Benevolence Bowl XXVIII
Mierton Manatees 2-0 Capetown Crocs
Elciega 25', 67'
Mierton Manatees 2-0 Capetown Crocs
Elciega 25', 67'
A rather uninteresting affair as the double winners from the Eastern side of Taeshan rather soundly handled a less than interested Capetown Crocs side in the season opening contest. Florian Wagner clearly is not in goal anymore for the Crocs and young Eamon San Luis takes over for the Crocs. A rare second place side playing in the Benevolence Bowl proved to everyone why Mierton is the favorites again this season after winning the double last year.
Preseason International Results
A mixed bag in the preseason preliminary rounds of the IFCF. Al Haxire advanced to the third preliminary round but thankfully for their hopes of staying in the top division they didn't advance into in-season play. Enderburry for their part rather graciously let a side from Omerica advance in the playoff. Laketown Rangers and 1093 Club de Football Atlantea bowed out in the Challenger's Cup preliminary round with only X Island advancing in that tournament thanks to wins at home and on the road against Casuals Osteria of Krytenia. The Krytenian international fans would surely feel even more gravely wounded as it was Starblaydia wunderkid Jewel Maddison who helmed the Marauders big wins over the Osteria side. Finally Capetown Crocs advanced past both local rivals Metropolis Alligators and Zwangzug favorites, Sporting Esper to qualify for their first Champions' League group stages meaning there will be, for the first time in a long time, two Taeshan clubs advancing to the Champions' League Groups. Mierton got a tough draw with Jungle Strike, 1830 Cathair, and Libertas Bergheim, while the Crocs will surely just be happy to advance as they face Rushmore giants Olympia FC, CA Paulinthal, and relative unknowns Crystal Fair HC. This also means that both youth sides advance to the Group Stages of that tournament where Blacklake Blues will await in the post Group Stage rounds as the Taeshan Youth champions.

Sleepy Hollow 3-0 Laketown Rangers
Taeshan City Miners 0-1 1093 Club de Football Atlantea
A less than thunderous start to the title defense with Mierton losing at home to challengers Yaton FC. The less than thrilling return to play for the Manatees was a big boost for Yaton coming off a failure to qualify to the international scene. Yaton got a good goal out of midfielder Mzukisi Nzo, and a great game from Goalkeeper Michael Steward to get a nice start to their season. X Island, the likely title contenders, got off to a good start against a seemingly rudderless Yenvil Town FC without Larson Sneijder to pull the strings. Jewel Maddison continued where the international preseason started her scoring the opening goal of the season for the Maruaders. Blaise Fortunato would score the second goal off the bench to make it 2-0 for the home side.
New Capetown Falcons started Enderburry's debutante season in the Premier League by keeping them from doing much of anything. Rhydian Campbell provided the winner as the Delaclava midfielder beat two-men on the dribble and then found Paige Eichorn for the lone goal in the defensive chess match in New Capetown. Sleepy Hollow was the big victor of the weekend finding 3 goals against Laketown Rangers in what is the closest thing to a rout the early season matchday had, the Moresville incapability to play soccer non-withstanding. New Manager Lenne Kollenstaart seemingly got his tactics spot on as the Sleepy Hollow side rained in the goals. Kevin McMaster scored twice for the Headless Horsemen.

Laketown Rangers 1-5 Mierton Manatees

Taeshan City Miners 6-2 Sleepy Hollow
And then the goals started coming. A start to the weekend that many would likely find hard to be matched in the further matches as AC Quarant Xa'virt's first match back in the Premier League at home saw them let in 7 to Atlantea Hurricanes. Neither side seemed to have any ideas about playing defense. Young Vdaran striker Nik Cosimidis made a rather impressive halftime substitution scoring a hat trick for the Hurricanes. Blacklake would get a big victory over Yaton on the road as Kaalia Gerstlauer and Esteban Leguizamo scored the two goals for the Blues in a big victory on the road.
The good news for Laketown Rangers is that they scored a goal to get them off the mark. The bad news is they have 8 goals against in the two matches so far as Mierton came into the Stadium on the Lake and seemingly got their week 1 frustrations out as Pierre Elciega scored a brace, and assisted on Zwanzug midfielder Sophie Munshi's first ever goal in the TPL. The first Atlantea derby of the season was rather a shocker as Real visited 1093 and the visitors won the spoils. A rather shocking display from the Cardinal at home saw the visitors get a late winner from Miranda Cadamey and in a rather close affair that proved to be enough for the Shepherds to go home with a win.

