far less extravertive compared to his superior, he always makes sure he is heard on the rare occasions that he does speak before the team, and his words carry many years of combined knowledge and wisdom in the sport.

Head Coach: TOLSCHTIYK, Vladim - Aged 44
Vladim Tolschtiyk is a retired player who spent the last six years of his career with CFR Dynamo Vilychek. He regularly works as a guest lecturer in Sports and Physiological Science at many Chetkoski universities and he demands a high level of knowledge and ability in his coaching staff. Vladim is adept at noticing psychological and physiological problems in the players well ahead of time - his reports of squad fitness, form and morale are rarely anything but accurate. Recently his team has been bolstered by Igor Mostovoi, the now retired star of Chetkosk's defence.

Squad:
GK: SCHERBAK, Anatoli - #1 - aged 23 - Atlético Central (Cafundéu)
80 caps
Scherbak won himself a place on the starting lineup through some excellent performances in the Baptism of Fire, and has taken on the number one goalkeeping role from Vasili Opuytsk following his recent retirement. His ability to dive in peculiar directions in a split second make him an ideal international goalkeeper, and following World Cup 56 he secured a transfer to Cafundéu. He is a rising star, but is prone to small, recurring injuries that remove him from action for a game at a time.

LB: KASAEV, Diniyar - #2 - aged 31 - Grêmio Lux (Cafundéu)
81 caps, 2 goals
Kasaev used to be starting left back for CSKA Tsaritin Saints, a club that regularly enjoys a top five finish in the Chetkoski domestic league. He was also transferred to Cafundéu after World Cup 56, and the Saints' left defence has looked weaker ever since. He is a solid player and his foul tally is one of the lowest in the squad, but he is notorious for his inability to cure his pungent foot smell post game.

CB: ONOPKO, Aleksandr - #3 - aged 28 - FKM (Kagdazka & Pazhujebu)
78 caps, 1 goal
Aleksandr made his mark on the squad with his great height, towering over the other players and dominating the penalty box. His long stride ensured he can get back to defend against all but the fastest of breaks, though he does have a tendency to play people on-side. Onopko spent a long time in domestic clubs before being recognised by foreign scouts, and has enjoyed playing in Kagdazka and Pazhujebu

RB: MAKHSENEV, Viktor - #5 - aged 24 - CSKA Tomska
55 caps
Makhsenev is a young player who has great pace and speed along the wing. He is also blessed with an ability to avoid injury, and has never missed an international game due to injury during his time on the squad. His recent promotion to the starting 11 has come due to the retirement of Anton Smertin, a legendary Chetkoski player who has left a tough legacy to follow for those who take his place.

LM: TSARAPKIN, Iosif - #6 - aged 25 - Echegoyan FC (Astograth)
46 caps, 3 goals
Tsarapkin adds a utility element to the midfield, and is also seen as Borodiuk's apprentice. His talent for dead balls has allowed him to take on the role that his mentor used to fill, and he will certainly feel the pressure of the nation's eyes upon him when it comes to going for goal as the Puffins 1st choice set piece taker.

CM: VORONIN, Marko - #7 - aged 32 - Chitlanqaxl (Alta Moqoexa)
59 caps, 7 goals
Voronin is an accomplished sportsman, playing for the largest club in Alta Moqoexa, and inspired his younger brother to follow him into the professional sporting world - though his brother is a rugby man. Marko has been plagued with groin injuries in the past, and it was questionable whether or not he would play for much longer, but his current form looks hopeful.

CM: OBSTANTOV, Georgi - #8 - aged 29 - CSKA Tsaritin Saints
70 caps, 4 goals
This centre midfielder takes a long time to break form - whether it's good form or bad. As such he is a steady and reliable presence in the midfield and can often act as a lynchpin for the Chetkosk team to really around. For the time being, he has taken on the captain's armband from Heimpfel, who has also retired.

RM: SIMIERTINO, Alexey - #9 - aged 29 - Primorsky Cape FC
72 caps, 6 goals
Alexey was originally a relatively unknown member of the starting lineup until his domestic team won the previous season's playoff and were promoted to the premier league. He has enjoyed a step up in his media coverage since then, and has not yet tired of the invasion into his private life. A constant source of stick for his teammates is the large number of modelling contracts that Alexey completes on the side of his sporting duties.

AM: KURZHAKOV, Roman - #10 - aged 26 - TSG Krasnonar
63 caps, 18 goals
Roman has taken the place of Chetkoski legend Nico Tussak in attacking midfield, and has thus far made a superb job of filling his boots. He is not afraid to run the entire pitch several times over if he has to, and can cause a hinderance to the opposing team by being in places they don't expect him to be. Through his energetic efforts each game Roman has become an attractive target for foreign transfer.

ST: ANYUKOV, Joachim - #11 - aged 27 - Racing Club Liyakovski
38 caps, 5 goals
Anyukov is a tall and built individual whose strength in his foot more than makes up for his slow running speed. He also has no problems playing the entire game and putting all of his effort into each touch of the ball. Torbinskiy's recent retirement left a gap in the attack, allowing Anyukov to get a lot more time off the bench and on the pitch.

CF: PUZIN, Tomislav - #22 - aged 25 - Quite sure I sent this player abroad somewhere, but I can't remember where
46 caps, 27 goals
Puzin is a solid striking talent that found his way into high level football with the AZS Kemenovsk Rangers' highly successful grass roots programme. His recent move to premier league club Oransberg St. Thunder has thrust him into the limelight and he is now considered a strong starting forward.

Default 3-5-2 Formation:

Reserve:
GK: DOLGONOSOV, Nikolev - #20 - aged 25 - FC Kedesk Harbour
4 caps
Dolgonosov performs well when facing penalties due to his ability to keep and calm and cool head.

GK: GABULOV, Denis - #23 - aged 30 - Zenit Berlinengrad
1 cap
Gabulov remains the third choice goalkeeper despite his experience over the younger Scherbak.

CB: ZENIZEV, Klement - #4 - aged 22 - Red Star Kemenovsk FC
0 caps
Zenizev is a product of the Red Star Kemenovsk FC grass roots programme. He rarely gets to play for his club, but he has succeeded in performing well in trials for the national squad.

CB: BESCHASTYN, Vladimir - #16 - aged 28 - Torpedo Yaroslavl
45 caps, 1 goal
Beschastyn is seen in many ways as Mostovoi's apprentice. He admires the older player and aspires to be as vital to the team as Igor is now.

LB: BYKO, Arkady - #12 - aged 21 - Txatalactan (Alta Moqoexa)
23 caps
Byko is a new young talent who already has experience playing abroad. His tackles are hard, but usually accurate.

RB: KANATOVA, Boris - #18 - aged 21 - CSKA Tsaritin Saints
0 caps
Kanatova is a new name from the Tsaritin Saint defence, and is rather unique in that he is the only member of the squad who suffers from Obsessive Compulsive Syndrome. Naturally, the rest of the squad take every opportunity to mess up his carefully arranged possessions.

CM: ZOLKIN, Stanislav - #21 - aged 23 - CSKA Smolensk
0 caps
Zolkin is a short individual, but very quick on his feet, who finds his low centre of gravity useful when taller opposing players attempt to push him around the pitch, as they usually do.

CM: GROMYKO, Yefin - #13 - aged 19 - AIK Vilnosnyvetzsny Ice
0 caps
Yefin Gromyko is a distant relation of nor retired captain Sebastien Heimpfel, and thus found his inspiration a little closer to home than most. He now hopes to attain his first international caps.

LM: SILVIRIDOV, Immanuil - #19 - aged 20 - Zenit Berlinengrad
0 caps
Immanuil is a lightning fast wing player who always plays aggressively. He prides himself on the quality of his crosses and keeps his head up to retain a sense of what is going on around him.

CM: KONDRATENKO, Lev - #15 - aged 24 - AIK Vilnosnyvetzsny Ice
19 caps
Kondratenko is a relatively new addition to the squad, bringing a strong tactical mind that is very useful in his position as a defensive midfielder.

ST: CHASTAKORLENKA, Oleg - #17 - aged 24 - CFR Dynamo Vilychek
0 caps
Oleg Chastakorlenka is an orphan from the city of Vilychek. It is there that he found his lucky break in the inner city sports regimes and he was snapped up to the youth teams for CFR Dynamo Vilychek. He has suffered with a serious calf injury for several years and has now only just returned to the professional football sphere.

RF: BELOI, Semyon - #14 - aged 18 - Viking Kzerstavo
0 caps
Beloi has dual nationality, his father being of Malaysian origin (OOC note: this nationality is open for replacement with any "eastern" themed nation rather than a real one), but chooses to live and play in Chetkosk. He plays for Viking Kzerstavo in the cold northern province of Kedrovyna.

Kits
Slightly unusually the Ancharmunn & Aels team will use two very different home kits during the tournament. The predominantly white kit is the Charmunnry kit to be worn in matches hosted in Ancharmunn whilst the predominantly green kit, despite looking like a tribute to Astograth is in fact the Aelsh kit and will be worn in matches hosted in Aels. The red and yellow hooped kit will be worn in all away games as long as it doesn't clash with the kit of the host team. Should it do so whichever home kit the referee deems to be the best compromise will be used instead. In finals tournaments each of the three kits will be worn on at least one occasion, with the Charmunnry kit taking priority after this has been achieved.

Stadiumises

Without a designated national stadium Ancharmunn will play at various grounds around the nation. Some minor controversy was caused during the last tournament by no games being held in Aels, despite Tyneala's (as this team should perhaps more accurately be named) largest association football ground being in the Aelsh city of Drayfill. This however has been remedied for the World Cup 59 campaign. The three grounds to be used are listed below, along with the venues for the six home fixtures.

Paradise - Ballyfeeaknock – 8000
Image

Free Stone Stadium – Drayfill (Aels) – 19000
There are no pictures of it, no photographer has ever survived a trip there.

Old Chicken Ranch - Ballymairead – 4500

MD2 FSSO (Paradise)
MD4 The Kytler Peninsulae (Free Stone Stadium)
MD6 Karditan (Old Chicken Ranch)
MD10 Cassadaigua (Free Stone Stadium)
MD12 Civil Citizenry (Paradise)
MD14 Hanox (Old Chicken Ranch)

First of all, everyone except newbies knows that the Archregimancy is a nation of Eastern Orthodox Christian monks from an alternate reality, right?

Though the Archregimancy failed to qualify for World Cup 58 - going from WC semifinalists to Cup of Harmony participants in just two cups - the Monastic Football Association has decided to stick with Fr. David of the Woods following the encouraging signs arising from the qualified success of the more attacking approach used in Cup of Harmony 50.

COACH -
Fr. David of the Woods:

Image
A former international goalkeeper for both Errinundera and the Archregimancy, Fr. David is a controversial choice as national team coach. Not because of his knowledge of either football or Ordinary Reality teams, but because before defecting from Errinundera and converting to the Orthodox Church, he was the notoriously dissolute and immoral publicly genderqueer owiavi. While both the Holy Synod, Monastic Football Association and his brothers at the Holy Monastery of Solovetsky all happily accept that his conversion to the ascetic monastic life is wholly genuine (and that Fr. David is wholly male), more conservative elements in the Archregimancy question his suitability as a role model. His appointment to the position may represent a rare outbreak of pragmatism on the part of the Monastic Football Association.

ASSISTANT COACH:
Fr. Innocent of Ariddia Had hoped to leave involvement in football entirely following his second playing retirement after WC58, but has grudgingly agreed to stay on as an assistant for the next two cups, if only to guarantee some form of involvement by an Ariddian in WC60.

GOAL
Fr. Timothy of the Victorious XI
Championship goalkeeper for the Holy Monastery of St. John of New Patmos when they miraculously won the Monastic League for the first time in some 246 seasons of footballing futility, Fr. Timothy has many admirers both in the Dreamed Realm and Ordinary Reality.

