Format:
As a "tradition" every year the format for Vettrera Football slightly changes. This year there will be no divisions. For the first round every team will play each other once, meanwhile each team will try to move up ranks on a leaderboard, in hopes of reaching it to the next stage. At the end of the first stage the teams will appear as follows.

Champion Tier:
(Teams in this tier at the end of the first round are guaranteed a 1-4 seed at the "Alpha Tournament" Champion Tier consists of the following ranked teams at the end of the 1st round:)

Aplha Tournament: The Alpha Tournament is a 16-Team bracket style tournament held at the end of the season. It contains the 16 best teams and helps determine rankings for the end of the season.

Beta Tournament: The Beta Tournament is an 8-Team bracket style tournament held at the end of the season. It contaions the 8 worst teams and helps determine ranking for the end of the season

Outlook

The Vettrera Football season has begun and the team rivalries have already sparked.
Fans flooded the stadiums for the Demeter Dinos (ranked 16th at the time) @ Castor Cardinals (ranked 9th at the time) game. Many fans were left with a bitter taste in their mouth as the Castor Cardinals were overtaken by the Demeter Dinos (30-33).

Other key match rivalries to watch out for in the upcoming round is the 4th ranked Triton Olympians @ the 18th ranked Tigrera Titans. Both teams are coming off of surprising upsets. The Tigrera Titans were beat by the Ionis Astros 9-17, as the Triton Olypians shutout the Hectate Hawks 17-0. Many are expecting the Titans to make a comeback, but with these two team's ancient rivalry it's sure to be a "godly" battle.

Outlook
The citizens of Vettrera watched on the edge of their seats as long time rivals, the Titans & Olympians faced off. Both teams were apart of upsets in the 1st round. The Titans were shockingly beat by the "1-1" Astros, and the Olympians beat the now "0-2" Hawks. Many expected the Titans to make a great comeback, but instead throughout the entire game they never held the league. The game was relatively good but in the end the Olympians walked away with the lead with a score of "27-33".

Thanks for the heads up. All changes are accepted.

And If you'd like to bring in your own roster of players that's fine. But as of now I don't have my league set up to where you can trade players within my other teams.

Outlook
This third round was a pivotal one for everyone in places 1st-12th as the (2-0) Suread Stallions (@ the time) and the (2-0) Triton Olympians faced off. After four grueling quarters the final score was Suread (21) Triton (6). Although the match may seem insignificant it now helps draw the line between a contender and a champion. The Olympians have some hard matches ahead and if they can't pull it together they may just be fighting for that wildcard spot.

As a result of the Hawk's recent losses, lowness in the standings, and a recent barrage of injuries, the Hectate Hawks welcome their new trainer. The old trainer, Spyros Negezos, had been with the team for two seasons as head trainer, and with the organization altogether for 9 years. The new trainer, Eamon Daylon, was previously a professor at the prestigous St. Gallas Medical College, and will be signing a three year deal.

It is a American football league, you can buy a team and then "manage" it, to an extent. It is very fun, and it would be great if alot more teams could be" owned"...
