First Ice International Championships (RP/Results)

Postby Camwood » Wed Dec 21, 2011 11:03 am

The Ice International Championships (IIC) is a multiple sport competions much like Civil Citizenry's Water World Championships. Events in the IIC only pertain to those on ice, not snow. If I included snow there would basically be no difference between the Winter Olympics and this.

I've hosted a small tennis tournament for the ITA, and a region association football tournament for a region that's since passed on. I will use xkorante 0.3.2. Style modifiers can be used for Ice Hockey. I will give bonuses to the nation, not each individual athlete. I will use the WC36 rp formula. RP's will be rated on a scale of 1 to 5. RP's will degrade y one point until the total bonus hits 0.

The whole of the tournament will take place in the indoor Dynamo Dome, in Vanler, Quebeca. The Dynamo Dome is normally an indoor turf stadium for the Vanler Dyamo football club. However, for the IIC, the floor of the stadium will be stripped of its turf, to its concrete foundation. Artifical Ice will be made for the tournament. For the first half of the competion, the stadium floor will consist of curling rinks surrounded by a speed skating track. After events in those disciplines conclude, a single hockey sized rink will be made to facilitate hockey and figure skating events.

You can post rosters for curling and hockey. Cut off times can be expected at 19:00 ET (00:00 UTC). The following is a schedule. Curling and Hockey format will be a win and advance basis. Match ups will be alphabeatical for the first round. The non team spoprts will not havea pre medal qualifying.

A few questions...

First, what are limitatios on team sizes, or are there none?

Also, when would this occur? I am mainly curious because I am unware of my potential conflicts IRL between school, college application processes, etc., and if this were during the NS Olympics, I could personally gurnantee I would NOT participate because I would be completely unable to RP.

Thanks.

The number inside the parenthesis is how many total allowed particpants per event if that's what you're asking. If you are refering to the size of the hockey/curling teams, they can be as big as your roster desires.

I hope to get this under way sometime during the first week of January definately before the Olympics.

A Message to the Entrants of the First Ice International Championships

Registration for the First Ice International Championships (IIC 1) have CLOSED. The start date for IIC 1 will be Monday, January Ninth.

The Sports Council of the Avatarian Republics of Gyatso-kai wishes to know of what size shall the ice hockey rink be? In other words, will the rink fit International dimensions or the North American NHL dimensions?