DEFENCE
Fr. Anastasius the Troglodyte
In Orthodox monastic terms, a troglodyte is not some mythical creature, but rather a hermit who lives in an isolated cave, usually underground. Fr. Anastasius is rather pale-skinned.

Fr. Anthony the Sleepless Previously the disgraced New Montreal States center back Antoine Long, Fr. Anthony has now taken Orthodox monastic vows, has received dispenstation from the NMS federation to play for the Archregimancy, and attempts to expiate the sins of his youth through prayerful all-night vigils. Let's just hope he stays awake during the game.

Fr. Peter the Non-Martyr Fr. Peter's defensive determination is rumoured to stem from the sense of guilt he feels in escaping martyrdom for the faith during an unpleasant incident in Northern Bettia about which he refuses to speak further.

Fr. George the Perfumer One of the few holdovers from the WC57 team, Fr. George has, in holiness, kept his body untouched by water for some 25 years now, that he may better worship the Lord without distraction. Whether his name refers to his role as incense keeper at the Holy Monastery of St. Saba's in the Desert, or to his unique personal aroma is a matter of some debate; opposing forwards may wish it was the former.

MIDFIELD
Fr. Irenaeus the Ascetic
Another holdover from the WC57 team. Even in an entire nation of monks who often engage in severe ascetic hermit practices, Fr. Irenaeus stands out. He eats a single bowl of beans a day, drinks nothing but rain water, and is known to run tirelessly between the caves in his mountain hermitage. But as thin as he undoubtedly is, there's no doubting that he's supremely fit, and will run many a defender into the ground.

Fr. Maximus the Confessor His searching eye for the laser-like defense-splitting pass is akin to his ability to force even the most wretched of sinners to repent of their wrongdoing; said to have joined the squad at Fr. David's personal request.

Br. Neophytus the Novice In a rare case of a monk who is not a monk-priest being called up to the squad, Br. Neophytus may be new to the monastic life, but his footballing ability is unquestioned. A former professional midfielder for Holy Empire side New Nicea, this genuinely devout player likely would have been called up to the Imperial squad some cups ago if HEFA had ever decided to field human footballers in recent campaigns. The Archregimancy isn't complaining about his availability.

Fr. Euthymius the Great In yet another sign of renewed MFA footballing pragmatism, Fr. Euthymius has joined the squad in recognition of his leading the scoring and assist charts for perennial Monastic League powerhouses Pantocrator MFC this past season. No mean feat for a right winger.

FORWARDS
Fr. Stephen the Wonderworker
Gained his nickname after a game where he scored a goal with an audacious chip from the centre circle, followed by an astounding free kick from 30 metres out, and a hattrick-completing goal direct from a corner; truly a miraculous sequence of events.

Fr. Laurence MC Monky L-Man Previously a quiet and reclusive forward for Hermits United MFC, Fr. Laurence was the player of the tournament in Cup of Harmony 50. His decision to set aside his former reclusive lifestyle and become the monastic rapper MC Monky L-Man has, however, raised eyebrows.

SUBS
GK -
Fr. Hilarion of New Patmos
DEF -
Fr. Barachisius the Happy
Fr. Mark the Twice-Widowed
MID -
Fr. Theodore the Fool for Football
Fr. Eustratius the Obscure
FOR -
Fr. Arsenius the Fortunate
Fr. Anthony the Boot Polisher

Formation:
The Archregimancy always plays an orthodox 4-4-2; however, after more than 30 World Cups of playing a neutral style, Fr. David is going on the attack (though not quite all-out attack) - style modifier +3.

Team Icon

The team is always accompanied to matches by the Holy Icon of the Mother of God, Bringer of Victory, which shall be paraded before the team before all home and away qualifiers. The Holy Icon looks like:

Tips for footballing visitors to the Archregimancy:

1) Each home match is preceded by the complete Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom. Rest assured that this should only require visiting teams, fans, and officials to stand for a mere 2 hours before kickoff. Consider yourselves lucky we don't use the Liturgy of St. Basil.

2) We control the nature of reality in the Dreamed Realm. This isn't used to cheat - all normal rules of football are strenuously followed - but it does have two major side effects:
A) Any injuries to either team in Archregimancy home matches are immediately healed.
B) No violent or riotous behaviour by visiting fans will be tolerated. Any such behaviour will find those responsible immediately transported back to ordinary physical reality.

3) Direct travel from ordinary physical reality to the Dreamed Realm is impossible. Some 72 hours before your away qualifier in the Archregimancy, a team of monks shall arrive in your home stadium and construct a portal to the Dreamed Realm. You may then use this to travel to the Archregimancy at your leisure.

4) Visiting support is limited to a maximum of 5,000 fans as this campaign the Archregimancy will be playing in a smaller home stadium.

5) Women are not usually permitted into the Archregimancy. Exceptions will be made for visiting players and properly accredited officials - largely because we have to.

6) Formerly, the Archregimancy made a point of being resentful of being forced to permit atheists, communists, freemasons, assorted heretics and foul excelites into the Archregimancy for home qualifiers. These days the Monastic Football Association tries a little harder to welcome all of the above – though largely in the hope that might just possibly be open to conversion through a slightly more conciliatory approach.

HOME GROUND

The MFA will host matches in the beautiful Arctic Slavic-tradition monastery of Solovetsky.

It will be cold.

And remember... Monks don't cheat. Please.

OOC: I realise my team might present a role-playing challenge. Rest assured that once they start playing they'll play just like any other team (though they might be a bit more inclined to pray after scoring), so I have no problem with you treating the team like any other if you don't want to deal with the Orthodox Christian element.

THE HOLY EMPIRE WC 59 SQUAD

While the nation took a long break between WCs 8 and 24 (inclusive), the Holy Empire is proud to be the last currently active nation to have participated in WC1.

A team of normal football-playing humans? Has the Holy Empire Football Association gone insane? Just what is HEFA thinking?

OOC - Holy Empire RPs are intentionally written backwards this WC. You may quickly and easily translate Holy Empire RPs via this website: http://www.bored.com/writebackwards/

Goal:
Nicetas Triphyllioso

Defence:
Jose Styppeiotes
Andronicus Ducaso
Gregorio Iberitzes

Midfield:
Constantine Ducaso
Leo Phocaso
John Garidaso
Pothos Argyro
John Curcuaso

Forwards:
Stephen Contostephanoso
Philaretos Brachamio

Subs:
GK - Andronicus Ducaso
DEF - Isaac Comneno; Gregory Pacuriano
MID - Adrianus Comneno; Alexius Gidoso
FOR - Hector Vatatzes; Manuel Ducaso-Lascaro

Coaches:

The team coach remains World Cup Hall of Fame legend Juan Tzimisces

The assistant coaches are World Cup Hall of Fame legend Simeone Di Bradini, originally a Starblaydi - allegedly - and World Cup legend (though not in the Hall of Fame because I'm too lazy to update the Wiki) monosyllabic caveman Ug-Ug.

The Holy Empire always registers the coaches as players, just in case.

Kit
The squad will wear the famous Imperial Gold and Red, as worn by the Holy Empire since WC1 (home left, change/away right)

Image

Ground
Home matches take place in the jewel-encrusted and gold and platinum-domed Imperial Hippodrome.

Style Modifiers / formation
Frosty football is attacking football. The Holy Empire always plays a 3-5-2 formation using overlapping wingers that turns into 3-3-4 on the counterattack.

OOC'ly, the team uses the maximum attacking style modifier permitted by each cup's hosts (+5 here).

RP instructions:
With two exceptions described below, knock yourselves out - creative RP is encouraged.

Please remember that the basic rules for travel to the Archregimancy [see above] also apply to the Holy Empire - you'll need someone to build a portal for you, you can't just fly/walk/drive there. If you want to deal with the malleable reality and non-linear time elements of the Dreamed Realm, and have no prior experience of these, it's probably best to check with me first.

Only I can decide if and when I might choose to field the coaches as players; please don't do this unilaterally.
Τί ἐστιν ἀλήθεια?

Armed Bears
(alias ‘The Bear-Belles’...)

For the information of those amongst you who are fairly new to NS Sports: Yes, this is is a team — and nation — consisting primarily of anthropomorphic Bears.
For the information of those amongst you who have already been around NS Sports for a while: Yes, this nation does have the same player as Bears Armed… but IC, instead of this nation being a ‘puppet’ of that other country, they are actually ‘alternative reality’ counterparts of each other and didn’t even know of each other’s existence before this tournament.
The current year in Armed Bears converts into the Gregorian calendar as 2017AD, even though for footballers from Bears Armed (whose own international debut, BoF31, was in 2008AD…), it is now 2069AD instead!

This is another all-female team, for the same reason that Bears Armed’s team falls into that category: The main ball-game that's traditionally been played in their homeland so far is actually a form of Rugby, but [for several reasons] the professional league for that sport is all-male and so a few years ago (in 2006AD, actually) some of the female players decided that switching to Soccer instead -- and trying to establish a professional league for that -- might be a viable alternative.

This is the same set of players that the country sent to B0F#45 and WC#58, except that they now have that additional experience (and age). I still need to update the figures given below for those factors, which requires adding 4 years to each of them.

Almost all of the players are actual Ursines (i.e. anthropomorpic, bipedal Bears), but there are also two [female] members from the Harr'aynau people -- who are physically human (more-or-less, although inclined towards heavy builds & hairyness) but spiritually & culturally Ursine instead -- as well one player from yet another non-Ursine minority.

(Ursine female, from Clan Urrset; formerly manager of the 'Royal Engineers' team.)

(#4) Marra SunDaughter _ Clan = Sun, home team = 'Sun Valley Smashers', category = Midfielder or Defender, usual position = Centre Half or Centre Back, Soccer experience = 8 years experience; age = 27, left-pawed, fur = golden-brown, good eyesight even by human (rather than Ursine) standards. She is the team's CAPTAIN.

(#7) Beorra ‘The Locomotive’ o Barrdenn _ Clan = GreenWoods, home team = 'Barrdenn Barbariennes', category = Striker, usual position = Left Forward, Soccer experience = only 3 years but also has 6 years of Rugby experience from before that; age = 27, left-pawed, fur = medium brown. Her nickname comes from the fact that she's big, fast, tough, and definitely intimidating...
(#10) Urra ‘Honey’ SunBlessed _ Clan = Sun, home team = ‘Sun Valley Smashers’, category = Forward or Midfielder, usual position = Centre Forward, Soccer experience = 5 years; age = 21, right-pawed, fur = honey-brown, very good eyesight even by human (rather than Ursine) standards. She is a very accurate kicker, and therefore the usual first choice for taking free kicks & penalties; her nickname comes from her fur-colour, her very sweet nature, and (it must be admitted) the fact that she's a bit thick (but her 5 years experience of Soccer means that, by now, she's pretty unlikely to make the mistake of trying to play Rugby instead despite that thickness...).

(#11) Karramarsar Sarra _ Clan = Ostbora, home team = 'Victories of Vichr', category = Striker/Winger, usual position = either Right Forward or Right Winger, Soccer experience = 5 years; age = 21, right-pawed, fur = medium brown & fairly long. She is the identical twin sister of Karramarsar Karra, #13, with whom she has a close mental rapport that’s very useful for teamwork, and they're both pretty bright anyway.
(#13) Karramarsar Karra _ Clan = Ostbora, home team = 'Victories of Vichr', category = Striker/Winger, usual position = either Right Forward or Right Winger, Soccer experience = 5 years; age = 21, right-pawed, fur = medium brown & fairly long. (#24) Marrla o GreenWoods _ Clan = GreenWoods, home team = 'National U Tigers', category = Striker, preferred position = Centre Forward, Soccer experience = 3 years; age = 21, left-pawed, fur = dark brown.
(#25) Beorranna o Dawn _ Clan = Urrset, home team = ‘Sun Valley Smashers’, category = Striker/Winger, preferred position = Left Forward, Soccer experience = 4 years; age = 20, right-pawed, fur = light brown with a red tinge.
(#26) Burli Shassie _ Clan = Eastern League, home team = ‘Mirron Marvels’, category = Striker, preferred position = Left Forward, Soccer experience = 6 years; age = 25, left-pawed, fur = light brown; actually wants to become a professional singer.
(#32) Harroya ‘of the Rovers’ o Redwood _ Clan = Redwood, home team = Merlchester Rovers, category = Striker, preferred position = Right Forward, Soccer experience = 7 years; age = 22, left-pawed, fur = light brown; she will NOT break the rules (not even at the 'yellow card' level), managing to be an “attacking” player without being an “aggressive” one... Good at setting up goals for her team-mates, but only seems to score herself when the team really NEEDS that goal.

