Cirona won VWE/WVE 5, 95X lost to Idaniera (an unranked nation which has since CTE'd), so yes 95X has indeed been stopped. We're still the most successful nation overall though. :P

OOC, I realize volleyball is a niche sport. Other competitions with more interest have happened at the same time for whatever reason, causing NSers to do a personal cost/benefit analysis that leads them to RPing the other competition more than the volleyball one. And if we insist too much about RPing, we'd surely scare off those who'd like to participate but aren't that skilled in RPing. Yet, a carefully planned competition held at the right time could work.

It appears there's 28 sign-ups, and one sign-up that's since been retracted. Is there a contingency plan in place to go ahead with a number lower than 32? And/or is the Volleyball World Expo going to be delayed until after whatever else is going on (I think NSWC, I don't know as I don't do the NSWC.)

I'll give it one more day. If by tomorrow morning we don't have 32 then we will continue on with 28. No matter what though, the first matchday will be played on Monday and I will have the schedule up tomorrow morning after I confirm the number of sign-ups. Unless others object to only having three days with a schedule to RP then I can start Tuesday, but I don't feel this tournament has to wait for the WC as they are completely different echelons of NS Sporting competitions. Also, expect scorination to occur between 9:30 and 11:30 am EDT every morning on matchdays.

To be candidly honest, I felt a bit snubbed when I saw the co-host bid for the other tournament, it really felt like Carasatoga and I were the only people actively doing something beyond posting a roster or getting bored and giving up. I understand people sign up for things, and end up busy with RL (or the schedule/plans change), but at the very least if I can help it I try to comment in the OOC thread (or AO RMB/Forum if it's an AO tournament) if I won't be able to participate as I'd hoped (or the very rare instance where I'm doing fine without RPing).
No harmful feelings intended, just sharing a different perspective.

If it's any consolation to you, my team did need some extra points before winning the third game (unlike Quebec, whom my team thoroughly destroyed in three sets). Additionally, I really recommend reading the Wikipedia article on volleyball (in the host info on the IC thread), much more about the sport can be learned there.