X Island Marauders 2-0 1093 Club de Football Atlantea
Mierton Manatees 1-1 Taeshan City Miners
Real Atlantea 1-0 Sleepy Hollow
The first ever Premier League points for Étoile dé Enderburry as they visited Atlantea Hurricanes and found a way to get some goals against the all-time Premier League championship winners. Enderburry youth product Lowen Haines would score the tying goal in the 85th minute for the Stars in a big day for them. Laketown Rangers find themselves in uncharted territory with a third loss in three matches as they visited Blacklake and in the battle of the Lake region sides the Blues once again proved victorious. Harold Batchelor scored the winning goal after assisting on the games' opener for the Blues.
X Island Marauders had a strong display against 1093 Club de Football Atlantea as the visitors hoped to get the bad taste of derby losing out of their mouths but found it replaced by the bad taste of a road loss. The Maruaders were once again bouyed by the strong play of Jewel Maddison but she provided both goals on this evening as she found Anders Fjellberg and Elmo Brubaker in the second half to earn the home side a win. In a rare double appearance in a row Real Atlantea managed a big monday night win over Sleepy Hollow as both sides pushed to keep near the top of the early table. It was Farf winger FU21 Éric Pueyrredón who got the job done for the Shepherds in the 71st minute, after a brilliant through ball from Orson Vanderbilt.
MATCHDAY 4

Taeshan City Miners 3-1 Blacklake Blues
Sleepy Hollow 1-1 X Island Marauders
Real Atlantea 1-2 Mierton Manatees
Moresville FC somehow managed a victory and that means they get the spotlight for once on a season that is definitely not going to be one to remember for the Eastern club. There defeat of likely relegation battling mates AC Quarant Xa'virt was a rather strong performance from a rather weak side. Few Kennedy scored twice for the Owls, with Franceso Tzimisces scoring the third goal for the Owls. Laketown Rangers found a win for once as they hosted Bayern-Algaer and while we'll ignore the goals against, the scored six themselves. Perhaps most important is new striker, same country as the leaving striker but the younger model, Quebecois Wilton Ramos got off the mark with a 70th minute goal for the Rangers.
1093 Atlantea's losing ways seemed to rub off on their city mates Real Atlantea finally as Mierton's visit to the Capital city went well for the league's favorites as the Manatees got a late winner from Dan Kibly as the gangly center-back slammed the ball into the net after a furious corner kick. Meanwhile the home 1093 side also lost, but by 3 goals to 1 to Fadrön Flight. For their part Fadrön had a great afternoon from striker Enigma Montoya whose brace certainly gave the visitors a leg up in the final run of play.
MATCHDAY 5
Atlantea Hurricanes 1-2 Tintown Terrapins

Bayern-Algaer 2-0 Taeshan City Miners
Fadrön Flight 3-0 Sleepy Hollow
Blacklake Blues 1-2 Real Atlantea
X Island Marauders 2-0 Mierton Manatees
A little reversal in game order as the final game of the weekend was the most interesting as the likely top the table battlers had quite a battle in X Island as the Manatees visited and went home rather unhappy as Jewel Maddison scored from the spot and Elmo Brubaker rounded Dan Kibly late to give the Marauders a big win at home to give them a chance in this race. Tintown Terrapins had an exciting afternoon as offseason pickup Larson Sneijder finally got off the score sheet as the Terrapins won 2-1 in Atlantea against the Hurricanes.
Étoile dé Enderburry got their first ever Premier League win as they hosted Hannah and a rather thrilling victory for their fans was a less than thrilling game to watch for any neutrals as the Stars scored early thanks to a Levin Ainsely goal in the 8th minute, and then it was a nail-biting affair for the final 82+ minutes as they held on with literally everything that they had to get the victory. 1093 got a big road victory as they seemed to right the ship in Chinchinhua after an early goal from Wyatt Balthasar was equaled by a Gabriel Lapierre screamer for the Cardinal. Young center forward Ashton MCKringleberry scored his first goal in the yellow and white for the visitors to get them all three points on the road.