(#12) Ulga WestWalker _ Clan = WildWoods), home team = [just signed by] ‘LakePort Lionesses’, category = Winger or Midfielder, usual position = either Left Winger or Midfield Left, Soccer experience = 8 years; from the Harr’ayanau people, age = 25, right-footed, red-haired, very fast on her feet.
(#27) Harroya ‘She-Lion’ Lightning _ Clan = Gunnar, home team = 'LakePort Lionesses', category = Winger, preferred position = Left Winger, Soccer experience = 5 years; age = 20, left-pawed, fur = light brown.
(#30) Marranna o Westside _ Clan = WestWoods, home team = 'WestPort Wanderers', category = Winger, preferred position = Left Winger, Soccer experience = 5 years; age = 19, right-pawed, fur = dark-medium brown..
(#31) Verrina Serrnarra’s-daughter _ Clan = Verravokssur (Free Sept), home team = 'Vasrrorgrath Valkyrrs', category = Winger, preferred position = Right Winger, Soccer experience = 4 years; a member of the Verra’vokkssur people (who are anthropomorphic foxes; that’s as in fairly LARGE anthropomorphic foxes, she’s 6’1” tall), age = 23, ambidextrous, fur = orange-red.

Usual Starters = #1-8, 11-13.
Usual Substitutes = # 14, 15, 20, 23-25, 27.

They will favour a decidedly attacking style, even if ‘Style modifiers’ aren’t being used in this tournament… “A good offence is the best defence”... and remember, that some of these players have more experience of Rugby than they do of Soccer. ;) Their usual formation will include a front row of at least 5 (normally as 3 strikers & 2 wingers), plus either 3 midfield & 2 backs or 2 midfield & 3 backs, plus of course the goalkeeper.

Kits
Home = bright yellow, with the bear's-paw emblem (as on the national flag) in bright green on both front & back of the shirt.
Away = bright green, with the bear's-paw emblem (as on the national flag) in bright yellow on both front & back of the shirt.
Goalkeepers = shirt “quartered” (both front & back) in yellow & green, with bears-paw emblem in maroon. Shorts yellow on left & green on right, socks vice versa.
(Identifying numbers & players’ names will be in black if on yellow, or in white if on green: Armed Bears has traditionally used base-8 arithmetic, for several reasons, so the sequence used here will be _ 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20, 21, etc...)

________________________________

Home Ground

All of the team’s ‘home’ games during this Cup’s qualifying stage will be played in the Royal Arena at Urrath-am-Barrah, the nation’s capital city, which can seat approximately 60’000 people. Up to 10’000 places will be available for visitors.
The easiest means of access to this nation will be by means of an ancient (and probably magical) set of “Gates”, whose keepers can open them to locations in the other countries concerned if those other nations are willing to accept this: Otherwise, it will require a sea-voyage to one of our neighbours and then a quite lengthy journey overland by rail or road…

RP Permisions

Opponents may _

Choose my goalscorers: Y (but when I post the roster I'll suggest the most likely candidates for this)
Godmod Scoring Events: Y

RP injuries to my players / Godmod injuries to my players / Hand out Yellow cards to my players / Hand out Red cards to my players: Y to all, at least to start with, but remember what I've written here and keep it in limits accordingly... Any serious offences by my players would probably result in injuries to your players, and causing any serious injuries to my players would probably require such obviously-deliberate attacks that your players would get yellow or even red cards as a result too.

Godmod Other Events: Y, I suppose... but please remember that Ursines are fully sapient beings, as much as Humans are (well, almost so, anyway....), NOT instinct-driven animals. Oh, and of course female Ursines are NOT sexually interested in Humans (of either sex), and it's very unlikely that female Harr'ayanau would be either.

_____________________________________________________________________

Notes
Ursines may tend to be a bit less agile & slower to accelerate than humans on average, but this team's members were carefully selected so the gap between them & their opponents in this respect should be narrower than some people might expect. They do tend to have slightly poorer eyesight than humans, on the whole, so that long-distance passes & shots at goal will be rarer behaviour for them than they are for human teams... but their size & strength mean that when they're running with the ball it will probably take a very brave human -- as well as a very skilled one -- to tackle them successfully, which should balance that factor pretty well.
They're physically robust, of course, which means that they're less likely than humans to suffer injuries in falls or collisions but also that the form of Rugby in which most of them played before switching to Soccer was even more physical than the humans' versions of that game... and unfortunately some of them might forget the change of rules, in the excitement of the match, and use those tactics here...
Forgetting that they're playing Soccer now, rather than 'Ursine-Rules' Rugby, will actually be the most likely reason for any rule-breaking that they might commit, but they're generally bright enough not to make such a mistake more than once per match per player (and after one of them has been penalised for doing so in any particular way it's fairly unlikely that any others would repeat the exact same mistake...). The females of this species are mote even-tempered than the males, and the team's members will try to stay on their best behaviour not only in order to do well in this contest (which they probably need to do in order for their planned Soccer league to become a reality) but also to impress upon the watching humans that Ursines aren't just “dumb beast”. They will not 'dive', or feign injury in other ways, because suggesting that they could be harmed so easily goes strongly against the grain.

If the organisers permit then the team's members, including subsititutes, will do a [short] traditional war-dance (similar to the [RL] New Zealanders' 'haka'...), on the pitch, just before each match begins: This is called the 'Harrdiharr'... ;-)

Nickname: Bisons

The Roster
When RP'ing, the name of my players in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS AND BOLD are the player's family names. These are the names on their jersey and the name professional commentators would call out when making observations. Also, do not write the names in all capital letters, as this is somewhat annoying when reading; I just imagine someone reading calmly along then suddenly SHOUTING the player's name. For example, if writing about FENG Shaoli making a long shot, one would write "Feng made a long shot..." as opposed to "FENG made a long shot..." If you have any further questions regarding names, please feel free to telegram me.

Players age ONE YEAR in-between cups.

Starting players will have their names in GREEN type
Alternate players will have their names in BLUE type
Reserve Playes will have their names in STANDARD type.

22- Bai'a KITA
Height: 183cm - Weight: 79kg – Age: 27 years old - Team: FC Mando
A goalkeeper who is known for having a short attention span, Kita is the epitomy of a Mandalorian goalkeeper: Known for taking excessive risks, bum-rushing an opponent to make a distant steal and playing on the rim of the box, Kita is a gamble in any game he appears in. Perhaps that is why he is the second goalkeeper for the Bisons; maybe why he is a member of FC Mando too...

While his form is less chisled than Nishimura, Kita enjoys a great camradiere with many of his teammates; something the older starter seems to lack; perhaps it is an age difference, perhaps it is cultural. However, whatever it is, when in the net, Kita is able to almost control the game with shouts in Mando'a and giant hand signals. After starting many games in World Cup 58 Qualifying as well as in the 50th Cup of Harmony, Kita has continued to cement his position as the starting goalkeeper for the Bisons.

1- NISHIMURA Kenshin
Height: 187cm - Weight: 80kg – Age: 32 years old - Team: RC United
The second-oldest player on the team, Nishimura may also be the most agile. A top-form goalkeeper in his last ten seasons with RC United, Nishimura has established himself as the 'veteran' on a team which will be making its third World Cup appearance.

Unfortunately for Nishimura, he has reached a wall in his career; a wall he cannot surmount. Due to this invisible wall, Bai’a Kita has replaced the veteran as starting goalkeeper for the team, and as such, has seen Nishimura brought in only when Kita is unable to recover and make those critical saves.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: B - Morale: A - Form: A
CAPS: 23 :: GOALS: N/A :: WC's PLAYED: 57, 58

33- CHU Takumi
Height: 183cm - Weight: 81kg – Age: 21 years old - Team: Ba Sing Se UNITED
The youngest member of the Goalkeeping Corps, Chu has yet to make an appearance for the Bisons in any World Cup or Cup of Harmony match, though Vhett continues to choose him to the National Team... There must be something in this young player, considering he is the newest starting keeper for Ba Sing Se UNITED... Who knows? Maybe he will get lucky this World Cup...

Left Defenders:

2- MIYAMOTO Kaoru
Height: 187cm - Weight: 82kg – Age: 23 years old - Team: Kuruk FC
A big defender with the skills to back up his talk, Miyamoto Kaoru is an impressive specimen of a defender. Playing for agruably one of the best teams in the RPFL has hardened this man into an imposing wall of strength on the backfield. Prepare to see plenty of tackles, shoves and general rough play from a man who grew up playing meshgeroya; an Avatarian variation of football also known as 'limmie' or 'bolo-ball'.

12- AKIYAMA Qiangyi
Height: 183cm - Weight: 86kg – Age: 25 years old - Team: Ba Sing Se UNITED

Much like Miyamoto, Akiyama is a no-nonsense player. He has no problem laying an opponent out for a fowl, and as such as earned the most red cards in a single season by any player in the Modern Era (12) as well as garnishing multiple suspensions. He is a rough player who pairs perfectly with Miyamoto and the two have earned the moniker, ”The Dueling Mandos” by the media.

16- ZHANG Jijian
Height: 178cm - Weight: 75kg – Age: 21 years old - Team: RC United
A young player who was drafted three seasons ago to the Premier Cup champions RC United, Zhang is still a young player with much to learn from his teammates. While he lacks the size of Akiyama and Miyamoto, he most certainly does not lack on the heart: During practice skirmishes, Zhang is often found opposite Miyamoto and has thrown himself full-force into the 'Mando Mauler', only to receive a week-ending injury as a parting gift.

5- KIM Dong Su
Height: 178cm - Weight: 75kg – Age: 25 years old - Team: Ba Sing Se UNITED
Not a highly-rated player for the Bison defence, however, Kim has shown himself to be a surprise in many a games; a fine defensive player, Kim is also a very good option for the full-back position when results are needed. He supports the offence well, with very strong passing and marking skills.

Outside the stadium, Kim is the morale of the team. Often telling jokes and giving out care packages, he is loved by the fans and by the media for his often-spirited antics and interviews

15- WONG Haru
Height: 185cm - Weight: 83kg – Age: 19 years old - Team: University of Kibago

Given his size, one would expect Wong to have a style of play more similar to Fujimoto. However, growing up playing in the offensive-orientated Earth Kingdom's LEAGUE ROYALE shaped Wong into a speed-demon in the body of a tank. He is quick to run, able to outpace many of his teammates and overtake many of his opponents. His endurance is bar-none the best of the team, which Coach Vhett attributes to his genes; the son of a clone trooper with the Avatarian Republics' Mandalorian Corps, Wong shares similar genetics to several other players as well as Vhett himself.

At such a young age, Wong is set to be drafted out of college when he graduates this year, with many deals already in the works. After placing into the Starting Eleven, Wong has continued to flourish as a player, and as such, we can expect him to be drafted early, if not within the first two or three picks of the first round.

6- FUJIMOTO Zhong
Height: 175cm - Weight: 70kg – Age: 26 years old - Team: RC United
Extremely fast given his size, Fujimoto is a full-back more focused on the offence, and can have some minor difficulties when tasked with defence. Able to quickly counter any attack placed before him, Fujimoto serves as a valuable link between the offence and the defence. An excellent sniper, Fujimoto is one of the best free-kickers on the team, being able to take pieces with either pure technique, pure strength or a combination of the two; exceeding in both styles is a rare form in Avatarian football.

