Welcome to Market Cup V. This is the page where you can declare that you will be signing up to compete if you are interested. For those of you who don't know, this tournament is in it's fifth cycle and has been successful on all of its previous outings. This tournament can be great for testing your styles, Especially for you if you are looking to see how you team stacks up against other great soccer nations prior to the 58th World cup qualifying or for those, the 45th Baptism of Fire. This can also be used as a good way to get juices flowing for the grand stage. This tournament in the past has been won by great RPers showing that it takes hardly no ranking to win, just the constant RP. Hopefully this tournament will be even better than it's predecessors, and will open the door to a whole new world of great nations. Market Cup V will also be accepting host-bids from any nation that wishes to host. The only requirment from me for a host is that they must be able to put in all the resources needed to make this a fun tournament!

About Ipeland
Ipeland has long considered football the national sport, as most of it's people watch or participate in leagues regularly, which last throughout the year. A large, relatively simple league system covers all areas of the country, providing most towns and villages with local teams. The system is headed by the White Hen Premier League, in which 20 teams strive for the most prestigious title in the whole of Ipeland. The national team, nicknamed "The Sparrows", are 140th in the world, competing in World Cup 57 but not qualifying. The B team has been more successful, winning the first incarnation of this cup. The B team is made of talented youngsters hoping to break into the first team. Ipeland share a rivalry with Fidishwa, who the B team beat in the final of Quall cup 1, 3-0.

Ipeland is an island nation, made up of 1 main island and one smaller one, and some assorted uninhabited ones around the country. A large train network links the whole of the country, while the major cities have excellent public transport, which links to many of the match sites. Being a island with many beaches, Ipeland main source of income is tourism, so hotels are a very low price and there is a good exchange rate. Ipeland's citizens are friendly and very multi-cultural. The weather is occasionally erratic, going from hail to sun in a matter of seconds. Torrential rain occurs in the east side of the country, causing flooding in the rainy season, but that has been and gone.

Experience:
Not much, really. I'm currently hosting the Quall Cup 2, which is at about its middle point at the moment. Other than that, that's it. This tournament will help me gain more know-how in hosting with bigger RPers.

Scorination:
I will use xkoranate 0.3.3. I've had lots of experience with it, and I know my way around it, so there shouldn't be any problems. KPB rankings will not be used. Scorinations will probably happen around 7PM GMT.

Format:
Ideally, something that can be divided by four. There will be a group stage, where the teams play each other once. The top two teams will go into another group, where the top two go through to the semi-finals. It will then be a straight knockout from then on. The losers of the semi-finals go into a 3rd place match, and the winners go through to the final.

The tie-breakers for the group stage will be: points, goal differential, goals scored, H2H matches, H2H goal differential, and finally, amount of wins.

RP Bonus:
The RP Bonus will be evaluated on a matchday-to-matchday basis. I will award up to 5 points, depending on how the RP is written with respect to opponents' permissions. This includes grammar, spelling, quality and effort put into the RP.
