Maplier has gotten some bad press this season. With that said, they still constantly perform to the best of their ability and this year they have reached Tier 1. News broke yesterday that the majority (87%) owner of the Maplier Archers, Timothy Hightower, would relinquish the Archers' to the public stock market. He in turn had to buy out all of his other co-owners and take a hefty pay cut at his job. For a while nobody knew why this was unti; "Shocker" Magazine reported that 53 year-old Timothy, was caught having an affair with a 24 year-old supermodel, against his wife of 8 years. As they filed for divorce it was rumored that Hightower's wife would take 70% of all he owns, so to guarantee she would not receive any of the team, he relinquished it to the public. Although he could have just sold his percentage of the company, his wife also owned a small share in the Archers' and she would then gain a large amount of his ownership. With all this said, the Archers constantly perform well, even when they are the center of negative attention. But with a game against the Hawks approaching it's hard to say how much this will affect them.