However, every gem has its imperfection and for Fujimoto, it is discipline. With such natural talent coming easy, Fujimoto has yet to truly have to work to exceed: Rather, he naturally falls into the game and succeeds at almost everything he does. This lack of discipline wears on his team mates, many of whom believe he is just a spoiled snob not worthy of the Avatarian kit.

Right Defenders:

13- BAO Yiyong
Height: 177cm - Weight: 76kg – Age: 22 years old - Team: Kuruk FC

While certainly not the oldest player in the defence, Bao serves to give a bit of balance between the youth beneath him and the seniority above him. A strong member of the Kuruk FC, Bao strives to deliver a consistent performance game after game, though this obsession with consistency has caused him to blow many a checks of liquor and loose women.

With Kobayashi returning to full strength, Bao has seen a return to the alternates. Though, perhaps luckily for Bao, Kobayashi did strain his weak ankle in a pre-World Cup exhibition match with Gaoling...

3- KOBAYASHI Ren
Height: 187cm - Weight: 83kg – Age: 29 years old - Team: FC Beijing
The veteran of the Defenders, Kobayashi is a mixture of strength, speed, techicality and violence. He is strong for his size, though the restraint he shows upon merging on an attacker is admirable. He is a bit of a 'bully', often provoking his opponent to the point of breaking just for the fun of it all.

Returning to the Maan 11 for the first time since the Cup of Harmony, Kobayashi is still not up to 100%. With a high ankle strain in a pre-World Cup exhibition match with Gaoling, Kobayashi has been taking himself slowly through the paces. With Vhett’s approval, as well as that of the team doctor, Kobayashi makes his return, albeit a worrisome one.

23- XU Lingbo
Height: 183cm - Weight: 84kg – Age: 20 years old - Team: Republic FC (Taap-B)

One of the more youth players on the team, Xu has fallen under the tutelage of Kobayashi, so much that the two right defenders room together on every road trip, visit one another during bye weeks and Kobayashi will even visit RCSU once a month just to check up on Xu; considering RCSU was his alma mater, it is not unordinary for Kobayashi to take an interest in a fellow RC Bison.

This tutelage has resulted in the shifting of Xu's skill-set, from more of a reserved full-back to a matured one, capable of running with his opponent, stealing the ball quick and passing it off up-pitch even faster. After being drafted out of college into Republic FC, a Taap-B team in the RPFL, Xu has continued to develop and will one day become a fine defender...

Defensive Midfielders:

7- MAKI Li
Height: 178cm - Weight: 76kg – Age: 26 years old - Team: Ba Sing Se UNITED
A veteran of the Grand Army of the Republic, Maki was shot with an assault rifle during a border dispute with the Charicific Valley which tore his left shoulder to shreds. Six months of physical therapy resulted in his retirement, however, Maki had a great passion in football; luckily for him, you don't need to use your arms in football. At 23, he was drafted by Ba Sing Se as a defensive midfielder and within the first six months of play, he established himself as a premier player. Being a veteran, he is often found with the other 'military players' on the team, notably Kad'e Tay'haai, Kotyc'e Bralor and Wong Haru. A result of his training, Maki is a very serious player, whose morale is spot-on and dedication to the team is second only to Vhett himself; this leads to him being liked a little less than most players, but since when has football been a popularity contest?

4- Kotyc'e BRALOR
Height: 187cm - Weight: 85kg – Age: 24 years old - Team: Keldabe FC

In Keldabe, Bralor makes for a perfect pair with Tay'haai: While Bralor serves as the connection from the defence to the attack, Tay'haai gives the sniping skills of a well-honed soldier. Quick on his feet and agile in mind, Bralor is just starting on his historic career...

Just as his partner on the midfield defence, Bralor is military veteran. His father is a General within the Grand Army of the Republic and Bralor is currently on Sportsmanship Leave from his own military life as a Sergeant, First Class in the GAR. Having the rigors of combat beaten into him since the beginning of his adult life, Bralor knows full well the pay-off for hard work, well-refined skills and dedication.

17- TRAN Bảo
Height: 177cm - Weight: 80kg – Age: 23 years old - Team: FC Mando
A player like Tran is one you would hardly notice. He rarely makes a goal, never drives it to the net and doesn't play a very show-boating game. Instead, he is a hard-working midfielder, who focuses his time on setting up the offence for a great pass, a well-positioned switch or the decisive tackle to change the momentum in the game. Ranked as the second-best player on FC Mando, Tran has worked hard to get to the National Team, so expect to see him alternate to relieve Bralor or Maki in the late games.

Neutral Midfielders:

18- TSUKINO Hachiro
Height: 183cm - Weight: 84kg – Age: 20 years old - Team: Sparta FC (CDP)
Extremely technical for a player his age, Tsukino is definitely an up-and-coming player within the Avatarian league system. Currently attending Ba Sing Se University, he is the assistant captain under former-FC Mando star forward, Head Coach Ki Lovhett and has begun to take a more offensive-style of play in the last few months.

Selected by Sparta FC, a Série A football club in Cotdelapoms, after a terrific performance in World Cup 57, Tsukino has continued to flourish there. He received his Bachelors of Science in Biomolecular Engineering with a Minor in Physics from Accord, a premier Science and Arts University in Albionpool, Cotdelapoms just after the completion of the Cup of Harmony, so his future in Cotdelapoms is uncertain. With teams from home and Erathore competing for the talented midfielder, it should come as no surprise his performances here in the Polar Islandstates, potentially joining Kryse abroad.

Attacking Midfielders:

8- Pre KRYSE
Height: 183cm - Weight: 85kg – Age: 27 years old - Team: FC Mildred (EAT)
The Golden Star of Gyatso-kaian football, Kryse has shocked the nation twice in his career. First, predicted to reach the National Level at 21, Kryse came onto the pitch at 19 wearing the national kit; this was such a feat that a new set of laws were passed to allow players younger than 21 to play with the Bisons as opposed to just travelling. Second, after World Cup 58, Kryse was sought out by FC Mildred, a Seria-A team in the Kingdom of Erathore. He quickly signed a contract with the team, despite suffering a concussion in Group Stage Play. In Erathore, Kryse has brought his Avatarian talents abroad, scoring 13 goals in 34 appearances for Mildrid, leading them to a 2nd place finish in the Erathore Seria-A League.

His footballing style is very offensive, working as the last link between the midfield and the offence; Kryse has been known to even advance from the midfield to score some key goals in pivotal games. He has a powerful long shot and is exceptional at heading, both of which are aided by his height. However, as skilled as he is in offense, Kryse still prefers to pass the ball up to forwards for an assist in a goal as opposed to being the star player.

A very creative midfielder, Ngo is not known for his consistency: One day, Ngo may get a couple assists and even a goal while keeping the opponent at bay, when on others, he could barely get a foot on the ball; many in the league attribute this to Ngo's service in the Republic Marines and as such, he has been seeing psychiatrists for these issues. A bit of a clown, on those days he is well-inspired, Ngo will often perform many an antic when a goal is scored, thus earning him the love of the fans. On those days less-inspired, Ngo will hardly shuffle through the pitch, tending to gaze at his feet instead of ahead...

14- HIMURA Katsu
Height: 185cm - Weight: 81kg – Age: 22 years old - Team: Northern AFC
Relatively young when compared to his teammates, Himura has not had a promising start to his career, both at home and abroad. Given his still-developing skills in midfield, his is seen as a comparatively weak player and often spends more time with the coaching staff than other more-seasoned players. In his second season out of college with the Northern AFC, Himura is a technical player by nature whose greatest asset is not in his aim or power, but in the art of dribbling which he uses at every opportunity. While more prone to provide assists on plays as opposed to goals, Himura caught Vhett off-guard when he was brought on the pitch to replace an injured Pre Kryse, and managed to score his first goal of his career. Later in the 58th World Cup, Himura would strike again, so perhaps this is a sign of change for the young midfielder.

9- WAKAHISA Hikaru
Height: 189cm - Weight: 86kg – Age: 26 years old - Team: FC Beijing
A great player who is the star of FC Beijing, Wakahisa is a world of contradiction. While he gets along swimmingly with his teammates and has the technical form of a football-playing robot, his morale leaves something to desire; a defeatist by nature, whenever the going gets a little too tough, Wakahisa will start to crack. It is this attitude which sees Wakahisa often removed from the pitch and replaced by the younger A’den Skirata.

Given his size, he makes for an impressive target for midfielders; coupled with his physical strength and accuracy, there is very little the defence can do should Wakahisa break through. Many a times a defender has gone for a tackle, only to have the 86-kilo Wakahisa just steam roll him. Known for his aerial skills as well as his ground work, a goal from Wakahisa is just as easily to come from the sky as it is to come from the ground.

Tay’haai comes from a sports-centric family; with his father a coach in the AHL, his brother a member of the National Ice Bisons and his mother the coach of the women’s national football team, fans and critics have come to expect nothing but greatness from Tay’haai. Certainly they have not been mislead, with Tay’haai has become known as ‘The Next One’ following the retirement of VId’a Ambeck eight years ago. When on the pitch, he plays almost effortlessly, dodging defenders as if they were standing still, sniping balls past nets which might as well have been empty and being the media’s favourite player.

He strives for perfection in every session and he knows too well the wrath of Vhett when he does not perform well. In his personal life, he is a staunch supporter of the military, given his family’s history with the GAR; his grandfather was one of the first training sergeants of the GAR’s clone-based military nearly 80 years ago and ever since, Tay’haai donates portions of his salary to charities which support the GAR. During an impressive appearance at the BoF, Tay'haai was able to score an astonishing nine goals; even earning his first international hat trick in the game against Greater Coventry. In the ensuing world cup, Tay’haai earned eleven goals, followed by seven more in the Fifth Market Cup, then ten more in the next World Cup. It seems as if nothing can stop the Next One...

A man who played for a couple of years in the top club in its day, Vhett has the experience to understand his players, read the field as if he were on it and adapt quickly. Being Head Coach of one of the most successful clubs in Avatarian history certainly has its advantages, and with being selected to the Assistant Coach position for the Bisons, Liu has certainly gained more stock. Formerly the star striker of Southern AFC, Liu has only been ‘out of the game’ for five years; in his first year of retirement, he was given the Assistant Coach position at FC Mando, however, the next year RC United’s illustrious coach Chao Rodrigiu retired and soon Liu was offered the position.

Much like Vhett, Liu is a think-on-your-feet kind of coach, quickly able to read the field as his men do, adjust his own strategies and prepare them for whosoever they face. It is indeed a tough job coaching in Vhett’s shadow, however, with the U-20 squad coming into light, perhaps Liu may step out of it soon enough.

“The Man With The Golden Gloves”, Keys has been a revelation since his debut as a seventeen-year-old back in World Cup 56 qualifying. Tall and wiry, Keys follows in the mould of Munitis, Vernazza, Barcali, and Garcia, as the latest and arguably the best in a long line of Krytenian custodians.

Image
Matt ORDISH
Age: 22
Position: Right-back/centre-back
Club: Jungle Strike FC (VIL)
Caps: 0
Goals: 0

Barely even on the radar four years ago, having just left Aigburth Athletic for the Vilitan shore, Ordish's stock has risen exponentially since World Cup 58. Now playing at the very top of the V-League for Jungle Strike, he's hoping to continue his domestic form on the international frontier.

Image
Derek AGOGO
Age: 32
Position: Left midfield
Club: Avidia United
Caps: 39
Goals: 7

A bit-part player for years, Agogo made the most of his chance after Calvin Thordarsson's retirement from international football. Blessed with phenomenal pace, Agogo looks to outrun rather than outplay his opponents, and is the most-fouled against player in the O-League for the simple reason that defenders end up tackling where he was rather than where he is.

