People in the western world live tough lives. There's the economy, mortgages, taxes, debt and a host of other problems. But that is nothing to the problems of the people in parts of Africa. They have much more serious things to be concerned by. Some don't have a home or water, food or medicine. The climate is often too hot for them to grow a successful crop to feed themselves. There is too little grass to feed any animals they may have. How would you feel know everyday there is the chance you might die of starvation? How would it feel to know that your infant child could die any moment because there is no medicine to cure his sickness? How would it feel to know that you might not even grow enough to feed your family all year on your harvest? Nobody should have to have these worries. Nobody should die of starvation or an easily curable disease. Nobody should have to walk 10 miles for water or hope that it will rain soon for a drink. That is why I have created this tournament. The Greg Jackson Charity Cup is a football (soccer) tournament that I will hold each year. Each year I will donate proceeds to a different charity. This year for every team that enters I will send €1 to the Irish charity Trócaire (max entrants 40). This year they are working in northern Uganda helping the poor communities there after 20 years of war. A link to the Trócaire site will be given at the bottom of the OP.

Please do not hesitate to join as it is for a good cause. The tournament will have 8 groups of 5 teams (or otherwise based on numbers). The top 2 teams will advance to the final 16/quarterfinals and play double legged matches until the final, which will be single leg. There will be no rankings used. RP bonus will range from 0-5 based on length, interest and and readability. Spelling and grammar are not an issues as long as I can read and make sense of it. Scorination should be around 7pm GMT daily and will start 1 day after sign ups are full or the 11th of March if full numbers are not reached. NO PUPPETS MAY BE ENTERED UNLESS I CONSENT (only in dire circumstances). If you would also like to donate Trócaire then follow the link below.
