Regional tournaments like these typically start in the 'off-season' between NS World Cups; as the finals of WC61 just started, it will probably be a few weeks before Equestrian States starts it up.

Actually no, it isn't dead. I'm currently planning on reviving this after the current World Cup cycle is over. I've been a bit pressed for time with school since last September, but it looks like February should be a relatively low-key month for me, allowing me to finally get this back up and running.

Expect sign-ups to be open in a week or so. If they aren't, don't hesitate to TG me or post here again.

Style modifiers determine the "style" of play your team employs and then accounts for it in generating scores. A team with a negative style mod would be more defensive, and would be less likely to get blown out, but would also be less likely to run up the score. A team with a positive style mod would be more likely to have a high score, but is also more likely to get blown out (especially against other high style mod teams). A team with no style mod will typically get average scores. Style mods range from -5 (weak offense, strong defense) to +5 (strong offense, weak defense).

Rather, it's that you didn't sign up in the designated thread (which was open for about a month) and when you posted in the IC thread, groups and such had already been determined and signups had been closed.
