I am officially crediting LiaAqila for the art work in my Roleplays.

She does amazing work.

All the RP artwork shown by me was commissioned by me.

I'd suggest Chomolungma or Syangboche, but that doesn't seem to be working for my guys.

Stick with it, and it will get better once your RP bonus starts to accumulate. It's not uncommon for successful first time nations to be sluggish out of the gate, and then make a late run (yikes for Humaliwo, though). If nothing else, this becomes the season you RP about in WBC 43 and overcoming your adversity.

In NS Sports, you pray and offer sacrifices to Margaret, the goddess of scores and random numbers. Made famous in the World Cup, she's also a frequent mention in the World Baseball Classic.

Yeah. This isn't my first go-around with this stuff, it's just disappointing to be putting in more work than I ever did in the past and still seemingly be getting kinda kicked in the nuts.

Just need to keep at it.

It does get frustrating when someone doesn't post and they still win when you have spent time working on your rp.

Or writing a great sports rp and lose to someone who posted a rp about something totally unrelated like how to make pancakes or the history of their nation.

Just keep at it. The winning is actually in the limitless roleplays you can create not not necessarily coming first.

Hell of an attitude, but a good one. You're right.

It's just been a bit of an adjustment coming back into recalling how... unpleasant Margaret can be at times.

Hey, pancakes are awesome! :p

At least I've been losing in ways that are not too difficult to work with for RP purposes. Like game 6, most of the runs came late in the game, so I could blame them on the bullpen, which fits my RP narrative a lot better than having Ihawa melt down.

As much as a cop-out as it might be, I might have to blame my Eagles for the lack of posting to this point.

It's rare that we win things here in Philly-- I'm sure you understand.

Does anyone know what the record is for most consecutive top-10 rankings? I've been doing a lot of looking back at my WBC posts of yore, and I realized we've been ranked in the top 10 since WBC 29, a streak now of 14 consecutive Classics. I'm sure that Newmanistan or other early luminaries have surpassed this, but I was wondering.

Also a fun side note, in that streak of top-10 rankings, we've been every number except 1 and I believe 8. Goes well with our career zero WBC championships.
Former WBC President (WBC 34-37), Current WBC President (WBC 56-58)

Champions
WBC 48, IBC 35/36, IBS XIII, WJHC VII, URSA 7s I, Port Louis 7s I, CE 29-30 (as NAAZE)

Runners-up
WBC 39/44/50, WCoH 46, RUWC 31, Cup of Harmony 65, IBS III/VIII, AVBF 7s II

3rd Place
WBC 28/32/36, RUWC XXIX, Cup of Harmony 64, IBS V, WJHC V/VIII/XVI/XVII, Beltane Cup II, Londinium 7s II, R7WC VI (eliminated in semis, no 3PPO)

4th Place
WBC 29/38/49, IBS VII, RUWC XXI/XXVI, WJHC IV, Londinium 7s I, WCoH 28, RAHI II

Quarterfinals
WBC 27/30/31/37/41/43/47, IBS VI, IBC 15/31, WJHC VI/IX/XIV, RAHI I, AVBF Rugby Sevens I, RUWC XXIV/XXV

Hosted

Nice statistic, hard to believe no championships.
It would be better then anything we would have done, as we only went from 7-19 before returning in 38. I'm thinking from the early days, probably only Zwangzug could top it. Cass took a couple classics to get rolling, Qazox had a couple classics of a funk, as did Milchama. Maybe Taeshan is a possibility too. After that, I think Super-Llamaland is the only other possibility.

Llama's run at the top also started in WBC 28, so at best he's also had 14 straight top 10s.

Super-Llamaland did not do WBC 33, and was 21st when he returned in 34.
Taeshan did not start until WBC 3, and did not participate in 16 or 17, so he would not be greater then 14 straight Classics.

Unfortunately not all of the hosts included the ranking numbers in some editions. This looks like a Zwangzug record, just a question of how straight classics it is.