Image
Charlie HAYLE
Age: 23
Position: Centre-back
Club: Ousevale Borough
Caps: 0
Goals: 0

The conveyer belt at the Southern Arena shows no sign of stopping. Hayle is the latest in a long line of players with true leadership qualities to come out of this little corner of Nova Mercia. The thinking man's defender, his ability to read the game is striking for a man of such few years.

Image
Peter SOUTHERN (captain)
Age: 32
Position: Centre-back
Club: Ousevale Borough
Caps: 78
Goals: 4

Captain of the champions, lord of all he surveys, and already tipped to be the national team's next manager. Southern may look atypical for a defender (6'6” and gangly) but don't let that fool you. He has almost mathematical precision in the tackle, and can pick out a thirty-yard pass with his eyes shut. (In fact, he literally did this for JMC advert a few years back.) Southern will be looking forward to having Charlie Hayle alongside him in the sky blue and white; the two are considered to be the best defensive pairing Ousevale have ever had.

Image
Rhydian FALLON
Age: 25
Position: Right midfield
Club: New Cefn Albion
Caps: 0
Goals: TBC

Considered as the surprise choice in Vázquez García's squad, Fallon is the sort of player who performs well without ever appearing to control a game. He's an engine-room wide man, making the full-back dither when off the ball, and picking out the right pass on it.

Image
VALRAUNCION
Age: Yes (he's an elf, you see)
Position: Forward
Club: Ousevale Borough
Caps: 23 (for Krytenia)
Goals: 19 (for Krytenia)

For those of you thinking that name looks familiar, it should. Valrauncion carries the distinction of being the only Krytenian international who can lay claim to a World Cup winners' medal...for now, anyway. He's made a home for himself in Ousevale over the years, and when Starblaydia withdrew from international football at the end of World Cup 57, the KFA made a cheeky request to naturalise the striker and offer him a place in the cyan. To their astonishment, he accepted. As Paul Clayton said when he first signed him: “He may be a cock, but he's OUR cock!”

Image
Richard KERR
Age: 30
Position: Central midfield
Club: Royal Emberton
Caps: 24
Goals: 4

Questioned on his ability to be the midfield general, Kerr has answered...adequately. By no means the complete player, and sometimes denigrated as the national side's weak link, Kerr nevertheless gives everything he has to the cause.

Image
Aaron QUITERI
Age: 30
Position: Forward
Club: Avidia United
Caps: 25
Goals: 12

Maturing like a fine wine - or particularly strong cheese - Aaron Quiteri seems to have been around the national team for years without getting a proper run in the side. Expect that to change in short order, though, as the Avidia man continues to make himself heard.

Image
Andrew YERVIK
Age: 20
Position: Forward
Club: Caledon Simpson
Caps: 0
Goals: 0

If Valrauncion is the glorious past, and Quiteri the mercurial present, then Yervik is the exciting future. Pacy and seemingly unfettered by fear, the Caledon man is a true defender's nightmare. Likes to play from deep, so don't be surprised to see him tucking behind his more experienced cohorts to help the game flow.

Image
Chris PAMPESO
Age: 27
Position: Left midfield
Club: Kallia United
Caps: 7
Goals: 1

Mid-table strugglers they may be, but Kallia have a true diamond in the rough in the form of Chris Pampeso. A left-winger in name only, Pampeso loves to cut and drift inside, and is more likely to find space for a shot than a cross. Whether it's he or the more steady Derek Agogo who gets the nod could well depend on the opposition.

Image
George WILSON (vice-captain)
Age: 23
Position: Central midfield
Club: Ousevale Borough
Caps: 23
Goals: 8

He's been at the fry-ups - though not too many, thankfully - and the boy has become a man. The bast young player at the last World Cup, great things are expected of the young master. Expect him to be in the midst of just about everything.

Image
Casper NIXON
Age: 31
Position: Goalkeeper
Club: Emberton Reds
Caps: 2
Goals: 0

Rose to prominence with his valiant (and practically single-handed) attempts to keep Foxchester Rovers in the O-League Premier. Though he failed, he did catch the attentions of Reds manager Shane Gallo, who brought him to the Isserson for a cool AG5m. Now a fixture at the Reds, he'll be hoping for more than the two appearances he managed in the last campaign.

Image
Andrew JUSTICE
Age: 30
Position: Right midfield
Club: Leston Town
Caps: 6
Goals: 2

Leston might not be the most fashionable of places – let's face it, it's as dull as dishwater as twice as filthy – but Justice loves nothing better than haring down the right wing of the Lays Road Ground. Or somewhere else, if the Gears are playing away. With his long bleached hair, he looks every inch the playboy, but don't let that trick you; he's a single-minded master of his craft.

Image
Trevor MILK
Age: 32
Position: Centre-back/left-back/right-back
Club: New Cefn Albion
Caps: 20
Goals: 1

Though perhaps not the most talented of Krytenia's defenders, he is the most versatile. Can play anywhere along the back line, and has the effort and stamina of a locomotive. Unfortunately, his first touch has been known to let him down on occasion, and it is this occasional lack of control that has precluded him from nailing down a permanent place in the side.

Image
Ian PESKOV
Age: 29
Position: Central midfield
Club: Beckton Supermarine
Caps: 8
Goals: 2

There's one simple reason why the Mariners are back in the big time: Ian Peskov. Though he usually plays in the centre of the park, he's effectively the anchor man between midfield and attack, pushing forward to support the strikers. Beckton's captain and talisman, the shouts of “Peskov For The Aces” from the Orange Street faithful seem to have been answered, and he could well get the nod over Richard Kerr.

Image
Eric TYLER
Age: 30
Position: Forward/left midfield
Club: Cednia Beach AFC (TUR)
Caps: 5
Goals: 0

At home on the left and in the middle, Tyler is another whose big advantage is his versatility. It was that adaptability that saw the big money calling him, and Tyler made the leap from Caledon Simpson to V-League giants Cednia Beach. Expect club honours to come from this man; possibly a fair few more caps, too, if things go his way.

Image
Jason BEDINGFIELD
Age: 21
Position: Forward
Club: Mercia Bromham
Caps: 0
Goals: 0

Learning at the feet of Krytenian legend Simon Carter has done the young Mercia striker a world of good. Bedingfield loves to run at defenders, and his instinct for goal is a good one. Preferring placement to power, it's not surprising that Bedingfield is a threat from dead ball situations.

Image
Tim STANSFIELD
Age: 27
Position: Centre-back
Club: Avidia United
Caps: 4
Goals: 0

The rock of the Eagles' defence, Stansfield is power personified. The athletic defender has a great leap and excellent pace, making him a tricky prospect for any forward to deal with. He is somewhat hot-tempered though, collecting nine red cards in his career so far, including one for the national team.

Image
Alistair CELSEN
Age: 28
Position: Centre-back
Club: Casuals Osteria
Caps: 11
Goals: 0

Learned at the feet of former Krytenian international Scott Karrah at Casuals, Celsen played alongside him in the last World Cup squad. Ambitious and single-minded, Celsen's one drawback is that he is prone to lapses in concentration, however these have lessened lately as he has focused on the seemingly impossible task of taking a spot in the Aces' first eleven.

Image
Matt SACHSEN
Age: 26
Position: Central midfield
Club: Westleigh Athletic
Caps: 0
Goals: 0

It's been a long time in the wilderness for Westleigh, but Sachsen is one of the reasons the side are back in the big time. Another in the mould of hard work over flair, Sachsen loves to get stuck in.

Image
Steve MANLEY
Age: 23
Position: Goalkeeper
Club: Ashton Olympic
Caps: 0
Goals: 0

The new kid on the goalkeeping block, Manley came out of nowhere to burst through not only the Ashton starting eleven, but the peripheries of the national team too. With Alan Keys not getting any younger, Manley will surely have half an eye on that coveted number one jersey.

Image
Dexter SCHWARZKOPF
Age: 28
Position: Forward
Club: Stanton Town
Caps: 7
Goals: 0

Being cover for Valrauncion is a thankless task, and that may explain why Dexter Schwarzkopf has failed to trouble the scorers on the international stage. The striker, now at Stanton, has mustered just a single start for his seven caps; he'll not be happy to sit on the bench yet again, but there just isn't any option for a breakthrough as things stand. Pity.

LIKELY STARTERS
Keys
Ordish – Southern – Hayle
Fallon – – Peskov – – Wilson – – Agogo
Quiteri – Valrauncion – Yervik

THE FEDERATION OF POLAR ISLANDSTATES ROSTER FOR THE 59th WORLD CUP
Nation Name: The Federation of Polar Islandstates
Shorthand Nation Names: The Federation, The FPI
Demonym: Polarians/Valhallans
Team Nickname: The Terns
Official Supporters Group: The Twitchers (as in, birdwatchers)

HOME SUPPORT: The Ostkurven - Home of the Twitchers

FULL ROSTER:
(Caps in brackets indicate appearances from the bench)

Coach: Sol Kirkkegaard, 56
Sol Kirkkegaard is the finest tactical mind our nation has ever produced, and has guided his teams to success almost without fail with a calm and cool exterior that does nothing to hint at what his calculative mind is really thinking. He rarely flaps under pressure, and is well respected by fans, players, and press alike. He was the natural choice to lead our nation into the development of their first official international team, and carefully assessed the players through the exhibition A vs B and Road To The World Cup matches, the link to which can be found in my signature. Through this he developed a key core of players to rely on, and whilst almost all of them are retiring now, he is nurturing a second wave of talented youngsters to lead the Terns further on with the help of U21s coach Gregorz van der Riise. Following a disappointing last cycle at the World Cup, he bounced back, and with many inspirational and bold tactical choices he lead the team to the title in the last Copa Rushmori. As regional champions, and as co-hosts, the pressure on the Terns will be greater than ever, and without talismanic striker Timo Skye for the first time, will they manage to meet expectations?

Assistant: Joachim Schwartz, 46
Brought in by Sol to cover the absence of Morten Yarbin during the last qualification campaign, former indoor soccer coach Joachim Schwartz has now been appointed the position on a permanent basis. Despite being used to coaching on a smaller pitch, he very much advocates the use of wingers, and as such has found himself at odds with Sol's preferred tactics on a number of occasions. It is Sol's belief that this difference in professional opinion will provide a healthy and progressive atmosphere with which to coach, and shouldn't be discouraged at all. He's hard nosed, and tough to win over, but incredibly forceful and a powerful personality on the sidelines.

#1 - GK - Lars Hegg Gammel - Age 31 - Avidia United (Krytenia) - 95 Caps, 1 Assist
Lars moved abroad to Cotdelapoms in order to try and win a place in the Terns squad, fearing he'd never get the chance if he stayed stuck behind Atle Andreasson at SK. The move have paid off, replacing first Atle on the bench, and then Karlsson in the starting line up. His talent is undeniable, and his quick reactions were key to the Terns claiming the third place medal when they did, keeping their only clean sheet of the finals as they beat Krytenia 1-0. Following the collapse of the Cotdelapomais league, it was this performance that alerted his presence to Krytenia giants Avidia United, for whom he now earns his living. Defeat in the second round to Krytenia has only spurned him on, and he is keen to readdress the balance of victories again...

#2 - DR - Zacharias Juul - Age 24 - Jan Mayen Islanders - 41(2) Caps, 2 Assists, 3 Goals
Called up but never used in previous senior squads, Juul was once again been called up for the Copa as backup to Thor Lossler, but some impressive subsitute performances saw him win the starting position on a permanent basis. He is fast, a natural leader, and calm and confident on the ball, and will make waves at this tournament following his move to Jan Mayen Islanders.

#3 - DC - Sander Ljungberg - Age 28 - SK Franz Josef City - 74(11) Caps, 4 Assists, 2 Goals
With his movement, dependability, and extravagant tackling, Sander Ljungberg has proved himself to be a natural and worthy successor to Maarten Berg. Berg's retirement had left something of a hole in the heart of Sol's oft-favoured plans, but Ljungberg showed that all was not lost, and its almost as if he's been in the side all along. Has a turn of speed that can keep up with almost anything any fleet-footed strikers might try to pull on him, and with Kowalski next to him, the two are sure to be hard to get past.