Sleepy Hollow 0-0 Real Chinchinhua
Real Atlantea 1-2 Bayern-Algaer
Mierton Manatees 3-0 Fadrön Flight
X Island Marauders 5-1 Blacklake Blues
A big win for Capetown Crocs as they escaped a potential banana peel at home against a less than respectable side in AC Quarant Xa'virt. The Crocs went down early thanks to a Adam Bradley own goal. After that it took a lot of work but the Crocs Mariah Hewitt would score the equalizer in the 70th minute and Santiago McClain would score the winning goal in the 88th minute for the home side to keep them from an embarrassing early season loss. Laketown Rangers meanwhile had no issues avoiding an early season embarrassment as they put 7 goals past Al Haxire including an incredible bicycle kick from Tanrivermiz Niyaz as the Timurian Defensive Midfielder certainly dropped quite a bit of jaws.
Mierton got a big return to form in their big 3-0 victory over Fadrön. Sophie Munshi managed an impressive home performance scoring once but assisting twice for Esteban LaBeouf who scored a miraculous 2nd goal thanks to a curler that likely broke some laws of physics if not laws of beating a man while he is down. X Island doesn't seem to be against beating dead horses either as they managed to put 5 past Blacklake Blues. Jewel Maddison scored again, but it was her through ball Porter Price that will be shown over and over again as the ball seemingly had eyes to find him for what would be the final of the Marauders 5 goals on the night.

Bayern-Algaer 0-3 X Island Marauders
Fadrön Flight 1-2 Blacklake Blues
Laketown Rangers seems to continue to be the place to go for the goals, doesn't matter where the play they score them and get them against. Wilton Ramos scored a brace for the Rangers as his importance in the offense seems to be slowly being figured out by the young Quebec striker. There will be growing pains for the Rangers as they work with their 4th striker in 5 years, but hopefully this one will be a longterm solution. AC Quarant Xa'virt got a big victory at home against 1093 as they had a rather masterful defensive display for a full 90 minutes, and thanks to a 78th minute goal from Markus Packard-Grey they managed to get all the points.
Mierton took a road trip to the northeast and it was a rather fruitful one as they managed an impressive display. Sillian Cantebury scored the winning goal for the Manatees as they pushed a lot late in the game and Canteburry put a rebound in the net to give the Manatees all the points. X Island matched the Manatees results as their visit to Bayern was a big 3-0 victory for the Marauders. Anders Fjellberg scored the opener for the Marauders before he would also assist on a curler from Jewel Maddison. The Savojar midfielder continues to impress for the title challenging Marauders.

Mierton Manatees 1-1 Bayern Phoenix
X Island Marauders 2-0 New Capetown Falcons
Blacklake Blues 6-1 Real Chinchinhua
Fadrön Flight 3-2 Bayern-Algaer
Taeshan City earns their first mention of the city with a rather destructive victory over Étoile dé Enderburry with 4 goals to the good. Linus Throgmorton, the recently named Ko-oren Captain for the Miners would score three times including a 2nd goal from the Penalty spot for the home side. Mierton had a rather rough visit from Bayern Phoenix as the Phoenix got a 85th minute tying goal off of a set piece thanks to an Iris Tennabaum header.
X Island meanwhile does not seem to have a beat they can miss as a rowdy New Capetown Falcons side was rather easily dispatched by the Marauders. A Jewel Maddison free kick in the 9th minute really got the result off to a good start, with Ellen Mateo's toe poke in the 50th minute giving X Island all the goals they really needed in the result. Blacklake became the most recent squad to get more than 5 goals this season as they managed 6 on visiting Real Chinchinhua who barely showed up to the game. Kaalia Gerstlauer seemed to be pushing for another chance at the Golden Boot with her 4 goals on the night.