#4 - DC - Torre Urfstadt - Age 24 - Club ESF (Valanora) - 27(11) Caps, 1 Assist
Urfstadt is one of the most exciting prospects to come from the Torshavn ranks in a long time, and was been a crucial part of Torshavn's continued presence in Divisjon One, and a vital component in their Cygnus Cup winning squad. This brought him to the attention of Vanorian scouts, and a big money move saw him playing in the VSL. Fast, powerful, and one of the few shining lights in the Terns' World Cup campaign, once the finer points of positioning and leadership reveal themselves to him, he will be a truly formidable defender, the likes of which the Federation hasn't seen since Niko Marek. Expect his 6'8" frame to be a danger in the opposing penalty box as well. We saw flashes of brilliance at the Copa, and now's the time to make that pay.

#5 - DL - Edvar Folke - Age 23 - Merrilin FC (Civil Citizenry) - 18(1) Caps, 1 Assist, 1 Goal
With the retirement of Steffan Pekarik in what was a fairly uninspiring World Cup run, Sol wasn't overly bowled over by the performances of his back up, Robin Arnfeldt. Therefore, with the left back position completely open, in from a string of performances in the U-21s comes the pair of Baalsen and Folke. A hugely dynamic presence in the defence, Folke will be moving to Merrilin to play his way in the King's League, and his huge promise has impressed enough to deserve the starting position, and his exciting runs during the Copa were a particular highlight.

#6 - DMC - Jorgen Hauge - Age 28 - Battle (Zarbli) - 103(4) Caps, 21 Assists, 10 Goals - CAPTAIN
A well established played in the Zarblese Duke League, Hauge was snapped up by Battle from Cross SC a few seasons ago, and hasn't looked back since. Now a regular in the starting lineup for the Terns, his marauding hatchet-man presence in front of the defence means attackers can't relax for a second. A long future in the national team beckoned for Jorgen, who is impressively large even by Polarian standards, and he has a fearsome reputation that has led to him being given the captain's armband, such is the level of importance he holds for the Terns. If he does his job correctly, it allows others to do theirs more easily, and he sees everything that happens on the pitch. Not bad with and from set pieces, either.

#7 - MR - Jon Kjaer - Age 26 - Mar Sara FC (Valanora) - 24(11) Caps, 14 Assists, 5 Goals
With six caps and three assists for the U-21s, Kjaer was a victim of Sol's tactical preference when it comes to his national side potential, and this marks his time with a starting position thanks to Schwartz's persuasion. Nonetheless, he seems to have always been around, and the fact he's only twenty-five catches many by surprise, as he had been a regular and feared feature of the SK starting lineup for many a year. His move to Valanora seems to have made him even more potent, and this first foray into using wing players for the national team couldn't have come at a better time both for Kjaer and the Terns. His eagerness to cut in and support Irndtor will be greatly appreciated, and his crossing isn't exactly shabby to begin with.

#8 - MC - Jorgen-Franz Bru - Age 24 - East Franz Athletic - 9(2) Caps, 2 Assists, 3 Goals
Captaining the Chicks to their outstanding Di Bradini Cup win last time around, Bru's star has been rising almost unstoppably ever since, shining in an FC Torshavn side that finished third and won the Cygnus Cup. Along with the other star of that side, Torre Urfstadt, Bru accepted the offer of play at a higher level, and developed even further as part of the dynamic world champions East Franz Athletic last season. Alongside Hauge, he can provide a truly industrious engine room for the Terns here, and is a greatly loved positive member of the team.

#9 - ST - Amadeus Irndtor - Age 28 - SK Franz Josef City - 35(31) Caps, 8 Assists, 33 Goals
With a lethal left boot and a sixpence turning circle, this speedy player is getting his big chance in the famous number nine that used to be his arch-rival/inspiration, Timo Skye's. His recent performances from the bench at the Copa will have him brimming with confidence, as will his performance for SK as they won the title a few seasons ago, outshining Dei Ormache as an attacking force and revelling in front of attacking midfielders like Alexio Del Nieran and Robin Hjik as he romped to the top goalscorer accolade. If he is to fully replace Skye's potency, he will rely on the support form van Sorensen, Kjaer, and Berghaus. And whilst that may be considered a weakness of Irndtor's, the thought of those four attacking forces converging on the penalty box at once could never be considered a weakness for the Terns. In this way, he is a catalyst for a new style of Polarian attacking play.

#10 - TQ - Alexsandr van Sorensen - Age 25 - Petardos S/A (Cafundéu) - 58(46) Caps, 40 Assists, 50 Goals
Bright young prodigy Alexsandr is only 25, but is already a key and regular figure in the Tern dressing room and seems to have been around forever. Played a vital role for Jan Mayen before his move to Cafundéu where he continues to impress and is learning every day, impressing the scouts from Petardos S/A enough to be offered a contract. Suffers from rare brain condition synaesthesia, meaning his senses get muddled up in his head, but manages to not let this affect his attractive attacking play - indeed, if anything it seems to help him. Captained the U-21s in the Draggonnii Inviyatti, showing his leadership on the pitch, and likes to link in from the midfield, which is where he plays for Petardos S/A. Sol will be playing him as a supporting deep lying striker for Irndtor, or a forward thinking midfielder operating in front of Hauge and Bru. Ultimately, he is to be a trequartista, applying his explosive acceleration and going on mazy dribbles that often end in a shot from his sweet right boot. Could change a game in an instant, will almost certainly become an all-time legend, and he is without a doubt the Terns' key player at this tournament. Anything good will likely come through him.

#11 - ML - Ole Berghaus - Age 25 - Gimnasia (Kagdazka and Pazhujebu) - 16(2) Caps, 8 Assists, 1 Goal
Ole Berghaus has had a wonderful few seasons for Gimnasia, and with Jorgensen getting a lot of flak from unhappy supporters at the last World Cup, he won he chance to represent his country at the Copa, where he excelled in a cross field partnership with Kjaer. He is nimble and quick for a big man, and his imposing presence on the wing can be the first line of defence. Going forwards, he is explosive and powerful, and will be drifting into the box before you know it. Is conscious of the distant threat of Kjetil Huytspurr, and will be eager to cement his place in the squad for years to come. Revels in front of a big crowd.

#12 - GK - Mathias Marek - Age 33 - Jan Mayen Islanders - 7(4) Caps
Younger brother of captain Niko, penalty shoot-out specialist Mathias was the hero of the Burchadinger Cup and a World Cup quarter final, coming on to both score and save penalties as a last minute substitution. Is in the squad again, though many feel the older Andreasson would have been the safer choice, nonetheless he is a dependable keeper for Jan Mayen and his hunger for success drives him onwards at all times.

#13 - GK - Ole Gorrechategi - Age 32 - FC Torshavn - 4(1) Caps
Impressing during the Brevity challenge with his clean sheets, Kirkkegaard has turned to Gorrechategi for his third keeper spot this tournament. Having impressed many more as his side finished fifth and took the Cygnus Cup a few seasons ago, Gorrechategi is a nimble and lithe keeper, unflappable, reliable, and never injured.

#14 - MC - Iulian Finnibaturinn - Age 24 - Therakham ZL (Kagdazka and Pazhujebu) - 24(4) Caps, 5 Assists, 3 Goals
Iulian has nine caps, two assists, and one goal for the U-21s, and although hirst first team performances have been relatively limited so far, his performances have Jorgen Hauge looking over his shoulder nervously. He's a commanding presence, and likes to sit as part of a central midfield pair, supporting a more attack-minded partner and protecting the defence. He can also be used to swing free-kicks from long range for attackers to head attempts at goal, and though his shooting isn't that good he is labelled as a star of the future, and could make a real name for himself at this tournament.

#15 - DL - Luka Baalsen - Age 24 - East Franz Athletic - 3(6) Caps
One of the stars of van der Riise's Chicks side for many years, this East Franz left back has impressed hugely during East Franz Athletic's run to being Champions' Cup title-lifters and hugely deserves his repeated call ups to the main Terns side. One of many youngster who has waited patiently for the legendary Pekarik and de Huyer to retire, he will seize this chance with both hands if given the chance to by Edvar Folke. Fast and intelligent, Baalsen can drill the balls in from long distance like a missile, so keepers will need to beware of his ability.

#16 - DR - Dima Petersen - Age 21 - Ituraitz FC (Astograth) - 3(6) Caps
Without much history in the national team, Dima is one of the wave of talented young wing backs the nation seems to be awash with at the moment, and following some impressive performances in the Brevity Challenge Cup, Sol has handed the man based in Ituraitz a call up. He is lithe and quick, quick the change direction and a difficult marker to shift. His tackles are, well, when he tackles you, you stay tackled, put it that way, and his ferocity and determination is a key part of why Sol has called him up.

#17 - MC - Niko Lepka - Age 22 - Royal Vosaroni Antenelli (Erathore) - 6(6) Caps, 8 Assists, 2 Goals
Only 22 years old, many had expected Lepka to be captaining the Chicks in the last Di Bradini Cup. However, Sol saw the talent this young midfielder has to bring the table, and has brought him in accordingly for the Copa, where a number of short cameos offered mere tasters of what he is capable off. Playing for Atletik Thessia before moving to RVA, he is well experienced and highly thought of in Erathore, and likes to give as good as he gets, physically speaking. His real skill lies with distribution, however, and he is seen as the next worthy successor to Demarchelier as a truly creative presence in the midfield. Certainly one to watch as he is another contingent of what is a remarkably youthful Terns side.

#18 - MC - Henning Tir - Age 32 - East Franz Athletic - 24(22) Caps, 4 Assists, 5 Goals
A surprise call up in many ways, Henning Tir's return to the Terns sidee can only have come about thanks to his part in leading his club to Champions' up victory. He will be one of the more experienced heads here, and Sol will be relying on him to provide leadership both on and off the pitch. He is an inspirational presence, and any last minute heroics will be galvanised by his addition. His strong tackles can break up opposing play almost effortlessly, and his long passing is almost unmatched in terms of accuracy, even if his vision isn't the greatest.

#19 - ST - Ellis Elmsvikur - Age 23 - Iturributa United (Astograth) - 7(7) Caps, 3 Assists, 5 Goals
Much is hoped for from Elmsvikur, and amongst a fiercely talented quartet of young strikers in Elmsvikur, Kvitchenko, Bergen, and Kaplowitz, it is Kvitchenko and Elmsvikur who are making the biggest strides into the national side. Imposing and athletic, Elmvikur is the complete package. Fast, nimble, packed with stamina, a dead ball ace, good in the air, and with a lethal shot. He can play as a poacher, or as a supporting striker. You name it, he can do it, and has done. Very highly thought of in the Astograthi league, his star is one to watch, and he will be a key part of Terns sides in the future. Dare we whisper it... 'golden generation'?

#20 - ST - Diedrich Kvitchenko - Age 23 - East Franz Athletic - 3(8) Caps, 6 Goals
With six goals in his few appearances so far, Kvitchenko is looking like developing into a lethal striker, and like Irndtor is capable of playing out wide left or right and cutting in if required to do so. He is fast, and likes to use this to surprise defenders, changing direction and making a darting run that finishes in a first-time shot before many are even aware he changed direction. His ability to find space like this has been likened to witchcraft by a few defenders, and though he might not touch the ball much during the match, when he does, he uses it efficiently. Let's face it, there were two Polarian strikers in the CC-winning East Franz squad, and the nigh-on legendary Henning Blonqvist wasn't the one that made the Terns squad. Yeah. That good.

#21 - AMC - Luc Demarchelier - Age 31 - Cafundó do Juta (Cafundéu) - 103(34) Caps, 73 Assists, 15 Goals - VICE-CAPTAIN
Demarchelier was a key part of the Terns reaching the third place spot when they did. Naturally more of a driving attacking midfielder than a dictatorial playmaker, he will have to get used to playing a deeper role by the looks of the squad Kirkkegaard has assembled. Demarchelier impressed enough whilst in the now defunct Mytanar leagues to ensure plenty of playing time during the world cup, with his fantastic cross for Marek in the third place playoff thought to be one of many reasons he was snapped up by the Cafundulense giants of Cafundó do Juta. His powerful runs with the ball seemingly glued to his feet are a regular sight during the closing parts of many matches, as his stamina will terrify tiring defenders. When Demarchelier is on form, the ball seems glued to his feet, and whilst a little older now, he is perhaps the most devastating weapon that Kirkkegaard holds on his bench.

#22 - DC - Jan Kowalski - Age 30 - East Franz Athletic - 39(10) Caps, 1 Assist, 1 Goal
Being thrown in at the deep end is as good a way to start off your international career as any I suppose, and Jan Kowalski did just that. An imposing presence at the centre of the park for East Franz, he was a dependable substitute at the last World Cup, scoring a fluke goal in the group stage against The Holy Empire, and following the retirement of the imperious Niko Marek he will be looking to prove that the starting place in the lineup deserves to be his. Despite being a key part of East Franz's rise to the title of world champions, he is left on the bench thanks to the dominance of Urfstadt and Ljungberg. Almost a sweeper, he will hang back and mop up any spillages before the keeper is needed, using his quick burst of pace to surprise attackers.

#23 - DC - Luka van Brekke - Age 28 - FC Cape St Paul - 4(3) Caps
Quietly putting in solid performances week after week and keeping out of the limelight will get you far... eventually. And after roughly a decade of first team performances for St Paul, van Brekke is finally getting his chance with the Terns. Dependable and reliable, if unspectacular, van Brekke is a fine defender and well capable of hoding his own against the best of the Federation, and as shown at the Copa in his clutch of substitute appearances, the best in the region. Can he do it against the best in the world? Nothing seems to intimidate him, so I don't see why not.

TACTICS:
The Polarian game is fast, quick, and physical. They won't give you a second on the ball to think, and they won't hold back in the tackle. It is an attack minded game, though when the full backs bomb forward, expect to see Hauge hang back to mop up any counter attacks. In the centre of the park they will play a possession based midfield game, though a defence splitting pass could come at any moment towards the fast and direct attack.

World Cup 20 Champions

The Vilita Jungle Cats are led by the coaching duo of Tika Massa and Kris Wrice. The Football Association of Vilita is based at the Tivali-Ring Stadium in the capital city of Alikki-Corra, Vilita and many National Team training sessions take place on the grounds of the Tivali Ring. The Football Association regularly schedule matches at arenas throughout Vilita, especially bigger matches as many of the stadiums that host Stellar Division and UICA competition matches have expanded far beyond the capacity of the National Stadium at Tivali Ring, which is used only for the National Team, and, for the Vilitan Cup Final and Tropical Trophy matchup.

The Jungle Cats made their debut on the international stage in World Cup 13. The all time top goalscorer is Callum Banda. While not all records were kept, and it is unknown how many caps Vilitan players received prior to World Cup 57, it is known that Callum Banda scored over 100 goals in a Vilitan shirt, a feat made more impressive with the knowledge that almost all of those goals were during World Cup Qualifying or Finals, with Banda playing a limited role in any Regional or Youth matches for Vilita. Serge DuPont is second all time with 72 goals recorded.

Amongst active players, going into the World Cup, Strike FC midfielder Jomur Hulyer was the most capped with 42 appearances for Vilita, with three other players at 41 prior to considering Regional competitions.

GOALKEEPERS:

[ 85 ] Nycflala Kater [ - Strike FC - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 36 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.71 Average Rating ]
Descended of former National Team goalkeeper Jimmy Kater, who took over the starting position on the National Team under the intense spotlight of the World Cup 17 Finals in Vilita and remained first choice keeper for the majority of Vilitan national competition in subsequent seasons before joining the coaching staff for World Cup 31. Nycflala made his full debut for the Vilita National Team during World Cup 57 where he was named the starter in 14 of Vilitas 16 qualification matches. Kater performed strongly with 6 shutouts and a 5.86 average rating. Many claim that the focus on the World Cup 57 Qualifying campaign distracted Strike players such as Kater from performing well domestically in VLeague 26. Kater ensured there would be no dissapointment in VLeague 27 leading Strike comfortably to both the League and Cup titles.

[ 91 ] Aranora Jaded [ - Arcticala Inlet - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 16 CAPS: 2 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.50 Average Rating ]
Jaded was given a great confidence boost by the decision of the coaching staff to sell Jaqe Planst to Cednia Beach AFC. The two young keepers were fighting for the right to be the next Arcticala starting keeper, and Jaded won that job, leading Arcticala to the Tropical Trophy title in Season 27 - on penalty kicks, against his opposite number Planst who was making his first start for Cednia Beach since leaving Arcticala. Jaded let Arcticala Inlet to the Stellar Division title during Season 28.

[ 92 ] Jungrii Canopii [ - Eastal Lunar - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 20 CAPS: 11 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 4.83 Average Rating ]
Canopii spent most of World Cup 57 Qualifications on the bench, earning three substitute appearances in official matches, though he was named starter for the mid-qualification charity match against Akbarabad to raise money for big cats, where he made 11 saves. Despite spending most of the campaign as the primary backup, Canopii was not given the opportunity to start when #1 keeper Kater missed two matches, leading doubts as to whether he is looked upon as a serious candidate for the starting role in the future. After starting at the Inland Academy then signing for Inland Peaks, Canopii left the home-town club when they were relegated from the Stellar Division after Season 26, joining cross-range rivals Eastal Lunar. Despite suffering relegation from the Stellar Division during Season 28, Canopii achieved domestic success as the winning goalkeeper in an epic Vilitan Cup Final where Eastal defeated Arcticala Inlet on penalties after the match ended goalless in 120 minutes.

DEFENDERS:

[ 68 ] Kadi Molali [ - Arcticala Inlet - ]
------- D R ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 39 :: GOALS::SR: 2 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.80 Average Rating ]
Molali has the ability to make stunning runs up the right side of the field and has put together exciting 'from-nothing' goal scoring opportunities in weekly scrimmage matches. Molali was an exciting prospect for the Turoki Academy who was solid, but not exceptional during World Cup 57 Qualifying, making 13 appearances and scoring 1 goal. After joining multiple clubs, including Strike FC, Molali left the VLeague abrubtly in the middle of VLeague 26. After some time off, Molali returned, signing for Eastal Lunar FC and completing a strong VLeague Season 27.

[ 9 ] Ritopa Simafela [ - Strike FC - ]
------- D LC ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 41 :: GOALS::SR: 4 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.63 Average Rating ]
Ritopa was a standout product of the Lunar Academy and was named as one of the captains of Vilita's World Cup 57 Qualifying Squad. The son of a Rocket Scientist and a Physicist, Simafela is already well educated and is in no way reliant on a career in sports. However, strong performances during his debut qualifying campaign including a 6.05 average rating and 2 goals spurred transfer inquiries from foreign clubs and comparisons to Vilitan greats like Enzo Ahat and Ricky Ezis. Simafela transferred to Strike FC for VLeague 27 and was an instrumental part of their double success in the League and Cup.

[ 64 ] Uajiala Pulkki [ - Turoki Tide - ]
------- D C ( AGE: 20 CAPS: 13 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.08 Average Rating ]
Pulkki is a descendent of former Inland Peaks FC defender Pasi Pulkki, and many are saying he could even be better then his ancestors. Pulkki unfortunately lasted barely 22 minutes in his competitive debut against Ipeland in World Cup 57 qualifying, but has put in some more impressive performances since. Like many of his teammates, Pulkki left Inland Peaks after their relegation in VLeague 26, and headed over to Eastal Lunar. Pulkki was a star for Eastal during VLeague 27 earning a transfer to former champions Cednia Beach AFC for VLeague 28. After a season and a half in Cednia Beach, Pulkki moved to the Turoki Tide at the midway point of V-League Season 29.

[ 94 ] Miiara Makose [ - Strike FC - ]
------- D C ( AGE: 19 CAPS: 40 :: GOALS::SR: 1 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.62 Average Rating ]
Makose has Druidan blood, though has been diluted through multiple generations. He was trained as a goalkeeper in Turori but did not want to be stuck in the shadows of Nycflala Kater, so switched over to the defensive role when joining the Strike Academy. The transition was clearly justified as Makose was one of the top performing players in World Cup 57 qualifying, carrying a 6.65 average rating while appearing in 14 of Vilita's 16 group matches. Makose was also part of Strike's dominating VLeague 27 performances winning the League and Cup titles with the club.

[ 3 ] Niubo Deneli [ - Kiiarana - ]
------- D LC ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 9 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.66 Average Rating ]
Deneli was a solid prospect for the Strike Academy before a decline in his development after the age of 15, a time at which he was considered the best defensive prospect in the country. He ended up signing his first professional contract with local side Lonngeylin Coast, helping them get invited to the Declasse for Season 27, and helping them keep that spot for Season 28. Deneli, however, would leave the club and return to the other side of the street to play for Strike FC in Season 28. After a season and a half with his home club, Deneli found himself on the substitutes bench for the first time, and immediately requested a transfer, which was granted as he moved to Kiiarana.

[ 66 ] Sipaao Vereaoao [ - Kiiarana - ]
------- D L ( AGE: 19 CAPS: 1 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.00 Average Rating ]
A product of the Inland Academy, Vereaoao has played in both Vilita & Turori, but committed his future to the Jungle Cats when featuring for them as a half time substitute against Nitrome Island during World Cup 57 qualifying. Vereaoao left long-time home Inland Peaks after they failed to achieve promotion from the Declasse during VLeague 27. Vereaoao signed for Marine Coast United, who had earned promotion in addition to a place in International Competitions. However, with Marine Coast struggling to keep pace in the Stellar Division, Vereaoao jumped ship to free-spending Kiiarana for V-League Season 29.

DEFENSIVE MID:

[ 36 ] Retiso Buran [ - Strike FC - ]
------- DM C ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 40 :: GOALS::SR: 4 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.44 Average Rating ]
Retiso Buran was the top prospect at the Sile Academy specializing in the defensive midfield role once made famous by Jürgen Ramzi. Buran is a ferocious player who some has said can be seen with teeth gritted ready to pounce as the attacking side approaches. Appearing almost exclusively during World Cup 57 qualifying, Buran missed only one game and scored 2 goals during the campaign. Burans perofmances both for the National Team and for Makosile earned him a transfer to Strike FC for Season 27, where he earned the Vilitan Stellar Divisions top goalscorer award for the second consecutive season, the first time ever achieved by a midfielder.

[ 39 ] Tujamu Treola [ - Tivali United - ]
------- DM C ( AGE: 18 CAPS: 6 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.33 Average Rating ]
A product of the Strike Academy, Tujamu Treola excels both defensively in the midfield, and with his head both defensively and on corner kicks. Treola made his competitive debut in World Cup 57 qualifying against West Zirconia, but has never signed a professional contract.

[ 34 ] Danie Izmao [ - Lonngeylin Coast - ]
------- DM C ( AGE: 20 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Izmao was a Strike Academy prospect who, while not rated as the highest defensive midfield prospect at the academy, was still expected to get a run out with the National Squad in World Cup 57 Qualifiers. That chance never came, and the Venom weren't interested when it came time to award professional contracts. Izmao went across the road to Lonngeylin Coast and was instrumental in helping them not only get invited to rejoin the Vilitan League System - but for the first time ever, to stay there for at least a second consecutive season. Izmao is still part of the national team player pool, especially should any injuries come in to play

MIDFIELDERS:

[ 53 ] Resaie Kentiak [ - Arcticala Inlet - ]
------- M RC ( AGE: 19 CAPS: 28 :: GOALS::SR: 2 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.53 Average Rating ]
Kentiak is a product of the Coastal Academy who has played a substitute role in the center of midfield for the Vilitan National Team.