New Capetown Falcons 2-2 Fadrön Flight
Real Chinchinhua 3-1 Bayern-Algaer
A rather interesting affair in Hannah as the home side managed to thwart an incredibly offensive offense from Laketown Rangers with an offense of their own? It was rather surprising to be completely honest as the Rangers were matched goal for goal by a side, that never really has the goals. Former national teamer Giacomo Pantalaimon scored twice for Hannah as they managed a point in the high flying affair. Mt Ceabring had a big result at home against Sleepy Hollow as the relegation battlers managed a big win thanks to a hat-trick from Quincy LaRue.
A huge result for Al Haxire as the title contenders and leaders X Island were rather caught with their hands in the cookie jar by the Djinnis who managed a huge victory over the Marauders. With the nation's eyes for once on them Al Haxire produced a result that may live in infamy thanks to a Porter Ajax winning goal in the 71st minute. Mierton for their part managed a big victory and moved closer to the title race with a 5-1 win in Quarant Xa'virt as they handed the Athleticos another loss on their seaosn. Pierre Elciega's goals alone would have secured the points, but Sophi Munshi, Dan Kibly, and Elton Kenoby all got in on the action for the title holders.

Bayern-Algaer 1-1 Bayern Phoenix
Real Chinchinhua 0-2 New Capetown Falcons
It has to be talked about almost immediately another huge victory for Mierton as they hung 7 up on the Thunder at home and many would suspect that the Manatees were playing a low scoring American Football game, or had a great Complete Game shutout from a pitcher and not a soccer match. Pierre Elciega scored a hat-trick and Sophi Munshi scored twice in the absolute destruction provided by the Manatees. For their part X Island got back up from their stumble in the previous week as Jewel Maddison scored both of the goals in their victory over Enderburry.
Blacklake scored 6 in the second game of the weekend with 7 goals. The Blues had a nice match once again from Kaalia Gerstlauer, but this time she was only able to score one of the goals, with Ian Wilkinson getting a rare brace for the Darmen international. In Chinchinhua New Capetown managed an impressive victory with Rhydian Campbell scoring the opener but it would be Oscar Sheridan on the highlight reel for the weekend thanks to a brillaint strike from just outside of the box that chipped over the head of the dazzled Goalkeeper.
MATCHDAY 11

Al Haxire 1-1 Real Chinchinhua
Bayern Phoenix 1-0 New Capetown Falcons
A good result for Laketown as they visited longtime rivals Atlantea Hurricanes for a close, intense, matchup that ended with victory for the visitors. Tyler Swan assisted on the first goal for the Rangers, but Wilton Ramos would head him into space for the second goal as Swan made it 2-1 in the 71st minute in Atlantea. Mierton had a big road trip to Moresville where they scored 5 goals en route to another win in the win column. I'm honestly at this point getting quite tired of talking about how many goals Pierre Elciega has scored so I may as well tell you about how much fun I'm having playing the new Gamestation 5. It's a real joy, and the new IFCF Champions' League game is just a real treat, you should buy it.
Blacklake were also big road victors over Mt Ceabring, another relegation candidate but instead of tell you about the deeds of Kaalia Gerstlauer and how much of a great response to winning the Golden Boot she has had, I'll tell you not to buy the new Zboz Series Z. It's kinda shit my guy, doesn't even have any exclusives, and you can't even play the next Charter game. It's exclusive to Gamestation. Come on son, you can do better. Kind of like New Capetown as they had a rather unimpressive loss in Bayern, where the Phoenix found a game-winning goal from new signing Nero Wood from Poafmersia. So if you're ctrl-f ing this write-up from Poafmersia, I guess you got your mention my dude.