[ 73 ] Manolis Kontalroma [ - Yeaddin Owls AFC - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 19 CAPS: 1 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.00 Average Rating ]
A product of the Kiiara Academy, Manolis Kontalroma can play central or on the left side in a classic midfield role. After signing professionally with Jlinal Cove FC, Kontalroma joined the Yeaddin Owls during Vleague 26.

[ 27 ] Rexii Tzikas [ - Cednia Beach AFC (TUR) - ]
------- M RC ( AGE: 20 CAPS: 41 :: GOALS::SR: 6 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.20 Average Rating ]
Tzikas was the top propsect of the Arcticala Academy, and one of the most highly rated players in the Vilitan National Team pool entering World Cup 57 Qualifiers. The Tzikas name has some history in Vilitan Sport, formerly, Toby Tzikas was a midfielder on the National Team, though he was less known than other former Vilitan Stars as he played his club football in Starblaydia. Rexii was the only Vilitan player to start every single match during qualifications for World Cup 57. His presence was strong averaging a 6.01 rating with 2 goals. Tzikas strong performances also were reflected domestically scoring 9 goals in 2 seasons with Turoki Tide before transferring to Cednia Beach for VLeague 28 season.

[ 74 ] Jian Lejsrma [ - Strike FC - ]
------- AM RL ( AGE: 20 CAPS: 18 :: GOALS::SR: 5 U21: REG: ) :: [ 7.62 Average Rating ]
Lejsrma is a speed demon who was trained at the Strike Academy. The most dynamic and pacey winger in the Vilitan system, he is expected to be a great player for many seasons to come. At this stage in his development, he may get overlooked as he works more on his technique and vision, but with experience, he will learn these skills. Lejsrma has been an important part of Strike FC's VLeague successes

[ 51 ] Steffyn Siazzu [ - Yeaddin Owls AFC - ]
------- AM C ( AGE: 19 CAPS: 41 :: GOALS::SR: 4 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.52 Average Rating ]
An exciting prospect from the Yeaddin Academy, Siazzu plays behind the strikers in a clean up or attacking role atop the midfield. Despite not scoring during World Cup 57 Qualifiers, Siazzu was an important presence.

[ 55 ] Viliaka Morasita [ - Inland Peaks FC - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 20 CAPS: 26 :: GOALS::SR: 2 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.66 Average Rating ]
Morasita was the top prospect coming out of the Tivali Academy, playing central and left midfield. His sure footed tackling ability is noted but he is a well balanced midfielder. After playing a season and a half professionally for Alikki-Corra, Morasita joined the Vilitan League with Inland Peaks FC midway through VLeague 27.

[ 21 ] Jomur Hulyer [ - Strike FC - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 20 CAPS: 42 :: GOALS::SR: 8 U21: REG: ) :: [ 7.60 Average Rating ]
A decsendent of the exciting Marine Coast and Yeaddin midfielder Jonjo Hulyer, Jomur has been compared heavily to his ancestors and even carries the same squad number. Unlike Jonjo, however, Jomur was trained at the Yeaddin Academy. Hulyer would soon become the quickest player to ever represent all three of the original Vilitan Dynasties, signing his first professional contract with Marine Coast United before transferring to Strike for VLeague 28.

[ 25 ] Kiroki Mitaroka [ - Inland Peaks FC - ]
------- M RLC ( AGE: 16 CAPS: :: GOALS::SR: U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
After starting at the Turoki Locals in the Lower Leagues, Mitaroka's talent was spotted by Inland Peaks FC who snapped the youngster up for V-League season 29. At the midway point of the season Mitaroka was setting the Declasse on fire with skillful performances and caught the attention of the Vilitan coaches who added Mitaroka to the World Cup 59 roster despite having never been called to the National Team before.
FORWARDS:

[ 9 ] Lita Adjei [ - Kiiarana - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 19 CAPS: 1 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.00 Average Rating ]
A product of the Turoki Academy, Adjei has sport in the blood, being a descendent of former Stellar Division top Forward award winner Ippolit Adjei. Adjei moved on a loan to newly promoted Hojosan in The Yorozura after WC57 quals as part of an investment deal with the clubs kit sponsors, VIlitan based Vilaye energy drink. When that deal expired, Adjei returned to the Vilitan League, being snapped up by Kiiarana in the Stellar Division and quickly rising to the level of stardom with strong performances and crucial goals during Season 29, seeing the single-cap player called to the squad for World Cup 59.

[ 17 ] Viji-mara Lawaai [ - Strike FC - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 30 :: GOALS::SR: 7 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.48 Average Rating ]
Trained at the Strike Academy, Lawaai has excelled at shooting from long range, and making space on the edge of the penalty area with crafty turns, and may produce opportunities for free kicks if he wears down the opposition approaching the box. Lawaii made 8 substitute appearances during World Cup 57 qualifying, making his competitive debut against Krytenia, but failed to find the scoresheet.

[ 49 ] Xcnaio Bansoa [ - Arcticala Inlet - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 20 CAPS: 7 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.19 Average Rating ]
Bansoa was a training partner of Sirkii Moliaudo at the Coastal Academy, and many believed that Moliaudo's prowess in front of goal was due solely to his close partnership with Bansoa. After not being called to the line during World Cup 57 Qualifiers, Bansoa decided it was time for a change, breaking ties with Moliaudo and Marine Coast United, signing for Arcticala Inlet in the Stellar Division. Bansoa featured frequently for the Jungle Cats during the World Cup 58 Campaign, performing well, but scoring no goals, relegating him from the top selection in the subsequent Cup of Harmony held in Vilita and New Montreal States

[ 13 ] Yves Gadois [ - Strike FC - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 16 CAPS: 5 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.29 Average Rating ]
Gadois became a hot topic in Vilita after rising to glory as the spearhead for Strike FC's Vleague 27 championship, with 8 league goals and an incredibly 6 goals in the Vilitan Cup. Gadois, a product of the Inland Academy, earned an invitation to the National Team Training camp for the first time in the build up to World Cup 58.

[ 44 ] Erocka Lorei [ - Yeaddin Owls AFC - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 19 CAPS: 16 :: GOALS::SR: 8 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.45 Average Rating ]
The top attacking prospect at the Kiiara Academy, Erocka Lorei was expected to get quite a few chances to impress on the national stage during World Cup 57 Qualifying and did not dissapoint, leading the Vilitan team in goals scored with 5 in the competition despite only featuring in 11 out of 16 matches. Lorei claims to be a penalty kick specialist but has not been known for his aerial ability. Lorei signed professionally for Declasse side Liguon Valley during Season 26, but moved on to the Stellar Division during Season 27 with Makosile.

[ 43 ] Kristofer Kilpter [ - Cednia Beach AFC (TUR) - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 20 CAPS: 41 :: GOALS::SR: 7 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.26 Average Rating ]
Kilpter is joint Vilitan & Turori national, but declared to play for Vilita, with the lure of World Cup competition in Vilita's entry into World Cup 57 the key decision maker after the Turorian side was not entered. Kilpter netted 4 times during the World Cup 57 campaign but missed three matches due to an undisclosed injury. After struggling to win silverware with the Yeaddin Owls, Kilpter made the Largest Transfer in V-League history (12.7 kT) to Turorian side Cednia Beach. The transfer was more than double the 4.5kT previous transfer record in the Vilitan League, which was also payed by Cednia Beach to Yeaddin (for Antonis Siazzu).

Home Away Third

Manager
Seydiya At’rod’uin (Andossa Se Mitrin Vega) (F)
Age: 31
A young Vegan who seems a brilliant tactician after her first campaign in charge, taking the Marauders back to the Semifinals. The youngest person to have ever filled a role in the Vanorian national team system, she was been appointed manager after Sloan's failure to get to the quaterfinal stage in back to back tournaments. Her star is in clear accent and looks to achieve even greater things this tournament.

Assistant Manager
Clin Massai
Age: 10, 796
The mind behind Hondo FC's rise to power, he looks to be another one of the assistants who plays mediator between the manager and the staff.

Keeper

1 GK Mariaddren Undodhen, Vincanto (Erathore) ~
Age - 817
Sex - M
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 174 lbs
Undodhen has proved to be a steady and reliable keeper for the national team, though prone to the occasional howler. It is likely this proneness that has kept Undodhen from moving to a larger squad either domestically or abroad and could be a reason for Dart to finally get his chance between the woodwork.

Defenders

17 Hanutaut Lilithian, Soldarian FC
Age - 614
Sex - F
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 154 lbs
Agile and a superb little bit of tackling skill are her best attributes and she uses them well to confound attacking players into making plays that they would rather not.

12 Dwier Titenburg Jr, Royal Khaldoon (Queer Poco el Mono Ara)
Age - 429
Sex - M
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 162 lbs
Titenburg continues to tow the backline with the grit and skill needed to stifle even the most powerful of attacks on a game to game basis. He has far surpassed his father's shadow when it comes to football and will likely not be forgotten any time soon.

9 Thankanion Elenelwa, Mar Sara FC
Age - 612
Sex - M
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 180 lbs
A strong and physical presence that will put some bite into the backline alongside Titenburg.

Midfield

24 Espy va Drake, Yuba United (Paripana)
Age: 729
Sex - M
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 159 lbs
After becoming a folklore hero for the lower class of the world, va Drake has made himself one of the living legends of the game after help leading the side to a title in World Cup 53. He has traveled far and wide while plying his trade, donning kits for no less than four countries clubs, and finally returned him when he signed with United before last season. Seen as the driving force in the middle of the park alongside Hawk, it is up to the opposition to try and figure out how to deal with the brilliance the winger and his other attackers have rather than them to create magic.

21 Aintôrthea Durosa, Cafundó do Juta (Cafundeu)
Age - 738
Sex - F
Height: 5"10"
Weight: 144 lbs
Durosa is one of those players that can play just about any position, as her skill set is vast and adequate in multiple areas. She has done exceptionally well in her CMSC seasons, nabbing goals and assists with regularity and has continued with her transfer to the Cafundeu league. Her good knowledge of va Drake's typical playing patterns has made the two to be a devastating pair for the opposition to contain.

14 Laborious Hawk, Petardos S/A (Cafundeu)
Age - 693
Sex -M
Height: 6'5"
Weight: 213 lbs
Words do not even began to define his talent, his talent defines words. He was awarded one of the spots that the Vanorians have in the World Cup Hall of Fame, with it being very well deserved, as he has and continues to earn everything he has been given every single day.

8 Morronuth Neltanta, Wexax United ~
Age - 724
Sex - M
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 164 lbs
A strong and physical player who uses his body well when shielding off opposing players off the ball. Lacks the pace of some of the squad but is great at keeping possession and finding an outlet pass.

28 Faeron Soldarian, Raynor City United
Age - 607
Sex - M
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 163 lbs
Soldarian continues to live in the shadow of more well known players both on the national team and with his club. Despite this, Soldarian is seen by all on the squad as the emotional leader and the linchpin the in the middle that allows the more attacking minded midfielders being allowed to play their game.

Strikers

6 Allandren Fresco, Petardos S/A (Cafundeu)
Age - 482
Sex - M
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 167 lbs
Fresco has proved once again that he is suited for any role that his managers wish to give him, easily adjusting to Hearts style of play and learning his preferred moves. A great shot and football IQ make him a very dangerous attacker for the Marauders.

11 Lucas Hearts, Hondo FC
Age - 866
Sex - M
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 153 lbs
Hearts is an out and out goalscorer who has a nose for the goal and a talent for getting open even in a crowded box. His skills work quite well with the skill set of Fresco, and it produces a lethal one two strike force that will put fear into the hearts of those teams that must face a proud Marauders squad.
